PAST AMY POV
"Come on, Amy. Ten more reps!" Yells Cosmo as she watches me struggle once again with simple pull ups.
I strain to pull myself up but then my hands slip, and I fall straight on my butt. I wince in pain as I rub my back and Cosmo walks up to me laughing.
"Amy… princesses have to be a lot stronger than that. Come on! Let's finish them together!" Cosmo says jumping on the bar exposing her strong biceps in her arms.
I frown at her and I fold my arms as I was watching Cosmo do things with ease.
"Cosmo I am not as strong as you" I say getting up and walking up to Cosmo.
Cosmo jumps down and frowns at me.
"That's right you aren't, but you are strong in your own way! Never compare yourself to anyone. Envy is the killer of happiness."
I groan at the advice Cosmo gives me and she laughs. She pats me on the back and pushes me to the pull up bar.
"Come on! Let's kill these last ten!" Cosmo says jumping on the pull up bar.
I nod my head and then I jump on the bar with her.
"Okay let's do this!" Cosmo says and I sigh.
I pull myself up and Cosmo watches my pace as we continuously pull ourselves up, gaining muscle strength. As we go, I can't help but to admire Cosmo's drive.
Cosmo has been placed to teach and train me since she was one of the strongest water benders in the kingdom. My mom asked her nicely to train me and at first, I was against it but now… I want to be just like her.
"Six! Come on Amy! Four more!" Cosmo yells as I struggle to do anymore.
"She was just so intelligent and brave… more than I have seen besides my mother which is why I want to learn as much as I can"
I finish my last pull up and I hit the ground as my arms burn like fire. Cosmo pats me on the back and then picks me up.
"NOW LET'S GO KILL THIS MILE!" Cosmo yells and I look at her with fear.
"Wa-wait I can't feel my arms- "
Cosmo water bends the moisture from the air and tiny droplets from all around us in a globe like shape. I look around in awe as I watch all the water she controlled in thin air. I touch one of the droplets and then I look back to Cosmo. A small water droplet suddenly smacks me in the back of the head.
"Ow" I say looking at Cosmo.
"Life isn't meant to be easy; it's meant to lived. Sometimes happy, other times rough… But every ups and downs, you learn lessons that make your strong" Cosmo says.
Another water droplet heads for me in the corner of my eye and I duck dodging and Cosmo laughs at me.
"See look! You are already learning! Ooo! And maybe one day you can learn how to make water from the air" Cosmo says.
"Can I learn it now?" I say excitedly, awaiting for her to teach me her ways.
"Not today Princess!" Cosmo says and drops all the water around her to the ground.
"Unless… you do this entire mile without stopping" Cosmo says.
"WATCH ME!" I say and I start to take off down the field, to a pole, that Cosmo placed so I could run miles back and forth.
"She is right. If I want to get better than I need to realize that nothing is easy.
I charge down the field faster as I lift my head feeling more inspired than ever.
"I'll get stronger! I promise- "
PRESENT DAY
I open my eyes up as humid air hits my nostrils as I take a deep breath of air. I slowly move my head to the right of me as I look the area I am at.
I am in a wooden room. The floors are wooden, ceiling is wooden, and even the closed door in front of me is wooden. I stare at the door and then I look down to my legs. I notice a bandage is wrapped around it and that I also have socks on.
"When did I have socks on- "
I suddenly remember everything that has happened.
Everything.
I stare at the wooden ceiling for answers for anything after what happened at the fire kingdom. My stomach turns as I think about Sonic and I clench my hands together. I feel tears prickle at my eyes and then one streams down my face as I feel overwhelmed.
"I… I can't think."
I sniffle as I stare at the ceiling and then I move at my wrist and I notice that it is stuck. I lean my head up and I notice that I am tied down to this table I am on. I pull at the rope tied to my arms and they don't budge. I push myself up only for me to feel pain in my stomach region. I wince and then the memory of when Tails shot me in the stomach reappears. I frown in anger as I realize that he tried to kill me.
"That son of a bitch!" I think as I push myself up ignoring the pain and sitting up on my butt.
Anger bursts through me as my tears run down my face.
I shrug hard at the table, holding me down, making a shelf behind me fall and making a bottle of something blue hit the ground. The noise makes me look around as I made a noise and my eyes hit something outside.
"Is that… trees and mist?" I think and then I lean down to get a look of the area I was in.
"Where…where am I- "
I stop talking as I hear footsteps from outside the wooden hut. I instantly use the moisture in the air to make a sharp ice sickle to cut the rope. I start to the rope with my hands as the footsteps come faster.
"I don't know where I am. And who is outside, but someone got me here. It might be the Equalist again" I think I run the blade faster on the rope feeling it loosen.
The footsteps stop causing me to listen carefully and I notice that another has been added to the unknown area I am in. I look down to the glass that broke, and I stare at it and then back to the door. I drop the sharp ice I was using and then I use more water from the moist of the air to try to bring the glass to me. The water gently picks up the glass, but it comes up slowly as all I can move is my fingers.
"Come on. Come on" I think as the glass comes up slow.
I look back to the door and I try to focus on the noises and water bending. It final makes it to my hands I grab it carefully. I flip the glass around and in one strong sweep I cut the rope right off. I hold the glass and then I hear the doorknob move. I look around for any way to get out, but I don't see anything.
"Shit!" I think as I swing my head back to the door.
I lay back down on the table with my hands in the same position, hiding the glass and I close my eyes trying to pretend that I am still asleep. The door opens and I hear a gasp. The footsteps move faster, and I feel a person standing right beside me. I hear them shuffle causing me to peak my eye open. As they bend down the last thing, I see of them is that they are silver, and a man based on his slim muscular build. I close my eyes quickly as I watch his back rise up.
I hear the mysterious silver man move away from me and I hear the glass hit, some kind of container. He sighs and the walks back over to me. I try to contain my breathing as I feel eyes being burned into my body. Suddenly I feel his hand touch my thigh and I squeeze my teeth as he unwraps the bandage causing him to touch a great bit of my thigh. His hand slides up more my thigh and I try to contain my blush as he checks on my leg.
"This random guy touching me… he might have saved me. Maybe I should just drop this blade of glass and talk to him… he might be- "
Sonic appears in my mind causing me to grip the blade tighter.
"No… I can't trust random people anymore. I can't." I think and then I open my eyes and grab the guy touching my leg and I put him in a choke hold pressing the glass on his neck. I cover his mouth before he yells.
"Don't talk and stop moving." I say and he does so exactly.
I slowly remove my hand from his mouth and stands still.
I push him forward a bit and a pain from my leg radiates in it and I try to ignore as I hold the stranger hostage.
"Wait, your leg- "
I stand up in pain and slam the silver hedgehog on the wall and he winces as his head hits the wood.
"I said no talking." I say, and he nods his head.
I look at the back of his head and I notice that he is a lot taller than me and that he was squatting a bit so that I could hold him by the throat. I also look at his clothes and I notice he has on a light blue shirt and some light brown pants with sandals.
I stop looking at him as I hear the floor creak and I see a black hedgehog looking at me. I turn around and I drip the silver hedgehog closer.
"Don't." I say and the black hedgehog stops moving and looks at me.
I look him over and notice that he is in great shape as well. He has on a green tank top and some black shorts with his hands in his pockets.
"Damn… I thought I was being as quiet as possible, but these floors are so old. I have to get them changed" he says causing me to look at him confused.
"Shadow! I told you the floors needed to be changed yesterday and you didn't listen to me." The silver hedgehog says.
"Really… damn I really should have listened to you. Actually, this entire place should be re-done" The black shadow says walking closer to me while touching the roof with his long arm.
I scoot back with the silver hedgehog and Shadows eyes flickers to mine. He then sits on the bench and continues to watch me.
"Why… why are they acting like this. I have his friend hostage and he is looking at me like I won't hurt him- "
"You looked a lot better when you weren't holding a knife to my friend, right there" he says.
I step back more, and I feel a light breeze brush against my face. The silver hedgehog stops moving back with me and holds his hand out in front of him.
"Shadow! Do not do that!" He yells at the black hedgehog and the black hedgehog looks at him confused.
"Do what? Help him? Or maybe I am missing out on something" I think as I try to hold Silver down, but his height was making it very hard.
"Do what? All I am doing is sitting down watching show." He says and looks away from us and looks around the room.
"You know what I mean!" Silver says back moving forward.
My thigh hurts in pain causing me to lose my grip and fall to the ground. The silver hedgehog turns around and crouches to me.
"Hey are you alright- "
"BOOM! CRACK!"
I feel my body collide right out of the house as a random force of air pushes me through it with a force. My leg screams out in agony as I hit the ground and I roll a bit. I stop rolling and I grab my leg in pain. I breathe out shakily and I realize that I have to get up.
"How did I just get flung out of that hut, like that?"
I slowly place my hand on the dirt ground, and I push myself up slowly. I soon feel wind surround me and my hair starts to flow back. I look up to see the black hedgehog land in front of me.
"Air-airbending" I think as the wind soon fades away.
I look up at him and he stares at me with his hands in his pockets. He then crouches down and tilts his head at me. I scoot back but my leg causes me to stop.
"See. Look how much better you look when you aren't holding people hostage" he says to me.
The silver hedgehog appears soon appears, coming the ground and landing in front of me.
"Wa-wait Shadow! She is just confused." The silver hedgehog says, and Shadow shakes his head.
"No, she was trying to hurt you… weren't you?" He asks and I look at him puzzled.
"What… what does this guy want me to tell him. I was obviously trying to hurt him."
I look at him carefully and I scoot back, trying to ignore my leg. He scoffs and then stands up, stretching his arms. The silver hedgehog then gets in Shadow's face and shadow looks at him annoyingly.
"I just told you she was confused. You attacking her when she is obviously weak isn't right. Plus, the way she acted was normal. Who knows what she went through when we found her at the fire kingdom?" He says and Shadow ignores him trying to move past him and then the silver hedgehog stands in his way causing a burst of wind to come from Shadow.
"Stop Shadow. There is no reason for you to do anything to her.
" he says and then a wind starts to pick up from the silver hedgehog.
Shadow removes one hand from his pocket and walks closer to the silver hedgehog.
"Silver. Silver. She threated me with your life. I think she deserves what is coming to her. We said we would take her in if she didn't cause in trouble to the clan and we aren't even there yet and she held a blade to your throat… I won't let her near them." Shadow says.
"Them? So, there are more…"
I look around trying to look where I am, and I notice that I see tree in the distance, but the distance was… down a mountain that I was on.
"A mountain… just, where am I?" I think then Shadow moves his hand quickly and a sharp sweep of wind comes at me. Silver deflects it by hitting it and the wind doesn't touch me.
"Silver you are pissing me off." Shadow says moving closer to his face but Silver refuses to move.
"Like I said. There is no reason for you to harm her. She is already hurt!" he yells, and the wind picks up causing me to shield my eyes as leaves and pebbles start to fly around me from the vortex they were creating.
"I don't care." Shadow says and then the wind picks up full power.
The wind they create start to into a tall twister and it continues to grow rapidly. Branches from trees and anything in the forest starts to get winded up in the twister they were creating. I scoot back as I almost feel myself get pulled into it.
Suddenly it stops and their two bodies blast over my head and into the sky. I duck quick as the loud noise of them moving fast causing me to cover my ears. I slowly lean my head up and I watch them fight each other in the air. Throwing fists at each other and wind. I watch in awe as I have never seen… air benders fight that way. The sounds of the wind hitting each other hurts my ears as they fly into my ears.
I soon hear a big boom and I look up as I see Silver fly the opposite way. Shadow then shoots himself to me and to me and the air pushes me back in causing me to fall into a bush. The wind stops and I open my eyes to see Shadow walking to me.
"His hands are still in his pockets… what is this guy- "
"You look afraid." He says to me and removes his hand in a sweeping motion.
I cover myself in an ice dome quickly only for it to get broken into pieces. I watch my ice fly onto the floor.
"Wow… nice defense… you won't dodge this one though" he says and takes another hand, out of his pocket.
"Wait" I say, and he stops looking at me like I am an insect.
"… I… I didn't know you two were trying to save me, but if you want to leave then I will… I'll go. I will act like I never saw this place." I say and Shadow chuckles.
"See and I thought about that. Why was the princess of Asendel at the fire kingdom? Hm? Maybe they are working together secretly or maybe you are a trader of your kingdom? The options it could it be after we saved your life… but after that stunt you pulled in that room… I think I know my answer." he says and starts to walk closer to me again.
I push myself self-back into the bush and I notice that I can't move back anymore.
"That's not true. I was there trying to create peace in the world- "
I stop talking as Shadow throws another sharp slice of wind at me, but it hits the ground. Inches away from my feet and I look at the ground as it is sliced perfectly.
He starts to walk closer and then I stare at him as he towers over me.
"Well, that's a good argument but… they kicked you out, so really everything you still say could be lie, hm?" He says and clasps his hands together.
"Either way… we can't have you here." He says and then creates a big orb of air.
The big orb of air makes my hair fly as I watch him. He steps closer to me and I try to move back but he steps on my foot making sure I can't move. I grab his foot to remove it, but it is no use.
"This won't hurt but when you wake up from it you will be far away from here" Shadow says causing me to flinch as the orb becomes stronger.
Shadow then moves quickly and aims for my head and I shut my eyes.
Another blast of air flies over my head and I open my eyes to see Silver pushing Shadow back with his hands in his. Silver struggles a. bit to push Shadow back and Shadow goes full force causing Silver to grunt.
"Challenging me again?" Shadow says and Silver grunts.
"I told you… to leave her alone… she isn't the PROBLEM." Silver says and then blows air at Shadows body making Shadow jump back.
"I don't want her here- "
"And that's not your decision to make now! This is the princess of Asendel. We can't just kill her. Are you crazy- "
Shadow walks up to Silver and Silver moves his arms out protecting me.
"We ask Tikal!" Silver says and Shadow stops.
He looks at Silver for a moment and then looks at me.
"Fine." He says and he places his hands back in his pocket.
The wind subsides and Shadow starts to walk away from Silver and me. I watch him walk away and then he stops.
"But if Tikal says she can't be there… I am blasting her off this mountain myself." Shadow says and starts to walk again disappearing into the mist.
Silver scoffs and turns around to me. He blushes a bit and hands out his hand.
"Sorry about that. I'm Silver, nice to meet you princess"
"Hello…" I say still confused about everything that has happened so far.
I take his hand and shakes and then lets it go. He reaches for me and I let him pick me up from under my arms. I try to stay off of my leg.
"Ya know, it was kind of hard to see if you were really the princess or not based on the black in your hair, but we found pink hair in your head so that explained it all!" Silver says cheerfully.
"Right... um. Thank you for saving me and I am sorry for threating you." I say and bow my head.
He shakes his head and wraps his around my side to support me as we walk where Shadow walked.
"It's fine really. If I was you, I would have acted the same way… we don't usually take in random people but in your case, you aren't that random" Silver says causing me to smile a bit.
"Did… did you two save me." I ask and Silver nods his head.
"Yeah, we did but looks, like some of us aren't on the same page, we were on when we found you. You were hurt pretty bad and really out of it."
I look down to my leg and I think about when Tails shot me. I touch it carefully and then I flinch.
"Hey. Hey easy. Stitching you together wasn't that great, so you definitely are going to be experiencing some pain" Silver says moves my hand from my leg.
"Seems like this guy has done a lot for me since I have been knocked out. Maybe I could trust him just a little bit more than Shadow"
"We should head to the palace though. I could actually use my tools to fix you up better since you are still in pain" he says.
"Where is that" I ask before I get taken into somewhere random, since I already didn't know where I was going.
"…hm… It's like our home, I guess" Silver says.
I limp a bit as we walk and he notices, making him stop.
"Does it hurt to walk?"
"Well from getting thrown out that wooden hut, yeah" I say, and Silver quickly picks me up bridal style.
"Ahh, no-no it's okay. I feel like you guys have done more than enough for me- "
Silver shoots himself in the air causing me to hold on to his neck as we are a lot of feet from the ground. I shut my eyes from the height until I feel a light breeze.
"I hope this isn't too scary! I just think flying there would be a lot faster!" he says I open my eyes to look around.
From afar thousands of trees surround the ground below the mountain we were on and some clouds were present as well as it stood over the trees. I also notice a small building from far away and I gasp.
"Hm? Oh, yeah that's Asendel. It's pretty far but you can still see it kind of. The fire kingdom on the other hand is mostly not visible but up on this mountain you can see everything." Silver says as I look around the world below us.
"Then… where are we?" I ask and Silver looks at me awkwardly a bit.
"Well, I can't really say until we get the okay that you can stay here until you have recovered." he says
"Oh… they still don't trust me" I think and then I turn back to Silver.
"I understand your discomfort of bringing me here so why not justlet me leave… I don't want to start anything" I say, and Silver shakes his head.
"You are injured, I don't think I could just kick you out and hope you make it back home safe" Silver says turning away from Asendel in the distance and off into deeper in the mountain.
"I got thrown out of the fire kingdom injured though, so I am pretty sure you could. That's why I can't stay here because they don't trust me, and I don't trust them as well. Trust could be broken at any moment now… and I experienced that myself." I think as the misty air continues fly past my face.
As we fly Silver, I take my time to try to look around, but I see is mist and trees blocking the path on how to really go up the mountain. Silver than flies up and I see a flicker of stone stairs and they disappear as the mist gets thicker.
"What's with all this mist?"
The mist starts to get thicker and thicker created a white wall and Silver moves his hand, revealing an orange, white and red palace. Sunshine also comes through from the sky and I notice that they created a huge wall of thick mist to hide their hideout.
"How do they hide their hideout for this long?"
I think as I have seen the mist moving around for a very long time. Silver takes some steps in and I look around at the people. They are wearing warm color clothes and holding baskets of fresh bread and apples. The ground of the palace is white stone, that looked like it had never been stepped on once as it was so clean.
"Shadow!" Says a small child's voice and I look to the right of me to see that a bunch of kids were surrounding him.
Shadow bends down and pats the heads of the kids and tells them something that makes them smile brightly. Shadow red eyes then hit mine and he stands up and waves goodbye to the children.
Shadow starts to walk towards us, and I look away because his eyes were very intimidating in a way.
"Wow, even carrying her after she tried to kill you- "
"Look. It was your idea to save her from bleeding out at the fire kingdom and now you want nothing to do with her?" Silver says quietly not trying to cause a scene even though some people were already starting to stare at me as Silver walks in the palace with an unknown person.
"I did agree but that all changed once I saw how dangerous she could be. Let's just hope her being here doesn't ruin anything." Shadow says walking faster leaving us behind as he heads to a big building deep into the palace.
Silver sighs and walks faster to catch up with him. I roll my eyes and I lean up a bit so Shadow can get a good listen about what I am about to say to him.
"Then why not just take me then, since you don't trust me! You had plenty of chances and you didn't do it so if something does happen then it will be your fault." I yell and Shadow stops.
Shadow turns around and stares at me.
"Mhm. So, are you threating the palace now?" he says and Shadow walks up to me causing Silver to back up.
Shadow notices Silver backing up and laughs, going back to walk forward.
"Trust me. If I could have thrown you out of here I would have done it minutes ago but since Silver wants to protect you so badly then I don't have a choice but to wait when he isn't looking and believe me I will fulfill out my duties as Superior Guardian." Shadow says.
"Superior Guardian?"
"Or maybe if Tikal says she can stay then we can all just start over and not have AMMONCITY with the Princess. Yep, I think that's a cool idea" Silver says.
Shadow says nothing in response and continues we all continue to wall to the huge palace before us. We walk under an arch and we step downstairs to a quiet, clean, empty area. That was filled with trees and benches and gorgeous flowers of red, orange and yellow. The palace was built in 4 pillars connected to each other. The pillars were created with a clay like material and it had gold colored point roofs onto of them.
"Wow" I say softly, and Shadow looks at me disapprovingly.
"Yeah, Nice isn't it? This were our… well I guess you could say our "Queen" stays. This is also where we stay as well, we celebrate here as well and have important meetings with everyone in the palace" Silver says.
"How many of you are there? "I ask curiously.
"None of your business and you better not tell her Silver." Shadow says walking up the stairs to enter the palace.
Silver goes silent and he looks at me emphatically. I nod my head, understanding that they shouldn't tell me, and we enter the palace and just like outside of it; the floor was a white marble and red was scattered in the decorations with gold. There was a large water fountain on the side of the big room causing me to make a note of that if Shadow tries anything.
"Guardian Shadow! Guardian Shadow!" yells a girl who flies from a gap in the roof.
I look at the roof she flew from and Silver laughs at my expression.
"Yes, we don't have stairs in here "Silver says, and I nod my head.
"I guess they could just fly everywhere- "
"Tikal says she needs you right away-
The girl looks at me and then at Silver. She walks up to me wearing a white crop top with blue lines on it and matching pants. She also has gold cuffs on her wrists.
"Who is she- "
The young girl blushes and then starts to jump and down.
"SILVER HAS A KIDNAPPED A WOMAN TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND?! I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN! RELEASE HER NOW". The girl says and charges at Silver.
"MARINE STOP!" Silver yells and jumps back as Marine tried to snatch me from him.
"Did he hurt you! I will protect!" Marine asks me and I look at her in confusion.
"No-no? I'm not being kidnapped" I say softly but my comment flies through her ear and then out the other.
"DON'T WORRY- "Shadow grabs Marine by her shirt, to stop her from attacking Silver any further.
"Marine cool it. And she isn't kidnapped if anything thinks of her as…"
Shadow looks me up and down and shakes his head.
"A threat." Shadow says and starts to fly up the hole, into the next floor.
"A threat? Then why are we bringing her in here?" Marine asks and Silver shake his head and passes her.
"She isn't a threat, Marine. Shadow is just being a little asshole today, that's all" Silver says and Marine nods her head.
Silver flies up the hole and Marine follows as well as we venture down the hallway. I look around I notice there are no maids nor guards around.
"Their way of living is so different. They have no guards anywhere so everyone must be trained" I think to myself as I watch Shadow make a right and open a door.
We all follow him as well and we enter a dark room only lit with candles. The dim lit room makes me cautiously as I can't really see until I notice a girl in the corner holding a blue orb. Silver stops and everyone else does as well. I look at all of them and I notice that they are looking at her with concern. I look at her again and I see that her eyes are lit up causing me to widen my eyes.
"Her eyes they are glowing- and so are the stripes on her arms."
The girl sits on a soft red pillow and hold in the orb in her hands and she is looking into it. She blinks once and looks up from the orb. The places it down and then her eyes go back to how a normal person should look.
She looks at Shadow smiles.
"Shadow- "she starts to cough vigorously and Shadow rushes to her side.
Shadow pats her back and the girl fans at him letting him know that she is alright. Marine moves past us with a cup of water and she takes it and sips on it.
"I'm alright guys really." Tikal says and then she moves a bit to look at me and I look back at her.
"Well I was wondering when you were going to show up Princess of Asendel. What a journey you have made to end up here." The girl with orange hair says.
Silver gently places me on the floor but continues to support me as the orange hair girl bows to me.
I watch her orange dreads move to the other side of her shoulder and she snaps her fingers letting light into the room. I look at the girl and I notice that she has on a silver head band with a blue gem in the middle of it and a grey top with a grey long skirt to match that had a slit in the front of it. She also hand on ankle bracelets on her feet.
"I am Tikal, the clairvoyant of our home, Lera." She says and I bow to her as well.
"Nice to meet you, Lady Tikal." I say and she smiles at me and walks over to me.
She grabs my hands and looks at my palms. She places her finger on it and traces around my hand. I watch her carefully in confusion and she looks at me and smiles.
"Long journey?" She asks and I nod my head slowly.
"Yeah… not really sure how I ended up here, but thanks to Silver and…Shadow. I am alive so I am grateful and if you ever need anything from Asendel then- "
"Fire benders can be so treacherous, can they?" She asks out of the blue.
"… Yes- in most ways." I say softly thinking about the fire kingdom.
"And that Prince. He is something else every time you come near him something disastrous always happens and I find it so funny that you are still trying to make a deal with them." She says leaving me shocked.
"…how did you know that- "
"Well, I am the Clairvoyant, the oracle, the soothsayer, or simply a fortune teller." Tikal says and walks past me and to a window.
I watch her walk and I notice a huge scar on her back.
"Fortune teller? I thought those didn't exist anymore- "
"The scar is from my old tribe, punishing me for my gift. Which is why most air benders are so scattered around the world. Thank god you took in some of them. The peace in your heart is so admirable, I love that about you." she says and opens her window.
"How did you know what I was thinking" I ask, and she turns back to me.
"Oh, I didn't. Most guests ask so I just assumed you wanted to know" she says leaning back on the window seal.
Shadow chuckles and so does Silver. They both stop and then look at each other serious like.
"Tikal… we have questions about something." Silver says stepping up to Tikal and moving me forward with him.
Tikal looks at Silver and then Shadow.
"Go on."
"Silver wants to bring a threat into the palace until she gets better" Shadow says before Silver could speak.
"She isn't a threat! I understand that she is a princess, but she is also a normal person!" Silver says.
"A normal person? Silver sweetie, this girl is far from normal and most likely she is more of a threat than someone who needs help. I am sure she thinks the same about herself." Tikal says looking over to me.
"Am I wrong? Even you know you aren't normal right?" she asks.
I look at her and then to Silver.
"Well, yes. I know I am a danger. If you would like me to leave, then I can." I say
"See, Silver. Even the princess knows that she is a threat and yet you still brought her here? Who knows who is looking for her? Or maybe she came here to trick us all and you just let her in even after Shadow said something about it." Tikal says and Silver frowns a bit and looks down.
"I- I… but when we found her. She looked so helpless and then when she awoke, I knew she was just scared… afraid. Shadow wanted to hurt her, but I wouldn't let him because I just had. A feeling that there was no way she would have done anything to hurt us in anyway, so… that's why I am asking if she could stay here so she could have time to recover." Silver says and Marine gasps.
"Her? Stay here? The princess of Asendel. My lady… no one even knows that we exist over here. Letting her stay here and not being found by her people could cause a great threat to us- "
"How long has she been here." Tikal asks and Silver looks at Shadow.
"Two days." Shadow says.
"I've been out for two days…" I think to myself.
"Two days… two days for people to notice that her body was not in front of the fire kingdom. Two days for Asendel to threaten the fire kingdom. Two days to do anything… and you want the princess to stay here for…"
Tikal walks up to me and bends down looking at the bandage on my leg. She grabs my thigh and rubs her hand over the bandage, looking for the place to undo it. She grabs and unravels it a bit looking at it.
"Maybe two more days. I am sure she could heal herself, but blood is a factor too is it not… and I saw that you were wounded in your torso as well." She asks and I nod my head.
She stands up and smiles at Silver.
"Do you want her to stay here? You know the risks." Tikal says and Silver stands up confidently.
"Yes, my lady. I understand all of the risks and I will make sure to let nothing bad happen to the palace during her stay" Silver says, and Tikal nods her head.
"Then do what you want with her. I trust your judgement." Tikal says and then walks over to a table that contained fruit.
Silver smiles and bows, thanking Tikal and Shadow watches Tikal in shock.
"But, Lady Tikal, if we keep her here then we really are risking being found. How can you allow her to stay here after all those risks? Maybe you should look in the future just in case-" Shadow says and Tikal picks up an orange and turns around to Shadow.
"Oh Shadow. I have already seen what is to come. Also, I am starting to think we are getting… to comfortable here. Some fun would be a change." she says while peeling an orange.
"I think you should ditch this timeline you created in your head you think you should be following. Trust that everything is unfolding as it should, because we can't change the future." She says and eats an orange slice.
Shadow goes silent and clenches his fist.
"…Fine." he says and turns around to walk to me.
Silver watches him carefully and he looks at me in the eye.
"As soon as you are healed you are gone, end of discussion." Shadow says and walks to the exit. He walks out of the room leaving Marine, Silver and Tikal in the room.
"What an exit! I am sure he will be fine though, but in the meantime, you should give the Princess one of our rooms so she can rest up properly. Bring her food and water because I am sure she is starving." Tikal says and walks to sit back down on her cushion.
"Right. Thank you so much, Lady Tikal." Silver says and Tikal smiles.
"Marine… you wouldn't mind getting her some new clothes, would you?" Tikal asks and Marine nods her head and dashes out of the room.
"Thank you, Lady Tikal. I hope I won't stir too much trouble. I promise not to be a burden or anything and let me know you would like me to leave." I say politely.
"Everything will be fine, don't worry. Now head on out so you can get refreshed. I am sure we will chat again." Tikal says.
Silver and I bow and walk out of the room. Silver helps me walk down the hall and then he lifts the both of us to the bottom floor. We start to walk straight down a hallway, and I can't help but to look around again.
"Sorry about Shadow… he usually isn't like that but lately the palace has been in danger, so he has been very cautious" Silver says making me look at him.
"Danger how?"
"Some of our soldiers have ended up sick from missions they went on and now they are starting to think that they are harming people down below from our mountain… I might have to go apologize to Shadow because I did understand his meaning of if you should come or not." Silver says thinking about what Shadow said.
"Maybe we both can apologize and start over. I don't want him to feel uncomfortable or angry, even though he is kind of an asshole." I say making Silver laugh.
"I am glad to here that. Now I don't have to go on my own to do it."
We make it to a room at the end of the hall and Silver opens the door and I am shown a small room with a bed, personal bathroom and then a small closet. Silver sits me on the bed and walks over to open the curtains a bit.
"Sorry this room isn't probably as grand as yours- "
"No! This is fine. Thank you so much Silver. I am forever in your debt, truly" I say and Silver blushes a bit.
"It's fine but let me get a look at your bandages and then I can go find you something to eat." He says.
I nod my head and I take my shirt off carefully not to hurt my torso any more than it already was. I place my shirt down beside and I look back up at Silver who looked kind of nervous.
"Are you okay?" I ask looking at him.
"I'M FINE" he says and then moves his hands to my torso to take off my bandages.
He slowly unwraps it and I look down as well to see stiches and a lot of bruising. It looked like I was really Tails punching bag causing me to growl.
"So… the guy who did this. Was it the prince?" Silver asks checking on the stiches.
"No… it was the Princes old friends. He shot me and left me to die." I say and Silver looks at me.
"Yeesh. They are heartless over there." Silver says.
"Are they really heartless because right now that's all I feel. Heartless and betrayed… my first time trying to talk to the fire kingdom and they really tried to kill me… then on top of that… Sonic. He never told me he did all that"
I think as I zone out thinking about all the happy times, I had with him when everything feels like a lie.
"He knew the entire time that he killed those water benders and that he killed Cosmo and never said a word. He just smiles in my face over and over again- "
"Princess?" Silver says snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Are you alright? You feel really hot" Silver asks.
"Oh-I am fine… just thinking about some things" I say Silver nods his head and stands up.
He places his hand on my forehead and frowns a bit.
"No… are you sure you are alright? You seem a lot warmer than usual" he asks.
"I don't feel different." I say and Silver looks at me concerningly.
"Are you sure?" he asks removing his hand from my face.
I nod my head and the door opens. Marine comes in and with a pair of clothes. She places them on the counter and then bows quietly.
"Thank you… Marine is it?" I say and Marine eyes sparkle.
"Yes! It's so nice to meet you Princess. I have heard so many things about your push for peace and equality." Marine says causing me to smile.
"Thank you and it is nice to meet you as well." I say and Marine smiles brightly.
"Marine. Go grab her some food okay? I am going to go fetch my bandages." Silver says and Marine salutes him.
"Sure can!" Marine takes off and Silver follows her in the process but turns around to me before he left.
"We will be back" he says, and I nod my head.
The door closes and I look around the room until my eyes meet the clothes that were laid out for me. I try to get up, but my leg hurts again, and I contain my scream, by covering my mouth. The pain slowly subsides, and tears prick at the corner of my eyes.
"I feel so angry still. Everything. Everything is still hitting me and all I feel is pain and anger… Sonic you idiot… why didn't you just tell me. I really though I knew him, but I don't at all, but that's okay." I think as I wipe off my final tears that prince would ever cause to fall from my eyes.
I stand up and I limp over to the bathroom and I open the door. I look around and I open a drawer looking for something sharp. Flashbacks of sonic go through my head as I search for something to cut me from the past. I close the drawer and then I open another to find a pair of scissors. I grab them and then I look up at myself in the mirror.
I had bags in my eyes with light dark circles around them and my hair was still black. My shirt I had on also was tattered and I definitely look like I haven't eaten in a while. I run my hand through my hair, and I blink slowly as I look at myself.
"I'm… I'm over this Amy." I think as I grab my hair like I am about to put it in a hair tie. I look at myself one more time and I grab the scissors.
"Snip. Snip. Snip".
