Allison Argent looked up at the burnt, barely even standing house before her anxiously.

She took one last look at her phone and bit her lip.

Meet me at the old Hale house. I have something to show you in the basement. Don't tell your dad. It'll be our little secret.

Basement. Right.

Allison pulled out the small device the Sheriff had given her; a recorder and hit the button he had instructed her to before sliding it into the pocket of her dress and making her way up the creaking steps.

She made her way through the foyer, through the dining room and into the kitchen.

She swallowed thickly as she stood before the door leading downstairs. The Sheriff's directions on how to get to the basement had been easy enough to follow.

She reached out, turned the knob, listening to the door creak as it opened, and she winced at the sound.

She made her way down the cement stairs. She could feel the temperature drop as she descended further into the dark. She openly stared at the scene before her as she stepped off the last step.

"Isn't he beautiful?" Kate cooed as she shined a spotlight right onto Derek, blinding the man temporarily as he closed his eyes against the onslaught.

The basement was dark and damp. What little light there was, was shining through a small, barred window. Then there was the spotlight Kate had dragged down.

The light reflected off of the water that seemed to coat the ground, sending the wave-like reflections bouncing off the cement walls and floors. It had been raining nearly all day. This place wasn't waterproof anymore.

If it wasn't for the orange hue of the spotlight, this basement would have had an otherworldly underwater glow to it.

Allison came to a stop behind her aunt and watched Kate as the blonde eyed the man she had chained to a fence. He looked exhausted but with the constant electricity coursing through him, he wasn't able to shift nor get any rest.

He panted quietly and Allison could see the large fangs that barely fit in his mouth. His eyes opened as he heard Kate speak up. His eyes… They were so blue. Glowing even.

Allison frowned. So this was what Kate had been busy doing. This was why her father couldn't get a hold of her aunt.

Her eyes shifted from her aunt to the man she had chained up. She understood now. This is why her dad sat her down and told her everything. Her aunt was deranged.

Allison bit her lip. What her father wanted her to do… She had to do it right.

"What… What is he?" She asked softly, brown eyes darting back and forth between Derek and Kate.

Kate turned and smiled at her, lips spread so wide that Allison had to resist stepping away from her as Kate stepped away from the spotlight and toward the table standing before the man and the fence.

"A beast. A monster. An abomination. One that needs to die. They all do." Kate turned her eyes to the right and Allison followed her gaze and let out a gasp. Her hands shot up to cover her mouth in absolute horror and had to force herself back to looking scared before Kate could see her reaction.

Luckily, her aunt was completely focused on the two huddled in the corner against the right wall and the fence. And it wasn't hard. Her aunt was scaring her.

The first figure, curled up around a much smaller form, was a pale male with ash blonde hair and vibrant silvery blue eyes, though he wasn't looking at Allison. He couldn't have been much older than them. Maybe around Derek's age. The other was a woman. Wet curls hung in front of a pale face.

Whiskey eyes peaked between the male's arms and Allison's body tensed. That's when she realized who the small figure was. "Is… Is that Stiles' sister?" She asked softly, eyes wide as Kate turned to her with a grin.

"It is. You told me that a boy named Stiles was dating the boy you liked, so I figured I'd hurt Stiles. What better way to do so than to go after his beloved sister? It was fairly simple to find out who Stiles was. Finding his sister was easy. Derek basically dropped her into my hands. Two birds… One stone." Kate sounded so smug, so proud of herself… It made Allison's stomach churn in disgust.

Kate turned back to the table and reached out to turn a dial on some sort of electronic board.

Allison jumped back as Derek let out a cry, his body seizing up as electricity coursed through him.

"Why him?" Allison cried out over Derek's cry.

"Why Derek Hale?" Kate asked for clarification as she turned the dial back down. "Because it's fun. And he has been digging."

Allison stepped forward, wanting to make sure Kate's words were caught on the recording device.

"Digging?"

Kate heaved a sigh and turned to face her niece. "Yes. You see, he's upset that I burned his family to the ground. And because he started digging more into that fact…" She paused as she moved over to Derek, stepping around the table to kick at his foot. Derek glared, holding back a growl.

"I've had to take care of any loose ends. Don't want them squealing to anyone." She finished with a large grin.

"You're the one who set the Hale house on fire?" Allison asked, taking a step back from Kate, eyes wide in horror.

"Yup!" She popped the 'P'. "They deserved it. They are abominations. Filthy beasts."

Allison felt the tears well up in her eyes as she gazed over at Derek's heaving, sweat soaked form, locking her eyes with his. "You really believe that? You are delusional! There were children! Innocent children!" Allison cried out and had to look away from Derek at the anguish that flashed across his eyes at the reminder. She felt so bad bringing up those memories, but she needed to have Kate's confession.

Kate chuckled darkly. "I see that you seem to have the same morals as your father. A shame. I could have used you. Now… I might have to take care of you like I took care of the others."

It clicked. Allison's eyes widened even more. "You are the one killing everyone and making them look like animal attacks! Why!?"

Kate took a threatening step toward Allison but paused misstep as she watched her niece flinch back.

"Because. They helped me set each and every fire." Kate shot a glare toward Derek. "Because Derek over here, couldn't leave well enough alone." Kate spun around and made her way towards the blonde man on the floor, who glared up at her with a vicious snarl on his face, eyes blazing red, and teeth elongated.

"Oh, hush now, Kaine." Kate chastised the man and pulled out a small remote control that had Kaine leaping away from Ellie in fear just as Kate pressed a button.

Kaine went down instantly, screaming out in pain as his collar activated.

It lasted a few seconds and Allison stumbled over her feet as she took a step away from them. Her back met the wall behind her.

"Every fire? You-You did this to more than one family? Just how many people have you killed?" Allison asked, staring at her aunt in horror. Who was this woman? This was not the aunt she thought she had known. Her father was right. Kate was unhinged.

Kate gave a loud boisterous laugh. "People? They aren't people! They are monsters that deserved to be put down, Allison…" She gave her niece a nasty smirk. "You really want to know how many monstrous families I've burned?" Allison was shaking in her spot against the wall.

Kate turned, walked to Derek and grinned in glee as he shrank away from her touch as her hand came to rest against his chest.

"You want to know just how many children I listened to scream and cry and choke on the very air they breathed as they fought tooth and claw to escape their homes?" Though she spoke to Allison she made sure to lock eyes with Derek as she continued, taking pleasure in his anger. "A couple dozen families at least. Mostly here in the US, some in Europe." Kate chuckled once more. "Don't you see, Allison? The monsters of this world are everywhere. One of them could easily be someone's next door neighbor and they would never know. I'm here to end them before they end us."

Kate grinned and turned her gaze away from Derek and back to Allison.

"Now… Dear Allison. Witness my best creation. My asset." Her hand slipped from Derek, and she knelt before Kaine seconds later. She reached out and slid a needle into his neck and pressed down on the plunger.

"No!" Ellie cried out and went to reach for him only to freeze as Kaine snapped at her to stay back.

Ellie cowered away and everyone was forced to watch as Kaine screamed. His bones snapped, his skin rippled, and his back arched. His clothes began to tear as his body grew in size. Fur sprouted out and his skin darkened as he was forced to fully shift. His screams cut off into a pained howl as his mouth became a snout.

Allison quickly reached into her pocket and pressed the button once more. This confusion she needed was for the police. They didn't need to hear this part.

The human howl turned beastly soon after she had ended the recording and she sighed in relief for a moment before she made a break for it.

Her legs carried her right to Ellie's side, and she tried desperately to free the girl, but failed. Her head hung forward, hair falling into her view as she tried to think. What could she do now!?

"Oh, Allison. You should have seen things my way." Kate spoke up sounding almost sad.

Allison looked up through her hair and locked eyes with her aunt. She couldn't spot any emotion other than sick satisfaction swimming in Kate's eyes.

Her aunt stood next to the transformed man, hand resting on his shoulder with ease.

"I'll take care of all three of you after I have Kaine here take out the alpha." As if right on cue, an earth-shattering howl sounded, echoing strongly throughout the night, calling out for his pack, for his family.

Kate grinned. "Good. He'll be here soon." She turned and ran her hand down Kaine's flank. "Let's go meet him, shall we?"

Allison, Ellie and Derek could only watch as Kate guided Kaine up the stairs. The two girls flinched as she slammed the door shut behind them.

Derek began to struggle. Allison bolted towards him, knowing he was their best bet out of here. She let out a startled yelp as Stiles came out of the dark behind the stairs.

"What the hell? How did you get down here?" Allison asked wearily, shock coursing through her as Stiles made his way to his sister and tried to help free her.

"I followed you, duh. Snuck down here when you all were distracted."

Allison rolled her eyes and rushed to Derek's side. Her gaze shifted around and spotted the cables taped to his side. She pulled the tape off and winced as she noticed the ends of the live wires were dug into Derek's skin.

"Pull them out. I'll heal." He growled. "They are sending a small charge of electricity through me constantly."

Allison's eyes darted up to his. "That's why you are still weak and can't break free?" She questioned quietly before gripping the rubber covering the wires further down and pulled.

He hissed as they slid out and she gagged at how much had really been forced inside of him. That is so gross.

Derek sagged and Allison watched in awe as the puncture wounds sealed up before her eyes.

Her eyes moved up to his hands and she stared dumb founded. He was cuffed with what looked like leather cuffs attached to chains. She reached up on her tiptoes, her hair brushing against his chest and she quickly apologized as she yanked the clasp free and he growled as he was freed. He rubbed at his wrists for a moment and Allison backed up to get a look at his ankles.

"I can't get those free." She frowned. Those cuffs were solid metal.

"No need." He yanked each foot forward and she watched in awe as the metal bent and broke away with ease. Did the electricity really weaken him that much?

Derek stumbled for a second and her hands shot out, palms pressing against his shoulders before his warmth was gone and she was blinking at the empty space before her.

She spun around and smiled as she watched Derek reach down and rip the chains out from the drainage pipe, the crate smacking against the wall with a loud clang.

His hands cupped Ellies face and she blinked up at him owlishly. She was tired and freezing. Kaine had been her only source of heat.

"Derek…" She whimpered, lips quivering as she tried not to cry. She was wet and covered in grime as well.

"We can't let her win. We have to save Kaine." She practically begged, her hands grasping at his shoulders desperately. Peter wouldn't know that Kaine was a slave to Kate's will. He would kill Kaine without another thought. To Peter, Kaine was a feral alpha in his territory. An alpha that had supposedly hurt members from his pack.

Derek smoothed her hair back and away from her face and gave her a nod. "We will. We'll save him." His eyes hardened and he swiftly picked Ellie up into his arms, her chains clanking as he did so. Stiles was right at his side, hands fumbling with the chains as he pulled them up and let them pool atop her stomach. They would get them off her later. They had bigger things to worry about right now.

Derek's gaze swept back to look upon the form of the youngest Argent. "Tonight… Kate will die. Either by our alpha's hands, or your fathers."

Allison glanced down at the ground. She knew this. Her father had warned her about this. This was the law amongst the supernatural. Her aunt was as good as dead.

"I know." She whispered out.

Derek gave a firm nod. "Cover your ears. All of you." He waited and raised a brow in challenge as Stiles just stared at him.

Ellie raised her hands up to cover her ears and curled in closer to her mate's chest. Allison followed her lead, covering hers as well.

Stiles heaved a sigh and covered his, albeit reluctantly. Boy oh boy was he glad it did.

Derek took a few calming breaths before he shifted, took one last deep breath and tilted his head back.

The loudest roaring howl any of them had ever heard escaped from Derek's chest and the three humans flinched as they closed their eyes, cowering against the sheer volume and emotion he released within the cry.

As it tempered off, Derek huffed and puffed. Without a doubt, Peter would now know where they were now.

Derek grinned.
