SONIC POV

I fly towards the green dumb ass and I land on the ice 6 feet away from him. He stares at me and then begins to laugh.

"You are a fool if you really think you can beat me without her help" he says

I don't respond as I look at him.

"He has cuts all over and just got done playing tug of war with Amelia with a huge pillar. This should be easy… but I want to make sure he pays for hurting her."

He smirks shoving his sharp teeth at me not responding.

"So now you are too cool to talk to me? Fine… let's get this over with" he says while cracking his neck.

The darkness feels my vison as the flames blast through my feet. I exhale and a tiny blast of fire comes out of my mouth.

"I have never felt this angry and control before. Maybe it's because I am fighting for someone other than myself for once."

I blast at him quick throwing him off guard and I send knee into his stomach causing him to cough and go flying to the wall. I land on my feet as I watch his body plop to the floor. I start walking to him as he pulls himself up slowly.

"Break everyone bone in his body" says the darkness.

I ignore that comment, but I do start walking to him. My feet sizzle against the ice causing Scourge to look at me. He slowly stands up but I help by grabbing his throat and slamming him into the wall. He grabs my wrist and I look at his hand.

"Don't let that trash touch you" says the darkness.

I move my free hand back and I send a punch hard into stomach. He coughs and I drop him to the floor as he tries to catch his breath. I look at him annoyingly and I realize that he isn't fighting like he was before.

"Why aren't you fighting back" I say as I watch him struggle on the ground.

He coughs roughly again, and I stare him emotionlessly. I walk up to him and step his arm. He winces and shoots ice at me, but I easily break it but chopping it in half before it reaches my face. I look at his arm.

"You know you broke Amelia's arm right" I say and looks back at me in confusion.

"You think I give a shit about that girl" he says in pain.

I blink slowly and open my mouth.

"Let me show you what It probably felt like" I say and I point two fingers at his arm and I shoot a fire bullet right through it.

Scourge yells in pain as I rip through his arm with my fire. He pushes my foot of of his arm and I step a back bit wanting him to get up.

"Burn him, burn him" says the darkness.

I ignore it again and then s sharp pain enters my chest. I squeeze my fist trying to overcome the pain and not get distracted. Scourge uses the wall for support to stand and looks at me and starts to laugh.

"I am surprised you haven't killed me yet. The darkness in you must not be that powerful yet."

I stare at him in confusion and he sees my reaction and laughs even more.

"What do you mean" I question as he continues to laugh.

"As if I would ever tell you" he says.

I take a step towards him and he throws water at my face, but I dodge it by ducking and then I grab his face with my hand. I slam him on the ground.

I look at my hand and I zone out.

"This is the same thing my mother did to Cosmo" I think, and I stare at my hand.

"Burn his face, do it" says the darkness.

I immediately remove my hand from his face, and he smirks wildly. He sends his fist across my face causing me to fall to the side. He then throws me across the room by using the ice on the ground. I fly in the air and then I hit the table Amelia was on earlier breaking it into pieces. I groan and I open my eyes to see sharp objects flying towards me. I roll backwards and I doge them with a quickness.

I look forward and I don't see Scourge. I hear a faint movement behind, and I duck fast. A sharp sword blade slices the tips of my hair as I duck. I around and I jump back as he tries to cut me again.

"Sonic, you need to listen to the darkness and stop trying to give me so many chances" he says and then he runs to me.

He swings the sword quickly at me, but I dodge all of them.

"How do you know about the darkness" I say as I jump far back making a big gap in between us.

Scourges smirks and points his sword to me.

"I have been doing research on why fire benders are so evil and contain such a more violent power than the rest of us. Which is why countless of your people were sacrificed for me so I could find out that truth… because doesn't your chest hurt… right?"

The sharp pain comes quick and more painfully than last time. I fall to my knees and I clutch my chest in pain.

How did he know that…?

"The pain comes and goes because you don't listen to a command Sonic. The darkness gives you power and if you refuse to use it comes back and hits you 10 times as harder" says the darkness.

I breathe heavily and I look up and I see Scourge about to slice me. I jump back and the sword barely dodges my face but cuts into my thigh causing me to wince.

Scourge then points his sword at me again and yells.

"LISTEN TO THE DARKNESS AND KILL ME".

"Kill him" says the darkness.

Scourge runs up to me and I continue to dodge his attacks. He moves to quickly trying to slice me. I hit the wall and I duck. His sword gets stuck in the wall causing me to slide my foot from under him. He falls and power a fire blast at him.

"DO IT, DO IT, DO IT" screams the darkness.

The fire from my hand grows powerful and as newly found power rages through my body. Cosmo's head appears in my head and the fire ball disappears slowly.

Scourge looks at me and starts laughing wickedly.

"HERE COMES THE PAIN, PRINCE BOY" he yells.

He then gets up and shoots sharp ice from the ground. I dodge them and I jump on one. I warm my feet up and fire blasts from it. I run up the wall. Ice spikes hit the wall from behind me as he launches them at me.

Pain in my chest spikes in me hard. My vision goes blurry and I fly from the ice but a ice spike catches my pants leg. I hang upside down as the pain increases. I cough up blood and it hits the floor below me. My pants slowly rip, and I fall to the ground. My chest hits the ground first hard and I gasp for air.

My vision blurs even more causing me to blink my eyes rapidly. My eyes soon focus on a green figure as it walks to me. I move my arms trying to stand but the pain in my chest stabs me and I fall back down to the floor.

The darkness fills my vision and two legs appear before in a red dress. I shakily move my eyes up and I meet with some gold ones.

"Mom" I say weakly.

"Heaven boy, you still are soft as ever even when you have so many opportunities to kill this scum", she says eying me down.

My mother stands in front of me with her red fire kingdom royal dress.

"How… how is this even possible… how are- "

The pain increases causing me to stop talking.

She then kneels and touches my face. She wipes old blood from my face and shakes her head in shame.

"Look at you in pain, avoiding the darkness. …Sonic. When are you ever going to get over this? This man has killed multiple of our people and here you are still afraid to kill him. Stop being so weak!"

She says and hits me in the head.

"Did my lessons do you know good?" she questions as a image of me fighting water benders appear behind her.

She turns around and walks to the image and points at the water bender I took down with my own hands. My breathing starts to pick up as the image starts playing. I launch the water bender over my shoulder, and they pass out. Then my mother yells at me to finish them. I wrap my arms around their neck. I close my eyes as the crack of their neck echoes through the darkness.

"Sonic! Why are you closing your eyes" she yells at me angrily.

"Because they were innocent-"

"THEY WERE THE ENEMY… IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE THAT OUR SOILDERS WOULD HAVE DIED".

The image disappears and then Amelia pops up. My heart beats hard as I see her. She is smiling and her blue eyes are sparklingly in joy.

My mom looks at her while folding her arms.

"And worst of all you fall in love with a princess. The same one birthed by the woman who killed me." She says looking at the image.

"But wow is she so pretty isn't she… how does it feel to fall in love with the enemy? It definely seems like it was just natural to you. Just forget the fire kingdom hm?

"No…mother I- "

"I wonder how the kingdom will think. Their prince, their protector, falling in love with the enemy. Wow a lot of them might be so mad after finding this out when you go home…well if…I am not mad though… you both won't make it out of here alive because you are so afraid to kill someone. Sonic do you understand that? YOU CAN'T KILL ANYONE. So, your crush is nothing for me to get mad over because sooner or later both of you will be dead at this point" she says and lights the image on fire.

I watch as her face disappears and then my mother's feet more to towards my face. She bends down again and her gold one's stare into mine.

"Do you care for her?" she says.

I look at her confused and she places her hand on my face.

"Don't you want to be with her after this is all over", she says looking at me softly.

"… Yes, I do" I say as the pain in my chest eases away from me.

She smiles gently and my eyes widen as that's the first time she has ever looked like she sees me as her son. She places a kiss on my forehead and her eyes go dark.

"Then kill him".

The darkness fades away and my vision starts to come back to focus. I look around and I notice I am covering in a ice dome. Yelling vibrates on the ice dome I am covered in. I punch through it and I pull myself out of it.

"DON'T YOU TOUCH HIM" Amelia says as I look at her on Scourge's back covering his eyes.

Scourge then throws her off of his back and she hits the floor landing on her already broken arm. Amelia yelps out in pain and the darkness fills my veins with a quickness.

"I'll deal with you later" Scourge says and then turns around eyeing me in the face. He chuckles as he sees that I am back up from whatever made me passout.

"Don't let him say anything disrespectful towards you" says the darkness.

I finally agree with it and as Scourge opens his mouth, I run at him and smirks wildly. He makes of a sharp, thick wall of ice blocking me away from him and Amelia who was on the floor. I step on the ice wall, lifting myself up I hop over the wall to see not see him there. I do see Amelia though and she is facing the other way, close to the edge of where the ice-cold water was before. I notice she isn't moving so I walk to her quickly.

"Amelia?" I say as I reach out to touch her. I turn her over and I see her mouth, wrists and ankles are binded with ice. Her eyes are wide to me and she yells at me muffling something. I look at her confused.

"What are you- "

SLASH.

I fall back from Amelia and I raise my hands to my eyes. I scream out in pain as I feel my hands touch a wet liquid. I try to open my eyes, but I can't see.

"AHHH" I yell as I place my hands on my eyes again.

I slam my feet on the ground in pain as my eyes feel like glass just slit them.

"See Ames, I told you. Look how easy it is for you to trick a dumb ass fire bender. Ha-ha now he can't see" Scourges says.

"YOU COWARD! DON'T YOU TOUCH HIM" I hear Amelia yell.

I hear footsteps coming towards but I am not sure where.

"Sonic! Stand up and run back" Amelia yells.

My body jerks up quickly and I stand up blindly, not knowing where I am headed.

My face starts to feel numb from the pain with sharp pains here and there. The blood trickles into my down my neck and causing me to turn around quick. My breath quickens as I forget which way to go.

"Scourge leave him alone!" Amelia yells and I start moving forward again.

I hear something move fast in the wind and I launch fire that way. Something then hits me in the stomach causing me to fall back into something.

"So, are you just going to shoot your fire aimlessly? What if you hit Amelia?" Scourge says.

"Don't listen to him Sonic- "I hear a loud noise causing me to look in that direction. I hear more noises of what sounds like things getting thrown and ice cracking.

It soon gets quiet and then I start to hear footsteps heading towards me. I assume a fighting position to whomever it is.

"Ahhh…. Amelia is that you" I say before I shoot.

I get no response, so I shoot fire forward. I try to listen hard to any other noises, but I can't hear nothing. All I can hear is my pounding chest and my heightened breathing. Suddenly water covers my entire body and I feel my feet lift from the ground. I blow out air in shock and I start swimming up. I swim up and I notice I can't get out.

"Why isn't this water unescapable" I think. I swim down and I notice I can't get out. I start feeling lightheaded as I haven't breathed. I continue to try to swim out but there is no use. I try to hold my breath and then I let it go.

"Amelia… no" I think as I start floating lifelessly. I blank out as the noises of the water move in my ears.

"Amelia… please be okay" I think.

…

"Sonic… I told you to kill him" says my mother's voice.

"I tried. I really did mom. I am still trying… I can't see mom. He cut my eyes and I can't see." I say in distress.

A cold shiver runs along my body as I guess it's my body shutting off because I haven't had oxygen.

"Well it's too early for you to leave earth yet. Grasp onto my hand son" she says softly. I feel her hands wrap against my hands it feels so warm. She starts to hum a song that she hummed for me when I was scared a child. I grip her hand weakly and she pulls me through the water, pressing me against her warm body.

I feel droplets of water hit my cheek as she carries me through the water.

"Sonic… I am sorry for hurting you as a child. I just wanted you to be the best you could be and I realized that after you got hit by that lightening in the forest. I went all out of my way to get revenge for you which just left you alone in world. But I am proud of you son, for finally standing up for yourself". My mom says.

Her words ring in my ears and I move head up to her voice.

I smile softly.

"I forgive you mom."

I feel her squeeze me tight against her.

"Now… go save-"

The water leaves my body and I feel wind kick up in my hair. I hit the ground. I cough the water up and I pick myself up with. I hear a yelling from across the room and I stand up quietly.

"HURTS DOESN'T IT?" Scourge yells.

My ears perk up to the sound and I start walking quiely towards it.

AMY POV

Scourge stomps on my chest for the 4th time creating a crack noise in my ribs. I yell out in pain, but he ignores that by blasting me in the face water. The force causes me to slide across the floor, close to the edge of the big gaping hole.

"I have no strength in my body to do anything" I think as tears appear in my eyes.

"And Sonic is- "

Scourge then moves back over on my back and slams his foot on ribs causing me to wince in pain. He crushes and twists his foot on my chest. He moves his foot and stands over me. I stare at him in pain and a sharp icicle appears in his hand from behind him.

My eyes widen as I try to move but he steps on my shoulder blade making look at him. He brings the sharp icicle back and I close my eyes. A sharp pain goes into my torso and through my back.

I yell out in pain.

"I know it a hurts so bad Ames… but you made this happen. I gave you so many chances and now you are going to die".

I cough up blood from my mouth and I weakly look at him.

"Any last words", he says, and he brings his arms back behind him and two more sharp icicles float behind him.

"Fuck… you" I utter out as blood leaks from the side of my mouth.

He smirks and then brings his arms back more.

"This is it… I didn't even get to say goodbye to anyone. I never should have brought Sonic with me. Sonic could have prevented on what is to come… Oh Sonic. I'm so sorry. I really have taken everything from you. All you wanted was love and I kept pushing you away. I'm sorry,Sonic."

I close my eyes and relax for the ending of life.

"I'm sorry everyone… I'm-"

BOOM!

…

I open my eyes and I look at the hole in Scourges chest.

"What" I say as I see Sonic holding Scourges arms from behind him, with his feet placed on his back. Scourge eyes roll to the back of his head and they both fall to the side. Scourge's body rolls down into the big hole and Sonic almost falls in but stops himself.

I look at him in confusion as is moving.

"Soni-"I start coughing harshly.

"Amelia where are you" he says while patting the ground. I continue to cough roughly causing me to close my eyes. Blood comes from my mouth touching my hand and I look at it.

I feel a warm hand on my leg and then I feel it on my face. I open my eyes to Sonic swollen, damaged ones. His hand touches the blood on my face and his faced go to distressed.

"Amelia… what is this one your face… is this-"

"Yes… its blood" I say weakly. He moves his arm down my body trying to feel if I am okay and he touches the blade. I yell out in pain as it moves slightly.

"I'm sorry… what was tha-"He stops talking as he feels the ice go through my skin and he feels more blood on his hands.

"Am-Amelia you are hu- I'm sorry I didn't- ",

"It's okay Sonic. I say as he slowly moves his hand away from my torso.

"I'm going to get you out of here okay…" he says.

I look at him pain as he can't see.

"Sonic let me heal you with the little power I have left", I say.

"No Amelia you can't you need to save your energy until we can find help". He says and he shakes his head.

"I promised to protect you Amelia. I will do it I swear- "

"Sonic please… let me heal you" I say reaching out to his face. I touch his cheek and he move away from me.

"Amelia you need to save your strength you don't need to-"I cut him off by touching his arm.

"Sonic… you already saved my life once. Just let me heal your eyes so you can see me" I say weakly.

I watch him as he looks unsure.

"Please Sonic" I say reaching out to his face with my good arm.

Sonic slowly leans back, and my hand touches his eyes. I breathe slowly and the green light starts to appear. It grows violently healing his hurt eyes. I cough a little and it causes him to jump. He moves closer to my side and creates his warm heat he always does for me.

I smile softly at him.

"Sonic" I say weakly as I heal him.

"Yes? Are you okay?" he says.

"Don't worry about me. I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry… for this happening to you… everything. If I haven't convinced you to come then this never would have happened to you. I'm not even sure if can heal you properly-" I start to cough and his warm hand touches my face.

"Amelia, I don't care about what happened to me and even if you can't heal me properly. I will still use what you gave me and I will save you. I won't let you die. I promised to protect you" he says.

A tear leaks from my eyes as I feel his eye heal more. His hand searches for my eye and he wipes my tear away.

"He knows me too well already" I think as he wipes my tear.

"Plus… I'm still holding on to after all this is over that we can be together and fight for whatever it is too come.", he says while smiling.

My vision fades a little, but I push to finish healing his eyes.

"I... I want that too Sonic." I say weakly as my I feel my arm about to go limp.

"We can have it. I promise to make it happen for the both of us and everyone".

The green light disappears, and I remove my hand. I look at Sonic still bruised eye lids.

"Okay… open up" I say weakly while dropping my hand to the ice floor.
