Hi everyone I go so much feedback yesterday on how you are enjoying the story and I'm glad haha. Please enjoy today's chapter!
Sonic POV
The sunlight shines on my eyelids, from the crack of the curtains.
I was about to turn on my side, but I forget the princess is curled up next to me, enjoying the heat from my body. I yawn softly and instead of turning over I wrap my other arm around Amelia, and I pull her in closer to my chest. She does not wake up and I can't blame her for sleeping so heavily. I look to the window and I think as the sunlight sits on my face.
"I do not know how to feel about what happened... but here I am cuddling with the princess of Asendel as she sleeps...", I look down to her and look at her face. Her eyes are not red from crying anymore and she looks more at peace than she did last night.
"She says she wanted to feel something, so we had sex?" Maybe this was a mistake…" I think as I move her pink, soft hair from her face. Her eyes then slowly open and she looks at me with those big, blue eyes. I kind of blush and I speak first.
"Sorry for waking you up",
She smiles slightly and then snuggles more to my chest. I feel my heartbeat a little faster and I try to control my heat from making her notice I was nervous for some reason. She soon breaks my thoughts by jumping up out of bed. She gets up and runs to the window and looks outside, without moving her curtains wide open because she is still naked. She turns around quickly and looks at me with fear.
"Sonic you have to go back to the cell, NOW", she whispered loudly.
She ran to my side of the bed and pulled the covers off of me. I look at her confusingly and she grabs my hands and pulls me onto my feet. She reaches down and throws me my black shorts, the only thing I came in since I destroyed my shirt. She then goes to her drawer to put clothes on and I speak.
"So, you are just going to let me be your booty call and send me back to cell", I say cracking a joke and getting a scolding look from her. She turns her head back and grabs a pair of shorts, underwear, t-shirt and a bra. I watch her quickly put her clothes on. Then I put my shorts on too so whenever she is done, she can kick me out from her room.
She flips her hair from out of her shirt and then runs to the door. She unlocks it and opens it carefully, peeking outside making sure not to see anyone. She looks at me and notices I only have shorts to wear.
"Look I'll get you more clothes later", she says "Now come on so we can get you back I think it's clear- ", she then gets cut off by someone appearing to the door. She almost slams the door but notices it's just one of her maids. She whispers something to her maid and her maid nods and turns around quickly. She closes the door softly and looks at me.
"Okay I told my maid to clear the hall for a second for me to walk through so no one will see you".
I nod my head and I walk towards her. She watches me get closer to her and watches my actions. As soon as I get close to her, I reach for her hand and she slowly puts it behind her back. I look at her in eye confused of her reaction and then she says.
"…I think we should hold off on…" this" …," she says while looking at me in the eye "I just feel like…um… it would be unnecessary for us to do that...again. I was... um", she stops talking and looks down to her feet.
"I just think I was needing a distraction", she said normally.
"Wait huh... a distraction", I said feeling my heart hurt softly at her words.
She picks her head up immediately from the tone of my voice and then says quickly ", I just think we should focus on the plan we thought of earlier, and because of all the things that have happened in the past hours, it might work more than what we expected",.
I think about It for a moment and agree. She nods and smiles softly and faces the door, while folding her arms, waiting for the maid to appear back to get me out of her room.
"But I am just a distraction to you…. cool", I think.
"Also, I will come get you later on during the day, after talking to some people and we will leave secretly when I come to "deal with you", she says while making quotations with her hands. I nod simply and she looks me, and then she looks down.
"Look, it's not that I don't like you...its just I have a lot of things to take care of firs- ", I cut her off by gently putting my hands under her folded arms. She doesn't look me in the eyes and looks back down to her feet.
"Then why did we do what we did? Did you not considering my feelings about this either", I say kind of loudly causing Amelia to jerk her head up and shush me.
"Noooo, Sonic...I thought about your feelings, but we just can't-
"Be nothing else? Cool", I say emotionless and I let go of her arms.
She looks like she was about to say something but is cut off a knocking at the door. She looks away from away from me slowly and opens the door slightly to see the little maid once again. Amelia quietly says thank you and then she closes the door.
"I don't even know why I said that. But at least I know how I truly feel now apparently" I think.
"I am giving my maid time to go somewhere where she won't see me take you out of my room". I don't say anything, and I just stand and wait. I hear Amelia sigh and she stands there too in the silence. Two minutes later, she peaks open the door and looks around. She turns around to me saying it was clear and reaches for my hand. I held my hands into my arms, and she looks at me annoyingly.
"Sonic come on, please cooperate", she says now grabbing me by the arms and pulling me out the room. I say nothing as we quickly walk back to the cell before someone notices that I am not there. We soon make it back to the cell and Amelia unlocks and pulls me inside and shuts it. I walk past her and I sit in the cold water, waiting to be cuffed. The shivers come back on my body as the water covers my legs. Amelia then comes near me and cuffs the hands cuffs on my wrists, and I feel my powers leave once again. The coldness from the water hits me like a brick and I shudder at the icy feeling.
Amelia looks at me and says
"Sorry, I know you are cold, but I will come back for you in a hour… I will see if my father will take the water out, so you don't freeze". I still say nothing, and she looks away.
"Can you please say okay or something", she says guilty.
"Okay", I say, and I shiver and move my legs away from her, bringing it close my chest. She takes my action into consideration and stands up and opens the door. She looks at me and then closes it and then the lights turn off, leaving me in darkness. I lean my head back on the cold jailcell wall and sigh.
"I don't know what I was thinking trying to become close to a water bender".
Amy POV
I quickly walk out of the jail chambers and I hurry down the hall to my room. I am stopped by rouge standing near the door of my room. She hears my footsteps and looks at me. She looks down to my feet and asks.
"Why are your feet wet".
I look down to my feet and I notice that they are still wet from the cell. I water bend the water off my feet and then I look back up to my friend. She motions her eyes to the door of my room, and I take the hint and open it. She passes in front of me first and heads to my bed. My heart drops as I watch her look at my bed curiously and then looks back to me.
"Well was he any good or".
I feel the life leave from my body and my throat goes dry. Rouge shakes her head and then walks to my window and opens the curtains to get fresh light in my room. I hold my arm, waiting to be yelled at, as Rouge went and sat down where me and Sonic sat.
"Come sit", she motions with her hand.
I walk slowly to her and sit down beside her. I look down to my hands as the sunlight warms my face reminding me of the actions of last night. Rouge clears her throat and says.
"I knew you were going to do this, especially after what happened in the recovery room", she says causally. I feel a slight blush appear on my face.
"I didn't", I say quietly, and I look at my wrists.
Rouge laughs a little and then puts my hand on my shoulder.
"Listen love, you were attracted to him and you got what you wanted...aint nothing wrong with that". I nod my head and then Rouge speaks again.
"Well unless, you want more".
My face goes completely red and I jerk my head up.
"I told him I did not want to move any further with this". She looks at me shockingly and then she looks at my neck.
"Hm…. But that hickey says otherwise".
After her comment, I run to the bathroom and I look at my neck. There are hickeys on my neck.
"Fuck", I thought in my head. I turn back to Rouge and I notice that she is trying to hold her laugh in.
"Hey, but how was it though… doing it with a prince Ooooh lala" she teases and laughs, throwing her head back.
"Rouge can we please change the subject", I look down to my toes and I walk back down to her and I sit down. Rouge then stops laughing and cocks her head.
"You did it after Axel got put in a hospital too- ",
"I WAS NOT PLANNING TOO", I yelled. Her face was unfazed but curious of what I was thinking.
"I felt so bad this morning, I had sex with someone who put Axel in the hospital... I was not thinking."
Rouge moves closer to me and says
"Yeah but Amelia you are your own person…you do know, that right? Axel made that decision to fight Sonic...not you".
I nod my head, but my heart still aches as the flashes of Axels face appears in my mind. I look up to Rouge and I thank her for her advice. She nods and then speaks again.
"Also, the guards that was supposed to go get this man you were looking for was not found in those bushes". My head perks up from her news and I shake my head in confusion.
"Wait how... I swear he was there", I say, and Rouge explains to me more.
"The guards reported seeing a sign of an area where he could have been from you fighting him, but they searched the whole area and did not see them."
"Maybe he was taken by the person who followed me and Rouge. There is no telling, but I am almost certain that he is affiliated to one who took out Sonic's commander".
"Do you know something I don't" says Rouge randomly.
"No" I say calmly and then I look back outside.
Rouge looks at me and spats
"So, what are you about to go now",
I smile softly and say
"You know me too well Rouge", I say standing up and stretching. Concern fills her face and she look out the window.
"Are you going to go take him to find out who framed us at the Fire Kingdom".
"Yeah...", I say, now looking her look through the window. She turns back to me looking serious than ever.
"All I say is be safe and smart, don't let stupid emotions get in your way from coming back to the kingdom safe", she says, and she then stands up and heads towards the door. I watch her leave and then I suddenly say.
"I will...also could you bring me some fire battling armor, Sonic did not bring anything with him so he will need more than a pair of shorts".
She turns around with the biggest smile on her face while grabbing the doorknob.
"Wow princess, of course that's all you let him have on, freak girl you", she says and leaves my room before I have time to speak. I blush a little and I turn to my closet and I choose out an outfit for today and also for leaving later with Sonic.
I make sure to wear something that doesn't show that I am from the Asendel. I choose out a black form fitting tank top crop top, that has the back out in a halter top fashion and then I grab my specialized water bending tights, that have a swirling cut going up my leg and hooks on to my toes.
I bend down and I open a secret compartment and I pull out a dagger, a tiny bag, and tiny purple needles. I head for my bathroom and I tie my hair in a half up, half down hair style revealing my face. I look down to my neck and I still see the hickeys. I slowly touch them and my mind flashes to Sonic body on top of mine. I shake my head and I grab my make up from a drawer and I put it on the hickey making it disappear. Then I put the pins in my hair. I grab my bag and my dagger, I put the dagger in my bag, and I slide it under my bed.
I make my way to the door and I close it behind me heading towards the recovery room. I walk down the carpet stairs and I pass maids. They bow to me and I smile softly at them. I loved my people of Asendel, which is why I must do what I need to do so I can protect everyone here. I soon reach my destination and I open the door. I look around the healing room and I see some rookies sitting there getting stiches or get their joints checked out. Everyone notices I walk in the room and bow. I smile at them and I make my way to find Axel. I walk to the last room in the hallway and I see my red-haired best friend.
I walk in and I slowly walk up to him to get a better look. His face was badly bruised causing me to frown. The healing team had healed his face up pretty good, but he also had stiches in some places. His eye was purple, and his jaw was swollen. I place my hand gently on his face and I lean down to kiss his forehead. I rub his hair back and then I see his green eyes looking at mine. I stare at his face shocked that he is looking at me.
"Axel?" I say as I lean in closer to him and he smiles softly.
"Hey princess", he says hoarsely.
I lean down and I hug him softly, making sure not to hurt him. He slowly brings his hand around my back and hugs me.
" Oh my god Axel, I say , trying not to break down in front him, "I am so sorry this happened to you, but WHY DID YOU GO AGAISNT MY ORDERS AND FIGHT HIM….now look at you…I was so scared that I would never talk to you again after you did not wake up in my arms, " I lecture him. He smiles and shakes his head.
"I guess I got a little ahead of myself once again… "he says softly. He then looks at my clothes and tries to sit up. I watch him sit up and I watch him carefully, making sure he does not hurt himself.
"Amy…what are you about to go do", he says looking at me in concern.
I look at him and shake my head.
"Nothing what do you mean", I lie. He looks at my hair and notices the pins in my hair and then leans up even more to get out of the bed. I stop him from doing so and he grabs my arm.
"Amy... you just got back... please don't leave the kingdom...not when I cannot protect you again", he says and slowly moves his arm down to my hand. I look at his hand and then back him.
"I have to protect my people", I say confidently.
"Okay but what about you, you are the future of the kingdom and if something happens to you then- "I cut him off by hugging him. He hugs me back. We stay in this position for a while and then I pull away from him. He looks at me in disagreement, but he knows he cannot change my mind.
"I am coming with you then," he says lifting himself off the bed and onto the floor. He soon winces from his head and I carefully put him back on the bed.
"No, I need you to protect Asendel for me", I say, and I rub his head as he winces from the pain. He looks down to the ground and then slowly looks up at me in the eyes. I look at him back and he suddenly grabs my head and kisses me.
"Wha- ", I think as his lips are pressed against mine. My heart skips a bit. He pulls away and then smiles at me.
"Wait what did I jus- "I was cut off from him looking at my neck and I cover it quickly. He moves his brow in confusion and then he speaks.
"I just wanted to give you something to think about while you are gone", he says smoothly. I don't say anything as I feel my face burn hot.
"Think about what" I say shocked.
"Just about how my feelings have developed over the years for you… when you left I felt like I would have never seen you again… I care about you Amelia and I have developed feelings for you", he said strongly.
"I can't do this",
I speak and stutter over my words.
"I... um...we… ILL BE SAFE AND COME BACK", I yell, and he laughs at my sudden outburst. He pulls me in for a hug one last time and I hug him back awkwardly. I lean up and I walk out of the room and I close the door. I make sure to tell the healers that Axel is awake. My face is still burning, and I head out of the healing room and I find a maid. It's my maid, Linda. She has blond hair and an old sweet smile. She turns to me holding some clothes and bows.
"Good morning Linda ", I say
"Good morning princess, glad to see you back".
I nod and say
"Could you fix me up some food and put it in my room, I am famished, and I would like anything to eat",
She nods at my request and heads to the kitchen to bring me something. I sigh and I shake my head, trying to forget what just happened.
"I am a mess, my mom would be on my head if she knew what I was doing. I am not trying to fall in love with ANYONE… I have my kingdom to worry about."
Suddenly Sonic's big arms appears in my mind and I cause my face to blush madly and I storm all the way back to my room in embarrassment.
