SONIC POV

Tails looks at me angrily as he points lighting at Amelia head. I watch his moves carefully wondering what he is going to do next.

"Don't you fucking move, Sonic" Tails says to me.

I stare at him and then I nod my head agreeing.

"I can't put Amelia in danger, so I have to stay calm" I think.

"Okay I won't" I say as I sit back in the bed.

Tails eyes moves away to mine to Amelia's who looks frightened.

"Stand up!" Tails yells causing Amelia eyes to widen. Tails moves his foot from Amelia hurt shoulder and she carefully pushes herself up with her arm that is not bleeding. Amelia slowly stands up and holds her hurt shoulder with the threathingly lighting pointed at her head.

Tails then grabs her pulls her close to him and wraps his arm around her chest, with her back to his body. The lighting in Tails hands disappears and then his eyes move to mine. Tails starts to back up to the window he just broke through with Amelia and Amelia eyes look at mine in fear.

Tails then flies out the window and starts to float outside my room. Amelia yells as she isn't on the ground anymore is simply being held by a simple arm around her body.

This causes me to leap out of the bed and run closer to the window, dodging the glass on the ground. Tails points a finger at Amelia's head and a small fire ball starts to expand at the tip.

I stop moving watching his actions.

"Tails wait… let's just think for a second- "

"You shut the fuck up for once, Sonic. You really thought I was forgot that you brought her back here and for what? Tail says.

I look at Tails for a moment and I think about how to answer.

"Tails she was hurt so I had to bring her here- "

"THEN WHY IS SHE STILL HER! SHE SEEMS FINE TO ME!" Tails yells.

"I'll leave" Amelia says softly.

My eyes move to Amelia as she looks at me.

"That's not the true reason why I am doing this" Tails says looking at me.

"Because I don't have a problem with a water bender being here, but Sonic does, right?" Tails says eyeing me.

"Oh, but maybe it's different for her? Maybe you adapted some feelings for her? HAVE YOU SONIC?" Tails says and the fire at his finger starts to intense.

"Tails… just let her go, this has nothing to do- "

"YOU KNOW THIS HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH HER SONIC. SO, TELL ME DO YOU HAVE FEELINGS FOR HER?"

I look at Amelia who mouths "don't say it" but what she doesn't know is that Tails was the first to know that I had feelings for her. When I kissed her forehead, Tails was somewhere in that treehouse and saw me do that too her.

I open my mouth to speak but I hesitate.

"What happens if I say I do"? I think as I look at Amelia and then back to Tails.

"SAY IT! I KNOW YOU DO" Tails yells pushing the fire closer to her head.

"… I… I do" I say softly.

Tails face changes to more furious than ever. He moves his finger to her thigh and blasts fire through it causing Amelia to scream in pain as another hole is created on her body. Tails covers her mouth as cutting off her scream. Darkness fills my vision and I move closer to them. I step up on the seat next to the window and Tails moves his hand from Amelia's mouth and his lightning comes back full blast threathingly Amelia again to be quiet.

"DON'T COME ANY CLOSER" Tails yells.

"TAILS, I'LL TEAR YOU TO SHREDS FOR THAT", I yell feeling my heat blast from me.

Amelia leg starts to leak blood causing tears to prick in her eyes in pain.

"Don't come near us." Tails says darkly.

"Tails. Let her go" I say wanting to snap Tails in half.

"No. Let's continue to expose more secrets, hm?" Tails says and the looks at Amelia.

"Secrets?"

"Princess. I bet you are wondering why I am hurting you in front of Sonic" Tails says.

Amelia winces in pain not being able to respond.

"When me and Sonic were in high school, he killed my girlfriend in front of my face with no remorse. Because the rules of the fire kingdom are that NO WATER BENDER or ANY OTHER BENDER BESIDES FIRE CAN BE HERE" Tails says, and he looks back up to me.

Amelia eyes move to Tails and then to mine shock.

"Isn't that right Sonic?" Tails says looking at me in amusement.

I look at him and then Amelia.

"It was an order from my mom… She gave me two choices it was either to kill one of them breaking the rules or she would kill both of them instead if I couldn't do it. I had no choice but kill his girlfriend because I couldn't kill him"

Cosmos body appears in my mind causing me to close my eyes in shame.

"I… I didn't want to kill you Tails… I didn't have a choice- "

"YOU DID HAVE A CHOICE AND YOU TOOK AWAY AN INNOCENT LIFE" Tails yells.

"Tell her who it was though… I am sure Amelia knows her" Tails says.

My heart pounds hard and causing me to shake my head.

"I can't- "I say afraid about how Amelia would think of me after I told her.

"She would hate me forever"

"Tell her or I blast this lightening through her head" Tails says.

Amelia looks at me in confusion as I confess to things, I never thought I would have to talk about.

"Tails- "

"SAY IT!"

I clench my fists and I look to the ground.

"She was a water bender… her name was Cos… Cosmo" I say lowly.

"Cosmo… you killed Cosmo? She was a spy for us and a close mentor for me…" Amelia says quickly.

I look at her face and its filled with shock.

"No… there is no way you- "

Amelia starts to shake her head and then she looks me differently, causing my heart to jump.

"Amelia, wait. I didn't have a choice. I… I never wanted to kill any water benders. Never. I promise but my mother she- She caused me to do things I never wanted to do. I swear I never wanted to kill a water bender or any- "

Tears start to stream down Amelia face.

"How many have you killed" Amelia asks in an angry tone.

I heart thumps in fear.

"Amelia, it doesn't matter because I was forced- "

"Answer the question" Tails says enjoying seeing me in a panic.

"…Amelia you don't want to know. It's not important- "

"Sonic, just say it" she says in a hurt tone.

The darkness from my vision starts to disappear and I clench my fist.

"…17" I say softly.

I avoid Amelia face expression by looking off. Silence fills the room as I am looked upon in shame.

"And who even knows if it's really 17! Sonic blacks out all the time during the adventures he went on with his mother. 17 doesn't even include the other kinds of benders you came across as well… doesn't Sonic?" Tails says.

I look up at Tails angrily and my heat blasts causing Amelia to wince at the heat.

"You got what you wanted! So, put her down now!" I say angrily.

"Who said I was done. I am not about to let you have a water bender here if I couldn't have one here years ago." Tails looking at me like I am stupid.

"I challenge you. Agni Kai." He says looking me up and down.

I answer without a second thought.

"Fine. I am tired of talking about this shit. What is your offer?" I say as I start to strength the arm that was sure to go across his face once we start fighting.

"If you win. I will let her go, heal her and drop the situation of you killing my girlfriend." He says readjusting his grip on Amelia.

"But if you lose… I am throwing her out of the kingdom and letting everyone know the truth about what is happening"

"Fine." I say

"Follow" Tails says taking off into the sky, into who knows where.

I jump out of the broken window and I fly towards Tails, trailing behind him. I notice Tails is flying in the kingdom causing me to become more confused of this plan of his. We fly over many houses of sleeping citizens. We soon come close to the central of town and Tails lands near a water fountain. I land a little far from him keeping my distance. He drops Amelia roughly on the ground with her back resting on a building. He points at her saying something. Amelia nods her head in agreement and her eyes meet mine. They soon move away from my gaze as she looks off.

"She is mad at me again… but this time I don't know if I can fix it" I think as I look away from her.

Tails walks up to me leaving Amelia far behind him so she wouldn't get hit in some of the crossfire.

"So, this is your battleground. The town central… so you can expose me, right?" I asked not being fazed about town people seeing me fight Tails.

"Yup you are right. You finally are using your head for something" he says causing me to walk closer to him.

"Last rule. Since we are both important to the kingdom. Me being a medical scientist and you being a lying piece of shit everyone loves. The first person to get knocked out wins" He says.

I smirk and shake my head at his idea.

"What makes you so sure you can win" I say as the darkness fills my vision as I am about to fight.

All I can see is Tails. Nothing else.

"Because I would never be like you Sonic" Tails says and charges at me first.

I watch his movements running out me first and I dodge the first punch easily. I step back dodging and I send me knee to his stomach causing him to bend over in pain. Suddenly I notice a spark a light appears from him bending over. I jump back and then he shoots a blast of lightning at where he thought I was. I watch the lightning hit a building causing some bricks to fall from it.

I turn back and I chuckle a bit.

"I thought the deal was to knock me out", I say laughing.

"Well you would have lived because I didn't put that much power in that blast to kill you, but you wouldn't know that because you haven't obtained the ability yet" he says.

Tails then runs at me and lightning forms in his hand again this time spreading to his arm. I look back trying to keep my distance from his very bright hand. Tails swings at me and I dodge swiftly. I swipe from under his legs causing him to fall. Tails falls on his back but shoots his lightning out again causing me to jump back. As I am dodging, I swing my arm back and bring down forward to Tails head with fire boosting my speed.

Tails rolls out the way just in time and I slam my fist into the pavement creating a hole into the ground. As Tails tries to stand up, I shoot a big blast of fire at him. Tails notices the sudden heat coming so he forms a sharp dome around him making the fire hit the dome in the process. I stop blasting my fire and I notice the dome opens on the side and a fire blast heads towards Amelia.

Amelia eyes widen as the fire comes near her.

I blast fire from my feet trying to race the fire and I make in front of it. I punch the fire with a harder force than how it was coming causing it to disappear into thin air.

"Amelia is off limits!" I say looking Tails angrily.

Tails stands slowly and laughs.

"Who said I was trying to harm her? She just happened to be there"

"I know the dumb shit you are trying to pull"

I think and I look back to Amelia who was looking at me with in concern. A wave of heat comes, and I turn around to see a big blast of heat coming our way quickly. I turn around and I scoop Amelia up, dodging the blast just in time. The blast crashes through the small, empty, brick, building causing it to fall.

I run away, going down into town square with Amelia in my arms. I fly up to a tall building to place Amelia down. Amelia suddenly pushes me out of her arms causing me to look at her in confusion. Amelia stumbles as her leg is still hurt but I catch her in the process. I lean Amelia down to her butt and she snatches her hands away from me.

"Don't touch me" Amelia says obviously upset.

My heart breaks in two at her words and I kneel down to her.

"Amelia, can we please talk about this later" I say pleading to her.

Her eyes move away from mine and causing me to reach out for her hand. She notices and scoots back carefully making sure not to hurt her leg. I don't move closer to her this time, so she won't have to move her injured body.

"Look, I'm not the same person I use to be- "

Amelia looks up with me with tears brimming at her eyes as the moon reflects on them. Wind picks up causing her black hair to soar in the air.

"You never told me you killed people Sonic. I thought we were on the same path and wanted the same thing but you- "

"Amelia, I do want the same things. That's why I am trying to change it so no one will have to go through what I have been through" I say looking at her.

"Why didn't you tell me, that you did all of that… but I bet I should have guessed after what you did to Axel." Amelia says looking at me like I am some stranger.

"What… what are you saying? You think I am some monster?" I say.

Amelia looks at me for some time and then looks away.

"I don't know what you are anymore, Sonic" she says moving more away from me.

I watch her actions and I stand up in disbelief.

"… So, she doesn't know what I am anymore. I thought if I changed, I could leave everything in the past. But look at all this stuff happening. Just more and more past bullshit bringing brought up that I have no responsibility for" I think as anger starts to boil in me.

"I have changed! Why can't no one see that! What do I have to do to get that across to people and now Amelia doesn't even trust me anymore?" I think as I look back to Amelia who looking at me with concern.

Suddenly Tails appears from behind Amelia with a quickness causing me to step forward. Tails then blasts past Amelia making me stop and tackles me off the roof. He punches me in the face causing me to wince as we fall down. I hit the ground and he land on the ground beside me.

"Wow, you are really trying to convince her you have changed" Tails says rubbing his fist that just got connected to my face.

I slowly open my eyes and I notice the world is a bit dizzy causing me to fall over a bit. I start to hear his footsteps causing me to try to stand up.

"Come on Sonic. Focus."

I hear a voice says causing me to blink a couple of times. The taste of blood hits my tongue causing me to spit it out.

"Uh oh! Looks like Sonic is close to being knocked out soon. Based on your way of moving it seems like you just need one more hit so your brain can hit your skull again" Tails says cracking his knuckles.

I shake my head and the dizziness stops. I hear more footsteps heading my way fast and I look at Tails. He swings his foot at my head, and I jump back dodging it. My back runs into a chair knocking over a clay pot that was on the table in front of it. Tails throws another foot at me and I duck it.

"Sonic just lose already! She isn't going to be with you after this!" Tails yells.

I look into his eyes after his comment.

"Is she not going to be with me?"

I look up back to the roof from where I just fell from and I see her face looking down at the fight.

"Do you hate me now… Amelia?"

Tails throws another blast at me and I send one back causing him to finally give me some space. I flip back and I blast at him throwing him off guard. I jump on his body and I slam my head into his causing him to wince in pain.

"Even if she does hate me forever, I will still keep my promise to change this world "I say.

Tails move his hands, but I grab his wrist holding him down. I slam my forehead against his again. Blood appears on both of our foreheads as I raise up. Tails moves his leg and pushes me off of him, he then quickly sends a slash of fire, that I break easily with my fire.

I roll back and I hit someone behind me causing me to look at them. An older woman holds her broken pot and looks at me with concern as my forehead bleeds.

"Prince Sonic? What on earth is going on" She asks me.

"Agni Kai is going on right now, please stand back" I say making sure she doesn't get hurt with Tails aimlessly fighting.

"No. What Sonic meant to say was that he has been lying to all of you" Tail says.

I turn back to Tails and I charge at him. Tails eyes widen and he shoots fire at me. I dodge smoothly I throw my fist at him. Tails blocks it as my fist connects with his forearm causing him to wince in pain. Tails then backs up and takes off to the sky. I grab on his ankle the last minute as he flies away.

He notices and tries to shake me his ankle as we fly back towards town central. Tails shoots a fire blast out of his foot and it burns my shoulder in the process. I let go of his arm and I shoot a blast at him he dodges it in the air, and it hits a stone statue of my grandfather. I also look around and I notice that more villagers are out than before watching us fight.

Tails sends a big blast of fire at me and I fly over it. I send my foot down at Tails and he catches it. Tails and I crash into the pavement. I foot slams into Tails ribs causing him to cry out in pain. A crowd starts to surround us and pointing at me and Tails in confusion.

"Sonic!" I hear a voice says and I look back to see Knuckles staring at his too best friends bleeding from the forehead. Knuckles steps forward but I hold my hand out for him to stop.

"It's an Agni Kai. Don't intervene." I say.

Everyone steps back at my commands, respecting Agni Kai which is a traditional fire bender duel that is centuries old. It is a fight honor and is only won based on the terms that were made between the fighters. I step off of Tails body and he slowly stands up holding his ribs in the process.

I soon notice that the sun was rising from its rest as it peaks a bit making the dark blue sky, orange.

Tails spits blood from his mouth and points at me.

"This is the end" he says.

I say nothing in response and the darkness fills my vision once more.

"Beat him into the ground so none of your citizens knows not to duel you ever again" says the darkness.

I move on instinct, not giving him another chance to recover freely again. I punch at Tails and he catches my fist. I then send my leg at his ribs and he releases my hand dodging it. Tails blast fire at me and I throw fire back. His fire blends in mine as we try to up each other's fire.

"He is trying to up me in fire strength, but he knows that I am stronger than him power wise… so what is he planning" I think, and I increase my fire power consuming his tenfold.

I soon hear feet and Tails appears from under my arms and tries to uppercut me. I stop blasting fire and I dodge it barely. Tails eyes widen as he notices his trick didn't work and I blast my hand at his neck and I choke-slam him to the ground.

People from around us gasp and cheer around us as I take Tails down. Tails head hits the ground hard, but he moves his right hand and sends a lightning strike at me. I dodge by moving my head to the side and I pull my fist back aiming for his face. Fire form at my fist and I send it down at him. Tails eyes widen and he flinches freighting.

I stop as a Tail's in kindergarten being bullied by other kids pops up in my mind. I would always beat them up for him and get in trouble later. Not that it would matter because he was my first friend.

"He was the first person I protected" I think.

I stop my fist before I hit him in the face. Tails opens his eyes slightly in confusion in why I didn't hit him.

"I can't do it. I can't hurt him" I think causing me to drop my fist.

"Why… why didn't you hit me" Tails says.

"Tails, I couldn't hurt you." I say releasing my grip from his neck.

Tails eyes look at mine in confusion. I stand up straitening my back. I extend my hand for Tails to take.

"Let's just drop this" I say sincerely.

Tails looks at my hand carefully and then takes it slowly. I pull him up and then he stands on his feet. He looks me in the eye and smiles a bit. I smile back and open my mouth to say something.

"I'm- "

"WHAM!"

AMY POV

I gasp as I watch Sonic spin and fall to the ground flat on his stomach. Tails drop a piece rock from the ground that came from the statue while watching Sonic fall. The crowd gasps echoes from where I am watching, and I watch as Sonic doesn't budge. Tails walk over and kicks at Sonic body seeing if he is awake, but he doesn't move.

"Sonic…"

Tails moves away from Sonic and Tails holds his hand in the air causing the crowd to get silent.

"This was an Agni Kai, if you haven't heard the prince say that. Our bet was that if I win I still the crowd a big secret that our PRINCE has been hiding from us since he left!" Tails yells.

His eyes then meet mine as he turns his head to me. I notice that some of the crowd is looking the same direction and I duck immediately.

"Maybe if I hide somewhere. I can make it out of here"

I look around to see if I could hide somewhere. I crawl on the roof to the other to look for a ladder until I hear someone fly over me. I look up and I see that Tails is looking at me in amusement as the morning light shines on him.

"Trying to leave? That's very impolite" Tails says.

He moves towards me and I scoot back.

"You made your point to him… please stop- "he cuts me off by grabbing my leg and pulling me closer.

Luckily, I healed my arm while they were fighting but not my leg. I move up to pry his hands away from my leg and he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder, before I have time to respond he zooms back to the crowd. I start to see bodies and I cover my face up with my hair making sure they can't see me. Tails throws me onto the ground causing me to wince. I slowly raise my back up from the ground and I hold my leg in pain. I look around and I see many faces looking into mine. My eyes move to Sonic unconscious body causing me to panic a bit. His head was busted harshly, and he will definitely need stiches.

I look around and I see Knuckles staring me in shock. My eyes move back to Sonic's and then to Knuckles.

"I am sorry" I mouth to Knuckles who looks to shocked to do or say anything.

"This is all my fault" I think.

"This is what Sonic has been hiding from us." Tails says to the crowd.

"And you probably can't notice her because of the hair dye but this here is the princess of the water kingdom" Tails says.

The crowd starts to talk in confusion as they don't see how it is me.

"SONIC!" I hear someone in the crowd say and they start to push through.

I look and I see Blaze running out to Sonic picking up his head gently.

"Oh my god, Tails what did you do" Blaze says as Sonic blood leaks onto her hand.

"I am exposing the truth" Tails says he then walks to me and I start to back up.

He reaches for my hair and yanks me up. Holding my hair up he shows everyone the back of my neck. Gasps increase causing me to look around in confusion.

"You missed a spot with the dye" Tail says lowly showing my hair to everyone.

"It's the princess of the water kingdom" says a voice.

"Why is she here"

"Well it's obvious that the prince let her in"

"Mommy! I am scared"

"The prince lied to us"

Random people in the crowd continue to talk as I am revealed upon everyone. Tails then drops me to the ground again.

"The prince has been lying to us ever since he left. Sonic left the kingdom to help the princess defeat a someone who was attacking the fire kingdom. Sonic did not do this by himself as he was escorted with her the entire time. Sonic brought the enemy in our safe kingdom!" he says.

"What is this nonsense" says another voice coming from the crowd.

My eyes widen as I see Sonic royal guard captain looking around. His eyes meet Sonic and he moves to him quickly. Tails stops him for doing so and points at me.

"Before you go baby him. Look at the prize he brought home behind your back"

Cheyenne looks at my eyes and then they widen as he recognizes who I am.

"Princess of the water kingdom… Amelia" he says.

His eyes go gold and a blast heat pushes on my causing me to fall back and shield myself. Cheyenne moves and grabs my wrist roughly. The heat from causes me to sink lower and cough as the air is so hot.

"Wait" Tails says walking up to Cheyenne.

"What is there to wait for! She is the- "

"Yes, I know. But our bet isn't over yet" Tails says.

Cheyenne heats disappears and I gasp for air. Tails moves towards me and grabs my wrist. He starts to pull me on the ground and speaks into the crowd as many eyes watch me.

"Let me go!" I say, and he ignores me in the process

"Let's make an example out of the princess about how us fire benders really are" Tails says loudly.

My eyes widen as the crowd starts to yell and calling me things. The crowd moves towards me and I watch in fear. A younger girl kicks me in the ribs as someone else throws a liquid at my head as I passed people.

"We should just kill her here" yells a man causing me to flinch.

People start to hit me and throw things at my body until we make it to a what looks like the entrance of the kingdom. Tails drags me out further and the crowd stops watching us from afar.

I wince in pain from the hits and Tails drops my arm.

I breathe heavily and then Tails walks around me and stands over my body. He then leans closer to me and I look at him in the eyes. His gold eyes change back to blue and he moves his finger to my stomach.

"Make it back home safely" he says.

Tails shoots another fire beam through my stomach this time causing me to scream in pain. He then stands up and walks away leaving me to the new hole in my torso.

"Ahh" I say in pain as my skin is ripped through. I feel lightheaded as the pain increases and I lean my head back staring at the sky.

"I can't pass out… I'll die… I'll bleed out. Everything will be for nothing" I say.

I slowly try to raise myself so I could make it back home. I couldn't die. Not now.

I surprisingly make it to my feet, and I take a few steps holding my wound. My warm blood leaks through my fingers causing me to walk a bit faster. The lightheadedness comes again, and I stumble into a tree. I lean onto the tree breathing heavily trying to calm down.

"I've lost to much blood. Even after I healed myself that wasn't enough time for my body to catch up from the blood loss", I say weakly. I blink slowly and I continue to walk as the world spins. I move into the trees moving tree to tree until I reached my home. I walk through the forest for 20 mins and then, the pain rings through my shoulder causing me to stop walking and fall onto my knee.

I look up and I start to crawl more into the woods. I stare at the floor and it starts to spin as well.

"I can't die here… not now. Please body, don't stop me" I plead as I try to stand. I fall back onto my knees and I breathe heavily. My head starts to feel fuzzy and my arm goes weak from crawling. My body hits the ground and I start to feel cold.

"Please. I can't" I say out loud.

I start to move my feet scooting myself on the ground.

"I refuse to die here. I… I promised my mom and everyone that I would protect them. I can't die here" I think as I drag my body inch by inch on the ground. A tear fills in my eye as I struggle to move any longer.

Energy leaves my body as I am sure that have lost to much blood to move. I blink slowly losing conscious.

"I can't… di...e" I say breathing slower.

My eyes start to feel very heavy and I close them slowly. Wind then hits my face causing me to open my eyes weakly. I see 4 legs moving to me causing me to look up at them. The sun is shining brightly as I can't see their faces. I feel one move me onto my back and lift me from the ground.

"...ey, ca… hear me" says a deep voice.

I can barely understand them, but I notice that I am moving quickly to the forest.

"Sh..a..ow… I don't think…. hear us" Says another voice that wasn't as deep as the other one.

I feel my eyes become heavy again and I shut them. I feel a slight shaking causing me to open my eyes weakly.

"Do you know your name" says the voice clearly.

I open my mouth weakly.

"Princess… Amelia" I say.

My head hits the persons chest as they carry me, and I start to dose off again. I hear vibrations of the conversations, but I can't understand a thing.

"They asked for my name, so they aren't my people. So, who are they and where are they taking me? Hopefully it's not the equalist getting revenge… "I think and then I pass out in the random stranger's arms as the mysterious wind continues to hit my face.
