Tasting profane feelings

Sonic POV

I walk up the stairs and I notice no one is around.

Why is his kingdom so empty? Maybe that's their plan, to throw me off while I follow this guy's direction to Amy.

I start walking faster noticing that something could be happening to her.

Down the hall, up three flights, to the right and more flights and then I am there. I really hope I am going the right way and if he tricks me ill just attack everyone until I find Amy.

I make it up the first flight of stairs and then I come across a worker. She is a pink bunny and fear takes her face. The towels she was holding in her hands fall to the floor. She starts to take steps away from me and then eyes down the hallway. I look down the hallway she looked down and I noticed some guards. The guard slowly looks were we are, and I move back so they didn't see me.

"Hey! What are you doing!" the guard yells at the bunny?

The bunny jumps and picks up the towels quickly. I mouth the words "What are you going to tell them".

The bunny looks panicked as she looks me and then the guards.

"Um… I SAW A SPIDER" she yells loudly while looking at me.

"Well get back to work" the guard yells from afar.

She walks past me like a scared child in the dark and goes down the stairs quickly. I watch her walk past me until she goes all the way to the floor and walks off. I turn and I go up the next flight of stairs. I quietly run up the stairs because I feel like that bunny wasted some of my time. I hit the second floor and I see the bunny again.

I walk up the stairs in confusion as her eyes meet mine. She looks at me with fear and then she drops her towels in shock.

Wait… didn't I just see her

"Hey! What are you doing, yelled a guard?

She backs up at me in fear and I look at her in confusion.

"Hey… didn't I just pass you" I whisper

She looks at me in and picks up the towels. She then runs past me and hops down the stairs. I watch go to the last floor and then disappear.

I ignore it and I walk upstairs again.

One more flight and then to the right.

I run up the stairs quietly once again and then I see the bunny… again.

Huh… I just saw her.

She looks at me and of course she drops her towels. The guard yells and at her and then she picks up her towels and starts to walk past me. I grab her arm, but my hand goes through her arm.

Wait…did my hand just go through her arm?

I stop and I look around the palace. My eyes widen as I soon notice what is happening. A charge a fire ball in my hand I aim for the window in front of me. It breaks and the glass falls everywhere. I run to it and I inhale fresh oxygen. I take deep breaths and then I turn around slowly and the bunny is looking at me. She drops her towels and then looks at the guards. This time the guards see me breathing out the window.

Their eyes widen and they start to charge at me. I move swiftly and I grab the bunny in a threating way. The guards stop as they see I am holding the bunny hostage.

"Take a step closer and I'll cook her" I say back eyeing them both. They look at each other and then back to me. The bunny suddenly goes through my arms and then runs down the stairs again. The guards then smirk at me evilly and charge at me. One guard sends his leg at me and I block it, while shooting a fire blast at him and it goes right through.

My eyes widen in confusion and the guard punches me in the face causing me to fall to the floor. I flip up and I take some steps back to try to figure out this situation.

Okay so its defiantly, poison bending. But why can't I get out of this… Maybe I still can't just breathe. Looks like I just need to blow some stuff up before someone catches me.

I blast myself over the guards with my fire and I make sure to get far away from the place I have to go to save Amelia. The guards start to run at me. I quickly charge a big fire blast and I send it above me, the sides of the walls and the floor below. I move out the way just in time, so I won't fall, and I watch as the whole falls in and hits the first floor.

Air soon hits my face and I inhale the air. I close my eyes trying to focus to come back to normal. I open my eyes and I see the bunny on the other side of the hall. The guards have disappeared as well. This time she doesn't have towels and she look more terrified than before.

I jump across the big hole I created, and I walk towards her. She falls on the ground and starts backing up in fear. I roll my eyes and I reach out to her. She flinches and says.

"Please don't harm me, I was ordered to trick you so you wouldn't reach the leader. But I promise to let you pass… I- "

"Oh… this was you", I said normally.

"Am I still under the poison spell or what".

"No-no sir, I, I, stopped", she says while looking down to her feet in fear.

I look at for a few seconds and I walk past her. The dark flame lights in me once again and I stop walking. I hear her gasp as she thought I was going to leave her alone.

She tricked me… I shouldn't let her go so easily. She put Amelia in danger.

I turn around and I walk to her with much force. She yells and tries to get up, but I grab her by her ears. I head to the nearest window and I hold her out of it. I look down to how long her fall would be.

This would definitely teach her not to mess with the fire-… Wait what am I thinking. I shouldn't be doing this.

I snap back and I notice that she is crying hysterically, wanting me to put her back down. I slowly bring her back through the window and I drop her on the floor. She stands up and runs down the stairs to the first floor. Disappearing for good this time.

I breathe slowly heavily as I think about the action that could have happened if I did not think. I look out the window again and I see that the sun is in now showing its whole shape. The world looked orange and the water looked peaceful. I turn away from it and I start to walk back to the stairs to go find Amelia. I step on the first step and I suddenly feel a pain in my chest. I fall to my knee and I clench to my chest as it sends sharp pains in my chest.

What's going on with me… I feel like I have not been in control of anything anymore. Why does it feel like I am about to explode?

I take a deep breath and I feel the pain go away. I shake my head and I start to walk up the stairs again. I pick up the pace realizing how long it probably has been since I have moved. I go up two more flights and then I head right. The hallway is long. I look around first to make sure no one was on the hall. It was empty again. I run down the hall, making sure no one sees me.

SPLASH!

A wave water comes at me and I dodge it just in time. The water shoots out of the window, where I am guessing that's where I should have been. I turn around and I see my old "friend". The grey hedgehog appears to me once again, but he is holding his ribs.

I look at him holding his ribs and I laugh.

"Wow, I am surprised you are still walking. That kick was supposed to have you out for a month but looks like your leader doesn't have wimp followers", I say watching him scowl at me angrily.

"Also, I pretty sure you saw your friend… if you walk away now than you can avoid that same outcome", I say darkly.

The grey hedgehog walks closer to me and I take step back, watching him carefully.

"You are scum… you really think I am going to let you get away with that. I am not afraid of some fire demon", he says while moving his hand away from his ribs.

"Ha, fire demon! Maybe you are right I am a demon", I say. I feel the dark flame inside my body ignite and start walking towards him. He shoots a wave of water at me and I dodge by moving to the side easily. I charge at him, sending my heel at his face and he dodges it and grabs my ankle. I shoot fire from my foot, but he freezes my foot before I could do that, and he slams me to the ground. I swing my other foot at his hand on my ankle and I kick it off. I roll forward and I slam my foot on the ground, breaking the ice on my foot.

He shoots an ice block at my head as soon as I get to my feet and I roll out of the way. I get caught by a blast of water though and I fall on my back. The grey hedgehog charges at me and jumps in the air. I move out the way just in time and his iron fist slams on the ground cracking the pavement. I back away, noticing that he is fighting smarter than he did before.

"I am not playing with you this time prince, YOU WILL BE STOPPED" he yells at me and then sends water at me.

I hit the water with fire creating a thick mist. Water starts to get shot aimlessly through the mist and I cock my head in confusion. I jump up on the celling and I spot him on the floor shooting water everywhere. I blast at him the ceiling and swing my foot right in his ribs, where I kicked earlier. He screams out in pain and blood flies from his mouth. He hits the ground and holds his ribs in pain. I watch him and my mouth twitches. I grab his body and I drag him to the wall.

I buss his head through a window and the glass cuts his face and body as I hold him out the window. I put my hands around his neck, and I choke through the window. Some of the glass cuts me as well but I don't feel anything but… anger.

He tries to reach for my face to pry me off of him, but it doesn't work.

The dark flame in my body intensifies as I choke him harder, making his eyes go red. I slowly smile as I watch him struggle underneath my grip.

"This is how it should be… anyone who gets in our way must die. We refuse to be treated like scum to anyone. PEOPLE WILL UNDERSTAND THAT THEY SHOULDN'T MESS THE FIRE KINGDOM. "says the darkness

Heat in my body soon intensifies and the hedgehog I am choking starts to sweat profusely.

"Please sir, stop!"

I turn around and I see the bunny looking at me in shock.

"You won! Please don't kill him", she yells.

What…

I look at the bunny in confusion and suddenly a fist hits me in the face causing me to hit the floor and releasing the hedgehog from my grip. The grey hedgehog coughs and holds his throat. He then takes steps towards me, but the bunny stands in the way.

"Please stop Miere! He won't hurt you" she says blocking me from Miere, the grey hedgehogs name.

"HE ALMOST KILLED, LILBRI… I HAVE TO PROTECT THE KINGDOM", he pushes the bunny out of the way, and she falls to the other side of the hallway.

I watch her fall and she is now unconscious. I watch him stand and he starts moving his hands at the window. I stand up slowly but the pain in my chest comes back and I kneel once again.

Ahhh, fuck come on Sonic… not now

I breath heavily as the pain comes back and the I notice a big shadow appear from the window. I look and I see a big wave of water heading towards the windows.

If he does that… the water will send all of us out of the window and we will plummet to the water below.

"THIS IS IT PRINCE, I WILL WIPE YOU OUT FOR GOOD", he yells and sends in the big wave of water from the ocean.

I stand up weakly and I shoot fire from my feet. I grab the unconscious bunny and I run down the hall. The water blast crashes through the windows. I look back to see the water even take out Miere. I look forward and I continue to run to the end of the hall. I finally make to the stairs and I jump on them just in time before the water hits me. I move more up the stairs while holding the bunny over my shoulder.

I come up to a floor with big windows and then I see the black doors.

I look around, making sure the area was safe and I gently place the bunny near a wall. She slowly wakes up and her red eyes open to mine. She looks around and notices the black doors. She slowly looks at me and says.

"Thank you for not hurting him, sir" she says as she looks at her white, fuzzy hands.

"The princess should be in through those doors".

I nod and stand. I walk slowly to the black doors and I soon feel the temperature drop.

"Sir, please be careful! No one has never left that room besides the leader himself" she yells from afar. I turn around and I see that she is now standing.

"Why are you helping me…" I say back and she her ears fall to the sides of her face.

"You remind me of my brother… he was a fire bender as well, but he was killed long ago during the war. He would get really mad just like you but that didn't do him any good" she says sadly.

"Then why are you working for him", I question.

"My family was killed by fire benders our own kind… and because I was a water bender… they killed them".

I watch her in silence, and I notice tears are falling from her face.

She has been affected from the war as well. I have to change things for her so she can live a better life.

"I'll make the world safer for you so that never happens again", I say as I watch slowly pick her head up and look at me.

"I promise. No one should have gone through what my mom put everyone through. I promise to change this world for you." I say looking her in the eyes.

"…Thank you, sir" she says quietly.

I nod and I turn around to heading to the door. I place my hand on the handle and I notice how cold it is. I twist it and I notice that it is locked.

I turn around and I see the bunny still looking at me in awe.

"You probably would want to get out of here, go tell your friends to leave as well. It's not safe and your leader obviously doesn't care about that." I say and she nods and runs down the stairs.

I turn around and I step back a few steps... I charge at the door and I bust it open with my feet sending flames. I bust through the door and I hit the cold ground. I slip on it and I fall on my butt.

Did I just slip on ice?

I can't see anything either

Soon the room comes to light. I close my eyes as until it gets use to the bright light. My eyes adjust and I notice I am in a big room, covered in ice. I look all around and then I look up seeing how high the ceiling was.

Holy shit

I look down and I look around me. It's just a big room covered in ice, almost like I walked in a glacier. I look ahead of me and my eyes widen. Its Amelia unconscious on an ice table.

My heart jumps and I run to her.

Why isn't she moving!

I make it to Amelia, and I grab her face. I look at her body and I notice that she is not harmed. But she isn't moving.

"Hey Amelia, please wake up" I say lightly tapping on her face. I warm my hands up around her face, trying to get her to wake up somehow. Her eyelids twitch and her eyes open revealing her deep blue eyes to me.

"Hey, can you hear me", I say looking at her closely. She blinks a couple at times and then her eyes widen. She water bends the ice from the floor, and it hits me sending me far away from her. I lean up and I look at her in confusion.

"Amelia- "I was cut off as she sends a sharp icicle at me and I dodge it.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME" she yells as she looks at me frightened.

Why is she acting so afraid of me…?

I watch her and she falls back on the table. I run up to her and I notice her eyes are spinning all across the room. I reach out to her and she pushes me away.

"Please don't hurt me Sonic, I thought you cared about me" she says weakly.

"I would never hurt you Amelia, where is this coming from"? I questioned and I wrap my arms around her leaning her up.

"You destroyed Asendel" she says weakly

"What… no I didn't… Amelia what happened to you", she doesn't respond as her eyes spin across the room.

"Wait… were you- "

"Poisoned, yes but only for her to see the truth about you" a voice says behind me.

I lay Amelia gently back on the table and I turn around to meet ice block hitting me in the side causing me to slip and slide on the ice floor.

I look up and I see the leader.

The man who needs to be taken down.

The dark flame ignites in me and I rise up slowly.
