39. For you

My head wouldn't stop spinning from every step I would take but the promise I made to Sonic would keep me going. I stumble to the cold, marble wall and wall smoothy pours out of the wall and as it hits the water in the fountain it didn't make a noise. My head felt sweaty while I pushed myself further down the hallway to find an exit and I trip over my lazy feet and hit the ground.

"Sonic…. I'm on my way."

My arms buckle while I stood on my feet again and my head started to feel less light from falling but my body wouldn't keep up. The heat from my body runs through my veins and I feel It run up my spin efast and I cough out.

"I was drugged and kidnapped. No one saw me getting taken as well. Maybe Maria did but they were too distracted to even realize my disappearance.

"Hopefully they just look for Sonic and not me. We have to get to him soon."

Sonic appears in my mind after passing a light blue wall and I grab my arm in the lone hallway room that was in the shape of a triangle. All I could hear in the hallway was my shaky footsteps hitting the floor. I stopped near the end of the hallway and I took a couple of breaths, trying to calm my eyes down from spiraling and it actually works. I come across a reflective surface and I look at myself to make sure I am okay but then I see huge bright lights above me. I look up and a chandelier shines and dangles slowly while I walk into the room.

Where am I? I wondered while trying to understand who took me and then why they left me where I was.

"I am just going to assume one of sally's followers did this so I have to keep my guard up."

I carefully walk through the room and I see a big door that was open, light music was also being played from a piano and I walk closer and peak in the door lead to a dark hallway that was made out of rock this time and the walls were lit with oil lanterns. The sound of the song was what I was following because someone was nearby and then it stops. I stop with it and I wait for something or someone to pop up from the end of the hall but then the music continues.

The piano plays a wrong note making whoever was playing it stop and then the piano keys get slammed on and the room is silent. They slowly start playing again, getting the part right and I stop walking because I wasn't sure if I wanted to see this person but knowing that Sonic was nearing the spirit world blocked my worries.

I make it to the end of the hall, and I notice that there are two ways to go but I continue to follow it because where else was I going to head to. I was lost and I had to try to find someone to find Sonic again.

The hall I take had a couple of doors on the walls and I look through to see that they are tiny bedrooms and bathrooms and then I notice that I am at the end of the hall.

Dead end. I'll go the other way.

I leave the hall and go to the other one and at the end of the that hallway another entrance, so I walk down it, looking into the rooms that were on the sides of me and I stop suddenly to see one bed sheets on the floor, like whoever had been in there was struggling.

"I'm sure they hold people captive in here but why this one bedroom looking more messier than the others." I touch the door to peak in some more and it opens.

I take step backs quickly while the door creaked loudly, and a blast of cool air comes out. I take a step in and I step on the bed sheet that was on the floor and then look at the bed and around it. I notice a strand of hair and I pick it I up and shine it in the light.

"It's blue hair."

My heart beats harshly and I turn around quickly and I noticed that one of the mirrors that was in the room had been cracked as well.

"Signs of struggling. Sonic was struggling. This is his hair, and he is trying to save of sometime… it must not have been long ago since the sheets are still a mess."

I dash out of the room and I run down the hall for more clues of where he could have gone but this room was just as clean than the last.

"Fuck!" My eyes water up, and I feel my chest burn slightly because I was tired of getting so close to finding Sonic only to be left confused once again. The music started playing again and I walk towards quickly in the search of Sonic.

I follow the music and that makes me turn left under some stairs and then I see in the corner and I notice that a vase that was held in a plant was fallen over. I stop and stare at it for a moment and Sonic struggling to get free of someone's grip and possibly breaking the vase my stomach twist and turn. But the sounds of the piano was telling me to head that way.

I speed up towards it and the hallway gets dim until it starts to turn dark. The sudden darkness made me wonder why the area I was in was so long and unusual. So, I placed my hand on the wall, feeling the cold, lines on it to guide me down the hall. The music ends and all I could hear was the quiet sound of the hallway. I come across a hallway and it also went two ways. One hallway was light and the other was dark. I chose the light side and I didn't have to use my hand to guide me and I journey down it.

Hopefully this is where he headed-

A new piano song starts and I pause and turn around. It was coming from the dark hallway and I look at the light hallway and the back to the other once. I decide to head towards the noise, placing my hand back on the wall and walking slower to the increasing noise of the music.

There was a brown door open, and the piano music was nice and vibrant in my ears and I knew whoever was playing it was going to be right inside the room, so I took a deep breath and I slowly walk in.

The room was brown and had a table piled with food and two chairs on the end of the medium sized brown table. There were also melted candles near the door and around the room to give it a calm setting. The bookshelf added to that calm setting and so did the tall fox playing the piano that was facing the opposite side of the room. He didn't notice me but I noticed that he had on a different clothes. Black shirt and some olive green pants and no shoes, his ginger hair was pulled into a ponytail and moved as he looked across the keys.

I look at the food on the table next while I walked in and it was some kind of soup with potatoes and carrots and some kind of meat with bread on the center and then glasses of wine filled half way.

The fox missed a note and stopped playing making me hault like I did when I was following this song he was playing and he raises his arms up like he was going to smash the keys but his ears perks up and he turns and to me with a big smile.

"You have awoken!" Cass says and stands up quickly and my legs stand firm and still. "I knew you would come back! I expected you got lost so I just decided to help you by playing the piano-"

"Where is he?"

Me cutting Cass of made his excited expression drop and he walks closer, and I notice a bruise on his eye, and he sighs.

"What happened to him?"

Cass clears his throat and smiles again and walks up to me. I try not to hit the guy who touched Sonic as his hands touch my back and push me towards the chair and he pulls out and offers me to sit. I sit down and let him push me in and I watch him walk around and sit on the other end of the table.

"Now! I made all this food myself! Just fitted for a princess! I hope you enjoy it!" I look down at the food and I hear Cass start eating and he looks at me dreamily with a mouth full of food.

"I hope this suits our first date-"

The bowl goes flying to the floor from me smacking it off and I stand my feet and push the rest of it off. Cass watches his work hit the floor and I make my way over to him and take his fork out of his hand and I throw it and the rest of his food on the ground.

"Where is he!" I yell and Cass eyes come back to mine after looking at his food. "Tell me-"

"With Sally and Ten probably opening up the spirit world." Cass says and I take a nervous breath.

"Am… am I too late?"

"Princess. Why does he matter? I thought you came here- I thought I brought you here to go on that date we both wanted… why did you knock down the food. That took me so long to make." Cass voice was very sad, and he stood up towered me quickly and started cleaning up the food. I notice that Cass arm had bruises on it as well while cleaned and he places a broken glass of wine on the table.

"Cass." I say and Cass ignores me and continues to clean and anger boils within me, so I walk up to him to get his attention."

Cass! -"

A shine of light of appear and I duck and a loud noise of thunder shoots over my head and I look at the ground as my life flashed before my eyes. I lean up and I walk back quickly, and Cass stands up too.

"You want to kill me right?" he asks and the lightening in his palm runs along his fingers and strong arms with veins.

"I created all of this! All of this for you princess. I thought you wanted to be with me, but you keep on being rude and acting hateful to me when I have been completely fair to you! I didn't have to bring you here and cook for you. I could have just stayed with the plan of killing you and whoever else you brought but… I thought you wanted to be with me, but you want to kill me… like you said." Cass sighs and starts to bawl his lip and punches the table. His arm going straight through and he does it again and again.

"He wasn't this strong last time… or maybe he was-"

Cass grabs the broken wine bottle and approaches me, and I walk back but I am blocked by a piano that I accidently hit and he shows me the sharp glass.

"Kill me then!" he says and grabs my hand and places it in mine.

"Do it!"

I look at his chest and then to his face and Cass looked so heartbroken. Why he was heartbroken, I didn't know why but he really wanted me to stab him.

I drop the glass and he watches it roll and then looks at me.

"I just want to know where he is. That's all. I know I said I was going to kill you but if you just show me him then we will be even."

"If I show you the prince?" he asks and I nod my head. "What if I told you he was dead?" Cass says softly and the remorse I had for this insane man vanishes quickly as he walks up to me.

"Then you will think about me, right?… and only me." Cass says and he touches my cheek, grazing it and I smack his hand away and he grabs my wrist. I look at my wrist and then he grabs my shirt and pushes me against the wall.

"Cass get off of me-"

Cass lips touch mine and I couldn't speak but I did scream and thrash while I felt his hand wonder my body. I turn my face from his and Cass growls angrily and slams me back into the wall.

"Why can't it just be us? You don't have to be like this." He says and grabs my face to kiss me again and let's go of my wrist.

I remember about all the spilled drink and food on the floor so I water bend it and it flies at him, making him let go of me and I trip and fall over the big rug that was in the room and I stumble out the door, I could hear lightning while I ran do I jumped over the table, picked it up and used it as protection until I could jump out of the way and to the side of the wall, that was outside the room.

"Princess… please don't run away from me. Not again." Cass says in the room and I can hear him moving and I notice that I was in the long hallway again.

I stand up fast and I dash down the hallway, the fastest my legs could take me, and I was nearing the light hallway with a brightened entrance.

"He is going to shoot lightening again and this is a one-way hallway! I have to hurry!"

I look back and that flash of light I saw makes me run faster and then the ripping noise of lightening comes behind me and I jump and roll on the ground. I watch it explode the wall and the stairs that was near it.

I get up and I turn around to see the upstairs. A table was nearby and because the stairs were destroyed, I jump on the table and climb up the wall to the next floor and I crouch down to watch Cass walk in.

Cass looks around and he looks at the wooden stairs fall apart and then he stops and looks directly at me. I duck but I was sure I was too late to hide myself, so I start looking for another exit.

"Princess. Please just stop running from me. Even if you find Sonic it's going to be too late. You are going to see his lifeless body on the floor and then who will you have to run to. You can just come to me and not worry about risking your life to save a life that is no more." Cass words echo in the room.

I look around the room while he was talking, and the exit was on the opposite side of the room so I would have to run. I get up and I start running and Cass shoots more lightening and I slide and dodge as I sprint to the side.

Cass explodes the floor where I was running so it left a huge gap connecting this side of the floor to the next. I look down and Cass has his arm open for me and I take steps back.

"Just fall into my hands and we can start over!"

I take steps back and I think about going to the opposite side, but he explodes that one too and the second floor starts to fall apart, and my eyes widen. I take a big breath and I stare at the gap. I give myself space and I start to dash across the floor. I jump huge, using my arms to give more height and I soar across the Cass who under me. I notice that was jump was short, so I hit the broken edge of the floor and I grab on to some random wood while my legs dangle. I pull myself up and I sigh in relief because Cass was getting creepier by the second.

"Princess!" Cass yells for me and I hop up and start to run to the exit of this floor. I jog into the dark hallway and once again it has two ways to go, and I didn't need to hit a dead end.

"Princess!"

Cass voice echoes at the end of the hall and the sound of lightening made me decided on which way to go first. I run quickly and I make sure to turn back only when I needed to, but he wasn't there. Maybe he had gave up. I turn a corner and I breathe heavily while I lean my back on the wall.

"I have to think something. Cass is a lightening bender and a water bender. There is no water for me and him to use and also this dagger Tikal are letting us have doesn't work on his body for some reason. "My chest rises up and down from running for so long and I run my hand through my hair, trying to think of an escape plan.

"All I have is running. Cass isn't an opponent I talked about with group about taking on myself. His power seems unlimited as well and Sonic… he is nearing the spirit world entrance, and nothing has made it a sign if I was close to that or not."

The hallway gets quiet, and I peak over to see that no one followed me. So, I turn right, and I start to run again. I jog quickly through the maze of tunnels and even go up a random flight of stairs. It felt like I was confusing myself with the directions I took but I was trying my absolute best to get away from Cass. I make it to a floor with lights and I walk out notice that it was a long flight of stairs and a rock railing protecting people from falling. I step out carefully and I look around the area and I walk even closer, and I notice that it was a huge drop.

The big abyss went so far that I was wondering what could even be down there. I stare at it and I lean even closer as I see a green slimmer of light. I squint my eyes and peak over the rail even more and then the light disappears.

"What is that?"

I decide to walk down the stairs, so I take a step back but from the side of my eye someone was standing there. My head turns slowly at the exit I just came from and his red eyes were staring at me. He sighs and I flinch at the sound of his voice and I start to run again but of course he grabs me by my arm and yanks me hard to the ground. I fall on my back and I roll up, but I still proceed to fall down because of the bright light coming from his hand. I crawl back and he steps up with me at the same pace. He lifts his hand and I raise mine as well.

"Stop!" I say and Cass was pissed.

"Why? You don't want me. I'm killing you-"

"Cass, you can't! I need to find Sonic! You can't just kill me-"

"WHY NOT!" he yells and the lightening leaves, but his anger doesn't. Cass grabs my foot and brings me close to him and before I could yell, he grabs me by the throat and lifts me up.

"TELL ME WHY-"

I place my leg on his arm and I try to push myself out of his grip, but he wouldn't let go so I kick at his chest hard. I kept on doing but nothing was getting him let go.

"LET GO OF ME! I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU TOOK FROM ME!" I yell and I feel my body heat up and I growl and kick Cass hard in the face.

Cass face turns and he throws me to the wall. My back hits it and I notice that I am free so I scurry to me feet and I leap for the stairs, but he grabs my shirt and I grab at his hands. Cass walks with me towards the railing and holds my body over it. Pushing me further and further over the railing and I look back it and to him who's eyes were filled with nothing.

Cass let go of me and I almost fall into the big drop, but I grab onto his arm and shirt. Cass eyes move to my hands on him.

"Let go of me." He says and I notice that Cass was the only reason why I wasn't falling to my doom, he places his hands on mine and starts to pry them off. I watch him and I try to fight back but it wasn't working so my heart was starting to pound.

"C-Cass… don't."

Cass lip trembles and he takes my hands off his shirt and my eyes widen because I feel myself fall. I take a big breath to scream but the ceiling above me breaks and I watch someone fly out of it.

"Axel."

Axel lands on the ground and Cass turns around late from watching me fall and Axel hits Cass off and then Axel falls down with us, boosting himself and dodging a lightening blast from Cass. It starts to get dark, and I notice how long I had been falling but Axel was reaching me quicker than I was falling before the disappearing site of him, and Cass went vanished as well, into the dark abyss we were all falling in.

Axel hand was reached out to mine and I feel my eyes water as I take his hand into mine and I am brought into his body.

"I got you." Axel voice says and I nod my head quickly and I realize how scared I was of me dying that I grip his shirt.

"I'm glad you are okay." I say as I feel cool air soar through my scalp. "Everyone said you got separated so… I didn't know where you were."

Axel earth bends and brings us to the wall, and we start sliding down instead of straight plummeting soon it gets lighter because of lanterns on the floor, hanging on the wall. Axel feet hits the ground he places me on it carefully while looking over me.

"Are you okay? I felt you here long ago but the ways to get around here is very confusing."

"I'm fine. Where did you go? Are you okay?" I touch Axel's face and he smiles softly since he was glad to see me.

"Yeah, and I guess the earth bender launched me away from you and the rest because I couldn't find you all-"

Cass jumps down and as his feet slams on the ground, it breaks rock making us stare at him and Axel pushes me behind him because Cass was fuming at us and he leans up from the impact of hitting the ground so hard and he slowly stands up and cracks his neck.

He then raises his arm up quickly at us and Axel creates a thick slab of rock to protect us we both duck and I wrap my arms around his body as the lighting rips through the rock like paper and smacks the rock behind us. I look at the damage done behind us and I think about how that would have killed us, and I didn't know how many times I got lucky to dodge it, but I was lucky for this time once again.

Cass smacks the rock away and he reaches his arm up but we stand up move back away from him.

"Give me her!" He yells and Axel walks up to him fearlessly.

"Not over my dead body!" Axel yells and I walk back and try to look for an exit.

"Princess wait! Stop looking around. There isn't an exit." Cass says and his voice sounded panic.

Like I was close to seeing something I wasn't supposed to see.

"Why... is he around here?"

Cass face shows panic, and my eyes widen, and my mouth wants to scream for Sonic but this time I had to think correctly to find him.

"Axel." I say and the words about to come out of my mouth even intrigue me. "Tear these walls and floors to pieces. I think Sonic is here. I'll take on Cass."

"What?" They both say and Axel keeps his eyes on Cass and comes to my side. "How are you sure? And there is no water around so how are going to beat him."

" I can fight." The words that come out of my mouth don't make me even sure that I could, but I knew if it meant getting Sonic any kind of safe then I would risk it.

"Amy..."

"Please, Axel just trust me. I won't lose." I say and I walk past Axel and Cass looks at me confused but also like he was thinking of all the ways to kidnap me.

I slowly get in a fighting stand, clench my feet and lowering into a mid-squat and I stare at his eager red eyes.

"Don't use your lightning on me. That's not fair."

Cass starts to smile and then his smile forms into big laughter as he looks over me."Haha! You know I can kill you in two seconds, but your eyes still leak with faith inside them."

"Because you gave it away that we are close to him... aren't we?"

Cass smiles and he gets in a fighting position too and my eyes start to focus on his eyes and body movement.

Rocks start getting thrown, creating dust from being bended and Cass deep pools of red stares into mine.

"Maybe. But's not like you are going to make to him. You have make it past me so why not just-"

I swing my foot at his face hard and Cass stumbles and grabs his face and then slowly looks at me with a new color of purple on face.

"I'm going to win. And save him."

Cass laughs and runs at and he raises his arm making me think he was about to shoot lighting, but he just reaches for me and I dodge while more rocks get thrown behind us.

"And if I win, you stay with me!" He yells and he encourages himself.

Cass attacks me, pushing me back every time he would throw a punch or a kick sometimes some of his attacks weren't even trying to hit me, he was trying to grab while I threw him a kick to the rib and I hit him hard but he grabs my ankle. I jump and swing my other free leg across his face making let go of my ankle he was holding, and I land on the ground. Cass wasn't fazed at all from me hitting so he recovered right after he charged lightning in his hand, noticing I was open.

"Hey! I said no lightning!"

Cass stops and so does the sound of electricity and it fades away. "S-Sorry. Bad habit." Cass apologizes.

I punch at his face and we dodges me and I dodge him as I fight him I swing my foot hard at his ribs again and winces.

"That… that hurt him! So, you can't get him down in one hit, its multiple hits until he actually falls. I'll just keep on hitting at his ribs like I have been doing to see how far I can get."

Cass left his ribs open again and I punch at it hard making him lean over and then I jump on his back and I wrap my arm around his neck making him lean up and grab my shirt. Cass coughs out as he tries to get me off his back, he was scratching mine, trying to get my shirt but I held on tightly.

Kick at his ribs and he falls over on his knees and I stay with my arms wrapped around his neck. He moves my feet away from his ribs only for mine to come back and he grunts in pain and stands up quickly, almost making me lose my grip from around his neck and he runs towards the wall. I look at the wall and I close my eyes waiting for the impact and we hit it hard. He slams against again, making my head it the wall and I almost lose grip but I we wrap my arm and kick his rib again and that fuels him to slam me against the wall again and I finally let go. My head touches the rock while I fall on the ground and I close my eyes in pain.

A green light shines through my eyelids and I open them quickly to see the same green flicker I saw before I had fallen of and it floats in front of my face. The green orb flies over my head and it zooms through the wall above and goes inside it. I turn around and I look at the wall it went through and my eyes focus on the wall. I touch the wall gently and it feels like my hand is a magnet to the wall the green flicker just went through.

"What… it feels like… whatever is behind here is calling me. Or wants me to come near it."

I press my ear on the wall and it sounds like I put my ear into a seashell, a constant echoing of a movement inside of it.

"Axel! Break down this wall!" I yell and Axel stops what he was doing far away from us and runs towards me.

I push myself up and I see Cass with electricity in his hand and I stand up slowly. Cass was rubbing his neck and pointing at me.

"You… you said- "

"I did. But if I let you win… then we can never be together and you saw the green blob right? I saw you watch it." he asks and I freeze.

"So, you have two spirits too?" Cass questions.

"Cass saw it too… that's why the others didn't see the aurora cloud in the sky and why I saw that green light move in front of me and then through the wall… if Cass can see it and I can that means I have two spirits too… I was right."

Cass waits for me to speak and I just keep my mouth closed.

"What's your other ability?" He asks and I just shake my head and I look to the right to see if Axel was coming and he was but then a bright light flashes and I cover my eyes, not knowing what was headed for me or what was happening.

"PRINCESS! GET DOWN!" Axel yells and I as I do so the loud cracking comes a rock appears in front of me, but the lightning hits it, and the force sends me back hard and my head hits the back of wall harder this time.

…

My eyelids felt so heavy to open and so did my body. "Did I get hit?" I wondered since everything was so quiet and dark. Even the air I take in my nostrils feels heavy and calms me down as I try to open my eyes. I soon see a big bright stream of light. I try to look up to see where it was coming from, so I slowly lean on my back and the heavy pressure of the rooms pushes down on my chest, causing me to breathe like someone was standing on it but I could see where the light was coming from.

A spinning blue-black hole, it was rotating and spinning with a entrance that look like it led into a different place. The hole was so mesmerizing that the pressure I felt while I was laying down lifts from me as I stare at it. I stand on my feet and take one step but that step causes me to feel vibrations. I turn around to see a red orb moving around quickly, jumping around and hitting the surface sometimes but it was continuously moving.

"Wait… why am I standing in the dark." I look down and I could see my arms, but I just noticed that there was nothing around but a blank black canvas and that random blob of bright red behind me. I turn my focus back on the light and I start to walk towards it but then I step on something and I see a familiar person hair.

It was me… my hair. My body was laying on the ground with blood sliding down my forehead.

"How… how can I see myself like this." I reach down and touch my face carefully, but my hand goes through and I freak out because I didn't want to touch my brain or anything. But it looked like I was sleeping. Unconscious, but why was my head bleeding. I try to remember but nothing came to mind and then I start hearing the same echoing from when I pressed my head against the wall.

"It's like it's calling me." I step over my body this time and I walk towards the light. The walk I took to get closer to it felt warm while I walked through the darkness and I could see my body from far away, but I kept on journeying. The beam of light was so huge as I walked towards it. A bright light starts to radiate from the ground, and I walk quicker so see but the I stop. The bright light was the base of the light hitting the ground and it looked like I was looking into the sun. It shined and spined causing me to scoot back until I saw a shiny red blob move towards it. It was moving towards it slowly.

"Another orb. Maybe it can… maybe it can hear me if I call out to it." I think and I clear my voice.

"HEY! ORB!" I yell and the orb stops, and I watch it turn around. It stops moving and then it moves abruptly and spins back around and starts to head closer to the big shining light on the ground.

"HEY!" I say again and it stops. The red blob's light slowly dims down, and I watch it disappear.

"Maybe I scared it." I think and then the ground starts to rumble. The light beam I saw disappeared to and so did the bright area on the ground. Everything was turning black and the sound of that echoing noise I heard fades away and I couldn't hear anything but my breath.

The red blob comes back and the ground shakes even more as I watch it stand there. It blob changes into a rectangular shape and then long tentacles spring from it. It then starts to get bigger, and I watch it transform.

"What-"

The blob transforms into a gigantic rectangle in front of me and I take steps back as it gets bigger. The red rectangle that was the small blob before, turns a dark red and but the black enters it from the middle and spreads around in the red. It's tenacles also turned black and one of its arm slams on the ground near me and I watch it slam hard, shaking the ground even more and then I look back at it to see an eye. The eye blinks and then it fixates on me. My legs shook at the… monster that stared at me and I look at its tentacles as they wave around.

"You clear his darkness I create for him." Says the voice in a deep dark tone that shakes my spine and I start moving after it speaks.

It's arm raises and I start to charge back to my body.

"What's going on! What is that!?" I think and I turn back to see an arm heading for me but I jump out the way and roll on the ground and instantly get back to feet and I continue to run towards my body that wasn't that far away.

"He only knows darkness. That not even a simpleton like you can take him from." Says the monster and I don't think about questioning what it's was saying because he was trying to crush me. I finally see my body and I hear another tenacle raise after missing me and I look up at it and I turn back to my body.

The arm falls down and I jump out to my body just before it touches me, and the area gets dark.

"Amy!"

My eyes open quick, and I see Axel looking at me. I look up and flinch like because I thought tentacle was still above me, but the only thing was above me was Axel and a rock to protect us in.

"You are burning up." He says touching me with his shirt because I was probably too hot for him to touch.

"I jumped in my body…. What in hell did I just do?"

Axel notices I haven't said a word, so I shake my head. "I'm fine… I just hit my head. I think."

"You did. We are underground as for now. I wanted to get you back to your consciousness before we head back to Cass" he says and I nod my head then I start hearing that empty noise. Calling for me.

Axel pulls me out of the ground, and I can hear Cass pounding on the rock. Axel scoffs and gets ready to pull the rock back down, but I touch his arm.

" I… Sonic is nearby. I just know it. Keep on breaking down the walls. He has to be somewhat near."

"I will." Axel brings it down and Cass appears.

"I thought you were forfeiting for a moment." Cass says and looks around me.

"No. I just took a little nap." I say and I look at his hand it was spiraling with electricity. "So, you are using lightning now. Make sense I was so close to getting you on your knees."

"You were. I have to make sure that you come with me so I can't lose!" Cass says and he already shoots lightning at me but I move behind a rock to dodge it, but I noticed his lightning is delayed more than usual.

"That lightning came later than last time… that means he is probably running out of chi. That gives me another time to hit at his ribs again."

"I have already been hit by lightning from the strongest fire bender who has ever lived, even if you were to hit me, I am sure it wouldn't do much!" I say.

"Also since he is running out of chi… maybe I can cut into him."

"Haha, you are so confident. I love it so much..." Cass says, and I walk from the rock to see smiling at me and jumping up and down with excitement.

Cass's words don't affect me as they did before. I had to finish this quicky to find Sonic, so I run at him and he shoots lightning him that I was tired of hiding behind objects to protect myself and since they were delayed over a second and possibly longer this time I slide on the ground, dodging it and letting the sound of it hurt my ear, but I use that pain for strength, and I set foot right under chin making him fall on the ground.

Cass eyes widen and he scrambles to get up as I run to him and he shoots lightning faster, and I dodge it barely this time, but I keep going.

I had to keep going because something keeps on calling me and I had a big feeling it was Sonic… or something that wanted me to find him. I slam foot on the ground because I was aiming for his ribs and he rolls out of the way and stands.

"He really isn't a combat fighter if I can keep him stumbling like this. He must only be able to fight with water or that stolen lightning bending ability. Just, take advantage of that, Amy."

Bringing my fists up, I approach him, and he throws a punch at me, but I bawl my lip up and I send my ankle hard at his rib that he left open, and he winces and grabs his side and I twist around let my leg sweep across his face. My foot makes contact and I hit in the nose and his face turns with the force and a blast of light flashes and I jump back carefully. Thick blood was running from nose and his eyes bled with a wrathful rage, that made me watch all his movements. The lightning in his hand looked different from last time. It charged in his hand and he held his rib but ran at me.

"Why is he charging at me now?" I stare at his bright hand as it swings over my head and misses my torso. "I'm sure if he touches me then I will for sure get electrocuted."

Cass moves quicker and I do the same trying not to get him touch me and I hop over a rock and start to run.

"Axel! Rock sword!" I yell and Axel turns around with dirt scuffs on his face and earth bends me a sword quicky.

It appears right in front of and I rip it from the ground and I turn around to Cass still running towards me. Cass reaches for my head and swing the sword at his torso, and I watch it slice through his shirt but then he sends his knee into my chest. I fly across the area and I roll on the ground while holding my chest.

"Fuck, that hurt. I forgot that his strength was doubled." I use the sword to stand up and I notice that it was red.

"Blood?" I look at Cass who was looking at his torso and he noticed that his shirt was changing color because I cut him. Cass looks at me in shock and his lightning disappears from his hand. He touches it and winces and looks at his hand and seems to panic.

Panic really bad.

His red eyes that was once confident and elated surfed into panic and he starts to breathe heavier.

"He is afraid because he can be hurt now. He used too much chi trying to hit me with that lightning. He is acting just how Maria acted when she knew she was losing. They panic. And their eyes are filled like they are about die."

"After hearing Maria's story… I wonder why he acts this way."

I rise up and Cass swallows heavily and stares at the sword in my hand and then to me.

"Cass. You are done. I can tell you don't enough chi to protect yourself and this random strength you have. I know you are done." I say and Cass takes steps back like he was trying to think of another way to take me down, but he knew that I was right as well.

"Let's just stop and you tell me where Sonic is, so we don't have to go any farther than this. We can stop here- "

Cass starts to run. He runs towards the noises of earth bending thrown and he was headed to Axel. A bright light makes Axel turn around and he sees Cass pointing at him.

"Cass, stop!" I yell and he shoots it anyway and Axel blocks it with a rock, but Cass jumps over it and I hear Axel yell making me hurry and I notice it gets quiet.

"Axel!" I yell and my heart jumped out as I looked past the rock and blood drops on the ground.

Cass hand was on the blade that was stabbed into his torso. Axel twists the knife in his body and Cass grunts in pain and then stumbles but Axel held in the knife in.

"A-A-Axel, wait stop." I say and I grab Axel's hand, but Axel gripped the handle even harder.

"Why… This shit is the reason why we are down here in the first place. He stole the prince, he took you hostage and then he tried to kill you multiple times. I'm tired of letting anyone pass who tries to kill the ones I love!" Axel yells at Cass and Cass falls onto his knees and Axel pushes the knife further making Cass close his eyes in pain.

"Axel, we don't need to let our enemies change us. We can't let anyone change us. The plan wasn't to kill no one unless we had to- "

"He is trying to kill you, Amy! Many times!" Axel says to me and he looks at Cass who had blood seeping from the side of his mouth.

Cass tried to stand up, but Axel tightened and pushed it down in him further and he falls back to his knee. Both me and Axel hands were becoming covered in Cass's blood and Cass coughs out and his grip starts to loosen on the dagger lodged in him.

"Axel. He is done."

Axel stares at Cass and then he looks at me.

"Just let go. He lost."

"How do you know that?" he asks me and then steps closer to Cass who stares at Axel. "Are you done!? Are you going to surrender?!"

Cass eyes moves to mine and then he nods his head. He starts to nod his head more once he looks back to Axel. Axel gently lets go of the dagger and I pull it out carefully. Cass covers the wound with his hand once I pulled it out of him.

I place Axel's dagger in my pocket while lean down to Cass's wound.

"It didn't hit nothing important, but it is definitely a stab wound. You should use some of your shirt to stop the bleeding." I say and I notice that Cass didn't move right away but then he takes his shirt of carefully and wraps it around his torso.

"Thanks for not killing me, Princess" Cass says and Axel scoffs and takes some steps back.

"Yeah… but can you tell us where Sonic is?"

Cass eases up and his squinted in pain, but he raised his arm up to the a wall. "He… he is this way. I can show you… since you already spared my life."

Cass walks slowly to the wall and I follow him, and Axel stands where he is making me turn around.

"Are you coming? We need you to open the path." I say and Axel shakes his head and starts walking.

"I know we are going against our plan like I said before we got here, not letting up on them but after seeing Maria… I think everyone here is just very traumatized and we can definitely deal with them later. It's Sally who is the problem."

As I turn around my heart drops as I see Cass holding a sharp rock in his hand and before I could even tell him to stop or defend myself it goes slams left to the side of my face. I hit the floor and I feel a sharp pain in my ear and my face as I hit the ground.

My ear was ringing loudly and sounds of yelling and the ringing would fade in and out. My hand shakily goes to my ear and I touch as the ground vibrates and I feel my ear. As soon as I touched it, I stung so bad making me cry out and I slowly gain the courage to touch it again and I moved my ear.

I pushed my ear back and the other bottom half didn't move with it.

"My ear… it's spilt from…" I stop talking because I noticed that I couldn't even hear my shocked words come from my own mouth. I snap my fingers near it, and I heard nothing but a ringing. A headache came with the blood dripping down my neck, and I turn my head to see Cass and Axel fighting.

"AHHHAHAHAHA! YOU REALLY THOUGHT SOME STAB WOUND WAS GOING TO STOP ME!" Cass eyes were back with energy and he was shooting lightning everywhere, blowing up the rock Axel was creating. "YOU BOTH ARE TOO SOFT! NOW I AM TAKING THE PRINCESS!"

Cass smiles big and shoots at the ceiling, making more rocks fall and I cover my face from the dust. The dust disappears and I see that there was a huge block off from me and Axel now. Cass turns to me slowly and he blushes.

Cass destroyed the ceiling and now it was blocked off by multiple boulders.

"You are bleeding quiet a lot." He says walking up to me and I watch him approach me in shock and he leans down and moves my head to the side to see his damage that he created.

"What's that thing you told me? Oh, you said I was done. Haha, such a silly. Crazy how it's the other way around now right? Now, you are done! I win!" Cass grabs my arm and gets me to my feet and even my left eye started to look blurry, but I blinked it away.

"Hm? Did you hear me- "

I swing my hand to his face but catches it and squeezes my wrist hard making me fall to the ground. His overpowering my made me grab his hand on my wrist to pry it off.

"O-Ow!" I yell and he stops hurting me from looking at my pain.

"Stop fighting. I win. Unless you haven't gave up yet. Have you?" he asks.

"N-No… I haven't" I say and he lets go of my wrist and I get up slowly but he kicks me hard in the stomach, knocking the breath out of me.

He pushes me over on my back and I roll over back to my knees and hands and I stand up and wobble while covering my ear.

"He damaged my ear. I can't hear. I have to shake it off. Sonic… he…. He needs me."

"You also dropped this cool dagger when you fell" Cass shows me the dagger that had blood on it, and I notice that was the one Axel stabbed him with and then he shows me another. "Actually, you dropped two… but I am going to use the one I got stabbed with to stop you from having this hope of saving the Prince."

My face was hot from being hit so hard and my ear was giving me so much pain, but I tried to focus on Cass throwing the other dagger behind him. Cass stops and turns behind him and stares at the rocks and he starts to laugh hard.

"Did you hear that?! Your friend wants to save you so bad but what he doesn't know is that throwing these huge chunks of rock isn't going to be enough time to save you!" Cass yells.

"I can't even hear Axel. My ear is shot."

Cass charges at me and I couldn't even think what to do so I just stumbled back while approached me.

"Why… do I keep giving them chances. Shadow was right. I keep letting my princess feelings get in the way!"

Cass swings the dagger out trying to cut me again and again. I grab his wrist and he pushes the dagger to my face and I try to push it back but instead he just lifts his free arm and punches my already damaged ear and I fall to ground.

"Ah!" My ear radiates in sharp pains and Cass jumps on top of me.

Cass grabs both of my wrists and slam them down and he laughs while he moves closer to my upper body and sits on my torso.

"Time to break you down. Bit by bit since you don't want to give up. Just tell me when stop and I will." He says and I open my eyes and I watch him grab a random rock and pull it far back behind his head.

"I deserve this. This is my punishment for thinking that I could be friends with the enemy-"

Cass hits me hard in the same spot on my ear and I yelp out in pain and I feel more rumbling on the ground.

"Ahh… your sounds of pain. So, deliberating. And you still won't give up." Cass rubs his fingers on my two wrists he was holding down, and he brings the rock back. I lean my head to the side and my blood starts to cross my face.

"Give up soon, as much as I love to hear you cry out, I don't want to mess up my princess's face too much." Cass breathes heavily and blushes while looking at the side of my head and gives me another hit that makes my legs thrash up.

My vision started to become affected by the hard blows and my ear wasn't even ringing anymore. It was silence and pain. I could barely feel my hot blood seeping from it anymore.

"Oh, princess… just give up already." He says and I look at him slowly.

"Give up?" I say shakily and I turn my head back to him while I listen to the vibrations of rocks on the other side with my good ear and nothing on my left.

"You are just going to have to kill me. I refuse to give up to anyone… like you. I never will."

Cass lowers the rock, and he starts to look confused.

"Why?" he asks sternly, and I smile softly.

"My friends haven't given up and nor has Sonic. So why would I?"

Suddenly the earth around us sinks in and me and Cass falls far into a deep dark hole. I hit the ground on my side and Cass falls off of me. I grab my side and I grab the wall for support.

"Amy! Climb out! Quick!" Axel yells and I see him looking down at from the hole.

Axel creates rocks sticking out of the walls leading all the way to the top to where he was, and I jump on the first one I see and I start climbing fast.

"NOT WITHOUT ME!" Cass yells and he follows me in the process as he climbs up and he is right on my tail as I try to go as fast as I can. Cass reaches for my feet and misses barely as he scratches my ankle trying to bring me back down with him. I climb rapidly up the wall and Axel reaches down for my hand.

"Amelia come on!" he yells, and I wince from my ear hurting as I climb as fast as I can.

Cass keeps on laughing like a maniac and I can hear him on my neck, but I see Axel's hand in reach.

"Just a little closer…"

I notice I was close enough just to jump into his hand and I do so. Axel, gripped my hand and pulled me up but then Cass grabs my ankle and I look back to see him grinning and then he grabs it with his other hand.

"YOU CAN'T RUN FROM ME! IT'S SUSPOSED TO BE ME AND YOU PRINCESS!" Cass pulls harder on my ankle Axel pulls back with the same force.

I turn with Axel holding my wrist and I slam my foot in Cass's face and that makes him smile and laugh even more. He was feeding off of my fear and pulls even harder.

"YOU CAN'T SAVE HIM! YOU CAN'T!" Cass yells and I frown and heat boils in me and I look Cass angrily.

"YES, I CAN!"

Fire erupts from my foot and that makes Cass let go and dodge it but what Cass forgot was that he wasn't holding onto the rock so he fell back down and Axel pulls me up to him and wraps his arm around my back and I bury my face in his shoulder. Axel stands up and he slams his foot down and a large pillar slams into the hole, crushing Cass in it and I cover my face from the loud sound of slamming. Axel breathes hard and I slowly turn to see a pillar filling the hole.

Axel stands to his feet, lifting me up with him and we carefully walk to the hole and Axel lifts the pillar up and we peak inside to see if he was still living after that. The pillar comes out slowly and Axel places it on the ground we were on and he raises the ground and brings Cass's body to us. Cass's body was bruised, and he was bleeding from his mouth with his arms spread out from being crushed. I didn't see any chest movement and he didn't move at all.

"Is… is he dead- "

Cass eyes open and he starts to laugh quickly, and his chest rises up and down and his red eyes look into mine.

"A… fire bender…no way…" Cass says weakly, and he starts to lean up slowly making me stand behind Axel.

"I knew you… had two abilities- "

Axel slams the pillar back on him and he freaks out because Cass survived that.

"How is he still alive?!" he asks looking at me and I grab Axel's arm and pulls him back.

"I'm not sure… "I say softly, and Axel lifts the rock back up to the ceiling and Cass arm twitched and he leaned up again, but Axel slammed it back on him.

"Die, damnit!" Axel yells and I clench Axel's arm as he raises it once more Cass was looking at me with blood leaking out of his nose and mouth.

"I can't die… not until I have her!" Cass disturbing laugh echoes to my good ear and Axel turns to me.

"H-How is he still alive… how- "

Axel moves the pillar to crush him again, but Cass just destroys it with lightning and flips up to his feet and cracks his neck. He walks over to me like he didn't just get crushed three times with a boulder and Axel pushes me behind him.

"You either get out the way or you die too." Cass threatens Axel and Axel shields me. "Fine! I was just going to kill you anyway since you are trying to take her away from me!" Cass charges lightning and he points it at us.

"Amy, run." Axel says.

"No, give me something to hit him with." Axel gives me a rock bat and we both dodge the lightning and start fighting him head on. Cass ducks under the bat I swing at his head. My ear was starting to ring again while I attacked him, but it stopped once he smacked on the side of my head and I groan out but keep going. Axel runs at him and gets Cass backed up to a wall and Cass leans down to grabs the knife he left by the wall and slams it in Axel.

"Got you!" Cass yells and Axel falls to the ground and I charge at Cass.

"You bitch!" I raise the rock up and Cass grins and jumps at me. Suddenly the ground shifts and Cass fall, and I swing the bat hard at his head, breaking it in two.

` Cass falls onto the ground and I swung hard at his head and even lightning blasts over my head. I cover my ear and pain while Cass lays on the ground. I drop the bat and I walk close to his body and he doesn't move.

"If he wanted to the chance to take me then he would have done it."

I use the wall for support of my increasing headache, and I breathe heavily.

"Is…is he done?" Axel asks behind me on the ground and I nod my head as I stare at him and I turn around.

"Yeah… he is." I say softly and then a bright flash flickers to where I was just looking. My head slowly looks back and I look down to see him smiling at with his bright finger pointed at me.

"If I can't have you, then you are just going to have to die." Cass says and I knew it was going to be too late move, so I watch it crackle.

"I let my guard down… again."

"AMY, NO!" Axel yells and I close my eyes because I knew it was too late for even him to save me.

"BOOM!"
