Near a high school, Adrian and Alya were helping Marinette up to her feet after she had fallen down while the former picked up her backpack for her. When she turned around, she gave him a sheepish yet thankful look until Chloé carelessly knocked her down to give Adrian a hug while frustrating Marinette in the process.
(Adrian Agreste: But when night falls and Horrors run amok, I take up Garo's title, and become…)
As the sun faded away and was replaced with a full moon, a generic Horror was about to pounce onto a man with light magenta hair tips who was trying to back away from with his hands when a Garo appeared in between them and runs the Horror through with an ornate Longsword, vaporizing it to nothing!

After seeing the human safe, Garo then charged into a group of twelve other Horrors as Ladybug swung next to him with a yo-yo.

By the Arc de Triomphe, three knights were standing on top of the landmark (From left to right), Zero, Giru, and lastly, a red elephant/wolf-based knight with a long ornate saber) while underneath them are Hawkmoth, who was standing next to a Kiba and Jinga as he plants his cane onto the ground.

Now in front of a ladybug-patterned background, Ladybug was now standing side-by-side with Cat Noir. They give each other a nod before the hero tried to give the heroine a kiss, which she jumps over as they transform to their civilian forms, Marinette and Adrian, but this time he was wearing a white trench coat with a checker patterned inside, a hood over his head, and a yellow two-piece Kabuki Lion mask on his face. They then looked at each other like nothing happened, with the girl looking at him with 'cutsie eyes' as Adrian looks at her with a cocky smile as he plants his sheathed sword down.

Now day time, all five of the heroes are now standing in front of the Eiffel Tower while posing side-by-side.

Two days after the Pharaoh incident, Marinette was standing on the balcony with Tikki as they were looking at a photo of Adrien. "How about inviting him to a movie then?" "Right, Tikki. Can you imagine that conversation?" Marinette asked as Tikki did her impression. " "Hey, Adrien, would you like to- gah bugh blah." "Exactly. I can't help it anymore. When I first met him, I could probably chat with him all dang day. But now, I get all clammy and I feel like fainting." She explained as she looked at a large cloud before imagining Adrien's face in it. "So… basically, the only way you could have a normal conversation with him now, is if you're blindfolded." "Pretty much." Marinette confirmed before Tikki got an idea. "There is a very simple solution to that, Marinette, you just need his phone number. You can talk with him without seeing him." "You're right, and I know who'll have Adrien's number!" Marinette claimed as she speed-dialed Alya.

At the park, a crowd had gathered as they stared at a statue covered by a large white sheet. Next to the statue were a young man with a brown soul patch and bun on the back of his head and Mr. Bourgeois. "I'm sure you've outdone yourself, Théo." "It was my honor. And I can't wait to meet Ladybug, I hope she'll autograph the photo I used as the inspiration for the statue." Théo said as he pulled out a cutout picture of Ladybug swinging through Paris at night. "Just remember; this is for both Cat Noir and Ladybug. Speaking of which, they should already be here by now. I went through a lot of trouble tracking them down."
Meanwhile, in Watchdog Pierre's hideout, he was reading a letter that was written in an Unknown language. " "Watchdog Pierre, per your request, the senate has decided to allow you the usage of one of our best trackers in the Order for the task of hunting down Hawkmoth." Perfect. Now I just need to wait for Adrien to complete the Trail of Shadows." He said as he now watched a statue of a wolf's head.
Back with Marinette, she was in her room and on a chair as Alix was sitting on a loveseat with a notepad in her hand. "I still can't believe you thought Alya would have Adrien's phone number. They've never hung out before." "I figured that since she's sociable, she could help me." Marinette claimed as Alix looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Right. So anyway, since you claimed that you can no longer talk to Adrien normally, I've given you a list of icebreakers to use." "But all the teachers say that I don't sound natural when I read." "Please. It's like riding a bike; you never forget!" Alix stated as she gave Marinette the notepad while typing in Adrien's phone number on Marinette's phone with one hand. She then looked at the pad and phone before letting go of the pad. "Forget it! This is never gonna work!" "Too bad because I already hit Call." Alix told Marinette, getting her to notice the ringing before she panicked, acting like it was going to explode. "Hey, this is Adrien's voicemail. Leave a message at the end of the beep." "It went to voicemail." "Then leave a message. Tell him to wanted to talk to him." Alix said to Marinette. "Hello, uh haha, Adrien's voicemail… this is Marinette, who… has a message for you. Of course it's, uh, your phone, so, umm… callmeseeyoulaterbye!" She said before hastily throwing her phone onto the chaise. "Wow. That was pathetic." Alix declared as Marinette wheeled over on her chair, looking ashamed. "I'm sorry. But what did you expect from me? "Hey, hot stuff, this is Marinette, I'd ask you on a date to a movie, but I've got such a crazy crush on you that the only way I can talk to you now without foaming at the mouth is over this stupid phone." Pretty ridiculous, right?" She asked as Alix was genuinely surprised at the sudden confidence at display. "If you wish to hear your message, press 1. If you wish to erase your message, press 2. If you wish to send your message, press 3." "Ohohoho! You gotta send that one!" Alix stated as she laughed after coming to terms with what Marinette said before she dove onto the chaise and grabbed the phone, hitting a button. "Message sent. Goodbye." The phone said, causing Marinette to scream in shock before dramatically falling onto the chaise. "You're overreacting. Sure it could've gone better or worse, but at least you told him the truth." "The voicemail recorded my whole conversation." "And?" Alix asked. "I called him "hot stuff". He cannot be allowed to hear that message, Alix! If he does, I'll die of shame!" "No you won't! Listen, when Adrien hears the message, he'll be confused at first. But he will understand and try to help you. Trust me, I've spent time getting to know him like Nino did." Alix told Marinette before heading for the trapdoor. "Now, before I go to the unveiling of the statue, I want you to promise me that you won't do anything drastic." Alix told Marinette after she stopped at the door, looking her dead in the eyes. "I promise." "Ok." She said before heading downstairs, leaving her alone. Unfortunately, this wasn't good as she slowly got anxious before she started freaking out! "What am I thinking?! Of course it won't be alright! I have to get to his phone before he does." Marinette stated before Tikki came out of hiding. "Marinette, you can't do that!" "You're right, Tiiki, not without knowing where he is and what he'll be doing." She told Tiiki as she walked over to her work station before pulling down a calendar with Adrien's schedule and various other events on it. "He's got fencing class every Thursday, that's why he didn't pick up! It ends in exactly twenty-two and a half minutes." "I have seen what has happened and what could've happened, but I have no idea what I'm looking at." Tikki claims as Marinette went down stairs.
In a white void with similar ruins to the ones in the letter, Adrien, who had a few cuts through his shirt and was without his duster and wielded a bladed circular shield in addition to his jian sword, is currently in a fight with a Garo with red eyes and a black cape as they circled each other. "You have endured much to reach this point in record time, but now that persistence ends here." "My persistence is what will help me win this." Adrien told Garo as he rushed it, thrusting his sword, causing it to parry the attack before attempting to retaliate as he blocked the strike with his shield before squeezing the handle, causing the blades to spin like a saw! This throws Garo off as his sword went flying, leading Adrien to stab its foot before punching Garo rapidly in the face until it ripped both weapons off and away before punching Adrien in the face! As he was staggered, Garo took advantage of the moment by recalling its sword and repelling Adrien further by creating ink-like waves of slashes, cutting his clothing and skin even further! As Adrien got back up, he began to breathe heavily as he saw Garo brandishing its sword, creating more waves. "What's wrong, too scared to fight me without a weapon?!" He asked as he ran towards Garo before sliding underneath a slash to punch it in the groin, causing it to actually buckle! He then grabbed Garo's arm and forced it to release the sword before throwing it over his shoulder and backing away to kick the sword away! As Garo got back up, it then waited for Adrien to make the next move before deciding to do so instead, leading to Adrien catching a punch before forcing it behind its back, causing it to spin around and elbow him in the back of the head that forced him to the floor! However, Adrien was able to throw himself back up while thrusting his leg into a donkey kick into Garo's abdomen, knocking it to the ground! After flipping himself back up shortly after, Garo motioned for Adrien to pick his sword back up as it went to do the same, showing a slight limp. Afterwards, they charged at each other as they readied a strike. However for Adrien, instead of following through, he changed into a reverse grip before spinning 180 and ducking under a sideways slash, impaling Garo through the triangle-shaped buckle. Following up, Adrien then grabbed the collarbone of the armor and threw it onto the floor while repositioning his right hand on the sword, effectively pinning Garo!
Back with Marinette, as she ran outside, Tikki followed her. "Marinette please, this is insane. Besides, Ladybug needs to be at the unveiling!" "Yes, but Marinette needs to be at the school first." Marinette tells Tikki as she stopped at a crosswalk for a moment. "But it is in your honor." "And it's my honor that's at stake right now. I'll be in and out of there in five minutes. We can be at the ceremony in no time!" She claimed as she resumed running to the school. "We don't know how long it has been going on, or who knows if they'll be there in five minutes! I'm sorry, Marinette, but this is for your own good!" Tikki declared as she flew into the Miraculous, forcing her to transform into Ladybug as she was confused. "What are you-ah!" She was interrupted as she crouched down and grabbed her head in pain for a moment before she steadily rose back up. "I didn't want to do that, Marinette, but you're losing sight of what's important." Ladybug claims as her voice was now a mixture of Tikki's and Marinette's. However, as she was about to walk to the ceremony, she misjudged the placement of her feet and tripped over herself. "Right. It's been 800 years since I had to possess my holder." She stated as she got back up before taking out her yo-yo and throwing it to Marinette's balcony, launching her over the building before she landed in the park, and next to the statue. This gets the crowd to cheer for her. "I knew you'd come, Ladybug. Could you autograph this for me?" "Sure. It's the least I can do for the piece of art you made here." Ladybug said to Théo as she took the picture while being given a pen before she did her best to write an autograph on it, which didn't look right. "Excuse me. Do you know where Cat Noir is? At this point we might have to proceed without him." Mr. Bourgeois asked as Ladybug handed the autograph over to Théo before looking at him. "You may be right. Knowing him, he's probably doing a last-minute patrol to make sure the ceremony goes smoothly. He may be care free, but he's also dreamy." Ladybug said before clasping her hand over her mouth in shock, confusing Mr. Bourgeois and Théo. "Ca-cautious! I mean cautious. He's care free, but he can also be cautious. Hehe." She clarified as her arm tried to reach for her yo-yo, only to be grabbed by her other arm. "Are you alright?" "Yes! Of course! Nothing's wrong with me! Mayor Bourgeois, I believe we should commence with the ceremony." She told Mr. Bourgeois as she turned her head downward as she began to look nervous.
"You have passed, Adrien Agreste." "Thank you. I'm glad I was able to win despite the saw shield being somewhat useless." Adrien, whoms clothes and body appeared to now be unscathed, claimed as they were now both standing, unharmed. "True, you didn't utilize the shield much. But what matters is not the tools you use, but that you overcome your shadow by any means. And that is what you did: you never showed a fear for the shadow." Garo informed Adrien as smiled and nodded. "What can I say? Courage isn't the rejection of fear, but doing something despite fear getting in the way." "Then you can cut down the ordeals that lay ahead of you." Garo told Adrien. "Adrien, you can now use Gōten." Zaruba told him. "Thank you, Garo. I will use your armor well and, more importantly, wisely." Adrien told Garo before walking out of the area, and subsequently, out of the statue in the hideout with his duster back. "It's done, Pierre, I've completed my trail and earned the right to ride Gōten." "Très Bien. Now, I believe you have a ceremony to get to?" Pierre asked as Adrien nodded before he left the room. "Let's hope that 'trail' hasn't messed up your ability to move properly." Plagg said as he popped out of Adrien's duster. "It'll be alright. Plagg, claws out." He said as he transformed.
"It's only proper for Paris to pay homage to those who protect us from evil. Ladybug and Cat Noir!" Mr. Bourgeois announced as the statue of Ladybug jumping off of Cat Noir was revealed, getting a cheer from the crowd once more. As Ladybug waved at everyone with a smile, her arm was able to grab the yo-yo before throwing it at her balcony again. Unfortunately, Ladybug noticed this too late as she was pulled away from the ceremony, leaving everyone surprised as then looked dejected.
As Ladybug reached the locker room of Collège Françoise Dupont, Tikki suddenly shot out of the Miraculous as Marinette regained control. "Tikki, what did you do to me?!" Marinette demanded as Tikki shakes her head. "That was a failsafe. It allows a Kwami to take control of their holder. Though clearly, it only works if the holder's will isn't as strong or stronger than ours." "W-whhy would you do that?!" Marinette asked again, still freaking out! "Because I had to! You were ignoring your responsibilities and we need the people behind us, so they can trust us." Tikki explained as Marinette listened and began to calm down. "Oh. I'm sorry, Tikki. I'll try to do better in the future, but can you please help me with this?" She asked as Tikki nodded. "Ok. Just call Adrien's phone again. You should be able to hear it." Tikki tells Marinette before doing just that, hearing Adrien's phone ring from the other side of the room, past the blinds that divides the room. However, as she reached the right locker, she soon realized it was locked. "Of course it's locked." Marinette said as Tikki then phased into the locker, opening it from the inside. "You are full of surprises, you know that?" Marinette asked rhetorically as she unzipped Adrien's buffel bag and took out the phone.
Meanwhile, Adrien had transformed back half a mile away from the park as he saw people leaving the ceremony. "Crap, we missed the unveiling?!" "It would appear so." Zaruba said as Adrien ran to the park as the only one left was Théo, who was looking at the statue. "I see I'm too late to meet Ladybug, huh?" "Unfortunately, yes. But maybe it was for the best. She was acting… weird, but I'm sure if she took a little time to get to know me, she would see how much we have in common. Our devotion to the things we love." Théo claimed as Adrien began to look concerned. 'I've heard those words before. He's obsessed with Ladybug.' 'I wonder…' "Hey." Adrien called out calmly as he pulled out his Madō Lighter, getting Théo's attention. "Would you mind looking into this light for me?" "Uh… sure?" Théo said in confusion as Adrien lit the flame and carefully held it to his face, revealing nothing out of the ordinary. "Thank you. Anyway, I'm sure Ladybug's fine, you know that she and Cat Noir are too busy to have a normal life." "Really?" He asked as he nodded. "Unfortunately." Adrien said as Théo then walked away, being careful not to let him see his irritated face. "What does she see in him?"
Back with Marinette, she was inputting as many random passcodes she could into the phone, all of which being denied. "They're coming! Put back the phone!" "But I haven't erased the message yet!" "We're out of time and you should really take Alix's advice, come on!" Tikki warns her as she begins to panic even more before she slammed the locker door and tried to run for the door before hiding behind it just before it opened. "Whew! That was rough. Haha." One of the fencers said as they all went to the lockers, giving Marinette a chance to get out of there.
In a studio full of crafting supplies and concept drawings of Ladybug and Cat Noir, Théo was standing over a wooden desk with a long, black-haired woman with a black dress and black lipstick to match sitting on the left side. "'Too busy'? That's because Cat Noir's taking up her precious time. He doesn't deserve her… I do!" Théo claimed as he then shoved a stone model of Cat Noir's head on his right off before looking at the woman. "You were right, Amily, the kid is a Makai Knight. He's going to get in the way." He told Amily as she got off of the desk. "As I've warned. But now we must dispose of him, and I have just the thing." She stated as she pulled out a knife that resembled a feline's claw. "If he and Cat Noir are going to get in my way, then do it." Théo tells Amily before she smiled sinisterly as she then grabbed his shoulder and stabbed him in the chest with the blade, causing a black smoke to envelop Théo as he drops his picture. "Henceforth, you shall be the Horror; Rakshasa." Amily declared as an Akuma flew into the room. And as the smoke turned into letters, the Akuma absorbed itself into the picture of Ladybug. "Hello, Copycat. I am Hawkmoth. Once you get rid of Cat Noir, you can take his place. And I'll give you his powers to make sure Ladybug will be yours forever." "The thought of it makes me purr." Rakshasa said as his body was unveiled from the letters before being transformed again in a split second!
(Adrien's room)
Meanwhile, Adrien was resting in his bed as Eiji was emptying out his bag. "How did I wind up being a butler for this kid?" Eiji asked himself before pausing and remembering why. "Oh, right. The Ady Slate." He told himself before pulling out a stick of deodorant and realizing something was missing. "Hey, Plagg, have you seen Adrein's phone?" "No. And before you ask, I didn't eat it." Plagg informed Eiji, who then looked confused. "Why would I ask if you… nevermind." He told Plagg before picking up a house phone and calling Adrein's phone. After a minute, it went to voicemail. "That's not a good sign." He told himself before he walked over to Adrien and shook him awake.
(The Louvre)
At the museum, Copycat, with white stripes all over, long scythe-like claws on his left hand and right foot, and spiked pauldrons, strolled down a hall, with a stick in his mouth, as people were beginning to stare at him while some were taking pictures or videos of him, thinking he's Cat Noir with a new design. As he approached the Mona Lisa, he jerked his right arm a bit, causing a blade with saw-teeth to spring out before he sliced the rope 'keeping people from getting too close. "Don't mind me, just stealing this painting. Go about your business." Copycat told everyone with Adrien's voice As he just grabbed the Mona Lisa, causing the alarms to sound and a security guard nearby to taze his back. Unfortunately, this only surprises Copycat before drops the painting, grabs the guy with his right arm before impaling him with his left, terrifying everyone as the guard's body turned to ashes and was then inhaled by Copycat!
'Adrien, a new Horror has appeared.' Zaruba told Cat Noir, whom was now sporting bulky wrist gauntlets, the left one with his staff attached, cat claw-shaped spikes on the knees of his legs, a breastplate with jade claws forming multiple X's, a helmet that covered his face with a mask over his mouth and a green visor over his eyes with his hair forming dreadlocks, and had a few stripes of gold on the new parts, as he was walking past the statue. Just then, a chime went off on his left gauntlet, queuing him to tap it as a part of his embedded staff popped out, showing him a news report by Nadja Chamack. "And in some shocking news, there's been a devastating theft and murder at the Louvre. This amateur video will show, whom we can only speculate for now as, the famous hero, Cat Noir in an upgraded suit taking the Mona Lisa and disintegrating a living security guard. Viewer's discretion is advised." Nadja states as the footage played, showing the events up to now! "This painting is the cat's meow." Copycat said as he ran to the, now gated, exit before cutting the bars and leaving! "Cat's meow? And with how he decimated that guard, I think it's safe to say he's an Akumatized Horror trying to be Cat Noir!" Cat Noir claimed before he headed for the Lourve!
Back with Marinette, she was at her desk, wearing safety goggles and oven mitts as she tried to open Adrien' phone… like a lunatic. "Of course Adrien would own one of those super-expensive high-tech smartphones. I can't even figure out how to work this thing." "That's because you suddenly choose to wear paint fumes for perfume! Just take off the mittens and try making some real progress." Tikki told Marinette, who shook her head. "And risk leaving fingerprints? No way." She told Tikki before her phone went off, prompting her to grab the phone with both hands and answer the call with her nose, showing her Alya on the other line. "Hey, girl. Alix wanted me to check up on you. So, is the problem fixed by doing nothing?" "Almost. I haven't erased the message yet, but I'm working on it as we speak." Marinette told Alya as her expression went from calm to shocked. "You stole his phone?!" "Yes? No? Uhh… I mean-" "She's gonna tear you limb-from-limb, Marinette! What were you thinking?!" Alya shouted, causing Marinette to nearly drop her phone before she caught it. "I was planning to give it back. Actually, where are you? I can use some help." "I'm not getting involved in this! I like where my organs are, thank you. And even if I wanted to help, I can't. I'm waiting for additional deets at the Louvre on the Cat Noir robbery." Alya stated as Marinette then looked confused. "Somebody was stupid enough to try and rob Cat Noir?" "I wish. He came in and just took the Mona Lisa while unveiling a new upgrade, even killed someone in the process!" She informed Marinette. "Listen, just give the phone to the lost and found at school. I gotta go. See you tomorrow!" Alya said with the sound of officers mobilizing in the background before they hung up. "Cat Noir's a lot of things, but he's no thief." Marinette claimed before she took off her mittens and goggles. "Tikki, spots on!" She said, transforming into Ladybug!
Back at the Louvre, Cat Noir had arrived as he was showing Officer Roger something on his staff while being surrounded by police. "As you can see, officer, I was heading towards the statue in the park when the robbery happened." He told Roger as he showed him a map of where he was and how long he was there for, causing him to look conflicted. "I won't lie. I'm a firm believer that everyone's innocent until proven guilty, but with that footage and your tendencies to alter your appearance from time-to-time, It's hard not to believe you are guilty. And now with this alibi… I-I just don't know what to think!" Roger stated before he sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Sir, in the video, I saw this Copycat put something down on one of the benches. If we can get it to a lab to be tested for a match, we may be able to find the real perp." Cat Noir told him, getting Roger to motion for the police to stand down. "Come with me. Just don't touch anything." He told Cat Noir as they went inside of the museum.
"Hey, sir, I've been meaning to ask. How were the people in jail during the Pharaoh incident?" "Well, we weren't thrilled about the sudden influx of prisoners, but after a while, they turned back to normal. Now I have a question for you. Are you any closer to catching Hawkmoth?" Roger asked as they approached the sliced bars. "Not as close as I'd like. But we will have someone who can track anything. It's only a matter of time before we crush him." Cat Noir claimed before Roger stopped. "And if that's the case, then for how much longer?" He asked as Cat Noir turned around, seeing Roger beginning to look irritated. "After the body count from the previous attacks, I'm starting to wonder if you two even know what you're doing!" He told Cat Noir as he sighed before attempting to take off his helm, only to find it stuck. "Hm, strange. Whatever." Cat Noir muttered before clearing his throat. "You didn't lie to me, so I won't lie to you. Before I came here, I had seen death, unusual illnesses, and terrors that would, should, keep you up at night. And someone dies to it more often than not. But that's no excuse to give up, it's a sign that we must do better to stop them or the many are gone." Cat Noir told Roger before slowly turning back around. "The long war may never be easy to fight, but if you're fighting for peace, then push on." He finished before he continued to walk past the bars, leaving Roger surprised. After a little searching, Cat Noir was able to find the spot where Copycat dropped the object before seeing that it was a green-striped lollipop stick. "You've gotta be kidding me." He told himself as Roger walked up to him. "It's a chance. That's all that matters. Come on." He told Cat Noir before pulling out a ziplock bag and having the latter place the stick inside.
Afterwards, they walked out of the Louvre when they spotted Ladybug speaking with the Mayor. "Mr. Mayor, this is ridiculous. I'm sure there's a simple explanation." "Well, we're about to find out soon enough." Roger claimed as he held up the ziplock bag. "A lollipop stick?" "That was in the mouth of my Copycat. After a DNA test, we'll have our guy." Cat Noir informed Ladybug as he removed his staff from his left gauntlet before he opened a part of it while she looked at him in shock. "What did you do to yourself? You look completely different." "A needed upgrade to help guarantee success. Hopefully it'll be the last one for a while." Cat Noir explained before his staff rang. "Hello, Bunnix. I'm not sure if you heard the news or not, but I need you to use your powers as intended to get us info on a DNA sample we'll give to the lab. I'll owe you one." He said into the staff, showing that it also acts as a phone as Roger then walked up to them. "Okay, I got good and bad news. The boys back at the lab are willing to test the stick, but it'll take about a day." "We have to stop this guy now before he destroys Cat Noir's reputation beyond repair." Ladybug stated as Cat Noir puts his staff away. "That's not going to be a problem, because I'm having our friend get the results ready for when we get there." He told them as Roger and Ladybug both looked at him in confusion. "Right. You know how there is a Miraculous for creation and destruction? Well, they say there's one for every concept of the universe. The one my friend has involves time." "And her name is "Bunnix"?" Ladybug asked as Cat Noir nodded. "Eitherway, let's get going. I'll give you two an escort." Roger told them before walking to his car.
Meanwhile back at Theo's studio, Copycat was pacing around impatiently as Amily laid on his desk. "Where is he? He should've been here by now!" He claimed as his voice returned to what it was originally. "Do you really think he would just run headfirst into a trap? He's smarter than that." She told Copycat. Unfortunately, this gets Copycat angry as he leaped at Amily with his blades out, only for her to instantly righted herself and grabbed him by the neck before slamming him into the floor! "If you want to live long enough to kill Cat Noir, I suggest you never. do that. again." Amily warns Copycat as she sprouts four insect limbs with bladed ends, turning his frustration into fear. Shortly after, she gets off of him as Copycat gets back up and begins sprouting spikes from his tail and the back of the heels!
15 minutes after a drive from the Louvre, Ladybug, Cat Noir. And Roger entered a lab as they saw a black woman in a lab coat with a flower in her hair. "Hello, miss du Bocquale. We brought the sample I told you about." "Oh, Officer Roger. I actually have something for you and the duo. She said she was a friend of Cat Noir's." Mrs. Du Bocquale informed Roger as he faced him and showed him a letter that reads: 'Dear, Roger, the DNA from that stick you have will show you that it belongs to a Théo Barbot by 69% with 1% butterfly DNA. However, something showed 30% alongside it, and none of the scientists know what it is.'. "30% Other? What does that mean?" Ladybug asked as Cat Noir focused on the name. "I've heard of him. He's the promising artist who made the statue in the park." "Now that we know who it really is, we just need to apprehend him." Roger claimed as Ladybug thought of something with a smirk. "And I have a plan."
A while later, Cat Noir was on a rooftop with a view of a building called "L'atelier". "The workshop"? Wow, how original." He said sarcastically before he leaped onto the roof of the building to get a look inside. Once he got onto the roof, he peeked inside and saw nothing but art supplies and concept art of Ladybug and Cat Noir. "Do you sense anything, Zaruba?" "Yes, and it's the only one inside. But more importantly, just remember the plan." Zaruba told him as he looked around and spotted an entrance through the skylight.
After entering, he saw a box with a Maneki-neko, holding a folded letter in place, in the middle as he detached his staff and called Ladybug. "Cat Noir, where are you?!" "I found his den. It's a studio called The workshop." Cat Noir told Ladybug, who seemingly looked confused. "Who?!" My Copycat: Théo Barbot." "Well? Tell me where that is?" Ladybug demanded as Cat a noir walked over to the box. "No, this is between me and him. I created this monster, so I'm gonna take him out." He told her before hanging up and picking up the letter. He then opened the letter and read it, causing him to realize it was a trap as chains suddenly bursted from the box and clamped onto Cat Noir's gauntlets, only grabbing him halfway! "Cataclysm!" He said as he attempted to destroy the chains, only for Copycat to rush him from behind with a wooden board and force him to designate that instead! "I don't get what Ladybug sees in you. A fool who so easily falls into my trap." Copycat said tauntingly before Cat Noir brought his left hand to the right clamp and clinched it tight, causing three long blades to shoot out and break it! "WHAT?!" Copycat said just before Cat Noir pulled the chain out all the way to try and slam him with it, only to miss as Copycat backflips away! "My upgrades are not for show. And the only fool here is you." He stated before he reached for his staff, but stops when he discovers that Copycat has it. "Looking for this? Which would I pick up, my old one or my new one?" "You'll get your phone call when you're in the slammer." Someone said as the sound of a shotgun cocking could be heard behind Copycat, making him turn around and see Roger with six other officers, each of them holding a rifle. "I bet bugaboo didn't expect you to make a trap of your own, but the rest of the plan was, ahem… Spots on." Cat Noir said as he pryed the other clamp off before clinching his right hand, shooting out three more blades. But just as Copycat turned back around, his upper body was tied up by Ladybug's yo-yo!

As he looked to where the yo-yo came from, he saw Ladybug upon the upper floor. "How did you get here so quickly?!" "Because if there's anything I know about Cat Noir, is that he would've come here on his own eventually. So I made a workaround to make it into a trap."
(Flashback)
"And I have a plan." Ladybug claimed as she turned to Roger and Cat Noir. "And that is?" "We're going to use what we know about Théo against him, if you're willing to listen." She asked Roger as he nodded. "Since we know who it is, we should know where he works. While Cat Noir acts as bait, we'll follow with a contingency of officers. And when he shows himself at his studio, we'll sneak up on him while he's focused on the original kitty cat." "Okay, but why me exactly?" Cat Noir asked out of curiosity. "Because he seems to want to drag your name through the mud." She explained as he gave her a thumbs up.
(Present time)
"I'll admit, I didn't expect you to trap him, but it worked out in the end." Ladybug finished with a cocky tone as Copycat got angry. "How could you?! I'm better than that alley cat in every way!" "You murdered an innocent man and stole the Mona Lisa!" She tells Copycat as Cat Noir walks up to him with a lit lighter before holding it up to his eyes, causing them to turn light green with black symbols floating around the irises and towards the pupils. "You. You're that KID from earlier today!" Copycat shouted in rage as he tried to kick Cat Noir with his right foot, only to be grabbed by his left hand and stabbed by his right claws, causing back mist to briefly spray from the wounds! Suddenly, Copycat's body began sprouting hundreds of blades, like a pufferfish but far less swollen, that extended out in all directions and snapped the string, forcing everyone to evade to try and not get skewered! Unfortunately as the building was being torn apart, one of the officers wasn't so lucky as he was impaled before the spikes retracted, allowing Cat Noir to rush Copycat as he tried to punch him, only to be blocked by his left gauntlet and struck in the side by the right one! Cat Noir then slammed his knee into the wound and rolled over Copycat's back as he buckled before he was kicked in the face by Ladybug! Before he could get back up, Ladybug was able to grab her yo-yo and fix it by reattaching the base to the string just as Copycat then struck her side, leaving himself open for Cat Noir to grab the blade with his and snap it off! "Open fire!" Roger shouted as he and the remaining officers shot at Copycat just before his left hand began glowing purple! However, just as they braced themselves, Cat Noir grabbed his sword and sliced off Copycat's arm, causing the launched energy wave to miss and destroy the wall behind them! He then spin-kicked him in the face, sending Copycat meters away and onto the ground!
"Let's wrap this up. Lucky Charm!" Ladybug shouted as she threw her yo-yo into the air, creating a red with black-spotted spoon as it then fell and landed in her hand. "A spoon? What am I supposed to do with this?" She asked as Copycat suddenly started cackling like a madman while covering his face with his remaining hand. "I will take that spoon… AND EAT YOU ALIVE WITH IT!" He yelled out with a deep and booming voice as his face started to resemble a tiger's and his severed arm regrows, becoming more feline-like in general! "What the hell?!" "Get the officers out of here, now!" Cat Noir ordered Ladybug, whom was frozen with fear as Copycat's body burnt away while expanding and growing more animalistic, until he resembled an giant anthropomorphic bengal tiger that was three times their size, wearing Indian armor and wielding a jagged sword with no guard! "Zaruba! Info!" Cat Noir shouted as he loosened his grip to let his claws retract, getting Ladybug to look at him in confusion. "Cat?" "Its name is Rakshasa. A ravenous Horror that will stop at nothing to hunt down its prey." Zaruba informed Cat Noir just before Rakshasa roared in premature triumph! "EVERYBODY OUT NOW!" Cat Noir screamed as Rakshasa slammed a fist onto the floor, causing the damaged building to continue collapsing! "Run. If you want to prolong your lives." He declared tauntingly as everyone did just that as the warehouse came down around Rakshasa.
Meanwhile, from a rooftop miles away from the L'atelier, Amily watched as the building collapsed fully. "So, he's finally using everything he has. Looking forward to seeing how the Makai Order covers this up." She said to herself as she then heard parts of the buildings near ground zero being destroyed.
Back to the fight, Ladybug was slammed into the pavement by Rakshasa's open hand while he used his sword to push Cat Noir, who was forced to block the attack with his claws, back inches away from a car about half a mile away. Seconds later, Ladybug was thrown into him, causing him to crash fully into the car as it skidded a few feet away! "This isn't working anymore." Cat Noir groaned as he pried himself off the car while Ladybug fell onto the ground before slowly getting back up, holding her side afterwards. "I… I just need time to figure out how to use my Lucky Charm, and then I can-" "No. I have one last thing that can stop him, but I need you and the surviving officers to clear the way." He informs Ladybug as she looks at him in surprise. "Then let me help! If it'll help-" "just go!" Cat Noir shouted as she reluctantly did what he said and went to secure Roger.

As Cat Noir loosened his grip slightly and redrew his sword, he drew a circle in the air and summoned his armor.

"Y-you're Garo? The Golden Knight?!" Rakshasa asked in shock as he recognized Garo, whom was now dragging the blade of his longsword across Zaruba's teeth.
(For what reason do you fight? Just ask your sword! Things like justice and love will always elude me.)
As Garo walked towards Rakshasa, he roared in fury and charged at him with his sword brandished!
(Born in the darkness, hiding in the darkness, cutting the darkness apart! Because, this mission has been passed down since ancient times!)
As Rakshasa swung his sword, Garo countered and broke the blade with two strikes before kicking the remaining sword into Rakshasa's face, knocking him onto his back! He then drew a symbol, consisting of an 'I' with a curved top and bottom and a horizontal line going through the center before steadily drawing a circle surrounding everything except for the six points as Rakshasa got back up and tried to pounce on Garo, only for him the slashed the symbol, causing a blinding flash of light that forces Rakshasa back again!

"GŌTEN!" Garo yelled out as the light faded and he was now sporting two narrow and long pieces of cloth on his back while mounting a gold-plated horse with a red mane! Gōten then charged forward as Garo brandished his sword while Rakshasa did the same, going in for a strike by swinging his left arm at him with claws out, only for Garo to slice off the limb and Gōten to jump over him as he tried again with his remaining arm! But Rakshasa missed and Gōten used the extended hand to perch itself before kicking him in the face, knocking him down again!

"This guy's still tough." Zaruba claimed as they landed a few meters away! "Agreed!" Garo said as Rakshasa got back up. Gōten then reared up and slammed its front legs down, creating a shockwave that pushed almost everyone around back! Afterwards, Garo's sword glowed and grew in size and turned into a double-edged Greatsword with a round tip, leaving Rakshasa in shock as Gōten ran to him as Garo swung at him the second they got close, splitting Rakshasa in two and destroying both parts!

As they skidded to a stop, Gōten neighed in triumph before it disappeared, letting Garo drop onto the ground before the armor then disappeared too, returning him to Cat Noir.
"You… you killed him! Have you gone crazy?!" Ladybug asked in outrage as she and Roger walked over with three of the remaining officers. "If you knew what I did of him, then you'd understand that sparing Theo was never going to be an option." Cat Noir stated. "That's not your decision to make!" "Unfortunately, it is! You two are in a war you didn't even know you were involved in." He tells Roger, confusing him. Before he could press the issue, Ladybug and Cat Noir's jewels started blinking rapidly. "Gah! Okay, we'll deal with this later! I still have to fix everything and get out of here!" Ladybug stated before throwing her spoon into the air! "Miraculous ladybug!" She shouted as the spoon dispersed into thousands of ladybugs, repairing and placing everything back to where it was before! "We'll meet again at the park tonight, there you'll get your answers. I promise." Cat Noir tells everyone before he took off, leaving the others to reluctantly do the same.
About an hour later, Marinette was back in her room with Alya present. "If you wish to hear your message again, press 1. If you wish to erase your message, press 2." Adrien's phone said before Marinette looked at Alya, who gave her a nod, before pressing '2'. "You know what? I'm gonna tell him I found his phone. That'd be a good way to start up a conversation, wouldn't it? And I'll invite him to the movies." "If you're sure." Alya stated, feeling unsure about the whole thing.
(The Place des Vosges, 10:00 PM)
Later that evening, Ladybug and Officer Roger arrived at the park, the former swung in as the latter parked nearby, as they saw Rei, Eiji, Adrien, Edred, Pierre, Sakura, and Sarah near the fountain, facing away from them. "Okay, we're here. Spill it, why did you kill Théo?" Ladybug demanded, getting Rei, Eiji, and Adrien to raise their swords in the air and summon their respective armors. "So you really did tell them. And here, I hoped that you were joking." Zero claimed as he turned to see Ladybug and Roger. "Tell us, why do you think the human race has always feared the dark?" He asked them rhetorically. "What? How should I know?" "It's a predator that lurks within the shadows that they truly fear. And their name is what they instill." He tells them as Pierre turns to them. "And as such, we had to become what they feared. Thus, our ancestors formed the Makai Order, a shadow organization that hunts Horrors and ensures that the people can sleep soundly at night. I am Watchdog Pierre, I'm in charge of choosing which Makai Knight and/or Makai Priest hunts down a specific Horror. And-" Pierre stopped explaining as everyone heard Giru scraping the fountain with his sword. "The tracker is in Paris, and he will be here shortly." He informed everyone. "A tracker?" "Last week, we tried to take down Hawkmoth by tracking his Akumas. Unfortunately, he was tipped off by an old enemy. Now he's constantly on the move, disappearing before we can catch him." Garo states to Ladybug as they then hear something approaching them. Ladybug then pulled out her yo-yo, thinking it's another enemy, when her arm was grabbed by Mr. Kubdel, who just showed up. "Please, Ladybug, let's not try to make an enemy out of our best chance at ending this. Apologies for being late, Watchdog Pierre." He said as he released her hand and walked towards the group just as a red, metallic Thylacoleo came running up to them with three people, one most notably wearing red armor with tusks, before stopping in front of them. "Ladybug, Officer Roger, say hello to a family of the greatest hunters." Pierre announces as the metal beast disappears and the three approached them, revealing to be a gray man with Russian features wearing a coat made of hide with a fur collar, a helmet with warthog tusks on the bottom, and jeans with metal knees, an African woman wearing a long red dress that crossed shoulders. "I'd like you all to meet the Prevalecer Clan, and the Blazing Sword Knight: Zen." Pierre announced as Zen approached them before stabbing his sword into the ground and kneeling. "It is an honor to work under you, Garo: Golden Knight." He said with a Latin accent. "Is he ok? His skin looks…" "Apparently, the Prevalecer Clan had traveled the entire world in the past, breeding with the best of each culture they met, even learning their techniques. As such, grey skin." "Then what happens now? Or rather, what will they do until Hawkmoth is behind bars?" Roger asked Garo as they then saw Zen disengage his armor, revealing who he is.
(The next day, Feançoise Dupont)
"My family are currently on a business trip with the Agrestes. We'll be in Par EE for the foreseeable future." A boy with shoulder-length, dirty blonde hair, wearing a blood red t-shirt under a blue jeanjacket, informed the class. "Thank you for sharing with the class, Zack. Now if you may take your seat next to Ivan, we can begin class." Mrs. Bustier told Zack as he then walked over to Ivan, who scutched over to let him sit next to him. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ivan." Zack said as he held out his hand, allowing Ivan to shake it. Just then, Adrien walked into the class. "Sorry I'm late, I had to find the lost and found to look for my phone." He stated as Bustier nodded, understanding as he walked to his seat next to Nino. "Do it now." Alya whispered to Marinette before she then took the phone and tried to sneak it into Adrien's bag, only for him to suddenly grab her arm and slam her onto the desk, getting her to scream in fear as Adrien was about to punch her! "What the…" He muttered as everyone looked in shock! "What were you doing with my bag?!" Adrien asked as he backed away after grabbing his bag. "W-well, you see, I, uh… I was-uh…" Marinette stuttered as Adrien then reached into his bag to inspect his stuff and pulled out his phone, surprising him. "You had my phone?" He asked as Alix looked at Marinette with shock. "I, uh… I was returning it?" "A day after you found it?" Adrien asked, already suspicious of her. "I, uh-" "DO NOT LIE TO ME AGAIN!" "Adrien, that is enough!" "Not until she tells the truth!" He tells Ms. Bustier, surprising her as he talked back. "I. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen." Marinette claimed as almost everyone in the class gasped. "After you promised me you wouldn't do anything drastic?" Alix asked in disbelief as everyone, but Mrs. Bustier began getting outraged, making Marinette feel ashamed. Before anything could happen, everyone then stopped talking after hearing a loud whistling, getting them to see Mrs. Bustier upset! "That's enough! Marinette, I'm sorry but, go to the Principal's office! Everyone else, return to your seat." She tells everyone sternly, getting everyone to do just that as Marinette's left the room after grabbing her bag.
(12 hours later, Agreste Manor)
In his home office, Gabriel, Nathalie, and Barago were standing in the middle of the room as Amily stood in front of them with Jinga next to her. "It is intriguing to meet you, wearer of the Butterfly Miraculous." "Please, call me Hawkmoth." Gabriel tells Amily. "Mr. Agreste, I fail to see how one more… of them is going to help." Nathalie states as Amily then grinned. "Then you've failed to realize the Miraculous of Transmission is one of, if not, the only one that can affect a Horror. As such, I offer you something that puts your cute bugs to shame." She tells her as she sprouted a blue butterfly from her fingertips. "You're Akuma's failed because of their lack of martial prowess. But with my pretties, your minions will be more capable than ever before!" Amily explained as she gave them a sinister smile.
