Whumppromptoftheday said: 'you need to eat something'
Scott stared at the plate.
He knew he should be hungry, but too many call-outs, not enough sleep and being high on adrenaline was curbing his appetite so completely that the food in front of him - one of his favourite meals - was making him feel more than queasy.
With his brothers around him, and Virgil in particular giving him concerned glances, Scott knew he had to try. Otherwise the Medic and Smotherhen number Two would quite probably do something Scott would regret.
Like grounding him.
'You need to eat something,' a voice quietly said, and Scott was proud that he didn't startle as Kayo slipped into the seat beside him. Her smirk showed she knew she'd surprised him. But the smirk turned into a side smile as she swapped plates with him.
Gone was the spicy Goan curry and in its place plain noodle ramin.
This looked and felt far more...appetising wasn't the right word. Manageable? Yeah, maybe that was the term.
As Kayo tucked into his curry she filled them all in on the latest intel from Fischler Corp. They needed to be prepared for his latest 'innovation' and as she talked the others chimed in, discussing possibilities and scenarios.
Scott vetoed Gordon's suggestion that they just 'take out' the factories, shaking his head as he went for another spoonful...but there was nothing left.
He stared at the empty bowl for a moment. When had he eaten that? Surely not during the short conversation they'd been having? But the smiles and smirks told him otherwise.
'I might - might, mind you, - be hungry enough for dessert.'
