It didn't take long to get to Levi's room, mainly because his room was not too far away from Stella's. When they got there, he quickly shut the door behind them. When Stella gave him a funny look, he replied, "Until I know that you aren't a normie, I don't want people seeing you in my room with me… No offense," Stella nodded, "You know what, none taken. I completely understand…" That's when she took a good look around his room, "Wow… Your room is beautiful… Kinda like an otaku paradise…" Levi smiled proudly, "Thanks, this took hundreds of years to collect…" Stella laughed unsurprised, then saw a bookcase full of thick, hardcover books that were as big as encyclopedias, "The Tale of the Seven Lords: The Lord of Shadow Awakens… That sounds really cool…" Levi walked over, "You haven't heard of TSL? And you call yourself a human!"
Stella looked down embarrassed, "I'm sorry when you're a poor college student there really is so much anime you can invest in…" Levi sighed, "Well even though you've been kinda wasting your life by not knowing about TSL, I'll do you a favor and teach you about it, so make sure you pay attention!" Stella nodded and tried finding a place to sit, eventually Levi let her use his gamer chair as long as she promised not to ruin it, which she did with sincerity. Levi spent a good 15 minutes explaining the lore, characters, and multiple versions of TSL, which was honestly really fascinating. Stella enjoyed listening to someone explain why they were so passionate about a series. Levi wouldn't admit it, but it was nice talking to someone who would actually listen to him go on a rant about TSL.
After a while, he remembered the real reason he brought Stella up to his room, "Sorry for the rant, it just… You have to know about TSL if you're going to call yourself an otaku…" Stella nodded extremely fascinated, "It sounds so amazing, tomorrow I really want to watch it… So what did you want to talk about Levi?" He nodded, "I don't think that there's any harm in just coming out and saying what you already know is true: Mammon is a complete and utter scumbag," Stella winced slightly, 'Sheesh, you're supposed to be his brother… That's pretty harsh…' Levi got her attention, "It's very important that you understand this. So I'll say it one more time. Mammon is a hopeless, Worthless, Scumbag."
Stella nodded, "I see…" Levi continued, "I lent that scumbag money, and now I want him to pay me back, but he won't do it." He went on to explain how Mammon won a super rare figurine and refused to let him have it, just to make him suffer. Stella understood his rage when he explained how Mammon left the Seraphina figurine in a plastic bag on the floor for it to gain dust, "I tried rescuing her, but he was too quick. No one but Lucifer or Beel is as fast as him. But…" he turned to her, "Say, a human mad a pact with Mammon, and bound him to their service…" Stella was starting to understand what he meant and finished his sentence, "Then he'd have to do whatever that human told him to do! I could order him to give you Seraphina and he'd have to do it!"
Levi smiled, "You know about pacts?" Stella smiled back embarrassed, "I've seen a few tales about humans making pacts with demons before, but I'd rather not give my soul…" Levi nodded, "I'll help you negotiate with Mammon, you need to give him something after all… Now, I have a plan, and I'm going to explain it to you now, so listen. You're going to offer Mammon something that he wants so badly that he'd do ANYTHING to get it. Something that Lucifer has..."
The next day Stella was so excited for school that she could barely eat, she was trying to find her fast class when she accidentally bumped into a fellow student, "Ah! Sorry!" She muttered embarrassed and started to walk away. Then the student yelled, "Hey, there." Stella turned around nervously as the white-haired student walked towards her, "Your name's Stella, isn't it?" She nodded, then he handed her back her D.D.D., "This D.D.D. her belongs to you, right? I saw you drop it just now. Here take it." She looked surprised and smiled gratefully, "Thank you, what's your name fellow student?" He smiled back, "My name's Solomon, I'm an exchange student from the human world, just like you. Nice to meet you, Anna."
She shook his hand and said, "Nice to meet you too Solomon. Thanks for your help, I hope to see you later!" Then she headed to her classroom while waving her hand goodbye. He waved back and headed to his class as well. While searching for her class, Lucifer walked up to her, startling her slightly, "Good morning, Stella. You've become quite the celebrity here, haven't you?" After calming down, she laughed and replied with, "Good morning, Lucifer," He gave a small smile, "Were you able to get a good night's sleep? I have to say, you look much better than when we first met." She nodded as he continued, "Was that Solom I saw you talking with earlier? You and he are the only 2 students from the human world here. Seeing as you're both human, it's fine if you associate with him, but know that he can't be trusted."
She tilted her head curiously, Lucifer cleared her confusion by responding, "He may be a mere human, but he has a ring imbued with wisdom, and he wields powerful magic. He's the type of man who will try to subjugate even a powerful, greater demon if he gets the chance." This reminded her of her conversation with Levi and how he said that in order to make a pact with Mammon, she'd have to find out where Lucifer hid Mammon's credit card, Goldie. It wasn't gonna be easy, but she didn't see any other way to force Mammon into a pact. While lost in thought, Lucifer asked her, "What is it, Stella? Is there something you want to ask me?" She said quietly, "I… I would like to know more about Mammon…"
Lucifer looked surprised, "Mammon? Why do you want to know about him all of a sudden?" She shrugged embarrassed, but Lucifer continued, "Still, I guess it's only natural, considering he's the one assigned to look after you. Was there any particular reason you asked, or were you just curious?" She thought about it for a bit, then asked, "What one thing is most important to Mammon?" Lucifer quickly gave her an answer, "That would have to be money. fF you took all of his money away from him, what else would be left in his life? Nothing." Stella thought grimly, 'That's really sad. If you only had money to give your life meaning, then living would totally suck…'
"Money can take a lot of different forms, of course. But regardless of the form, as long as Mammon has money, he'll spend it. There are no limits with him. So, in order to impose limits of my own, there's a certain form of money that I've frozen in his case…" She was about to ask what he meant by 'frozen' when the bell rang, "That's the first bell. Class is about to start. Time to get going." Stella nodded, "Just one thing before you go, can you help me get to class?" Lucifer gave a small smile, "Sure…" and he guided her to her class, for which she was grateful for the extra assistance. Thanks to his help, they were both able to get to class on time.
The rest of the day was peaceful, she paid attention in class and had delicious, yet interesting-sounding foods. By the end of the day, Stella was very satisfied and ready for a good night's sleep. However, when she was in her favorite fluffy PJ's and in bed, her mind started to wander. 'Lucifer said that there were 7 brothers… But…' She counted off the brothers on her hand… 'Lucifer, Mammon, Levi, Satan, Asmodeus, Beel…' she turned to face the cracked open door, "Who is the youngest?"Just then her D.D.D. went off, and she grabbed it off the nightstand. Levi had sent her a text, ^^You say Lucifer mentioned having frozen something? Are you absolutely sure that's what he said?^^ Stella quickly replied, ^^Yep, I'm absolutely sure.^^
Levi was quiet for a bit then, he messaged, ^^Come to the kitchen. Right now. Don't tell anyone what you're doing. I don't want Mammon or Lucifer to find out what we're doing.^^ She blinked in surprise, 'How am I supposed to meet Levi in this!' She got up and quickly looked at her outfit. The giant heart on the front of her shirt looked kinda cute, especially with the heart-dotted pants she was wearing. All in all, she didn't look too bad, but she gave her hair a quick brush and put it in a quick braid so that it wouldn't look too frizzy. When she finally got downstairs she noticed that someone else was in the kitchen, more specifically the fridge. At first, she was scared that it was a ghost or something, but it turned out to be just Beel.
"Ah, perfect timing. Listen, do you have any food on you? Because there's not nearly enough in the fridge. And I'm hungry…" Stella felt around in her pockets for a snack, and surprisingly found some crackers which she pulled out, "I got some crackers if you want them…" his eyes widened as he quickly snatched the crackers, which quickly got devoured. Stella laughed at how quickly they disappeared. After finishing he turned to her and asked curiously, "So what're are doing in the kitchen so late?" Stella looked around and said embarrassed, "I was hungry and wanted a snack…" Beel smiled knowingly, "I understand. When you start feeling hungry in the middle of the night, it's not like you can just wait until morning to eat. Oh and the refrigerator's empty. I already ate everything in there."
Stella started laughing at how bluntly Beel was acting, then he asked, "Is there something you want to talk to me about before I go look for more food?" Stella quickly remembered the question that was keeping her up and asked, "Who is the 7th brother, Beel?" He immediately got serious and brought her closer, "Now listen, don't you ever mention him in front of Lucifer," Stella got kinda scared at how somber he was being, "Just so we're clear, I'm not going to tell you anything either. Lucifer would yell at me if I did. And don't bother asking any of my brothers, either. No one talks about him. Even though he's our brother… we have to treat him like he doesn't exist… It's not right. But since no one can defy Lucifer..."
He looked really sad for a moment and wanted to say something, but quickly changed his mind, "You know what? This isn't any of your business, human. I'm leaving. I've already eaten everything there was in the refrigerator now anyway. I'm pretty sure Lucifer is hiding a poisoned apple in the desk in the study…" Then he left without another word, leaving Stella to wonder what happened to the youngest brother that made it so no one was able to talk about him anymore...
