Daily Life with a Saiyan Teen Chapter 4: The Sadistic Siren.

Sorry this took awhile but I got two chapters this time around. Anyway, this story is going to be about Goten going through the main plot for a time. However, this isn't going to be a copy and paste with Goten in the story. As seen in Chapter 3, The incident with Kii is going to be dealt with early on meaning the events of that chapter will not take place which gives me room for something else. Also, heck yeah, end of Z dlc for DBZ Kakarot! That means I'll finally have a good way to characterize Trunks when I get to him! Seriously though, he seemed so cool at the end of Z and was all right in GT from what I remember. I get that Superhero happened a year before the end of Z or probably like 3 months considering Super Hero takes place 9 months after the Saiyaman X2 stuff, but still. I'm not yet at the point where there will be drastic changes in the story, but that plot will actually start to be set up in the next chapter when I introduce my last major character for the time being. And here's something else, he's actually going to be comparable to Goten and what's more it's completely believable.

It was a new day following what happened last night. Ms. Smith visited the forest first thing in the morning to accommodate the Dryad whom she failed to find after she was trafficked. Miia was watching Mero and trying to sabotage her because she thought the mermaid was after her darling. As it would turn out, Mero was just a tragic addict. Goten was going to check on Kii, but before that, he had to go to school. As usual, he sat next to Asashi and began his day.

"Hey, Asashi how's it going? Did you get any better at 'that'?

"Yeah, I think I got the hang of it! …There's one problem though."

"What's that?" Goten asked.

"I was grounded... I accidentally blow a hole in the ceiling, so it will be a while until we can train together again. My mom gets really scary when she's mad."

"Aw, that sucks! I told you to fire a ki blast in the house."

"I know, I know, but I was just so excited! Thank you so much by the way! Even if we can't train together for a while, I can definitely train on my own time! Also no offense, but I don't want to rely on you too much to learn this power. I''m fine with you teaching me a little more about the basics but after that, I want to develop my ki on my own. I could never consider myself my rival if I learned everything from you.

"Yeah, I get that. I can also totally relate to having a mom who's scary when she's mad."

"Wait, your mom scares you? Even after all you did out there? Is she stronger than even you?!"

"No, she isn't. At least not normally. But when she's angry, I swear she could beat my dad and my brother at their strongest."

"Dang, and I thought I had it bad!"

The two laughed as they found something else in common.

Later in the day, a Siren by the name of Melody was in the hallway in her wheelchair. She had purple hair and silver fins. She suddenly heard a noise, and it was two male students running after pulling a prank on a teacher.

"Haha, we totally got him good!"

"You should have seen the look on his face!"

One of them bumped into Melody's wheelchair, knocking her down.

"Oh, no! I'm so sorry, let me help you out!" Said the male student who tried to help her out.

"Oh, it's fine. Thank you for helping me up." Said Melody. However, the student noticed an intense look in her eyes and a twisted smile."

"Oh, never mind! I'm getting out of here before she places a curse on me or something!"

Melody Ligeia was a Siren with short dark purple hair and two silver tails. Melody like most mermaids had a love of tragedies, however, unlike mermaids, she didn't want to live through the tragedy. She preferred to be an observer or the cause of a tragedy where other people got hurt. Melody was desperate to find a husband to get out of her current situation. For that reason, she fled her home and through a series of events, she ended up in Japan. There was one problem. She had a strong loathing towards men. She had a solution to this, however. Singing. A siren's voice was so enchanting that it could lure Sailors to their deaths. This was a practice done by her ancestors but stopped as human technology had become so advanced that they could block out their voices and slaughter them with ease. In the past, they would lure male sailors to them so they could kill them and devour their corpses. They would occasionally rape them before killing them for reproduction reasons as well. Though this particular practice wasn't common anymore, many Sirens would still use their enchanting voices to their advantage and Melody was one of them. In her case, she used her voice to temporarily enthrall men to do her bidding.

"Oh, are you okay?" Asked Goten who reached out his hand to her.

Melody thought he looked cute. Not in the attractive type of way, but in the same way one would find a teddy bear cute. It made her want to see that face of his screaming in agony as that would make him even cuter to her. She believed she had found her next prey, but this wasn't her normal prey. She heard of what Goten did. If she got control of him, then she'll be able to achieve her goal and maybe find happiness for herself once and for all. "I'm quite all right thanks to you~ Tell me, what is your name?" She asked in a flirtatious tone.

"I'm Son Goten! Sorry about that guy. He was rude."

"Don't worry about him. Say, is your name Melody by any chance?"

"Why yes, it is. Melody Ligeia. It is a pleasure to meet you" She did a princess bow.

"Oh, so you're the one Mero told me about! It's nice to officially meet you! I remember you from the dodgeball game."

This caused Melody to break character. "Wait, you know Meroune?! As in Meroune Lorelei Du Neptune?!" 'This is bad! If he knows her, then he might be trying to bring me back to the kingdom!' She thought.

"I didn't know that was her full name, but yeah. She wanted me to see how you were doing. Didn't expect to bump into you like this though."

'No, I said too much!' "I refuse to go back! I won't let her take me!" Said Melody realizing she had revealed her distant relatives full name.

"Um, are you okay? I think she was just concerned for you, that's all."

"Her? Concerned? Please, when something horrid had happened to me, she thought it was entertaining. She isn't in the least bit concerned. In fact, she sees it as a good thing."

"Oh, I'm sorry, that sounds like it sucks! If you want, I can talk to her about it."

"No matter what you say, I'm not going back!"

"Why do you think I'd try to take you back to wherever you came from? I don't even know where that is."

"If you try to take me I'll take you down with m- huh? You're really not trying to take me back?"

Goten nodded.

Melody sighs. "That's such a relief… Tell me, how about you help me out instead? I promise you will be properly rewarded." She says in a seductive tone as she caresses his face.

"Sure, I guess I don't mind helping, but what do you need help with? Also, for me, helping someone in need is its own reward, so I don't need anything in return."

"That sounds wonderful! At a later time, we shall meet in the library. Preferably a time when no one else is there…" she said ominously.

"Sure! I'll make sure to remember!"

"Well, I'll be on my way now. It was wonderful speaking to you!"

"Goodbye Melody! See you soon!"

"Yes… soon indeed…"

Goten would later find himself helping out Mizuki with his crush.

"Are you sure about this Goten? I don't want to make things awkward between us." Said Mizuki.

"You don't have to do this if you don't want to, but if you sit there and wait, someone else might sweep her off her feet. I'm not saying you should rush things, but maybe you should talk to her. See what her interests are and maybe invite her to hang out or something."

"But then she'll get suspicious! I don't want her to know I have a crush on her. It's embarrassing!"

"If you ever end up with her, wouldn't she know anyway? I think you should shoot your shot."

"Fine, let me try." Mizuki walked up to Jira. "Hey, Jira…"

"Oh, hey Mizu, where have you been? I haven't seen you around lately." She said.

"I-uh… I've been thinking of things lately and I just wanted to tell you that I-I think you're really cool."

"Thanks, Mizu! I think you're really cool too! Why are you telling me this though? Are you just handing out compliments today?"

"Well… Yes! Yeah, that's what I'm doing! I'll be on my way now!" Said Mizuki as he walked back to Goten.

"How did it go?"

"It was so scary! Can you just tell her for me?"

"No, I won't do that. I'm not an expert on women, but from secondhand experience, Women tend to like men who can confidently admit their feelings to the person they love."

"Of course, an upstanding guy like you would have a lot of experience in love, but this is new to me! I had small crushes in the past, but I know Jira is the girl for me!"

"Actually, that's where you're wrong Mizuki."

"Are you kidding me? You seem awfully close with that Draconis girl…"

"Nah, we're good friends, but we don't have that kind of relationship. I'll explain at another time, but I'm really trying to avoid romantic relationships for now. This isn't about me though, it's about you, and I think I understand the main issue here. You don't have a lot of self-confidence, do you?"

"Well, of course, I don't! I mean, have you seen me? I'm skinny, weak, introverted, and I don't have many friends. I'm just the dweeb who likes anime too much."

"No Mizuki, you're much more than that! You're a pretty chill dude, and I'm proud to call you, my friend! This is what I mean by we need to work on your confidence. If you want someone to love you, you should at least try to love yourself first."

"Then tell me! How do you do it? How do you manage to love yourself?" Asked Mizuki

"That's a good question. Well, I guess it's because I know that just being alive makes my friends and family happy, and I like whatever makes them happy. Of course, I have my own interests too, but I try to balance them out. As I was saying before, I don't have any personal experience in love, so I'm no expert, but I've known people who have, and I can only give advice based on what I've seen."

"So that's the trick? Finding your self-worth?"

"There's definitely more to it than just that, but that's a good place to start. I never met Jira, so I can't really say what her type is, but I can say this. If you learn to love yourself, it will be easier for you in the long run. Even if she says no, you can at least take comfort in the fact that you tried and hey, there's other fish in the sea even if she does reject you."

"Well, I'm pretty proud of my grades and my skill in video games! …But that's not something that Jira would find attractive. I'm not traditionally good looking and I'm small. A strong girl like her wouldn't like a wimpy guy like me." Mizuki put his head down."

"Hey, cheer up! Both of those are things to be proud of in their own right! It doesn't matter if it's attractive or not. It makes you happy and it's a part of who you are! Also, I would totally kick your butt in video games!"

"Oh? Are you challenging me?" Said Mizuki with a new air of confidence.

"You bet I am! Let's see what you got rookie!"

"ROOKIE?! OH, IT IS ON! ARCADE. AFTER SCHOOL!"

"Haha, game on! I have time, but I need to check on someone first."

"All right then! I'll see you soon!" Little did Goten know, Melody was watching him.

Later

After school, Goten came to the library. "Hi, Melody! What did you need help with?

"Oh, I just needed your thoughts on a song. I usually don't get much feedback because of my species. I understand if you're afraid..." She acted sad about this.

"Um sure, I guess I can give you a quick listen."

Melody sadistically smirked. Finally, she could use the superhuman to her advantage, and her kingdom would be forced to back down from trying to marry her off to a power-hungry prince. Everything was going her way. She sang her song and when she was done, she gave Goten a grim smile. She'd finally have control over the seemingly superhuman man and would be able to bypass the interspecies exchange bill by using a human male to do her bidding.

"Hey, so were you trying to control me? Is that some kind of technique you were trying to test out on me?" Goten asked curiously. His mind training came in handy at this moment, but he was still unsure of what she was trying to do. He could piece together that she was trying to more or less control him, but he didn't know why.

"N-No, of course not! I merely desired to show you gratitude! It must have been an unintended side effect. My apologies, I'll be on my way now!" She gave a light bow before rolling her wheelchair away. Before she could get away a new face appeared in the library. He had brown silky hair and a smooth face.

"Of course, you would be here! I thought I told you to be in my car 10 minutes ago. You know what happens when you make me wait right?" Said a snobby kid. He viciously grabbed her arm in an attempt to get her out of her wheelchair to drag her into his car. Goten saw this and grabbed his hand.

"How dare you touch me, you filthy commoner! I promise you will pay dearly… Now, if you apologize, I'll consider showing you mercy, but if you don't. Let's just say you won't like what happens next." He smugly smiled at Goten.

"No, I think it's you who won't like what happens next if I see you do something like that again," Goten said angrily.

"Peasant, I can buy your entire life! I can easily have you expelled from this school! I will make your life a living hell!"

"Okay, first of all who still calls people that. Secondly, you just harmed a liminal. As bad as the laws are, I think you're the one who will have their life ruined."

"Please, I'm rich. The authorities will turn a blind eye just like they normally do." He said smugly. He then aggressively grabbed Melody's arm.

"P-Please stop! You're hurting me Hisato! Don't you do enough to me at home?"

"You're my personal plaything. Only I decide when it's enou- he was interrupted by a punch in the eye from none other than Goten.

"you said the authorities will turn a blind eye? Well, I can do that too. Don't worry, this time, I didn't put a lot of force into that punch, so it will heal eventually, and you'll get your vision back, but if I find out you hurt Melody again, I won't be so nice. Don't think your parents' money will save you from me either. You can make me an outcast or have the police after me, but that still won't be enough to stop me." Goten said coldly.

"Y-You're just bluffing!" Said Hisato.

"I will be informing my kingdom of what you've done to me every day since I've been here! I will tell them of every time you hit me and violated me as if you owned me! I thought that if I endured long enough, you'd eventually get tired of me, and I wouldn't have to go back to the kingdom and marry someone I didn't love! Now I know that whatever life is before me is far better than living with you! You call this boy a mongrel, but you're even lower than that. Say goodbye to all that wealth you have! Even if the humans don't believe me when I come out with my story, it will certainly cause a scandal, and you'll forever be treated like scum!" Said Melody

"W-Wait, don't do that! I'm sorry!" Said Hisato. The Siren told his family about her situation and he took full advantage of that fact. He was counting on breaking her so much that she'd never tell anyone what he was doing to her.

"This isn't something your disingenuous apology can get you out of, not that I'd be of any difference if it was. You're going to suffer the consequences, and your suffering will be glorious!" Said Melody!

"Damn it! You'll have to crawl back to me at some point! I'll find a way to shut you up for good!" The snobby rich kid ran away out of the library to get to the black car being driven by his servants.

"Who was that jerk anyway?" Asked Goten.

"His name is Hisato Nimura. He comes from a very rich family who also serves as my host family. His parents have been nothing but good to me, but their son can die for all I care. Whenever he was angry, he'd beat me, and sometimes he'd have his way with me no matter how much I begged him not to. I haven't said anything because I understand how hopeless it is. Once a maid told the masters of the mansion we stay in about how much their child abuses her, but of course they sided with their bastard of a son. He even had many of his servants testify that it was the maid who came on to him and paid off the police. She was ostracized by her friends and family and killed herself. There was a funeral held for the poor woman and he disgraced her by mocking her suicide. I thought if I stayed quiet, he'd leave me alone, but that made me his favorite. He'd forced himself on me many times, and there was nothing I could do because if I defended myself, I'd be sent back. I also knew I couldn't go back home either as marrying that prince would cause the destruction of my kingdom and other alternative host families were either paid off or ended up missing. It was at that point I knew anything I did would be hopeless. Now, I don't care about anything anymore. Not my home or Japan!"

At this point, Goten regretted not doing any permanent damage. Of course, he could find him and give him the beating of a lifetime but that would be on Melody's words alone. He'd need proof if he were to do something like that. Sometimes Goten acted without thinking, but even he knew he needed to approach this with caution.

Melody turned to Goten. "I'm sorry, for everything. For trying to control you I mean. You were right earlier..., I tried to control you so I could make you kill Hisato Nimura. I loathe most men, but I needed to find a husband, or my kingdom would eventually find me and force me to marry a terrible man I didn't love. I didn't trust you either. I pretended to be kind so I could use you" She admits. "I thought if I could make you my slave, I could get my freedom, control another human to marry so my kingdom to refrain from trying to take me back, and as a bonus, I'd be able to bypass the law should any human try to hurt me."

"That's awful!" Goten sighed and started speaking softly. "I know men have wronged you in the past, but you really shouldn't hurt people who aren't involved. That Hisato Nimura guy is a scumbag though. I won't kill him, but if I see him near you again, I'll make him wish I would."

"I know that now. No, in truth I always have known. I'll admit that I did want to see you suffer partially because of your sex. However, I regret to inform you that my main reason is I wanted to see your adorable face crying out in agony."

"Gosh, that's kind of dark." Goten had cringed at what he heard.

"I understand if you hate me. I hurt a lot of people with my songs. I separated couples and ruined relationships, all for my amusement. Nothing more, and nothing less. Moving forward, I will fight my nature as Siren and I'll work on becoming a better person! I know I have no right to ask you this, but please help me!"

"I can't justify what you tried to do and what you have done, and you definitely have a lot to work on." Melody looked sad for a moment. "But I will help you. Based on what I saw and heard from Hisato, I do believe you're unsafe around him but before we do anything, there's one thing I gotta ask."

"And what's that, Goten?"

"Why did you try to control me specifically? You could have gone for any other guy and probably succeeded with whatever it was you were trying to accomplish and no one would know a thing."

Melody sighed. "I wanted to use you as a slave. Because of Hisato and other men in my life, I grew to despise men. Aside from Hisato's father, all the men in my life have done nothing but strip me of my freedom. I fled my Kingdom to get out of a horrible engagement with a power-hungry prince. Hisato hurt me a lot, and not just me either. He did so in ways you couldn't imagine... When I saw you perform in that human game, I saw that there was much more to you than you were letting on. And then I heard of your feats. You beat a werewolf which I figured could have been from simply outsmarting him or catching him off guard in his human form. Nobody knew the full story there. However I heard members of his band of misfits talk about how you not only defended yourself against them with a single finger while not paying attention, but you easily broke out a lamia's coil. Someone like you could easily get passed the guards and kill Hisato. All I'd have to do is control you and get you to seemingly go to the mansion on your own to murder Hisato... However, I saw you helping out your friend, and it seemed like you were genuinely trying to help him. Other guys I met would either want something from him, or would try to take the girl for themselves as if we're nothing more than property. Not only did you try to help him, but you tried to boost his confidence and even ensured him it would be okay if he was rejected. I still doubted your character a little after this, and at this point, I still wanted to control you. I was still going to have you kill Hisato, but I decided that instead of having you take the blame, I'd make it look like an accident which would be much harder to do. I'd then make you my husband so I could bypass the law and distance myself from my kingdom. After what you did for me, I don't want that anymore."

"Melody, I forgive you for what you tried to do to me. Just please don't kill him. Don't get me wrong, I understand why you'd want to kill him and after hearing what I just heard, I wouldn't blame you if you gave into that but if they find out you killed a human, there will be punishments from Japan, and your Kingdom. Melody, what you said about me earlier is wrong. I don't hate you, and I don't want you to suffer for what he did to you. I'll do my best to get the law involved, and if that fails, I'll take it into my own hands even if I end up a criminal."

"Just like that? I don't deserve this kindness. You know I'm not a good person, right? You aren't the only person I used my enchanted song on. I used it to hurt a lot of people... I destroyed many relationships! Does that sound like someone worth protecting to you!"

"Yeah, you've done bad things, but you suffered way too much already. You also tried to use me to carry out a murder, but it didn't happen, so I'm not too angry about it because the attempt failed. I'm not trying to say your actions were justifiable, but on a personal level, I do forgive you." Though to some, this level of forgiveness may be unreasonable, Goten was simply not one to hold a grudge. This for better or worse ran in the family. His dad befriended people who murdered people and committed mass genocide, his older brother didn't forgive Cell, but he originally didn't even want to kill someone as terrible as him, and Goten himself completely forgave Good Buu even though he technically did kill a lot of people on Babadi's orders granted they did resurrect all the good people with the Dragon Balls. Goten just couldn't find it in himself to even care about what she tried to do to him.

Melody looked at him in shock. Even after what she tried to do to him, he forgave her. This kid was possibly the most naive person she had ever met, but she didn't hate that about him.

"You know, I have an idea? This will sound a bit weird especially since we just meant and I know you don't trust men but… How would you like to stay with us? Just for today, I mean. There's only one other guy, and the girls will probably like you. I can ask our Coordinator to arrange a new place for you to live. If that's not okay with you, we can find somewhere else, but I'm not letting Hisato or anyone else hurt you."

"You'd really do that? For me? Even after all I've tried to do to you?"

"No matter what you did, I couldn't bear to leave you in a situation like this. He said he was looking for a way to shut you up for good and whatever he meant by that implies really bad intentions. My Host family would treat you well though. I'm sure of it." Goten understood what she did was terrible, and possibly did actions that were unforgivable, but he believed in second chances, and he didn't know how effected people were by Melody's actions.

"You're a liminal?"

"Well yes, in a way, I guess I am. I'm not one in the traditional sense though." Though he was open about most things including being from another world, he had no clue how this world would respond to an alien, especially one whose race had a history of causing the extinction of many races and could easily blow up the planet. Sure, nothing on this version of Earth could hurt him from what he observed, but Goten was a peaceful person who didn't want conflict.

"How interesting! In any case, please treat me well."
"I promise!"

Goten could have flown her back home, but then he'd have to account for her wheelchair, and doing that wasn't exactly safe for Melody, so he choose to roll her back home instead.

"You mentioned you're a liminal but not in the traditional sense? Whatever could you have meant by that?"

"I came from a different world, but because of an accident, I ended up trapped in a machine that sent me here. They're very technologically advanced back home."

"I see. If I may be blunt, your story does seem a bit farfetched."

"Yeah, I figured as much. It's not something I usually tell people unless they ask me about my liminal status. It's not something I have to keep a secret."

"Well, in any case, I can tell the rumors about your strength aren't a myth."

"Did I really punch him that hard?" Goten could have sworn his punch was heavily suppressed to a normal human level. He wouldn't have minded if he did after hearing how much of a scumbag Hisato was but he really thought he used a reasonable amount of force in that punch.

"Oh, no, on the contrary! I believe you didn't hit him hard enough. I wish you killed him."

"Melody, you have to realize that he may have been a scumbag but I wouldn't be any better if I outright murdered the guy."

"You're only saying that because you don't know how terrible he is! His parents weren't awful, but Hisato can die for all I care! No, I hope he suffers a fate far worst than death! He'd force me to do things, and when I'd disobey, he'd have his men beat me into submission. He knows I'm trying to escape from my kingdom, so he took full advantage of that. Well, no more! I'll make sure my Kingdom knows what he's done, and he will suffer!"

"He's a terrible person, but even he has a family who probably really cares about him. That's part of the reason I won't take his life. As for you getting your Kingdom involved, are you sure you want to do this? I can't say for sure how bad life was back home for you, but are you willing to do that even if you have to marry a power-hungry prince? Don't think I'm defending Hisato, because i'm not. He deserves consequences for his actions, but you've been telling me it would be really bad for you if you had to go back."

"I'm destined to be unhappy for the rest of my days now, and if I'm being honest wth myself, I deserve it. There's nothing for me in Japan or back home… If I'm to fall into a life of unhappiness, I will at least make sure that wretched mongrel's life is hell! Once I've done that, I will take my own!"

"Don't say that! Killing yourself is never the answer! We'll figure something out okay?!"

"Then what is it?!"

Suddenly, man in a black suit approaches the pair. "Unfortunately, the only hell you should be concerned about is the place I'm sending you. Nothing personal, but money talks." He gestured over to Goten. "It's nothing personal, but our employer pays too well to pass this up. However, I'd rather avoid unnecessary bloodshed. If you leave now, I will spare your life."

'This is it. He'll leave me behind just so he can get away. He'll use me, just like every other man has.'

"Not a chance! You want her? Well, you'll have to get through me!"

"Well, you can't say I didn't warn you." Said the Assassin. He pulls out a knife at blinding speed, and tries to slice Gotens' throat to get through him, to Melody, but in an instant, Goten punches him in the face with extremely suppressed power. He covered his face with his hands as he yelped in pain, just like Jeice did when his father punched him.

"I'll give you a similar proposition. If you leave us alone now, I won't cripple you and call the police."

To his surprise, the man smirked. "You think I'm the only one you have to worry about."

Suddenly, there was a gunshot aimed right at Melody, so Goten ran in front of it taking the bullet head-on. Fortunately for Goten, guns were nothing compared to his durability. His head was down making his eyes invisible making the sniper think he got him. The Saiyan stood there with his head down, and his body began to vibrate.

"Darn, I was aiming for the mutant mermaid chick! Oh well, at least with him gone, this makes it much easier!" He began to take aim again.

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that if I were you."

"Yeah, why would I be worr- WAIT WHO ARE YOU?!"

Goten answered him with a kick in the stomach, knocking him off a tall building he was standing on, causing him to nearly fall to his death. Before he hit the ground, Goten grabbed his leg midair, and then threw him at a person with a large body trying to grab Melody, knocking them both out in the process.

"Son Goten… Just what are you?"

Goten gave her the typical Son smile. "Just a guy who's far away from home."

"That really doesn't answer my question… Well, whatever you are, I don't mind at all. You saved me when you had every reason to not want to help me."

"What can I say? I was raised on mercy and giving people second chances. Even the worst of the worst can change, and you're far from that. You saw how when I kicked that guy off the building, I caught him before he hit the ground? Well, that's why. Sure, he's a bad guy, but he wasn't a threat anymore and he there was no real reason he had to die."

"Well, it doesn't matter what you are. You saved me even after I tried to make you my slave, and you were the first man around my age who treated me like a person!"

"It was no problem, but before anything else." Goten inhaled and then exhaled. "I KNOW THERE ARE MORE OF YOU OUT THERE! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO END UP LIKE YOUR FRIENDS, LEAVE US ALONE!"

There wasn't anyone around except for the assassins as they were currently in a very secluded area. However, Goten did hear footsteps moving further away from him.

"Good, choice. I'll be calling the police now."

"Thank you, Son Goten. My perfect prince."

"What was that?"

"Oh, it was nothing." She said blushing.

Later.

Goten and Melody were now at Kimihito's door. He had to tell Mizuki through text that he had to cancel the arcade plans as something important came up. He felt bad about leaving his friend hanging especially since it was an exercise to boost his confidence, but that could wait.

"Hey guys, I'm home! Please don't be too mad, but I brought a guest…"

"Oh, come on in. Any friend of yours is a friend of mine." Said Kimihito.

Goten walked in with Melody, and Mero was surprised. She didn't expect to see her distant relative.

"Oh, hello again Melo, I'm so glad to see you again."

"MERO?! What are you doing here?!"

"I thought I mentioned I knew her?" Said Goten confused.

"You didn't say you lived with her!" Melody exclaimed before turning to Mero. "And you! Don't you dare send me home!"

"Oh, I wouldn't dream of it." Said Mero

"I take it you two know each other?" Asked Kimihito.

"Why of course. This is my distant relative, Melody Ligeia. We haven't spoken in awhile."

"She's your family? Well in that case." Kimihito turned to Melody. "Why don't you join us for dinner? I'm sure you two have a lot of catching up to do."

Sometime later

Everyone was eating together and even Ms. Smith joined as always.

"I apologize for not finding the correct homestay for you. The assassins have been caught and are in the process of being interrogated. I understand completely if you no longer wish to live in human society."

"Do you have no idea what your reckless decision put me through?! I had to deal with abuse from my host family's brat every day, and because I couldn't hurt him, and he was rich, he continuously got away with it all! I couldn't go back home either!"

"Oh, that sounds simply delightful! The Siren leaves home to escape a corrupt prince only to end up in a home where she's treated as nothing more than a plaything. Oh, it's so tragic." Mero said happily.

"Shut your damn mouth Mero! You think what my host family's son did to me is entertaining?! The arranged marriage thing was a long time ago, so I was willing to forget about that, but now? Forget it!"

"Are you serious Mero?! Goten shouted angrily. "What's wrong with you?!"

"You've taken this too far this time." Said Centorea sternly.

"How could you even say that?!" Said Miia in disbelief.

"Calm down everyone! And Mero, that was seriously uncalled for. Enjoying a tragic story is one thing, but real people are being affected here!" He understood how everyone felt, but he had guests who were here to discuss something very important, and the mood was already tense enough. After hearing that Melody girls situation, the current process was something that couldn't be interrupted. That said, Mero's comment upset him too.

"Oh, my I meant no offense. It's jus-

"No, it doesn't matter what you meant! You still said it! Our relationship may be distant, but I hoped the lady I used to always look up to wouldn't make light of what happened to me! What you said about my arranged marriage was a long time ago and I was willing to forgive and forget! But never mind that now! You haven't changed and I never want to see you again!" Though Sirens tend to enjoy causing tragic situations to land dwellers, they usually didn't do that to each other, and when they did, it was seen as morally reprehensible. Many Sirens didn't even view land dwellers as people, so they had no issue with causing them pain. Melody was also like this until recently. She initially showed little regard for both men and women, but after seeing what Hisato did to the maid and to herself, she began to see women more as people and men as mere animals. After witnessing Goten's forgiving nature, she felt guilt for her actions for the first time. Despite this, she still naturally had a very sadistic nature whether she tried to suppress it or not.

Mero went quiet and looked very sad. She momentarily took peeks at everyone around her but especially Melody before looking away. Miia, and Centorea were disgusted by what Mero just said. Suu couldn't really understand what was going on, and Papi felt bad for her.

"Hey don't you think that was a bit much? I'm sure she already regrets what she said." Said Kimihito.

Melody scowled at him. "I wasn't harsh enough! If you had to deal with an entire year of an abuse, and your idol laughed at your pain, how would you respond!"

"No one's saying you're wrong to be upset with her, but saying all that is just beating a dead horse. You knew Mero longer than me, but from my experience, I don't think she was trying to be malicious. I know that doesn't excuse what she said, and I'm not going to tell you how to feel. I'm just really concerned about Mero, that's all. I'll have a talk with her after everything is said and done."

Melody simply glared at him. "Well, you heard what I said. I'm done talking to her, so you don't have to be concerned about me saying anything else."

Ms. Smith saw the awkwardness in the room and continued. "I can't apologize enough for what happened to you. I should have taken precautions to prevent something like this... I'm sorry." Said Smith in a genuinely apologetic tone. "I am well aware of the fact that you have no desire to go back home, but I'm also aware of your distrust towards the opposite sex. This narrows our choices down, however, there aren't a lot of homestays that meet your requirements and the ones that do are either very far away or have an awful history. I can also see you wouldn't exactly be comfortable here either."

Melody noticed Smiths' guilty tone and felt bad for her outburst. "No, I apologize. You couldn't have known what would happen to me, and I should have said something sooner. I was just so scared... For what it's worth, the owners of the mansion were good people at heart, it was mostly their son and his servants who were truly awful people. As for moving in with another homestay, I'm willing to listen to what you have to say."

Goten walked over to Melody. "Wait, are you sure you want to end things like this with Mero?"

"Why should I care about her? She clearly doesn't care about me as a person. All she cares about the hardships I went through."

"I don't think it's because she doesn't care, she seemed like she wanted to connect with you again a while back. But maybe that's just me. I think she just really doesn't know how situations like this actually feel like. She seriously needs to understand that while it's okay to enjoy a story, you shouldn't apply that to real life. Well, that's all I wanted to say. It's up to you whether or not you want to try to mend things with her. As for me, I want to have a talk with Mero. We haven't talked too much, and I don't want our relationship to be too strained before we really get to know each other.

Goten walked up to Mero and spoke in a soft tone. "Hey Mero, can we talk?" Said Goten softly. He didn't want to be too aggressive in his approach.

"O-Oh, I would be honored to, Sir Goten." She was clearly still sad from the looks she got from the other homestays along with everyone yelling at her."

Goten noticed her sad tone, and spoke softly. "There's no need to call me that. Let's find somewhere to talk in private. I don't know if you'd want the others to hear."

"Okay…"

Later, they were in Mero's room. Goten told her she could have this talk wherever she felt most comfortable and she chose her pool.

"Listen, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. None of us did, but someone needed to tell you at some point or another."

"No, you have nothing to feel bad for. It was my fault. I ignored how she felt for so long."

Goten sighed. "I still wouldn't feel right about leaving you like this. What you said was incredibly rude and insensitive, but i'm sure what you said wasn't out of malice. Kimihito pretty much summed up the problem."

"That I need to separate reality and fiction?"

"Right. It's perfectly fine to enjoy tragic stories, and if it's something you personally fantasize about living through, it's not my place to judge, but there is a time and a place for it. For example, you should never do that at a funeral, a hospital, or if someone is clearly suffering in front of you. I'm not asking you to change who you are. Just please be a bit more mindful, okay?

"You must understand, tragedies are very important to my culture and it is ideal for us mermaids to experience one for ourselves!"

Goten had no clue about this. He didn't know anything about mermaid culture despite mermaids existing in his world too. Heck, he hardly knew anything about the culture of other liminals or even other humans in this world for that matter. "Mero, when I say this, I don't mean to disrespect your culture or anything like that, but other species won't appreciate having terrible moments in their lives being glorified or treated as entertainment. It is also important to realize that even if you want to be a part of some kind of sad story, most people don't, and it would be unfair to drag those people, into that desire. All I'm saying is you should try to tone down the tragedy talk just a little bit."

"I see your point, but is experiencing tragedy not something to be desired by other species? Why wouldn't other species enjoy the thrill of a tragic experience?"

"Other than the fact that it's painful? Some humans enjoy tragic stories too and I'm sure that extends to other races. Some people just like stories that make them feel emotional, but there's a huge difference between feeling emotional from a story and being emotionally distraught because something bad happened to you personally. When you read a story, you might feel many different emotions, but you know at the end of the day, it's just a story. In real life, people don't get enjoyment out of losing something important to them. When you really care about something or someone, you would never want to feel the pain of losing whatever it is you're attached to. Believe me when I say I know what I'm talking about."

"Whatever could you mean by that?"

"There was a time when my brother was badly beaten by someone and we all thought he was dead. I was only seven at the time and when I got the news, I was in denial, I was devastated and I felt helpless. I couldn't skip through the pages to find out everything turned out fine, I couldn't tell myself it wasn't real, and I couldn't stop experiencing the story either. I had to live through it all in real-time and it hurt a lot."

"I see. I appreciate hearing your perspective, however, I'm afraid I still don't understand why one wouldn't desire to go through such a tragedy. Still, I do want to make amends with Melody, but she seemed very upset with me."

"And this is exactly what I'm talking about! You want to make amends with her, but wouldn't that mean that you, yourself have something you don't want to lose? You want to have her friendship again, don't you? I'm really sorry for bringing this up again, but how did it make you feel when Melody said what she said to you?"

"I-I didn't feel great..." Mero admitted. "But isn't that what the thrill of a tragedy is about? I would have to forever live with the anguish of not helping her and would carry that guilt to the grave. What's not to desire about that?"

"Is that what you really want? You could end up losing her and other people if you keep thinking like that. After what just happened, can you honestly tell me the pain of losing Melody would make you happy? Even if it did for a little bit, would it be worth it in the end?"

Mero was silent for a second before responding. She thought of everyone's reaction. Goten's, the girls, Melody, and Kimihito. "Then how do you suggest I make amends with her?" She said.

"Well, I guess an apology would be a pretty good start. I don't think it's too late for that. I really don't think she hates you either."

"She said she never wanted to see me again. I don't know if I could ever approach her again."

"I can go with you if you want. If it makes you feel any better, I also sometimes blurt out whatever comes to mind. I'm not as bad as I was as a kid, but it still happens sometimes. I also have a brother and we had our fair share of arguments too. At the end of the day, we were still family. All families aren't the same, but I think it would be good for you both if you try to work something out."

"I will talk to her." Said Mero.

"That's great to hear Mero!" Goten replied.

"There's no need, I heard everything." Said Melody who had now entered Mero's room.

"Melody, how did you get in here?"

"You didn't lock the door."

"Oh, I see. Well, I suppose this is quite all right. I can now speak to you directly." She apologetically bowed to her distant relative. "Melody, I am terribly sorry for what I said to you."

"I accept your apology, but it will take time to completely get over what you said to me. In a way, maybe I deserved it all. I became a pretty terrible person after our last conversation. I hated men for what a select few did to me, and I made many people miserable too. Some of it was out of vengeance, but most of it was to satisfy my own lust. I used my voice to separate couples and ruined many relationships and what's more, I relished every moment of it. I even tried to use Goten to kill the person abusing me." Said Melody.

"Wait, before you say anything, I already forgave her and that person did extremely terrible things to her! She went about it in the wrong way, but she's trying to be a better person! I wasn't hurt one bit by her!" Said Goten.

Mero looked at Goten before turning to Melody. "Regardless of what you did in the past, I still love you." Said Mero.

"I love you too Meroune. And I also love Goten, but in a different type of way." Said Melody

"Wait, you do?"

"Yes, I initially wanted you as my pawn, but now I think I really do love you."

"I see…"

"Oh, make no mistake, I know you probably don't like me very much, but I promise I will change and become a woman worthy of you! I am so very grateful to you!"

"As am I. Thank you so much for giving me the chance to talk to Melody again. I never understood why she wouldn't ever visit me anymore, but now I understand!"

"That's great Me-

"From now on, I will only fantasize about tragedies in someone's life from afar!"

"That's not what I mea-"

"I very much appreciate this vital information!" Said Mero.

Goten sighed before turning to Melody. "Melody, I'm sorry, but I don't think I can ever return your feelings. I don't hate you, but when I said I was from a different world, I meant it. People are likely looking for a way to bring me back now, and if that fails, they'll use 7 magical orbs known as the Dragon Balls to bring me back. This means one day, I might just disappear without a trace. Even if we somehow ended up getting together down the road, I'll eventually have to leave you forever." Said Goten.

"That's the best part!" Said both Melody and Mero.

"Wait, what? Do you both love tragedies THAT much?"

"Of course! Said Mero enthusiastically. "I would love to experience a tragedy firsthand!" Despite her discussion with Goten, she still wasn't convinced. That said, she still wanted to get along with people, and she didn't want her own distant relative to hate her.

"As for me, I just want to see the look of anguish on your face when you have to leave everything you grew attached too. I'd be sad about it too but the thought of you being depressed will forever be fresh in my mind forever! Us Sirens usually don't like it when tragic things happen to us, but your tearful face will make it worth it!"

'They're both crazy.' Goten thought. "Wait didn't you say you loved me? Why would you want me to suffer?"

"Because the thought of your distraught face turns me on~," Said Melody seductively with an insane look on her face.

"I just remembered! Kimihito needs help cleaning about now! See you later!" Goten immediately left the room."

"Look what you did Mero, you made it awkward!"

"For some reason, I doubt that said Mero." She sweatdropped.

What happened next goes as follows. Mero realized that Goten now knew she was connected to royalty and asked him to keep it a secret. She tried to offer him things to keep it a secret, but Goten refused and kept her secret without asking for anything. Mero would tell Kimihito and the other homestays that she and Melody made up and apologized for her inappropriate behavior. Melody agreed to live with Satsuke, the Biker Cop, and the group of liminal living with him as she wanted some time away from Mero. She also gave a more thorough apology to Ms. Smith for lashing out and vowed to become a better person. As for Hisato…

Later after Hisato came home.

"Damn that filthy commoner! He has no idea who he's messing with!" He said with a black eye. The assassins he hired never got back to him.

"Hello, you insignificant scumbag. Tell me, is it true that you've been not only abusing a Siren from the Kingdom of Atlantica but hired assassins to kill her?" Said a blonde-haired teen in a dark-colored Superhero costume."

"So, what if I did? You're on my property! And speaking of property, she's mine to do with as I please! Now get out of here before I call the guards!"

"By all means please do."

"You peasants are all the same!" He smirked smugly as he dialed a number to call the guards, but he received no response. "YOU GUARDS HAVE NO RIGHT NOT TO ANSWER ME! YOU WILL ASSIST ME WITH THIS HEATHEN RIGHT THIS INSTANT!"

...

"Ah yes, about that. I knocked them all out. I couldn't have them get in the way of justice otherwise, I'd have to eliminate them too. You see, the only commoner here is you."

"And what are you going to do? You can't kill me! I'm rich! People will wonder where I went!"

The blonde kid in the Superhero outfit smirked grimly. "But no one will miss you! He sped over to the kid and kneed him in the torso, breaking his ribs and causing him to cough up blood. He then picked him up and threw him into a puddle where he would stomp his head into the dirty water. "How's it feel? I'm sure it's a match made in heaven. It's dirty just like you are! How does it feel to finally realize just how insignificant you truly are? Your family may have wealth and power, but none of that means a thing to one who is truly great!"

"Wait! Please don't kill me! I can give you money, fame, women, anything you want! Just please let me live!"

"Were you listening to a word I said you filth? None of those matters. As for you're life. Take solace in the fact that the brilliant doctor has decided to have mercy on you.

"T-Then you won't kill me?"

"No, we won't. The brilliant doctor could use a new test subject after our last one passed away. It was difficult to find another lab rat without getting too much attention from a certain someone. He likes to stay anonymous when it comes to causing fools like you to disappear." Men. Take this poor mutt back to headquarters."

"Yes sir!" Said voices from behind the bushes in his courtyard. Men began standing up and picked up the screaming teenager before carrying him away.

"WAIT, NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! FATHER, DON'T LET THEM TAKE ME!" Yelled Hisato.

The boy was stuffed in a bag and taken into a black car never to be seen again. As for his parents, they had already been knocked unconscious and all camera's were all destroyed.

The teen in the Superhero costume used his watch to contact his boss. "Beta 1 reporting for duty. The target was not present in the mansion, but her abuser has been taken care of. The Queen of Atlantica will have to wait even longer. Anyway, I was saying the abuser has been taken care of but not eliminated. He has been neutralized and is to be sent to headquarters for testing tomorrow."

"Excellent work Beta 1! With this new version of the Animorphine Drug, humans will be able to become demi-humans, or liminal as they call them in Japan! It's still a work in progress, but when we perfect it, it will be a huge success and we'll get the funding we'll need!."

"Of course, Master. Your plan is perfect as always. We are truly an unstoppable force. What should I do now master? The princess doesn't seem to be here. According to our sources, she should have been in this mansion."

"Keep looking. If she's not here, look elsewhere. Until I give you another order, keep doing your mercenary work."

"As you wish Master."

Morning

After this morning, Melody had moved from her old host family to live with Satsuke. She was able to somewhat mend her relationship with Mero and began pursuing Goten romantically. Seeing as today was a Saturday, there was no School for Goten. He did go to the arcade with Mizuki, and they were evenly matched at gaming. Before they parted ways, Mizuki let Goten know that he was planning on confessing to Jira on Monday, making the Saiyan proud. Now? Well, Goten was chilling in Kimihito's house playing video games, likely practicing for the next time he and Mizuki play together. Miia decided to make breakfast for everyone. Before he could enter the dining room, he saw Centorea on the ground staring at him in horror.

"What's wrong?! Are you okay?! Asked a concerned Goten.

"Goten, save yourself." She warned. However, it was too late for the poor Saiyan. He didn't know what he was up against. Goten turned his head and what he saw was pure horror.

"I'm glad you came! How would you like to try my new dish, Goten!" Said Miia

'Oh no! What is that? I can't eat that! …No, my mom always told me it's proper to eat the food that's given to you no matter what. Surely everyone else is overexaggerating, right? It might smell horrible, but the smell isn't everything!' "Sure, I'd love to try it!" Said Goten with a crooked smile. The moment his tongue touched the 'food' Miia made, his eyes rolled back, he dropped the fork, and he slumped to the ground unconscious. It was now official. Her cooking was so bad that it could beat a Saiyan. There was one question that remained. Could it beat Goku tho?

Later that same day...

"I'm home!" Said Kimihito who had just got back from work.

"Welcome back Darling, it's good to see you." Said Miia.

"Hey, Master?" Said Papi.

"Did you stop by the supermarket today?" Asked Mero.

"Yeah, they're having a big sale there. Vegetables and Eggs were dirt cheap." Said Kimihito.

"Really?! That's awesome!" Said Goten.

"Uh, master?" Asked Papi

"Master!" Suu tackled Kimihito before Papi could get a word in.

"I need to tell you tha-

"Stop that Suu! Give Master some space! He's exhausted!" Said Centorea

"Master, I have something to tell you!" Papi was finally able to say.

"Oh, okay, I'm listening Papi."

"So, you know, I'm going to lay an egg soon."

All the girls gasped in freight and Goten had one thing to say.

"YEAH! MY MAN!" Said an enthusiastic Goten.

Suddenly Kimihito was hit with various different objects by the girls.

"Oh, wait it's unfertilized, that doesn't mean you guys did it. My bad." Said Miia.

"You frightened me for a moment." Said Mero.

"Oh, Papi. You little troublemaker." Said Centorera

"Poor Kimihito." Said Goten before taking a sip of a drink he found in the fridge.

"How does that work? Do you lay eggs every day like a chicken or what? Asked Miia.

"I'm not like a chicken! I haven't laid an egg in a long time! But this will be the first time since I came to Japan, so I'm a little nervous."

"Oh, maybe it's because you're stressed out." Said Miia.

"Well, I think we better talk to Ms. Smith about it." Said Kimihito.

The doorbell suddenly rang.

"Can I help you sir?" Said Kimihito.

"I believe you can. Is there a young harpy in this household who's getting ready to lay an egg by any chance?" Said the strange man.

"Wait how would you know that?" Asked a suspicious Miia.

"I was tapping it- I mean just a hunch! Filmmakers know these things!"

"Film maker?" Asked Kimihito.

"Ah how rude of me. My name's Kasegi. I'm an experimental film director. My current project is a documentary about the interspecies exchange. I was hoping you'd be available for an interview."

He invites himself in and looks around the house with his camera and begins rolling on the ground.

"I'm kind of concerned." Said Kimihito.

"So am I, but we did come here for an interspecies exchange. We should do what we can to promote understanding." Said Centorea.

In the background, Miia was asking Mero about her hair who ensured her that her hair looked the same as always.

The man started with Papi.

"Beautiful. Is it time yet?" Said the strange man.

Papi shook her head.

"Then I'd like to get some footage of the other girls rooms while we're waiting for the main event."

All the girls gave him a strange look.

"It's for the good of society! You don't mind right?" The man defended.

"When you put it that way, I suppose we don't have a choice." Said Centorea.

This caused the mans smile to expand and Goten caught this. 'This guy is definitely up to something.' Goten thought.

The man would start his 'documentary' with Mero.

She was swimming in her pool as she was filmed.

"These are my living quarters, Sir Kasegi."

"Ah, that's why you're in a swimsuit. So, you like Gothic Lolita fashion?"

"Yes, I do!" Mero said happily.

"Are you also wearing underwear?

Mero gasped.

"I'm curious to see what's under that cute skirt." Said the man.

"Hey, you can't just ask a girl that!" Said Miia.

"Miia's right! Show some respect!" said Goten.

"It's all for educational purposes, I swear! There's nothing sketchy here! Can you show me how you get out the pool?" The man said trying to take everyone's attention from his obviously perverted question. Goten simply gave him a suspicious glare.

"Certainly, but it's very simple. I just built up momentum, and leap!" Says Mero as she lands. "Did you get a good shot?"

"Oh yeah!" Says Kasegi as he zooms in on her breast with his camera causing her to gasp and jump back into her pool.

"Hey, that's not cool!" Yells Kimihto with Miia and Centorea behind him.

"Don't worry, we'll cut it in post. Let's get the ball rolling and check out Centorea's room."

Goten appeared behind him and took his camera, surprising everyone in the room. "Not so fast. You're going to delete that footage right now, and if I catch you being a scumbag again, I'm throwing you out. Is that clear?" Said Goten. Goten was aware that Master Roshi was like this too, but atleast Master Roshi was always pummeled for his perverted actions, and his reading of porn magazines was his own business. Goten wasn't going to just let this slide especially since he knew the girls wouldn't be able to do anything to the man.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing!" Yelled the man.

"I know how to work a camera, so I didn't get rid of any important footage. I cut out the part where you filmed Mero's breast, but I kept the question that was valid in. Don't make me do this again." Said Goten in an uncharacteristically stern voice as he hands the man his camera back.

"Yes, sure, sure. Let's get on to Centorea's room!"

"Listen, buddy." Said Kimihito.

"There is no need to fear Master. I'll be on my guard. A noble Centaur such as myself is courageous through any adversity. I know I could normally never do anything, however with Goten here, it would be unwise of him to try anything."

Shortly after, they went to Centorea's room.

"Ooo, a Japanese-style room, classy."

"Yes, I prefer Tatami mats. The nice texture, the scent of the grasses… Centaurs do not sleep on beds or futons. Tatami mats are better for-

"Yeah, yeah, yeah that's great. Anyway, are you wearing underwear?

"What? Where did that question come from? That's got nothing to do with this!"

"You don't wear bras either?"

Centorea covered her chest. "If you must know, it's not customary for Centaurs to wear underwear!"

"I'll have to investigate further!" Says Kasegi as he gropes Centorea.

"You've taken this indecency too far! I won't tolerate any more of this! She exclaimed

"Who cares if it bugs you? Asking hard-hitting questions is what I do! So even if you and all the other monster girls hate my guts for it, this is my one true calling! I promise you! I will fight for the unity of all species!"

Centorea grits her teeth in anger as the man films. However, her face changes to one of surprise as Goten once again appears behind the man and grips his shoulder with an angry look on his face. "I told you what would happen if you tried to pull something like this again, but you couldn't help yourself, could you? Here, let me show you what your 'true calling' really is." Goten picks the man up, drags him out of the room, and tosses him into the nearest garbage.

Goten rubs his hands together. "Cleanup complete," said an unamused Goten with his eyes closed.

The man shouts a bunch of unintelligible swears as he struggles to get out of the trash. He eventually got out of the trash.

Kimihito walked up to Goten. "Are you all, right? You seem like something has been bothering you, and I don't mean just that guy either."

"Oh, I'm fine but forget about that for now. Sorry about what I just did. I didn't mean to ruin your garbage by putting him in there. I would have thrown him outside, but I didn't want to get fined for littering." Said Goten.

'Ouch. Remind me not to get on his bad side.' Thought Kimihito. "It's all right Goten, I don't blame you. I'm getting sick of this guy too."

"You damn kid! Hasn't your parents ever taught you manners!" Said Kasegi

"Oh, she taught me manners all right, like putting the trash where it belongs." Said Goten.

The man grits his teeth. "You aren't worth my time."

"No, Goten is right. You're going too far. Look, if you're just going to take advantage of the girls, then just leave."

"No, no, this is completely professional I swear! Anyway, let's go to Miia's room!"

By the time they had arrived at Miia's room, Goten had gone to the restroom, and the other girls were in another room. Inside Miia's room was just her, Kimihito, and Kasegi.

"Well, here's my room. Happy now? Said Miia.

"Are you wearing underwear?"

"IS THAT ALL YOU WANT TO KNOW?! YES, I AM, OKAY?!"

"Would you mind showing us?" The man tries to zoom under her skirt only for Miia to move the camera away with her hands, pointing his camera towards a bag of her shed skin.

"What's this?" Asked Kasegi.

Miia panicked and grabbed the bag.

"Is that your molted skin? Why didn't you trash it?" Asked Kimihito.

"I was afraid that if I threw it out, the birds would get into it. That would be way too embarrassing!"

"NO! YOU CAN'T THROW THAT AWAY! A RARE ITEM LIKE THAT WILL DRIVE PEOPLE CRAZY! THE JAPANESE HAVE ALWAYS CONSIDERED SNAKE SKINS AS LUCKY CHARMS. WE BUILT HOLY SHRINES FOR WORSHIPPING SNAKES AS GODS, AND SNAKE SKINS HAVE BEEN USED IN TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINES FOR YEARS! But if you're going to throw away such a valuable artifact, I'll be more than happy to take it off your hands."

"EW FORGET IT! Only a sicko would want to keep someone else's skin!" Exclaimed Miia.

'She does have a point' thought Kimihito.

"All right, then instead of snake lovers, I can give it to a research lab! Maybe they can make scientific discoveries with it."

"You mean it?"

"It might help us understand each other on a deeper level."

"Um, deeper?"

Miia brought her head in closer so Kasegi could whisper something in her ear.

"It might even lead to you getting hitched with Darli-I mean that guy."

Miia thought about it for a second and then was completely convinced. "Well, I guess if it's to better society, I'd be a better person if I said no, now, wouldn't I?" Miia chuckles suspiciously.

"This could be much better. I'd be rolling in cash if I had a video of the molting."

Kimihito barely caught what he said, but before he could react in any way, Mero interrupted him.

"Master, help! It's Papi!" Exclaimed Mero.

A few seconds later, everyone sans Goten came bursting into the room where Papi was.

"I-I think it's coming…" Said Papi.

"Try to relax okay!" Said Kimihito.

"Yeah, use the Lamaze technique! Said Miia who then demonstrated how it was done."

"She won't get enough air that way." Said Mero.

Kasegi then begins filming Papi to get her laying an egg on camera.

"You're filming this too?!" Sai Kimihito.

"Of course! It's all for interspecies exchange! Okay Papi, lift up your skirt for me."

"DUDE! Aren't you taking this too far?"

"Give me a hand and I'll be out of your hair faster, and if we do it fast, I can get enough footage before that bra- I mean kid comes back to interfere with my film."

"Okay, fine." Kimihito awkwardly tries to help Papi. She of course gave him permission, but he tried to help her with her egg as gently as possible.

"Good, now take her panties off. You wanna make the world a better place, right?"

"Oh, come on man!"
"It's okay master…" Said Papi.

"But… Kimihito contemplates doing it before he gives in and begins to gently take off her panties.

'Yes, that's it! Show me a great uncensored egg-laying scene! A Harpy's eggs are so rare I could easily get three million yen from them. And if I package the footage along with it, it will be worth 4, no 5 million yen! These freaks of nature bring in a pretty penny, and there so retarded, they'll believe almost anything!'

The man didn't realize Suu had her tendril attached to his head and was reading his thoughts out loud for everyone to hear.

"Now we're getting to the sexiest part! Man I can't wait to wack off to this thing before I sell it!" Said Suu, still reading Kasegis thoughts.

He screamed as Centorea, Miia, and Mero glared at him.

"So that's what this is all about." Said the Lamia.

"Unity, world peace? How absurd!" Said the blonde centaur.

"You insolent mongrel! How despicable." Said Mero.

"You were just trying to make a quick buck out of us, weren't you?! How dare you!" Said an angry Mia.

"Give us back Miia's skin now!" Said Centorea

"And Surrender the camera," said Mero.

"I'm not afraid of you! You extra species retards can't hurt humans, remember?!

"And this Camera and this bag of skin belong to me! They're mine!"

Suddenly, his camera explodes out of nowhere.

"Oh, you mean that pile of metal and dust?" said a familiar voice.

"AHH, what did you just do?! Do you know how much this camera cost me?! You're a monster, a freak just like the others! What the hell are you even supposed to be pipsqueak?!"

"The kind of freak you should have known not to mess with by now." Said that same familiar voice, who was now revealed to be Goten. Earlier, he had gone to the bathroom because nature calls, but then he noticed something was wrong with his hair, so he had to comb it a bit before coming back. He came back through the door and then heard them talking about Papi's egg. He didn't want to randomly enter as he wasn't sure this was something he should have been seeing. However, he knew Kasegi had bad intentions, so he listened in. The moment he heard him call his new friends retarded and tried to abuse his status as a human, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. It was then that Goten entered and destroyed his camera with an invisible eye blast. "The fact that you think extra species are stupid shows that you have zero self-awareness. You were exposed by one of the extra species you thought were so dumb. What does that say about your intelligence?"

"What's that supposed to mean you ru-!"

The man was interrupted by Kimihito. "You wanted an egg didn't you?!" He throws an egg into the air.

"No, my precious three million yen!" the man yelled in terror.

Kimihito punched the egg and smashed his face in. "If you want eggs, go down to the damn supermarket and buy some yourself!"

This action caused the girls to look at Kimihito with lovey-dovey eyes. As for Goten, he had a newfound respect for the man who took him in. Sure, he knew he was a good guy, in fact, he thought he was too good of a guy, the kind of guy that would let everyone push him around no matter who it was. However, he saw then and there that Kimihito was willing to put his foot down when the time called for it. The girls for the most part already knew this due to their experiences with the man. He felt like he could trust him with his secret, but he'd only tell him since he was the owner of the house and he deserved to know the most. Maybe one day, he'd tell the girls but for now, one person at a time was his strategy.

"Wait did you just smash Papi's egg?" Asked Miia.

"Of course not, that was just a regular egg I picked up when shopping today."

The girls complimented him and then he turned to Suu. "You did good too Suu.

"Yeah, I had no idea you could do that." Said Miia.

"A slime that can read minds." Said Centorea

'Yikes, I should probably avoid her for a bit if I want to keep my secrets a little longer!' Thought Goten.

Eventually, Mero called everyone as Papi began to lay the real egg, and through tons of push and encouragement, she got it out.

Later…

Everyone was at the dinner table except Miia who was cooking something. Goten was just sitting at his seat quietly thinking to himself. He wasn't going to say anything while Ms. Smith was here. She didn't seem like a bad person, but at the end of the day, she did work for the government, and would probably have to report about his species if she found out.

"So, what will we do with Papi's egg?" Asked Cerea

"Yes, I wasn't aware such a thing was so valuable. How perplexing." Said Mero.

"Well, what do you think Ms. Smith?" Asked Kimihito.

"Don't ask me, you know I don't get paid enough to get involved in this." She walked closer. "Oh, by the way, darling. About that director. His name and address were both fake, but his MO was sophisticated so he could possibly be a repeat offender. I'll investigate it.

"Uh huh."
"Well anyway, what are we having for dinner tonight!" She said.

"Actually Miia's cooking, so join at your own risk!" He turned to Papi who was hugging him. "By the way, where's your egg?

"It's in the fridge." She said happily.

"That's a silly place for it. What if someone mistakes it for a- "Then the realization hit him. The same realization came to everyone else except Miia causing them to groan in disgust.

"I hope everyone likes boiled eggs!"

On that same night, before Ms. Smith left, Goten asked her a question.

"Wait Ms. Smith, before you go, I have to ask one question."

"Yes, Goten?"

"How would society react to aliens. I know this is a silly and random question but it's important for future reasons."

"My my, and what may those reasons be?"

"Let's just say, I may know someone who may or may not be an alien," Goten said awkwardly.

"Well in the case they were indeed an extraterrestrial species, and assuming they were a peaceful species looking to live peacefully on earth, they would be thoroughly investigated of course, but with the cultural exchange bill, they would likely be treated as another extra species."

"And what if this species happened to also be half-human?"

"The same would apply. After all, many species require humans to reproduce."
"Wait, I thought liminals and humans weren't allowed to have relations with humans."

"Oh, did I say that? while it is true that the Cultural Exchange Bill does prevent sexual relationships between humans and non-humans, we're working on incorporating marriage between humans and liminal which is a progress that Darling is a part of. As for species that require humans, one practice that we have is sending a willing human to that species' homeland to have children with the inhabitants."

"Hey, isn't that a bit excessive? I mean, there has got to be a better way to go about that."

"Oh, that particular species used to kidnap men where they would be taken to their homeland and forced to participate in orgies where the victim would usually end up dead. Of course, our government didn't take too kindly to this, so we made a deal with that species. Well anyway, we currently do not have any laws regarding aliens for the cultural exchange bill, but if any solid proof of their existence came to light, then I'm sure it could be arranged." Said Ms. Smith.

"Oh, the alien will come out when he's comfortable."

"We'll all right then. If that's all, I'll see you another day." Said Smith as she left through the door.

"Hey, Goten, what was that about? Aliens? What do you mean by that." Said Kimihito

"I'll explain everything to you, but only in private."

"Sure, thing bud. Kimihito turned to the girls. "I'll be right back soon." Said Kimihito.

Shortly after, Goten and Kimihito were now in a room with no one else present.

"So Kimihito, you can keep a secret right?"
"Hmm? Yeah, I can."

"That's reassuring to hear. So, first things first. You know I wouldn't hurt an innocent person, right?"

"Of course! Why would you even ask that?" He was officially concerned.

"Well, the truth is, I haven't been completely honest with you. About what I am, I mean."

"Goten, it's okay. I'm sure you had your reasons. Besides, the girls and I all had our suspicions when you started flying with Papi. That stuff you said about energy was a bit too good to be true." Kimihito had no real reason to immediately believe Goten about the ki thing he heard of. Surely if this was something anyone could do, there would be at least someone else capable of doing what Goten did. That also didn't explain how he could fly. He decided to humor Goten and on the off chance that Goten was right, he didn't want anyone taking advantage of the young man so he warned him.

"Oh, everything I said about humans having that same energy is still true. The guy I was talking about the other day can his energy like I can now. I'm specifically talking about my heritage. You see… I didn't lie when I said I was human per se but… I didn't mention my other race."

"Dude it's okay. I am a bit confused about why you decided to hide that from us, but at the end of the day, it's not my business anyway. You don't have to do or say anything you're not comfortable with Goten."

"That's refreshing to hear, but no. I need to talk to someone about this and you're the best person I can turn to this for. So, about that alien that I mentioned… I was kind of talking about myself."

"What? You're saying you're the alien? Well, you are from a different universe, so I guess that makes sense. Oh, did Ms. Smith not explain your status? That woman can be so irresponsible sometimes…" Said Kimihito.

"That's not what I meant. Even back home, on my Earth, no one outside of my family's main group of friends really knows about aliens and though my mom was one hundred percent a human, my dad was an alien. Specifically, a member of a warrior race known as the Saiyans. They're pretty much identical to humans except they're stronger, more durable, and were born with tails."

"Okay, that's pretty interesting. Why don't you have a tail though?" Kimihito asked curiously.

"I actually don't know. My brother and dad had tails, but they were removed. I just wasn't born with one."

"Geez, that sounds really painful. I hope they were still able to live normal lives." Said Kimihito not knowing the relevance of a Saiyans tail.

"Don't feel bad. It's a good thing that they lost their tails."

"What?! How could you say that?! They were your family!"

"A Saiyan tail causes them to turn into giant apes that go on a rampage destroying everything in their path when they look at a full moon. My dad experienced a very tragic incident not knowing he caused it for his entire childhood because of his tail." Goten said sadly.

"Oh, in that case. I'm sorry I lashed out. My condolences towards your father."

"Oh, it's all right. My dad was raised by his adoptive grandfather, Gohan who taught him martial arts. As a baby, my dad was aggressive, but then he hit his head when he fell down a deep ravine, one that should have killed an adult human let alone a baby. Ever since then, my dad grew up as a very kind person and both my older brother and I were raised in his values. So long story short, I am part alien, but socially, I'm still human." Said Goten.

"I see." Said Kimihito as he absorbed the information.

"I guess this doesn't explain a lot about the Saiyans as a whole, or why I hide this fact from everyone so let me get into it… I want to start off by telling you why I ended up in this world in the first place. You see, the truth is I was attacked by someone out of revenge against the Saiyans."

"Is that why you were so injured when you first appeared?" Kimihito asked.

To his question, Goten simply nodded. "I may be a Saiyan, but I barely know a thing about my own species. All I know is the Saiyans were a warrior race and they did a lot of bad things. Things that were so bad that even in this world, people would fear me, maybe enough to try to get rid of me completely. You're probably thinking 'Oh, it can't be that bad. No species is 100% innocent' but the Saiyans are responsible for the extinction of entire races, and I'm not talking about a small number of races either. Maybe I'm being paranoid, and this isn't something I would be that worried about in my world, but here is a different story. Being a different species is such a big deal here, but where I grew up, it wasn't. I mean, we have a green alien picking up my niece from daycare, and no one bats an eye."

"Goten… Look, I may not know anything about your race or their crimes, but whatever it is the Saiyans did, it doesn't justify someone trying to hurt people who had nothing to do with it. You're your own person and you shouldn't feel guilty for what other people that happened to be a part of your species did!"

"I agree completely, and I really don't feel any personal guilt about that. Don't get me wrong, I do feel bad for all the Saiyan's victims, but I wasn't even born during that time, so why should I feel guilty about it? Not everyone sees it that way though. This person was like a humanoid parasite. He said he was going to use my body to kill the other remaining Saiyans."

"Remaining?" Asked a concerned Kimihito.

"Something I didn't mention is that Saiyans are rare, even back in my universe. There's only around nine living Saiyans, and most of us are Saiyan-human hybrids who were all born after the destruction of their planet."

Kimihito was silent for a bit before he started talking again. "…What do you mean by the destruction of their planet?" he asked fearfully.

'Yeah, definitely not telling him Saiyans destroyed planets.' Goten thought. "I mean what I said. their planet was literally destroyed as in it's completely gone without a trace. According to my brother, a really bad guy who enslaved the Saiyans feared that one Saiyan would achieve a legendary form and finally defeat him, so he destroyed their entire planet. There were a few survivors, and my dad was one of them. A few of the other survivors however died later down the line including my uncle."

"Oh, I'm sorry Goten."

"Don't be. He wasn't a good person. When my brother was four, he kidnapped him and tried to make my dad complete his original mission which was slaughtering everyone on Earth. My dad teamed up with his archnemesis at the time and confronted him. After realizing my dad wasn't going to join him, he tried to kill him. He brought what happened to him on himself."

Kimihito didn't know what to say. On one hand that was his uncle, a member of his family who died. On the other hand, he was a genocidal maniac from what Goten told him. Kimihito decided not to make a comment on this allowing Goten to continue his story. "So, here's how I ended up in this world. Not too long ago, I was on a field trip and a guy by the name of Dr. Hedo was showing off his new inventions, and one of those inventions was a machine that could transport any object to another dimension. It was incomplete so the objects could have ended up anywhere. Space, a random planet, a black hole, anywhere. Anyway, in the middle of that field trip, a bunch of people broke through the wall, and I was attacked. It turned out that all of this was done by one person. The guy who attacked me called himself Borshi? Or was it Buruki? No… Well, his name doesn't matter right now. The point is, he said he was the last member of his race called the Tuffle, and was now on Earth to not just exact vengeance on us Saiyans, but to wipe out other races that he believed were too dangerous to be allowed to live."

"That's insane! No one gets to decide that!"

"That's what I said! I tried to fight back, but he was stronger than me. He turned into this weird gray goo and tried to go inside me to take over my body and he almost did too! I thought I was a goner! I was bruised, beaten, and it looked like for once, there was no one to rely on, but then I was saved by Gamma 1, an Android who was much stronger than the guy who attacked me. Sadly, the parasite guy had something else up his gross sleeves. I don't really understand what happened, but a giant spaceship came out of nowhere and shot a giant green laser at Gamma 1, and the pressure alone was so strong, that I ended up being sent flying into the Machine that was still turned on. The next thing I knew I was sent crashing down into the Earth. Specifically, your Earth."

"Goten, I'm sorry. I will support you however I can! If you need anything, you name it! God, your family must be worried sick about you!"

"Oh, you don't know the half of it. I bet my mom probably tried to enter the machine herself only to be stopped by employees from that company." Goten chuckled, but Kimihito noticed as his laughter died, he seemed pretty sad. "I hope everyone's doing all right. I wish I could at least talk to them and tell them that I'm doing okay. Things honestly could have been much worse. I could have ended up somewhere other than Earth like space or a planet without any food." Goten shivered at the idea of starving to death. "Honestly, thank you for making my time here enjoyable."

"Listen Goten, you have my word that I won't tell a soul! If for whatever reason, what you told me becomes public knowledge, I will be on your side!"

"Wait really? Even after finding out what my people did to another race?"

"Yeah, it's like you said. You had nothing to do with the genocide committed by your species. I admit that hearing about what you told me is terrifying and sad, but it isn't your fault! Whoever it was who attacked you was in the wrong, not you."

"Wow, Kimihito. You're the best!"

"Anytime Goten. I'm glad you're feeling comfortable enough to talk about this at all."

"Kimihito smiled knowing Goten was feeling a little better. They were both glad they had this talk.

Meanwhile at Kasegi's house.

"Those damn kids! They ruined everything! And I especially hate that insufferable pet!"

I better collect some more thread before I go broke!" Said Kasegi.

"Somebody's busy. Shall I lend a hand?" Said a woman with the lower body of a spider.

"Shut your mouth! Don't get cocky just because I can make a few bucks on your thread! And stop spinning your webs all over the place! Can't you just keep them in one place?!"

"Oh, in one place? You mean like this?"

The spider lady did as he said and put all her webs in one place with him trapped inside of them. "To throw away three million yen like that… He must be a kind person… with something vile hiding inside… how disgusting… I might be interested in this…"

Now that this chapter is done, I want to make something clear. This isn't a Goten x Harem story. Sure, multiple girls will fall for him and/or want his children, but at the end of the day, Goten would only ever settle down with one woman. Also, not every girl will fall for him either, and just because a girl may like Goten doesn't mean he likes them in that way. I just can't imagine Goten being in a real harem knowing Chi-Chi was the one who raised him, and I'd doubt he'd want that life for himself. Speaking of Chi-Chi, I think she's a character that gets a lot of unnecessary hate in general. Sure, I can get that she can be a bit crazy and unreasonable at times, but at the end of the day, she mostly acts like how a mother would in her situation with some questionable moments. People blame her for ruining Gohan, but the reality is that was that Gohan never changed. The nerdy guy we see Gohan as now was always who Gohan aspired to be. SS2 Gohan from the Cell Saga wasn't Gohan's normal personality, it was the result of a child with more potential than anyone else finally being pushed to his breaking point. If it was Chi Chi who made Gohan stop training, then who's stopping him now? He hasn't even lived with her in a long time and if he wanted to be like Goku, he would have. Anyway, sorry if I rambled too much. For the time being, Goten doesn't want to be in a serious romantic relationship in this world, but things can change due to something that will happen later in the story. The romance tag isn't there for show.
