Daily life with a Saiyan Teenager
So funny story: I've trying to write this story for a while now. I figured that Goten is the one character that not only gets zero shine in the anime/manga, but it's rare that anyone ever writes him as the protagonist which definitely makes sense because he's so underdeveloped as a character that you'd kind of need to make him OC since there wasn't enough of teen Goten in any of the media, he was in to properly characterize him. Initially, I had this weird convoluted plot to get Goten into the world of Monster Musume, but it ended up being a jumbled mess since I had nothing to really work with since Teen Goten and Trunks barely had any screen time in the Dbs. Superhero arc. That was until The Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero arc was announced and I figured that since Goten and Trunks will finally be fleshed out as teens, I'd be able to properly write them without making them so OC to the point of being cringeworthy. When the first two chapters came out, I admittedly wasn't a fan of Trunk's characterization and I always thought the Trunks/Mai relationship was creepy but the idea that Trunks would become this wimpy simp wasn't something I particularly liked and then I looked at Goten who still doesn't have a lot of characterization YET, but it was enough that I'd be able to at least begin this story. That said, this story isn't going to be a protagonist worship kind of story. He's also not getting any of the girls from the main harem either as they'll just see him as a kid. Any romance involving Goten will likely be OCS. Yes, he's op but he can't solve all his problems just by being strong. Additionally, Goten only has Super Saiyan Grade 4 and will likely not be getting a God form or SSJ4 due to not having a tail and me not being able to Justify Goten getting a God form. I'd say in this fanfiction, Goten is slightly stronger than Full Power Super Saiyan Gohan from the Cell Saga. This is subject to change since at the time of my writing this, it doesn't matter.

Prologue
It's been two years since Goku and Vegeta were defeated by Black Frieza, but surprisingly the Tyrant did not execute them. However, since then Goku and Vegeta have been training and have yet to return to Earth. Even though Frieza is on the loose, the Earth remains at peace… Well mostly anyway.
West City
"GOGOGO GET THE MONEY IN THE TRUNK" A Man with a beige mask yelled to his accomplices"
Police sirens are echoing as the money is loaded into the car and the thugs swiftly get into the vehicle and drove off well over the speed limit.
One of the thugs laughs as he opens a bag full of Zeni.
"HA THOSE CHUMPS AIN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HIT EM! Nice going boss, we're gonna be rich!
Suddenly a kid is crossing the road to get a ball that he kicked into the middle of the road.
"Uh, boss the cops are on our tail." Said one of the thugs
"THEN QUIT YER YAPPIN AND FILL THEM WITH LEAD!"
"Uh okay, boss" The man pulls out a machine gun and starts to shoot at the approaching police cars causing them to explode due to their explosive bullets and then…
"BOSS THERE'S A KID ON THE ROAD" shouted another member of the gang
"Doesn't matter, we're floorin it boys! It was nice seeing ya kid but ya got in the way!"
The kid picks up the ball and turns around counterclockwise only to be met with a car about smash right into him at lightning speed. His life flashes before his eyes and suddenly… he was back on the sidewalk.
The car came to a complete stop as suddenly a man in a suit suddenly appeared in front of the car seemingly from nowhere. The man had a white and grey suit along with a white helmet with an S on it, a red cape, and a belt with the number 2 on it.
"LISTEN PAL, WE WORKED HARD TO STEAL THIS ZENI AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO LET SOME RUNT IN A TRASH CAN RUIN IT! BOYS, SHOW EM WHAT WE'RE MAD-
The man doesn't finish his sentence as the man in the suit flips the car over.
Listen well evildoer! We're here to make the world a cleaner place, so prepare to be cleansed!
The men get out the car and aim their weapons at the hero. "You messed with the wrong gang freak. You may be strong, but we got way more fire power. BUS, GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE AND BOMB HIM INTO OBLIVION!
"Uh yes Mr. Steel Sir" The biggest of the goons pulls out a rocket launcher and shoots the hero blowing him up causing the area to be covered in smoke.
"That will teach em! YOU SEE US FOLKS, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENDS WHEN MESS WITH THE US!
The smoke clears to show that not only did rocket launcher fail to even dent the mans suit, but now there were two of them. The new hero had a similar suit than Saiyaman X-2 only his colors were inverted and instead of a two, the other hero had the number 1 on his build.
"Allow us to reintroduce ourselves. We're the cleanup heroes… Saiyaman X-1/Saiyaman X-2!", the heroes said respectively. "HERE TO TIDY UP!" they both exclaimed
"I had enough of this. fire with all that you got!
Hundreds of bullets sped toward the heroes, but Saiyaman X-2 grabbed everything they shot at him until they were out of bullets. He then opened his hand and dropped the crushed bullets onto the ground. Saiyaman X-2 vanished and knocked out all the goons with a single strike.
The Gang Leader Mr. Steel falls on his knees as two suited-up heroes walk towards him. He looks up and runs away to the police who could do nothing but watch the scene and he begs them to arrest him. "IT WAS BOLD OF YOU TO ROB A BANK IN PLAIN SIGHT… BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU, YOU WEREN'T SMART ENOUGH TO PULL IT OFF. X-1 declared.
"I SURRENDER, JUST GET ME AWAY FROM THOSE TWO MONSTERS!".
As the cops handcuff the gang boss and his goons, the heroes strike a pose. "CLEANUP COMPLETE!" They shouted.
Moments later, the heroes are on a rooftop where they remove their helmets.
"That was so rad Goten!"
"This will never get old Trunks. Our lines are even better than before!" "Listen well evildoer! We're here to make the world cleaner, so prepare to be cleansed!" Goten quotes as he strikes a pose.
"I still think we're too much like Clean god himself" Trunks responded.
"Nah, we're a team so that makes us original enough. In any case, we can't do this too often anymore otherwise our moms will find out again. Balancing out crimefighting and school is hard."
"If you say so Goten. Hey, so when do you think our dads will be back?"
"I don't know. Last I heard, they were busy training with Beerus and Whis to deal with that Frieza guy."
Trunks was perplexed by this fact as he remembered how strong Goku, and Vegeta were when Goku had killed Frieza. Sure, Frieza was stronger than the Adult Saiyan's at full power back then, but their fathers have become many times stronger since then, and for Frieza to catch up that fast felt unreal. This was also a reminder that he and Goten were always behind the others, so they were always left behind during important tournaments. "Hey Goten, wanna spar?"
"Sure, I got nothing planned but where is this coming fro- Oh I get it, you're trying to impress Mai aren't you?"
At this Trunks blushes. "What!? Of course not! I was just thinking that we should get stronger so we can help with the next big bad guy. I know we won't be at our dad's level anytime soon, but we should at least be able to do something the next time the Earth is in danger.
Goten paused in deep thought. His own strength was never even close to enough to fight a serious threat. In the past, both he and Trunks always relied on Fusion to be effective and eventually, even Fusion became useless because even Gotenks in all his glory couldn't even leave a dent on that purple clone of Trunk's father in his base form and every other threat was stronger than the clone. This wouldn't do. "Yeah, you're right. We can't always rely on our dads to save the day every time there's a big threat. Let's make it quick though, I can't miss dinner. Also, where are we going to spar anyway?"
"Just follow me."
Moments later in the Mountains near West City.
"This takes me back. Last time we had a fight like this, it was in the world tournament." Trunks reminisced"
"Yeah, I remember. After our fight, we snuck into the adults' division and got disqualified" Goten said as he sweat dropped.
"Hey, we were just kids, we didn't know any better. Said Trunks.
"Well, in any case, I won't lose to you this time," Goten replied.
"You understand I won't let that happen right?." Trunks said smugly
"Of course, I do, but it won't make a difference". Replied Goten in an equally smug tone.
The two Saiyan teens flew straight toward each other colliding their arms. This singular clash would evolve into a barrage of punches and kicks from both Goten and Trunks causing the ground to break from the force of their attacks. Trunks landed the first hit, punching Goten square in the face which sent him flying into a mountain, but before he could crash, Goten used a ki blast to ricochet himself off the wall to dodge Trunks's next punch leaving him open allowing Goten to fire a Ki Blast at him which knocked him back into the air.
Trunks smirks. "Not bad, you've definitely better than I thought but you're still not strong enough."
Trunks disappears and then reappears in front of Goten and kicks him in the face knocking him far away. Both of Trunks hands are replaced with yellow balls of ki and then he fires a yellow beam. Goten attempts to get out the way but Trunks then guides it towards him so he decides to counter with his own ki blast.
"KAMEHAMEHA" Goten shouted but it was barely charged so it ended up being overpowered and it exploded upon contacting Goten.
"Is that all you got Goten?
"N-Not even close," Goten said while panting from the blast. "I'm just getting started. Let's take it up a notch!"
"Both of the Saiyans start charging and their hair becomes a vibrant yellow"
"You're only getting started huh? Well, then I'll just have to end you before you even have a chance."
Music: Dragon Soul
The Saiyan's clash at high speed matching blow for blow while causing shockwaves that shock the entire area and could be felt from the city. Goten headbutted Trunks in the stomach at speeds far faster than light and Trunks responded by slamming him into the ground with both of his hands and followed up with a barrage of ki blasts but Goten uses afterimage to dodge them all, shows up behind Trunks and fire's a huge Kamehameha wave which was charged this time around causing damage to trunks and sending him through countless mountains. Goten beams straight through the holes in the mountains he blasted Trunks through. 'I hope I didn't overdo it'. Thought Goten who was shortly met with 4 yellow ki blasts coming from the smoke which he was able to dodge, and then Trunks flew up and attempted to punch Goten but his punch was countered by Goten's own, sending them both flying back. They both lowered themselves to ground level. Goten decided to land on a big rock that formed from one of the destroyed mountains, and Trunks stood on an even taller rock. Trunks was panting as Goten was earlier, but he was smiling and so was Goten. They had been enjoying themselves, but it was time to end the spar. Goten took a stance similar to Goku when he first fought Vegeta and Trunks did the same but for Vegeta instead. Trunks flew into the air to charge his final attack and Goten stayed on the rock while doing the same. Gotens hands were encased by a light blue energy ball which was easily the size of a beach ball and Trunks energy ball was about twice as small but he had two on each hand. He then combines the ki blasts by bringing his hands together and points his finger out like a gun. He then fires a huge yellow ki blast similar to Vegeta's Final Flash while Goten fires a huge blue ki blast. The ki blasts meet and neither of them overpowered the other. Eventually, the beam clash caused a massive explosion.
Music ends
Goten is standing and Trunks lowers himself to the ground. They are both exhausted from the spar, so they decided to call it a draw. Of course, they could have continued to fight a little bit longer, but Goten's mom, Chi-Chi wanted him home by a certain time, so he couldn't even if he wanted to. He also didn't want her to find out he was playing Superhero after she told him not to.
"That was fun, we should do that again sometime!" Said Goten satisfied with the spar.
"You can say that again. I haven't had a good fight like that in a while. Being a hero is fun and all but beating up thugs is too easy." Replied Trunks.
"Well, I'll see you later Trunks, my mom will be mad at me if I don't get home soon. I enjoyed myself so much that I lost track of time".
"Bye Goten! I'll see you at school!".
The two Saiyan's part ways.
Little did they know, a new evil was on the prowl…
Blue Hal Highschool 4 Days after the fight Goten had with Trunks
"Today was a field trip? That completely slipped my mind!" Goten exclaimed.
"Uh yeah, we're going to capsule corp.," said his friend Choc.
"Oh, cool," Goten said indifferently."
"Yeah, that reaction makes sense. I mean you and Trunks pretty much bros. You've probably been there many times.".
"Well yeah, but I'm sure we'll all have fun. I wonder what we're going to do there today."
"Well, I heard some guy called Dr. Hedo is showing off some of his new inventions. They say he's taken technology to the next level!".
This sparked Goten's curiosity. Dr. Hedo was responsible for creating his first real challenge as a superhero. He had created an undead Dinosaur Android and though he still defeated it rather easily with the help of Trunks, they both needed to go Super Saiyan. And then there was that Cell Creature that was so powerful, that Gohan needed to unlock this new transformation to defeat it. It was a shame that he and Trunks couldn't fight it properly due to failing their fusion, but another time is bound to come.
"Dr. Hedo huh? Well, I need to see this."
"Hey Goten, you know Trunks' mother, right? Think you can introduce me? Maybe I can ask her about what Trunks' type is." said a young blonde girl by the name of Flier.
"Um, sure I guess I can do that," Goten replies with a nervous look.
A few hours later at Capsule Corporation
Gotens class has arrived and is prepared to watch Dr. Hedo showcase his new inventions. Little do they know; they are being observed. After everyone is seated in the auditorium, Dr. Hedo shows off some of his inventions. "So, this is my new and improved portal gun." He demonstrates it by shooting a portal on the ground and then onto the ceiling and throwing a ball into the bottom portal causing an infinite loop. "Pretty cool right?" Most of the kids are impressed with the first invention. The second invention was a robot that could read minds. He had tested it on some random staff member, but students had a hardd time buying its legitimacy. He eventually gets to his final invention.
"This is my current main project. Behold! Interdimensional travel! It's a work in progress and I can't exactly control where objects land once they reach the other side but once I'm done, we'll be able to explore another dimension!" He starts by placing a small robot with a camera on a pad before said pad is encased in glass. With the press of a button, there's a flash inside the glass in which the robot is gone. However, a screen appears, and the robot is in an unrecognizable location. It was most likely on another planet somewhere. "Pretty cool huh" Said with a smile. Before anyone can react, the walls are blown up only to reveal…. A bunch of random civilians.
"Hey, what do you think where doing? Can't you see I'm showing off my new inventions?"
"Your inventions are insignificant. Now bring me the Saiyan barbarian." Said all the invading humans collectively.
"What's going on Goten said?"
"Your race poses a threat to all life in the galaxy; therefore, you must be exterminated." The Civilians say in synch before they all start attacking the young Saiyan, but he effortlessly dodges them all.
Dr. Hedo Raises a blaster at strange people.
"Wait, put that down, somethings not right here. Let's try to kill anyone.
A gray blob appears from one of the civilians' brains and pounces right at Goten. The Saiyan sees this and immediately dodges. It reminded him of when he was absorbed by Majin Buu. Realizing the threat, Goten went Super Saiyan.
"What do you want with me? I was just enjoying a field trip." Goten said annoyed.
"The Super Saiyan of Legend… a campfire story told by Saiyans and the fuel for our nightmares. No matter. Soon that form and your life will be mine but do not despair. Through me, you will attain salvation.
"Who and what are you."
"You may call me Boruchi, the last of the Tuffle. You Saiyans are responsible for the genocide of my people so I will make sure you can't do it to anyone ever again. I will be taking your body to eliminate the other Saiyans. Once I'm done with that, I will ensure that this galaxy is a safe place for all races.
"And what about the people you're controlling?! Where's their peace? What did the people of Earth ever do to you?
"They will become the new Tuffle. Do not fret, I won't turn the entire species into Tuffle. Only a select few will attain greatness and of course, over time, humans and Tuffle will interbreed.
"You're insane. Do you think that you have the right to decide which race can live and which race can die?
"You don't get to lecture me on what's right or wrong after what your race has done. I will keep the peace by ensuring no race can ever become too powerful again."
"I wasn't even alive during that time! From what my brother told me, the Saiyans used to be space pirates or something like that but the Saiyans that did that are all dead! Now, we just want to live peacefully on Earth!"
Boruchi aims his blaster at the Saiyan and fires. Goten dodges but fails to dodge a punch to the face sending him back a few feet. Boruchi then appears behind the Saiyan and Karate chops his neck before kicking him to the ground.
"HA!" Goten fires a ki blast as he falls to the ground but Boruchi slaps it away as he flies towards him and kicks him in the abdomen, sending them both crashing into the ground and causing collateral damage. The Tuffle parasite then stomps on Gotens abdomen a few times before opening his mouth to speak.
"Even if that were true, what's to stop one of your descendants from growing up and destroying the planet? You may think that you can teach your children the value of peace and love, but one day one of your descendants will be corrupted by someone or something, and who would stop them from bringing ruin to the galaxy? Rest assured; your kind isn't the only race that needs to be exterminated. The Namekians are also a threat. They are a mostly peaceful race and most of them don't have the power to destroy planets and they usually don't attack anyone unless they're threatened. The problem lies in their ability to create Dragon Balls. Not only do these mystical orbs have the power to disrupt the natural cycle of life, but anyone could use them for their own purposes. If someone like a Saiyan were to wish for immortality, then we couldn't stop them."
"You talk about other people being a threat to the galaxy, but what about you? You have no problem trampling over innocent lives to fulfill your delusions, but what's to stop you from destroying the planet? You have no right to control other people, and you have no right to kill them either." Goten retorted angrily.
"I did not give you permission to speak, Saiyan Barbarian. It would seem I'll have to silence you myself!
'Damn it. If Trunks was here, I could fuse and win, but I'm on my own this time… I'm sorry everyone… This is it for me…' The Tuffle parasite turns back into a blob and attempts to enter one of the openings on his body, but he's interrupted by a red blast. Which injured him, causing him to reform into his humanoid state.
"I came as fast as I could Dr. Hedo." Gamma 1 said
"All right! It's time for you to be brought to justice!" Dr. Hedo Exclaimed
"Who are you!" Boruchi angrily yelled
"An old fashioned Superhero" Gama 2 replied.
"It doesn't matter who or what you are. Any and all who interfere with my justice will suffer dearly. The Tuffle calmly states."
Boruchi fires multiple blasts from his blaster but Gamma 1 tanks it all. "Is that all? The Android said.
Realizing that this opponent is no slouch, Boruchi goes in for a close-up attack, but he is grabbed by the Android who knees him in the back, karate chops his neck, roundhouse kicks his stomach, grabs his face, and then throws him…
As the two beings fought, Goten watched. He was injured yes, but he could move. Normally, he'd call Trunks, but it seemed like Gamma 1 had the fight in the bag. Goten took this moment to inform Bulma about what just happened.
Boruchi was being pummeled by Gamma 1. After all, Boruchi was maybe a bit stronger than Majin Buu, but this Android was way above that. "Are you done? The android calmly asked."
"No, not quite my dear machine with no free will of its own. I have one more trick up my sleeve. ANDROMEDA, FIRE!"
A massive ship comes from seemingly nowhere and fires a gigantic green beam at Gamma 1. The beam was far more powerful than Boruchi himself, maybe even as strong as Super Vegito when he fought Buu with Gohan absorbed. The mere force of the blast colliding with Gamma 1 destroyed a good portion of the building and sent Goten flying into the machine. Unfortunately for the Saiyan, it was still on. He didn't even get a chance to properly register what had happened. Goten struggled to get up, but before he could stand, he had disappeared. Boruchi was also nowhere to be seen and neither was his ship. He had somehow teleported away along with his ship.
Somewhere in Japan
An object falls from the sky crashing into the sidewalk and causing a massive crater. Luckily nobody was too close to the object, but it did cause some property damage. The object turned out not to be an object at all, but rather a slightly injured boy in an unknown and ripped-apart school uniform. The civilians watched in fright as a boy had just plummeted into the ground at an extremely high speed. Nobody could have survived that. However, this was not the case. Shortly after he lands, the boy gets up slowly.
"Ugh… Where.. am I?" He asks. Causing panic among nearby civilians. "This kid has to be a liminal. No human could survive a fall like that." Said a random voice."
'What's a liminal, Goten thought' as he walked away from the scene ignoring the dumbfounded. He looks around and sees that nothing is familiar. 'I can't sense any familiar ki signature, what happened?' Goten thought… But then it hit him. Dr. Hedo's Dimensional teleporter. He felt himself land on something and the next thing he knew, he was enveloped in a blue light and the next thing he noticed, he was in the sky falling extremely fast. That meant he was in another world. Goten mentally panicked at this revelation.
'I don't have a way back…' The cruel reality set in for Goten as he started to get a little emotional before a police officer came up to him.
"You all right son? You took a hell of a fall."
"Thanks, but I'll manage."
"I'll get you to the hospital, but you'll have to answer some questions later.
"Realizing that he has no other way to heal since he didn't have any Senzu beans on him, he agreed. That's fine with me, I guess.
Goten agreed to go with the man knowing this would be the first step to understanding the world he now lives in for the time being.
Authors note: So, this is going to be a big story for me, but I think I'll focus on my other story for now just to get the experience I'm currently lacking. I'll come back every now and then, but I will warn you that this won't be updated as frequently as my other story. That said, unlike my DDLC Story, it will have some serious fights and more action, but it will still be mostly a slice-of-life kind of story. Thank you, that's all.
