Here we go with chapter eighteen is here and I'm glad to be back here. Okay, so this was originally going to continue off with Gabriella and the girls in York. But then I remembered something, it's a little too early for the big fight to break out. So, I thought we could go back to the other characters.

So, this chapter will involve Attina and Urchin searching for the daughter of Hephaestus, the blacksmith for the gods. A little brief history. Hephaestus is the son of Hera, who wanted to have a child as payback for Zeus having so many affairs. The child though turned out deformed and so she tossed him off of Mt. Olympus. He survived and grew up with mortals.

Hephaestus made a chair for Hera, which turned out to trap her in the chair, and not even the help of the other gods could free her. With some help and convincing, Hephaestus agreed to free Hera, who didn't strike him down for what he did. He instead was reward and given his own place to work on whatever tools the gods needed.

He even got to marry Aphrodite. The balls on this man.

Also, this part of the story takes place a day before the girls arrive in York. Just so there's no confusion of when in the story this is happening.

So, think Attina and Urchin will be able to find the daughter of Hephaestus, Lyra? Think she'll be able to fix the broken trident? What will they encounter while looking for her? And will they make it in time to help stop Titus?

Tune in today to find out everyone. Now, time for the disclaimer. I don't own anything owned by Disney except the OCs of my friend. Also, again I'm doing this for my friend who can no longer work on my projects.

Enjoy the chapter everyone.

Chapter XVIII

Unknown Location

Between Europe and America, there lies an island. One that cannot be found on any map and one that cannot be found by mortals. It can only be found if the one who made the island wants it to be found. This island is the home to the child of Hephaestus, the former blacksmith of the gods.

The once mighty blacksmith of the Olympian Gods had asked Zeus to help him create this land for his daughter, Lyra. The king of the Olympians agreed and had the land made. A large paradise-looking island, with a large volcano in the center. And to ensure no mortals would find it, Zeus had cast a spell around the area.

Preventing any mortals from ever finding the land, while adding a few ways of how one can find it. In the case of Helios, the former God of the Sun, he was able to find it with ease as other Olympian Gods can find the island.

Helios is seen on his mighty fire chariot, taking Attina and Urchin towards the island. Thankfully for the two passengers, the flames were kept from harming the two. The former God of the Sun was once tasked with using his chariot to raise the sun from the east to the west. Across the sky, bringing sunlight to the world.

While his sister, Nyx, would bring the night to the realm. Allowing the mortals and creatures to slumber under the night sky.

Helios though retired along with the rest of the Olympian Gods when the world began to change. This caused mortals to slowly forget the Olympians even existed, so the Gods decided to leave. Leaving the world in the hands of humanity and hoping they can do some good on their own. This caused Helios and Nyx to leave their duties to be done on a natural day.

Allowing the sun to rise on its own and set, to allow the night to rise, before setting.

Despite this though, the Gods did from rare times to help the mortals when they needed guidance. Like how Helios right now agreed to help Attina and Urchin reach the island that belongs to Lyra, daughter of Hephaestus. In the hope of fixing the broken trident and stop Titus.

And stop whatever he's planning to do with the daughter of Triton.

"We're almost there! Do you see the island?!" Helios asked his passengers as he held on tight to keep his horses from flying off.

"I-I think so?" Attina replied while trying her best not to let go of the carriage.

"I can barely see it!" said Urchin as the poor merman held on tight for dear life.

"Oh right. Sorry about that," said Helios as he forgot that with the speed they're going, that it makes it hard for mortals to see properly.

"Hold on. Let me set them down," Helios uses the strap to force the horses down towards the island, causing both Attina and Urchin to yell as they held on, or they would fall to their death.

Helios' horses soon flew down till they straightened out before hitting the water. The force of their speed caused the waters to split apart for their path. The water that did fall on the horses got vaporized by the flames that engulfed them. Before long, the horses begin to slow down as Helios pulls hard on the strap.

The horses soon stop a few inches from the island, causing Urchin and Attina to sigh in relief that it was over.

Helios extends his hand to Attina and helps her up, while Urchin uses the chariot to help himself up. "We're here," said Helios as he points towards the large volcano in the center of the island. "The daughter of Hephaestus should be there in the center, where she has her workshop set up."

"In a volcano?" Attina asked who looked surprised by this.

"That's no ordinary volcano," said Helios as he explained what it is. "It was made by Hephaestus for his daughter as birthday gift. On the outside it looks like a volcano, but on the inside, its where Lyra works on her inventions. Some for the gods, some for mortals, and some for fun. All made using the primordial fire that was once stolen by the Titan Prometheus. The fires are also known as the Fires of Olympus."

Attina remembers hearing about that story. How he stole the fire to give to mankind before Zeus found out and punished Prometheus.

"Didn't Zeus leave him chained to a mountain and had an eagle or vulture peck out his liver?" Attina asked who remembers the barbaric punishment the poor man was given.

"An eagle yes, but Zeus later released him after a month later when he realized perhaps humanity could do some good with the fire," said Helios as he helps Attina and Urchin out of his chariot. "Zeus never kept him there for eternity but didn't tell the mortals this since he thought the lesson of trying to mess with the gods was one all mortals should try learning."

"I see," said Attina who is glad to hear Zeus wasn't like all the stories portrayed him as. "So, he never slept with other women and had fathered many children?"

Helios began to laugh softly as he shrugs his shoulders. "I mean, it was the ancient times. Back when stuff like that did happen. But surprisingly Zeus never did cheat on his wife. The only times he did father a child is because it was prophesized his child would become a hero."

It was one of the few times Hera didn't hate her husband and knew his children all did good. Even her own son, Hephaestus, who she was proud of for all his craftmanship.

Helios soon begins using his powers to form small glowing orbs on the ground and moves them along a path that is seen going into the jungle.

"Now then, the path to Lyra's workshop is through here. Follow it towards the volcano and you'll find her," said Helios as his orbs will help keep them on the path, they're on.

"Really?" Urchin asked as he noticed the pathway and saw how it didn't seem to go to a straight line. "It seems to curve ahead of us. Why can't we just go straight to the volcano?"

"Unless you wish to die a painful and horrifying death, I'd advise it," said Helios as he explains that Lyra had set up thousands of deadly traps all around her home. "Each trap, more deadly than the last. And the traps include the dangerous creatures that live on this island too."

"Creatures? What kind of creatures?" Attina asked before they hear loud roars echoing from deep in the jungle.

"You ever wonder what happened to the creatures that existed during the time of the Olympians?" Helios asked as he begins to chuckle softly before he grabs the strap for his horses. "Also, remember this. There are multiple paths you'll come across. Just follow the light orbs and you'll get to Lyra alive."

"And what if we do run into those monsters?" Urchin asked who sounds concerned about all of this. "What do you expect us to do?"

"Simple. Stay on the path," said Helios as he explained that the path is protected by a magical aura that'll keep all creatures from attacking them. "If you slip off the path though, they will be free to attack you. And if you don't follow the light orbs and it leads you to a different path that has any of Lyra's traps, then you're dead."

Attina looks back to the light orbs and understands why Helios has them set up for them. Just simply follow the path and they'll get to their destination.

"Now then, I should get going," said Helios as he prepared to leave. "Any other questions?"

"Hold on!" Urchin spoke up as he walked up to Helios. "If some of those mythical creatures really are on here, then how are we supposed to stop them? I doubt our weapons will be enough against them. And even if we get the trident fixed, how do we get back home? Does Lyra have a way for us to contact you?"

Helios leans down and begins to chuckle. "Well, first of all, if you're worried about the monsters, then don't go off the path and follow the lights. And secondly, once you get the trident fixed, you'll have a way home."

Helios pulls on the straps and the horses soon begin taking off, sending Urchin falling into the sand and be covered in the dust. Helios in his chariot flies up into the sky, leaving behind a trail of flames, before slowly they begin going out.

Attina walks over to help Urchin up as he begins spitting up the sand. While looking upset at Helios for leaving like that.

"Don't worry about it, Urchin," said Attina who wasn't upset about this. "We should have known he wasn't going to help us anymore than he already has," she sighed softly and turned to the jungle. "At the very least he left us a path of where we need to go."

"I guess," said Urchin who still wasn't happy about this. "Do you think if we really follow this path, we'll be okay?"

Attina has a look on unsureness but knows there's nothing much they can do. "I guess one way to find out."

"Yeah," said Urchin as he looked back towards the path and sighed softly. "I'm sorry for losing it there for a moment. This is my first adventure far from home and I'm just worried about messing it up."

Urchin loves Ariel and her family. He looks up to King Triton and owes them so much for giving him a chance to redeem himself. He wants to help them in any way he can. So, if he has a chance to fix the trident and help Attina get the power they need to stop Titus, he'll do it.

He's just worried though about messing it up and ruining their chance of saving Ariel.

Attina knew why Urchin was worried too. She knew there's a lot riding on this and has to do all she could to make sure they got the trident fixed. It's dangerous and she knows the types of mythical creatures that used to exist in Greek Mythology. So, a good chance they'll run into them.

The best they can do though is just push through and get to their destination.

"It'll be okay, Urchin. I'm scared too and I know there's a lot riding on this. But we can't let our fears get to us. We must get through this together and get the trident fixed," said Attina as she tried to pep Urchin up.

"And let's be honest, if Ariel was in the same position, we're in, she'd march through that jungle and get the trident fixed," said Attina who knew her sister, like her, won't let anything stop her from saving her family.

Urchin chuckled softly knowing it was true. Ariel would go far and beyond for those she loves. Whether they be friends or family. She'll do it, so he has to do the same too.

"We can do this. For Ariel," said Attina as she extended her hand to Urchin.

Urchin took her hand and nodded before they began walking into the jungle. Following the light orbs towards the volcano. As they walk, it felt like someone, or something, was watching them. They both though had to remind themselves what Helios told them.

Stay on the path and they'll be okay. Follow the light orbs and they'll be okay.

"So far, it seems like it's all going well," said Attina as she kept her guard up, while looking around. "A little spooky though."

"It's a lot creepier than any place I've been told," said Urchin who saw movement in the jungle, but when he rubbed his eyes, he saw nothing was moving. "I mean, this place isn't as creepy as Ursula's old lair, but it's still not a place I'd like to stick around."

"Oh, I don't know. It doesn't look that bad!" Attina and Urchin turn towards their left to see Sally, Scuttle's daughter, outside the path on a small tree branch "Sure, I've never been to a jungle before, but it looks nice."

"Sally?! W-What are you? How did you?" Attina was confused on how the little seagull was even here with them.

"Oh, I got in your bag before you all took off," said Sally as she explained how she got here. "Once we arrived, I decided to look around and so far, it doesn't look that bad."

Urchin took notice that Sally wasn't on the path and knew this wasn't good. "Sally, get back here. Stay on the path."

"What? Why?" Sally asked, not realizing the danger she was in.

Suddenly a vine grabbed Sally and pulled her deep into the jungle. Attina and Urchin rush to the seagull's aid and see her being pulled towards a large plant. The plant though began to grow as large vines begin helping it stand. It opens its flower petals, revealing its sharp mouth as it pulls the bird to it.

Attina rushes over and grabs hold of Sally to keep her from getting pulled it. Urchin, meanwhile, runs ahead of the girls and cuts the vine, freeing the bird.

The plant monster lets out a loud roar before it fires more vines at them. Urchin cuts down the vines and shields Attina, who puts Sally in her bag. She joins in with her sword and slashes away the vines. The plant monster begins to pull its severed vines back, before spitting something at the duo.

"Look out!" Urchin tackles Attina away as the spit that was fired at them hits a rock that was behind them. The two look over and see the spit burning away the rock. "Acid spit?"

"That's so gross," said Attina as she stood up with Urchin as they avoid more spits.

"Um guys? Is it just me or is it growing?" Sally asked as she noticed the plant monster pulling itself from the ground.

"Run!" Attina shouts as she runs with Urchin away from the now charging plant monster.

Despite how big it is, it was fast. It follows Attina and Urchin as they rush to get back to the path. If Helios is right, then it'll stop attacking them. They saw the clearing and knew the path is right in front of them. They just have to make it to the path, while avoiding the plant monster's acid spit being shot towards them.

However, as they got closer, Attina saw the creature jump over them and land in front of them. "It jumps now?!" Attina asked as she and Urchin begin backing away as the monster lets out a loud roar.

"Now what?" Urchin asked who knew this thing was too big for them to fight.

Attina looked over and saw a large tree in front of them. She got an idea and grabs Urchin's arm before pulling him. The plant monster saw this and charged at them again. Trying to grab them with more of its vines.

They slash at the vines but are soon grabbed and lifted off the ground. Hovering over the monster's mouth, Sally managed to fly out of the bag and look for the plant's weakness. It looked up and noticed a beehive over the tree. She flies over and grabs the nest before flying away as the bees give chase.

Sally flies now towards the mouth of the plant monster and dumps the nest in its mouth. The bees soon follow and begin stinging the inside of the plant monster. The plant monster lets out a loud roar before it lets Attina and Urchin go. The two lands on the ground as Sally lands nearby and gets back in the back.

Attina and Urchin rush to the large tree, before Attina has them stop in front of it. The plant monster spits out the bees and their nest, before turning back to the humans. The plant monster roared before it began building up another spit but is making it a big one. Just as Attina had hoped it would do.

The plant monster spits another large acid spit towards Attina and Urchin. Attina pushes Urchin out of the way, and she jumps out of the path of the acid. The acid spit hits the tree, before causing the base of it to begin melting away. This caused the tree to begin cracking and begins leaning forward.

The plant monster didn't notice the tree falling towards it, until it was too late. It lets out one last roar, before the tree crushes the plant monster. Killing it and releasing its green goo essence. Attina and Urchin soon stood up, both letting out a sigh of relief before turning to each other.

"That was…just…wow…" said Urchin who didn't expect to run into something like that.

"Agreed," said Attina before looking down at Sally. "Sally, this is incredibly dangerous. You should have stayed home."

"I know that, but I just…I wanted to help," said Sally who didn't want to wait around while everyone is out there trying to save Ariel. "Can't I just stay? Please?"

Urchin knew they were too far away from home and Sally couldn't fly that far. He placed his hand on Attina's shoulder. "She did help us out back there. Maybe she can stick around with us till we get the trident."

Attina didn't like this and didn't want to risk Scuttle's daughter from getting hurt. But she knew it was better for her to stay with them than to wait for them out at the beach. "From now on, stay close to us, okay? No wandering off or getting out of this bag unless I say so."

"Yeah, you got it," said Sally who knew better than to wander away from the group. "No way am I flying off around this crazy place."

"Let's take the path and get to Lyra. Hopefully that'll be the last thing we run into," said Attina as they begin heading towards the path that Helios told them to follow.

As they got on the path, they began following the light orbs left behind by Helios. After leaving, small bugs begin appearing from the ground. They begin going over to the remains of the plant monster and consume it. Making sure not a single bit of the monster is wasted.

A few minutes later though, the sound of something large could be heard coming towards the dead plant monster. The insects felt the vibration and knew danger was coming. The insects soon begin returning underground before the danger arrives. Just as the insects left, a large human foot came down on the ground, followed by a low growl.

Tirulia

King Eric is seen in his office, where he had finished going over with his advisors on what they were discussing. From finishing making repairs to the damaged palace, to finishing burying the last of the dead, to tending to the wounded, and rebuilding their forces. Thankfully, their alliance with Arendelle and Corona has been paying off. They have provided aid to their small kingdom and have provided any assistance they might need.

This was good news for them, but unfortunately, he's still dealing with the bad news. King Triton's merguards have yet to find where the girls are and there's still no sightings of Titus' ship. He hates how he was stuck here and not out there to help in the search. That's his family out there and he wants to help them.

Eric feels so helpless. He hates this feeling. He knew he could do more if he had a ship. He knows this sea well and knew he could be of great help.

But until they get an actual ship ready for sail, a fast one at that, then there's nothing he can do but wait. Wait for any news of his family's whereabouts.

The doors soon opened, and Eric looked over to see who it is.

"Apologies, sir," said Grimsby as he appears with Carlotta behind him. "We hope we're not interrupting anything."

"Not at all," said Eric as he walked over to take a seat in his chair. "The meeting ended a few minutes ago. Captain Bryan had given me the latest reports from Captain Nereus."

"Good news I trust?" Carlotte asked as she came into the room carrying a tray with a tea pot, some cups, and crumpets.

Eric sighed softly and shook his head in response. "Nothing solid. There's also been no sightings of the Úlfr either."

Eric had hope that they would have at least found where the Arendelle ship that the pirate girl Gabriella, his daughter Melody, and her friend Lapis had stolen. But it seems the pirate girl has somehow found a way to avoid detecting from the merguards.

"I still can't believe the young princess would do such a thing," said Grimsby who is still in shock with what Melody and her friend did. "I still think that horrifying pirate girl was behind this. Maybe she tricked them into freeing her and stealing the ship before…" Carlotta elbows Grimsby before walking over with the tray.

"That 'horrifying' pirate girl saved your life and mine from those awful pirates or did you forget about that?" Carlotta reminded Grimsby how if it wasn't for Gabriella, they would have been killed.

Eric turns to Carlotta and seems curious about her thoughts on Gabriella. "You don't seem to have a problem with her being a pirate."

"Oh, don't get me wrong. I am upset she didn't tell us the truth, but…" Carlotta sighed as she begins grabbing the handle of the pot. "I can't blame her for not being upfront with us. From the way she looked after Melody didn't defend her, I get the feeling she's been hurt before."

Eric did notice the look on Gabriella's face when Melody didn't come to her aid. He didn't defend her either, even after he found out how she defended his family from the pirates. Even saved his father-in-law from Titus. And while he was upset with the girls taking the ship, he doubts Gabriella forced the girls into doing whatever she wanted.

He knew Melody was a lot like her parents. If she knew they were in danger, she'd go out of her way to try helping them.

"I guess that means you don't believe what some of the guards are saying then? About how she's secretly in leagues with Titus?" Eric asked who knew some of his guards didn't trust the pirate girl.

"I don't. Otherwise, why would she save King Triton?" Carlotta asked knowing if Gabriella was working with Titus, then King Triton would have been killed.

Grimsby has to admit, even he had trouble believing what the guards said after what happened. "Still, if she was planning to help us, then why not wait till you and King Triton joined them?"

"They probably believed we wouldn't have followed the lead of a pirate," said Eric who couldn't blame Gabriella for feeling that way. "I can't blame her for that."

"Well, there's not much we can do except wait," said Carlotta before handing Eric a cup of tea. "Here you go. I made it to help you feel better."

Eric let out a small chuckle and shook his head. "Thank you. I appreciate it, but I'm fine. I just need to try focusing on helping however I can around the kingdom."

Carlotta though knew the young king wasn't fine. "Your highness…Eric, we both know that's not true," said Carlotta as she begins setting the tray down and pour some tea. "I've known you since you were a child. Grimsby and I both know when you're troubled by something. And to be honest? We share the same feelings."

Eric looks a little surprised by Carlotta's response, before turning to Grimsby who nods in response. "We understand your concerns and how you wish you were out there to help your family. But worrying yourself to death isn't going to help."

Carlotta and Grimsby had grown close to Eric's family since the two met him when he was little. They knew he's a good man who loves traveling the sea, has some fun with the sailors, and loves playing music. He wasn't like the other royal and noble families. He was someone who would spend his time dressed like a commoner, while spending time in the villages and towns they go to.

When Ariel appeared, everything changed. Not just for Eric, who grew close with the young woman and their love for one another has continued to remain strong. But she even became close to everyone in the palace. Even to the people of their town who all love the young redhead.

Sure, when they met her, she couldn't speak due to the deal she made with the sea witch, Ursula. Of course, they didn't know this at the time. But her curiosity of how things worked and how she became fascinated with every little thing made them smile every time. And were happy with how much of an impact she made on Eirc.

She was a good girl, and they knew Eric loved her dearly. So much so he risked his life to save her from Ursula. The two soon married and they had little Melody.

Oh, Carlotta and her girls all fell in love with the young child. She was a mixture of Eric and Ariel. Curious, brave, kind, adventurous, and misunderstood. She knew about her sneaking away to go to the ocean but didn't have the heart to tell her mother and risk her getting in trouble.

It wasn't hard not to notice, especially with how her clothes were always wet when she came home. And always smelled like the ocean. The poor girl wasn't so good at hiding this stuff from her or the other maids. But they never told her parents, since they knew she was being careful and never tried going too far out to sea.

Grimsby loved the young girl too and how she reminded her so much of her father. She would even join him when he was reading alone in the library. Even joined him for some tea from time to time. This was without him ever knowing about her sneaking out to the sea, but even if he did know, he wouldn't have had the heart to tell her.

"We will find them, Eric," said Carlotta before handing him a cup of tea and some crumpets. "We just have to be patient and hope we'll get some answers on where they could be."

"Carlotta is right," said Grimsby as he walked over and placed his right hand on the king's shoulder. "Worrying yourself like this isn't going to help you. We just need to wait till the ship is ready and then find out where they're at."

"While hoping by then Ariel's sister returns with the trident and use it to stop Titus," said Carlotta who knew once the trident is fixed, then their worries will be over.

Eric is grateful to have Carlotta and Grimsby by his side. They have been there for him since he was young. They've been there since he met Ariel, they got married, and had Melody. They're part of his family and know they'll be there for them no matter what.

"Thank you. Both of you. I really do appreciate it," said Eric as he took a sip of the tea and made a small happy noise. "Hmm ~ That does taste good."

"I told you it would," said Carlotta who's happy to see the tea is working.

The door soon opened, and Captain Bryan entered the room. "Sir, King Triton's men have returned with news of the latest sightings of the Úlfr."

Eric nearly jumped up from his seat after hearing the merguards see the ship, before remembering he had the hot teacup. He set it down and stood up.

"Where did they see the ship? Did they have a heading?" Eric asked.

"It appears the ship is heading towards the city of York, sir," said Captain Bryan as he hands the note of where the ship is heading.

Eric reads it and knows if the coordinates are right, then they'll be arriving to the English city soon. "How long ago was this?"

"The merguard who was sent to deliver it said it was at least three hours ago sir. The poor lad had to ask some dolphins to bring him here, before swimming the rest of the way here," said Captain Bryan who knew the merguard is currently down below resting up after his travel. "And sir, one more thing. The ship you ordered the men to rebuild, its ready."

Eric begins to smile when he was told that the ship, which was one of the many destroyed by Titus' men, was thankfully salvaged. The men from the town all began working on rebuilding the ship. It was one of the few that came in from one of the noble families that was fast. So, the men worked around the clock to put it back together.

Eric walks over to his desk and looks at his map to see the last sightings of the ship. Putting in the coordinates of where the ship was at to their heading, he was able to calculate how long it'll take to get there.

"If we leave now, we can get there in two days. By then, the ship will have already gotten there a day before we did and will be gone," said Eric who knew their only chance of catching up, is if they have King Triton's help. "Captain Bryan, I hate to ask this of the young guard, but if he's up for it, can he deliver a message to his king?"

"Yes sir," said Captain Bryan as he waited to be told the message. "What shall he tell him, sir?"

"Tell him we're going to need his help to get to York and maybe if it's possible, the help from the animals of the sea," said Eric as he plans to get the help of the sea creatures to get to their destination.

"Understood," said Captain Bryan as he heads off to see the young merguard to see if he'll deliver the message.

"Grimsby, have the men begin gathering supplies and equipment on the ship," said Eric as he begins running the numbers of how much to take and how many men to bring. "And get at least fifteen volunteers. The rest I want them to stay here and guard our home."

"Just fifteen, sir?" Grimsby asked wondering why Eric is asking for so few men.

"I'll ask the king to bring fifteen of his men along with us, along with at least ten sailors too," Eric knew they don't need a large number to sail the ship, but they should have enough for the stay light. "The ship the men fixed is light, but we need to ensure we don't carry too much to slow us down. And if we get the help from the sea creatures thanks to King Triton, then we can be to York in a day."

Grimsby begins going over the numbers in his head and knows Eric is right. "But sir, why would the girls head to York? Aren't pirates' enemies of the English?"

"He's right," said Carlotta who seemed confused by the decision by the girls. "It doesn't make sense for them to travel there."

"It is unless it's a safe haven for pirates," Eric explains that when he was young, he overheard some sailors talk about how there's certain towns that are safe havens for pirates to go to. "They have them set up to resupply, make repairs, and recruit more men."

"I still can't believe there would be one so close to where the English rule," said Carlotta who would have figured the king would have had the pirates all exterminated.

"Well, it's likely the pirates have been bribing the people in charge of these towns to avoid being discovered," said Eric who figures that's what the pirates are doing to prevent the English from attacking.

"Still, I don't get why the girls would go there of all places," said Grimsby who didn't understand the logic of the girls heading to York.

Eric on the other hand did have an idea of why they'd be going there. "There are only two reasons why. They're either there to gather a crew for a long journey to hunt down Titus or…"

"Or that horrible pirate, Titus, will be there," said Carlotta as she figures out where Eric is going with this. "I still can't believe the girls would risk their safety and go after him."

"I'm sure Melody figured if it was the other way around, her mother would have done the same," said Eric who knew for sure that Ariel would have done the same thing if Melody had been taken. "She probably would have no problem following Gabriella's orders in order to get our daughter back."

Ariel would go to the end of the earth to save their child. Something he would do too. Even if it seems wrong for royalty to do business with a pirate. He didn't care though.

As long as his family are safe and sound, then he'd become a pirate to do it.

"But sir, if that's true, then do you think the men you have will be enough? If it's a safe haven for pirates, then if we try going after Titus, the other pirates might get involved," said Grimsby who knew of the danger of trying to fight a pirate, with other pirates around.

"And with Ms. Attina still not back yet with the trident, you'll be outnumbered," said Carlotta who knew they had little chance of beating Titus and his crew without the trident.

"It's a risk we have to take," said Eric who knew they have to try anything to save his family. "And we have to do it soon, before the girls run into the pirates."

The last thing Eric wants is to lose his daughter to Titus. He begins finishing writing up his orders and hands them to Grimsby. "I want you both to stay here. Keep an eye on things till I get back. That paper gives you authority around here till we return."

"W-Wh-What?" Grimsby looks at the paper and reads it. "B-But sir! You can't be serious."

"I am," said Eric as he began gathering his things. "I'm counting on you two. Please, just keep an eye on things till we come back. Okay?" He turns to Carlotta and Grimsby before seeing how concerned the two are. Eric sighed before he walked over to the two and tries to reassure them it'll be okay. "I promise, we'll be careful. I'll go save Ariel and Melody, then we're coming back straight home."

Carlotte and Grimsby both turn to each other, knowing they should tag along to make sure everything is okay. But the two knew Eric needed to do this. They also know they have to stay and watch over the kingdom. Without the king around, it'll be anarchy around here.

"Just be careful, sir. And please, don't do anything reckless," said Grimsby who's hoping Eric will listen for once and won't do anything dangerous.

"You got it," said Eric who can't guarantee he might try something crazy, but he'll certainty try.

"Please just come home. All of you," said Carlotte who hopes to see the whole family come back all alive and in one piece. "I'll make sure to pack you all plenty of tea before you go."

"Thank you. I appreciate it," said Eric as he embraces the two in a hug, before he begins taking off to get his things ready for his journey.

Eric isn't going to stay on the sideline. He will be there for his family, and he will bring them home. It doesn't matter if he's going up against the brother of his father-in-law or against his crew of dangerous pirates. He has fought against two dangerous sea witches before and survived.

Taking on these pirates won't be any different.

Ariel, Melody, don't worry. I'm coming and I'll bring you both home. Eric thought as he heads to gather his things and heads off to rescue his family.

That's the end of the chapter and yeah it didn't have too much in it, but I didn't want to go for too long on it. I want to save the best parts for later. Now then, yeah, I had Sally follow the others to the island. She might play a role later, there is only one way to find out.

It also seems like something else is following Attina, Urchin, and Sally. What could it be? I did give a small hint from the appearance of the foot. So, you'll get an idea of what it could be.

Also, I wanted to give Grimsby and Carlotta sometime in the story to be with Eric. We hardly got much of them in the sequel, while getting a bit of character development in the first movie. I wanted to flesh out their characters some more. Showing that despite them serving the family, they feel like they are part of the family.

Will Eric's plan work? Will they arrive in time to help Gabriella and the others? Will Attina and the others get the trident fixed in time before the big fights break out? Or will something come along to ruin their plan?

Tune in next time to find out & thank you all for the support of my friend. He appreciates all the support for his story and if you like how this chapter went, then please leave some reviews. Just nothing negative please. See you all next time, take good care, and have a good day.
