2 weeks following the exploding chicken dinner, Granger had heard that Hetty was going to be in Birkdale for the grand opening of the new dance studio, and got very excited.

'Sir, you could ask her to dance!' Luke said, with anticipation.

'I know! I've been getting better thanks those new lessons, I could really impress her!' Granger replied, excited.

'Not to mention, with all the reporters that will no doubt be there, could help you get some good press.'

'That too.'

The night of the grand opening, Granger was so excited to see Hetty, he started to sweat through his suit!

Then Hetty walked into the ballroom, in a huge, poofy dress that she could barely walk in.

Granger was absolutely stunned. He had only known her for 2 and a half months, but he knew that there was no way that she would ever wear such a dress willingly.

'She must have been forced to wear it. Gosh, I should do something.' He thought.

Trying to dance with her would definitely be a bad idea, especially considering she gave small hints in her voice in her big speech that she didn't want to be there. So, he tracked down Mark and told him to get Hetty to the back entrance as soon as he could, and to bring one of her other outfits that she kept as back up.

Not long after he said that, Mark brought Hetty to the back entrance, and they left to a nearby building so Hetty could change clothes.

'I didn't know you had an old car like this!' Hetty said, noticing Granger's old looking car.

'I had it built for myself. What say we get out of here?' Granger replied.

'Couldn't agree more!'

They drove around Birkdale.

'So, why were you wearing such a bizarre looking dress?' Granger asked.

'Sigh. I had requested a new dress for the event, but when I went to my room to change, I saw that abomination. I was told that the dress that I had asked for had gotten lost and that was the only 1 left.' Hetty replied, looking both sad and mad.

'You don't think it really got lost, do you?'

'Not at all. More then likely 1 of my mom's advisors decided to try and play a trick on me to get me to act more princess like. I could barely breathe or walk in that stupid thing! (deep sigh).'

'I could tell. That's why I told Mark to sneak you out. I couldn't stand seeing you look so uncomfortable.'

Hetty felt really touched by his generosity. 'Thank you.'

'How would you like to see my favorite place in all of Birkdale?' Granger asked.

'Sure!'

The fountain in the center of the park

'This is such a beautiful place. This giant fountain, that big lake to the right, that meadow to the left, just really beautiful!' Granger exclaimed.

'Yeah, I can see!' Hetty replied.

Then Granger brought out a tape deck stereo and started playing a very romantic waltz.

'Would you like to dance, Princess?' He kindly asked.

Looking very surprised. 'Uh, sure! (chuckle).' Hetty shyly replied.

They danced, and danced, and danced! To Hetty, it felt like floating on air, it felt like everything was right. And when they eventually got tired, they sat down on the fountain.

'I, have danced with so many men, but you, have got to be the most amazing dancer I've ever danced with!' Hetty exclaimed, breathless.

'You're not so bad yourself! And I've been taking lessons recently!' Granger replied.

'Really? (chuckle). Couldn't tell!'

Feeling a little tired, Hetty leaned in and rested on his arm. Looking up at him, she gave a soft but tired look and said:

'Thank you for making tonight so magical!'

'It's my pleasure.' Then he kissed her on the top of her head, and her eyes twinkled.

'I should get you back to the hotel before anyone notices you're not in your room.' He said.

'Yeah, yeah good idea.' Hetty softly replied.

He drove her back to the hotel.

The next day, Leanne heard a lot of shouting and name calling between her daughter and her advisiors. After silencing them all, she told Hetty to meet her in her bedroom.

After Hetty told her what had happened, she then asked:

'Is it possible that, I might be falling for Owen?'
