Chapter Twenty one: Heart and Stomach Pain

Lincoln couldn't be alone anymore. He spent the whole thing with Leni. Right now. He was in her room with Leni. Lori was sitting on her bed, preoccupied with herself. Lincoln was held by Leni. He cried again. Again and again.

"Leni... I w-want Amira b-back."

"I know Lincoln."

"Why did you have to break up with me?"

"Because she is way older."

"Are you sure Leni? Is this the reason?"

"Sure." Leni said and petted Lincoln's head.

"No you don't Leni!" Lori said.

"I do Lori!"

"You don't!" Lori yelled.

"Don't yell at me!"

"I talk to you you how I want! Besides you don't know what kind of person Amira is!"

Lincoln went between Lori and Leni.

"Don't fight." Lincoln said tearfully.

Lori and Leni stopped arguing.

"I'm sorry."

"Me too." Lori said.

Leni turned to Lincoln and continued.

"I'll help you get over Amira."

"Are you sure that this is a good idea?" Lori asked.

"Yes. I'm not stupid."

Lori rolled her eyes and walked back to her bed.

"When do you help me?" Lincoln asked.

"We can do that right now."

"And how?"

"First, you have to forget Amira. Then we will find a new girlfriend."

"Thanks Leni." Lincoln said really thankfully, and hugged Leni.

Lori got up and went to the door.

"I'll call Bobby. I'll be outside if you're looking for me."

Lori went down the stairs and left the house. There she saw a figure crawling around in front of the garage. It was Amira. She was dead drunk.

"Hey. Are you alright?"

"yez." Amira said.

"What?"

"yez."

Amira crawled to Lori.

"Giv me mor Vodcka."

"Eww. No."

Lori shoved Amira away.

"Just look at you. You look worse then the hobos in the railway station."

"E mot Hobo." Amira said. "Should I get help for you?" Amira lost consciousness at that moment. "Oh shit she passed out." Lori took her phone out of her pocket and dialed 911.

"911 what's your emergency?"

"Hello this is Lori Loud. I'm at the 1216 Franklin Avenue, Royal Woods. Someone has an alcohol poisoning and passed out."

"I send to an ambulance. Please stay with the person and put it in the stable lateral position. If the person throws up, you need to keep the mouth free of it."

"Thanks."

Lori hung up and put Amira in the stable lateral position. Rita noticed this and came out of the house.

"What's going on here?" Rita asked.

"She has an alcohol poisoning."

"Did you call an ambulance?"

"I did."

After a few minutes, the ambulance pulled up in front of the house and the paramedics got out.

"Hello. Is she okay?" The paramedic asked.

"No. She drank too much."

"Oh I see. We take her to the hospital."

The paramedics put Amira on the stretcher, gave her injections and loaded her into the ambulance. The ambulance drove away as quickly as it came. Lori and Rita looked at each other.

"Mom, how bad is an alcohol poisoning?" Lori asked.

"Pretty bad."

Rita pulled out her phone and dialed Amira's mother's number. At the same time, Amira underwent total treatment in the hospital emergency. Her stomach was pumped out and some substances were injected to counteract the alcohol. Amira didn't notice any of this. Half an hour later, Klara and Patrick reached the hospital. After asking a doctor where she is, they went to the appropriate door.

"Is she in there?" Patrick asked.

"I guess. Otherwise the doctor song." Klara said.

Klara knocked and entered with Patrick. A nurse connected a tube to an IV bag that was attached to Amira.

"How is she doing?" Klara asked.

"She has 2.4 permilles of alcohol in her blood. That's a strong alcohol poisoning."

"Oh god." Klara said shocked.

"Is this a lot?" Patrick asked.

"A lot? That's on the level of an alcoholic."

"Uh."

"I should have raised her better." Klara said.

"What do you mean?" Patrick asked. The nurse left the room before Klara answered.

"All. She became a big disappointment."

"Are you serious?"

"I don't know."

"Can I be alone with her?"

"Why? You hate her."

"Just because."

"Okay. I'll wait outside."

Klara left the room. Patrick turned to Amira.

"It's too far. I know we acted like jerks to each other, but this is going to far. It's actually painful to see you in this condition."

Patrick went to the door and turned back to Amira.

"I hope you understand what I said. Bye."

Patrick left. It was bedtime at the Louds' house. Leni allowed Lincoln to sleep with her. However, Lori made it clear that she was in charge.

"Don't wake me up or I throw you both out of the window." Lori said.

"Okay." Leni and Lincoln said nervous.

"Good. And I hope you do so."

Lincoln put on his pajamas and lay down with Leni, snuggling up next to her. Leni hugged him and Lori turned off the light.

As Alison slept, she felt something that woke her up. As she felt her stomach, she felt the child pounding in her stomach.

"God. Again?"

Alison rubbed her stomach as the door swung open. It was Constance.

"Did you saw my antidepressants?"

"I didn't." Alison said.

"Jesus where are they?"

"I felt a kick."

"Yeah I know. Where are my antidepressants?"

"Why?"

"Because I need them!"

Alison got up, which was very difficult, and walked out of her room.

"I'll help you."

Alison searched the kitchen, bathroom, and living room with Constance. The box of antidepressants was in the living room. Constance took a pill and Alison went back to her room and went back to sleep. Six hours later a new day began. Leni's alarm clock rang loudly. Leni woke up and turned off the alarm clock. She sat up.

"Good morning Lincoln." Leni said energetically.

Lincoln was startled. He sat up, breathing heavily.

"What was the wake up call for?"

"We have a lot to do for today."

"What?"

"Getting Amira out of your head dummy."

Lincoln looked sad on his legs. Leni realized what she said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Lincoln." Leni hugged Lincoln.

"Can you forgive me?"

"It's okay... Let's just go trough this day..."

Lincoln got up and went to his room. Hey changed. Lincoln got out of his room and saw Leni waiting in the hallway.

"Are you ready Lincoln?" Leni asked.

"For what? This day won't be good."

"Oh come on. We will have fun."

"Nothing makes fun without Amira."

"Forget about her!" Leni said sternly.

"I can't forget this angel." Lincoln said crying.

Lincoln hugged Lenis legs. Leni bent herself down to him and petted his back.

"I'm sorry Lincoln." Lincoln calmed down after a few minutes.

"Where is Amira?"

"Lincoln, you shouldn't think about her anymore."

"Where?"

"Fine. I just know that she was really dizzy and Lori went to her. That's all."

Lori got out of the bathroom.

"I heard what you were talking about. Nope, Amira drank way too much and got in the hospital." Lincoln paled.

"What?!"

"Yeah."

"I have to go to her." Lincoln said in panic.

"No Lincoln, we go somewhere else." Leni said.

"I have to." Come Leni. Let's grant his wish."

Lori took the key from Vanzilla and went to the regional hospital with Leni and Lincoln. When Lori stopped in the parking lot, Lincoln ran to the hospital. He ran through the entrance. Lori and Leni followed. Lincoln ran to the counter. "In which room is Amira Schroeder-Smith?" Lincoln asked.

"Uh, where?"

The doctor looked at the computer screen.

"Room 35."

Lincoln ran to room 35 and entered. Leni and Lori followed. Amira washes her face at a sink in the hospital room. She looked like she had had a bad night and looked two years older. Amira noticed the Louds and her expression went from tired and sick to annoyed.

"Oh my fuck... oh my god..."

"Feeling better?" Lori asked.

"No. I feel like I've been hit by a train."

"You look okay to me." Leni said.

"Don't surprise me." Lincoln stepped up to Amira.

"Can I help you?"

"Just go out and let me alone. I don't want to see anyone."

Lincoln took a step back.

"Just go. All of you."

Lori stepped to Amira.

"We are just here to see how you are doing."

"But I want to be alone."

A nurse entered the room.

"Ms. We told you that you should stay in bed." The nurse said sternly.

"Throw those strangers out and I consider."

Lincoln felt extremely hurt. Lori and Leni took him by the hand and went to Vanzilla. They went home. In the Louds' house, Leni and Lincoln sat down on the couch.

"Leni… I can't do this anymore." Lincoln said.

"Well, the reason I woke you up today was that I wanted to look for another girl for you."

"I don't want another girl. I want Amira."

"Do it Lincoln. Amira is gone."

"Okay… but I will never find love again."

Lincoln started crying.

Leni stroked Lincoln's back. Alison went to the doctor at the same time as Constance. The two entered the waiting room. Dr Smith entered after ten minutes.

"Hello miss judge. I'm glad you are doing well." Dr Smith said.

Constance got up.

"Hello. I'm Alison's mother."

"I remember. A different person was here the last time with miss Jugde. Please come with me."

Alison and Constance walked into a treatment room with Smith.

"I want you to lay down on the bed. We will control now the little fella." Dr smith said. Alison lay down on the bed. Smith put a clear gel on Alison's stomach and attached a wired device that used ultrasound to her. The child could be seen on a screen. Constance and Alison widened their eyes. "Do you want to know what it will be?" Dr Smith asked.

"Yes please." Alison said.

"It's a girl."

"A girl?" "Yes. She seems a bit small. But healthy as far as I see here."

"I would be glad if you come next week again. Since you are 14." Dr Smith said.

"Sure." Constance said.

Lincoln and Leni prepared to go.

"Okay Lincoln, let's solve this problem." Leni said with a happy looking facial expression.

"I want in my bed." Lincoln said.

"You come with me!" Leni said sternly.

"I don't want to get out."

"Lincoln we go out!"

"Okay… I go with you."

Leni took Lincoln by the hand and walked with him to the mall. The two were sitting on a bench in the mall. Leni looked around.

"How will this even work?" Lincoln asked.

"Well, first we have to find someone."

"I don't think that there is a girl who wants me."

"Bingo."

Leni saw a girl. 13 years old, long pitch black straight hair, wich reached her upper back, red shirt, blue jacket and blue skirt. Also white slippers. She stood next to a steel beam and read a comic.

"Lincoln, that's your chance." Leni said.

Lincoln looked at the girl.

"It's not Amira." Lincoln said sadly.

"Now go to her. If you don't do it you don't see her again."

"Leni… she isn't Amira."

Leni stood up and pushed Lincoln towards the girl. The girl looked at Leni and Lincoln confused. At that moment Leni ran away. The girl began to speak. With the most extreme Czech accent Lincoln had ever heard.

"What was that?"

"I don't know."

"It seems like she wanted us to know each other. Hi my name is Eliška."

"I'm Lincoln." Lincoln said quietly. Lincoln noticed the comic Eliška was holding.

"Is that Ace Savvy?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah. I ordered the... sorry. Čeština… yes, I ordered the Czech print of the comic." Lincoln shrugged.

"You like comics too?" Eliška asked.

"Yeah. I do." "Are you here to buy one?"

"Kinda. I forgot my money."

"Don't worry. I got the money from my parents yesterday. Enough for second."

Eliška and Lincoln went to the comic book store. Leni watched the whole thing. She jumped up and down as Lincoln and Eliška disappeared into the comic book store.

"I got it! Nobody should say I'm stupid! I know when people like each other!"

Lincoln and Eliška looked around the store.

"Wich was the comic want to buy?" Lincoln looked around and found one.

"Oh yes. This one. Ace Savvy and the the lost Christmas Express." Lincoln said.

"Never heard of that."

"It's a story about a train that drove to New York, but disappeared in a tunnel. Ace Savvy tries to find it."

"Sounds interesting. But it's not Christmas."

"Yes. But my little sister Lily destroyed the one I had first. So I have to replace it."

"Okay. Take these."

The two went to the cash register and Eliška paid. They both left the mall and stood in front of it.

"I have to go now. But take a photo."

Eliška held her phone to Lincoln, wich showed a Setup menu of the phone. Lincoln took out his phone and took a photo, but didn't know for what.

"For what is this?" Lincoln asked.

"Oh, sorry. You didn't understand Czech. You see the number in the part of the SIM card? That's my phone number."

"Okay."

Eliška waved.

"Sbohem Lincoln."

"Uh… What?"

"That means bye in Czech."

Eliška Went. When she left, Lincoln got an unpleasant surprise.

"Hi Lincoln!" Lincoln almost got a heart attack. It was Leni.

"Oh my god Leni! Why do you have to scare me like this?"

"Do you got the number of this girl?"

"Yes... kinda..."

"Yeaaaaaah!!!"

Leni jumped up and down and hugged Lincoln after that. Leni put Lincoln down.

"Leni, she doesn't seem to like me enough to become my girlfriend."

"But you still be good friends with her."

"But I have friends. I need a girlfriend."

"I will keep helping you."

"But Leni…"

"Yes?" Lincoln was becoming sad again.

"I want Amira back."

"Keep trying. Maybe Eliška starts loving you."

"Okay Leni."

"Good. Come, let's go home."

Lincoln and Leni went home.

At the same time, Rita knocked on the Jugde family's house. Constance opened the door.

"Oh hello. What do you need?"

"I just want to see what Alison is like." Rita said.

"Sure just come in." Rita entered.

"She's upstairs."

Rita nodded and went up the stairs. Alison sat on her bed thoughtfully.

"Oh hey. What are you doing here?" Alison asked.

"Just wanted to see how you are."

"Pretty good I guess. I was at the doctor today."

"Okay. Do you know the gender?"

"Yeah. A girl."

"Wow. Nice." Rita said happy.

"Yeah. Kinda interesting how many girls we both have then."

"I have to admit that."

Rita sat down next to Alison.

"But something tells me otherwise. Are you scared?"

"Yes… Extreme fear."

"Of giving birth."

"I have to be honest, it won't be easy."

"I know."

"I'll help you as best I can. Agreed?"

"Okay. I agree."

The evening begins when Amira leaves the hospital. She didn't feel like doing anything. Patrick made her bad mood even worse.

"Where are you going?" Patrick asked.

"Home."

"I see. Can I come with you?"

"No. I want to be alone."

"I don't care. I'm coming with you."

"I saw you five minutes ago and you already annoy me."

Patrick got angry and blocked Amira's way.

"Why do you always tread me like this?"

"Because I want so. And get out of my way."

"You tread me like shit! What have I done to you?"

"Get out of my way."

"I don't move until you agree that I come with you!"

"Ugh. Do it! But don't you dare to say one word!"

Patrick let Amira continue walking. While Amira was seething with anger, Patrick smiled slightly to himself.
