Lake Leanne
Hetty had sent Granger a note saying that she wanted to see him at their meeting place. So, after cleaning himself up a bit, he went to see her.
'Hi. What did you want to talk to me about?' He asked.
'I went to another kingdom to meet up with what my advisors call 'A Proper Princess'. And she was a sad state. Always looking strict, never smiling, looked stiff as a board, harsh to her servants. Her future husband looked like a complete sleaze bag, yet she wants to marry him anyways because 'It's for the good of my kingdom', to quote her. Oy vei.' Hetty sighed.
'Let me guess, your loser advisors wanted you to learn some things from her?'
'Some of them think I'm too emotional, too rebellious, not harsh enough, it goes on and on. Believe it or not, they like to think the same about my sometimes as well! Well guess what, I'm not an emotionless robot, and I never will be! And I, will marry for love, and not to a complete loser for political reasons!'
Silence.
'Too unreasonable?' Hetty asked.
'No, not at all. In fact, I have the same desire as you. Everyone thinks I'm nuts, except for a few. But I know I'm not. My parents had an arranged marriage, and they eventually fell out of love. I don't want that to happen to me.' Granger replied.
'So, both of us are prepared to rule our kingdom alone, all because we want a spouse who love us. I find that, amazing!'
'Maybe we'll both get lucky.'
