Edutainer2022 said: One of my favourite parts, among many in this story, is Virgil showing up and whisking Scott away. There might have been a little tug of war. But there also may or may not be a note emblazoned somewhere on Commander's uniform, "In case of emergency return to V. Tracy"

It had been one of Gordon's more…unusual gifts. One that Scott still wasn't sure about, if he was honest, but had said thanks with a grin, worn it for his birthday party and then promptly buried hoping it would never see the light of day again.

So now that he, John and Gordon were on 48-hour enforced downtime, how come it had found its way into his weekend bag and all other tops had been removed?

Maybe this time he really would kill Gordon…

Sighing the deepest sigh only an oldest sibling could ever understand, Scott slid the tee on and buttoned his shirt over it, hoping that the light blue would be enough to hide the lurid green message.

If it didn't no one say anything, and the three spent a very pleasant evening beating the big casino just enough that they didn't end up banned…again.

The winnings were then immediately placed into envelopes and, while sizeable donations found their way to the local shelters and kitchens, the trio handed out smaller donations to people they met.

And then they went drinking.

Scott and Gordon could hold their liquor - John, not so much - and they seldom let their hair down completely, but it had been the roughest week in an even rougher month…

Virgil's private mobile rang several times before he realised what the noise was. He so seldom used it, and he stared at it briefly before registering that it was ringing again.

'Hello?'

'Hello. Is this V. Tracy?'

'Who's asking?'

'I have here three very drunk men who insist that I do not disturb The Bear or he my rip my head off. One of them is wearing a tee shirt saying "In case of emergency return to V. Tracy. In the guy's pocket is a phone with V. Tracy in the contacts and this number. So I ask you again, are you V. Tracy?'

Virgil sighed.

'I am. Please give me the details and I'll be over to sort everything out shortly.'

'Good. Thank you.'

He was going to kill them all. No - scratch that. This was the best blackmail material Virgil had gotten in quite a while.
