"Ah, don't be frowny faced just because you underestimated a couple of kids." O'Neill told the agents. "You over stepped your bounds. You sent McKay in on purpose, didn't you? You heard there was a beautiful girl with access to advanced technology. You knew exactly how McKay would act around her and you thought it would give you an excuse to detain her and leverage her boyfriend. Might have worked, except the kids are so advanced they can make pocket dimensions. Something we just found out about twenty minutes ago just before we walked over here. It's so easy and natural for them that it never even occured to them to mention it. Too bad, so sad."

"We could launch an investigation as to why you didn't know sooner." One of the agents threatened.

"And we could request an investigation of why you sent in McKay when after the last two times you sent him here, he nearly got someone killed and it was requested that he not return unless requested to do so. Stalemate."

Xander and Cordelia materialized in the quarters assigned to them. They quickly grabbed the suitcases they hadn't bothered to unpack and stuck them in their own dimensional pocket, then shimmered to Major Carter's lab, startling her.

"Sorry, ma'am. We didn't mean to scare you." Xander said. "it's time for us to go. There's some suits wanting to arrest Cordy and even though Colonel O'Neill said there wouldn't be an investigation and Cordy was justified because that prick harassed her, they still insisted they were going to arrest her. Is the control device together?"

"Yes, it is. It should work just fine. Those guys in suits were probably NID."

"We've heard of them, even before Colonel O'Neill mentioned them at the get to know meeting. The first reality we went to included other versions of ourselves. They'd been augmented, which is different from engineering and had a daughter. The NID tried to kidnap her, three times. They wanted to experiment on her. I prefer my Cordy not be in their not so gentle hands."

"Don't blame you." Major Carter didn't object to Xander picking up the control device. The sound of running boot steps could be heard in the corridor. "That'll be the guards. The security officers monitoring the cameras would have seen you teleport in. They may think you're attacking me."

"If it keeps you out of trouble ma'am, go ahead and tell them I threatened you. You've been great, see you around the multiverse." Xander grabbed Cordelia's hand and pressed the button on the control device and with an electric tingle, the world shifted. From Major Carter's point of view, she blinked and they were gone.

The guards arrived and swept the room looking for Xander and Cordelia.

"Are you alright, ma'am? Did they hurt you?"

"No, they just wanted their control device. The NID tried to arrest Ms. Chase for defending herself against Dr. McKay."

"Let me guess." One of them said dryly. "They were trying something like they tried with the Tollen? Intellectual slavery. The kids had an ace in the hole though, personal transporters, instead of phase shifting through the walls to get away?"

"You got it. I need to report to General Hammond. As you were."

"Yes, ma'am."

Major Carter reported to the General's office where he was yelling at the NID agents.

"You didn't have authority to be on my base. You ordered the guards up top to not inform me you were here. That's the second time one of your agents has succeeded in getting such an order followed. Last time it was determined that the guard had been bribed by Maybourne. I want to know how the Hell you got past the guard. Ah, Major. Are you alright? The officers in the security office reported Mr. Harris and Ms. Chase teleporting into your lab."

"They didn't hurt me, sir. They told me about the NID trying to take Cordelia and Xander grabbed the control device. They used the device and I don't know if Colonel O'Neill had a chance to report it yet, sir. But earlier Xander gave me a staff weapon from an advanced race he knew we encountered in another reality. Reverse engineering it might give us an advantage over the Gou'ald and certainly should help us if we encounter these Ori and the Priors in this reality. They seem to be similar to the Gou'ald in that they attempt to force worship."

"That probably will be very helpful. Colonel O'Neill."

"Yes, sir."

"You brought them here. They're coming here may benefit us a great deal. But that doesn't mean I'm not annoyed by the trouble their presence stirred up. You can do the paperwork on this little adventure. Maybe it will finally teach you about bringing home strays."

"Yes, sir. I'd like to say it probably will, but I can't resist trying to help strays. How do you think I got my dog?"

Xander and Cordelia materialized in a decidedly woodsy area.

"Where did we end up now, Xander? My hair is going to frizz in this wet heat.

"I don't know. Let's have a look around and see what we can find."

What they found was two woman fighting a mess of soldiers, but definitely not modern day soldiers.

"Cordelia."

"Yes, Xander?"

"I recognize those women. Either we stumbled onto a tv show being made or we were about to meet the real life Xena and Gabrielle."
