Gordon put a hand to his chest in the most dramatic way possible, causing Alan to giggle.
"You're just mean!"
Virgil - very used to his wingman - merely rolled his eyes as he finished bandaging Gordon's leg. Gordon glanced down at it before looking at the medic, that familiar gleam in his eye that promised mischief and mayhem.
"Look! Good as new! I'm saved!"
And with that the aquanaut leapt from the bed - only for said leg to promptly collapse under him and send him crashing to the floor.
Where he was soon joined by Alan, now rolling around with tears of laughter streaming down his face.
Virgil looked fondly at his brothers. He knew Gordon was playing the fool to lighten the mood for Alan.
It had been a close call, but once again they had survived.
