Spider-Man: LOUD Season 2 Chapter 3

"Past Demons"

"Cristina?!" Lincoln says, shocked.

"That's my name, don't wear it out!" The redhead jokes, leaning forward and smiling, winking and pushing her cheek with her pointer finger.

"W-what are you doing here? I thought you moved out of Royal Woods?" He asks.

"Well, I did! But my dad got a job offer here, and so we moved back." She explains.

"Ah, that makes sense…" He looks to the left, nervous.

"Hm? Why so nervous?" She asks, leaning in once more, poking his chest.

"N-no reason." He replies.

"Ooh, you've certainly grown up~" She says in a seductive tone, looking up at him.

"I-I don't know what you mean!" He says, blushing.

She grabs his bicep, feeling it, "Ooh, so strong!" She says.

He looks down at her, still blushing, "Y-you say I've grown up, b-but have you looked in a mirror?"

Now it was her turn to blush, she let go of his arm, "H-huh?" She stutters out.

He turns his body towards her, "L-look at you! You've grown up more than me!" He blurts out, "Look at how well endowed you've become!" He says, gesturing toward her breasts, which were decently large for her age, and her low cut crop top wasn't helping her case.

She blushes harder than ever, her face as red as a tomato, "A-at least someones noticed! It took forever for these things to grow!" She put her hands on her hips.

"Well-" He started to talk, but was interrupted, "Cristina!" Jordan runs up to the redhead and embraces her in a hug.

"Jordan!" She replies, returning the hug.

They break the hug after a few seconds and look at each other, "How've you been girl?!" Jordan asks.

"Oh, I've been great! How've you been?" She asks.

"Oh, today's been good so far!" The auburn haired girl responded.

"That's great! You look amazing by the way!" She complimented.

"Oh, thank you! You don't look too bad yourself girl!" Jordan responds.

"Oh stop it, you're such a charmer!" Cristina jokes.

"Oh, Lincoln!" Jordan turns to see her white haired friend, having seen all of this, "I wanted to know if you were down with having dinner at my place on Saturday? My mom really wants to get to know you!"

Lincoln gains a shocked expression, "Oh, um…yeah, I'm down!"

She jumps up slightly, "Sweet! I'll text you the deets later!"

She walks away before turning around and waving goodbye to the two, who wave back.

Once Jordan exits their view, Cristina starts talking, "So…" She starts, "You and Jordan a thing?"

Lincoln looks back at the redhead, a blush on his face, "W-what?! No…just friends…"

Cristina looks up at Lincoln, "Good, because…" She presses herself against the teens body, and whispers into his ear, "I wore your favorite color today~"

"W-wait, what?" The teen asked, confused.

Cristina wrapped one of her arms behind Lincoln's neck, pivoting his head to look down, her other arm pulling down part of her crop top, an orange lace bra coming into view underneath.

He blushes hard, "C-Cristina?! What are you doing?!"

She giggles, "I don't know, what am I doing?" She backs up, "If you ever wanna…y'know…see more…just text me~"

She turns around and walks away, swaying her hips more than usual.

"I don't even have your number!" He shouts down the hall at her.

He then puts his hands in his pocket, feeling something in one he pulls out a ripped piece of notebook paper, a phone number written on it, with a heart at the end.

He deadpans, "Oh you've gotta be kidding me."

Otto Octavius was sitting in his office at Oscorp, typing away on an important document. The humming of air conditioning coming from a vent above his desk.

"May 30th"

Testing for the Globulin Green serum has begun. We've begun testing it on lab mice and other such rodents.

Current results are mixed. Subjects are experiencing enhanced strength, speed, agility, and durability, however there is one large side effect. All subjects have experienced different side effects, some vomit after the serum runs its course, some experience extreme exhaustion, but all of them have experienced insanity during the serums run through.

Rats have been reported to have been eating other rats, severely injuring other rats, or tricking rats into hurting themselves.

These side effects are too much of a threat for the safety of test subjects and scientists. The formula will have to return to formula before any further testing is done.

Dr. Otto Octavius

Otto leans back in his chair and stretches, after returning to his normal sitting position his vision is obscured by a cloth being put over his face. His hands are bound, and he's knocked unconscious by a blunt object striking his head.

Lincoln sits at a table much too small for him. His knees scrunched up to his chest.

"Here you go Mr. Sprinkles~" His little sister Lola says sweetly while pouring a cup of imaginary tea for her long time stuffed bear friend.

She makes her way around the table, pouring a cup of imaginary tea in each one, before sitting down herself.

"Um…Lola, why am I here?" He asks.

"Quiet! I have some important business I wish to discuss with you." She says harshly, a stark contrast of her sweet tone prior.

Lincoln reels back from her tone, "And that is?"

Lola pours her own tea, her face holding a stern look to it, "So, I heard Cristina was back at school today."

Lincoln leans forward quickly, his hands almost slamming onto the table, "Where'd you hear that?!"

She looks up from her cup, "Word gets around fast these days."

"Okay…but, why do you care?" He asks, a quizzical look appearing on his face.

"Just wanted to know if you were…you know, still in love with her." She says.

"What? Why would I still be in love with Cristina? You know that I…um…have a crush on Jordan…" He says that last part quietly.

The girl laughs, "Lincoln, honey, let me explain something…"

She stands up and makes her way to her older brother, "Lincoln, this girl broke your heart when you were in Elementary school."

She places her hand on his shoulder, looking down to him, "After so many years of thinking about her and only just now seeing the girl who broke your heart again, it would only be natural that your heart would pine for her again."

"Is that really how that works?" The teen asks.

"Of course it is Lincy!" She looks down at her brother with a concerned look, "The human heart is a complicated thing!"

"I mean," He moves his hand to his chin in a thinking gesture, "That makes sense…"

"Of course it does, I'm the one telling you." Lola responds, walking away.

Lincoln looks down, "I don't have feelings for Cristina…" He looks to Lola, who looks back at him, "Not anymore."

Lola smiles, "Good boy."

"Um…" Lincoln raises an eyebrow, "Thank you?"

Lola waves him off, "No problem dear."

Otto breathed heavily. He had no idea where he was. His vision was still obscured and his shirt was removed.

"Otto." A familiar voice came from in front of him.

Suddenly the blindfold was lifted, the sudden light blinding him.

Once his eyes adjusted he found the man behind the familiar voice, "N-Norman?" He says in a quizzical tone.

"That's right Otto." He says, his monotone voice being a common sound Otto hears.

"Otto, do you recall what I told you would happen if Conners failed?" He asked.

"Y-yes?" Otto said, his voice cracking.

"Good. Then you know what's about to come next." Norman stated.

Otto's eyes grew wide, "P-please sir!" He cried, "I beg of you! Please don't hurt me! Give me another chance!" Otto begged.

Norman exited the room, the glass panel being the only way Otto could see him. He was on the opposite side of the room that he used to be in. He wasn't testing the subjects anymore, he was the test subject.

"W-what are you going to do to me?!" He cried once more.

"Relax, this will be harmless." Norman replies.

Otto shuts his eyes tight. A loud mechanical sound comes from in front of him.

"Are you aware of what these are Otto?" Norman's voice comes through again.

He opens his eyes, "T-those are…" His eyes widen, "Those are the Oscorp Cerebral Tentacle Obedience Pathology Unit Systems! The OCTOPUS Arms!" He says, his voice terrified.

"I knew I could always count on you to be the smartest in the room." Norman compliments the trapped man.

"W-what are you doing?!" Otto shuts his eyes again, screaming.

The Loud noise returns, traveling from in front of him to behind him.

Otto stands in his restraints, terrified of what will come next.

He feels a cold piece of metal crawl against his spine, shaping itself to match his spinal curve.

He shivers from the cold metal embracing his bare skin.

"And I know I can count on you to be the one to stop that wretched arachnid." His voice comes back.

Otto opens his eyes, the realization finally upon him.

"N-no sir! You can't do this!" He shouts, "I've done everything you've asked! Filed every paper! Tested every subject! Please!" He cries out.

No response comes through. The only thing that comes is silence, before a sharp stabbing pain cuts through his back, stabbing into his spinal column.

He screams in pain, trying to shake out of his restraints, but to no avail.

A light placed at the bottom of his neck that was once blue turns red.

Otto stops all action. Ceasing all movement and speech.

"Otto?" Norman's voice returns over the speaker.

Otto's head rises from its slumped position.

"What must you do Otto?" Norman asks.

A scowl grows across the man's face, "I must destroy Spider-Man."

Norman smiles, "Good Doctor Octopus."

Cristina jumped on her bed, she wore a navy blue sports bra and some black short shorts, her hair was straight and damp, having just exited the shower.

She sighs, "It's good to be home."

Just then her phone starts vibrating, looking over, she sees a caller ID, "Jordan" it reads.

She picks up the phone and swipes on the green button, "Hey girlfriend." She says in a sweet tone.

"How's it goin' babe?" Jordan responds in a similar sweet tone,

"Oh it's going great! Today was such a wonderful first day back." The redhead responds.

"That's great!" She responds, "Listen, I have a proposal for you." She continues.

"Oh?" Cristina asks, shifting her body to be laying on her stomach, her elbows propping up her upper body, "And what would that be?"

"I wanna meet up for breakfast this weekend, I know a place downtown I think you'd adore." She responds.

Cristina thinks for a while, then smiles, "Yeah, I'm down."

"Awesome! Make sure to dress appropriately, it's gonna be warm on Saturday!" Jordan says.

Cristina deadpans, "Do you seriously look at the weather?"

A few seconds of silence came from the phone, "You don't?" She asks.

"Jordan, you are such a grandma." The redhead says in a monotone voice.

Laughter fills the air from both sides of the phone.

As they both calm down Jordan speaks once more, "Let's meet up at 8 AM alright? We'll make a day of it?"

"Yeah, I'd like that." Cristina responds.

"Cool! Talk to you later!" She hears from over the phone.

"Yeah, later." The redhead hangs up the phone and returns to her normal position.

She sighs once more. She rolls over to her side and slowly drifts to sleep.

Spider-Man swung through the city. The early night breeze in the spring felt great on his body. He swings off of a web and does a backflip.

"YEEHAW!" The hero shouts with his best southern draw.

He shoots another web out, it attaches to a building and he continues swinging.

He keeps swinging throughout the city when suddenly his Spider-Sense goes off.

"WOAH!" He gets grabbed by the foot and thrown through a window.

The room he lands in is pitch black, pure dead silence surrounds him.

The only thing he hears is his own breathing. Suddenly some beeping comes from behind him. An almost childlike chirping kind of beeping.

He turns around to face the beeping. He sees two red lights appear in the infinite darkness. He goes into a fighting stance, his arm elbow perpendicular to his shoulder, his hand facing out, his palm open.

The beeping continues, the lights get closer, metal claws being revealed to be owners of said red lights.

"What the hell?" He mutters to himself.

The beeping stops, a man coming into view from behind the darkness, his round head having a balding hair pattern on it. Dark shaded glasses rested in front of his emotionless eyes.

One of the arms swings at the hero, he side flips over it, landing on all fours.

He looks at the man in the eyes. Another arm comes from above, Spider-Man backflips before it hits him, the arm slams into the ground, punching a hole into the cement floor.

The webbed hero runs to the left of the man and attaches a web to the ground, running a stream from his web shooter. He jumps in the air, shoots a web to the ceiling and swings around the man, tying three of his tentacles together. He leaps back to his original standing point and yanks hard on the end of the web he had attached to his wrist.

The man loses his balance and falls to the floor, he grunts as he slams into the floor.

Spider-Man gets grabbed by the one free tentacle and gets thrown out of the building, smashing through another window.

He falls for a while, as if the world was in slow motion. "Oh shit!" He shoots a web to the window frame he was thrown out of, a claw comes out and cuts the web, keeping him falling.

The man comes out of the building and uses his tentacles to crawl alongside the building, he quickly catches up with Spider-Man and grabs him, throwing him toward another building, and jumping after him.

Spider-Man lands on the top of a building, breathing heavily. A loud crash comes from behind him, signifying that the man had landed behind him. He pushes himself from his chest to his back, looking up at him once more.

"How disappointing…" The man speaks for the first time.

"Oh, it talks! What button did I push to do that?" The hero jokes.

"Your wisecracks will not affect me, arachnid." He says dryly.

"Really? That's my best defense." The teen says with slight sarcasm in his voice.

"With all you've done I thought you'd be more of a threat." He says, "I should have known that you were no match for Doctor Octopus."

"Doctor Octopus? What kind of first draft name is that?" Spider-Man jokes.

Spider-Man shoots a web ball at Doctor Octopus, it gets close to his face before one of his tentacles comes up and grabs it before it strikes him.

He lowers the web ball to see Spider-Man right behind it, he punches Doc Ock in the face, causing him to stumble back, grunting in pain.

"YOU INSUFFERABLE," Doc Ock grabs Spider-Man's ankle with his tentacle arm and swings him into the ground, "LITTLE," Spider-Man grunts in pain, he swings the teen into a water tower, he screams in pain, clutching his ankle, trying to back free, "MORON!" He slams the hero one last time into the ground again.

He grunts in pain again, his arms trying to push him back up. Doc Ock's arm moves from his ankle and grabs his chest, "I won't make the same mistake the bird made." He says.

"Wh-at?" Spider-Man grunts out.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shoots through his chest, blood exits his mouth and chest, Doc Ock pulls his claw away from the teen, a long metal spike being pulled from his chest. More blood comes out of his chest, he scrunches up into a ball, clenching his chest, trying to ease the pain, his breathing becomes panicked.

"Goodbye, arachnid." Doctor Octopus leaps away into the night sky, disappearing before Spider-Man's very eyes.

Lucy knocks on Lincoln's bedroom door, "Lincoln?" She says.

She waits a few seconds only to hear nothing.

She knocks on his door again, "Hello?"

She waits again, grabbing the door knob and twisting, "I'm coming in, please be decent." She pushes the door open to find no one.

"What?" She walks further into the room, no sign of her brother anywhere.

She backs up one step, turns around and goes to exit before she hears a sound from the window.

Heavy panting and grunting comes from behind her. She turns around and finds an injured Spider-Man crashed through the window in her older brother's room.

Her eyes widened in shock, "W-what?" She gasps.

He pulls off his mask to reveal her worst fear. Her older brother was the man behind the mask, all along.
