Spider-Man: LOUD Season 2 Chapter 1
"More of the Different"
"Alright, let's do this one last time."
Spider-Man ran across the side of a building, leaping from it, shooting two webs toward a taller building and pulling himself toward it.
"My name is Lincoln Albert Loud, and for the past…roughly year and a half, I have been your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man."
He lands on one building and leaps off of it, shooting another web toward another building and swinging from it, some people cheering him on from the ground, while others shake their heads in disapproval.
"I've been around, y'know, punching this guy, kicking that one, taking selfies with random people on the street, the usual."
He crashes through a window and stops a jewelry store robbery, webbing the criminals up to a lamppost and lightly spinning them around. He takes a picture with two brunette girls on the street.
"I'd say life is pretty sweet. Nothing can truly keep me down, not anymore!"
Royal Woods prison. The prison most criminals get sent to. Inside his holding cell Herman Shultz sat on his bed. He heard a metal clang to the right of him.
"Come on Shultz, your time here is over. You're a free man now." A guard told him from beyond the metal bars.
He looked over to the guard as he stood up. Walking over to the door, the guard unlocked the cell and opened it for the prisoner.
Herman was given his street clothes back, a black bomber jacket, blue jeans, black work boots, and a silver wristwatch. He walked outside in his "new" attire, he lightly stroked his stubble, he had his brown hair styled in a short undercut. He looked out into the world, closed his eyes, and appreciated the cool breeze with the warm sun on his face.
"Finally…now I can pay my old friend a visit. I hope my good old friend Spider-Man is ready for me."
SPIDER-MAN: LOUD SEASON 2
The next day was sunny, a few clouds in the sky, but nothing to make the day gloomy. It had been almost a week since the Lizard incident, Lana had gone back to being her regular cheerful self after a few days of having nightmares and random sleepwalking occurrences.
The Loud's all gathered outside to say goodbye to their sporty sister Lynn.
"I'm gonna miss you LJ." The father said as he patted her on the back, wiping a tear from his eye with the other hand.
"I know dad, I'm gonna miss you too." Lynn Jr. said with a smile.
"Somehow it never gets easier." The distressed father says.
"I'm gonna take that as a good thing." Lynn Jr. said unsure.
"I know we didn't get along the best, but I'm gonna miss you." The resident goth of the Loud house stated.
"Aw! I'm gonna miss you too, Luce!" The jock grabs her sister and starts to give her a noogie.
"Too much physical contact." The goth laments.
"I know I'm not one for sentimentals, but I will miss you 5th eldest sister." The resident genius declared.
The sporty sister let go of Lucy and smiled warmly at her other younger sister, "Aw, thanks Lis. You may be a nerd but you're okay in my book."
Lisa simply smiles and nods at this statement. Lynn looks over to Lincoln, "Hey, I wanna talk to you in private for a bit."
The albino haired boy is shocked to hear this, "Oh, okay."
He follows his sister behind vanzilla. She looks up to her now taller little brother.
"You know, I never really thought that I'd ever actually have this talk with you…" She admits, rubbing the back of her neck while looking away.
"Truth is, anytime I'd think about this conversation I'd always try to come up with some sort of plan of attack, trying to think about what I would say." She now rubbed her arm in embarrassment. Lincoln looked at her with an extreme focus.
"But I realized that that's not who I am. I don't come up with these long winded plans some time in advance. That's what you do. I'm much better at seeing what I'm given and going with what I've got." She looks back to her brother with a smile and look of determination on her face.
"And all I know is that I've got one hell of a little brother." Lincoln smiles sweetly at this comment.
"You may not be the strongest, or the fastest, or even the smartest. Smarter than me at least." She chuckles with the last comment.
"But you are ready. You are ready to be the oldest sibling now. I've seen it. Just like how Luan saw it with me, and how Luna saw it with Luan, and so on." She continues to look up at her brother.
"I guess what I'm trying to say is…you were definitely put here to do great things. Everyone can see that. Lori saw it, Leni saw it, everyone saw it. And even if we don't know what those great things are yet, we'll all be waiting to find out with you."
He smiles widely at what his sister says to him. Growing up they never shared moments like this.
"I know you'll make me proud bro." She puts her fist up and fist bumps Lincoln, Lincoln making an explosion after disconnecting the fist bump, "No, no explosion that's lame." She continued.
"Oh, okay." The boy said, embarrassed.
She chuckled at her awkward little brother, "Come on, I gotta go."
They come back around from Vanzilla. Lynn exchanges a hug with each of her family members one last time, she gets into her car, an old red muscle car, waves goodbye one last time, and sets off for her own life.
A steamy bathroom is only natural when getting ready for a date. The shower would be running for a long while, the person making absolutely sure they have everything right.
Jordan steps out of the shower, steam covering her curvy silhouette. She dries off her hair, then her body, and puts the towel back on the rack she grabbed it from. She starts off by sliding on a black high leg thong, she couldn't tell you why, she just liked wearing them. She thought they were comfortable.
She then slides on a pair of loose gray sweatpants, a white stripe goes down the side of each leg. She puts on some white ankle socks with some white and black high tops. She then hooks on her blue bra and tops it off with a yellow crop top. She puts her hair into a braided ponytail, and sets out.
"Bye mom!" She calls out to her mother who sits in the dining room.
She looks up from the book she's reading, "Where are you headed all of a sudden?"
Jordan opens the front door, "I told you yesterday, I'm hanging out with Lincoln today!"
"Hmm…I don't recall you saying something like that." Her mom replies.
"Mom, I told you before you went to bed, how could you have already forgotten?" She asks with a cocked eyebrow.
"Relax honey, I'm only messing with you. You have a great day out. Remember to be home by dinner." Her mother says.
Jordan chuckles, "Sorry mom, I love you! See you later!"
Jordan steps out of the house and sets off for her and Lincoln's meeting spot.
Lincoln walks down the sidewalk looking at his phone.
"Almost there." - Lincoln
"Sweet!" - Jordan
"I'll be about 2 more minutes." Lincoln
"Don't worry, take your time! Women love being kept waiting." - Jordan
"Hardy Har." - Lincoln
Lincoln turned a street corner and put his phone in his pocket, he looked up and saw Jordan waiting at an iron fence bordering the outer dining area of a fancy restaurant.
She looked to her right and spotted him, she waves her hand in the air to catch his attention.
He smiles at her gesture and walks quickly up to her. "How's it going?" He asks.
"It's going." She replies as she looks up at him with a smile, putting her hands behind her back.
"Let's get going, I know this place just down the street from here that makes some killer drinks!" The white haired teen expressed.
"Alright, lead the way hotstuff!" Jordan said without thinking.
Lincoln stood there, face currently red, "Y-yeah! Can do!" he started walking in front of Jordan at a quick pace out of embarrassment.
"H-hey, Lincoln! Wait up Lincoln!" She started to run after him, as he was already quite a ways away from her. "What did I say to set him off like that?" She wondered.
She caught up to him pretty fast, slowing down as she got next to him, matching his pace, he had slowed down a bit.
"Wow, you caught up fast." He said to her.
"Well, doing track helps." She said this as she adjusted her sweatpants up.
"You do track?" The boy asked with a quizzical look on his face.
"Did track." She pointed an informative finger upward, "Did it in freshman and sophomore year, then the head track coach retired and was replaced, wasn't much fun after that."
"Oh, that…sucks. Sorry to hear that." He says looking back ahead of him.
"Yeah, do you do any extracurricular activities?" She asked.
"Oh, uh…I was in the anime club in sophomore year. Other than that, no." He said, slightly ashamed.
"Ah, what kind of anime did you watch?" She asked.
"A little bit of everything. Devil is a Part Timer, Toradora, Charlotte, Classroom of the Elite, stuff like that."
She simply nodded, taking notes for a test that would never come.
"Ah, here we are!" He stopped with the girl by his side, they looked at a sign that overhang a doorway, "Tiffany's" it read.
She looked over to the boy, "Really? Breakfast at Tiffany's?"
He looked awkwardly away from the girl, "I have no idea what you mean."
She sighs and looks down, closing her eyes, "Well, ignoring your lame joke, I've never actually been here."
He chuckles, "Well, let's go in."
The two teens walk into the small Café and are immediately hit with the smell of coffee and a sense of comfort. The floors were a dark wooden paneling with a dark brown paint coating the walls. To the right of them was an area with a couch and two similar chairs sitting beside it with a red carpet sitting beneath them. To the left were standard black metal chairs and tables to sit down with friends or study. Ceiling fans spun above them, giving them a nice relaxing breeze.
"So, do I know how to pick a good spot or what?" The teen asked.
Jordan looked over to him, a smile on her face, "You sure do. I feel right at home just by walking in."
"C'mon, let's go order. My treat." The white haired teen stated.
She followed him up to the counter and ordered her drink alongside him. Then go to sit down at a table.
"So, how's life…uh…without your dad." The boy asks.
"Oh um…" She starts.
"If you're comfortable sharing I mean. I don't wanna pry." He continues.
"No no, it's okay. I think I'm close enough with you to tell you…" She responds.
"Oh, I didn't know you thought we were so close. I'm flattered really." Lincoln responded, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I mean, yeah. We've been hanging out and talking to each other for a while now," She says, also rubbing the back of her neck.
"So, to answer your question," She walked back to her seat and sat back down, "It's been…hard…"
He looked at her with a solemn look.
"It's definitely gotten easier, but…it still feels really weird to not have my dad there." She says, looking down, bringing her knees up and hugging them.
"He was our main source of income, and sure he had some money set aside for if something like this happened…but it just…" She takes a second to think about what to say next, "It just feels different…without him around."
Lincoln looks down for a second to reflect on what she'd just said.
"It's my fault…" He thinks, "Tell her. Tell her you're Spider-Man…so then she won't waste her time with you…"
"But, I mean…I do get to hang out with you more…so I guess it kind of works out? I don't know yet." She says, "I've calmed down a lot more since then…but my feelings towards Spider-Man have stayed the same."
"Heh, yeah…" He said, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.
"So…how are your sisters?" She asks, switching subjects.
He looks at her, wide-eyed at how quickly she changed the subject. "Oh, they're okay." He starts, "Lana's been doing good. She was sleepwalking for a little bit after the incident, but Lisa just chalked that up to early symptoms of PTSD or something."
"It's nice to know she's doing good." She takes a sip of her drink.
"Lola was terrified. She was probably the happiest out of all of us to get Lana back…" He states.
"Well I'd imagine, they're twins after all." She says leaning in, resting her arms on the table.
"They really do have a special bond. A kind of bond I wish I could have with someone." The white haired boy laments.
"Well…" She starts, "Maybe someday you can…" She finishes.
Lincoln blushes at her statement, "You really think so?"
"Of course, you're a great guy." She continues.
His cheeks burn an even brighter red.
"Okay!" She stretches back in her chair, her crop top lifting up just enough for Lincoln to catch a glimpse of her frilly blue bra underneath, he immediately turns away. "We should head out now. We still have more stuff to do today!"
She stands up and grabs Lincoln's hand and pulls him out of his chair and out of Tiffany's.
Lucy Loud sat on her bed, she wore black and white striped pajama pants and a white short sleeve shirt.
"That scratch.." She ponders about the scratch Lincoln had supposedly gotten by tripping.
"Something doesn't feel right about it."
She stands up and opens her dark oak wood dresser. She pulls out a frilly black skirt, white and black leggings, a black corset, black short sleeve shirt, and a white long sleeve shirt.
She gathers them all up and heads to the bathroom.
"There's definitely something up with him. I just can't put my finger on it."
Lincoln and Jordan walked around the Royal Woods Mall. Exploring shops, food areas, and photo booths.
Jordan stopped and looked at a specific store, a clothing store, "Let's go into this one!" She exclaimed.
They walk into the store and are greeted with several different clothing racks to explore and some changing booths.
"I didn't even know this store was here!" Jordan exclaimed.
"I did." He replied dryly.
Jordan looks at him with a cocked eyebrow, "You did?"
"When you have ten sisters, and three of them are obsessed with their looks, you tend to know every location of a clothing or makeup store in a 500 mile radius." He explains in a monotone voice.
She shrugs her shoulders, "Fair."
They walk deeper into the shop, exploring different isles and racks.
"Ooh!" Jordan exclaims.
She rushes over to the womens underwear section. She picks up a purple bra with a black vine-like pattern at the top.
"Oh it's so cute!" She says excitedly holding it.
"Oh yeah?" Lincoln says, nervous trying to not look like a creep while in a womens underwear section.
"I should not be in here." He thinks.
"What do you think?" She turns around and holds the bra up to her chest in front of her crop top, mimicking as if she was wearing it.
"Oh, uh…I don't really know anything a-"
"I'll put it on really quick! Then you'll give me your opinion!" She cuts him off.
She grabs his hand and drags him over to a changing booth, "I'll only be second!"
He stands outside waiting, "Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit!" He panicked, "There's no way I'm about to see the toppest tier girl in a bra!"
He starts sweating as he hears clothes shuffling from behind the curtain. His face is almost completely red, then the curtain opens.
She steps out, only wearing her shoes, socks, and sweatpants, her top was replaced with the purple bra she'd grabbed, her breasts squished together in the bra.
"So? How does it look?" She smiles widely.
His face becomes even redder than it was before. "L-looks…great…" He turns his face away, embarrassed.
She smiles at his comment, "Awesome! I'll get this one then! I'll look around for some more I like first."
"H-how are you not nervous?" He whispers, mostly to himself.
She blinks and looks at him with a confused face, "Well, I said it before, I'm pretty comfortable around you. What's there to be embarrassed about?"
"N-nothing just…put a shirt on now…" He says, desperately shooing away the impure thoughts.
She walks back into the changing booth. He calms down as she walks back out wearing her top again, holding the bra in her hands.
"Damn, that bra reminds me of a time…" He begins to think to himself, "Ronnie Anne…that time she visited with Bobby and Lori…almost a year ago…"
"Lincoln?" Jordan breaks his train of thought.
"Huh? Oh! Sorry, I was lost in my own thoughts for a second…what were you saying?"
She puts her hands up, holding a red silk bra, "I said that I'm gonna buy these bras and try them on at home. I'll tell you how they feel after I try them on."
He gets wide eyed, "That sound like a deal?" She asks.
"Sure?" He says, unsure of if she's joking or not.
"Well, I'm done here, let's go!" They walk to the front counter to pay for her things and leave.
Herman walks into a warehouse, red bricks with gray cinder blocks for the walls. Dark inside with a door illuminated in the back.
"Glad to see nobody found this place." He walks to the back door, opening it a small office laid behind.
A lamp in the corner adjacent to the door and a large gray desk sat in the corner, a safe beneath it. He kneeled down and punched in the combination. Opening the door some green and silver circuit boards were found. He pulled them out and placed them on the desk.
He walked over to the wall and moved the lamp aside, a keypad was behind, he punched in the combination and a small panel in the wall pushed in and aside.
A yellow and red pattern suit was hung on the wall, two large metal gauntlet shells to the right and left of it. "Engineering degree don't fail me now…"
Spider-Man swings through the late evening skyline. He does a flip onto a building ledge and kneels down.
"All in a day's work I guess." He says to himself.
He pulls his phone out of his utility belt at looks at the time, 9:30.
"Mom and Dad are gonna be putting everyone to bed soon. I should probably go back home before they ask where I've been," He chuckles lightly, "They probably will anyway."
He stands up and walks off the building and starts swinging home.
Spider-Man lands on the side of his house, crawling up the wall to his bedroom window, he opens it and crawls inside.
He takes off his mask and changes into his PJ's. An orange t-shirt and black sweatpants. He sits down on his bed before he hears a knock on his door.
He looks over to his door, "Come in."
The door opens and 10 year old Lola walks in. "Hi Linky." She says in a quiet voice.
She wore her pajamas too. Pink sweatpants and a pink pajama shirt with a unicorn on it.
"What's up?" He asks.
"Oh, um, Lucy was looking for you today." She reveals.
He's slightly taken aback by the comment, "She was? Why?"
"I don't know, she wanted to talk to you about something important." She says, putting her hands behind her back.
"I can't tell Lucy where I was." He thinks.
"So…where were you all day?" The blonde girl asks.
"Oh, um…" He pauses for a second, "Do you promise you won't tell anyone?"
She nods her head quickly.
"I was out with Jordan today." He whispers.
The girl gasps loudly, "Jordan? You mean, the Jordan you have a crush on?!"
He covers her mouth with his hand, "Quiet! Someone might hear you!"
She puts her hands over his hand, "Sorry!" She muffles underneath.
He moves his hand away from her mouth. She jumps up and sits on his lap, "You know, you have really strong hands." She says, walking her fingers up his chest.
He grabs her hand, "Yeah thanks. You can't tell anyone I was with her, okay?"
She giggles, "Of course I won't Linky!" She exclaims, "Is that what you think of me? I tattletail?"
"Considering you used to be a big one, yes." He said with a deadpan expression.
"Used to! Two very keywords!" She says snarkily.
"Fine. You win." He says defeated. "You have to go to bed though. It's past your bedtime."
"Okay." She says sadly as she hops off his lap. "I wish you good luck with Lucy tomorrow."
"Good night Lola." He says monotone.
"Good night Linky!" She says sweetly, walking in an exaggerated fashion, swaying her hips more than needed as she walks out the door.
"A true pageant queen walk." He thinks.
He lies down on his bed and turns off his lamp. Despite more bedrooms being available, bigger ones too, he still prefers the small renovated linen closet. It's cozy and big enough for him.
He plugs his phone in and sets it on his nightstand. He closes his eyes, ready for bed.
To be continued…
