Chapter nine: Stressful issues

It was getting to be too much for Alison. She could distract herself with Lily, but eventually it had to happen. In the middle of playing, Alison had a nervous breakdown. Rita and Lily immediately ran to Alison.

"Everything is falling apart." Alison cried.

"It's fine. Everything will be fine." said Rita.

"How? I'm going to be a mother when I'm fifteen. My parents are getting divorced. I just can't take it anymore."

"Not Cry." said Lily.

Rita hugged Alison. At that moment Lori and Lucy came into the garden.

"What's going on here?" asked Lori.

"Alison is not well." said Rita.

"Why is she not well?" asked Lucy.

"Everything is falling apart." sobbed Alison.

"You should go see Patrick. You haven't been with him in a few days." said Rita.

"I still have to talk to him anyway. I'll go to him." said Alison.

Alison wiped away her tears and stood up.

"I'm leaving. Bye everyone."

"Okay take care." said Rita.

Alison left the garden. Lily looked down at the ground sadly.

"Don't be sad. She'll be back for sure." said Rita to Lily.

Lily hugged Rita's leg. Rita rubbed Lily's back.

"It would be nice if you missed me like that. I get jealous." said Rita.

Patrick has been restless since Alison told him she was pregnant. Since then, he's wanted to be prepared. He had, since that day, wrapped a cabbage in a bath towel and treated it like a real baby. His sister Amira called it the "Salad Baby." He had also set an alarm for every two hours so he could get used to the baby. As he was about to lie down to rest, he heard Amira arguing with Alison. Nothing new, they always do that.

"Ah look who's there! Do you want to get even more pregnant?" screamed Amira.

"Do you think this will work? Failed anatomy?" screamed Alison.

"No, I just wanted to know if you haven't completely drifted out of reality because you can't even use birth control properly!"

"Say the right one! You wouldn't even know if you were pregnant with twins!"

"Was a nice conversation!" screamed Amira. "Thank you!" yelled Alison back.

Patrick heard Alison walking up the stairs. Then she stood in his room.

"Hi Al." said Patrick.

"Hi. Why are you holding a cabbage in a bath towel?" Alison asked.

"I wanted to be prepared when the baby came."

Alison sat down next to Patrick on the bed and hugged him.

"You are such a dear." Alison said, kissing Patrick on the cheek.

"Your sister knows I'm pregnant. So your parents know too?" Alison asked.

"Yes. But you know my parents. They will land in Paris Charles de Gaulle in an hour." said Patrick.

"My parents aren't around much either. My mother self-checked as a psychiatrist and my father works in the bar. At least your parents have a decent job."

"Believe me, it's not so funny when your parents are pilots either. I'm alone all the time. Only my sister who annoys me is here!" screamed Patrick.

"Fuck you Patrick!" screamed Amira.

"Amira? Oh no, she's an angel." said Alison sarcastically.

Patrick yawned.

"Are you tired?" Alison asked.

"Yes. I set an alarm for every two hours. Because of the baby."

"Aww. You're so sweet." Alison said, kissing Patrick on the lips.

"Sometimes you're just too nice for me." said Patrick.

"No. I'll give you what you deserve."

"Even though I did this to you?" Patrick said, pointing to Alison's stomach.

Alison took Patrick's hand, exposing her stomach, and put his hand on her stomach.

"I don't know the words to tell you." said Alison.

"But I still understand." said Patrick.

The two hugged tightly.

The two break the hug.

"It annoys me that you got pregnant the first time." said Patrick.

"Yes."

Alison looked at Patrick Patrick out of the corner of her eye.

"But now I can't get any more pregnant." said Alison.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Well, the first time didn't go so well. But the second time we will have learned from our mistake."

"You mean here and now?"

"Yes."

Patrick considered.

"But my sister is downstairs."

"Don't worry about Amira. She won't bother us."

"Okay. Let's do it." said Patrick.

"All right. Now we're going to have fun." Alison said, kissing Patrick on the lips.

Lily was kind of sad since Alison walked out. She didn't feel like playing that much. Rita also noticed Lily's rather sad mood.

"Are you okay Lily? Do you want to play something?"

"No."

"Would you like some ice cream?"

"No."

"Lily Loud doesn't want ice cream? What's the matter with you?"

"Alison."

"Lily, Alison has other people to deal with. And you know, Alison has this one thing to take care of."

"Aww." said Lily disappointed.

"Cheer up Lily. She'll be back soon." said Rita.

Rita looked at her watch.

"Oh, how come I'm hungry again. Lola! Lana!"

The twins came down.

"Yeah mom?" the two asked at the same time.

"Are you hungry?" asked Rita.

The twins focused on their stomachs.

"Yes, somehow." said Lana.

"Well, me too. Do you want to go to McDonald's with me and Lily?"

The twins jumped up and down in euphoria.

"Yes Yes Yes!"

"Okay, get ready then." said Rita.

Lincoln came running.

"Did I hear McDonald's? May I come with you?" asked Lincoln.

"Yes, of course." said Rita.

Lily sighed softly.

"Oh come on. Be happy." said Rita.

Lily smiled slightly.

The group left the house. When the five sat down at the McDonald's table with their food, everything seemed fine. Rita had a Big Mac, Lincoln a cheeseburger, Lola, Lana and Lily a Happy Meal. Everything was fine until Lola looked at Lana.

"Hey! This Happy Meal came first! And I ordered first!" said Lola.

"Now I have it? We also both have the same thing." said Lana.

"That's the way it goes?" Lola said, raising her fist.

"Do you want a punch in the mouth?" Lola asked aggressively.

Lana raised her fist too, and the twins grabbed each other's collars. The two looked at each other like cats that would attack each other at any moment. Rita immediately went between the two twins.

"Enough now. You both have the same food. Is that so difficult?" said Rita.

The twins sighed in unison.

"No." said Lola and Lana.

Alison and Patrick are finally exhausted. The two lied in bed with the covers over them. Since Alison didn't have her glasses on, and therefore couldn't see Patrick properly, she just snuggled up to him.

"I can't move anymore." said Patrick.

"Me too. That... Was even better than the first time." said Alison.

"I didn't know you could be like that."

"Did you like it?"

"Yeah."

"You're definitely a good listener. You're just too good for me."

"I think you're too good for me."

"You are just perfect. I love you."

"I love you too."

The two kissed on the lips.

"I was going to go to sleep an hour ago. My goodness I'm tired." said Patrick.

"But you enjoyed it." said Alison.

Alison took Patrick's hand. Patrick put his other hand on Alison's stomach.

"I love you both." said Patrick.

"I love you too." said Alison.

The two cuddled and rested.

Meanwhile, Rita, Lincoln, the twins and Lily leave McDonald's. Everyone felt stuffed.

"Great. I must have eaten too many calories now. We're walking through the park. I want to look good, not fat." said Lola.

"Even if you're fat you can look good. Besides, it was McDonald's food. You'll be hungry again in an hour." said Rita.

"Exactly. I only feel full for an hour, and I could eat a lot after that." said Lincoln.

"I don't care. I'm going to walk through the park with you guys now to stay beautiful." said Lola energetically.

The group marched through the park. And it was exhausting.

"Gosh. I hope Alison isn't as exhausted as we are." said Rita.

"I can hardly take it anymore. Where is Alison anyway." asked Lincoln.

"She's with her boyfriend. Fix things, she said." said Rita.

"I hope she is successful." said Lincoln.

"Faster! The calories have to go." said Lola.

As they continued walking through the park, they met the McBrides. The two were traveling with Clyde. The Louds stayed with them, which Lola didn't like very much.

"Hello Mrs. Loud." said Kevin McBride.

"Hello Mr McBrides. And hi Clyde." said Rita.

"Hello Mrs. Loud. Hi Lincoln." said Clyde.

Lincoln gave a small but dignified salute.

"What are you doing here?" asked Kevin McBride.

"Run. Because we went to a McDonald's and Lola doesn't want to get fat." said Rita.

"Oh. McDonald's? We always cook for ourselves. It's healthier and tastier." said Harold McBride.

"I agree. Such food is much better." said Rita.

"Oh, that reminds me. Don't be surprised by the snipers playing soccer in the park." said Harold McBride.

"Snipers?" asked Rita.

"Yes. Didn't you see the TV report? There are snipers stationed at the nuclear power plant. According to the sergeant in charge, one of the snipers is said to be so good he could hit a baby's tooth gap from a kilometer away." Said Harold McBride.

"It's brutal and impressive." said Lincoln.

Lily immediately hugged Rita's legs, making a noise that sounded extremely scared. Rita picked Lily up and hugged her.

"Don't worry. This man won't shoot you." said Rita.

Lincoln put his hand on Lily's back.

"That's right. Nobody wants to harm a baby." said Lincoln.

"I wonder who punches a hole in a nuclear power plant fence and climbs the cooling tower. That must have been a lunatic." said Kevin McBride.

"I agree. That must have been a crazy one." said Rita.

"We have to move on. Have a nice day." said Harold McBride.

"Thank you. Bye and have a nice day." said Rita.

As the Louds continue, and are almost at the end of the park, Lily sees the playground. Lily immediately tugged on Rita's legs.

"Playground." said Lily.

"You want to go to the playground?" asked Rita. Lily nodded.

"All right. But only ten minutes." said Rita.

Meanwhile, Alison and Patrick slept peacefully side by side. Everything was perfect. Until a heavy knock on the door woke them up.

"Get up and put your pants on! There's food!" screamed Amira through the door.

"Oh God." said Patrick.

"I don't care. Do you want to stay in bed?" Alison asked.

"Here with you? Definitely."

The two started cuddling again. After a few seconds, there was an even harder knock on the door.

"Come on now! If you two keep up the good work, you won't have one child, you'll have a whole soccer team!" screamed Amira.

"Yeah, the soccer team you'll never have!" screamed Patrick.

"Fuck you!" screamed Amira.

"I've already done that!" screamed Alison.

The two got up and got dressed.

"I need a shower." said Patrick.

"All right. I'm going to argue with Amira." said Alison, and went into the kitchen.

Amira was a 21-year-old woman with long, light blonde hair that reached down to her back. The two yelled at each other again.

"Another cuckoo child now? I hope you take care of it!" screamed Amira.

"At least I have a boyfriend!"

"At least I'm not pregnant by fourteen!"

"At least I'll have a child!"

Amira blew a fuse. Alison has gone too far. Amira grabbed Alison by her arms and yelled at her. Alison stared with shock.

"You god damn stupid bitch! I should... I should... I..."

Amira said nothing. The two looked into each other's eyes. Amira's eyes started to tear and she let go of Alison. The next moment, Amira hugged Alison.

"I'm such a bitch. I'm such a bitch."

The two continued to hug.

"I never said how much I love you. How glad I am that Patrick has you. He could have taken so many sluts. And he takes you."

Amira sobbed.

"And I was so shocked when Patrick said what's going on. What's going on with you."

Amira took a few deep breaths. She got dizzy.

"And what did I do? I treated you like dirt. I'm such a bitch."

Alison started stroking Amira's back.

"I love you too, Amira." said Alison.

When The Twins and Lily were at the playground, Lincoln and Rita were able to rest.

"Fortunately. Rest at last." said Rita.

"Yes. May I ask you a question?"

"Yes, of couse."

"Why is Alison with us? And why are you taking care of her?"

"She's going through a tough time. Her parents are getting divorced. And she has another issue that affects her."

"What's the problem?"

"It's Alison's private business."

"I understand."

Rita looked at her phone.

"Lola! Lana! Lily! Time to go home." said Rita.

"Whenever it's most fun." said Lola in frustration. Lily and Lana accepted it. They left the park.
