From Aliceinwhumperland's Whump Words of the Day: 'You won't get away with this, I'll see to it! Personally!'

Lemaire paused, a frown on his face.

'I don't know what you mean.'

The man did look genuinely puzzled, and Scott paused a moment. Did the fool really not understand what he was doing? Going on past experiences that was entirely possible. Scott opened his mouth to reply when Lemaire continued.

'This is my ship. You came on uninvited. The last time you came on board one of my ships you left it stranded on Halley's Comet. If you think I'm going to let you leave and cost me another ship for no good reason…'

He stopped at Scott's growl. Unfortunately, Scott couldn't do much more than growl. Some kind of security system had knocked him out cold before he'd even had a chance to announce International Rescue was here to help. He'd woken up in what seemed like a brig, his baldric and accessories missing and one hand was tightly cuffed to the bars that made up the tiny prison.

'If you don't release me and let me do my job your ship is going to crash, killing us and whoever we land on!'

How the man still didn't understand the workings of the ships he flew was beyond Scott, but this time the man's level-headed wife Madeline was not here. She was usually the one who would deal with her husband, letting Scott get on with the rescuing.

'Nonsense. You IR blokes are always overreacting, and I'm sure you cause half the disasters you attend! That's certainly my experience!'

This time Scott snarled.

'You won't get away with this, I'll see to it! Personally!'

Lemaire merely shrugged and turned back to the console and his floating camera, which he turned back on and began addressing.

Once the man's back was turned Scott said a silent prayer of thanks to Parker and set about getting free of his prison.

They didn't have long if he was going to save them both.
