Chapter 5: An Old Acquaintance?
Today was Saturday meaning there was no school today. However, the day itself was anything but peaceful. There was yet another case of liminal using loopholes in the system to get away with crime. Somewhere in the city, the sound of bullets echoed through a doujin shop. As it would turn out, a bunch of orcs were shooting up the place. Police were unable to do anything as that would violate the law. Zombina was waiting above the ceiling, however the leader of the Orcs was able to smell her and shot the ceiling.
"Hey, looks like we got convo boys!"
"She's like a cool ninja babe!"
"She's pretty cute huh?"
"How did you know I was up there?" Said Zombina as she was bleeding out.
"I can smell ya. Orcs can smell anything within over a half mile radius, especially a hot girl like you. That's why the police can't get close to stop us!"
Zombina coughs up blood. "So you handsome fellas like my perfume?"
"Damn right, we do!" The orc boss throws Zombina to the ground and aims the gun against her bosom. "I don't like girls with nasty mouths!" The orc takes out his phone. "Hey is this the police! Listen we ju-" The orc didn't get to finish his sentence as something traveling at high speeds hit him in the stomach, knocking him against the wall, creating a cloud of smoke aswell as causing his gun to fly into the air.
"Boss, are you okay?!" Said one of the grunts to his now unconscious boss.
"What the hell was that?!"
The thing that hit the boss revealed itself to be a person in a suit.
"Who the hell is this lame-o?" Said one of the grunts
"Allow me to introduce myself. Now traveling on my lonesome, cleaning up whatever trash I can find, I am the Great Saiyaman X2, a cleanup hero!" Saiyaman X2 strikes a pose in his suit causing everyone to sweatdrop including Zombina who was playing possum at the moment. He made a few upgrades sense to his new outfit to better conceal his identity. Though he still had the turban to hide his hair, he also wore a black mask. It didn't look good to him, but style could wait for now." He didn't add much to new his new outfit except for a black mask to hide his face.
"You don't know what you're messing with, you'll pay for what you did to our boss!"
"Wait what do you think you're doing!" Yelled Zombina.
Multiple orcs used their guns against Goten however, he managed to catch all of the bullets. He balled up his fist and used his other hand to take a mini trash bag out of his pocket, and then put the destroyed bullets in the bag. "What a pain, I can't throw these in a normal garbage. Well, I guess your guns will add to the pile.
"What the hell is this kid! Well, it doesn't matter how strong you are, we got hostages! What are you going to do now hotshot!"
"You know, that would be a lot more threatening if you had working guns."
"Oh, you think we're bluffing, don't you? Well, I got news for ya pal!" Said one of the grunts. He tried to aim at the hostages but then he realized he was no longer holding a gun, but a pile of rust that used to be his gun. "Guys, my gun is gone! Someone, shoot one of the hostages to show him we mean business!"
"Our guns are gone too!" Said the rest of the orcs. The superhero had vanished and began to take out all of his comrades with a single punch. A random girl who wasn't being held hostage was seen by the orc standing near the hostages and grabbed the girl. As it would turn out, after the orc had boasted that he had hostages, Goten had used an invisible eye blast to destroy their guns.
"You destroyed our guns, but it doesn't matter! Our strength is enough to kill a fully grown human let alone a small girl like her! So, if ya know what's good for you and the girl you'll high tail it outta here right now! Besides, even if you could save her, it's not like you could hurt liminals like us, right? Tell you what. If you leave us alone, we won't press charges. See, we can be nice guys!" The orc turns to the girl he was holding. "Isn't that, right?" He begins licking her face.
Goten quickly punched the air in his stomach sending him back and causing him to drop the girl. Goten quickly flies over and picks up the girl bridal style and stands her up on the ground before walking over to the orc again.
"Hey, weren't you listening pal! Humans can't hurt liminals, it's against the law remember!"
"say what you will villain! You will be brought to justice even if the law must be broken. Besides… Who said I was human?" Goten said before kicking him in the gut, which knocked him out.
The entirety of Mon looked on in shock at what had just happened. Some random kid in a trashy superhero outfit appeared out of nowhere and ruined their entire operation. Whether or not he was human, he still broke some laws regardless of the meaning he'd have to be apprehended.
Goten struck another pose. "Cleanup complete! Goten untied the hostages. He could have done this beforehand, but he figured it would be easier if everyone was in one spot to ensure their safety.
"Thank you, sir! What is your name?" Said a male civilian.
"I am the Great Saiyaman! X2 to be precise! Now that evil has been cleaned up, it's time to get to the real trash!" To the surprise of everyone, instead of fleeing the scene, Goten took a random broom that was sitting around and began sweeping. As he was sweeping, an armored knight hugged him from behind.
"Sorry, but you're going to have to come with us. Please don't resist."
"Good Tio! Keep him there!" Said Zombina
This was something Goten was not looking forward to. Sure, he knew the risks, but that didn't mean he had to like them. He was completely aware of the law and knew he was technically a criminal in this case, but Goten truly believed he was right in this case. "Hey, I'm the good guy here! Look, I know what I did is technically illegal, but hear me out! The police couldn't do anything, and there was no way of knowing you would be here. I'm sure you could have handled these guys, but you can't be everywhere at once!
Ms. Smith appeared from behind a shelf. "You may have meant well, but you still committed a multitude of crimes. We don't know what you are, but if you're a human, then you will be punished severely. You have committed vigilantism, reckless endangerment, and if you're a human, then we could add hurting a liminal to your list of charges."
"Hey, are we forgetting that evildoer lying over there had one of your Co-workers at gunpoint? I know she was a zombie and not in any real danger but I can't imagine it would be comfortable to live with holes in her body."
"Actually, even if she was shot, she would have regenerated her wounds."
"She can do that?! That's seriously awesome!" Goten knew Zombina could separate her body parts and still be fine, but he didn't know she had regeneration.
Zombina smiled at the praise.
"Be that as it may, you have still violated the interspecies exchange bill. Even if your actions were heroic, we still have a job to do." Smith replied.
"Yeah, well the laws suck! Sorry, Tio, this is going to be a wild ride."
'Wait how does he know my nickname?' Thought Tionishiia. Before she knew it, she was flying around the store as she held onto Saiyaman X2. Being an Ogre, she wasn't used to being carried around like this.
"Please stop moving!"
"Sorry, no can do." Said Goten as Tio continued to hang on to the flying superhero. 'Hm… How should I deal with her? Pushing her away is no way to treat a lady and I don't want to hurt her… Hmm…" A lightbulb hovered over Gotens head. "I know!" As he was flying, Goten suddenly disappeared but before she could even begin to fall, appeared below her and prince carried her before slowly descending to the ground and letting her down gently."
"Sorry about that ma'am. I hope you can forgive me for my transgressions." He gave her an apologetic bow before doing a series of backflips to distance himself away from M.O.N.
"You're such a gentleman! It's such a shame we still have to apprehend you. If you just come with us, I'm sure they'll go easy on you."
"Sorry, but I cannot afford to do that. You'd probably reveal my identity, and I'd rather not have that revealed."
"You should have thought of that before you screwed up the operation! Now get over here so I can rip that mask off!" Zombina rushes over and attempts to punch Saiyaman X2, but he blocks all her punches with his hands. "Chill out Miss Zombina, we can talk about this can't we?"
"Zombina, don't attack him! We don't know what species he is." Said Smith.
"Oh, come on! There's no way this guy is human! You saw how he carried Tio around like it was nothing!"
"Hey, I'm not THAT heavy!" The Ogre whined
"Now girls, this is unbecoming of a team and I'll have you know that I am in fact, human… Well partially anyway."
"We'll confirm that after you come with us to HQ." Said Smith.
"Will you at least hear me out before you do anything else?"
"You can speak, but make it quick." Said the coordinator.
'Something's odd… Well, whatever' Goten thought. "If you'll allow me, I'll speak to you just this once, not as Saiyaman X2, but as a fellow person." Goten didn't drop his Superhero voice, but his tone was a lot more serious. I'm not doing this for attention or to gain anything out of doing this and if I'm being completely honest, I'm no better than you or anyone else for that matter. People shouldn't have to wait for someone like me or you to protect them when they have the means to protect themselves and their loved ones. Are people just supposed to let evil linger when they have the power to stop it? It's not like the police are any help either since the bill still applies to them. I may be a criminal, but I made myself one for the people. Maybe you did have this covered, and if you did, you have my most sincere apology. I regret interrupting your operation, but I don't regret beating those guys up. I know I don't have the right to take justice into my own hands, but when the police who are supposed to be enforcers of justice can't do their job, then who else can the people rely on? I don't know how common situations like this are, but you must admit that four people alone isn't enough."
"You make an interesting case, but the law is still the law. They may be a bit unreasonable, but they help link all extra species together and allow us to protect them and your actions violated that link. This is your last chance to surrender peacefully." Said Smith.
"I see. That's all fine and dandy. Protecting extra species and their relationship with humanity is an admirable goal. However, these laws undermine the rights of both humans and liminals to protect themselves. If anything, I'd argue that this law does more harm than good. What are people going to think when they see law enforcement bowing down before an extra species criminal because of this law? Do you think that will improve relationships?"
"I see… Well, you do have a point. Well, my job isn't to make the laws, I'm simply an enforcer. We can look over the consequences of the bill later, but for now you need to go with us." The Coordinator replied.
Suddenly the same girl who was held by the ogres hugged Goten from behind. "Thank you so much, mister!"
Goten returned to acting like a Superhero. "It was no problem ma'am. Look, I gotta go. I wish I could stay to clean up a bit, but it looks like things are about to get busy, so I'll be going now."
"Wait, I have one thing to tell you before you go, Mister."
"Okay fine, but after this I'm really gone."
"YOU'VE. BEEN. DUPED! Oh, and by the way, there's five of us, not four!"
A bullet came flying at Saiyaman X2 but he simply caught the bullet with two fingers.
The girl morphs into her true form which is revealed to be Doppel.
"Okay, that was rude." Said X2
"Damn, it didn't work! Just what is this guy?!" Said Doppel.
"If it's okay with you, can I go now? We wasted enough time here, and I don't want to miss dinner." Said Saiyaman X2.
"Hold on, you aren't getting away!" Yelled Zombina. She wasn't going to use her gun seeing as this caped weirdo was clearly bulletproof and her bullets were rubber anyway. Those orcs used real bullets meant for lethal force and yet whoever this clown had caught them like they were nothing.
"Sorry! I'm sure we'll meet again and hopefully on better terms!" Goten began floating in the air as he waved to Mon. He was prepared to fly away out of the door when he noticed something. A blonde-haired teen in a superhero costume appeared, and a ball of energy appeared from his hand, and he aimed it towards one of the unconscious orcs.
Suddenly there was another crash in the building. A blond-haired teen in a suit came crashing into the building similar to Saiyaman X2. He quietely walked up to the orcs as energy enveloped his hand. He was about to execute the unconscious orcs with an energy wave.
"WAIT!" Goten yelled as he disappeared away from where he was standing to lift up the other guys hand causing him to fire the beam through the ceiling. Luckily, no one was hurt by this.
"Seriously?! Another one!" Yelled Zombina.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me." Ms. Smith facepalmed. She was now extremely frustrated, and her face showed it.
"They're down! They're not a threat to anyone anymore! You don't need to kill them!" Yelled Saiyaman X2.
"Oh, spare me. People like this thrive because people like you have a moronic policy against killing. The justice system will fail you time and time again. Criminals will be let off the hook, they will be let out of prison to commit more crimes and more innocent people will suffer. It's better to eliminate them now, and permanently." Said Beta 1.
"They're getting deported anyway! And when they go back to where they're from, they're definitely not going to be popular for what they did. Look, people are evil, but evil people can change! No one has to die today!"
"Say what you will, but you're just another criminal! That's why you were about to be arrested, was it not? Well regardless of why, getting in the way of the master's justice is more than enough reason to remove you from this plane of existence!" Beta 1 pulled out a gun whose design was unlike anything seen on Earth. It appeared very technologically advanced. Goten recognized this as a blaster, not too dissimilar from the ones both of the Gammas used in their fight against Cell Max. A giant beam completely swallowed Goten's body and burned holes through multiple buildings. Fortunately, no one aside from Goten was hit by the blast.
"H-He killed him. And he did it like it was nothing at that!" said a surprised Smith. The guy who showed up and effortlessly defeated the orcs and made a joke out of her team just got vaporized right in front of her and something told her this new guy wasn't as jovial.
"He may have been a pain, but he didn't deserve that! Alright, pal, you're dealing with us now! Yelled Zombina.
"Bina, wait!" Yelled Doppel as Zombina began firing at him. Here bullets did nothing and he turned his head towards her.
"Hmph, what a pest." The beam that was still being shot by the blond kid exploded causing a massive cloud of smoke much larger than the one made by X2. The kid walked towards Zombina and punched her in the face, sending her crashing through the wall. "You work for the government, so I have no intention of ending your lives. But if you interfere with my mission again, I won't be merciful."
The 'Superhero' was shot in the back by Manako, but his body was too durable.
"No, this can't be!" She said from the building she sniped him from.
Ms. Smith was at a loss. She had got reports of people like him kidnapping not just liminals, but humans too. People who seemed pretty much invincible and seemed to carry technology way above any human civilization. This wasn't just in Japan either. Many other countries dealt with these types of people too, but nobody knew where they came from as they would always vanish without a trace after taking someone who was usually involved in shady business. However, these beings would also occasionally kidnap upstanding citizens and liminals alike. They were so durable that not even the strongest of nonhumans could even scratch them. When she found out about Goten, she thought there was a chance he could be one of them in the back of her mind, but tests came back as completely human, and he didn't have any kind of advanced technology on him except for a unique type of phone. This guy seemed human enough. M.O.N was not permitted to use lethal force here, but that wouldn't have helped anyway. Whoever this kid-no whatever this thing was, he just easily vaporized the same guy who not only easily caught bullets in his hands but could carry Tionishia like she was nothing. They weren't aware of him destroying the Orcs' guns before anyone could perceive anything, but they did know he was extremely fast. Ms. Smith never expected to come across one of these beings on this day.
Zombina came through the wall. "Look what you did! You broke my grafts! Oh, that does it! You're dead!" She attempts to punch the kid in the suit, but he blocks it. "Please, even if you were as strong as me, you can't kill someone who's already dead. Even if you somehow manage to incapacitate me, with the doctors' technology, I will always come back."
"You a zombie?" Said Zombina.
"Yes, and one far superior to you. I became one not long after I died, but the Doctor found my corpse and used his technology to bring me back to life. I owe him everything! I will help him create the world he intends to create! A world without crime! His dream is my dream! The entire world will know the brilliance of my master!"
"Oh, great he's a nutcase." Doppel rolled her eyes. "Are you seriously going to talk about a world without crime when you just committed multiple? You literally just murdered someone and probably more people with that stunt!" Said Doppel.
"My data shows that there were no civilian casualties. I will be taking my leave now."
Zombina ran up to him and punched him in the face in an attempt to overwhelm him with her physical strength. "If you're a zombie too, then there's no problem with me kicking your ass!"
"Hmph, you call that a punch?" the Superhero grabbed her wrist, made her hit herself in the face, then proceeded to backhand her onto the ground. He then got out his blaster.
"You're just like that other evildoer I just disposed of! Don't worry, I won't destroy you completely, but you can say goodbye to your limbs!"
"No! Zombina, get out of there!"
Tio bear hugged Beta 1 from behind.
"Oh please, you think this will work?" He elbowed her in the stomach, knocking her out cold."
"Why you… I'M GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS SO HARD YOU'LL WISH YOU WERE DOUBLE DEAD!" Zombina began firing at the other Zombie, but he didn't even flinch.
"Oh, I apologize for the interruptions. Rest assured; I have not forgotten to vaporize your disgusting limbs." He pulled out his blaster and prepared to fire at Zombina, but his blaster was grabbed out of his hand by Saiyaman X2."
"You know, it's not nice to shoot someone in the middle of a conversation. That really hurt man."
"Oh, so you survived. I was getting tired of these weaklings anyway. Of course, you're weak too but I suppose you'd be more of a challenge considering you survived."
"You think you can sully the name of justice? I will never fall to the likes of a villain such as yourself!"
"You're right. Justice never dies, but my master is justice! Therefore, justice is on my side not yours!"
"Someone who's willing to murder someone over a simple disagreement is no champion of justice. I shall cleanse your filthy heart!" Saiyaman X2 tosses the gun aside and attempts to destroy it with a ki blast. However, Beta 1 punches him in the face before he even has a chance which sent him flying back. However, as he flew back, Goten did a backflip and spun his legs around as if he were getting ready to start breakdancing and shot two ki blasts at the android. The android swatted both of them away but was not prepared for Goten to disappear and do a dive kick against his head, knocking his face to the ground. "Not so tough without your little toy, are you villain?" X2 exclaimed.
"Don't be cocky! Who said, I needed a weapon to deal with you? As he sits on the ground Beta 1 spreads out his fingertips and fires a bunch of energy bullets at Goten. Goten flies away from his line of fire as Beta 1 stands in place while trying to hit him. As Goten dodges, the bullets create many holes within the building's walls, traveling through the other buildings that were connected to the Doujin shop they were fighting. Goten then flies up to Beta 1 and goes in for a punch, but Beta 1 counters with his own. Both fighters attack each other with a flurry of punches and kicks. Eventually, they both punch each other in the face.
'This guy's tough! He's probably as strong as me!' Goten thought. He then noticed something. 'Wait, this guy looks awfully familiar. Hmm, where did I meet this guy…' Beta 1s suit was different. It was like his old outfit, but it had darker colors, and the overall design was a lot edgier. His cape was black, and though Beta 1 was plastered on his outfit, the dark colors made it very hard to see. Goten didn't know Beta 1 that well, especially since he was in Trunk's class. After he got arrested around 9 months ago, Goten didn't hear much from him and he left his memory.
Beta 1 had similar thoughts. 'Who is this? Why is he comparable to me in strength?' Beta 1 fired a green energy wave, and Goten countered with his own, causing a beam struggle, and one that Goten lost which sent him flying through multiple different stores. Beta 1 began walking towards the holes created by Saiyaman X2's body. However, as he began walking towards the hole created by Gotens' body, he was shot, and what's more, he actually took damage.
It was Zombina carrying his blaster. As it would turn out, the weapon was strong no matter who was holding it. "That's payback for earlier! You know the saying! If you can't beat 'em, steal their weapons!"
"You still insist on interrupting our justice? Very well, I'll make an example out of you!" The android yelled before flying in the direction of Zombina, Goten flew up to him and kicked him away.
"You're fighting me!" Goten yelled.
As the Android was getting up, he was shot by Manako. The bullet didn't do anything, but it certainly made him angry. To him, it was as if someone pushed him on the ground, and someone added insult to injury by throwing a paper ball at him. He took this as a major sign of disrespect. He attempted to punch Goten, and he countered with his own. They continued matching blow for blow until the Android got a good hit in on Goten, and fired a gigantic ball of energy. Goten catches the ball of energy with both his hands, but Beta 1 punches through it, absorbs the energy ball, and hits Saiyaman X2 with a powerful energy punch. Fortunately for Goten, he was able to block it in time, so I didn't take as much damage. Still, it caused an explosion. The explosion itself was small, but it created a shockwave strong enough to greatly damage the building to the point that pieces of the ceiling began falling. Right after this punch, Beta 1 began flying toward Manako. He'd come back to finish off Goten later.
"Hey, get your ass back here! …Damn it, he got away!" Zombina shouted.
a large chunk of ceiling began falling and it almost crushed Zombina.
"Watch out!" Saiyaman X2 picked up the falling debris and tossed it aside. He then took this moment to get everyone out of the collapsing building. "That should be everyone. Now where did he go?"
"Why should we tell you?! Don't think we're letting you off easy!" Said Zombina. The collapsing building wouldn't have killed her, but she was grateful he saved her team. She wasn't going to say that now though.
"Please tell me! I promise I'll deal with him."
"Oh, he went through the window." Said Tio who at some point, managed to get back up. Beta 1 didn't use a lot of force against her, so she managed to recover rather quickly.
"Thank you!" Goten flew in that direction.
"Why would you tell him that Tio?! Said Doppel.
"He was really nice about it, and I didn't know he'd get away that easily!" She defended.
"Girls, I think that other person went after Manako." Said Smith.
"Please, as if he could reach her in time. She's miles away, there's no way he could find her." Doppel replied.
Smith was about to say something until she heard Manako screaming through her communicator.
"NO, I'M SORRY! PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" She said as she noticed the same Android flying straight towards her. He flew so fast; that she wasn't even able to pull the trigger in time.
"Allow me to show you JUST HOW INSIGNIFICANT YOU ARE!" The android fired an energy wave at the Monoeye. The member of M.O.N saw her life flash before her eyes and braced herself for the end. She was hoping that her death would at least be a painless one, but that wasn't the case. That was because her death didn't come. The same person they were originally trying to capture appeared in front of her and slapped the energy blast away in a random direction. The android was fast, but Goten was much faster, and now he was no longer fighting as a superhero, but as Son Goten, the martial artist.
"You can attack me all you want, but I won't let you get away with trying to harm the innocent!"
"Do you think you scare me?" Said the android as he attempted to punch Goten in the face. The Saiyan tilted his head slightly, dodging the blow, and followed up by kicking him in the side before flying down to Manako.
"Hey, you should get out of here. I'll help you get down if you want. It's dangerous, around here."
"Thank you, but I will be fine. Wait, why are you helping me?!"
"Because it's the right thing to do? I'll take care of this guy, I promise. Stay safe, okay?"
"Wait!" Said Manako, but it was too late, he was gone.
The android saw Goten flying towards him and blocked his punch. However, the Saiyan Superhero followed up with a kick that the Android wasn't prepared for, knocking him away.
"You're strong, probably about as strong as me. But you don't know a thing about martial arts, do you? That will be your downfall."
The android grits his teeth and fires a barrage of ki blasts which Goten counters with his own. Neither the Saiyan or the Android were able to overwhelm the other. They began grasping each other's hands. Now that their hands were occupied, they tried to hit each other with their knees but only continued to clash. Beta 1 finally decided to pull Goten in closer to him to headbutt the Saiyan before punching him again, sending the Saiyan back. Goten then flew right into Beta 1's abdomen with a punch surrounded by a mini tornado. "Cyclone Style! Tornado Hurricane! The punch sent Beta 1 spinning through the air and eventually curving down, crashing into an empty alleyway. Goten followed in hot pursuit and landed in front of him after the crash. The android was very injured by that blow.
"It's over. You've been defeated. Never try to hurt innocent people ever again."
"You've done well to push me this far evildoer, but you haven't won yet! Meet Beta 2, my battle jacket android!" Beta 1 presses his belt, and a cloud envelops him. When the smoke cleared, he was piloting a battle jacket android.
"Wait a minute, I remember now! You're that Beytah guy in Trunks' class who got arrested that one time!" Being a grade below him, Goten didn't see him too much and they weren't exactly friends either. His only real experience with the android was the time he was attacked by him after he picked up a car. After he got arrested, Goten never heard from him again for 9 whole months until now, so it was only natural he forgot about him. Still, it wasn't a surprise to the teenage Saiyan that he'd be here considering Dr. Hedo works for Bulma now.
"Likely story. You're hoping I'll spare you. Well too bad!"
"It's me Goten! Remember? You thought I stole Dr. Hedo's discs, so you attacked me at school, got beaten by Trunks, then got suspended? Does that ring any bells?"
"What are you on about? How do you know the Doctor?!" Beta 1 exclaimed.
"Beta 1, stop what you're doing this instant! What were you thinking, almost killing innocent people for doing their job?! You're only supposed to eliminate criminals! Are you trying to make more enemies than we already have? When you get back to headquarters, you will be punished accordingly!" Said his transmitter that only he could hear.
"I'm sorry sir! It won't happen again!"
"Not only did you nearly kill innocent people, but failed to execute the criminals! Our goal is to rid the world of villains, not become villains ourselves! Those girls don't have a choice but to enforce the current order. They aren't aware of the new order we're going to establish."
Goten noticed a guilty look on the Android's face. He wondered what made him so upset.
"That said, you still have a purpose here. That guy you just fought seems to know too much. Normally, I'd be forced to commit a necessary evil and have him killed. However, he can be the key to the little red problem we have going on. From now on, I need you to observe him. Find out as much as you can about him! That is your new mission!"
"Aye, sir!"
"Who are you talking to?"
"None of your concern! "I'll be leaving now. But I will be back!" And with that, Beta 1 was enveloped in some kind of light and vanished and because Goten couldn't sense his Ki, he didn't know what to expect."
Manako had seen the whole thing unfold until Goten used that cyclone attack against the Android and followed him. As good as her perception was, she could barely process the two fighting at the speed that they were fighting at."
"Manako, are you all, right?!" asked Smith through her transceiver.
"Yes, I'm fine! Both of the targets are gone."
"All that matters now is that you're safe! We'll catch them another time." Said Smith.
"About that… The blonde one sort of tried to kill me and the other one saved my life… I'm not saying we shouldn't go after him, but is there a chance we can go easy on him?"
Ms. Smith shook her head. "Unfortunately, he still broke the law, and as such he must be punished for it."
"I see…"
"Still, he does seem to know about those androids as he calls them. Perhaps if he offers us information, then we can be more lenient on him."
"He did say he hopes to meet us again. I hope so too." Said Manako.
Later at Kurusu's residence
Goten came home somewhat banged up causing great concern.
"Goten what happened to you?!" Said Miia.
"Oh, it's nothing too bad. I had a nasty fall." 'From like 500 feet in the sky, and it as more like I flew down their myself' Goten thought
"Oh, if you say so."
"Say, what's everyone so invested in on the TV?"
"Oh Goten, you're here. There were some Orcs at a manga store and this Saiyaman X2 guy just came and beat them all down. This incident caused a lot of controversy."
News Broadcaster: There's been some controversy over a standoff today since the criminals are of a none human species. An unknown character calling him Saiyaman X2 interfered with the operation and took down the criminals himself. He claimed to be a cleanup hero and stated his intentions were to protect the people who can't protect themselves. In his own words, he said "I know I don't have the right to take justice into my own hands, but when the police who are supposed to be enforcers of justice can't do their job, then who else can the people rely on?" This resonated with many people and may result in a revision of the Interspecies Exchange Bill. This incident, however, is being used as justification for discrimination against liminals. The man insisted that though he is a criminal, he made himself one for the sake of the people. Right after showing up, he was seemingly murdered by another person in a suit who claimed to be a zombie of some kind. He briefly fought with M.O.N before the mysterious Saiyaman X2 came back to stop him. As for the whereabouts of this mysterious vigilante, and his attacker, no one could be sure.
"That sounds terrible." Said Miia
"Those wretched lowlives. They're supposed to be acting as ambassadors of their kind. And this Saiyaman X2 ought to be ashamed of himself."
'Yikes, I definitely can't tell her anything.' Goten thought.
"I don't know Centorea, he kind of does have a point said Miia."
"Be that as it may, he still committed an act of vigilantism, and made relations even more complicated. I'm sure he may have had noble intentions, but a crime is a crime."
On the TV, they saw Ms. Smith and the rest of Mon walking out, but they were kind of banged up and they weren't happy. Behind them was a bunch of destroyed buildings.
"Ms. Smith is that you? You look angry?" Said Papi
Ms. Smith take a sip of tea at the table behind the sofa. "You have no idea how much I needed that today." She groaned. "First our operation fails because of some weirdo in a suit, then my team is almost slaughtered by a psychopath, we're being seen as jokes, and I'm still not getting paid enough for any of it!"
Goten didn't like this. He didn't want to be a symbol against the Interspecies Exchange Program. He read the Bill and he had his disagreements, but he respected the overarching goal the government was trying to achieve but he didn't want to be used as an excuse to hate liminals. He wasn't for or against them, but he had his own sense of justice. He also felt bad about stressing out Ms. Smith. He'd have to make it up to her somehow.
"Ah, that's right. I invited my Co-Workers over tonight."
"Alright guys, we're here, where's the grub!" Said Zombina.
"Please excuse us. We all had a long day." Said Manako
"Hi there, I am famished." Said Doppel
"So what's for dinner?" Said Tio. Apparently, she was fine after that attack from Beytah.
Gotens heart dropped. Ms. Smith being here in itself was a risk, but now she brought her whole team. 'Did they suspect me?! Crap, if I knew they had something set up, I wouldn't have shown up! I just gotta act natural!'
At Dinner, Goten tried to avoid eye contact with the girls for a moment, before he spoke up.
"Oh, hey girls, I haven't heard from you all in a moment. How have you been?" His smile was as crooked it was when Miia offered him her food.
"Oh, you wouldn't believe it. Some guy showed up and screwed up the entire operation and then some other random asshole shows up and tries to kill us! Well, at least we got to see the two of those weirdos fight. At least that was pretty fun!" Said Zombina.
"Bina… Please be respectful, we're guests here…" Manako said weakly.
"Yeah, that definitely sounds rough. What was that guy like anyway?" Said Goten.
"Which one, the weird cleaning freak, or the blonde wannabe zombie?
"Both of them If that's all right. I heard they were both unaffected by bullets." Said Goten.
"Oh, you should have been there! I don't think I ever had a fight that intense in awhile!"
"Um, I don't think it would be a good thing for him to be there Zombina." Said Manako.
"It was definitely an odd case. It also lines up with certain incidents involving superhumans kidnapping people and disappearing throughout the globe. Fortunately, our little scuffle against those two wannabe superheroes gave us more information. That person claiming to be a zombie left his weapon behind, and it is now being studied thoroughly. He will rue the day he decided to make my job harder than it already is!"
Goten officially felt bad. He couldn't apologize as that would give away his identity. He'd also have to lie low as Saiyaman X2's whereabouts were being investigated. In truth, he could have faked his own death, but he couldn't allow Beta 1 to kill them after his own screwup. He wanted to make it up to them, but how would he do that?
"He's misguided, but I'm sure he's a good guy! He saved my life when he could have just left me, and no one got hurt after all." Said Manako.
"I get that, however, whomever he may be, he still has to answer for his crimes." Said Smith.
"Oh, does someone have a crush? You're getting so defensive over him." Doppel teased.
"It's not like that!" Manako
"Aw, well I wouldn't blame you if you did. He was such a gentleman! The other one was so mean! He should really learn how to treat a lady!" Said Tio.
"WOAH THIS GRUB IS AWESOME! GOTEN YOU GOT TO TRY THIS! …Goten?"
"Oh, yeah?"
You're spacing out. Where's the glutton I saw the day we met?"
"Oh, I'm just thinking of things." Goten began stuffing his face.
"She's right, you seem awfully quiet today, Goten." Said Kimihito.
"I guess I'm just feeling a bit homesick that's all. Please, I'll get over it, I promise!" This was meant to be an excuse, but after saying this, he actually started thinking of home.
'Dad, Mom, Gohan. I don't know what you're doing now, but I hope you're all doing well. Mom, I know you definitely wouldn't approve of me doing this. Sorry about this, and sorry about doing it behind your back before I was sent here. Dad, you wouldn't have anything to say about it, but I hope you're doing alright. And finally you Gohan. You'd probably approve of what I've done but scold me for not thinking of the bigger consequences. Still, whatever any of you may think, I don't regret protecting the innocent. Even if M.O.N. was there to take care of the criminals, this country needs someone who's willing to save people even if it means breaking the law. Melody suffered because of these laws, and I'm willing to bet so many others have too. How many people get away with crimes all because of this stupid bill? Well, I'm not letting them get away no matter who they are!'
"Are you alright sir Goten?" asked Mero.
"Oh, me? I'm completely fine! …I just can't help but worry about my family and friends. I know they're strong and they can take care of themselves, but I wish I could see how they were doing right now."
"Tell me, what was your family like?" Said Mero. Though she was still amused by the tragic aspect of Goten's circumstances, she wanted to make amends with Goten after last night's conversation.
Goten chuckled weakly. "Well firstly, you should know martial arts is a big thing in my family. In fact, my dad actually proposed mom at a martial arts tournament."
"Oooo, what's the story behind that?!" Miia perked up. She loved a good love story.
"Well when my parents were kids, my dad was asked to find the daughter of someone known as the Ox King. He eventually found her and brought her back to his castle, and the prepared a feast. When his daughter mentioned marriage, my dad said he'd have some of that too."
Miia became starstruck. "How romantic, they're childhood sweethearts! Wait, what do you mean to have some of that too?"
"Well, you see… my dad kind of thought marriage was food."
Suddenly Centorea started laughing hysterically. "Hahahaha, that is absurd!"
"Wait, seriously?! Who raised him?!" Said Miia
"He was raised by his adoptive grandfather Gohan. However, after a tragic incident, he died, and my dad was alone for a bit." Said Goten.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
Mero's eyes beamed at this information, not that Goten noticed.
"It's fine, you didn't know. Anyway, when my dad grew up, he saw her again at the World Martial Arts Tournament and he didn't recognize her, and she was angry at him for it."
'Honestly, I don't blame her' Miia thought.
"Her conditions were if she won, she'd tell her who she was, and he beat her. As it turned out, she was the Ox Kings' daughter now grown up, and then my Dad remembered who she was and his promise to her. He explained that he thought marriage was food, and it broke her heart. After this, he proposed to her right in front of the entire crowd and the rest is history,"
"That story is so romantic! I'm so happy for her!" Said Miia.
There was one detail that wasn't lost on Centorea. "You mentioned the woman who married your father was the daughter of a king, did you not?"
"I did."
"That would have meant your mother was a princess. Are you insinuating that you are royalty?"
"Well, kind of. We used to live off of Grandpa's money until all his treasure was buried by the flames that guarded his castle. I guess you could call me a prince, but that's only through heritage. I never had to deal with subjects, and I don't want to rule over anyone. I was completely happy just living life as a normal kid in the mountains."
"Goten, I'm sorry. You lost all that when you wound up stuck here." Said Kimihito.
"Don't feel bad! It's not your fault! You've been nothing but good to me and for what it's worth, I do have way more freedom here than I ever had at home. I couldn't leave the house much outside of school. I was actually kind of sheltered."
Mero sat there quietly staring at Goten. She was a princess who grew up sheltered just like Goten. However, unlike Goten, she had subjects and lived as royalty. She kept quiet because she didn't want to mention her lineage.
"Centorea bowed before Goten. "Please forgive my disrespect, your highness."
"You're highness? Please, just call me Goten. It feels weird being treated like a prince. None of my friends back home did and I never saw myself as one."
"I see. I shall respect your wishes."
"Hey Goten?"
"Yes Miia?"
"Are you sure you're okay? If you want to talk about anything, I'm here." Said the Lamia
"I'll be fine. I'm sure they'll come for me, but I can't help but feel a little homesick. Well anyway, enough about me! Let's dig in!"
"YEAH, THAT'S THE SPIRIT! Said Zombina who joined in.
Much later…
Kimihito had come back from the grocery store, however before he could enter his home, he was abducted leaving nothing more than a shoe and his groceries. The next thing he knew, he was upside down.
"What the. Wasn't I walking home? Where in the heck am I?"
"Ah, so you're awake." Said the spider lady. Kimihito turned his head towards her. "I can't believe you fainted when I caught you. Humans are so delicate. It's rather tiresome. It's very nice to meet you. I am Rachnera Arachnera. I take it I'm the first Arachnae you've ever seen?" She giggles. "Are you scared?"
"Nice to meet you too uh Ms. Spider. Yep, first time. Can you let me down now? The blood's kind of rushing down to my head."
"I can tell you're trying to mask your fear. You're just like that other human I caught."
"Other human?"
"You're both acting like tough guys. I wonder, how long can you keep it up." Rachnera shows her sharp claws. Kimihito saw her nipples revealing themselves through her outfit and began squirming away.
A police officer entered causing Rachnera to drag Kimihito to the ceiling.
"Hello, is there anyone inside here? We got a call" Said the police officer.
"Oh, hey Kimihito, what are you doing here?" Said Goten who was casually resting while tied to the ceiling platform. However, the Saiyan wasn't truly restrained.
"Goten?! This is where you've been?"
"Oh, so funny story." Said Goten as he began to explain why he was here.
Flashback
Sometime after eating with M.O.N., Goten was jogging around the city just to appreciate the beauty of his new home. He decided he'd check a few stores out just to look around and get some exercise while he was on it.
"Man, that guy sure was tough. Seriously though, what was he thinking? Trying to hurt innocent people… and he tried to kill me too. Wasn't he supposed to help bring me back? If he's not here to bring me back, then what is he here for? Well, I'm sure we'll meet again…" Goten found himself at a convenience store looking at manga. He read clean god comics back home, but he obviously couldn't do that here, so he needed a substitute. One manga that caught his eye was one that showed a person wearing a red shirt, blue shorts, and a straw hat. He decided he'd pick up this manga, but before he could make it to the register, he saw a familiar face.
"Beytah? I didn't expect to see you here."
"Hello, Saiyaman X2. It would seem we meet again."
"What are you even talking about? Now's not the time for roleplay. We can talk but let me purchase my manga first."
Goten went to the register to finalize his purchase before gesturing to Beytah to follow him. they ended up on a park bench.
"Okay, what is your problem? First, you tried to kill me, then you tried to kill people for doing their job, and now you mentioned my identity in public?"
"All acts of villainy shall come to light!"
"Then what do you call what you tried doing to M.O.N?" Said an unamused Goten.
"Justice. They dared to stand in the way of the doctor, and I was going to punish them for their crimes."
"Hedo doesn't do that anymore! I don't know how you don't know this, but he works for Bulma now, and he's doing good things now! What you did hurts his image even more! Your actions are causing more harm than good!"
"Don't act like you're any better! Those wild boars deserved to be put out and you know it! They were willing to end the lives of the innocent for the sake of their own pleasure."
"They weren't a threat anymore! I already took care of them!"
"And what do you think will happen to them? If you think they will be punished, you're a bigger fool than you look. They'll be sent back to their homeland where they can more than likely return to a life of normalcy. What about their victims? The people they traumatized, the property they destroyed, the woman they assaulted. None of these actions can be undone! Because of you, none of those people will ever get justice!"
"They do deserve a harsher punishment," Goten admits. "But that's not for either of us to decide. And I'd say kicking their butts was plenty of justice. Why do they need to die? They didn't kill anyone, and they were already incapacitated. They weren't a threat to anyone anymore."
"And what's to stop them from going back and making more trouble?"
"They're being sent back to where they came from, and if they come back to cause trouble, I'll kick their butts again. I think they know that's not a good idea by now."
"If they come back and kill a civilian, their blood is on your hands." Beta 1 began leaving the bench.
"Wait, before you leave! Did Bulma send you to take me back? I need to know!"
"Hmph. I don't even know what you're talking about. That old hag hasn't been active in years. She's going to be forgotten just like her useless son!"
"They're a whole lot more useful than you! At least Bulma and Trunks can make decisions on their own. All you ever do is blindly follow orders without thinking about the consequences."
"Did you think about the consequences when you tried to play hero? Also, I highly doubt they can make any decisions where they are now." Said Beta 1 before walking away.
"Wow, what a jerk! That guy sucks!" Goten was officially in a bad mood. He decided to leave and go to a café to cool off. He figured it would be a good place to finish homework.
Later, Goten would finish his homework at the café. He wanted to break his habit of procrastinating, but his newfound freedom made that difficult for him. After he was done, he was in a much better mood… Until he saw him again. Right in the corner of his eye, was something yellow. He turned his head and saw Beytah sipping a cup of tea while clearly side-eyeing him. After this, Goten decided to immediately leave and go to the mall. He figured he could use some new clothes, and he hadn't explored a mall in this world yet.
"This one is just right." Said Goten as he grabbed a shirt that was similar to the One from Dragon Ball Super: Superhero.
"This one is befitting of the doctors master work!" Said Beta 1 who was standing right next to him picking out his own shirt.
"Dude, are you following me?"
"I have no idea what you could mean by that. I am merely shopping."
"Well whatever. I'm leaving now."
Later, Goten would find himself looking at phones.
"Wow, they're so different from the ones at home!"
"What rubbish. As expected, none of these phones are anything compared to what the amazing doctor has given me!"
"Dude, why are you even here?!"
"To compare the quality of the phones to the one that was gifted to me by the great doctor. Unfortunately, I found that they are all low quality."
"You know what? I'm just going to go somewhere where you can't follow me. I know for a fact that I'm faster than you. Bye!" Goten took his bags and zoomed out of the mall surprising everyone who saw it.
After finding a faraway place and relaxing for a bit, Goten was confident that he got away. "Welp, I better go home now. I think I lost him." Goten looked behind him and saw a box. He didn't think much of it especially because he couldn't sense anything.
"Huh, that's weird. That wasn't there before."
Goten would walk a few steps forward and he heard footsteps behind him. He looked back and saw the box was closer to him.
…
…
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" Goten picked up the box and threw it, revealing that Beytah was hiding in the box Solid Snake style. He was also wearing similar clothing.
"Crap, I've been found out!" Said Beta 1
"You aren't exactly subtle. Now will you please stop stalking me?! Do I need to get a restraining order?!"
"If you do that, I'll tell the authorities that you're Saiyaman X2."
"If you did that, I'd reveal what you did too."
"Yes, but unlike you, I have no attachments to this country. I can live here in the shadows while you'll be on the run like the common criminal you are." Beta 1 smugly smirked at him.
"You know, you've been a constant pain in my side all day! If you don't leave me alone, I'm going to take drastic measures!"
"Then take them. You got lucky in our last scuffle! Don't think you stand a chance this time." Beytah took up a Superhero fighting stance. As for Goten, he didn't take a stance at all. Beta tried to hit Goten, but Goten casually dodged and walked by him. "I told you to leave me alone and you didn't listen." Goten's body began glowing yellow, and his hair was shifting ever so slightly though it was still very much black. Before Beytah could react, Goten delivered a heavy blow in his gut, causing the zombie android to reel in pain before falling to the ground reeling in pain.
"You… criminal scum."
"You call me scum, but you're lying here beneath me. I guess I showed you how insignificant you are." Goten turned around and left the Android as he struggled to get up and flew to a place near Kimihito's house. He could have flown home immediately, but he wanted to relieve some stress by walking around and admiring his new surroundings. It was a quiet walk, almost too quiet. At some point, he found himself randomly covered in spider thread. He could have just escaped of course, but at this point, he just didn't care anymore.
"My, my what do we have here?" Said a Spider lady who came out of seemingly nowhere.
'You know what? Screw it. I'm not even going to try to escape. Let's just see where this goes. At least this is better than dealing with him or anyone else who is following me. Seriously, what was his deal?' At some point, the lady would also kidnap Kimihito Kurusu, not that Goten noticed as he decided to take a nap as he was being kidnapped. To him, being kidnapped by the spider woman was like getting a free ride to who knows where. He figured it didn't matter where she took him as he could easily get back anytime he wanted. For the time being, however, he was just too tired.
Later…
Goten woke up and the next thing Goten knew, he was hanging upside down on a thread near the ceiling. He looked at his abductor with a tired smile.
Goten yawned before opening his eyes. "Hey there spider lady. Thanks for the ride, but Is there a reason you needed me?"
"My my, what do we have here? A little human found his way into my web. Oh, I do loathe your species. My name is Rachnera Arachnera. Pleased to meet you." She giggles before speaking again. "Judging from your reaction, I take it this is your first time seeing an Arachne? Are you scared?"
"My name is Son Goten. It's nice to meet you too. Also, let me think for a moment… have I seen an Arachne! Goten thought hard. I knew he saw someone like her before but then it hit him. "Oh yeah! I've seen your species before! I go to school with a member of your species! We haven't really talked though."
"And why is that? Is my species so unsightly to you humans that you won't even speak to us?"
"Nah, it's nothing like that. I'm pretty new here in general and I just started going to school in Japan. My only real interaction with her was in a game of dodgeball and I don't remember either of us really talking to each other. I have nothing against your kind though. We just don't know each other very well. Why are you so insistent about me being afraid of you anyway? Is there a reason I should be scared?"
"I have you completely at my mercy, and you're all alone. I could do whatever I please to you, and you couldn't do a thing to stop me. These claws aren't for show, you know."
"Well, let's just say I'm not exactly normal. Besides, even if you could kill me, I don't sense any evil intentions from you. I'm kind of getting bored though, so please make it quick. What do you want from me?"
"And just what is that supposed to mean? How could you be so sure of my intentions?"
"I'm really not in the mood to explain it right now, so let's just say it's a gut feeling."
"You're awfully calm for someone who is hanging upside down.
"OH RIGHT! Thanks for reminding me! I can't have the blood rush to my head now, can I?" Well before that… Goten set his arms free and immediately resorted to doing crunches. Ever since he came here, he hadn't done any real training. However, Goten was going so fast he ended up breaking the string which ended up untying him as well."
"Darn it! I broke the strings! Welp, I guess I'll do 100,000 pushups now."
"What are you doing? How did you get out?" Said a surprised Rachnera.
"I'm getting in some exercise, and I told you I'm not exactly a normal human." Said Goten.
Before Rachnera could question him further, she noticed Kimihito was starting to wake up and decided to deal to approach him next.
"Stay still." She said before picking him up and tying him to one of the ceiling platforms. When she did, Goten set his arms and legs free, and pretty much used her web as a makeshift blanket before taking another nap.
Present
"And that's how I ended up in this situation." Goten of course gave him an abridged version of the story without mentioning Saiyaman X2 or Beta 1 by name. All he said was he was followed around, punched the guy, ran off, got kidnapped, ended up here, and decided to lie low."
This prompted Rachnera to shoot a web at Goten's mouth and shove Kimihito's face in her bosom. "Quiet, both of you. If you scream for help then… Oh my, guess you have an extra appendage as well." She said noticed the bulge in his pants.
"TMI! yelled Goten through the web. His voice was muffled."
"I said quiet down! How do you keep getting my webs off of you?!" Said Rachnera in a hushed voice." She webbed up his mouth again.
The police officer heard Kimihito's muffled voice. "WHO GOES THERE?!" Said the frightened cop. He shined his flashlight at the ceiling, but it missed Rachnera.
"Well now that was a close call," Said Rachnera. She noticed Kimihito struggling in her breast causing her to look at him and blush."
"OOoOOOooO. You're in the presence of a ghOOoOOost."
"AHHHHHH, SCREW THIS I'M GETTING OUT OF HERE! IT'S TOO CREEPY!"
"HAHAHA, that never gets old." Goten was laughing hysterically at whoever the poor soul who entered was.
"Will you stop doing that?! You're going to ruin everything!"
"Doing what?"
"Making noise! You're going to give away our location!"
"Fine, Fine..."
Rachnera turned to Kimihito and pushed him down. Luckily, he was still hanging from the web. "You know, it may scare you, but you're only hanging from your legs and your mouth."
"Meh, he'll be fine. He's survived so much worse. Besides, if he falls, I'll just catch him." Said Goten, whose arms were now freeing her thread, was playing a game on his phone.
Rachnera turned her head towards Goten. "Why are you still here? You can break my webs so easily and yet you haven't even tried to run. You could have easily escaped from me and informed the police."
"Two reasons. One, I wanted to make sure I wasn't being watched by anyone else. Two, I wanted to see how this plays out. I was going to leave, but then I saw you have my host with you too."
"Are you saying that you are a liminal? As far as I can tell, you look and smell like a human. Though your strength is impressive for your kind."
"I'm considered a liminal because I'm not from this world. Pretty much everyone sees me as a human even if that isn't the complete truth." Goten admits. He was getting more and more comfortable talking about his non-human side. "Also, there really wouldn't be a point in me calling the police since no one here is actually in danger."
"I'm not a fan of lies in general. However, I despise obvious lies even more. Do not insult my intelligence."
"Believe what you want, There's no real way I can prove it anyway, and it doesn't matter at the end of the day. I'm here now, and the government considers me a liminal."
Rachnera decided to drop this small part of the conversation. "And what makes you so sure it wasn't me who you felt? You were completely defenseless, and unguarded. I also found out who you were. You're the 'insufferable pet' aren't you?
"Hey, that's rude! I am not a pet, I am a human being!"
"Those were the words of my last host family. Does the name Kasegi ring any bells?"
"Kasegi… Kasegi… Kasegi… Oh… yeah... that guy. Yeah, he sucked." Said Goten miffed at the mere mention of the pathetic man.
"Why are you doing this?! And You! How are you so casual about this?!" Exclaimed Kmihito
"Because you've been a naughty boy." Rachnera giggled as she hugged him, rubbing her breast against his back.
"I'm calm because being tied up here is one of the least stressful things that happened today." Goten turned his attention to his phone. "OH SWEET I GOT AN LR! THAT MAKES ME FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! NEVER MIND! GETTING TIED UP HERE WAS THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!" Goten yelled as he was playing a gacha game on his phone."
Rachnera and Kimihito both sweatdropped before Rachnera began facing Kimihito again. "Here's your punishment. Are they heavy?" Asked Rachnera who now decided Goten wasn't even worth trying to restrain now.
Kimihito struggled to bite off the thread covering his mouth.
"Oh I'm impressed~. You're quite the little trooper aren't you? Trying so hard to fight it? You're so cute. Now let's see if you can handle some more~." Rachnera nibbles on Kimihito's ear. She then began licking his ear until he broke the web with his teeth causing him to fall but stopping before he hit the ground."
"How about that? You managed to bite clean through my thread. I guess I wasn't the only one to do some nibbling."
"Yeah, well I did it first." Said Goten who was out of his web and standing next to Rachnera."
"When did you get down, and are you done toying with me?"
"Yeah, it's been fun but I don't have much of a reason to stick around anymore. if someone was still watching me, they should have lost interest by now. No one can be that much of a loser." Goten politely bowed to Rachnera. "Thank you so much."
"You do realize when I kidnapped you, I wasn't trying to rescue you or anything?"
"Yeah, well that doesn't matter. You helped anyway! Besides, the guy following me was more annoying than threatening."
"Sounds like someone has a secret admirer."
Goten shivers. "Please do not put that mental image in my head."
Rachnera giggles. "It would seem I found your weakness."
"I-I was so sure I was going to die… In six different ways." Said Kimihito.
"I might've overdone it a little bit. Sorry." She said playfully
"Rachnera, Goten, what exactly are you two running from?" He looks at Rachnera. "You should be at home with your host family" Then he looks at Goten "And you mentioned you were being stalked by someone?"
"Yeah, I may have got in a fight with someone. Someone as strong as me, I might add. The problem is I can't sense their energy, and they wouldn't leave me alone. They kept finding me everywhere I went. I ended up punching him the guy and the last I saw of him, he was on the ground. After that, I just left, but I still wanted to make sure he didn't get up to follow me again. No matter how far I went, he always managed to find me. I used a hint of my full power, but I was right to not use too much of it otherwise, I could have caused too much damage. The guy is annoying, but I don't want his blood on my hands."
This caused Rachnera to tilt her head in confusion.
"That's for the best Goten. How strong are you exactly? You weren't bothered at all by being tied up by Rachnera." Asked a curious Kimihito.
"Some things are better left a secret."
"Noted. Well, what about you Rachnera? What are you running from?"
"Let's just say I didn't see eye to eye with my host."
"Oh yeah?"
"I'm sure they were expecting someone softer, and sweet. Ah, but the sour expressions on their faces were so priceless. One day they were approached by a shady-looking man offering to take me in. I'm sure that was an easy decision for them to make."
"That sounds terrible." Said Kimihito.
Rachnera stomped near Kimihito. "Just so you know, I have no interest on feeding on your sympathy. I'm just fed up with you humans! Your kind may act like you want to help, but in the end, you can only accept people who are like you. It makes me sick.
"That's where you'd be wrong," said Goten.
"And what do you know?"
"Ever since I came to Japan, this guy has been one of the most accepting people I've met! He lives with many non-human girls and treats them all with respect! What's more, he plans to marry at least one of them."
"Goten?! Why would you tell her that?"
"Sorry, I said it in the heat of the moment." Goten turned back to Rachnera. "I'm sorry you weren't treated well by humans, but we aren't all like that!"
"Oh please, look at him. The only reason he was attracted to me was because of the parts of me that look human. The rest of me only evokes feelings of fear and disgust! I'm sure deep down, you're disgusted by me too!"
Before Goten could say anything, Kimihito beat him to it. "No, actually your legs are… How should I put it… Well, they're captivating."
"Aren't you kinky? Only a real degenerate would be aroused by my spider legs, oh my!"
"NO!"
Goten shook his head. "And you think you know a guy. For shame." he teased.
"Et tu Goten?!"
"What a horny boy, you're a virgin aren't you?" Said Rachnera.
"What? That's crazy, whatever gave you that idea!"
Suddenly, the window let up.
'Tch, one of them must have secretly called for help. Most likely, the younger one. He easily broke out of my webs so he had time to call them.'
"They've got the building surrounded." Said Kimihito.
"Oh, crap!" Said Goten out loud.
"This is interspecies exchange security coordinator Smith.
'No, No, No, this can't be happening right now! They already found out my identity?!'
"We know you inflicted violence on that self-proclaimed movie director. That behavior is strictly forbidden by law."
"Phew, what a relief," Goten said out loud. He then looked to his side and saw a terrified Kimihito. 'What happened to him?'
"I guess I did punch that guy in the face, but that was because he…"
Both Goten and Rachnera sweatdropped. 'He can't be serious' they both thought. Goten walked over to Rachnera "Pst, what did you even do to the guy for the police to be after you."
"I trapped him in my threads, that's all."
"Well, knowing him he probably had it coming."
"The law is the law. Even if he was a scumbag, I shouldn't have… "Oh shut up!" Now listen to me. You're getting ahead of yourself. Did it not occur to you that they're talking to me?" Said Rachnera.
"But why? Kimihito questioned. He inhales and exhales before getting up. "All right, I turn myself in. Stay quiet and run away when you can! Good luck, and Godspeed!"
To this, both Goten and Rachnera started laughing at him.
"Good luck really?"
"Yeah, so what about it?" Said Kimihito
"How could you possibly think they were after you?"
"Hey stop laughing!"
All the members of M.O.N listened in Confusion.
"You know, I think I like you. You're so adorable!" Said Rachnera.
Later…
"I'm terribly sorry Rachnera. We choose the wrong homestay for you and failed to correct the situation." Said Smith.
"Oh, don't worry, I wasn't looking for some sort of apology from you. It was lacking in sincerity anyway. I mean this is a result of your negligence."
"Sincerity. I see."
"Exactly. I got nowhere left to go now. If only there were a nice spacious house somewhere recently remodeled with severely non-human girls living there happily? Now that would just be perfect for me." Rachnera then went over to Kimihito and began playing with his head. "Oh and the host must be comfortable with spiders. Otherwise, there'd be no hope of things working out at all."
Smith had a knowing smile. "I see, however, with those specific circumstances your options are going to be rather limited. But there is one place that would make a great fit for you."
"Yeah! She'd be a great fit! She's funny!" Said Goten.
And with that, Rachnera Arachnera had joined the Kurusu household.
Sorry, I took so long but here's my second chapter. I don't have much to say, but for those who are caught up in the One Piece anime, I am so hyped for the new episode! If you're an anime only and you still don't know what I'm talking about, then you are lucky as hell. All I gotta say is prepare for peak anime on August 6th 2023. Anyway, for better or worse, my new chapter is out! I hope you enjoyed!
