Sonic POV
Amelia stuffs the clothes in her small bag and then opens river back open for us to climb out of. We get back on the normal surface and Amy lets go of the water and then looks around her. I look around as well to make sure we were not followed. I look towards the sky noticing that the moon is on the other side, getting closer to the edge of the sky. My eyes move back to the forest ahead of me.
"They don't see us now, but they do know we are somewhere here…maybe you should put the outfit on in just case" I say looking Amelia.
Amy agrees and puts the outfit on. She turns to me and asks does she look normal. The robe drags on the floor a bit and is big hiding her figure completely. I nod my head and she speak through the mask that was also with the outfit she found.
"Okay cool, now I will cross my arms from the back of me, and you just hold them as we walk around until we find someone, or we come over their base."
Amy moves to behind me and grabs my arms. She pushes me and trying to sell her part as good as she can, and we start walking. We step back into the thick forest walking cautiously through the forest. The moon light is the only thing guiding us throughout the forest.
"I know I shouldn't be nervous but… I really want to stop this person who has been killing and misleading people", Amelia says quietly.
"And we will stop them" I say.
We soon come across a purple flag, with a star on it. I look around and the area looks so hidden. You would really have to travel far to find this place. The flag is waving mysteriously in the thick forest wind. Amy suddenly freezes my hands, mouth with ice. She leaves a little room for me to talk and breathe. I look back her and she says.
"Well everyone knows who you are, so I had to cover you with something, you technically aren't that easy to capture so..."
My heart sinks a little thinking about what she just said.
"So, she does think I am dangerous… then why is she staying near me".
I just nod at her response and continue to walk forward. We walk past the flag blowing in the moonlight and we start walking past tiki torches. The tiki torches have star carving on them, the same one from the flag and the tiki torches are showing a path somewhere so we decide to follow it. The crackling from the fire is the only noise we hear in this quiet forest.
Suddenly someone jumps over our head and runs quickly down the path of the torches. It makes Amelia stops and she stares into the direction. I clear my throat, trying to tell Amelia to continue and she stands there.
"…Amelia what's wrong" I whisper looking back at her. I am unable to read her face because of the mask but she perks her head up, snapping out of her trance.
"Sorry, I am fine" she says.
She then continues to walk and pushes me along, the ground below us starts to turn into puddles and then deeper it starts to get deeper covering my ankles. The water is cold and wet grass is touching my feet. I shudder at the feeling.
I hate water.
Amelia steps on top of the water and continues to push me. Trees soon start to separate, and it shows a kingdom with the same flag from what we saw before we walked in. There are no big walls securing the kingdom though. It's just small Hubble houses, made from hay and mud. We make our way to the entrance that has no guards protecting it. The water that was also touching my ankles soon disappear as we take steps into the kingdom. It is the middle of the night, but everyone is awake and doing things. I watch in awe and then soon someone flies over my head and lands near more people who are… levitating?
"Air benders…" Amy murmurs quietly.
Air benders were not seen a lot anymore based on the massive destruction of their kingdom. I have only seen an air bender once but that was when I was a teen and my father would take me on trips to study them. There kingdoms were always in the mountain though. Spread across all over the world but now since my mother took over… I am not sure what has really happened to most of them.
"I will fix it though, so everyone can live together…"
We walk more into the kingdom and there are people in purple all over, but without their masks on. They talk and eat, while water bending around in the kingdom. Earth benders are also making more houses for newcomers as wells. They stomp the ground and create houses for a small family of four. I look around for some fire benders but there are known to be found.
I sigh and notice that Amelia slowly starts to slow down and then I clear my throat again. Amelia jerks back again and walks tightening her grip on my wrists.
Some of the people in purple start to notice who Amelia is pushing in. They gasp in awe and all look at me.
"This is so weird" I think as my eyes soon meets with a small earth bender looking at me. He is standing on a rock I am guessing he created. Soon a woman comes and brings him away from me. The woman looks at me with fear.
"Understandable"
I keep my head down to avoid any more eyes and Amy pushes me more, trying to sell her part. As we walk it gets so quiet but the eyes in room are loud. Amy clears her throat and says loudly.
"GUYS, I GOT HIM", she says, and everyone looks at Amy and then everyone starts to chant and yell.
Amy stops and lets the people cheer for her chant things. People quickly crowd us but makes sure not to get so close.
"GREAT JOB EQUALIZER", someone yells from the crowd now surrounding us.
"Equalizer?", I say out loud confused but Amelia couldn't hear me, due to all the yelling.
"Wow so brave!" another one yells patting Amy on the shoulder roughly.
"Kill him where he stands" someone yells and that comment causes Amy's grip to tighten on my wrist. My heart thumps hard as I hear that comment making me look up at the raging crowd. I make eye contact and the crowd moves back far. Their eyes show that they are so afraid of me. Something hits me in the chest, and I look down and I notice that it is a red tomato. Soon another one hits me but its hits me in the head.
I hear Amelia gasp softly and her grip tightens.
"HE DESTROYED MY HOME", someone yells and soon another tomato hits me in the leg. That hit made me a little mad, so I stand up fully and as I look around to see who threw that. The crowd backs up as my expression threatens them. Everyone backs up besides this white, big, bear. He has a scar on his eye, and he is wearing the purple cloak as well. He walks up to quickly and I feel Amelia pull me back. My white bear grabs my collar and I feel Amelia hands leave mine as I now brought up close to the face with an angry "Equalizer".
"Hey, stop he is my prisone- "Amelia gets cut off as the other Equalizer run up to her. They hug her and shake her hand. They soon lift her from the ground and now they are passing her around as if she is a trophy. I look back to her and then I slowly look at the dumbass holding my collar.
I meet his angry eyes and I stare at him.
Soon the darkness comes back and all I see is this white bear in front of me. A smirk slowly forms on my face and he looks at me with disgust. He then pulls up his fist and moves it back like he is about to punch me hard in the face. I look at his fist and I feel a flame ignite excitedly as I want him to hit me so bad.
"Do it", I say staring into his eyes with no fear.
"If he hits me, I will make sure to blow this entire place up…" I think as a small flame appears in my hand.
His hand moves back father as he preps to hit me in the face.
My heart starts pumping fast. I want him to hit me so bad so I can show everyone not to fuck with me.
He then drops his hand slowly and drops me back on the ground. I hit the ground and the darkness soon leaves. I look at him confused as he didn't hit me in the face.
"I will let the leader deal with you… scum like you don't deserve just a punch, you deserve something so much worse" he says and then he walks toward the crowd. I watch him walk away and he grabs Amelia from being crowd surfed. He places her on the ground and motion her to get me.
She nods and moves to me quickly. I look at her and then to the bear who was looking at me angrily and then his face went to sad. He pushed his way through the crowd and slowly disappeared.
"What was that about".
Amelia picks me up by my hands and I stand up. I feel more ice go on wrists since I melted some of it off from melting it earlier.
We start to walk through the crowd and Amy continues to get pats from the people in purple. They continue to chant terrible things and I try to ignore them.
"My mother impact is really going to make this harsh for me to fix things"
Someone then yells to alert the leader, and everyone starts to surround us walking guiding us towards a long, tall, complicated looking castle. The castle was stretched out across the ocean. The kingdom is spread out into four different parts, almost like it is shaped like a big plus sign. I squint my eyes at the castle that was so far away, and I notice that there is a part of it higher in the sky. I look at it confusingly and I continue to walk.
There was a long walkway on the water and a bridge going to the entrance of the castle. It made me feel confused of how we never knew this was here. Soon a tomato hits me in the head. Amy notices and gasps quietly. Darkness fills my vision again causing me to stop walking. I hear Amelia say something, but I cannot hear based on the dark flames I feel in my body. The heat from my body increases.
"Amelia… let me go" I say darkly as all I can hear is the crowd yelling at me behind us.
"Stop getting so hot I can't breathe, and the ice is melting" she says trying to keep the ice on my body.
I stop and I almost turn around and try to go attack the crowd
"Stop that", Amelia whispers angrily.
"They are treating me like I am trash and so please let me just hit one of them" I say.
"What are you talking about! These people are obviously confused… we are going to change what they think about the fire kingdom… remember", she says in a shocking tone.
The darkness disappears and the moon light comes back to my vision, shining brightly over the waters and the castle ahead of us.
She pushes me forward, reminding me we have more important stuff to care about. The crowd continues to cheer on Amelia and also call me names as we make it to the bridge. The bridge look like it was a mile and a half long. We step on the walkway and we start heading to the castle. The crowd stops at the edge of the walkway and continues to yell out random things, I could not pick out anymore. Which is probably a good idea for now.
"That was kind of scary", Amy says through the mask as we walk.
"Did not know hundreds of people felt that way about me… well I knew but I never heard it". I say laughing softly.
"Sonic…" Amelia says and walks a little slower.
"Hey what are you doin-
Amelia slows down more and I turn around to look at her, but I can't see her face.
"Why did you say that back there…it wasn't like something you would say…I feel like something bad is going to happen" she says as she begins to slow down more.
"Fuck she noticed…" I think and then I say
"I just got angry that was all… I just get defensive sometimes, so my anger just takes off… don't worry about me though I am just worried about you. I won't let nothing bad happen to you, Amelia", I say, hoping she will
continue to walk.
"It's not about me though, it's about you…these people are angry and if they follow this leader… what if they try to kill you on spot". She says slowing down more and almost stopping.
"I won't let him, simply". I say confidently
"Plus, it is two against one, so our odds are higher"
Amy nods her head and goes back to walking. She readjusts her grip and me and stands taller as we are nearing the castle. We start to walk on stone pavement now as our feet make a different sound then the bridge we were just walking on.
"Also, no matter what happens. Don't let them know it's you…I don't care if I'm getting hit or what…put your feelings in your pocket and stay strong okay", I say quietly.
"… okay", Amy says sounding really worried. I wish I could persuade her more but it's too late for that because we are at the gates. We see purple guards in sliver armor this time and they approach us. Amy then pushes me and trips me causing me to fall on my face in front of the guards.
"Ouch, she is really playing this role".
"I am here to see the leader" Amy says strongly and confidently. The big guards look at me and then looks to Amy. One of the guards is a grey, muscular hedgehog with a scar on his eye. The other big guard is a purple echidna with big metal fists on his hands. The reach down and pick me up by my arms and pushes me. I look from behind me and I get pushed again.
"Walk on your own" the grey hedgehog says darkly, and I start walking more towards the entrance. I walk up the stairs and I head into the castle. I am met with a peaceful inside in the palace. There is a pianist in the far corner playing music.
"They play music this early in the morning-", I thought as I get pushed once more because I stopped to look around. The rest of castle is painted in light lavender colors and blue. The halls are also empty with random statues places everywhere. The sign on the flag is every too. We walk down the long hall and then the guard grabs me by the shoulder and then throws me on the steps. I almost burst into flames, but I remember that I have to remain calm. I slowly try to pick myself up until I am pushed back down again. I feel a foot on my back as the steps crush my face.
"How does it feel to be under someone else for a change huh" the purple echidna laughs and so does the wolf at the joke. Soon I get picked up, but I feel soft hands and I know exactly who it is. My mouth twitches and the darkness slowly enter my vision again until I hear Amelia's voice.
"Okay guys, let me pick up the hot head and show him how its done",
Amelia grabs me by my hair roughly and pushes me up the stairs. She is way shorter than me, so she actually is putting me in an uncomfortable position. We walk up the last step and she pushes me, and I fall on the ground. The guards behind us laugh and the grey one pulls me up on me feet.
"Wow equalizer, who are you," says the grey hedgehog as he eyes Amelia up and down.
"You all will know soon as I turn in this hot head and complete are long lost mission', she says back and waits for them to start walking.
"Well if you ever want to celebrate…come find me after this", he says slowly to Amelia and yanks me up and we start to walk.
"I want to kill these guys so bad", I think as I start to heat up. The grey one notices and pushes my head to the wall.
"Hey there, cool it down" he says in my ear as he holds my head to the wall.
"Take off these cuffs and I'll show you how I fucking cool down", I say back.
The grey hedgehog laughs and grabs me by hair, and I shrug my head from his grip. The grey hedgehog then water bends a blast of water at me sending me far down the hallway. I hit the ground and I feel vibrations coming from where I was pushed from. I see the purple echidna with an ice hammer and swings it at me and I dodge it last minute by rolling to my left. The ice hammer shatters, and I try to stand up, but I am picked up by the grey hedgehog and the purple echidna sends a hard punch to my stomach with his iron fists. I cough and the air leaves my body as I am still being held up by the grey hedgehog. I try to catch my breath. They both laugh and I throw my head back head butting the guy in the nose.
I turn around to see his nose bleeding and he looks at me with a death glare.
Something I like to see.
