Here we go with the eleventh chapter, and I want to thank everyone for the support. My friend appreciates the support for his old story and is glad it's getting better than the last two times he tried this. It's a slow progress, but I told him more people will like it. In time.
Thank you though for the comments on the story and glad you're enjoying this. Now then, last time, we saw Gabriella coming in time to save Ariel, Melody, and Lapis. Saving them from the anthropomorphic Undertow. We also saw the mysterious woman who's been working with Titus has arrived.
Who is she? What is she up to? What is Titus planning to do with his brother and his family? Will Gabriella and the others stop the pirates or will the bad guys succeed in their plan?
Tune in today to find out everyone. Now, time for the disclaimer. I don't own anything owned by Disney except the OCs of my friend. Also, again I'm doing this for my friend who can no longer work on my projects.
Enjoy the chapter everyone.
Chapter XI
Tirulia
King Eric and his guards all stood ready from their modified barricade that they had set up. Using the tables and chairs to set up as a wall. To help them for their upcoming fight with the pirates. They had managed to get one of the canons over to help them, but they didn't have any ammunition, so Eric sent one of the guards to find some.
Eric made sure to let his men know where he wanted them and to stay behind their barricade. He didn't want to risk them jumping over the barricade to fight the pirates. Instead? He wanted the pirates to come towards them.
Have them climb over the barricade and allowing them to take them down.
The pirates can be heard breaking the door apart, trying to get through and attack the ones who are standing in their way. Eric knew it won't be long before they get through. He just hopes they're going to be able to hold them off. Until the rest of his men come back.
Speaking of which, he saw his men from upstairs making their way down. "Oscar. Did you and your men take down the pirate threat upstairs? Are my family safe?"
"We've managed to take down a few of the pirates, but we found the majority of them had been taken down by one of the guests," Oscar gives the description of the guest, how it's a girl, and she told them to go somewhere else while she dealt with the pirates. "The way she fought the pirates, we've never seen anyone fight like that before. Some of the men even looked a little intimidated."
Eric too looked pretty surprise. Mostly because he knew who this girl is that Oscar described. "Gabriella? It can't be."
"Sir?" Oscar asked looking confused. "You know this girl?"
Eric was stunned to hear how this young girl who he met was not only a capable fighter but was taking these pirates down. But the more he thought about it, the more he figured he shouldn't be too surprised.
She did say she traveled the seas, so it only made sense she would have learned how to defend herself. And if she's taking down these pirates, then they have little to worry about.
"And my family? Where are they?" Eric asked.
"I sent a few of our men to go to your bed chambers. The girl told us that's where the queen and your daughter were going," said Oscar as he recalls what the girl told them before they left. "Do you believe they'll be safe there?"
Eric knew if that's true, then Ariel must be going for the safe room. "Yes. They'll be okay there. In the meantime, let's focus on taking these pirates."
As the door is being broken down, Eric's men that he sent to get the ammunition for their cannon had returned. They begin packing the cannon, while Eric orders his men to get into fighting position. While he begins removing his royal jacket, to allow him more freedom for his arms. He got his weapon ready, before he gets ready to fight.
"Get ready," Eric begins ordering his men by the cannon to get ready. "Take aim," as Eric said this, he and his men cover their ears to avoid getting their ears blown out.
The pirates soon broke through the door and begin charging at the royal guards, before Eric he orders his men to open fire, having the men fire the cannon at the pirates charging towards them.
Meanwhile
Inside the palace, Ariel made her way through their home to take her daughter and the unconscious Lapis towards the bedroom. There, Ariel knew they'd be safe. There, she knew they'll be able to avoid the pirates and wait until the fighting is over. And hopefully, her family will all be okay.
They had run into Gabriella earlier, who surprisingly, not only defeated Undertow, but showed she could fight. Surprising Ariel herself and Melody, who didn't expect to see her best friend to be a fighter. Sure, Gabriella said she's capable of taking care of herself, but they didn't expect it to be like this. Melody wanted to stay with her friend, but with the pirates still on the loose, Gabriella told them to get away.
To get somewhere safe. And so, Ariel intends to do just that.
They made it to her bedroom and opened the door to find no one inside. Ariel sighed in relief, before they head inside, and she locked the door behind them. Ariel begins setting Lapis on the bed, while she goes to the closet. Melody goes to check on her friend and is thankful to see she's still breathing."
"Mom, do you think Gabriella will be okay? Don't you think we should have stayed with her?" Melody asked while she sees her looking for something.
"I know you're worried about her and so am I," said Ariel as she moves the dresses aside in the closet, while looking for the secret button they had installed. "But you saw what Gabriella did against Undertow. I don't know how she did it, but she was able to beat him."
She then found the button and pressed it, causing the wall in the closet to open and reveal a secret room. "So, I have no doubt she's capable of taking care of herself," said Ariel before she heads back to the room. "Now, we need to go."
Melody looks behind her mother and sees the hidden room. "Mom? How many secret doors did you and dad make?"
"Well, your grandparents had some of them made before your father was born," said Ariel as she recalls the stories that Eric's parents had told her. "Your father told me about them after we got married. And I had memorized them in case Morgana ever came after you."
Melody didn't expect this at all. Not that she's complaining. Her parents had every right to be cautious, especially after what they've been through. But pirate attacks was something she never expected them to go through.
"All right. Let's go," said Ariel as she got the door open and goes to pick up Lapis. "Go in first before…" suddenly they hear a loud thud from the door, causing one of the hinges to come off.
Without any hesitation, Ariel grabs hold of her daughter's hand and leads her towards the secret room. The moment they got to the closet though, the door is flung open and goes crashing through the window. Knowing they won't have time to get in and close the door, Ariel hands Lapis to her daughter and pushes her in the room. Melody cries out for her mother, but Ariel quickly presses the secret button, closing the door, and keeps the girls safe.
Ariel soon hears some noises behind her and soon turns around. She sees its three pirates, all with their swords on hand, and all eyeing the queen. Ariel moves her hand away from where the button is at and tries to put on a brave face. As long as her daughter and Lapis are safe, then she didn't care what they did to her.
One of the pirates begins approaching her, while holding his sword in his right hand. He looks up and down at her before he begins to chuckle. "So, you must be the queen, huh?"
Ariel kept a brave face, while refusing to let him intimidate her. She was scared, but she cared more that the girls are safe from the pirates, than focus on her own fear.
"The boss had ordered us to find you and your little girly," said the pirate before he begins looking towards her cleavage. "But it has been a while since we had our fun with a woman before."
Ariel knew where he's looking at and took a step back. She knew what he's planning to do, but she knew she wasn't going to let him have his way with her.
One of the pirates though takes a step forward and speaks out against his comrade. "Hold up there. The captain gave us specific orders to bring them back to the ship, unharmed."
"I'll be gentle with her. As long as she behaves," the pirate moves his blade against her dress, looking to cut through it. "What do you say? Want to behave like a good queen?"
Ariel moves her right hand over towards the shelve, where she keeps her shoes and grabs one of the high-heel shoes. She then swings it, hitting the pirate in the face with the heeled part of the shoe.
"Do not lay a finger on me, filthy pirate," said Ariel using words she never thought she'd ever use. "I am the daughter of King Triton, the king of the merpeople. If you lay a finger on me or my granddaughter, you will feel his wrath."
Ariel knew pirates feared her father. They were afraid of him and for good reason. When they killed her mother, he swore to destroy any pirate who'd dare try to harm his daughters. So, she hopes using this will help cause the pirates to turn tail and flee.
The two pirates behind her backed away when they saw what she did. This was not what they expected from someone of royalty, but they knew this was a mistake on her part.
The pirate, who got hit, begins to recover and scowls at the queen. He swings his weapon and slashes her shoe in half, before he aims his weapon at her.
"That was a big mistake, you bitch," said the pirate as he looks to do her harm. "Fuck what the captain said, I'm going to teach you a lesson on how to behave properly."
Before he could lay a finger on her, a large tentacle appeared from behind the two men, and wraps around the third man's neck.
Ariel gasps from this and presses against the wall out of fear, as the pirate before her is being lifted off the ground. He begins choking as he lost his grip on his sword and tries to get the tentacle off his neck. The other two pirates turned around and pull their swords out, but both of them are grabbed by two more tentacles. They're soon tossed out the window and to their deaths, as the two pirates screamed before the next thing heard was a thud.
Ariel looks on in horror from what just happened before she hears a very familiar song. One that send a chill up her spine as a woman began to appear from behind the pirate.
"Poor unfortunate souls. In pain, in need. This one longing to be thinner. That one wants to get the girl. And do I help them? Yes, indeed," the singing was sung in a gentle, calming, but cold manner, which didn't help make Ariel feel any better. "They come flocking to my cauldron. Crying, 'Spells, please' and I help them," the woman soon appeared as she finished her singing. "Yes, I do."
The woman wasn't who Ariel thought it was, but the smile she gave did remind her of…Ursula. The woman appears to be in her early 20s. With long black hair, blue eyes, and light tan skin. She also appeared to be wearing an outfit that looked a lot like the one the pirates wore, only less dirty looking.
"Good evening," said the woman as she walks in while Ariel saw the tentacles were coming from her. From her arms as she had the pirate in the grip of her left arm tentacle. The woman looks over towards the pirate, who was gasping for air, his arms flopping to his side, and had a pleading look in his eyes. "Aww, what's the matter? Can't breathe? Can't speak? You want some help?"
The woman asked while she begins chuckling softly to herself as she brought the pirate close to her. She then turns towards Ariel and noticed a bit of a tear on her top, causing the woman to look back towards the pirate.
"Your orders were not to harm or lay a finger on the queen or her little princess. And you couldn't control yourself?" she asked while the pirate continues to gasp and gag. "But you can't help yourself, can you? You're only human after all and you have needs. Like the need to drink, sleep, eat, and even breath, right?"
The pirate gave a small nod, before he tries to speak up. To beg her for forgiveness and let him live.
The woman begins moving her right hand to his face and stroke it, while she speaks in a gentle tone. "Aww, you're sorry, right? You want to be forgiven? You want me to free you of this pain?" the pirate again, gave a small nod, wanting to be free. "Then, I will help you be free of the pain."
The woman's expression soon goes from one of a gentle, comforting look, to a cold, emotionless one as her right hand soon transforms into a tentacle and wraps around the man's head. Before she snaps it, killing him. Ariel gasps in horror as she covers her mouth and looks on terrified at what happened. Not only did this woman just kill the pirate, but she did it without any hesitation.
The woman soon throws the body out of the closet to the middle of the bedroom. The woman soon turns towards Ariel and walks over to her, with her hands going back to normal.
"Good evening," said the woman as she introduced herself to the other. "I do apologize for that. I know you've probably never seen someone be killed like that before, but I just…" she looks back towards the dead pirate and sighed before she looks back to the queen. "I just don't like it when these idiots don't do exactly as they're told. Still, there's more like him from where we got him, so no harm, no foul."
Ariel remained silent, while trying to recover from what she witnessed. She not only saw this woman appear out of nowhere and killed these pirates, but her appearance. There was no mistake about it who she's related to. If this is the case, then she now knows who's behind the attack.
The woman took notice the fear in her eyes began to waver a little. She then noticed her looking down to her arms, before she begins to realize she's putting in together who she is. Or at the very last, has an idea who she's related to. She begins moving her right hand up and begins placing her index finger on her chin.
"I know you've got a lot of questions and I'd be glad to answer them all, but unfortunately for you, I'm on the clock," the woman then pushes her against the wall and pulls a long sword from her sheath. "Now then, where's your daughter? And before you decide to refuse, keep this in mind, if you try wasting my time, then I'll make your dear little husband suffer. Just like I did with those pirates."
Ariel gasps with what she said and knew she meant it. Despite this threat though, she refused to let her know where her daughter is at.
"My father—"
"Your father is currently getting his ass kicked by my captain," said the woman who cut off Ariel.
Ariel gasped in response but knew it couldn't be true. "N-No way. My father has the trident."
"And my captain has a sword that protects him from the power of the trident," the woman swings her left hand and slashes through Ariel's dresses, showing she's done playing games. "Now, you have two choices. Bring your daughter out from her hiding spot and come with us peacefully. Or else, I'll drag you down the stairs by your hair, and force you watch me execute your husband."
Ariel had so much going through her mind. She couldn't let her get to her daughter and risk her safety. But if what she's saying is true. About how her father is losing to the pirate captain, then she has to try finding a way to save him.
It was then she remembers something. Something she overheard one of the sailors mention in the event of a pirate attack.
"Last chance. Five…four…three…two…" the woman began her countdown, forcing the queen to give up her daughter or else.
"Parlay!" Ariel shouted out loud, causing the woman to stop and look confused.
"What?" the woman asked looking confused.
"Parley," Ariel replied before she explains it. "It means any person who invokes parley is protected and will be brought to the captain to negotiate without being attacked until the parley is completed."
The woman looked on dumbfounded with what the queen said, before she chuckles. "And what makes you think you're in any position to negotiate?" said the woman before she moves her left arm up but is soon grabbed by a tall seven-foot dark skin man, no hair, but wearing a similar pirate outfit like the woman.
"What do you think you're doing, Marina?" the man asked while speaking with a deep tone.
"Isaac," the woman now revealed to be Marina replied, with anger in her tone. "Take your hands off me, you idiot."
"The woman has invoked parley. So, we are to take her to the captain, unharmed," said Isaac as he made it clear what they're going to do.
Marina scowls towards the man and wanted to tear his arm right off, but after a moment, she began to calm down. Cooling off and begins to put her sword away, allowing Isaac to free her arm.
"When he's not around, I'm in charge, don't you agree" Marina asked.
Isaac looks over towards the queen, before turning back to Marina and gives a small nod.
Once she got her answer, she turns towards Ariel. "So, what are you offering, your highness?"
Ariel had hope to make this deal with the captain of the group, but if she can make a deal with her, then she'll save everyone. "You came here for me and my daughter, right? I'll go with you peacefully. I won't fight you, I won't resist, and I'll do whatever you need from me. Just spare my people, my family, and friends."
"A brave offer, but not enough," said Marina, before Isaac leans down close to whisper to her.
"You said we need only one of them to get what the captain needs. Rather than waste more time trying to get her daughter too, why don't we just take her and leave?" Isaac suggested.
Marina knew as much as she hated to admit it, but Isaac is right. If Ariel hid her daughter, then they can't waste any time like this.
Marina turns towards the queen and extends her hand. "On second thought, you got yourself a deal."
Ariel hesitated to shake her hand, since she wasn't sure if she could trust her or not. "Y-You'll keep your word, right?"
"But of course. I always keep my word," said Marina as she waits for the queen to shake her hand.
Ariel again, hesitates to do so, but decided to do this. If she is who she thinks she is, then she'll keep her end of the deal. Once the two shook on it, Marina begins motioning for Isaac for them to go. She begins walking out of the closet first, while ordering the other pirates that were waiting out of the room to follow her.
Isaac turns towards the queen and motions for her to come out. "Your highness, let's go, please."
Ariel hesitated for a moment, before looking back at the secret door where she put her daughter in. She wanted to run back and go in there with her, but she knew she has to save their family. If this captain is after her, then she'll keep her end of the deal to protect her family. Even if it means she'll have to leave them behind.
She silently says goodbye to her daughter before she walks off to follow Isaac and Marina.
Melody on the other hand wasn't ready to let her mom leave with the pirates. Despite being locked in the room, she could still hear everything. She overheard what happened, who this woman is, and her mother offering herself in exchange for her and Lapis' safety. Melody struggled to get the lever open, but it was stuck.
Lapis begins to come to and begins to come to as she rubs her head. "Oh man. What happened?"
"Lapis! Are you okay?" Melody asked as she goes to check on her friend.
"Y-Yeah. I think so," said Lapis as she looks around to find where they're at but sees no signs of Melody's mom. "Mel, where's your mom?"
"The pirates took her," Melody replied as she struggled to pull on the lever. "Come here! I need your help. We need to save her."
"On it," said Lapis as she goes to help her friend.
Lapis knew they should stick to hiding out and wait till the adults find them. But if Melody's mom is in danger, then they should go to try saving her.
"On three," said Lapis as she grips the lever with her friend. "One…two…three!"
The two girls begin pulling the lever down and begin to pull it down. This caused the door to open and allowed them to escape.
"Come on, let's go!" Melody took her friend's hand and began chasing after the pirates.
Flashback
"This is too hard," said a young boy, who appeared to be around 12 years old. He appears to have short brown hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. "How do you do this, big brother?"
"It's simple, little brother," said the older brother, who appears to be 14 years old. He has long brown hair, blue eyes, and light tan skin.
Both appeared to wear a white chiton, with a royal gold symbol around their waist. While they also appear to be outside in a garden.
"You're gripping the sword too tight. When you swing it and it collides with another weapon, it will send shockwaves through your hand. Very painful ones, which will cause you to lose your grip on your weapon."
The older brother explains this by pulling out his own sword and taps them against one another. Making a humming vibrating sound, which can be heard all around them.
"That's why when you're going into a fight, the point is to not grip your weapon tightly. Instead?" The older brother walks over to his little brother and has him grip the weapon, but lightly. "We keep our grip on it light. Not too light, which will cause us to be disarmed. Rather have it on light enough for you to be able to move your weapon around better."
The younger brother tries to grip his weapon the way his brother instructs him to hold it. The older brother checks to see if his brother is gripping the weapon right, before he ends up fixing it a few times, until he got it right. Once he did, he orders his brother to swing the weapon around. Twirling it by the handle, before swinging it side to side, up and down, before thrusting forward.
"Better?" the older brother asked. The younger brother gives a small nod before his brother begins backing away. "Good. Now, let's see if this time you'll do better this time around."
Taking out his sword, the older brother turns towards his younger brother, standing in fighting position. The younger brother takes a big gulp, before he assumes his own fighting pose. The two stared at one another for a moment, before the older brother begins moving forward. Slowly at first, before he begins running and swing his weapon.
The older brother swings his weapon, with the younger brother blocking his attack with his own sword. He could feel some bit of pain after their swords collided, but it didn't hurt like the first time. He managed to keep his grip on his weapon, while able to move it around with ease and block his older brother's attacks. The older brother moves his weapon around going for high, low, and side to side attacks.
Trying to keep his younger brother on his toe, while also forcing him to move around. Work on his footing, while keeping his defense up.
The two brothers continue fighting around the garden, while they even fight around the pillars around them. With the younger brother beginning to lose his footing, which the older brother took advantage of. The older brother trips his younger brother and causes him to fall to the ground. The older brother moves his weapon close to his younger brother's neck, while smiling.
"You lose," said the older brother before he puts his weapon away and extends his hand to him.
The younger brother took his hand and is helped to his feet. "I'm sorry," he apologized, while trying to catch his breath. "I haven't trained as long as you, big brother. I'm not used to it."
"And that's why I'm training you," said the older brother as he begins walking his brother over to the balcony. "Father will be expecting us to one day be ready to defend our home. To one day protect our home and our people from those who try to attack us. He expects us to be ready for that if it ever happens. That's why I'm trying to help you, so you can be prepared."
The little brother looks down to the ground, while rubbing the side of his left arm. "But…but father has told us we don't have to worry about that. That we're safe here and that the humans are no threat to us."
The older brother chuckles softly, before he shook his head. "No, little brother. Father only says that because he doesn't want us to worry. Not to worry that humans are a threat. That they don't care about anything but themselves. And given any chance, they'll try to take everything from us."
The older brother turns to his younger brother and places his hands on his shoulders. "I know you want to believe we can live with them peacefully, but that will never happen. They're all a bunch of spineless cowards, savages, and incapable of any feelings. I've seen it, so has father, and one day you'll see it too. I just hope it will be before they try harming you or our home."
The younger brother knew he didn't see humanity the same way as his brother. His sister kept telling him how their brother is just being cautious. He's been hanging out with some of the guards for too long. So, he believes humans are dangerous and are monsters.
He wanted to tell his brother that he should give humans a chance, but he thinks back of what his sister told him. To give him time. To wait for him to see the good in humanity. But for now?
To just play along and hope he'll change his views.
"I-I understand…Titus," said the younger brother.
The older brother, now revealed to be Titus, gives his younger brother a small pat on the shoulder, before looking out at the city. "Don't worry though, Triton. If our home is ever invaded, I'll be here to protect us all from humans. Atlantis will never fall."
Tirulia (Present Day)
Triton remembers that day. He remembers the day his brother, Titus, had begun training him. Wanting him to be prepared for the day he would need to defend himself. To defend his family, his friends, and his home. Triton had never saw any need to train but didn't argue with his brother and went through with it.
Of course, his brother's fear of their home being attacked by humans had blinded him. It led to him ending up attempting to take over their home and try to wipe out humanity. It ended up not only costing him everything, but because of what he did, he ended up causing Atlantis to fall under the sea. Cutting their ties from the surface world and live under the sea.
Triton had hope he would never see his brother again. He had hope to live in peace with his people and keep them safe. He had hope for his days of fighting to be done. But it seems, fate had other plans for him.
"I suggest you keep your mind on the fight and not something else!" Titus shouted as he swings his weapon against his brother.
Triton snapped out of his thoughts and blocks his brother's sword with his trident. The trident glowed when the sword hits the weapon, which caused Triton to grip his weapon tightly and push his brother back. He tries to fire a magical attack from his weapon, but Titus swings his sword and knocks the trident away. This caused the magical blast to hit along the side of the castle.
Titus kicks his brother in the chest and knocks him down the stairs, leading down to the beach. Triton lets out a loud grunt as he hit the sand but managed to recover in time to avoid his brother flying at him with his sword. Triton rolls out of the way as Titus brought his sword down on the sand. Triton thrusts his trident towards Titus, but the older sibling managed to dodge it and rushes to swing his sword.
Triton avoids the blade by stepping sideways, and then delivers an elbow shot towards the face of Titus. The older brother staggers back but managed to recover as Triton swings his weapon to hit him. Titus ducks and tries to slash at his brother, but Triton blocks it with his trident. He pushes his older brother back, before once again firing a magical blast at Titus.
Titus though blocks it with his sword, causing it to deflect off the blade and hit the side of the hill. Triton looks on shocked by this, while Titus lowers his blade, which made a humming sound as the heat from the blade begins to cool.
"Surprised? Did you really think I'd come into battle without being prepared?" Titus moves his blade up and reveals it has written words along the blade. "I had this made from the children of Hephaestus. It may not be as powerful as father's old weapon, but its still strong enough to protect me from the power of this knockoff."
Triton didn't expect this at all, but then again, he should have. His brother was no fool. He wouldn't have gone into a fight without being prepared. Still, it didn't mean he was going to let this stop him.
"Why are you here?" Triton asked as he kept a firm grip on his weapon. "How are you here? Father had sealed you away, never to return to this world again."
"Oh, he did more than seal me, little brother," said Titus as he lifts his left hand up to reveal a ring. "The only reason I look more like this though, is because of this ring. A ring that was made for me by the daughter of the Sea Witch herself. The same one who freed me from my prison. I think you know who that is."
Triton didn't think about it too long before he knew who he was referring to. "Ursula. So, she's the reason you were set freed."
"But of course," said Titus before moving his right hand up. "She's the reason I even grew back my arm. The very same one you cut off, all those centuries ago."
"I did that because you were trying to kill our father. You were trying to destroy our home. The same home you vowed to protect!" Triton replied with anger in his tone. "You once told me humanity were the real threat to our home and they would destroy it. Well, look what happened. You're the reason our home sunk beneath the sea. And it's because of you, we lost everything."
"No! I was trying to save our home from being ruled by a weakling like you!" Titus replied angrily. "I was the one who would have protected our home from humans. I'm the one who would have kept our people safe from harm. But instead? Father chose you, a weakling who would rather live with the humans, than destroy them."
"Because they're not the monsters you made them out to be," said Triton who soon begins remembering the things he used to say to his daughters about humanity, and how so alike he was to his brother. "There was a time I despised humans too and believed what you told me was all true. But I was wrong. Not all humans are the monsters we made them out to be. And these people here are proof of that."
Titus scoffed at what his brother said, before pointing out towards the sea. "I have seen the ugliness of humanity brother. Just because the humans here aren't bad, doesn't mean the rest of them aren't. I've seen them kill for power, I've seen them enslave other humans, I've seen them wage war to expand their control, and I've seen them kill innocent people without hesitation. And how long will it be, before those very same humans come here to take over?"
Triton's expression turned to one of concerned and fear. He knew that this was true. He did remember Eric telling him of some of the things he had to deal with and how there were people who wanted to expand their territory around Eric's kingdom. Triton did fear one day something bad would happen, but he refused to do what his brother had once suggested.
"And your solution would be to do what? Wipe them all out? I refused to do such a thing, brother, especially since it would end up making us just like the humans. Becoming the very same monsters you feared," said Triton as his weapon begins to glow and he prepares to fight. "And I won't let you harm my family or the people of this land."
Titus sighed softly, before he looks down at his weapon and then back to his brother. "A monster, huh? Let me show you, what a real monster looks like then," he begins removing the ring from his left hand, which caused Titus' body to begin changing.
Triton's eyes widened from a look of shock to one of fear, when he saw his brother's transformation. Becoming the very thing their father had cursed him to look like, all those centuries ago.
Titus charges at Triton, who fires another magical blast towards him, but it is blocked by the magical sword of Titus. Titus swings his weapon and with the force of his attack, managed to knock Triton's weapon out of his hands. Titus swings and drives his elbow to the side of his face and knocks him across the ground.
Titus jumps up and brings his weapon down to stab him, but Triton moves out of the way and punched his brother. Knocking him back, as Triton goes to punch him again. However, Titus caught the punch and drives his left knee into his gut. This caused Triton to fall to his knees but feels his brother picking him up and throws him towards the hill, making a dent to it.
Triton begins coughing loudly as he struggled to get to his feet, but soon falls back to the ground. Titus leans down and grabs the trident, before he stood up and stares at his brother.
Triton looks over towards his brother and saw him holding the trident. "I-It looks like you got what you wanted," said Triton as he moves to a seating position, admitting defeat.
Triton knew now that his brother has the trident and he's defenseless, he has no chance of defeating him. He knew it and so did his brother, who now has his prize.
"All I ask, is you please spare my daughters, my granddaughter, and the people of this land. Please, have mercy on them and leave them be," said Triton as he begs for his brother to spare those he loves.
Titus begins walking over towards his brother. Twirling the trident in his hand, as it begins to glow. Titus soon stops in front of his brother, towering over him in his monster form. For Triton, it felt like he was a young man all over again. With his brother once more, showing why he was the better warrior.
Titus brings his sword down on the ground, before holding the trident with both his hands. He stares at his brother, with a cold intimidating expression. Before he brings the trident over his head and then brings it down on his right knee. Breaking the weapon in half and destroying it.
Triton looks on in shocked from this, as his brother destroyed the trident. The very magical weapon their father had tasked him to protect since his death.
Titus drops the broken weapon in front of his brother, before picking up his sword. "What makes you think I came here for this weak, pathetic, and inferior weapon? When I have a much bigger prize waiting for me. Unfortunately for you…" he moves his sword up. "You won't be around to see me finish what I began long ago."
Triton's eyes widened as he sees his brother prepare to finish him off, when suddenly they heard someone yelling at them.
"Titus, you son of a bitch, take this!" Titus and Triton look up and see someone flying towards them. A young girl, carrying a sword in her right hand, and wearing a torn-up dress, as she flies down to attack Titus.
A few minutes earlier
Gabriella kicks a pirate out a window and sends him falling to the ground. She begins laughing as she blocks the swords of the two pirates that came up behind her and managed to push them back. They charged at her, but she moves out of the way and kicks one of the pirates, sending him into the other. She then pulls on the curtains and begins to hog tie the pirates, keeping them from escaping.
Another pirate appeared and tried shooting her, but her fairy friend, Lara grabs the pirate by his shirt, and tosses him through the door. Another pirate swings his sword, but Lara managed to avoid the sword and flies behind him. She pulls him by the back of his hair and flips him over. She then flies out of the way, as Gabriella grabs the gun from the pirate who Lara tossed through the door.
When the pirate began to recover, she opened fire, and shoots him in the head. Once the pirate threat was dealt with, Lara flies down to Gabriella's shoulder as they turn towards the tied up pirates.
"All right, boys. You have two choices now. You either tell me where your boss is at or else, I'll toss your asses out the window," Gabriella threatened.
"In your dreams, girly!" said the pirate as he refused to give up his boss.
"And even if we did tell you, you wouldn't be able to beat him," said the other pirate.
Gabriella brings her sword down in front of the pirates and kneels in front of them. "You boys don't seem to understand who you're dealing with. I'm Gabriella Sparrow. Granddaughter of Edward Teach aka Blackbeard the Pirate. And the daughter of Captain Jack Sparrow."
"Gabriella?" one of the pirates asked who sounds shocked when he recognized the girl. "It can't be. You're supposed to be dead."
"Yeah," said the second pirate, who too was shocked too. "Captain Titus left you for dead on that island."
"Well, clearly I'm not dead and still here," said Gabriella as she begins moves her sword up and moves it on her shoulder. "Now, speaking of your captain. Where is he?"
"We'll never tell you," said the first pirate, who refused to tell her anything. "You will never defeat him. He will kill you and he will take over the…"
Gabriella jams her sword down on the man's arm, causing him to let out a painful scream. She kneels in front of the pirates again before she sighed. "All right, you idiots. I don't have a lot time or patience. You either tell me or you both go out the window."
To prove her point, she begins to pull the pirates near the window before she goes to grab them to toss them out.
"Wait, wait!" the second pirate began to scream for mercy. "He's outside, fighting the king of the mermaids!"
Mermaids? Gabriella knew there was no way Titus would do this. The man is dangerous, but not dangerous enough to fight the king of the merpeople. Right?
"There's no way he's stupid enough to do that, right?" Gabriella asked Lara, knowing that wasn't possible.
Wanting to be sure, Lara flies out the window and looks around, before spotting Titus. She flies back and goes to her friend's ear.
"It's Titus! He's fighting the king and it looks like he's going to kill him!"
"What?!" Gabriella runs towards the window and looks down.
To her surprise, she found Titus all right. Not only is he indeed fighting Melody's grandfather, but he's about to finish him off.
"Lara, pixie dust me," said Gabriella as she jumps on the edge of the window.
"No way," said Lara as she flew in front of her friend. "Absolutely not. You're not going to fight him. He's too dangerous. And look at him, he's going to…"
"You either give me pixie dust or I'll use these idiots as an anchor to fly me down towards him. Your choice," said Gabriella as she clearly wasn't budging. "Unless you want to be the one to explain why you didn't let me save Melody's grandpa, to Melody herself."
Lara knew she didn't have to tell the princess what happened to her grandfather, but she knew it wasn't going to stop Gabriella from doing it. She looks down at where the fighting is going on and sighed softly.
"Just please think happy thoughts. And no, killing Titus does not count," said Lara as she pulls out from her bag, a small leaf sack full of pixie dust.
"Right, right, happy thoughts," Gabriella begins to close her eyes and begins concentrating.
Okay, so just think about traveling the sea. Sailing the open sea on my father's ship, the Black Pearl. Gabriella begins thinking in her inner mind, while trying to find her happy thought. Sailing on the famous ship, going out on another adventure, and…and having that special someone by my side. Who accepts me for who I am.
And for some reason, when she imagined that person sailing by her side, she was thinking of that person being Melody. Having her in her arms, sailing with her, and the two laughing together, she didn't know why, but it made her happy.
Before she knew it, she begins opening her eyes and sees she's floating off the edge of the window and begins floating out of the palace. She looks down and sees Titus, before she took a deep breath.
"Just keep thinking happy thoughts," Gabriella begins moving her right hand towards a cross she had underneath her dress. Before she grips her weapon and had a serious look. "This one is for you, Padre Oscar."
Gabriella soon begins to fly down. Charging towards her enemy, while she swings her sword back as she prepares to attack. "Titus, you son of a bitch, take this!"
Titus and Triton look up and see someone flying towards them. A young girl, carrying a sword in her right hand, and wearing a torn-up dress, as she flies down to attack Titus.
Titus quickly pulls his sword over to block the attack, but the force in which Gabriella came in, sends her opponent flying. Knocking the pirate captain off his feet and sends him across the ground before he fell. Gabriella flew around and then lands on the ground, before she charges at Titus.
Titus barely got enough time to block her attacks with his own sword. However, due to being cut off, Gabriella was able to take advantage. Using her speed to avoid his attacks as she pulls out a knife. She slashes it across the side of Titus, causing him to let out a loud yell. He leans over and grabs her right hand, but she stabs him in the arm.
This caused Titus to yell once more, before tossing her across the ground. She managed to recover and charges at him once more. Titus pulls out his gun and tries to shoot her, but Lara flies down and stabs him in the right eye, causing him to let out a loud animalistic roar. Gabriella swings her sword and disarms his gun, before jamming her sword in his gut, causing him to back away in pain.
The sword didn't go all the way through thanks to the thickness of his monstrous form. However, the blade did pierce through enough to still cause him harm. He kicks Gabriella away, but she managed to push off the ground and flips backwards before she lands on her feet. Gabriella begins panting softly, while Titus begins panting heavily as he placed his left hand over his injury.
While blood came down his right eye as he look on in anger. His anger though grew when he recognized the girl and begins to growl.
"Gabriella Sparrow. You pirate scum," said Titus as his voice was filled with anger, but also was wincing a little in pain. "You're still alive."
"You look surprised," said Gabriella as she had a calmer tone in her voice, while she kept her guard up. "You should have known better than to leave me marooned on an island, especially given who my father is."
Titus seemed confused by what she meant, until he remembers hearing what the crew told him. About the girl's father and how he's famous for not getting out of situations that seem impossible. Like escaping from a deserted island. Titus though refused to believe in how he did it and knew it was impossible.
"I should have left you dead on the island like I did with your priest friend," said Titus as he regains his strength and aims his blade at her. "I guess this time I'll get a second chance."
Gabriella scoffed and put her sword away, before pulling out her gun. "Not this time," she then begins moving the weapon for Titus to see. "Remember this? You gave it to me so that I would use it on myself after you dropped me on the island."
Titus remembers the gun all right. His right-hand, Isaac had said this is what pirates will do to the one they maroon. The pirate has a choice to use it on themselves in order to end their live, then starve or die of dehydration. But if they're saved, then they can use it on the one who wronged them.
In this case, he's the one who wronged Gabriella. He begins to chuckle to himself, before moving his sword up to point at her.
"And what makes you think your little weapon will even harm me?" Titus asked knowing her gun won't be able to pierce through his body.
"Because this one has been made with a special lead ball. One that will not only pierce through your body, but will kill you," said Gabriella as she pulls back the trigger and takes aim. "And this one is going for your heart."
Just before she could fire it, they hear a cannon fire. Gabriella looks over and sees the pirate's ship has arrived and opened fire. She took cover as the cannon ball hits the hill, causing debris to fly around them. Titus puts his sword away and leaps into the water to escape.
Gabriella gets up and tries to go after him, but more cannon balls are fired at them. She begins running away and dives into the water to take cover. The cannon fire soon stops, allowing Titus to escape towards a rowboat from one of the group of pirates who began retreating. He's pulled into the boat and is taken back towards the ship, as Triton recovered and rushed to where his brother escaped, before hearing Ariel calling for him.
"Daddy!" Triton looks over and sees his daughter in the hands of a group of pirates. "Daddy, stop! Go find Eric and keep Melody safe!"
"Ariel!" Triton goes to grab his trident, but soon realized it was destroyed and didn't have his magic to save her.
"Keep your little princess safe, your highness," spoke Marina as she mocked the king. "Because you'll see us again, soon."
Marina pulls a vial from her coat and begins pouring it in the water. The moment the liquid from the vial hit the water, a thick fog began to emerge. Covering them and the surrounding area around them in the fog. Allowing them to escape into the fog. And even more, once they get to their ship, the fog will cover them as well.
Triton looks on defenseless as he watched the pirates escape with his daughter. This felt too much like when he watched on as his daughter was killed by the pirates.
Meanwhile, nearby, a small group of pirates are seen running out of the palace as they try to get to the rowboats. However, King Eric and his men chased after them, capturing the pirates. Preventing them from escaping. As they stopped the pirates, Eric looks out to the sea to see his wife being taken by the pirates.
"Ariel! Ariel, hold on!" Eric rushes to get to one of the rowboats, but his guards grabbed him and pulled him back as the pirate ship fired a cannonball towards them.
The guards managed to get their king out of the way of the cannon fire. However, the pirates who were in the range of the explosion, got caught in it. Getting killed and the rowboats all destroyed. Eric begins to recover but saw there was no way to get to his wife.
"Mom!" Eric turns to see his daughter running out of the palace with Lapis, as she rushes towards the water.
"Melody, no!" Gabriella rushes over and stops Melody from running towards her mom. "It's too late."
"No, it's not! Let me go! Mom! Mom, come back!" Melody screamed as she kept trying to get freed but was unable to get out of Gabriella's grip, but it was no use.
By the time she looked back towards where she last saw her mom, she was gone. Disappearing into the fog and out of sight of her loved ones. Melody soon felt herself falling to her knees and begins crying. She begins crying into Gabriella's arms, while Gabriella did her best to comfort her.
Eric begins ordering his men to round up the pirates they've captured from inside the palace and begin bringing them to the dungeon. While he also orders them to tend to the wounded. He then walks over towards his daughter, where Gabriella hands her off to the king. Allowing Eric to comfort his daughter.
"Shh it's okay. It's okay, Melody," said Eric as he tries to reassure her daughter it will be all right. "We'll get your mother back. Somehow."
Melody begins to sniffle as she tried to recover from her crying. She looks up to her dad and gives a small nod. Hoping they will save her mom and get her home soon. But still wished she had been the one to get taken instead of her mom.
Gabriella stood by watching this, while feeling a little guilty. Had she not monologuing, she could have killed Titus. She could have then gone to save Ariel and bring her home to her family. But nope, she messed it up and now she's gone.
She suddenly hears someone clearing their voice and looks over to see the girl Lapis, who was unconscious, standing beside her. "Um he-hello. You must be Gabriella, right? My name is Lapis. I wish I could say it was nice to meet you…not that I'm not happy to meet you, but I just wish it was under better circumstances."
Gabriella begins to nod in agreement. "Same here. But its still good to finally meet you," she replied before she looks out to see the guards walking over. "But um if you excuse me, I need to get going."
"You're not going anywhere," said King Triton as he walks over, looking pissed off. "Eric, have your guards arrest that girl."
"Excuse me?" Eric asked as he broke the hug for his daughter and stood up. "Why should we arrest her? She hasn't done anything wrong."
"Not true. She's a pirate," said Triton as he reveals what Gabriella is.
Eric, Melody, and Lapis turn towards Gabriella in shock. All three couldn't believe what Triton is accusing her of.
"Grandpa, that can't be true. Gabriella saved our lives and fought the pirates," said Melody who refused to believe what her grandfather is saying.
"It's all true. The one who led this attack not only confirmed she's a pirate, but she didn't deny this," said Triton before he turns towards Gabriella. "Tell them the truth."
Gabriella turns towards the king, before turning towards the other. Her eyes though wandering towards Melody, as if she's waiting for her to deny what her grandfather is saying. To prove what he's telling them isn't true. And that she's not a pirate.
Gabriella was afraid this was going to happen but is hoping that maybe with all she did to defend them, that maybe, for once, her heart won't get broken.
"My name is Gabriella Sparrow, daughter of Captain Jack Sparrow, a pirate," Gabriella admitted.
The shock look from the others said it all. They couldn't believe it. The girl they thought was a good, innocent, and caring, turns out to be a pirate. Not just any pirate though. The daughter of one of the most famous pirates of all time.
Gabriella looks back towards Melody, hoping to see her defend her or at the very least not look away from her. But instead? When she took a step forward to talk to her, Melody took a step back. Gabriella soon sees the look in her eyes going from a hopeful one to one of fear.
Gabriella's expression soon began to change as she saw the look from Melody, began flashing her back to the last person she believed would still care for her even after knowing her secret. Where even after saving their lives, even after risking her neck, and nearly dying, they still turned their backs on her.
Now? She was seeing the same thing from Melody. Causing Gabriella to take a step back and feel her heart once more breaking. She didn't even notice Triton ordering the guards to surround the pirate and take her in.
Gabriella only snapped out of it when she saw the guards approach her. Her feelings soon turn to one of pain to one of anger. She looks around, like a cornered animal, looking ready to attack. But when she looks over to see Lapis, hiding behind King Triton, she saw her fairy friend motioning for her not to fight back.
Not to attack the guards. Gabriella knew her friend was doing this to keep her from getting killed. When Gabriella looked around, she realized she was right. There was no way she was getting out of this alive if she tries fighting back.
She instead dropped her sword and begin moving her hands behind her back. The guards soon grabbed her and begin taking her away. As they walk away, Gabriella turns towards Melody one more time, before she gave her an angry, but painful look, and looks away. Melody saw the look she gave her and felt her own heart sink.
She saw she was angry but hurting. It made Melody regret what she did when she saw her take a step towards her. Melody wanted to say something when the guards surrounded her. She wanted to tell them to stop, but for some reason, she didn't. Instead?
She turned her away and refused to acknowledge her.
As Gabriella is taken away, Melody watched her father and grandfather begin rounding up their guards. To tend to the injured and locate the rest of the family. Once that's been taken care of, they'll begin to mount a rescue for Ariel. And hopefully soon, before the pirates get too far.
Melody begins hugging herself as she looks out to the sea, while a single tear came down her right eye. "Mom…what do I do now?"
That's the end of the chapter and it looks like things didn't go the way the good guys had hope, huh? Eric and his men managed to hold off the pirates, but the bad guys got away. We also got to see the introducing of Marina. I can tell some of you already have an idea of who she's related to.
While we also saw the vicious side of her. Good thing for Ariel, Titus' right-hand man, Isaac came to save her. But what do they want with Ariel? And will she do whatever they want?
We also saw Titus destroy the trident. If this isn't what he's looking for, then what does he want? We also see Gabriella and him have a history too. How will things go if they meet again?
Also, yeah, we knew eventually Gabriella's secret would be uncovered. But it's a shame it had to be this way. Will her and Melody make up for what happened? Or think it's the gallows for her?
Tune in next time to find out & thank you all for the support for my friend. He appreciates all the support for his story and if you like how this chapter went, then please leave some reviews. Just nothing negative please. See you all next time, take good care, and have a good day.
