Here we are with chapter two and thanks to those who reviewed the last chapter. I appreciate it and my friend appreciates it too. I hope you all will enjoy chapter two, along with the chapters for the other stories. Getting them, all done has not been easy, but still don't mind doing them.
Now then, the story is going to take place a few years after the Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea. I had asked my friend to see if he'd prefer it if we did this during the second movie, but he felt this was a better solution. Honestly? He's not wrong.
Now, last time we saw King Triton telling his daughters a story. A story that perhaps will have a connection in this story. I mean, that's a dead giveaway. But it will be different than how my friend had it originally planned.
Still, we hope you all enjoy how this will go and let's get on to the disclaimer. I don't own anything owned by Disney except the OCs of my friend. Also, again I'm doing this for my friend who can no longer work on my projects. Enjoy the chapter everyone.
Chapter II
*Narration*
I find myself alone on a ship. One that looks a lot like the one my father used. But there's no one around. Not a soul in sight, except for myself.
I looked around hoping to find someone familiar, but as I called out for someone to respond, all I got was complete silence. I try again, but this time, no sound came from me. I seemed confused y this and wonder how this could have happened. Perhaps I'm on some sort of cursed ship or something else.
I soon looked down to find myself wearing my royal dress. Not something I would normally wear onboard my father's ship, unless we went to visit another royal family.
I began making my way around the ship. Looking for anyone familiar. Trying again to call out for my family and friends, but again, nothing came out. I appeared to be all alone, and I'm afraid.
I found my way towards the edge of the ship. Perhaps I can swim away and get back to shore, but as I looked out into the horizon, I found a fog. A thick fog that kept me from seeing where I'm at. I did look down to see the water and found it to be dark.
A dark scary water, which made my body shiver with fear.
I prepared to move away from the edge when I heard a sound. It sounds like a man. No. A woman.
Close. It sounds younger though, like a girl. She looks to see a figure appearing from the fog. Sitting on a rock, appeared to be a girl. One that appeared to be her age.
Signing a gentle melody, but she didn't recognize the song.
I tried calling out to her, but again, no sound came. I tried to find another way to get her attention, while I hear her sing the lyrics to her song.
It was a girl. A girl around her age perhaps or even one younger singing a song. What song is she singing? She couldn't hear what it is as I tried again to speak.
"Yo Ho, Yo Ho. A…life for me…" I couldn't hear what she said in the middle of her singing. So, I leaned out trying to hear better.
"We pillage, we plunder we rifle and loot. We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot. Drink up my hearties Yo Ho. Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me…"
A pirate's life? Why would she be singing a song about pirates? Why would she be singing something like that in the middle of the ocean on a rock? All alone?
Suddenly she stopped singing and I took notice of her body twitching. Her body beginning to make a bone cracking sound. This made me take a step back when I heard this as her body slowly began turning around. All before she goes back to singing that song, but in a more chilling and scary tone.
"Yo ho…yo ho…a pirate's life for me. We kindle and char in flame and ignite…" the girl's body begins turning more over as I covered my mouth in horror. "We burn up the city, we're really a fight…Drink up me 'earties, yo ho…" to my horror the girl looked decomposed, as her skin was melting off her skin. "Yo ho…yo ho…a pirate's life for me."
I tried to run away when I felt a hand grabbing my shoulder. I let out a loud gasp, before slowly turning my head up to see who's hand it is that's touching me. To my horror, I saw this monstrous man appear before me. His skin pale as the moon, sharp teeth, a cold dead eye, and it let out a loud scream at me, causing me to finally let out a loud scream.
*End of dream*
The young girl shot up from her bed yelling before she began panting heavily. Her hands gripping her bed sheets, while sweat is dripping from her body. The young girl appeared to be in her mid-teenage years with long black hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. She began looking around nervously, before realizing she's in her bedroom.
With no signs of that horrible monster and undead girl. She begins looking under her bed carefully, before finding nothing there. She begins slowing her breathing to try calming herself down. It was just a bad dream, she thought.
Just another horrible bad dream.
She lays back on her back, while wiping away the sweat from her forehead. She began slowly getting out of bed, knowing she couldn't stay in bed for too long. She could already see the sun beginning to rise. It was early in the morning, so she knew going back to sleep was out of the option, especially how there's no way she can go back to bed anyways.
She begins getting out of bed, slowly. Wanting to take her time and regain her composure. She soon makes her way to the dresser with her mirror. She sits down in her chair and begins looking herself in the mirror.
Looking exhausted.
"Why am I having these dreams?" she asked herself as she recalls how this isn't the first time, she had a dream like this before.
For the last few weeks, she's been having these horrible nightmares. Nightmares that have her appearing in different locations. One was on a beach, a jungle, a large cave, and now on a ship. She didn't understand what was happening or why this was happening. She knows she should tell her parents about this, but a part of her told her not to.
Maybe not to make them worry or maybe just because she didn't know what to make of these dreams…not yet at least.
"Melody? Are you awake?" the sound of an older woman came from her door, followed by some knocking.
The girl, now revealed to be Melody cleared her throat and wiped away the last of the sweat, before she replied. "Y-Yes. I'm awake now, mother. Just give me a minute."
It has been four years since Melody found out the truth about her mother and her family. How her mother was a mermaid, how she came from the kingdom of Atlantica, to how she met Melody's father, to why they kept this a secret from her.
They did this to protect her from Morgana. A magical sea witch and sister to Ursula, the one who used her mother to steal the trident, which belongs to Melody's grandfather, King Triton. Melody though did meet with Morgana and was tricked by her to get the trident. Thankfully though, they defeated Morgana, she was told the full truth by her family, and was able to finally go to the sea as much as she wanted.
The door soon opens and in came an older woman. One with red hair, blue eyes, fair skin, and wearing a royal gown. Her name is Ariel, once a princess of the sea, and now queen. Married to her husband, King Eric.
She sees her daughter and smiles at her, before walking over to her. "Good morning. I'm glad to see you're already up and I didn't have to wake you up."
Melody knew since her nightmares began; she's been waking up early in the morning. But never told her parents about the nightmares since she didn't want them to worry.
"I figured you know, I'm getting older, and I need to wake up on my own," Melody lied as she tried to brush her hair, but clearly was still a little shaken by what she dreamed.
Ariel noticed her having trouble brushing her hair but figured it's because it was still early. "You may be getting older, but it doesn't mean you can't ask for help."
Grabbing her daughter's brush, before she begins fixing her hair. All the while making sure she's ready for today. "I know it's still early, but are you ready for your class today? Do you have everything ready for it?"
Melody nods silently as she feels her mother comb her hair. "Mom? Can I go out to the beach today instead of going to my classes?"
The mother stopped brushing her daughter's hair and looks down. Her motherly senses are telling her that her daughter is troubled by something.
"Is something wrong, sweetie?" she asked in her motherly concerned tone.
Melody shook her head in response as she tries to explain her reason for skipping her classes. "I was hoping to go swimming and have a little fun. You know, before the rest of the day, since I know it's going to be kind of…hectic?"
Ariel knew though her daughter was not being truthful, at least somewhat. She knew today was indeed going to be hectic, but she knew something else was wrong. She's been told by her tutor how her daughter hasn't been paying attention in class. She's been dozing off, seems more focus on the sea, and not following some of the lessons she's been taught.
Ariel understood, especially how she had to learn how things worked up here in the surface world. But she knew her daughter did need some fun and have some free time, especially with how much work she's been given.
"All right, but just for a little while. I know you don't like these classes, but you need to focus too. They're very important. And they will help you later in in life," said Ariel as she wants to give her some bit of fun, but also has to make sure she does her lessons.
"Once you finish, you come back to your classes and then get ready for the planning. I want you to be around when we go over how your party is going to go, okay?"
Melody understood and is thankful her mother is giving her some chance to blow off some steam but wasn't happy about what she had to do later.
"I know that, but do I really have to do that? I mean, whatever you guys have planned I'm sure will be fine like always," said Melody who knew this part is what she's been trying to avoid.
"Yes, but this time it's different. This time, it's more because it will be your sixteen birthdays soon and your father feels you should take part in the preparations," especially since Ariel knew most of the high-class noble families will be visiting.
Something Melody is not looking forward to the most. Mostly because many of the noble families don't like her or her mother. Oh sure, she made friends with a few of the noble kids, but not everyone else. Considering how they haven't accepted her for being a freak that came from the sea.
"Yeah, well…I don't think it really matters since none of them are going to like being here anyways. All of them are being forced to so they can kiss up to you and dad, while trying to play matchmaker with me and their spoiled kids," said Melody who was being pretty blunt on the noble families.
"Melody, they're not…" Ariel stops herself knowing that her daughter's response was mean, but not untrue. "Fair point. But these families also help support our kingdom and our people. We must continue to make a good impression with them. Otherwise, things will go badly for us."
Ariel knew it was more going bad for their people, but she knew her daughter was still not happy about this. So, she leans in and whispers into her ears. "If it makes you feel any better, we don't like any of their kids either. You're much sweeter than they are."
As she said this, Melody began giggling softly. Ariel is happy to hear her daughter cheering up, before she gives her a kiss, which made the teenage girl groan.
"Aww mom. I'm not a little kid," said Melody who didn't do it out of annoyance or anger, but more playfulness.
Ariel giggled softly and nods knowing that was true. "But you will always be my little princess," she soon finishes with her brushing and ties her daughter's hair in a ponytail. "Anyways, just please come back in time for your classes and I promise to get you some of those colorful shells when the ships dock in today."
Melody's eyes widened with what her mother said, before getting up and gives her a big hug. "Oh, thank you so much and I promise I'll pay more attention in class."
"I know you will," said Ariel as she returned the hug and leans down to kiss her head. "Now, go get your things and I'll tell your teacher you are running a little late."
Melody nods as she rushes to her closet and goes to get her bathing suit along with her bag. Ariel meanwhile, leaves the room to allow her daughter to change, before she runs into her husband.
"How did it go? Everything okay?" Eric asked as he appeared in his royal clothing.
"Everything went well," said Ariel as she walks with her husband down the hallway. "Melody is just going to go for a nice little swim, before going to her classes later in the day."
Eric didn't seem surprised by this and had a feeling his wife would do this. "Well, hopefully it will go well then. Still, we're going to need to talk to her soon about well…that thing before her birthday."
Ariel sighed softly knowing what her husband means and isn't sure if she can tell her. "I know, but I don't want to add more to what's on her mind than she already has. I feel like she's hiding something from us and if I tell her about this, she'll shut us off."
Eric knows this is true. This happened before and Eric doesn't want a repeat of what happened. "So, we wait until she's ready to tell us…okay. I don't want to force her to tell us the truth about this. But remember, once we talk to her about that thing, we need to reassure her we're not going to force her to choose who to be with."
Ariel remembers and is glad that Eric was in complete agreement with that. "We both want her to find that special someone to be with, like we did."
Eric indeed wants what's best for their daughter, especially since they know she has plenty of time to choose who to be with. "Well, let's hope she won't do everything like you did."
Ariel knew her husband was trying to lighten the mood, but it didn't stop her from playfully slapping his arm. "Ha ha, funny. Don't worry. With Morgana gone, I doubt we have to worry about her meeting any sort of sea witch. And besides, she's a smart girl."
A smart girl that Ariel knows won't let herself get fooled or get manipulated. At least, not like before. Ariel knows her daughter has grown wiser. She won't let anyone trick her like Ariel years ago to be with someone she loves.
"I know Melody will find that special someone," said Ariel as she walks down the stairs with her husband, knowing their daughter will find her true love, like her. "Someone kind, caring, trusting, and will be there for her no matter what."
Eric smiles at his wife before leaning in to kiss her on the cheek. "And someone to be there to tell her, they love her."
Ariel blushed a little when her husband kissed her and with what he said. "Of course…I love you, Eric."
"And I love you too, Ariel," the two soon embraced in a kiss.
Both happy with how their lives have turned out and hope that the same will happen to their daughter. They know it will take time, but they're confident that their daughter's true love will find his way to her.
London, England
The citizens of the city are seen going about their day. Going to work, shopping, and going back to their homes. With the rich appear to be carried back to their homes in their carriages to count their money and eat their fancy meal. While the poor work tiredly to provide for their loved ones and bring them food to eat.
As morning began to come in, the city is engulfed in a fog. A thick fog, which made it difficult for the people to see. It didn't stop them from going about their day though, since this kind of weather around London is common. Though they did hope that the sun when it rised it would break through the fog.
That was until they noticed a thick layer of clouds appeared to prevent the sun from shining down on the city.
While the citizens dealt with their every day lives, in another part of the city lies the docks. There a large gathering of people is seen preparing to watch an execution. Not just any execution though. It's the execution of a pirate.
The people looked on excited to see this execution, as they see the carriage carrying the prisoner heading their way. The driver has the horses drive them towards the gallows, while armed British soldiers are seen guarding the carriage. Ensuring the pirate can't escape.
While it is just one pirate, the people of London have been led to believe that even one pirate is still dangerous and won't hesitate to kill them if given the chance.
Near the gallows stood one of the royal judges along with the executioner. Waiting for the call to be made to pull the lever and send the pirate to their death. Speaking of which, the pirate, seen with a bag over their head has arrived. The guards help the pirate from the back, before bringing the prisoner up the steps.
Taking them towards the center of the gallows, where the noose is seen waiting to wrap around their neck.
The judge begins clearing his throat and pulls out a scroll before he begins to read from it to the public.
"Today we are here to carry out justice. Justice against this individual for her crimes against the crown," said the judge as the crowd cheered loudly.
"The crime this man has committed is that of piracy," said the judge as the crowd begin booing loudly, before he continued to speak. "And for this, she has been found guilty of this crime. The punishment shall be death by hanging!"
The crowd cheered loudly again as they chant for the pirate to be hanged. The judge puts the scroll away, before turning to the prisoner. "Does the prisoner have any last words to say before the sentence is carried out?"
As he said this, the judge pulls the bag off the prisoner's head, revealing the pirate. She appears to be in her teenage years with short black hair, brown eyes, and light brown skin. She also appears to be wearing a dark brown pants with belt, black boots, white long-sleeve shirt with black vest over shirt, and black jacket. The crowd gasped when they saw the pirate, but not because she looks so young.
But rather because it's a female pirate, which is rare for them to ever see.
"First off, you all really need to clean that bag. It smells as bad as your mum," said the girl, which got a small chuckle from some of the crowd.
The judge motions for one of the guards to smack the girl in the back of the head. The girl didn't seem amused by that but kept on going.
"Secondly, you really need to learn how to take a joke. Is this really how you treat a lady?" the girl asked as she turns to the crowd. "If that's the case, I hate to see how you treat your own wife and mother…oh sorry, I forgot you're not married."
The judge has the guard hit her again before he leans close to her ears. "You aren't a lady. You are a pirate. A dangerous criminal that must be put down for their horrible unspeakable crimes that they've committed. Not just against the people of England, but of the world."
The crowd begin cheering and even begin calling the girl names, which caused her to simply smile and begin chuckling.
"Against the people of England and the world huh?" the girl continued to laugh, which left the people, including the judge, soldiers, and executioner confused. "So, the crimes you all committed on the natives in America, they were justifiable? The massacre of men, women, and children were all okay then? Yeah, no that was all okay for you guys. While pirates are much worse, despite never actually doing any of the things you're people have done."
The judge could see what the girl said seem to influence the people, with some looking away due to the shame of their people's history.
This angered the judge as he slaps the girl. "Silence! Who are you to judge us, pirate?! You are a criminal and your crimes have led you here to be punished. So, let's get this over…"
"Wait! Hold on a second," said the girl as she spoke up and interrupted the judge. "There's two more things I want to say. The first is where's my hat? And the second is what are my crimes again? I mean, you guys arrested me yesterday claiming I committed some crimes, but you never told me what they were exactly."
The judge simply laughs as he shows the scroll. "I already told you about your crimes. Your crimes are that you are a pirate. How do we know this? Because we know who you are," the judge then turns to the people and tells them who the girl is. "This girl is the granddaughter of the notorious Edward Teach aka Blackbeard the Pirate."
The crowd lets out a loud gasp as they look on in horror. Knowing full well who Blackbeard is, since only a fool living under a rock wouldn't know who this pirate is.
"That's right!" the judge continued. "We received word that this child was seeking a crew to carry out her blood-thirsty grandfather's piracy in London and kill all of you good people."
The crowd soon began booing at the girl as they began throwing rotten vegetables at him. The guards back the crowd back since they needed to get the execution underway. Unaware that something shining is seen over the rope for the noose. With only the girl appearing to be aware of this.
"As for your hat," the judge turns towards one of the guards holding a black tricorn hat with a medallion attached to it. "I believe we'll be burning this hat, but I'll be keeping the medallion as a souvenir. Now, if we're done…"
But once more, the girl began to laugh as she caused the people's boos to die down. With the people looking on confused on why she's laughing.
"Y-You gu-ys thought I came here because of Blackbeard? That's hilarious!" the girl laughed out loud as she begins to try regaining her composure but was still laughing a little. "I don't give a damn what that bastard wants. He could go to hell for all I care, which good news for me, he is."
The girl soon begins to calm down, before her focus turns to the people. "You're not wrong though. At least on why I came here. I came here for information, not a crew. I came here looking for information about my father, who you will never guess who it is."
The judge looking annoyed simply puts the scroll away and turns to the executioner. "Hang her."
The executioner puts the noose around the girl's neck. The men nearby are seen using their drums as they begin playing on it and once, they stopped the girl will be hung. The judge looks at his pocket watch and sees the time. Once it got to the time, he motions for his men to stop drumming and to hang the girl.
However, just as the executioner is about to hang the pirate a bright light is seen attacking the executioner causing him to yell. The guards go over to check on him wondering what is going on as the executioner is screaming about a bright light in his mask. The commotion causes him to back away and push the guards down the stairs as they all fall together.
The judge tries to reach for the lever, but the girl leaps up and kicks the judge in the face. Knocking him away, and when she came down, the rope snapped. Freeing her from being hung. She then gets her hands freed, with ease as the people begin to back away.
The light flying around soon grabs the girl's hat and brings it to her, before she puts it on. She then turns to the judge before tipping her hat as she pushes the judge into some of the guards. They came rushing at her, but the judge caused them to get knocked down. The girl ran over towards the cannon and grabs some rope.
Tossing it over a tall beam that's near a building, before seeing the guards recovering. The guards stop when they saw her aiming the cannon at them. She gives them a small bow before lighting the fuse. The guards all run away as the judge begins to recover.
He sees the cannon and where its aiming at before he jumps out of the way. Just as the cannon fired the cannonball. He dives into the muddy ground, while the cannon recoils back. Allowing the girl to be zipped up to the rooftop after holding on to the rope.
She soon begins running along the rooftop as half of the guards opened fire at her, while the other half begin climbing the roof. The girl managed to avoid getting shot as she kept on running. She jumps to the next few buildings before she finds only one building left for her to run towards. This gave the guards a chance to climb to the rooftop, where they aim their weapons at them.
The girl turns towards the guards as they aim their weapons at her. The girl didn't seem worried though. Instead, she kept her arms out before the light from before flew over her. Sprinkling her with some sort of dust, one that was sparkling.
The girl soon falls backwards, which caused the guards to look on shocked. Believing she took her own life, rather than getting shot. However, they noticed the lack of a loud thud sound. They look at each other confused by this and begin walking over to see what happened.
Looking over the edge of the rooftop, they found no body.
Almost as if she disappeared, which left the guards confused. Until they heard a voice behind them saying. "Heads up!"
They look over to see the girl flying past them causing the guards to all to lose their balance and fall. Thankfully a carriage carrying manure came by, so the guards all landed in it.
The judge, meanwhile, began to get up from the muddy ground. Covered in it as he wipes away the mud from his face. The judge turns around and gets hit in the face with a rotten tomato, curtesy of the girl he tried to hang. The judge wipes away the tomato and looks on in horror when he sees the girl is floating above him.
"Mr. Judge, let this be the day you almost caught and killed the daughter of the famous pirate Captain Jack Sparrow, Gabriella Sparrow," said Gabriella as she gave a small smile.
The judge screams as he tries to run, but Gabriella grabs him by his collar and drags him over the dock towards the water. The girl soon flies off towards the fog, all the while her laughter can be heard echoing across the harbor. The judge pops out of the water and begins coughing. He watches as the girl disappeared, before noticing his powder wig floating by him.
"She's the devil. The actual devil," said the judge before he swims to shore.
Out of sight of the soldiers as Gabriella spots her ride. A boat that she had already out in the water, before getting caught. She lands on the boat before getting the sails going. Taking out her compass, she begins to let out a small sigh as she got her notepad out to write some stuff down.
"Well, that was a wasted trip," said Gabriella as she hears a ringing noise, before she nods in response. "I know he wasn't there, but I had hope to at least find my grandpa…the other one. But I guess he wasn't there."
The ringing can be heard again as the light moves towards her hat. "Yeah, I know. We'll need to keep searching, but we need to lay low for a while before we can set sail," she then looks down at her boat and knew this won't do. "And get a better ship than this little boat."
Looking at her map, she begins thinking of where they can go. "Hmm. We'll head here," she points to a location in Denmark that they can go to. "Let's head here and see if we can find us a good ship to st…commandeer. Maybe while we're there we can find some clues on where my dad is at."
The ringing can be heard ringing again, clearly not happy with them stealing. "It's not stealing," Gabriella argued. "I fully intend to return the ship once we finished. I promise," said Gabriella as she looks out to see them sailing out of the fog and towards some sunlight.
"Now then, let's get going and let's hope we don't run into another storm," said Gabriella as she begins singing 'Yo-ho Yo-ho a pirate's life for me' as the boat sails towards their next destination.
That's the end of the chapter and yeah okay so originally my friend's OC was a male. But then after some time thinking about it, he wanted it changed to a girl. So, made a few changes and there we go. Jack Sparrow has a daughter.
Also, before anyone asks, yes this is set before the fourth film. By about a few months or maybe less than a year. We haven't really picked a proper time, but it's before the fourth film. Also, yes Angelica is Gabriella's mother.
Does she appear later in the story? I want to say no, but since I'm still running this by with my friend, I can't say yes. Still, how will things go when Gabriella meets her dad? How will that meeting go?
Think it will go better than how Jack met Angelica in the fourth film? Think he'll be fine with having a kid? Unlikely, but who knows. Or will this have to wait till the fourth film?
Anyways, thank you all for the support for my friend and he appreciates all you've done guys. If you like how this chapter went, then please leave some reviews. Just nothing negative please. See you all next time, take good care, and have a good day.
