Spider-Man: LOUD Season 1 Chapter 6

"The marvelous hang out session between two hormonal teenagers"

Curt Conners was at heart a scientist, it's why he taught science related topics at Royal Woods High School. He taught a total of 3 different classes, Ecology, Biology, and Chemistry. This is why he was currently at an Oscorp facility doing research on cross species genetics. He believed that in order to cure all ailments we needed to look deeper in the animal genome. He was currently studying lizards and their ability to self heal and regrow lost body parts such as their tail.

"Conners." A voice that called softly behind him was heard.

He turned around to find his partner Dr. Mendel Stromm with his lab coat over his shoulder.

"Come on, we gotta go." The man said.

Conners shook his head and turned back around, "No, I have to keep researching, I don't want a single piece of information left out of my study."

Stromm sighed, "Conners, you'll get there eventually, if you don't leave now you'll be late for your teaching job."

Conners stopped what he was doing and half turned back around, "Yes, you're right. I'll meet you down there soon, just let me get everything packed up." He finally met Stromm's eyes.

Stromm nodded and left. Conners closed the book he was studying and put it on a shelf above his desk. He stood up from his office chair and walked over to a device on a counter and pushed a button to turn it on. He crouched down and opened a mini freezer beneath the counter and grabbed a vile of green liquid, he closed the freezer and stood back up, putting the vile into the device he'd turned on.

He pushed another button and the device started spinning, the device read "In progress". He looked down at his right arm, half of it was currently missing, he'd lost it years ago while he served in the army, a grenade had gone off and severely injured his right arm, and the only thing they could do was amputate it.

He pulled out a notebook and started writing,

Log: May 13th.

I'm running out of time, human testing is supposed to start in a couple of weeks but it isn't finished yet. I need to speed up what I'm doing or else it won't be finished in time, or if I'm really desperate I could test it on myself. It's risky and has a lot of potential dangers, but man stepping foot on the moon was no easy task, sacrifices always have to be made for the greater good of mankind, in the event of an untimely death I will write a letter to my loved ones, my wife Martha, and my son Billy.

He closed the book and put it away, he hung up his lab coat on a coat rack next to his office door, and walked out. He met up with Dr. Stromm in the lobby and they walked out together, and parted ways once they got in their cars.

Lincoln got out of the shower and dried his body and hair, putting on his clothes, ready for school that day. Not only was today a school day, but today was the first time he and Jordan would be hanging out together outside of school..alone. He put on his light gray undershirt to hide his Spider-Man costume, and then put on his iconic orange polo shirt. He brushed his teeth, combed his hair, and put on some manly cologne.

"I've gotta keep Jordan coming over a secret from everyone, knowing my sisters they'll show up and ruin everything." Lincoln talked to himself in the mirror.

He looked at himself and pointed finger guns before turning around and picking up his clothes off the floor and dropping them down the laundry shoot in the hallway. Everybody got into the van and Lynn started it up.

"I'll ride with everyone else today, I don't wanna swing to school as Spider-Man because Vulture might attack me at any moment. I need to be ready for him." Lincoln thought with a straight face.

He got into the middle seat of the third row, between Lana and Lola. He rested his head on the backrest of the seat.

"Stop looking at me." A voice from his left calls out.

"Oh here we go." Lincoln thinks.

"I'm not looking at you, you're looking at me." Another voice calls out, this time to his right.

Lincoln knows that something very bad is about to happen, and this is further accentuated by the growling sounds he heard from both sides of him. Just as the twins jumped at each other Lincoln stuck out his hands and held them both back from attacking each other.

"No one was looking at no one. Now please calm down for the rest of the car ride." Lincoln said as politely as someone trying to scold another person could sound.

The twins settled down for the rest of the car ride, the car ride wasn't met with complete silence, but there was no more fighting or bickering. Once they arrived at school Lincoln hopped out of the car and was about to start walking before he heard a voice behind him.

"Hey Stinkoln." His sister Lynn said from behind him.

Lincoln turned around to face his sister who was still in the van, "What's up Lynn?"

She simply smiled and nodded her head "I know it's not like me to be all loving or whatever, but, have a good day."

Lincoln was caught off guard by this statement, "Oh, yeah thanks, you too."

Lynn drove off and left Lincoln confused as to why she'd say such a thing, especially since at that point she'd gained the reputation of the tough sister that never displayed affection for anyone. His only guess as to why is that it was only a week until she had to leave for college, and they'd never been the closest of siblings. He turns around and starts walking toward the entrance of the school where he's met up by Clyde, Rusty, Stella, Zach, and Liam.

"Hey guys, what's up?" The white haired boy asks his little group of friends.

"Not much." Stella replies.

"The ceiling." Zach responds.

"Nothing too major, just struggling to keep the ladies off me as normal." Rusty responds.

The ginger haired teen then turns to a pair of two girls they were currently passing by in the hall and pointed finger guns at them, "Ladies." he says in a suave tone.

Both girls then scream in terror and run in the opposite direction. Rusty turns back to his friends, "They want me."

Stella could be seen chuckling at how clueless her friend truly was.

"What's up with you?" Clyde asks Lincoln.

"Oh, uh not much just..chillin." Lincoln replies.

"Sounds like yer not tellin us somethin." Liam pry's.

"What, me? I'd never hide anything from my bestest friends in the whole world!" Lincoln reassures.

"Hey Lincoln!" A sweet voice calls out from behind them.

They turn around to find one Jordan Toomes running toward them, stopping just 2 feet in front of Lincoln. She wore some jean shorts that stopped shy of her mid thigh, some white socks that went up to her lower calf, some black slip-on shoes, and a yellow top that she had tied around her back, revealing a little bit of her belly.

"Are we still on for after school today?" She asks with a beaming smile.

"Oh, uh yeah, still good on my end!" Lincoln says nervously with a thumbs up.

She smiles, "Great! Remember, we're meeting at the entrance," She says as she puts her hands behind her back and starts skipping away, "I'll see you then!" She calls out behind her.

All of Lincoln's friends look at him with sly smiles, he starts sweating nervously.

"Okay that is completely unrelated!" He says to his friends holding up his two pointer fingers.

"Sure it is." Zach said teasingly.

"So Linc, you and Girl Jordan are hanging out after school today?" Rusty also said in a teasing tone.

Lincoln blushed and looked away from his friends, "Yes." He said blatantly and quickly.

"Way to go buddy!" Clyde said supportively as he nudged Lincoln's arm with his shoulder.

"I'll start plannin the weddin!" Liam said also supportively.

Lincoln gained a shocked expression, "W-wait! We're not hanging out in that sort of way, it's just a…hang out as friends who've never talked to each other that much, sort of way."

"Oh come on, we all know you have a crush on her." Rusty said.

Lincoln took a step back, "You do?!"

"Yeah, it's super obvious." Zach added.

"I mean, you told me directly." Clyde said.

"So it was that obvious huh?" The white haired teen asked rhetorically.

Stella was seen biting her lip. A focused expression on her face.

The clock was ticking in Lincoln's Math class, it was his last class he had for the day. He tapped his foot impatiently on the floor watching the clock. It went from 2:26 to 2:27 in what felt like 2 years. But finally the clock struck 2:30 and the bell to release finally rang. Lincoln shot up and grabbed his backpack and ran out the door. Trying not to cut anyone off but also make it to the front of the school quickly. He reached the front doors and exited the school, he looked around for a quick second to see if Jordan was already there waiting for him. Not spotting her he sat down on a bench to wait, he felt a buzz come from his phone. Pulling it out he sees a text from Lucy.

"I have a way for you to make it up to me."

Lincoln took a deep breath before texting back.

"How so?"

A couple of seconds passed before he saw three little dots make themselves known, telling him that she was texting back.

"I want you to come to a Morticians Club meeting with me."

Lincoln leaned back and continued typing.

"I'll do that, I just want to make things right between us, I messed up, and I can't tell you how sorry I am."

Lincoln waited for her response, nothing ever came up. He started typing again.

"The truth is that I'm Spider-Man, that's why I couldn't make it. I wanted to be there so bad for you, to support you. It meant the world to you for your brother to show up to this poetry meeting and listen to you, but I bailed, I put Halloween above supporting you."

He sat with this typed out for what felt like hours, but was only mere seconds, before deleting it.

Suddenly his vision went completely black before he heard a sweet voice "Guess who?"

He put his finger to his chin in a thinking gesture, "Hmm, well you could be anyone, but my guess is…Jordan!"

The hands blocking his vision were moved aside to reveal Jordan's face above him. He tilted his head up to get a better view of her.

"How's it goin?" He asks.

"Not bad, sorry if I was a little late, we had a substitute teacher in my art class, she was a little…well to be crass, she was a bitch." She replied.

This earned a chuckle from the albino haired teen. Jordan walked in front of the boy and put a hand on her hip, "So, ready to go?"

He stood up and nodded, "As ready as you are."

They departed for his house while conversing. Another text came in on Lincoln's phone, pulling it out it was a text from Lana.

"hey bro, where are ya? We've been waiting in Vanzilla for a while now"

Lincoln quickly typed back.

"Decided to walk home today, sorry for not mentioning it earlier, you go on without me."

He put his phone away as he felt it buzz in his pocket, assumedly being another text from his grease monkey little sister.

"Who was that?" Jordan asked from beside him.

"Oh, that was just Lana, she was asking where I was, so I told I was walking home today." He replied.

"Oh, she's the one that goes to pageants and stuff right?" She asked.

Lincoln held up a finger, "No that's Lola, Lana is the one that works on cars and loves animals."

"Oh, I always get the two mixed up." She says as she nervously scratches the back of her neck.

"Heh yea, she's my little grease monkey, she's also a huge fan of Spider-Man too, so there's that too." He continues.

Jordan looks at Lincoln with wider eyes, "She likes Spider-Man? Like, how much?"

"You can not get her to stop talking about him, it's either cars, animals, or Spider-Man for her." He says, a little prideful of the fact that he hears praise from someone so close to him.

"Really? It's the same with Christine, she cannot stop talking about Spider-Man. It's like all she talks about, I wouldn't be surprised if she had a crush on him." She says with a nervous giggle at the end.

Lincoln blushes at this statement, it had never crossed his mind that some people might actually have a crush on Spider-Man. He did know that the people who did have crushes on him only really did so at a base level, as he'd never really revealed all too much about himself to the public, the most anyone really knew was that he was a guy, his body shape, he cracks a lot of jokes, and he had superpowers.

"Really now? That's funny…" Lincoln says, still blushing while scratching the back of his neck, and adding a little chuckle to the end of his sentence.

"Don't get me wrong, Spider-Man is pretty cool I guess, it is nice that we have someone of higher power looking over us, but I don't obsess over him, but it gets really awkward when Rachel is there with us, she does not like Spider-Man one bit, she thinks he's some sort of publicity stunt by the city to get people to move here. Which would explain why there's little to no interference from the police, but I still think that's pretty hoaky." She says to the shock of Lincoln.

"A publicity stunt by the city? That's a new one, I've heard that I'm a public menace, that I'm a criminal, that I'm an alien, a weirdo that just likes wearing spandex in public, but I've never heard of a publicity stunt." The teen thought to himself.

The two teens finally arrived at their destination. They walked up the porch steps and Lincoln unlocked the front door, allowing Jordan to step in first. He walked in after and closed it behind them.

"So, this is the place." He said.

"Wow, big house." She replied.

"Well, there used to be 13 people living here so that's probably why." Lincoln said sarcastically.

"Oh yeah, that would make sense." She said with a small giggle at the end.

"So, what do you wanna do?" Lincoln asked, not entirely sure himself.

"I don't know, what is there to do around here?" She asked, looking up at the white haired boy.

"Not much, I usually spend most of my free time reading comics, playing video games, or watching movies." The boy admits with a sheepish grin.

"What kind of video games do you play?" She asks.

"Oh just..normal ones, I play a lot of RPGs like Undertale, Final Fantasy, Persona, or Dragon Quest. I sometimes play MMOs like Warcraft with some of my friends. I like some of the Elder Scrolls like Morrowind or Oblivion, not really Skyrim though." He starts going on a long rant about what video games he plays.

Jordan just stands there watching him talk, a smile plastered on her face, her chin resting on her hand as her fingers sit over her lips.

"You are such a dork." Jordan says with that same smile.

Lincoln stops talking. "But you're a nice dork." Jordan continues.

A smile grows on the boy's face. "Come on, I wanna see your bedroom!" She takes his hand and starts running up the stairs with the boy.

They make it to his bedroom, she lets go of his hand and looks around. "Wow, you know, this is about what I expected."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lincoln asks with a quizzical look.

"Oh no, I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm just saying that I expected there to be posters and comics and geek memorabilia everywhere." She clarifies.

"Oh, thanks, I think?" He says cocking his head to the side slightly.

Jordan giggles at the way he says this. She sits down on his bed and continues to look around his room. "So, you wanna show me some of those games you seem to love so much?"

He looks at her, "You sure? I don't want you to get bored."

"Yeah, if it comes down to it we'll just play multiplayer." She replies.

"Wait, you play video games?" He asks her, raising an eyebrow.

"Well yeah, why would I ask you to show me your video games if I didn't? Granted I don't play them nearly as much as you do, but I have some I'll hop onto occasionally." She says.

"Like what? I wanna know if you have good taste." He asks, sitting beside her on his bed.

She puts her thumb and pointer finger to her chin in a thinking gesture, "Valorant is pretty cool, I also like Stardew Valley. Other than those two I don't play a whole lot though."

"Valorant and Stardew Valley huh? Not bad choices. Not ones that I'd personally play, but I've heard good things about them." The boy replies.

"I'm assuming you mostly play on PC?" She asks.

"Well, 'PC'." He says, gesturing with quotation marks on the word PC. "I play on a laptop, it's pretty alright, but it could be a lot better."

"At least you have your own laptop, I only play on our family computer in our living room that my parents use mostly for bills and budgeting." She rubs her arm as she admits this.

Lincoln chuckles, "So, you wanna show me one of your games?" Jordan asks.

"Oh sure." Lincoln stands up and sits down in his desk chair, opening up his laptop, he boots up Steam and starts up the Resident Evil 2 remake.

"I used to be a scaredy cat when it came to horror, but as I've aged I've learned to like it a lot more." He states.

There the two teens would sit for what seemed like a couple of hours talking about video games, movies they liked, music, and other such things. The clock struck 7 PM, now aware of how late it's gotten.

Jordan stretches back in her chair, revealing a small bit of a dark blue bra underneath before returning to her normal sitting position.

"It's getting pretty late, I should head home." She says while standing up.

"This is my chance! I can walk her home!" Lincoln thinks.

"You want me to walk you home?" He offers, also standing up.

She shrugs her shoulders, "Sure, if you really want to that is."

He nods as they exit his room, Lincoln is immediately greeted with the sounds of his siblings downstairs.

"Oh shit, I had spent so much time with Jordan that I forgot that my siblings had come home. What should I do?! I don't want them seeing Jordan, if they see her they'll think we're dating or something!" He ponders.

"Is everything alright?" Her voice from behind him comes through his thoughts.

He turns around, "Oh yeah, just thinking for a little bit."

"I'll just have to deal with it, if they offer advice just ignore them, deny, deny, deny, that's all I can do." He thinks to himself.

They exit the boys room and descend down the stairs.

"Linky! We haven't seen you all day!" His pageant going sister notices him and remarks.

"Is everything alright? You've been holed up in your room all day!" The other twin questions.

"Oh, yeah, everythings fine, just-" He scratches the back of his head while saying this before getting interrupted.

"Alright let's go!" Jordan comes out from behind Lincoln.

The twins in the living room stop and stare at Jordan, their mouths agape. They rush over to the girl.

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! You're so pretty! What's your name?" Lola asks.

"Oh, um, I'm Jordan. You must be Lola?" She says, clearly surprised by the sudden attention she's garnered.

"You even know my name!" Lola says very excitedly.

"Are you Lincoln's girlfriend?" The overall-clad twin questions.

Both teens blush at this question, they both nervously chuckle, Jordan waves her hands, "No no, we're not like that, we're just friends!" She replies.

"Oh what a shame! My big brother Lincoln truly is the greatest!" Lola says in a very dramatic way.

Jordan giggles lightly at this, "Yeah, I bet he is."

"I'll meet you outside Jordan, I need to talk to these two first." He waves her off.

She walks out to the front and waits for him.

He kneels down to them, "Hey, I know you're super excited that I had a girl over, but can you please keep this a secret? For your big brother?" He asks, clasping his hands together in a begging gesture.

"Do you like her?" Lana asks.

"Well, of course I like her, she's my friend after all." He replies.

"I mean do you like her like her, do you have a crush on her?" The older twin clarifies.

Lincoln blushes and looks away, "T-that doesn't matter."

"EEEE! You have a crush on her!" Lola squee's in excitement for her older brother.

"Shush!" Lincoln put his finger up to his mouth, "She's right outside you know!"

"Oh right, sorry." Lola says sheepishly.

"Just please keep this to yourselves, I don't want anymore attention about a girl being over." He pleads.

"Oh fine, we won't tell anyone." Lola remarks.

"Do you pinky promise?" He holds out his pinky.

The twins wrap their pinkies around his, "Pinky promise!" They both say in unison.

"Okay, thank you. I'm gonna go walk her home now. I'll be back soon!" He takes his pinky back and walks outside to meet Jordan.

Jordan is seen sitting on the steps of the porch, she turns to look at Lincoln and smiles, "You ready?"

"Yeah, let's go." He walks down the steps.

She stands up and starts walking beside him. The two teens make it a long way in silence before Jordan starts a conversation.

"So, your sisters seem to like me." She says sheepishly while rubbing her arm, avoiding eye contact.

"Yeah, they're a little nosy huh?" He replies.

She waves her hand, "Oh it's fine, they're young and they see their brother with a girl, it's normal for them to have that kind of thought."

"I'm just glad you didn't take offense to it." He admits.

"Why would I take offense to it? You're a great guy, I feel like anybody who dates you would be super lucky." She says, looking away and blushing.

Lincoln also blushes, looking away and rubs his arm, "T-thanks…for what it's worth, you're also pretty great. I feel like any guy who dates you would also be super lucky."

"Except for Chandler. He's just…well…he was a character." Jordan says.

He looks at Jordan with a shocked expression, "You dated Chandler?"

"Very briefly, he tricked me into thinking he had changed and was this great guy, but after a while he finally showed his true colors, he just wanted to date me so he could look better, because as he put it 'he'd be dating the most popular girl in our grade' yuck." She elaborates, folding her arms over her chest in disgust.

The two teens made it to her house. They turn to face each other.

"Hey, I had a lot of fun today." Jordan admitted.

"Yeah, me too. I hope we can do this again sometime." Lincoln said, hoping she would agree.

"Me too! I'll see you tomorrow at school, okay?" She says.

Lincoln nodded, "Yeah, see you tomorrow."

She nodded back and stepped up to her front door, "Goodbye Lincoln." She said, waving to him.

He waved back before she entered her house, no longer to be seen. Lincoln exhaled deeply, taking a step back.

"I don't even remember why I was so worried lately. Man, she's so cool." He talks to himself.

Spider-Man swings through the city, doing a quick patrol before heading home for the night. He swings throughout the taller buildings in his city, before his Spider-Sense starts blaring, he quickly shoots two webs toward a building and pulls himself toward it. Sticking to it, his Spider-Sense goes off again, he does backwards handsprings up the building before landing on the rooftop. Just then the thing that his Spider-Sense was warning him about makes itself seen. The Vulture rises from beneath the building.

Spider-Man narrows his eyes, "Vulture."

"You got away from me last time, I won't let that happen again." The Vulture charges toward Spider-Man.

He flips out of the way and pulls himself up further using his webs. Vulture turns around and starts charging toward him again. Spider-Man faces his adversary.

"I won't let you beat me again, this time, I'll defeat you for sure!" Spider-Man shouts at his opponent, ready for the next confrontation.
