Daily life with a Saiyan Teen.

Chapter 2: The Shonen Protagonist

"So, this is your new school Goten. What do you think?" Kimihito asked.

"Seems normal for a school. I mean other than the non-human students here of course. If I'm being honest, that's kind of a relief."

"Huh, why is that?"

"Well, I'm not exactly the most normal person out there. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't worried about being treated like a freak or anything like that, but there were things about myself that I always needed to hide or else it would cause a big scene. Now, nobody would bat an eye if anything unusual happened around me anymore." Goten said thinking people would simply assume he's just a liminal taking a human form.

Kimihito thought back to when Ms. Smith told him about how Goten not only survived a fall from the sky at high speeds, but he still thought that there might have been a mistake. After all, Goten never did anything around him that would indicate that he wasn't a human. "Well, in any case, I'm glad you don't hold any prejudice against liminals."

"Of course, I don't, why would I? Aren't liminal just foreigners from different cultures? I mean sure they're usually different species, but that's not a reason to hate them. I mean, I'm technically a liminal too so that's another reason not to hate them." Goten reasoned.

Kimihito smiled. He understood Goten wasn't a judgmental young man. Sure, he did yell at the girls the other day, but it wasn't out of malice, but rather because their arguing made it hard for him to sleep and even then, he apologized. He was curious about what he meant by doing unusual things, but he wasn't going to pry. Goten would tell him if he ever felt ready and if he never did, he'd be okay with that too. "I wish everyone shared that sentiment…" Kimihito whispered to himself. "Well, I'll be going back to the house. If you need anything, give me a call, okay?"

"Alright! Good luck!" Goten said as Kimihito started walking back home. Goten has a new phone now because Ms. Smith figured that his last phone wouldn't be effective in this world, so she got him a new phone to communicate with his host

As Goten walked towards the school, he noticed many things. Harpies were flying around, demi-humans were racing, and some students had spider legs, but the main thing he noticed was those humans and non-humans, for the most part, were not hanging out with each other. Liminals hung out with other liminals, and humans with humans. 'For such a diverse school, people really seem to enjoy their own company more than anything.' Goten thought. He would eventually reach his homeroom. When he walked into his classroom, all eyes were on him, and the teacher approached him.

The teacher was a Kitsune with long teal hair and a mature build. "Ah, Son Goten, I've been expecting you. She then makes an announcement to her class. "Class, this is our new student, Son Goten who is transferring here from overseas. Make sure he feels welcome. Goten, why don't you introduce yourself to the class? Said Ms. Kyubi.

Goten nodded and proceeded to stand in front of the class. "Hi, my name is Son Goten. I hope we get along." He said casually. He didn't get too much of a reaction from the class. Maybe a girl or two thought he was cute, but outside of that, he didn't seem like anything special. Even back in his world, Goten was sort of a lowkey kind of person. He wasn't popular with the ladies, he wasn't involved in sports, and he hung out with a select few people.

"Now, Goten who would you like to sit with?"

A guy with spiky orange hair called out to him.

"Sit next to me!" He gestured to the seat next to him.

"All right, why not?" Goten said as he walked over to his new seat."

"Ah, so you're the new transfer student. I gotta say, Goten is kind of an unusual name but I don't judge. Names Asashi Hoshizawa." He put his hand out for Goten to shake.

"Nice to meet you. I hope we can get along." Goten shook the hand.

"Likewise. So, what brought you over to Japan?" he asked.

"You wouldn't believe the full story, but I'll just say I was brought here by someone and now I need to go to school here too."

"Aw come on, I'm sure it's not that unbelievable." Said Asashi.

"I was attacked by an alien parasite, and I ended up here," Goten said. He wasn't the type of person to just reveal everything about himself for no reason, but considering Asashi had just asked him, he had no reason to hide that. Of course, he didn't expect him to believe him either.

"Hahaha, you have one heck of an imagination. I like you already Goten. I have one last question: Do you work out?"

"Hmm, well sure, sometimes," Goten answered.

"Perfect! I have a proposal to make! Goten, please be my gym partner!" He said overdramatically gaining the attention of all classmates."

"Um, why me exactly?" Goten questioned.

"Everyone else has a gym partner or avoids me as soon as I ask. I have nobody to train with! Besides, I can see a fire in your eyes! The kind of fire that says I can take on the world and everything it throws at me with a smile!"

"Uh… Thanks… I think?"

"Well, how about it? He gets out of his desk and gets down on his knees and grabs Goten's hand. "Goten, will you be my gym partner?

"Dude, don't say it like that, people are going to get the wrong idea!" Goten exclaimed not wanting people to think he was proposing to him.

"Is that a no? I understand if you don't wa-"

"I'll do it."

"What?"

"I said I'll be your gym partner."

"Wait really?

"Yes, really. I can use some training myself anyway." Goten said. Though he knew any training the school offered him wouldn't do much to really increase his strength, he'd be able to at least get some exercise.

Great!"

"Class is now in session" Ms. Kyubi announced.

"We'll talk more about this later!" Said Asashi he said quietly.

"Okay," Goten said. 'He's an odd guy, but he has spirit. I'll give him that.' Goten thought.

The rest of the day was pretty much what you'd expect from a day at school. Goten of course didn't know a thing about Japanese history, but he was good with most other subjects. Unlike Gohan, he wasn't the smartest kid in the class, but he was still pretty smart, so he got through. Eventually gym class would start, and the activity was dodgeball, and Asashi and Goten were on the same team. Asashi was a somewhat popular student, but he was a bit extreme. That said, he was inspiring when the time came.

"All right, team! I want to see you use every last drop of sweat and blood in your throws! Give them your all!" Yelled Asashi.

"YEAH!" Both human and liminal students were hyped, and the match of dodgeball began. Of course, the ball was made foam since some liminal were significantly stronger or significantly weaker than average humans to the point where using a ball that wasn't soft enough could be a risk to students' lives.

The rules of this dodge ball went as follows:

Rule 1: Headshots = safe

Rule 2: Catching the ball regardless of what appendage is safe.

Rule 3: No using abilities that would cause a danger to students.

Rule 4: Abilities unique to your species are allowed provided they don't make the game too unfair.

Rule 5: Both sides have an equal amount of liminals and humans to even out the playing field.

The game of dodgeball was a warzone. Balls flew like bullets and humans and liminals alike were giving it their all. Of course, humans for the most part were overwhelmed but some of them were able to hold their own. On Goten's team, a Siren started to sing, alluring the male students, human and liminal alike to try and get closer and she would lightly throw the ball at them getting them out.

"Yes, my darlings. Embrace your end." She said with an evil grin.

Before she could get them all out, she was hit by a ball at high speed knocking her over. The girl who did this was a dragon girl on the opposing side of Goten and Asashi.

"Sorry Melody, but you were wide open!" She said confidently."

After getting the Siren named Melody out, she began catching every ball thrown at her with both her hands and her tail and was throwing the ball so fast that it sent even more students flying. Even some of the liminals were no match for her power. Of course, her team wasn't the only one with powerful liminals. On Goten and Asashi's team, an Orc managed to catch her ball.

"Haha! Let's see how you like this!" The orc let out a dramatic yell as he threw the ball at full strength at the dragon girl. She was fast enough to dodge it, but behind her was a Minotaur girl and the ball bounced right off her abs, hitting the dragon girl in the back and getting them both out.

"HELL YEAH! TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!" He said in a happy mood.

"Aw, it looks like you got me out! That's too bad." Said the Dragon Girl.

This angered a few of the students.

"How dare you get our class rep out!"

"Yeah! You'll pay for what you did to our goddess!"

"Wait, I don't want to be treated any differently than anyone else."

"Yeah, you heard the lady! If you have a problem with that, then you can join her! Said the Orc.

A Kraken girl was carrying a ball in each one of her arms allowing her to deflect anything that was thrown. She wore a wicked smile as she pelted the orc with multiple balls.

"Hey, that was a cheap shot, and you know it!"

"You snooze you lose. "said the Kraken smugly.

The orc grumbled as he walked out of the court.

She then proceeded to get many students on the other team out with the use of her extra appendages. Though some of the liminal students were able to defend against her throws, many of them all got out. One of the more timid human boys was about to be hit by a ball that was thrown at him by the Kraken girl, but then Asashi got in the way and caught the ball which pushed him back and knocked him and the student behind him on the ground.

"Thanks!" Said the timid human student

"Anytime man! Now let's show them who's boss!" Said Asashi

"YEAH!" replied the student.

"You hear that, Kyra? You may strike us down, but we will always rise back up to return the force 100-fold! Now have a taste of my METEOR THROW!" Asashi threw the ball so fast it looked like it disappeared. This pushed Kyra back a little.

"My my, what determination. Sadly, that's not enough." She then picks up 8 balls and prepares to throw them all at Asashi.

"Even if you end me, someone will defeat you in my place! Comrades, I'm sorry, but there's a good chance I might fall here but even then, I know you have what it takes to win this war!"

"Wow, talk about dramatic." Says Kyra the Kraken before throwing all 8 balls at Asashi. He catches one ball, but before the other balls connect with him, Goten quickly grabs two of the balls and bounces the other 5 away from both him and Asashi.

Asashi looked at Goten with surprise. He had one thought. 'He's the chosen one!"

"Thanks for the save

Kyra smiles at this. "Not bad, what is your name?"

"The names Son Goten. I take it your name is Kyra?"

"Well, Son it's been nice knowing you…"

Goten notices she's just standing there but then he looks to her side and sees a wolfman from earlier charging up a throw.

"Goten, look out! She's aiming right for you! Werewolves are too strong for you there's no way you can take this!" Yelled Asashi as he ran to try to intercept. However, it was too late. The ball was already heading straight for Goten's head and speeds reminiscent of a bullet. However, instead of contact with his head, the ball was caught by Goten's left hand."

"Was this yours?" Goten said before throwing the ball back at the werewolf. He caught the ball, but he was sent back into the mat at the back of the Gym and the ball spun out of his hands which got him out.

"HOW?! I WAS BESTED BY A FILTHY HUMAN?! The werewolf gets up and angrily goes back to the stands.

Now each side only had 4 people. On Goten's side there was Goten, Asashi, that guy that Asashi saved, and an Arachne. On the opposing side, there were Kyra, two humans, and a raptor harpy named Dina.

"Alright, Goten let's do this!" Said Asashi.

"Alright!" Goten replied.

Little did they know, some of the balls were disappearing, but nobody noticed.

"Hm, this isn't going to be easy. Dina, if we can get him out then we can win. Let's go for him."

"I'll get him on my own! Don't interfere! He's mine!" Exclaimed the Raptor Harpy.

You would think that not having hands would make playing dodgeball impossible, but Dina was a sneaky player. Sure, flying around would draw attention, but they couldn't pay attention to her for too long or else they would have been hit by another player on her team. That was when she would strike and throw the ball at the players on the other team. Her current target was Goten. Being airborne, she was natural good at avoiding balls, but unfortunately for her, that wasn't enough against the other team.

She threw the ball right at Goten, but almost immediately after throwing the ball, Komi the Arachne threw a ball at her from the wall. See, the reason why some of the balls were disappearing was that Komi had used her webs to tie the balls up on the ceiling near the wall while Dina was too busy sneak-attacking people to notice.

"I did it!" She smiled happily."

"Damn it! You sneaky little twerp. I'll get you back for this!" Dina said as she went to the stands.

Goten continued to dodge all the balls from Kyra as if he had Ultra instinct, and as he dodged, he was thinking of how to approach getting her out. Of course, he could throw the ball so fast she wouldn't be able to catch it, but he didn't want to hurt her, and he'd get in huge trouble if he did. The thing about the humans on Kyra's team is that they weren't exactly slouches either. One of them was a hulking boy who was so ridiculously big and buff that he was often mistaken as an Ogre and the other one was known to be the best point guard on the basketball team and a skilled gymnast. As Goten went against Kyra, Asashi went against the behemoth of a man, Idachi.

"My goal to become the strongest starts with beating you!" Asashi points at Idachi. NOW COME AT ME WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SO WE CAN HAVE THE MATCH OF A CENTURY!"

"Dramatic as ever." Both Goten and Kyra commented.

"Haha, I like your style! All right! Let's see what you're made of!" Said Idachi. He then reeled his hand back before letting out a manly yell. Asashi prepared himself, but his leg was still hurt from protecting the other human that wasn't Goten. Before the he could be hit by the ball, the guy he saved early took the hit.

"He's dramatic too." Said both Kyra and Goten.

"Heh, don't look at me like that. The team needs you more than a nobody like me. The boy on the ground tilts his head to the side as blood comes out of his mouth. Sora, NO! I SWEAR I WILL AVENGE YOU! …IDACHI! YOU'RE GONNA PAY!"

"YES, SHOW ME THAT FIRE IN YOUR SOUL!" Idachi egged him on.

The two humans threw the foam balls back in forth and each throw caused the other to be pushed back. It was an intense battle, but Asashi came out on top.

"I-I Did its Sora! And then Asashi fell to the ground unconscious."

"Asashi! Goten yelled.

"You should worry more about yourself!" Kyra said.

He was swiftly dragged out of the room to the nurses' office leaving only Goten and Komi. It was now a 2v2 battle. Each side with a human and a liminal granted one of those humans is actually half alien but people don't need to know that now. Komi was using webs to guard herself on the ceiling, but the human on Kyra's side came up with an idea to lure out Komi. Bribing…

"HEY KOMI! I'LL BUY YOU A COFFEE IF YOU COME DOWN HERE!"

"Really? You better not be lying or I'm going to be really mad! I'm putting this game on the line for this, so you better pay up!" Komi went down fully expecting to be pelted with a ball, but it was a risk she was willing to take.

When she made her way down she was prepared for the worse. Her body was a big target, so she was pretty much screwed. She immediately picked up a ball and threw it at him and he dodged.

"A valiant effort, but an effort in vain. You've done well Komi!"

"I wouldn't celebrate too early if I were you, Kosuke!"

Komi does a yanking motion and suddenly the ball that Kosuke dodged hit him in the back which got him out.

"ARGH… Well played Komi… I'll buy you a coffee as I promised..."

"Thank you so much! Tehehe!" She giggled.

It was now a 2v1 battle but this time around, it was in Goten's favor. Goten was still battling Kyra and suddenly, a ball flew at Kyra that wasn't from Goten.

"Oh, so you finally showed your face Komi!"

"You know me, I always take the cautious route."

"That won't work this time!"

"Hehe, that's what you always say." Said Komi

"Do you two have a rivalry or something?" Goten asked.

"Yes, I guess you can use the word rival to explain our relationship." Said Kyra

"Yeah! I'll prove to her once and for all that 8 legs are better than 10!"

"Wait, is that what this is about?" Goten questioned.

"IN YOUR DREAMS YOU WANNABE CRAB! YOU KNOW, OCTOPI DINE ON CRAB AND KRAKENS ARE NO DIFFERENT!"

"Hey, I'm not a crab! You take that back!"

"Make me!"

The two monster girls start having an all-out battle. Komi runs on walls and uses her spinneret to hit Kyra with the ball, and Kyra uses her ink on the balls to make the surfaces where Komi can walk slippery, so she'll fall. Goten throws a ball at Kyra, but she catches it with her many tentacles.

"You know? You have been a pain in the ass for a while now! I don't care about the law; I'm going to use my full strength in this next set of throws!"

"She throws 8 balls at Goten while also keeping an eye on Komi. Goten manages to dodge all the balls except for the last one which bounces off his ankle.

At this, Kyra smirked. "You fought well, but it's over now."

Goten immediately dove for the ground and grabbed the ball inches before it hit the floor, did a 180 spin, and threw the ball at Kyra which effectively got her out.

"W-What were those reflexes?" Kyra was surprised as she had not expected to be bested by a human of all people. Humans tend to be much weaker, slower and generally have less advantages than liminals. Of course, this wasn't the case all the time. A fairy would have to rely on magic since they wouldn't be very strong physically.

"I just trained."Goten deadpanned.

The Kraken turned to the Arachne. "This isn't over between us." Kyra said before walking away or…. Whatever you call the movement of an octopus.

"YOU DID IT! The team congratulated Goten as he won the game. Of course, it was a team effort, and Komi and Asashi helped too. Speaking of Asashi, Goten needed to check on him. He asked the Gym teacher who looked as if he couldn't care any less about his job if he can go to the office to check on Asashi.

"Sorry to cut this short, but I gotta go somewhere. I'll be back!

"All right new kid! You rock!" A random student said.

And so, Goten came to the nurses' office to check on Asashi.

"Oh, hey Goten, I didn't expect to see you here."

"Are you okay? Your kind of just passed out during our dodgeball session."

"I'm fine, I guess I was just feeling a little sick. Oh, speaking of dodgeball, did we win?"

"Dude, it's not wrong to take a break every now and then. If you were sick, why didn't you stay home or not participate."

"It's in my blood! I can't just compete! I can't live without competition!"

"But if you overwork yourself, you'll be unable to not compete for an even longer amount of time and in some cases, possibly never. I don't think you'd want that. Think of the long run of things."

Asashi sighed. "…Yeah, you're right." He said sadly.

"If it helps, we did win."

"Haha, I knew you had it in you buddy! You showed them what humans are really made of!"

"Actually, I had a little help from a spider girl. They had a crazy battle and I had front-row seats. I wish I could see it again. It was like watching a movie!"

"Oh, so you got help from a demi-human …" he said disappointedly.

"And what's wrong with that? Goten asked. He had hoped that his new friend wasn't a bigot, but he didn't look happy about the news that he was helped by a liminal."

"Oh, nothing's really wrong with it per se. It's just I kind of wish it was you alone who did it."

"Why? Wouldn't you like to do that yourself?"

"Well yeah, but I want to prove that humans are just as great as liminals. You've seen it and I've definitely seen it! They tend to be naturally stronger, faster, and better than humans at most things and some of them see us as nothing but weak garbage to walk over because of it. I'm sick of it and I want to make a change. I want to prove that even a human can be as strong if not stronger than even the most powerful of demi-humans."

"That's an interesting goal, but what do you want to do with that strength?"

"Isn't that obvious? I want to protect people that need help. There are a lot of bad people out there, both humans and non-humans alike. However, the law states that they can't harm each other, but that gives criminals free rein to hurt people. Part of the reason I want to become so strong is because I want people to look at me and think 'Wow, I can be that strong too! I'm not completely helpless against people who would take advantage of the law'. That kind of thing."

"Oh, if that's the reason then I'll give you all my support!"
"Really! Thank you so much, Goten!"

"Hey, it's what friends are for. Besides, you remind me of my dad. Y'know, he lives, breathes, and eats martial arts, training, fighting, and all that jazz. You'd probably get along and he'd maybe even taught you a few things."

"Haha, your dad sounds like a cool guy. I hope I can meet him someday.

The bell rang.

"Well, I gotta go. I'll be late for my next class otherwise," said Goten.

"Right. I gotta go to my next class too. I feel better now." The rest of the day was normal. Goten sat with Asashi at lunch, and he got a lot of attention from students who were there to witness the epic game of dodgeball."

"How did you move so fast, how are you so good at dodgeball, do you have a girlfriend?" These are the questions that Goten Got from people.

"Well to answer the first two questions, I trained my body since I was a little kid and to answer that last question, no, I don't have a girlfriend."

The dragon girl from earlier suddenly approached Goten. She had blue hair in the shape of a spikey ponytail. Hello, so you must be the new student? You seem like a very upstanding person. What you did in that game of dodgeball was very impressive! Sorry, but what was your name again?

"I'm Goten!"

"My name is Draconis. I'm your class representative. Nice to officially meet you. I've been meaning to talk to you for a while now, but things were getting in my way. As a class representative, I should have greeted you sooner."

"Ah don't sweat it. We're talking now, aren't we? That's good enough for me." Said Goten.

"I guess we are. Well in any case, I'm looking forward to seeing more of you in the future." She smiled before walking back to her table.

"Wow, she usually doesn't approach people like that. How does it feel to be Mr. Popular?" Asashi teased.

"Ah, it will blow over in like a day or so," Goten said.

"Famous last words," Asashi replied.

"Yo Goten, you should tots join the track team! We can use someone like you!" Said a human girl.

"Ah, thanks for the offer but I'll pass."

"Someone as quick on their feet as you would do good at basketball. Come on Join us!" Said Kosuke

"Sorry, but I'll pass on that too." It wasn't as if Goten was against the idea of getting involved in a school activity, but he didn't want to do something that he didn't have to try in. If he was on the basketball team or the track team, he'd have to hold back and that would diminish the fun, and if he tried, it would be unfair. The mental image of himself grabbing a ball and literally flying to the hoop came to existence. 'Wait, now do I think abot it,

"Aww, that's too bad. Still, we should hang out sometime." Said Kosuke.

"I'd be down for that, Goten replied."

There was crowd around Goten since everyone wanted to see what the new kid was like. Lunch would end soon and classes would start up again.

Time would pass and the end of the school day was nearing. Goten was in his final class of the day but nature was calling so he asked the teacher if he could go to the men's room. Luckily, he was allowed to go, so he walked out the door. On his way to the restroom, he saw something he didn't like. Bullying.

"Please stop! I promise I won't tell, just stop!" A first-year brown-haired student was cornered against a wall on the stairs. To the next floor. He was beaten and bruised so one could infer what happened."

"You think you're hot shit because you have a brother to defend you? Well, where is he now, little piglet? Let me make myself clear. Nobody talks to my girlfriend especially not a lowly human like you! If you try to snitch to the authorities, you won't like what happens next. Besides, I can just have some random human to take the blame and I'll get off scot-free." Said the werewolf from earlier.

He lifted his fist to punch the freshman, but his fist was blocked by a hand that seemingly came out of nowhere. Neither the freshman nor the wolf kid in his class even heard him go up the stairs.

"That's enough! Pick on someone your own size!"

"Oh? Another body to add to the count? You dug your own grave kid… Wait a minute! You're that guy from the dodgeball game! You know, I'm glad you showed your ugly mug because now… I CAN FINALLY TEAR YOU TO SHREDS FOR THAT HUMILIATION!" He tries to pull back his hand but to his surprise, he can't get it out of Goten's grip.

"I'm giving you a chance to walk away. Are you going to take it?" Goten says as the werewolf struggles to get his fist out of Goten's grip.

Fine… You aren't worth my time anyway… The werewolf walks away.

Goten turns to the injured boy. Are you okay?

"Wait watch out!" The boy screamed in an attempt to warn Goten about the werewolf charging at him at full speed with his palm open. He attempts to slash Goten's neck with his claws, but instead of the human's skin being broken, it was his claws that broke causing him pain. Wolf claws functioned like nails, so they'd grow back, but this was a major blow to the wolves' pride.

Goten simply gave him a disappointed look.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY CLAWS YOU FREAK OF NATURE?! …This isn't over…" He says grimly before walking away.

"Goten quickly gives some of his ki to the boy which doesn't heal him, but he definitely felt energized despite his injuries and he didn't feel as much pain as he did before. He noticed a glow emitting from his body but the boy didn't realize it was Goten that was causing it."

"Anyway, back to what I was saying. Are you okay?"

"I should be asking you that! Even if he broke his claws on your neck, you should at least have a scratch!"

"No, I'm fine. See?" Goten turns his back to the boy showing his neck. "Not a scratch on me! Anyway, are you okay?"

"I'm still a little hurt, but somehow, I feel a lot better already!"

"All right, that's all I needed to hear!" Goten says before walking away to go to the restroom.

"Wait! What's your name?!"

"Oh me? My name is Son Goten. It's nice to meet you." He said giving him the signature Son smile.

"I-I'm Mizuki." Said the small brown-haired freshman.

"All right! Well, I really gotta go to the bathroom, so I hope to see you another time." Goten said before leaving.

Shortly after Goten got back from using the restroom, and returned to his class. After school was over, Goten made his way to the door to leave the school but he was approached by Asashi who came bolting at him.

"GOOOOOOOTEN!"

"Oh hey, Asashi, what brings you here?"

"MY LITTLE BROTHER TOLD ME WHAT YOU DID FOR HIM!"

"Little… Brother?" Goten was confused for a moment but then he put two and two together. "Oh, you're talking about Mizuki! I saw a wolf guy giving him a hard time and I interfered."

"You idiot! You know humans aren't allowed to harm liminals! You could be arrested for this!"

"Relax, I didn't attack him. All I did was block his punch."

"Oh, okay. I guess that's fine. I like you a lot Goten, and I don't want to lose you as soon as I met you. That said…" Asashi then gets on his knees and bows before Goten. "How can I ever repay you!"

Goten chuckled at this. Haha, always so dramatic. Calm down Asashi, I don't need anything. Just being friends with you is enough.

"Nonsense! I must repay you at once! Oh, and one more thing. From this day forward… YOU. ARE. MY. RIVAL!"

"What." Goten deadpanned.

"You heard me! My brother told me about how his bully broke the claws on your neck. He made it out like you beat the snot out of the guy, so you can understand why I was concerned. I hate the laws too, but there's nothing I can do if you get caught breaking them. I understand now that you didn't fight back but with that said, you still demonstrated that you were stronger than him and that means you're that special someone I need to surpass!

"That's cool I guess?" Goten could be competitive, but he wasn't like that to everyone. He was competitive towards Trunks sometimes but they were more so friends than rivals. He enjoyed fighting and training but he wasn't trying to become the strongest like his father or Trunks' father.

Y'know, I usually have to step in to protect my brother. I'm not nearly anywhere near strong enough to beat someone like that werewolf Spike. I usually try to fight him for my brothers' sake but I ended up getting beat up too. Ever since we were kids, it was always up to me to protect my brother. Humans weren't an issue for the most part but then the Cultural Exchange Bill happened. Despite the law, people would find ways around it and the next thing I knew, there were people I couldn't beat in a fight... People who I couldn't protect m brother against.

"Wait, you just got on my case for allegedly beating up a demi-human!"

"Yeah, but getting arrested is a small price to pay to keep my brother safe. Besides, not many people would want to have to mention their involvement in the fight given the law. It all happens in private.

"Okay fair, but wouldn't that make your brother an open target if you're not there to protect him?

"What do you suggest? Just stand there while my brother is beaten to a bloody pulp?!"

"What? Of course not! I was going to suggest training to get stronger."

"What do you think I've been doing?! Listen Goten, it's my goal to prove that even a human can be as strong if not stronger than the toughest of demi-humans, but something like that won't just happen overnight!"

"Of course, I don't expect it to. But don't underestimate your own potential. Have a little faith in your species. I know humans who are far stronger than anyone at the school and yes, that includes the demi-humans.

"What? No way… You're pulling my leg, aren't you?"

"No, not at all. I am dead serious about this. Let's meet up somewhere private tomorrow and I can show you what a human can do. Just promise me a few things. 1. Don't tell anyone I showed you what I'm going to show you, and 2. Don't speak a word about this."

"I can live with that, but what's a good time?"

"Maybe 5:30? I don't think I have anything on my schedule. But that leaves one problem. Where are we going to do this?"

"I know a forest that should be free from any peering eyes."

"That's perfect! Well, I need to be home. My guardian is expecting me soon, so bye!"

"Bye Goten!" Said Asashi.

And with that, Goten walked home. On his way home, Goten went out of his way to help people out. He helped elderly women cross the street, he helped a little girl get her ball which was stuck in a tree by shooting a weak eye blast and catching it when it fell, and he lent some change to a homeless man. Despite these tasks, he didn't come home late as he simply flew back without being noticed somehow. When entered through the door he was greeted by Papi.

"Goten's home! Yay!" She said excitedly.

Papi flew up to Goten and he lifted her and spun her around like a father would do for their daughter.

"Hey Papi," Goten replied with a smile.

Greetings, Young Squire said Centorea.

Miia was taking a nap on the Sofa with her long body covering most of it.

"Oh, Goten, you're back. How was your first day of school." The older male in the house asked who was currently cleaning.

"It was nice. I made some friends and if it's okay with you, I want to hang out with one of them after school."

Kimihito smiled. That's perfectly fine! I'm glad things are working out for you. I mean it isn't always easy to make new friends especially if you aren't from around the area."

"Yeah, I didn't really expect to meet so many new people today. Oh, do you need help with that?" He noticed Kimihito was setting up plates.

"Oh sure, if it's not too much."

"Of course, it's not. It's part of the main reason I'm here after all!" Goten immediately assists Kimihito in setting up the dining table. He did it quickly and efficiently. They were quickly finished since the work of two people is better than one, and Kimihito started to make dinner since Goten got there early due to flying and somehow avoided not being detected. He wasn't even trying to hide the fact that he could fly.

As the food was cooking, Goten joined the others on the sofa and to watch TV. On TV they were watching the news. It turned out there was a case of trafficking demi-humans. The culprits were caught but somehow, they managed to escape. Luckily, the liminals have been returned to their families.

"It gives me great pain that these miscreants continue to carry on with their foul activities, but it brings me great joy that they failed in their mission." Said Centorea.

"Wait, this is a common occurrence?" Goten asked

"Unfortunately, yes…" Centorea replied grimly.

"Why do they do this?! Can't they see the pain they're causing?!"

Miia chimed in as she had just finished napping. "It really depends. Sometimes they kidnap them for resources that come from their bodies, and other times it's for sexual pleasure… It's despicable." Miia spat. She was aware that her culture did kidnap men for sex but it was out of a means for survival and even she grew to dislike that part of her culture upon falling in love with Kimihito. These traffickers however sold demi-humans for parts of their bodies and sex for nothing more than sick pleasure and enjoyed the pain they were causing. There was no necessity, they simply did it for their own selfish desires.

At this Goten's blood started to boil. Everyone in the house could feel physically feel the pressure surrounding Goten. "They need to be brought to justice! Every single one of them!"
"Goten, please don't be so upset. They're back with their families, so everythings okay right?" Papi said trying to get Goten to calm down.

This did little to ease his anger as plates started to shake.

"Goten, I understand your anger, but you need to calm down!" Centorea sternly said.

Realizing that objects were starting the shake, he calmed down a bit and let out a sigh. "You're right Centorea… I'm sorry."

"It's fine as long as you understand. Still, I'm glad that you can be so angry on behalf of others. You have a good heart."

"Especially since they aren't the same species as you, Miia added."

"Why would it matter if they're human or not? People are people, and wrong is wrong!"

"If only everyone had your perspective," Miia replied

Goten thought of the werewolf that was bullying Mizuki. "I take it there's a lot of bad blood between humans and liminals huh?" Goten said frowning.

"Sadly, that's just the way things are, but It's not all bad! There are humans like you and darling who accept everyone with open arms and there are non-humans who aren't trying to cause trouble for everyone." Miia assured Goten.

"Yeah, I believe that. It's just… There needs to be an end to the cycle where the strong trample over the weak. I hope someone can change that." Goten replied.

Kimihito intervened. Hey Goten, I made dinner for you and everyone. Maybe that will cheer you up.

Goten's eyes turned into stars at the mention of food. "Then what are we waiting for, let's eat!"

This was now the second time they ate dinner together, and they were as lively as ever. Miia decided to strike up a conversation with Goten. "So, Goten, have you ever been in love," Miia asked.

Goten thought back to his world. He's never really been in a relationship, nor has he been in love. He's always been the guy to help someone with love rather than be the one involved in the relationship. He was supportive towards his friend Trunks even though his crush on Mai was one-sided and even though he knew Trunks had eyes for Mai, he helped out Flier, a girl in his class who liked his best friend spy on Mai so she could find out how to get Trunks to fall for her instead. Goten was just a helpful guy by nature.

"Well, no, I've never been in love or in any kind of romantic relationship. I've always been content with just being friends with girls. Back home, I would help people out with love problems, but I never really tried to find love for myself. To be honest, I'd like to have a girlfriend at some point, but I'm not sure if now would be a good time to look for love because of my circumstances. Even if I fall in love with someone in this world, there's a chance I'll be sent back to my own world, so I'd try to avoid that for now. I want to go back more than anything right now, but I don't know when I'll be able to." Goten said with complete faith that his friends and family would find a way to bring him back. After all it was Hedo's machine that brought him to this world so surely they can find a way to pinpoint his location especially if Bulma helps out. Even if they can't, they could use the Dragon Balls, right?

Little did Goten know that the dragon balls had already been used for Piccolo and Bulma's… backside so he'd at least be stuck here for a year if they couldn't find him. Additionally, there was a good chance that those dragon balls wouldn't work since Shenron has always been limited, and bringing Goten back from another multiverse was likely not within Shenrons' power. The omnipotent Super Shenron could 100% bring him back but getting a wish from the Super Dragon Balls takes time even for a God of Destruction like Champa. Even if his dad managed to get all Super Dragon Balls, he wouldn't be able to use them since he doesn't speak the language. He'd have to find someone who can, so no matter what, Goten was likely going to be stuck here for a while.

"Goten… I'm sorry about your situation, I don't know what it's like to be forcibly separated from everything you hold dear but I do know what it's like to be in love so I will give you some advice. It doesn't matter if the girl you like is from this world or your world, if you like a girl, don't wait for her to be swept off her feet by another guy! Don't give up on her no matter what! Whoever the lucky lady is, I will support you!"

"Awwwww, thanks Miia. And for what it's worth, this world isn't so bad." Goten was touched by her concern for him.

"Miia's right Goten. You said it yourself too. You don't know when you'll go back, but you should try to be happy even if it's not a romantic relationship. Making good friends will be good for you too. Believe me when I say it can be miserable being alone. Being with these girls made me realize this." Kimihito added.

"The girls all blushed after hearing this."

"Awww darling, you're such a smooth talker." Said a flushed Miia.

"So, Goten, tell me about your friends at school." Centorea asked.

"Well, my first friend was a human named Asashi Hoshizawa. He's a bit eccentric, but he's a nice guy. There was also his brother. I don't know much about him, but I saw him being hurt by a wolf guy so I stopped him."

Centorea got serious for a moment. "Goten, what you did was brave, but I hope for your sake you didn't attack him. You are aware that Cultural Exchange Bill prevents you from hurting demi-humans right?"

"It shouldn't matter if he doesn't get caught right? Besides he was trying to protect someone." Miia reasoned.

"I have no doubt that he had moral intentions, but unfortunately the law is the law."

"Guys, I didn't attack him. All I did was block his punch. The worst thing that happened to him was breaking his claws when he tried to attack me from behind." He said leaving out the fact that he broke his claws on his neck. Everyone at the table would assume that he missed Goten and hit his claws on something hard. Little did they know that hard thing was Gotens neck.

"Such a cowardly foe" Centorea said silently in response to the werewolf attacking Goten from behind. Goten, it's good that you held restraint, but for future reference, you should keep it that way.

Goten nodded thinking of the law. 'Still, someone needs to do something about people who take advantage of that law. I don't have my Saiyaman X Watch so getting involved could be difficult. Going Super Saiyan will only work for so long. Someone could eventually put two and two together.' Goten thought. He looked around at everyone and smiled. 'They're concerned for me even though they've known me for a day and a half. They're all so nice'. Of course they had their own thoughts about our young Saiyan.

Papi simply thought of him as a playmate and someone to have fun with. She of course liked him as a person, but that's all there was to it. He also wasn't very good at the game they were playing, but he got better as time progressed.

When Miia first saw Goten, she was expecting a cute female assistant who would try to seduce her darling. She was surprised to see that instead of a voluptuous woman, it was a teenage boy who looked like he could be anywhere from age 14 to 16. What surprised her, even more, was that instead of looking at her with disgust or fear, he looked at her with amazement. She didn't know what to think of this at first since she never thought she'd hear someone describe her tail as 'cool'. Back home, obviously having a snake tail was normal but ever since she got to Japan, she's been looked at with disgust, fear, or as if she were an animal in a zoo. Goten didn't do anything like that, he simply addressed her as a person and complimented her tail. In fact: He didn't even care that any of them were different from him and just a few minutes ago, she had just witnessed him become so enraged at demi-humans being kidnapped for less than savory reasons that the room started to shake. Last night when he wasn't hurt in the slightest by her squeezing him was suspicious, but today solidified that suspicion. Goten wasn't a normal boy. He was a good person, but he wasn't normal. Miia however didn't care about that and liked him as a person regardless of that fact.

Centorea was also somewhat expecting her Master to get a female assistant, but as time would tell, that's not what happened. The boy who walked in talked to her like one would address anyone who they had just met. He had an air of kindness and he was more than happy to play games with Papi without any hesitation whatsoever so she knew he wasn't the prejudiced type of person. Up until recently, she hadn't even seen him get truly angry. Last night when he yelled at them, it was only because they were arguing over her Master' affection and dragging him into it while he was trying to sleep. A few minutes ago, however, she could tell that was genuine anger. One does not fake getting so angry to the point that they literally cause dishes to shake. Like Miia, she knew he wasn't exactly normal at this point. She was unsure if he was a human or something else entirely. On one hand, he clearly showed feats that no human should be able to. On the other hand, he acted exactly like a human would despite apparently coming from another world. For all she knew, humans in his world could be completely different from the ones in her world. Whether or not he was human, he's shown that he also wants to defend her Master and that made him a brother in arms. She had given him the nickname young Squire because to her, his behavior seemed befitting of a knight.

Finally, Kimihito didn't know what to expect from his newest homestay after getting that call from Ms. Smith. All he knew was that he was human, and he was to be his helper. Kimihito was nervous about this since he didn't know how he'd react to the girls, but he'd later find out that his concerns were misplaced as Goten had a positive reaction to them. He was earnest about helping him too which relieved him of a lot of unnecessary stress. Ms. Smith was often a pain in his side, but having Goten come here to help him out was one of the best things she's done as of recently. He had witnessed Goten get angry and felt a lot of pressure coming from him after finding out about liminal traffickers. Fortunately everyone was freed, but the situation was still terrible. As dense as he was, he was starting to see what Ms. Smith and Goten meant by him not being a normal human. Still, his presence was much appreciated.

Eventually dinner would end and at some point Goten decided to take a shower. As he did so, he noticed something drip from the ceiling. It was like someone dumped a bag of water through the ceiling somehow. Goten looked down to investigated… but then…

"AH!" Goten yelled in surprised as a blob of water jumped at him and enveloped his head. Saiyans weren't immune to drowning, but he could easily get out of this mass of water that was now covering his head and that's exactly what he did."

"What was that!" Goten exclaimed as he ran out the shower.

He was then immediately grabbed by liquid tentacles, and he got a good view of his 'attacker'. It was a blob with green eyes and a green antenna to go with it. Goten didn't know what to think, but before he could do anything, the worst happened. Centorea had walked in.

"What's the matter young Squi- What are you doing to him!? Centorea had showed up with a prop sword.

"Oh… Hey Centorea… Goten said blushing. As mentioned before, Goten wasn't embarrassed easily by talks about lude things, but he wasn't without shame. Being seen upside down with his junk out was embarrassing for most people and it did the trick for Goten.

"Oh what's wrong Cerea, did something hap…pen…" Said Kimihito.

"NO NOT YOU TOO! Is everyone going to walk in here?!" Goten exclaimed embarrassed.

Luckily for Goten, nobody else walked in there. Unfortunately for Goten, someone did fly in there. Next, the thing he knew, Papi flew in. "Goten is Naked! Naked! Naked!" Papi said playfully as she clapped her feathers together.

"Papi, don't say that! This situation is awkward enough." Kimihito said.

"ARGH I was kidding!" Yelled Goten.

"Is everything okay darling? Miia slithered in and looked around and saw a blob of water holding Goten in its tentacles. He was looking down at the ground as if he had lost his will to live. "…Oh" She deadpanned.

"Just end me now…" the Saiyan said now dejected.

The slime looked at the other people now present in the room and allowed Goten to slowly slip out of her tentacles. Goten grabbed a towel and left the room in embarrassment similar to what Miia did last night.

Right as Goten left, the slime immediately pounced on the group. Everyone moved out of the way except Kimihito and Centorea. Centorea held up her sword, but the slime slipped past it and landed right on poor Kurusu.

Later, Goten would come back to the bathroom dressed.

"Alright, I'm dressed now! Let's see what I can do about th-" He was interrupted by the sight of the slime now in the shape of a girl caressing Kimihitos chest with her breast as the other girls lay there unconscious.

"Oh, um… Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude! Honest! I'll give you your privacy!" Goten bolted out the room as fast as he came in.

"Wait Goten don't get the wrong idea. Wait, wait! Don't leave me here!" Kimihito yelled for Goten to come to save him. The night would end with Kimihtio diluting the slime in the tub.

As Goten was prepared to sleep in his bed, he'd forgotten about his embarrassing moment and his mind went back to the liminal traffickers. 'If I do what I did as Saiyaman X2, they'll try to arrest me and I don't have my watch on me, but I also can't just stand there and let them be taken away by terrible people... Yes, I got it! I'll simply get a new disguise!' And with that, the second night at Kurusu's household came to an end and the story of Saiyaman X2 away from Saiyaman X1 began.

Authors Note: Alright so a few updates: I've been pretty busy with real life stuff this month so there's that. I'm also getting involved in something new so I don't know how much free time I'll have moving forward, but I'll try to upload when I can. That said, I am making some changes to the last chapter. I remembered how much stronger Cell Saga characters were, so I'll be changing their power levels. good start. Until we meet again, peace!

Edit: I deleted form multipliers because it was never a good idea. My opinion on changes too much on how strong forms are and most of the transformations aren't even relevant to this specific story. All you need to know is the confirmed multipliers for the normal Super Saiyan forms. Yes, it's based on Super where SSJ2 is 10s of times stronger which still means it's probably still a 100x boost. This means that in this story, I'm not going to make SSJ a 500x multiplier like some believe it is. Goten's power level may seem a bit weak to some but there's a lore reason for that. Originally I made Goten as low as he is because I'm pretty sure it was implied that Goten was slacking on training because he was busy being a rizzler. This edit is made after the DBS Super Hero movie arc ended so Goten was also grounded for 6 months and wasn't able to train. Cell Max is hard to scale off of since everyone can beat him up, even Krillin and probably Yamcha. Goten's still stronger than Cell Jr, but that's all I can really say.
