Warning: Very, very angsty.
Dull blue eyes looked at him, making his heart lurch. He caught the flailing hand and held on tight.
'Don-Don't worry.'
'I – '
'Mom's calling me. Calling me home.'
'Scott – please – don't talk like that. We're here, we'll get you out.'
'S'ok. I'm ready. Didn't spect to live this long anyway.'
His speech slurring and slowing down only made his brother more determined, more frantic.
'Don't you dare give up! Never give up, that's our motto.'
'Not givin' up. Just…so tired of being here. Being without them.'
'I know, I know. But you got us, Scott. What would we do without you?'
'You'd be great. You always are.'
'No I wouldn't. I don't want a world without you.'
The other hand clumsily cupped his cheek.
'Love you.'
'Please, Scott. Tell Mom she can't have you, not yet.'
'She's waited so long already. I can't make her wait any more.'
'No – no, no, Scott…'
'Mom…'
