Underneath the Eiffel Tower, Adrian was standing in the shadow as he looked at a part of the city with a serious expression on his face.
(Adrien Agreste: During the day, I'm Adrian Agreste. A celebrity who just wants a normal life.)
Near a high school, Adrian and Alya were helping Marinette up to her feet after she had fallen down while the former picked up her backpack for her. When she turned around, she gave him a sheepish yet thankful look until Chloé carelessly knocked her down to give Adrian a hug while frustrating Marinette in the process.
(Adrien Agreste: But when night falls and Horrors run amok, I take up Garo's title, and become…)
As the sun faded away and was replaced with a full moon, a generic Horror was about to pounce onto a man with light magenta hair tips who was trying to back away from with his hands when a Garo appeared in between them and runs the Horror through with an ornate Longsword, vaporizing it to nothing!

After seeing the human safe, Garo then charged into a group of twelve other Horrors as Ladybug swung next to him with a yo-yo.

By the Arc de Triomphe, three knights were standing on top of the landmark (From left to right, a silver tiger-based knight with two short swords, a bronze dragon-based knight with a straight scimitar, and lastly, a red elephant/wolf-based knight with a long ornate saber) while underneath them are Hawkmoth, who was standing next to a corrupted lookalike of Garo, and Jinga as he plants his cane onto the ground.

Now in front of a ladybug-patterned background, the Polkadotted heroine was now standing side-by-side with Cat Noir. They give each other a nod before the hero tried to give the heroine a kiss, which she jumps over as they transform to their civilian forms, Marinette and Adrian, but this time he was wearing a white trench coat with a checker patterned inside, a hood over his head, and a yellow two-piece Kabuki Lion mask on his face. They then looked at each other like nothing happened, with the girl looking at him with 'cutsie eyes' as Adrian looks at her with a cocky smile as he plants his sheathed sword down.

Now day time, all five of the heroes are now standing in front of the Eiffel Tower while posing side-by-side.
"Killjoy, I am Hawkmoth. I hear that you like to spread joy to everyone at night, so I'll give you the ability to bring joy whenever you wish. However, I want you to save your grand entrance for later today. What do you say?" Hawkmoth asks a man in a suit that matched Hawkmoth's colors and is wearing a coat like a cape as the two were standing in the former's lair. "Why of course! After all, a show should appear the moment it begins, not a moment before or after." The man stated before he transformed, like Mr. Ramier did. After a few seconds, the man was now Killjoy, now sporting a purple jester getup with a green hat over a black cowl with a red upside down heart on it. "Soon, the mayhem and destruction can begin!" Killjoy declared as he then Laughed maniacally before vanishing into the shadows. "I wonder if I made the right choice." Hawkmoth said to himself out of concern at his new ally's behavior.
Meanwhile at the Dupain-Chang's bakery, Marinette was in her bed asleep, in her pajamas with Tikki on her stomach when her phone's alarm went off, causing her to throw Tikki off as she jumped out of bed. "Happy birthday!" She started to say as she jumped down from her bed before hitting a chaise, but got back up with no problems before saying, "happy birthday" again while twirling into her chair before turning on her computer screen, showing a collage of pictures of Adrien Agreste.
Meanwhile, the birthday boy in question was in his bathroom brushing his teeth when Plagg flew up to him holding a piece of cheese with a bow on it. "Happy birthday, Adrien!" "Ugh, Plagg! Get that filthy piece of Camembert out of my face!" Adrien told him while pinching his nose due to the smell of the cheese, which Plagg proceeded to eat.
Back with Marinette, she had walked down to the kitchen with a gift-wrapped box in her hands, after changing into her everyday attire, where she saw Rei cooking breakfast while a woman that looked like Marinette was sitting down, drinking tea. "Marinette, don't forget to clean your room after school today." "Mom, it's Friday, and I'm already doing something with Alya." Marinette tells her mother when Rei tells her that she can just postpone the activity later. After giving it a quick thought, Marinette agrees to clean her room later before walking up to her mom and giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Before you go, Marinette. How about some breakfast?" Rei asks as he uses a spatula to scoop out an omelet that looks crispy. "It took me a couple tries, but I think I've successfully made a cheese omelet that you can eat on the go. Hard enough to hold but soft enough that you don't get a constant crunch." He explains as Marinette carefully grabs the omelet before taking a bite out of it. "Wow, this is pretty good!" "Also, I took the liberty of writing down a cue card for to read from when you see Adrien." Rei then tells her, causing her to nearly choked on her omelet. "Wh-why would I need a cue card?!" "Because as of late, you've been getting more and more erratic whenever you spend time with him." Rei stated before pulling out a card with words on it and gives it to his niece. Hearing this, Marinette sighs before holding the rest of her breakfast in her mouth and grabbing the card with her free hand.
Back with Adrien, he and Eiji were in the dining room of the manor finishing up with breakfast when Nathalie walked into the room with a tablet in hand. "Your schedule, Adrien." "Thanks, Nathalie." Adrien said as Nathalie handed him the tablet before turning to leave, until Adrien asked her if his father considered his proposal. "Well, um… he doesn't think a birthday party would be a good idea." "But it's just a get-together with a friend!" Adrien argued when Eiji looked at him with a look of suspicion, and Adrien noticed this. "Two friends… fine, three if Chloe doesn't bring Sabrina." He admitted while placing down the tablet. And while Eiji chuckled, Nathalie's expression became one of sadness without showing either Adrien or Eiji. "I'm… sorry, but your father's answer still stands." She tells him as she then walks out of the room. "Ugh, I can't believe him! He's never going to stop treating me like I'm not made of glass!" "Well you know what they say, "Old habits die hard". But nothing dies harder than a Horror." Eiji states as he tosses him a red envelope. Adrien then picked it up and reached for his lighter before lighting it on fire, turning the envelope into ashes that magically moved through the air to form words of an unknown language.
" "Lost in a valley of laughs, a jester appears to twist the valley into a wasteland of hidden misery" Well, doesn't that sound fun? So I should keep my eyes out for a party." Adrien theories as he gets up to leave the room. "See you after school, Master." "Keep your eyes peeled, kid." The veteran knight told Adrien as he left.

After a few hours of school, Adrien was waiting for his ride with a boy wearing a blue T-shirt with an eye on it, five wristbands on his right arm, a pair of headphones around his neck, and a red cap with a pair of glasses as he was blowing some bubbles. "Dude, seriously? Has your dad always been such a downer? You'd think he'd at least remember what it was like to be young and wanna party a little." "No, I'm pretty sure he was a downer back then too. It's crazy thinking about how much I've changed, yet he stays the same." Adrien stated as his friend tells him to insist. "Yeah, sure, Nino. And maybe I'll turn back the tides!" "Then how about I have a little convo with your pops?" Nino asks, causing Adrien to actually laugh a bit when Marinette suddenly appeared in front of them, looking as though she was pushed before she straightened herself up and greeted him.
Meanwhile back inside the school, Chloe and Sabrina were standing next to the exit as the former glared at what she was seeing before turning to the latter. "Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing? Don't tell me it's Adrien's birthday?!" She asked irritatedly as Sabrina checked something on her phone before looking at Chloe as she then sheepishly smiled, causing her to facepalm. "Ugh, do I have to do everything myself? Seriously, what are you good for?" She asked herself before storming outside.
"I wanted to gift you a give I ma-I mean. Hold on." Marinette said as she fished out the card she got from Rei and read it out loud. " "Hello, Adrien. I wanted to give you a handmade present that was also commissioned by Eiji Busujima." "My mentor?" Adrien asks himself as she hands him the box. He graciously takes it and opens it, revealing a blue scarf with gold stitching that makes an image of a lion. "Whoa, it's amazing! Thank you." Adrien said to her, causing her to smile warmly, only to get shoved to the side by Chloe. "Out of the way. Happy birthday, Adrien!" She said, replacing an irritated expression for a sweet-hearted one as she then leans forward and kisses Adrien on the cheek. "Ok. Hey, Chloe." He said while gently pushing her back. "Did you get the gift I sent you?" "Uh, no." He told her as she pretended to go on a tangent, saying that the package was too heavy, so they had to get help. "You forgot, didn't you?" Adrien asked after he caught on to what she was doing. "What, me? No!" Chloe lied before she walked back into the school with a fake smile.
Meanwhile on the other side of the street, Jinga was sitting on a park bench while periodically looking across the street, currently seeing a silver-colored car pull over for a second before driving away, showing that Adrien had gotten in before Nino proceeded to walk in the same direction. As Jinga saw this, he pulled out a flip phone and dialed in a number. "Barago, the target is heading for the Agreste manor. Have Killjoy follow him, but tell him not to be spotted until he's alone and feeling miserable."
"Understood, Jinga." Barago said through his own phone before hanging up and looking to Killjoy. "Nino's on the move. Follow him through the shadows, but only reveal yourself to him when he's alone and feeling sorrowful." "Yes sir." Killjoy said as he then pulled out a large white cloth and lifted it, covering his whole body. "Now you see me, now you don't." Killjoy stated as he dropped the cloth and fanished with the wind, leaving Barago alone on the rooftop of a building.

Meanwhile in Adrien's bedroom, Eiji was prying the top open of a small wooden box that was one foot tall. The moment he got it opened, he reached inside and pulled out a bulky object wrapped in a black cloth.
Eiji then took it outside of the room, heading to the lobby and walking up to the door on his right before opening it on his way in, seeing Nathalie at a desk on the left. "Hey, Nathalie, did you get Adrien a gift yet?" He asked as Nathalie looked up from her computer. "Hm? Mr. Agreste never asked to." "Wait, you buy a gift for the kid, just so his recluse of a father can take the credit?" Eiji asked bluntly as she stated, after a short pause, that when he puts it like that, it sounded terrible. "Anyway, why do you ask about the present?" She then asked as he then walked up to the desk and placed down the item in hand before unraveling the cloth, revealing a football-sized stain glass egg inside an hourglass-like container. "Consider it a gift from yourself." He told her when they heard Gabriel through the intercom. "Nathalie, did you remember to get Adrien a gift from me?" He asked right off the bat as Nathalie looked confused for a second before realizing what he meant. "Oh, yes! I have it with me right now." She lied as Gabriel simply nodded and the screen disconnected, leaving Nathalie to sigh In relief before being pushed out of her seat by Eiji. "I said that was for you to give, not him." "Apologies but Mr. Agreste is not someone to say no to." Nathalie claimed as she got back up and dusted herself off while Eiji rolled his eyes in response. "Besides, why does it matter to you?" She then asks Eiji, causing him to turn away before telling her that it was none of her concern when they heard the doorbell ring. Nathalie answers it after giving Eiji one last look and sees that it was Nino on the other line. "Yes?" "Uh, hi." He said nervously.
After a few minutes, Nino was standing in the lobby with Nathalie and Eiji as the former was fidgeting with bottle soap. "He'll be here in a minute." "Word of advice: Look and act professional." Eiji told Nino as he snatched the bottle away from him and tucked it away in his coat just as Gabriel arrived from the right side of the stairs. "Adrien's not home yet." "Uh, I was coming to see you, du-sir." Nino stated as Mr. Agreste looked confused yet intrigued. "Yeah. In fact, I wanted to talk to you about Adrien. He told me how you don't want him to celebrate his birthday but-" "You want me to allow a party but I won't. That's final." Gabriel told Nino as he raised a hand to silence him. "Come on, du-I mean sir! Please? He always works hard, and succeeded with flying colors. Can't you at least let him know-" "Nino?" Both Nino and Gabriel then looked to where the voice came from and saw Adrien coming through the door. "You're here?" "To try and help you, dude." Nino stated to Adrien before turning back to Gabriel. "Anyway, can't you just show some appreciation for his work? It's just two people tops." Nino pleaded only for Gabriel's composed expression subtly changed to one of anger. "Listen, young man. You may think you know Adrien, but I've dealt with his more rebellious side. So until you have too, leave now!" Gabriel ordered angierly which causes Nino to look saddened while Adrien looked disgusted! "Father, he was just trying to help you see reason!" Adrien told his father, only for Nathalie to walk in front of the two as Gabriel walked away. "Goodbye." "Oh no, we're not done here! Get back here, father!" Adrien demanded as he walked past Nathalie and up the stairs when Eiji decided to push Nino out of the mansion quickly before giving him back his bottle. "Sorry kid, but you do not want to be here when those two get into an argument. And don't worry, we'll find a way to get the party going." "YOU ARE THE REASON PEOPLE TURN INTO WEREWOLVES!" "Shit! No time to talk, just run!" Eiji told Nino with urgency as the latter ran! "And that is a Choice! Not a curse!"

Now far from the manor, Nino sat down at a bench before holding out his bottle. He was going to open it up and blow a few bubbles, but chose not to before hearing a kid crying about wanting to keep playing, but was told he had chores to do by his dad as he was pulled away. "Ugh. Why do adults have to be so… complicated?" Nino asked himself when Killjoy snuck up behind him and spoke to him. "All stages of life are mysteries." Nino then screamed and fell off the bench! "Wh-who are you?!" "Oh, just someone who agrees with how people can be no fun." Killjoy stated as he held out a hand for Nino to grab it and pull himself up. "Tell me, what's eating at you?" "It's not really your business but, it's my friend's birthday and his pops won't let him even one friend over to celebrate it." Nino explains as Killjoy hummed understandingly. "Then go through with it. If we all asked for permission for everything, we'd never get things done." "You think so?" Nino asked as the jester nodded and then told him that parties are thrown by those who care, not family solely. "Yeah. Yeah! You're right, and who's one of the most caring people Adrien knows?! Me! So let's throw my bud the party of a lifetime! You with me, dude?!" "I'd say, 'putt'er there, you son of a gun!" Killjoy declared as he held out his right hand with an Akuma hidden in his sleeve. Unfortunately Nino doesn't see this and grasps Killjoy's hand with the one with the soup bottle in it, inadvertently getting infected by the butterfly as Hawkmoth's symbol appears on a surprised Nino's face!
"Hawkmoth is my name and Bubbler is now yours! I've heard you wanted to throw a party but certain people are getting in the way. So I'm giving you the power to be a bouncer as well. And in return, all you have to do is help me get something from Ladybug and Cat Noir." Hawkmoth told Nino as the latter started calming down and listened to the villain when an image of Ladybug and Cat Noir's jewels appeared in front of Nino. "Yes, Hawkmoth." Nino says with a menacing tone and smile as he became a bubble-themed villain with a sword-sized bubble wand sheathed onto his back called Bubbler!
Bubbler then jumped onto the roof of a nearby building. "No more adults means total freedom! This is SOOO sweet! Off the hook even!" Bubbler declared as he pulled out his sword and shot himself off the building before ricocheting all over the city, leaving behind hundreds of bubbles that capture any and all adults in the area!

In a dark room lit up by candles, Rei was standing in front of a man in white suit. "So here's what we know: The holder of the Butterfly Miraculous uses the victim's emotions and mental instability to create enemies to fight this Ladybug and Cat Noir. But the question is, why?" The man asked Rei in a French accent. "Perhaps I'll ask him when he decides to show up." Rei tells the man almost sarcastically when Eiji walked in on them. "Watchdog Pierre. Another Akuma is on the loose." "Ah, Mr. Busujima. I see you're finally being proactive again. You two know what to do." Pierre told the two as they nodded and ran outside.
(Agreste Manor)
Meanwhile in the dining room of the mansion, Adrien was finishing up with lunch. "Wow. That was a birthday lunch break to remember. Yay." He said sarcastically as he walked into the foyer and found that it was more quiet than usual. "Nathalie? Gorilla? Eiji!?" Adrien called out before waiting a few seconds for a response, but got nothing before he sighed. "Father?" He called out reluctantly but, once again heard nothing. Now on guard, Adrien placed a hand on the sword in his coat as he slowly approached the front door, proceeding to open. When he stepped outside he was greeted with loud cheering from his classmates which startled him enough to almost draw his blade all the way when Bubbler spoke to him from above! "Hey, hey, hey, birthday boy! Guess what? Daddy's gone. And while the cat's away, the mice will play." "Nino?!" He asks as he resheashed the sword. "The Bubbler's brought all yo homies together for one single-sole purpose, to ce-le-brate!" The villain declared before the students cheered again as Adrien decided to walk back inside to process what just happened.
Moments later Bubbler started playing music on a DJ system as everyone danced while looking miserable. "Come on, everybody, I brought you here to party! So dance or you'll join the adults up in the sky!" Bubbler ordered the party before laughing like a nutcase as Killjoy set off some fireworks. Fortunately the fireworks acted as sort of a beacon to attract anyone in paris, particularly Ladybug. "It's you and me, Bubbler." "No it's just us, niece!" Rei declared as he and Eiji approached her from behind. "What are you two doing here? It's dangerous." Ladybug told them as Eiji just walks past her and looked to the mansion with a stern look. Eiji then pulled out a black rectangular piece of paper before suddenly being surrounded by hundreds of the same type of paper as he then flew to the manor, leaving Ladybug surprised! "Well, we better get a move on." Rei told her as she snapped out of it and nodded to him. They then followed suit as Rei's blades shot out of the hilts, connected to a wire, as they stuck into a building, letting him swing like Ladybug.
Back at the manor, everyone was still partying as Adrien was 'enjoying' himself as he walked over to a blonde-haired girl wearing a light magenta dress. "Hey Rose, sorry about this whole situation. But I have a plan to get everyone to safety while Ladybug and Cat Noir stops Nino. Pass it on but don't let him get wise." Adrien told Rose as she gave him a thumbs up before walking over to the nearest person and whispered the same thing to him.
Meanwhile Chloe and Sabrina were with Bubbler when Sabrina requested a slow dance for Chloe. "It's a bit early for that, isn't it?" "It's for Adrien. His first slow dance." Chloé clarified while shoving Sabrina down and making an innocent face. With that act, Bubbler finally went along with it and played some slow, romantic music as everyone paired up and danced, some still with a saddened expression and others with a reassured one. "A slow dance, now?" "Who cares, let's go dance!" Cholé said after walking over to Adrien and pulling him into a dance.
During all this, Ladybug, Rei, and Eiji had just arrived as they saw the dance happening as two of them were on the balcony. Eiji and Rei then saw Bubbler turning away from the party to look through his collection of records while Ladybug, however, only focused on Adrien and Chloé dancing when the latter leaned in for a kiss while the former tried to back away. "There is no way this is happening. Lucky Charm!" Ladybug called out as she activated her power and tossed her yo-yo into the air as it created a record. As it fell, Rei caught it mid-air before giving his niece a disappointed look. "Keep your voice down. The music won't mask all your shouting." Rei scolded her as he handed it to her. Ladybug then looked around to see how she could use the object. And then, she did. She throws the record at a ledge, surprisingly not breaking it, as it bounces off and lands on the DJ booth, cranks the volume up to max before landing on an empty spot and starts playing!

As the music changed, everyone stopped dancing and looked around while Adrien took this opportunity to break away from Chloé and Bubbler took notice of the change. "Dude! Who hijacked my mix?!" "THAT WOULD BE ME!" Rei yelled as he was suddenly wearing silver armor and was flying at Bubbler with a kick, forcing him away from the booth! Then as he kneeled, Rei crossed his arms around his face as a tiger-themed helmet appeared over his head to conceal it from the civilians as he then rose up, wielding two curved short swords before roaring like a tiger! "What the heck, dude?!" "No party crashers, Zero!" Bubbler and Killjoy said respectively and angrily!
(On a cold winter morning, in the time before the light! In flames of death's eternal reign, we ride towards the fight!)
Eiji then joined in with his sword drawn and struck Killjoy's right shoulder while Zero charged at Bubbler! "EVERYONE, QUICK! INSIDE!" Adrien yelled out as everyone did just that, clearing the area as the heroes and villains fought on!
(When the darkness has fallen down, and the times are tough all right! The sound of evil laughter falls around the world tonight!)
"Everyone, upstairs! I'll lock the doors!" Adrien ordered his schoolmates, causing them to run and hide in the rooms that were up there as he ran back to the door they came through before stopping.
(Fighting hard, fighting on for the steel, through the wastelands evermore! The scattered souls will feel the hell, bodies wasted on the shores!)
"Time to spring into action." Adrien said as he jerked the left side of his jacket, causing Plagg to fly out while he danced to the music blasting outside. "Plagg, Claws out!" Adrien said, causing Plagg to get sucked into the ring by surprise!
(On the blackest plains in hell's domain, we watch them as they go! In fire and pain, now once again, we know!)
Back outside, Zero had been thrown into a wall as his armor flew off from the impact! "Not so tough when you can't cut loose, are ya?" Killjoy when he was suddenly struck from behind by Cat Noir's staff, now as a spear!
(And on the wings of a dream, so far beyond reality! All alone in desperation, now the time has gone!)
"Cat Noir!" "Everyone, group up!" He told the other heroes before he pulled Rei up and they all regrouped in front of the stage as the villains did the same in front of the balcony!
(Lost inside, you'll never find! lost within my own mind! Day after day, this misery must go on!)
Bubbler then sheathed his sword into his back canister before yanking it out and spinning fiercely, causing hundreds of bubbles to fly from the gap of the sword while Killjoy pulled two kusarigamas out from his sleeves and threw them at the four!
(So far away, we wait for the day! For the lives all so wasted and gone! We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days!)
"Rei, Eiji, scatter!" Cat Noir shouted as he and Ladybug began to strike down any bubbles that would've directly touched them right before he threw his spear at Killjoy, grabbed the two incoming chains before cutting them, and started to spin them like a clock in fast forward, destroying the bubbles more effectively! Meanwhile Killjoy had caught the spear, only to be kicked away by Rei as he and Eiji rushed over to Bubbler
(Through the fire and flames, we carry on!)
Bubbler was able to see them coming, but too late! Eiji swept Bubbler's legs, causing him to fall onto his face before Rei yanked off both his canister and sword before throwing them to Cat Noir and Ladybug respectively! Together, they broke both objects simultaneously, but the Akuma only came out of the sword as Bubbler began to revert back into his true form, just in time for the song to end and for Ladybug to ensnare the Akuma into her yo-yo.
Just then, Ladybug heard her earrings start beeping three times, causing her to gasp and placed a hand on her right earring. "I'm almost out of time!" She declared before she looked around looking for Killjoy, but couldn't find him! "Where is he?" Ladybug asked just before handkerchief rope wrapped around her neck and hoisted her up like a noose, leaving everyone in shock as they followed the rope upwards to see that Killjoy was currently on the balcony, now featuring sharp teeth, serrated claws, and his lower half now took the form of an armored centipede! "You know, before Hawkmoth, I could only let my greatness shine in the dark. But now, I'm free, and NO ONE is gonna mess that up for me!" He told them as eight spiked tendrils emerged from his back and the rope around Ladybug's neck grew tighter, causing her to fully start gasping for air! Thinking fast, Cat Noir hastily looked around for his spear while the others prepared themselves for an attack! "And now, Makai Knights, I shall kill four birds in one go!" Killjoy shouted with a distorting voice as his spikes began to fire from the tentacles just as Cat Noir found his spear!
In that moment, he was able to run over to the spear and pick it up before hurling it at Killjoy! "Au revoir, Ladybu-" Before Killjoy could finish his sentence, he suddenly felt Cat Noir's spear impale between his chest and ribs just as he heard his tendrils impact the ground before turning his head to see Cat Noir running up one of his tendrils. "Hm, I guess the curtains have closed for me after-all ." He weakly said to himself before Cat Noir reached Killjoy, sliced through him all the way, and chopped down the rope that was holding Ladybug! In an instant, everything that his Akuma gave him disintegrated before he did the same, leaving only a white butterfly behind.
Back on the ground, Rei was attending to a gasping and coughing Ladybug while Eiji collected the Lucky Charm-themed record. "Rei, catch!" Eiji shouted just before throwing Rei the red and black-pokadoted red like a frisbee. "Ladybug, hurry. You only have a minute left!" Rei told her as she began to slow her breath before grabbing the record as she slowly got up. "Okay… just give me a minute." Ladybug asked before taking a deep breath and throwing the record into the air! "MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!" She yelled as the record turned into hundreds of ladybugs as they flew all over Paris, putting every adult back on the ground safely. "Pound it?" She asked proudly, only to be met with nothing as Rei, Eiji, and Cat Noir all disappeared, leaving her very briefly to feel like she should take the 'hint'.
"What the hell was that?!" Rei asked as he, Eiji, and Cat Noir stood on the roof of the mansion. "Obviously, it was a Horror. It must've used an Akuma to use his powers freely." "So anything 'living' can use Hawkmoth's Akuma." Cat Noir theorized after Eiji stated the obvious. "This does not bode well for us. What're we going to do?" Rei questioned before Cat Noir walked over to the nearest ledge and extended his staff all the way to the ground, acting as a fire poll. "We'll have to discuss this another time, right now we need to slip back into society." He told the two knights as he then gestured for them to slide down.
(Gabriel's office, 2 hour later)
After the incident, Nathalie was sitting in her chair when she heard Gabriel speaking to her over the intercom. "Nathalie, did my son like his gift?" "I was going to check right away sir!" Nathalie told him with a slight panic to her voice. "Good." He said almost ominously before the line was cut. Afterwards, Nathalie looked to where the egg and container were last left, untouched, before she picked it up and walked to where Adrien was currently.
In the dining room, Adrien was swishing a small glass of milk a bit when Nathalie came into the room, trying to keep her composure as she walked up to him. "A birthday present. From your father." She said to him as she presented the container to him, causing Adrien to look at the gift in surprise as he carefully took the container. "Thank you. I mean, say thanks to my father, you know if you want." Adrien told Nathalie while rubbing the back of his head. Nathalie only nodded and walked out of the room, where she saw Eiji leaning on the wall right next to the door. "So you heard that?" "I have no idea what you're talking about." Eiji retorted to Nathalie after she turned the corner to face him. "I can tell you don't want to be here. So why did you do it?" She asked, suspecting that he was hiding his true feelings on his situation. This got Eiji to slightly soften his expression before he walked away. "Just keep an eye on Adrien and that egg, the second its container is opened, it'll begin the process of hatching. And the creature inside must be protected at all cost." He told Nathalie as he walked to the front door, leaving Nathalie alone in the lobby with a smug look on her face. "Well, it's a start."
