Scott looked at his brother, open-mouthed, while his brain tried to process what Alan was saying.

He was categorically ignoring the chatter over comms - a mixture of John and Virgil demanding to know he was alright and Gordon full-on cackling in the background.

It didn't help that the shock of Alan literally barrelling into him with a strength belied by the kid's scrawny frame had fused his brain so badly that he had forgotten he was wearing a jet pack.

The three-story fall had been broken by the giant rubbish skip.

Scott had needed to fight through the rubbish to climb out while Alan's voice repeated in his ear 'I'm sorry! I'm sorry!' over and over.

He blinked as Alan reached across. Thinking his youngest brother was going for a hug, Scott opened his arms, only for Alan to reach over and pick a rotten banana skin off his shoulder.

There was a thump as Gordon fell off his chair.
