Chapter 6: Date with an Idol

It was a brand new day and Rachnera had moved into the Kimihito household. Goten had already been acquainted with the Arachne, and as it would turn out, everyone was at the table as they had just finished breakfast. Everyone save for Goten and Kimihito who were currently doing the dishes.

"Breakfast was simply wonderful, honey." Said Rachnera.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." Kimihito replied.

"Wait a minute bug breath, I heard that! What the heck do you think you're doing by calling my future husband honey!"

"Oh? Would you rather I call him darling like you do?" Said an amused Rachnera.

"You better watch it! YOU SKANKY SPIDER!"

Miia was immediately webbed up with Rachnera looking back at her.

"Oh no dear, you can call me Rachnera. We're all friends here aren't we?"

Miia smirked and looked back. "get her Papi."

"Wow you're so fun! I want you to be my big sister!" Said Papi as she and Suu were both playing on a net made from her web."

"There's the greeting I was hoping for." She then walked up to Mero.

"Tell me, which ocean did you come from?"

"Oh no silly, I'm a spider not a crab."

"Goten, I bet you realized something up!"

'Wow, thanks Rachnera! This is some good exercise!" Goten was using a string of web to do pull-ups.

"OH, OF COURSE, SHE GOT TO YOU TOO! 'Oh whatever, who needs them? Centorea should take my side.' Miia thought.

"I don't have any objections to lady Rachnera staying with us." Said Centorea.

"Huh?!" Miia exclaimed.

Centorea turned her head towards Miia. "She doesn't make me suspicious the same way Meroune does." She began walking with her eyes closed, causing her to squish Kimihito's face against the wall with her bossum."

"Hey! Cerea!"

"Oh, uh. Pardon me! Please, ride on my back! Go on!"

"No thanks. It's okay. Is something wrong? You're being kind of pushy. Why are you sticking so close to me?"

"What do you mean? You are my great master! It is my duty to accompany you. Please allow me to stay at your side always."

"It's just. I gotta use the restroom."

"Um PLEASE EXCUSE ME THEN!"

Kimihito went into the bathroom leaving no one but Miia and Centorea.

"So you really don't mind her?" Said Miia.

"I don't."

"That spider's got to be up to no good. Don't you think? I mean she even looks dangerous?"

"Miia… No matter how she looks, don't judge someone by their appearance. It's not honorable. As non-human species, we should know that better than anyone."

"Yeah, I know that but still…"

"Hey, what are you girls talking about?" Said a familiar black-haired teen."

"Oh, Goten, it's nothing. Say, what's your honest feelings on Rach-" Miia didn't get to finish her sentence as there was a loud noise coming from the door."

"Hey, are you okay in there?!" Goten yelled, not wanting to disturb whoever was in the bathroom.

Centorea immediately kicked down the door revealing Rachnera tying Kimihito on the toilet.

Shortly after, Rachnera would explain herself. "Whoops, sorry! Silly honey just came rushing into the bathroom. I was so startled, I trapped him." Rachnera said as she giggled.

Goten slammed his fist into his open palm. "Yeah, that makes sense." It didn't take much effort to convince the Saiyan.

"Like hell it does! You were waiting for Darling to-" Said Miia cartoonishly gritting her teeth.

"That's all right! But if you don't mind, please remember, lock the door from now on."

"Hey everyone, would you all be all right if I went out for a bit? I want to try some new sweets if that's fine with you."

"That's completely fine Goten. See, honey agrees!"

"MMPH!" Kimihito's mouth was still covered by Rachnera's web.

"Wow, you're the best! Thank you!" And with that, Goten ran out of the house and took off flying.

"Wait, get back here this instant!" Centorea exclaimed, but it was too late. "Oh, that little troublemaker. I swear, he's worse than Papi sometimes."

"Miia sighed as a result of Centorea not taking her side. "Centorea, it will be okay. We both know he'll be fine on his own."
"Yes, I'm aware of that. But does he even know where he's going? What if he gets lost?"

"You're such a worry wart. He got home on his own after being in that forest that Papi went to that one time. He'll be fine."

"Yes I know but still."

"You've taken a liking to him haven't you?"

"Well of course I have! He aids my Master with cleaning up after us, he plays with Papi and Suu, and he always tries his hardest to make those around him happy. He's a genuinely good kid Miia, and I can't help but worry about him."

"Speaking of Goten, do you think he's a liminal species like us?"

"Why yes, the thought has occurred to me. However, I figured it would be rude to pry. If he's not revealing what he truly is, he must have a reason for hiding it. Like Rachnera, I have no reason to be suspicious of him. He hasn't been here long, but I truly believe he's a good-natured soul even if he's hiding something from us."

"If I may intrude, I have my suspicions as well. A spider's threads are stronger than steel, and an Arachne's threads are even stronger yet this young man was able to break through them with relative ease. What's more, he was able to move freely and removed the web from his mouth on his own. It was a mistake to kidnap him. I thought I had him completely bound within my webs and yet he wasn't bothered in the slightest. He started doing exercises, he played a game on his phone, and he pulled a prank on a police officer."

"He what! Oh, that little troublemaker..." Centorea exclaimed.

Miia didn't trust Rachnera, but with what she saw from Goten, she believed her in this instance, especially after seeing Goten fly around a few times. Every time she'd ask him about it, he'd say it was something people just knew how to do back in his world. Being from another world was already hard enough to believe, but the event where he came crashing into the ground from the sky had too many witnesses. If he were a human, he wouldn't have survived that even if he could fly. By all intents in purposes, he should have been a blood stain on the ground, but he wasn't damaged by the fall. In fact, the ground was more damaged than Goten was. Whatever he was, Miia didn't care. He wasn't some pretty girl after her darlings' affection, and he seemed very innocent, something Miia found adorable. Like Centorea, she also appreciated him helping out Kimihito.

Rachnera's feelings for the boy were unclear. She wasn't sure how she felt about him. When she saw him walking around, seemingly defenseless, she'd assumed he'd be another human completely afraid of her appearance, but she'd soon find out that he wasn't afraid at all. He acted completely nonchalant around her, but she could tell he was hiding an emotion along with something else. It wasn't fear, but it was more like he was hiding his annoyance than anything else. When she realized this, she wasn't a fan of him as he was still masking his emotions, but she preferred it over someone pretending not to be afraid of her. Outside of this, she didn't mind him but was intrigued that he genuinely wasn't afraid of her. She'd later find out he was hiding something else. He claimed to be human, but Rachnera knew something was fishy. Rachnera knew she wasn't the strongest liminal, but for a human to break out of her webs that easily wasn't possible. Additionally, she'd find out he was capable of flight. There was no way he was human and yet he is insistent that he is. He said that he was trying to get away from someone, but who could that someone be? Why was he trying to get away from them? Surely someone like him could easily dispatch a stalker. She knew that Goten was hiding a lot more than just his mood that day and she was determined to find out what that was." 'Son Goten, who are you really? Whoever you are, I will uncover the truth someday.' Rachnera thought.

Somewhere in the city

Sindraco Firenna was a Dragonnewt pop idol that took off around last year. She has long wavy pink hair, a long red tail, dark red wins, and violet horns. She's always smiling and is always kind. Upon debut, she amassed a large number of fans. No one has seen her outside the stage as she always seems to vanish off to somewhere unknown. Her beauty has caused some to believe she is a goddess, while others believe she is some kind of spirit. Regardless of what she is, she's always expected to look and act a certain way. As it would turn out, she had just finished a song at a concert. Another day of cheers from the crowds, and an even larger amount of people professing their undying love for the girl. Sindraco Firenna is liminal, so she does stay with a host family. In her case, she lives with her manager. Being an Idol, she would be recognized if she went out in public. Whenever she desired free time, she'd change her look, and fly out of her window. That was the case today.

"All right! It's time to go out and see the world!" She stretches before putting on some more casual clothes, paints her naturally purple tail red, and grabs a hat and goggles to disguise herself as an average girl, or atleast as average as a Dragonewt could be. She did the same with her wings. She was about to change her hair, but something got to her before she could get to do her hair.

*Rumbles*

"Ow, my poor tummy. I need to get something to eat and fast! Well, I know exactly where to go!" And just like that, Sindraco Firenna left without changing her hair. She could have had her servants cook her something up, but she wanted to go to Japan's restaurants. As she flew, she began daydreaming about the many different types of foods she could eat.

'Sushi rolls… Pork Ramen… Curry…' She thought. She'd soon bump into an object.

"OW!" She recoiled in pain That hurt! What did I just slam into? I'm like 200 feet in the sky! Please tell me it's not another harpy!"

"I'm so sorry! I really should have been watching where I was going. I was on my way to try out some Japanese desserts. Please, let me make it up to you. My treat."

"I accept your apology. As a noble Dra- Wait to Go-"She regained her composure. "I mean how are you flying?! Humans can't do that!"

"It's a really long story. Say, how do you know my name anyway?"

"Oh, you just reminded me of someone I know whose name also starts with Go. How about we talk a little bit on the surface? As you can see, I'm a demi-human and I want to see more of what people do in their daily lives!" She said

The two descend to the ground surprising many people. Goten despite being able to fly, was still acknowledged as a human. As for Sindraco, she had ways to get around the issue if she were reported to the police. Fortunately, nobody decided to snitch on them. They found that they were now in the city and there were plenty of places to eat there.

"These Japanese sweets have piqued my interest! I think I'll try them out. Don't worry about paying though." Said Sindraco.

"I can't do that! I'd feel bad if I made you pay after what I did to you!"

"Please, you're too kind, but I was just as guilty. Besides, I'm more than wealthy enough to buy food for the both of us!" Said Sindraco.

"Nah, it's fine. I'm cool with buying my own food, and if you want to buy your own food, that's fine with me too. I wouldn't mind sitting together with you though."

"My my, taking the initiative I see." She teased.

"What can I say, I'm a pretty straightforward guy!"

She giggled "Please. Call me Sinocard Anrefni." She came up with this on the fly. She mostly observed people, but she didn't socialize with them a lot. She had no idea if this was a real human name. When she went out with her Manager, they'd go to the most expensive places where people would be afraid to talk to her. She also had to put up an air of dignity which meant eating quietly and calmly.

"Huh, that's an odd name. Well, I'm Son Goten!"

"It's ever so nice to meet you." She smiled.

Shortly after, Sindraco would find herself stuffing her face with different types of desserts. She was doing it extremely fast too. Of course, Goten wasn't much better either. He went slower than usual, because he wanted to savor his food, and Saiyans in general had to eat more than the average human.

"This food is so delish! You were right to come here!"

"Gee, you never struck me as the type to have a sweet tooth." Said Goten.

"What makes you say that?"

"Hmm, no reason, I guess. I guess I just didn't."

"You're so silly!" She giggles.

Goten pauses for a bit before mustering up the courage to say what he was thinking. "I know this is going to sound like a random question, but what do you think of Saiyaman X2? You know, the Superhero who beat up the thugs?

"You mean that odd man in the suit that was all over the news? If you had asked me a few days ago, I'd thought he was nothing but a criminal. But after having a talk with a good friend of mine at school, I can see that he's doing the right thing." Sindraco winked at Goten. "From the land that I hail from, there isn't any sort of law enforcement. Then again, my species usually don't live together. My tribe however is different, in the case that we do have a civilization. We don't have any type of law enforcement such as police, but if the tribe leader sees what he finds to be injustice, he will give a punishment that sees as fit, and he will do it himself. Our conversation made me think of what it would be like if my tribe leader decided to ban us from harming invaders. I realized how pathetic that really is." Said Sindraco

"That's interesting. So your tribe is the only one that has any type of civilization?"

"No, there are definitely other tribes out there with a civilization of their own, however, they are just as rare and small as my tribe. They also have a vastly different culture than us. Enough of that though. It seems you're quite interested in this Saiyaman X2 person."

"Hehe, well you can say I'm kind of a fan. I agree that these laws have issues, but I don't see Saiyaman X2 as some hero who's directly trying to rebel against the Interspecies Exchange Bill. I think he just wants to help people and the laws get in the way. I know he's technically a criminal, but if we look past his crimes, and look at him as a person, could you just imagine what he's thinking? Based on his quotes, he seems like he has good intentions, but people are using that incident as an excuse to hate non-humans, something a hero like him wouldn't want. There's also the non-humans hate humans for taking advantage of the law too. Saiyaman X2 has to live with the fact that whether he likes it or not, he plays a part in this hatred. Any future hate crime against liminals or humans might cause him to blame himself. Overall, I agree with what he's doing. Sure, it might mess up relationships a bit, but if I were in his shoes, I'd do the same thing. At the end of the day, lives are more important than some stupid bill."

"I see. I wasn't expecting you to give me such a profound answer. You have a very unique point of view. I agree, I believe he is a good person doing what he can to make Japan a better place."

"You have no idea how good it feels to hear that."

"Oh? And why is that? By any chance do you have some sort of connection to that person? Perhaps, he's sitting here in front of me?" Sindraco smirked.

'Oh, crap! I said too much!' "I uh, it's just a little frustrating seeing someone who obviously means well, being treated like some kind of villain!" Said Goten defensively."

"Goten, I was merely jesting." She giggled.

"Oh yeah, of course." Goten laughs nervously. "You're pretty funny Sinocard."

Suddenly a random voice shouted. "HEY! IS THAT SINDRACO FIRENNA, THE POP IDOL?!" said a random customer

"What are you talking about? Actually, wait! You have a point! She does look like her!"

"Who's the chump sitting with her?! He better not be taking our Sindraco on a date!"

"HOW COULD YOU BETRAY US!"

'Damn it… They found me out! I forgot to change my hair! My career is over! My manager is going to kill me for this!'

"What are you talking about? This isn't an Idol. This is just my friend from school and she's just a cosplayer who happens to be a big fan of this Sindraco Firenna. Now please go back to what you were doing. You're making my friend uncomfortable."

"Is that true?!" Asked one of the random customers."
"Y-Yes! I am indeed just a high school student! I am merely cosplaying! Now, it would be much appreciated if you didn't stare!" Said the Idol

"Hmm, now that I think about it, her tail is different. It's purple instead of red."

"Wow, that is an amazing cosplay! You're killing it, girl!"

"You looked just like her! My bad!"

"Her hair matches her perfectly."

"HOW DARE YOU EVEN TRY TO COSPLAY AS HER?! SHE IS MY GIRLFRIEND AND I WON'T TOLERATE THIS DISRESPECT!" Said a blonde man in a black hoodie.

"Hey, calm down man, she's just having fun. I'm sure Sindraco wouldn't mind."

"Where is your host family?! I doubt a kid like you is involved in the program!"

"Technically, I am. My current guardian is a host for liminals."

"Oh, and just where is this guardian of yours? If he's really her host, then you shouldn't care if I call the police to verify!"

"You know what? We don't have to take this! Come on, let's go Sinocard!"

"Y-Yes, of course, Son Goten!"

The pair paid for their food and left the bakery, as the man was in hot pursuit with his phone out. He was in the process of calling the police, but when Goten and the girl turned, they both vanished.

"DAMN IT! I'LL FIND YOU, YOU HEAR ME?!"

Meanwhile, Goten and Sindraco were observing him.

"Man, what a nutjob! Seriously, what's wrong with people?! It wasn't just him, but the other customers too! Who cares if you're an Idol?! You're still a person just like everyone else!"

"That may be true, but some people don't see it that way. As an Idol, this sort of reaction is to be expected. Should someone find out I am in a relationship, it could destroy my career. Many of my fans will feel betrayed."

"That's not for them to decide! They should be happy that their Idol found happiness! Whatever that was back there was no love!"

Sindraco sighed. "They can be a bit crazy at times, but I really do love my fans. I just don't love them in the way, some of them want me to. I'm not willing to give up on finding love for their sakes."

"You shouldn't! It would be selfish of them to expect that from you. Well hey, at least we got out of THAT debacle, eh Draconis?"

"Draconis? O-Oh, surely you have the wrong person!"

"Nah, you're definitely her alright. I can tell."

"How can you?!"

"I recognized your energy. I make a point in remembering the energy of people I like."

The girl's face became as red as a tomato. "Don't tease me like that! It's true that I am indeed Draconis Inferna, but when did you notice?"

"I noticed when you talked about how talking to your friend gave you a different point of view on Saiyaman X2. That wasn't enough to make me suspicious at first, but then you winked at me. When you did that, I was thinking 'Do I know her from somewhere', and so I sensed your energy, and it was identical to the class representative from school."

"If you knew who I was, then why didn't you say anything earlier?!"

"I figured that since you were hiding your identity, you probably had a good reason for it. I still never would have imagined you were an idol."

"I really said too much haven't I?" Draconis looks down sadly. "It's just, that this career is really difficult. I'm already put on a pedestal back home, but the same applies to Japan too. Maybe it's my own fault, but the things I enjoy are always the things that happen to make people admire me too much. It doesn't help that I'm a Dragon. People either admire me too much or fear me as if I'm some sort of monster… I guess my real form is much bigger than a human, but I would never harm an innocent person!"

"Draconis, I'm sorry. I had no idea you were going through so much. But you know? Learning about this made me respect you so much more. You're strong Draconis. You'd need to be to carry all this on your back."

"I appreciate your kind words, Son Goten. Still, I'm sure your life isn't much easier... Saiyaman X2!" She smirked at him.

"WHAT?!" Goten exclaimed.

"That reaction confirms everything. Thank you for telling." Draconis giggled.

"I'm just surprised at the random accusation!"

"I am a Dragon, Goten. I can tell what your emotions are by the smell of your sweat. A unique ability of us Dragons that helps with hunting our prey."

"T-That's… really something."

"That's not all! You gave an entire speech on why Saiyaman was a good person and gave a pretty detailed explanation of what his motivations could be. To use your own words against you, it wasn't enough to make me suspicious at first, but then you got all defensive when I implied you could be Saiyaman X2. You being the mysterious hero would also explain how you can fly. Still, I wonder how you can fly. Is that a rare ability you humans can be born with? I may have sniffed you a few times, and you definitely smell human."

"Fine, you got me… Just please don't tell anyone. I'm not doing this for myself. What I said about Saiyaman X2 before was really how I felt. I've been grounded by my mom for this and rightfully so, and when I say rightfully so, I mean because I was missing homework and nearly failing classes because of my superhero work, but that's beside the point! I can admit that I had a little fun kicking bad guy butt and a part of it was to have fun, but I really wanted to help people. The police officers can't do anything to non-human criminals because it violates the bill. How ridiculous is that?! They're supposed to be there to help people, but they can't do anything! I probably would have done the same thing even if the bill wasn't a thing, but with a stupid system like this, I feel like I need to do this."

"Goten, you know I would never do that to you. You're important to me, and I would never hurt you. Is that true what you said? Do you really feel like it's your fault that relationships between species have worsened?"

"Well, I do just a little bit. You see, I don't regret doing what I did. People's lives were in danger, and I had no way of knowing that everything was already being taken care of. There's no doubt in my mind that doing what I did was the right thing. Well maybe not in that case since I did interrupt M.O.N's operation when they could have handled it, but even so, I don't plan to stop anytime soon. I'm trying to lie low for now, but if I see something like this happening again, I'm going to stop it. It does hurt a little knowing I'm responsible for causing stress and knowing I'm being used as a symbol of hatred, even if what I did was for the greater good."

"Goten, please don't be upset! Even if you hadn't shown up, relationships would have suffered anyway. If you didn't do anything that day, another vigilante would have probably shown their face sometime in the future."

"Maybe, but I can't help but feel a little bad about it. I really wasn't trying to be some activist against the Interspecies Exchange Bill, not that I'd be against that after seeing how bad it actually is. At the time I really just wanted to help people and the laws got in the way. Nothing more, nothing less."

Both Draconis and Goten took a moment of silence.

"I've seen what people are saying about me. Some people think I'm some sort of glory-obsessed sociopath while others admire me to the point of seeing me as some sort of God. I thought they were trolling at first, but there are actually some people who legitimately think I'm some kind of divine entity. I may have powers, and people might think that I'm someone significantly special, but I'm not. I'm just a guy behind all of that. My brother and dad on the other hand are special, and I'm proud to call them my family. They both saved the world more than once, and they're both my heroes!"

"Though I am curious about your family, I won't let what you said go unchallenged. Goten, don't say you aren't special because that simply isn't true! How many people would put themselves in danger knowing they could die or be arrested?"

"Draconis, I appreciate you trying to cheer me up and when I say this, I'm not trying to be a downer, but I really can't call myself brave for something like that. A lot of people would probably easily do what I did if they could effortlessly beat up criminals and leave the scene in the blink of an eye. Do you know what would really be brave? If someone without the advantages I had did all that that."

"Don't sell yourself short Son Goten! This wasn't an easy decision for you was it?! You knew that people might see you as nothing but a common criminal, a thug no different from the Orcs who shot up the store didn't you?! Even so, you still decided to do what you did because you wanted to help people! What's more is, you stayed to fight the guy who tried to kill you to protect the very same people who tried to arrest you!"

"Well, they were just doing their jobs, and even if I didn't like them, I'd still have done the same. I couldn't just leave them there to die. It wouldn't be right."

"And that's what I like about you Goten! You always try to do the right thing."

"It's just how I was raised."

"Well, you were raised well." Draconis smiled at him. "I heard the description given on the person who attacked you. They say he was blonde, wore dark apparel, had blonde hair, and was too powerful to be a human."

"Yeah, that's true… the thing is, I didn't recognize him at first, but the more I observed him as we fought, the more familiar he seemed until I knew who he was. I thought he was here to take me back to my world, but he wasn't. He decided it was a good idea to start trying to kill people. I thought I'd see my family again, but no! He just had to ruin that!"

"What do you mean your world?"

"Oh, right I never explained that to you. Draconis. I am not from this world. I come from another version of Earth and was sent here through a machine that I was pushed into. I know that's hard to believe, but that's why I'm here. That guy I was fighting was an android and someone who went to my school in the world that I'm from. He was created by a guy called Dr. Hedo who is now working for my best friend's mom who also happens to be the smartest woman on Earth and is a friend of the family. I'm assuming she already started looking for a way to bring me back, and I'm completely confident in her ingenuity. What I'm saying is… I might be leaving this world soon."

"I must admit that your story does seem far-fetched. However, I smell no dishonesty, so I think there is truth to your words. Does this mean you'll be leaving this world forever?"

"I'm sorry Draconis, I really am. I do like this world and the people here, but I have too many connections that I'm not willing to cut back home. Japan is great, but it isn't home."

"It's fine Goten. If that makes you happy, then I shall accept your decision. Besides, if they do come to get you, I can follow you in secret." She said happily

"But is that really want you to want Draconis? Following me to my world would probably be a one-way trip, and wouldn't your friends and family miss you? You worked so hard on your career and all that effort would go to waste. You'd also have to consider that they may not come for me at all. If they can't find a way to this dimension, they can have me teleported back home with 7 mystical orbs known as the Dragon Balls."

"Goten, all of the things I have here can be replaced. I can start up my career in your world, and garner more fans. I do have a family, but they would never accept my true self. Where I'm from, I'm expected to be a stoic warrior who is always standing tall. In Japan, I can show the other side of myself that i've always been suppressing. Also Dragon Balls? What sort of name is that?!"

"They're called Dragon Balls because when you gather all 7, they summon a Dragon known as Shenron who grants wishes. His power is limited, so even that's not guaranteed. There are several sets of Dragon balls throughout my universe, so if the Earth Dragon Balls don't work, they'll use the ones located on another planet and if that doesn't work, then they'll have to use the Super Dragon Balls which is capable of granting any wish without any restrictions."

"Firstly, the Super Dragon Balls? Such an artifact couldn't be so simple to obtain! Secondly, your friends and family are capable of traveling to other worlds? Goten, just how advanced is your society?"

"Well, it definitely helps to have the smartest woman on Earth as a family friend." Goten smiled before getting serious. "You're right about one thing. Getting their hands on the Super Dragon Balls probably won't be so easy. Even though my dad is friends with Gods, I don't think they'd give them to him just like that. You also have to know a certain language that mortals don't know to even summon that Dragon. At the end of the day, I am just a mortal, and I don't think the Gods would care about me." Goten's serious demeanor suddenly became much warmer and optimistic. "Then again, my dad IS friends with the Omni-King, so I can't lose hope yet!"

"Then what do you plan to do going forward."

"Now? I guess I'll just keep living with my host family. Yes, I am technically considered a liminal, but human rules still apply to me because no matter how you slice it, I look like a normal human."

"With all due respect, you by no means are a normal human."

Goten chuckled. "Yeah, I get that a lot."

Draconis chuckled. "Goten, whatever happens, I will accept your decision. I know you want to go home more than anything, and I will not stop you. However, you should know this. Goten, you were the first real connection I ever had. When I'm around you, I feel as if I don't have to hide parts of who I am. Like I can show you my whole self. Because whatever side I show you, you never treat me any differently. If you do leave, and I can't go with you, I only ask one thing of you. Please do not forget me."

Goten returned her smile. "I won't. Honestly, I've been really stressed because of all that superhero stuff, but spending time with you made it all worthwhile."

Draconis cheeks became red at what she just heard. "Oh, Goten, you flatter me!"

"You're the only person I can talk to like this. Think about it. We both have secret lives that we can't afford to have made public, and both of our private lives come with their own challenges. I think we should do this more often! I bet the whole Idol biz can be really tiring."

"Thank you so much, Goten! That means the world to me! Please, allow me to express my gratitude."

"Aw, I appreciate the offer Draconis, but you don't owe me a thing."

Draconis gave Goten puppy dog eyes. "Pleeeeease?"

"Okay, fine, you win."

"Excellent! Now please follow me!" Draconis took to the sky, and Goten followed her.

"It still comes as a surprise that you're able to keep up with my speed. Tell me, how did you learn your technique?"

"Oh, my big brother taught me. Man does time fly…"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to remind you of your separation."

"Oh, don't feel bad. I'm doing much better now! Besides, I'm not alone."

"If you don't mind me asking, what was your brother like?"

At this, Goten's eyes lit up as if he received a brand-new Christmas present. "My brother, Gohan was… no is an amazing person! He had a rough childhood, but he still managed to make a good life for himself and achieved his dream of being a scholar. That was his dream since he was a child, but he was forced into the life of a warrior. He hated fighting, but he did it anyway because he believed he didn't have a choice, and he had people he wanted to protect. He went through a lot of adventures with our Dad and at some point, a horrible monster known as Cell decided to host a martial arts tournament to decide the fate of the world. If he won, he would have destroyed it."
"Surely, you jest. It's not possible for someone to be that powerful."

"Oh, you'd be surprised at how many people back home could easily do that."

"I find that difficult to believe."

"Haha, well I don't blame you. Anyway, after my brother, Gohan started to overwhelm Cell, he got scared and tried to destroy the planet along with himself by self-destructing. My dad sacrificed his life to get him off the Earth." Goten said sadly. Though his father was alive now, telling this story reminded him of the 7 years of his life without a dad. He'd watch other kids, including his best friend Trunks, with their fathers and would look at them with sadness wondering what it would be like to have a dad."

"I'm sorry Goten. I wasn't aware you went through such a tragedy." Draconis gave an apologetic bow.

Goten started smiling again before speaking. "Things are okay now! Besides, my dad is alive and a part of the family now! Someone gave up their own life to bring him back from the dead. It's a shame that they lost their life, but I am so grateful to them for what they did! I grew up in a peaceful world and I had a happy childhood, but for the first 7 years of my life, my dad was absent from my life and I got sad after seeing other kids with their dads."

"I've heard of rituals that have the same effect. Most of which fall under dark magic. Did this person by chance practice black magic?"

"Hmm, I doubt it. You see, this guy was a divine entity, but he did it because he needed my dad alive to defeat someone who was a threat to the living universe and the heavens."

"Your father seems like an extraordinary warrior. He has my respect and admiration." If Draconis were human, she'd be less inclined to believe this. However, because she was a Dragon, she has experienced many different types of magic.

"You're right! He really is amazing! Sorry, I lost track of what I was talking about. Anyway, Cell came back, and almost killed Gohan, but at the end of the day, my brother came out on top. Of course, this story isn't known because someone else took credit for it."

This angered Draconis. "How dare they disrespect such a warrior?! If I find them, I shall claw out their throat!"

"Woah, Woah, Woah, calm down Draconis! It was all for the best! My brother never wanted that kind of attention. He just wanted to live a normal life, but that was taken from him at a young age. Yes, the guy did it for selfish reasons, but he wasn't a bad guy, and he really is a hero! Besides, my brother is happily married to his daughter and he's now a welcomed family member!"

"Fine, if you say so. I apologize. As a Dragon, I was raised to respect powerful warriors. As you could probably guess by now, I don't take kindly to warriors being dishonored."

"What is your culture like anyway? I knew a Dragon back in my world, but they couldn't talk, and they definitely didn't have a human form."

"Most of us Dragons are isolated creatures. We tend to find secluded areas where no human or liminal would ever dare to go and live on our lonesome. We're very territorial creatures and we often fight each other because of this. A dragon's diet depends on the kind, but in the case of my culture, we usually feast on cows or any other large animals. We've even preyed on sea creatures such as whales. We tend to avoid any sort of contact with those outside of our tribe. However, about a year ago I was sent to human society to find a certain someone to bring home. They are apparently blonde and possess an unquantifiable amount of strength far above any human or liminal species. Additionally, they use a sword."

"That's interesting. Why do you need this person?"

"I'm… unsure of the reasons, but I'm forbidden from my homeland until I can find this person. I committed a grave offense, and this is my punishment."

"I'm sorry to hear that. What did you even do for them to banish you like that?"

"I… I was really interested in humans. I heard so many rumors about them, and I wanted to see them for myself. I heard about their structures that touch the clouds, their technology that makes up for their lack of strength and magic, the variety of different cultures, and the various amounts of foods I can try!" Draconis's mouth watered after mentioning food. She shortly pulled herself together and explained further. "I may have gone to a human civilization without supervision in my normal form… I was shot at with these odd metal weapons and badly injured. I retaliated with my breath. Luckily, I didn't kill anyone, but I came very close to doing it. After seeing all the destruction, I caused, I felt absolutely appalled by what I had done! When I came back to my land, my superiors weren't happy with me. However, they still had a use for me. If I were to go back, then I would have to find a certain someone and bring them back to my tribe. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any leads. However, I think the person you fought might be the person I'm looking for. I'll have to investigate further lest I warp back to my society with the wrong person. After all, I only have one shot at this."

"Are you sure? I mean yeah, he's blonde and he does have super strength, but I'm pretty sure he was just a normal human before he became an android. If I'm being completely honest with you, I don't know much about the guy. All I know is he is… was in my best friend Trunks's class, he tried to beat me up out of nowhere that one time, and now he's here for some reason. He's apparently NOT here to bring me back and instead was a complete jerk and overall, an annoying person to deal with."

"What are these androids you speak of?"

"The Androids that I'm talking about are robots or cyborgs who were created by the old evil Red Ribbon army. They were once the most powerful military force, but they were defeated by my dad back when he was a kid. Some guy called Dr. Gero used to be a part of the Red Ribbon Army kidnapped two innocent people and turned them into Androids to kill my Dad."

"How cruel… I hope he got what was coming to him."

"I actually don't know what happened to him, but I do know he died somehow. Anyway, those two Androids are good guys now, and the Red Ribbon Army was pretty much gone until recently. You see, Dr. Gero had a Grandson by the name of Dr. Hedo who made Androids too, but instead of trying to take over the world, he wanted to make a Superhero. The guy I fought was one of his Androids."

"And I take it someone stuck it to him too?"

"Uh, I guess, but he really wasn't a bad guy. My childhood friend Trunks found a disc, and Hedo saw that his disc was missing. Trunks and myself were the main suspects so he sent his Androids after us. As it would turn out, he already got rid of the disc, and he only used the case to hold a photo signed by Cleangod. After this, Dr. Hedo and his androids were arrested. After getting out of jail, the Red Ribbon Army's remnants came back and used him to create Androids to kill my family and friends. He was told we were some evil organizations or something like that."

"Such a foolish man! How dare he!"

"Relax Draconis, he's one of the good guys now. Besides, those guys who tricked him are to blame and everything turned out fine in the end!" Said Goten not mentioning the fact that Hedo knew they were evil the whole time. He didn't know exactly who told him that lie about his family, but he knew from his conversation with Bulma."

"I'll believe you for now, but if anyone tries anything like that again, they will pay in blood."

"I-I see." Said Goten.

Draconis started to blush realizing she made the conversation awkward, so she decided to change the subject. "So who is this Cleangod?"

Goten's eyes once again lit up. "He's the most amazing superhero ever! He cleans up crime and never leaves a spec of dust! Man, I wish Cleangod existed in this world..." Goten said sadly. "Well, I guess there are other pieces of fiction out there in this world too, so it's not all bad!"

Draconis giggled. "I never took you as the type to be into that sort of thing. It sounds like something out of those human manga. I thought you'd be more similar to Asashi. Constantly obsessed with training, and getting stronger."

"Hahaha, my dad does enough training for the entire family. I trained too, but I usually had to study instead. My dad is always going beyond his limits to fight stronger opponents. As for me, I never really cared about becoming the strongest, or anything like that. I'd rather do things at my own pace, whether that be homework, training, fighting, or anything else. There is one person I'm trying to surpass."
"And just who is that Goten?"

"My best friend Trunks! He's a year older than me so he's always been a little stronger than me. Every time we'd spar, I would always lose to him! But last time, it may have been a brief sparring session, but we tied! That means I made progress! I still won't be satisfied until I beat him at least once! No more than once! I'm going to make sure I have the higher winning streak!"

"A rival is great motivation to get stronger! Someone to push you to your limits is always a great thing!" Draconis smiles as if she were reminiscing about something.

"It's hard to say if we're really rivals or not. I mean, we get competitive sometimes, but we aren't like our dads. Our dads have constantly tried to one-up each other since forever, and they still haven't stopped! Those two sure are impressive. Even though we aren't related, we're practically cousins at this point."

"I wish I could meet them."

"I bet you'd like them."

Draconis began descending to the ground, and Goten followed suit. They landed near a shrine where there weren't any people.

"So why did you take me here Draconis?"

"I wanted to thank you for not only keeping my secret but for being my friend even though I'm an Idol. If other people found out about my identity, they'd treat me differently, but not you. To you, I'm just Draconis, and you have no idea how much that means to me. Please Goten, would you listen to me sing?"

"Sure! I'd love to hear you for sure!"

Draconis smiled and began standing calmly before she started singing.

Music: Fate Grand Order Memorial Movie 2023 - flowers

Goten listened closely to the song. The lyrics resonated with Goten as they reminded him of home. The more Draconis sang, the more he thought about his world. He soon got to thinking of his ancestors, and how they were enslaved, forced to do evil things for the sake of a tyrant that he still didn't know the identity of, and ultimately the destruction of their planet. Yet despite all of this, the Saiyans survived and continued to live on through humanity, adapting to the new species they began to be assimilated into. For just a moment, Goten wondered what the Saiyans could have been if they were still alive to this day. Perhaps they would continue down the path of evil, or maybe they would turn over a new leaf and end up like the Saiyans in Cabba's universe. As a child, Goten believed his ancestors were all terrible people, but as he grew older, he began to think about it more rationally. 'How could a society function if everyone was evil? There had to be good Saiyans too!'. This thought was later reinforced when he met Vegeta's younger brother and Trunks's uncle, Tarble. Tarble was a kindhearted Saiyan who was banished for being weak, and unsuited for battle and conquest. On one hand, this didn't do any favors in terms of putting Saiyan society in a positive light, but the fact that Tarble was a Saiyan who was never aggressive from the beginning proved that not every Saiyan on Planet Vegeta was evil. Humans back in his world weren't that different. They were capable of great things and great evils. History showed that humans committed acts of genocide too albeit not on the same scale as the Saiyans. Despite this, humans never stopped improving as a species. There was no doubt in Goten's mind that other species and races were similar too. Goten was never one to judge someone for their race or species, but everything he learned about Saiyans, humans, and other races across his universe only reinforced his beliefs that there is no such thing as an evil species. Only evil people who happen to be a part of said species. As such, Goten did not hate his race despite the many crimes they were responsible for. Despite thinking this, the thought of resurrecting the Saiyans with the Dragon Balls never occurred to him. In fact, the thought still didn't occur to him. He was born to a human woman, and it wasn't like he was the only Saiyan either. What happened to the Saiyans was undeniably tragic, but at the very least, they still managed to make a future for themselves. A better future. Goten couldn't help be be proud of his race. 'Proud... Is this what Saiyan pride is?'. Goten wondered.

Music ends

Draconis only got about halfway through the song before she finished singing to which Goten applauded her.

"Wow Draconis, that was amazing! I guess it makes sense that you have such a nice singing voice! No wonder you have so many fans! Thanks for sharing your song with me. It meant a lot more than you know."

Draconis giggled. "Well, I'm glad I could be of service to you. That was a sample of one of my new songs. I hope you enjoyed it."

"It was great Draconis! Is there a hidden meaning behind the song though? Do you miss Dragon culture or something like that?"

Draconis sighed. "I do. Human culture is great, and I began to love it more than my own culture. I even started to love using this body more than my natural form. Meals are much more filling, I don't have to eat as much to feel satisfied, and I don't have to hunt my food. Be this as it may, I am still a Dragon and no matter how long I stay here, in human society, Dragon culture will always be a part of me. Back home I was respected as a warrior, the daughter of a powerful warrior, and I was renowned for my magical prowess. When I was exiled, I lost all of that, but then I gained a lot from human culture."

"So, you feel conflicted?"

"Yes, that's exactly how I feel! I love human culture, but being a Dragon is what I've always been, and Dragon culture has been all I knew for most of my life. I've been in Japan for around a year or two by human standards, but I still know so little about human culture. I somehow managed to become an Idol and because I'm known to be a Dragon, people pay tribute to me too. I'm not a fan of being put on a pedestal, but at first, I felt like I needed it to a certain extent. Even in the form, I stay in currently, I still must consume a lot more than a normal human. Things weren't much different back home either. I was the daughter of a powerful warrior and to live up to his legacy, I had to act tough all the time. I couldn't show a girly side otherwise I wouldn't be taken seriously as a warrior! Still, I loved my father and I didn't want to dishonor him, training was fun, and I always enjoyed a good battle. If I went back home, I'd get all of that back, but then I'd lose everything in Japan that I gained. I hate the fact that I can't be both. Yet when I'm around you, I feel as if you'd accept any part of me."

"Well of course I would! You will always just be Draconis to me! The enjoyment of training and fighting also runs in my family, so that just goes to show we have a lot more in common. As for your girly side, I appreciate that too!

"But if you had to pick, which side of me do you prefer? A girl who loves training and fighting, or a girl who enjoys dolls, and wearing pretty dresses."

"You're still wondering about that? Well, I don't prefer either. I like both sides of you Draconis. First of all, I may not be interested in Idols as a whole, but I will support you specifically. Secondly, both my dad and my brother married women with a martial arts background, so that's not exactly an undesirable trait for me."

Draconis took this as an opportunity to tease Goten in an attempt to make him flustered. "Oh? And how would you feel about marrying me then?"

"Honestly, you are a beautiful woman and I do like you as a person, but we haven't known each other that long. Besides, I'll be going back to my old world someday. Even if you somehow managed to follow me, I'd feel guilty about taking you away from everything you had. You would be better off finding someone better than me."

"Hahaha, you're so serious. I was merely jesting. I must say, you didn't react quite like I imagined. I expected you to get all flustered about marriage. I never understood why you humans get so embarrassed about such a custom. Us Dragons usually find a partner the mate with, and then we leave it at that. It's quite common that there isn't any love involved, but simply a need to reproduce. We don't have a thing such as marriage. I actually still have a little trouble understanding the concept, but I understand the basics. It's sharing your life with the one you love right?"

"Yeah, that about sums it up."

"That sounds romantic but risky. Using such a spell means if one person in the relationship dies, so will the other. In a way, I suppose that is beautiful, but true love means you want to see your partner live on even if it's without you."

Goten sweatdropped at her understanding of marriage. This girl wasn't as bad as her dad but she thought marriage was literally having a shared life like Kami and Piccolo once had. "Draconis… When people say marriage is sharing their life together, they don't mean literally sharing their life force together, but living together, sharing meals together, and maybe even having children together."

"Oh, so that's what marriage means! That's similar to finding a mate. It's just such a casual thing that we don't have a ceremony for, but I understand things are different here. No wonder marriage is such a big deal to you humans. And to think I so casually suggested that we…" She wasn't embarrassed about the implication of her mating with Goten. If anything, she wondered how that would even work. Her true form was a Dragon, so she didn't know if reproduction would work with a human-like person such as Goten. In truth, it was merely a joke she said in an in effort to tease him and make him flustered. This backfired as the idea of living with Goten as an actual couple made her red in the face. They had just met and Goten was her first real friend. However, she was unsure if she had romantic feelings towards him. Whatever the case was, he was very important to her.

Noticing that she was starting to get embarrassed, Goten tried to reassure her. "It's okay Draconis. It was a nice thought. Besides, you were right about one thing. True love is wanting to see your partner live on even if you can no longer be a part of their life. To be able to accept them finding happiness without you and still being happy for them. That's about as romantic as it gets."

Draconis smiled before realizing something. Goten had called her a beautiful woman. Surely he was just referring to her human form right? She wasn't going to transform here, but she wanted to see how he really felt. So she asked him a question that caused her own cheeks to go red. "Goten, did you call me beautiful earlier?"

"Yes, I did say that."

"Aren't you even a little embarrassed? Guys have complimented me before, but they always look so flustered when they do. Why aren't you?"

"Draconis, you're a beautiful woman. Anyone with eyes can see that. Why should I be embarrassed about that?"

"Would you still say that to me if I showed you my true form? You know my true form is a giant Dragon who's as massive as one of those huge structures you humans occupy. If you saw me in that form, would you still call me beautiful?"

"Real form or not, you'd still be beautiful. When I called you beautiful, was talking about who you are as a person, and I know you well enough to know that you're a good person. You do your best to please your fans, and you don't hate them even when they don't have your best interests in mind. That's why I called you beautiful."

"I-Well!" Draconis became highly flustered. "It would seem another place requires my presence. I must practice for my next concert. Goodbye, Son Goten!" She then began to fly away flustered as Goten waved at her.

"Bye Draconis!"

Later

It was 8:15 PM and Goten decided to sleep early as he knew he had school tomorrow. He was sleeping peacefully, as he thought about the many things he could look forward to in this world. There were so many things he could do here that he never would get the chance to do whenever he went home and he planned to take advantage of the fact. He was going to have pleasant dreams tonight."

*Crash*

Goten was awoken by the sound of a window breaking, which greatly frustrated the Saiyan. He left his bedroom and investigated where the noise came from. The one door that was open was Kimihito's door. It was actually more than open. It was sliced up.

Goten rubbed his eyes before yelling. "Hey! What's going on in there?! Some of us are trying to get some sleep here!"

As it would turn out, what he saw was a shirtless Rachnera.

"You naughty boy~ You know it's rude to peak at a woman after she's undressed."

"Hey, that wasn't my fault! I don't know why you're in Kimihito's room and that's not really my business, but did you seriously have to break the door and the window too?!" Seriously, I swear my eardrums are busted now!"

"That wasn't my doing. Our mutual four-legged friend sliced open the door and took off running with honey."

"Why use the window though? We have a door for a reason…"

"I'm afraid the reason as to why we do that is classified information."
"Ah, I got it. Welp, I'm going back to sleep."

"Before you go there's something I need to tell you."

"Okay, what is it?"

Rachnera walked up to Goten and bent down. "This." She whispered in Goten's ear before tying up Goten in her webs.

"I enjoyed our time together, but I'm afraid I'll be taking my leave now." Rachnera waved to Goten before leaving the room through the window.

"Really?" Said an unamused Goten.

Rachnera would go on to follow Kimihito and Centorea as the centaur would try to get Kimihito away from her. Centorea reflected on her judgment towards Rachnera until they ran into the racist couple again.

"Well, Well! Check out that massive rack! But that horse's ass! That's freaking gross!" Said the blonde male.

"Isn't that a Centaur? Can you even screw one of those things?! HAHAHAHA!"

"Not these jerks again… They even brought friends this time around." Said Kimihito.

"She's more like a cow with those tits!"

"No kidding! I wanna milk er!"

"That sounds good! I'll do that! I'll do that!"

"Hey, stop that!" Kimihito exclaimed.

"Wait Master. I don't understand what their saying, but we should get out of here."

"IS THAT HER BOYFRIEND?" Said the woman

"There ain't no way a scrawny boy can keep her satisfied!" Said the blonde man.

They group continued to make comments until Centorea snapped.

"I AM GOING TO SLICE YOU IN TWO!"

"Uh oh, be careful! You monsters aren't allowed to attack people remember?

Centorea gasped.

"You don't wanna get deported now do you?!"

Kimihito was grabbed from behind.

"Master no!" Said Centorea. She was then grabbed by multiple hands.

"We can forget about the bottom half anyway! Those titties will be enough for all of us!" Said the blonde man as he attempted to grope Centorea. He laughs in glee until he finds himself tied up by Rachnera.

"What the hell?!"

"Well, what do we have here?" Said a familiar spider woman. "Have you been playing naughty games without me?"

"Hey, you know the law! You're not allowed to hurt me! If I go to the authorities, you uh… uhhh."

"You really think you're going to have that chance my friend?"

The man fainted as Rachnera smiled. "Honestly, why we're you letting that sniveling gaggle of vermin have their way with you?"

"I had to. Causing harm to humans is illegal."

"Only if you get caught."

"Ahem. Well anyway, thank you for that. If not for you Master and I wouldn-"

"Only I get to torment you. Understand honey?" Said Rachnera who had just covered Kimihito's mouth in webs.

Centorea gasped in shock.

"Now lets get a nice room somewhere shall we?"

Centorea stomped Rachnera's face into the ground and hugged Kimihito tightly.

"Ow! That wasn't funny dear! You could have killed me with those hooves of yours."

"I-I am grateful to you, and I don't mean to discriminate, but even so I STILL HATE YOU! You mustn't toy with him! He's not some plaything, he's my master! As his servant, I cannot watch him endure this!" Centorea accidentally cracks Kimihito's back. "Oh my God what have I done?! And right after she rescued me too. I should return to my homeland. Thank you for everything Master."

"Woah, calm down!" Sai Kimihito finally getting a word in.

Rachnera began giggling. "I see you're finally speaking your mind. You're too serious. You know that? It bothers me when people try to put up a good front. Like how you said you had no objections even though you were scared of me? Just be honest. I know I'm a giant spider. I'm dangerous enough to do this." She gestured to the group of people she scared the life out of. "It's natural to be wary, but is it discrimination? You can like and dislike what you wish. If you find you dislike me, well that's normal. Pretending to get along just makes you a hypocrite. It's all right for you not to like me." Rachnera moved away from Centorea. "Now then, why don't we head back home? Spinning all that thread made me hungry." Oh? Okay, I'll make something for dinner."

Centorea observed Rachnera and decided that even if she didn't like her, she could at least trust her. Suddenly they were interrupted by a blonde teenager.

"Hello. You must be Kimihito Kurusu."

"Yeah, that's me. What's up?"

"You are Kimihito Kurusu, the host family of Son Goten, correct?"

"Um yeah, that's right. Are you a friend of his from school?"

"No, but you can say we're acquaintances. You can call me Beytah."

"Right. How can I help you Beytah?"

"How would you feel about Son Goten being taken off your hands? I assure you; you will be properly compensated. You see, I've been observing your little friend and we believe he may be an android created by my boss. If he was created by someone else, then he must be confiscated as that would make him a potential threat. As such, Son Goten belongs to us."

"Surely, you're mistaken! I would appreciate it if you didn't speak such drivel to my master!"

"Oh, but it's all true. Surely you noticed him flying around before? Well, I have recorded proof of him doing so. That should be enough to prove he isn't human."

"Dude, we all saw Goten flying, but it's not like he tries to hide it, and there are other species that can do that too. You're not exactly proving anything."

"Androids are not all robots, there are different types. Perhaps the term 'artificial humans' would be more accurate. He may act and function like a normal human, but that's all in his programming. Even his memories are most likely artificial. I've been watching him and I'm sure we can agree that he isn't human. However, have you considered that perhaps he isn't a natural being either? After all, It's not possible for a living being to exceed the speed of light without technology and yet we found that this boy has far exceeded this level of speed. A long time ago, my Master made an attempt to clone a person revered as a legend, but that project was discontinued. It's unknown where the clone is at this very moment, but it's very possible that Goten is that very clone. What's more is, that person was believed to be an alien, but there was no confirmation of that."

Kimihito wasn't an expert on physics, but he knew that even with technology, humans at the very least haven't come up with anything that allows them to travel at this speed. As for what he was talking about, Kimihito had no clue.

"So, you're the one that boy was hiding from? How odd, and to think he ran away from you, yet wasn't even slightly afraid of me. I must say, I don't understand why." Said Rachnera.

"So, you're the stalker Goten was telling me about? Why are you following him around?" Said Kimihito.

"That's none of your concern! All I will say is my master believes he will be important for the future of this world."

"Even if Goten wanted to go with you, what would you do with him?"

"It's simple really. For one, we will ensure nothing wrong with his programming, and install a mind control device if necessary. After all, if nothing is done, he could malfunction and kill you all. On the off chance that he wasn't created by my master, I will convince him to join our side and have him help us achieve our goal, and believe me, it's in his best interest that he accepts. I witnessed what happened here." He turned to Centorea. "Those scumbags tried to molest you, yet it's illegal for you to defend yourself from such loathsome garbage. They more than likely would have got off scot-free while you would be deported. Rest assured; Japan isn't the only society that needs to change. In countless countries across the world, criminals will get away with horrid actions all because the government fails its citizens. Are you aware of how many murders are pardoned, how many people get away with trafficking others, and the countless amount of those who have raped people and have not received their comeuppance? The world my master and I plan to create is a world without criminals, and my master believes your friend might be the key to meeting that end. But first, a demonstration must be made." Beytah began charging up an energy wave at one of the friends of the racist couple.

"Wait no!" Kimihito grabbed his arm. "What are you doing?!"

"I'm exterminating the vermin, what does it look like?"

"Wait, you don't have to do that! The problem has already been solved! There's no need for that!" Kimihito replied.

"Tch, you're just as foolish as Goten. Very well, I'll leave them alive, and we'll see what happens. After my point is proven, I will come back to execute them. Now, what is your answer? Will you allow Goten to come with us? After all, I'm sure you wouldn't want to be around someone so dangerous. Think of your other homestays and what could happen should he malfunction."

"Sorry pal, but the answer is no! Goten is his own person, and he can make decisions for himself, but you clearly don't have his best interests at heart. Even if what you're saying is true, I know Goten well enough to know that he would never want to hurt people nor would he take advantage of his powers. He's a good kid, and he's not some tool for you to use. And he's certainly not an android either, a clone, or whatever you're saying he is! " Of course, Kimihito knew Goten was a Saiyan but he wasn't going to say that. He believed his words much more than this random teenager who showed up out of nowhere.

"You say that but have you considered that maybe this is for the best? This, 'Goten' is far more powerful than you know. Should he fall into the hands of the wrong organization, he can be a threat to this entire planet. Tell me, do you think you have what it takes to protect him? Because I know for a fact that we have the necessary means to succeed in such a task. Even if you say no, I'm sure it's nothing money can't fix." He smirked smugly.

Rachnera tied up Beytah. "Oh? And tell me, when do you think you'll have the time to do that? Can your precious money save you now? Now why don't you be a good boy and tell me exactly what you're planning."

"Who said I need to be saved from the likes of you?" Beta 1 instantly broke out of the threads he was tied up in and then he fired a blast that barely missed Rachnera's face, causing a small explosion against a random wall, walked by her, and whispered something in her ear. "You're lucky you're a friend of Son Goten, otherwise that would have been your head. It would do me no good to eliminate someone who is a friend of Son Goten." And with that, Beta 1 walked away, leaving Rachnera in shock. Centorea Got in front of both of them while wielding her sword in a defensive position.

"What was that dude's problem?! He could have killed her and maybe someone else too!" Said Kimihito.

"Master, though I don't appreciate what that scoundrel has done, but perhaps his words do have some credence. About the identity of Son Goten, I mean. Perhaps he's not exactly what this person claimed he was, but it is awfully suspicious that he asked Ms. Smith about aliens before talking to you in private. Unless it's detrimental to your safety, I will not intrude on either you or Goten's privacy, but I will say this much. Whatever this person was, he wasn't human either. Did you see the back of his neck?"

"Uh, no I really wasn't paying much attention to it. I was too flabbergasted at what he almost did to Rachnera."

"The middle portion of his neck was rotten, and it was stitched to his neck. I was watching closely, and whatever he fired at Rachnera wasn't from a weapon, it was from his hands. Additionally, he was blonde. Could this person be the one who was described on the news? He had blonde hair, so he matched the description of the one who attacked that mysterious vigilante known as Saiyaman X2. He also has some sort of connection to Goten, so there's a possibility that he knows him better than all of us. Perhaps we should ask him about him. This is worthy of an investigation."

"I could see him not being a human, but an android. Come on Cerea!" Said Kimihito trying to play it off. He didn't want to expose Goten after he made it clear why he's not telling people about his species."

"What a buzzkill that one was. He didn't have to go that far." Said Rachnera.

"Come on everyone, let's go home." Said Kimihito and with that, they all returned to his house. Of course, by then Goten was already fast asleep, so asking him anything was out of the question. When morning arrived, things were awkward. Mostly Centorea, and Rachnera. They were currently eating breakfast, but Goten couldn't help but notice Centorea staring right at him.

"Centorea, is there something wrong?"

"Goten, by any chance do you know a young man by the name of Beytah?"

"Oh, not him again… Did he do something stupid again?"

"He nearly killed Rachnera, and he mentioned getting you to join him for some insane cause. He wanted you to help him and the person he was working with to rid the world of criminals." Said Centorea.

"When you put it like that, it doesn't sound so bad but this guy plans to kill them all which I just can't accept. If they were trying to make a civilization where everyone could be happy and there was no reason to commit crimes, I would be happy to support them, but that's not what they're planning. Don't get me wrong, I understand that killing is necessary sometimes, but not something anyone should strive to do. Fighting is in my blood, but just because I like to fight doesn't mean I like the idea of killing people, especially when I know I don't have to resort to that."

"He gave me quite the scare. I can see why you were running from him. If I were you, I'd choose my friends more carefully."

"Friends? You're making a lot of assumptions here." Goten sighed. "Believe it or not, he's from my world, and even back home, we were more like acquaintances than anything else. All I knew about him was that he was in my best friend Trunks's class. My experience with him wasn't great. He dressed up in a cringy superhero outfit and he tried to attack me after I lifted a car because he thought I stole Dr. Hedo's disc, then my friend Trunks jumped in, and that same random guy who attacked me and ended up almost killing the other students. He got suspended for this incident, but they still allowed him to go to the dance. Long story short, we found Dr. Hedo, he ran, we chased him, and he tried to use a robotic dinosaur against us, We beat the dinosaur, and Hedo, Beytah, and the rest of his androids got arrested. Months later, they were let out. Some things happened and Dr. Hedo ended up working for my best friend's mom."

"You lifted a car?" Miia asked.

"It was out of instinct. Ever since I was a kid, I have always been strong compared to most people. Growing up, the people around me could do stuff like that too, so I never even considered hiding it before. Eventually, flying just became a natural thing like walking or drinking, and then suddenly I'm no longer being homeschooled, and I have to hide my powers, for the privacy of my family."

"So that's what you meant when you told me you were free to do things that you couldn't do back home." Said Kimihito.

Goten nodded. "I know it might be too much to ask, but I guess you can say I wanted to have my cake and eat it too. I just wanted to live a normal life while at the same time, not having to hide who I am. I may be open about this specifically, but there are still some things I'm just not ready to tell people yet. Like how and why I ended up here in the first place."

"Why is this Beytah character here? Did he come to take you back to wherever you came from?" asked Rachnera. She still didn't believe the whole coming here from another world, but she wanted information on whoever it was who threatened her.

"I'm not sure Rachnee, but I can tell you that he isn't here to bring me back. In fact, he's the guy I was avoiding when we first met."

"So, I was correct in my assumption. After dealing with him, I can see why I was the least of your worries when I captured you. If he has you afraid, then this must be serious. We should take care of him."

"I'm not scared of him, I avoided him because I was tired of him," Goten said with an annoyed face. "He followed me around all day and tried to beat me up out of nowhere again. At that point, I was so frustrated that I punched him in the gut and left. I decided to walk home to relieve myself of stress and that's when you caught me. I did my best not to do too much damage, so I don't know if I knocked him out, but I really didn't want to see his face again. I was so aggravated that I didn't even care enough to try to escape. That was a stressful day for me…"

"Oh, I apologize for the misfortune that befell you. Is there anything we can do for you?" Said the mermaid

"I'm fine now Mero. Thank you for worrying about me though."

" You did the right thing Goten! He deserved it! In fact, you should have hit him harder!" Miia exclaimed.

"Normally I would discourage such actions, however, it would seem you endured this for quite a while. A good warrior knows how to fight, but a great warrior knows when to fight. You did well to not resort to violence until you saw there were no other options." Centorea knew from personal experience that this person was definitely dangerous. Still, she was curious about how Goten apparently managed to defeat such a foe. He managed to effortlessly escape Rachnera's webs and if her theory was correct, he was the mysterious blonde person who attacked Saiyaman X2.

"Yeah, well if I see him again, we're going to have words. Call me if he threatens any of you again because I'm done being nice and he should know by now that he can't beat me. If he does anything, I'll make sure he doesn't get up for a while."

"Yes, I should take you up on that offer. He was pretty insufferable with all his talk about injustice." Said Rachnera

"Tell me about it… Well anyway, I gotta head out. Bye!" Said Goten

"Wait, Goten. Would you mind if I went with you?" Centorea suggested.

"Uh, sure, I don't see why not. Is something wrong? You never did this before." Goten was confused by her sudden suggestion.

"Centorea, you know you can't be out there without a host and when Goten goes to school, you can't just follow him." Said Kimihito.

"I know that! It's just… I'm worried about him. That person we saw yesterday showed the same abilities as Goten and implied there were more like him. I do not doubt that Goten is strong, but even someone who is strong can be caught off guard. I do not know the extent of Goten's strength, but if whoever we saw was around as strong as Goten, then he could easily be outnumbered if he's left alone."

"I see. Well, I can go with you. We'll walk Goten to school together. Does that sound good?"

"Y-Yes! I would be honored master!"

And with that, they all walked together to Goten's school. Centorea wanted to hold Kimihito's hand but was too nervous to try it. As for Goten, she wondered if this was what it was like to have a child. He was playful, talkative, and childlike yet simultaneously mature for his age. He also was very kindhearted and did not discriminate against anyone. She couldn't help but be drawn to the boy. On the way to the school, Centorea had some questions for Goten.

"Goten, I apologize if this comes across as an odd question, but what can you tell us about these androids? This Beytah person mentioned them and you did as well."

"Well, there are different types of androids. There are straight-up robots, the ones created from corpses, and some of them are modified humans. The two I know the most about are Android 17 and Android 18. They used to be normal humans until an evil scientist kidnapped them and turned them into androids against their will. He would go on to program to murder my dad."

"How awful! Such a villain must be brought to justice! To force innocent souls to commit such a vile action is a crime worthy of divine punishment!"

"Oh, he was. He ended up being killed. Both Android 17 and Android 18 made it a game to hunt and kill my dad, but they gave that up after an incident with a monster known as Cell who was created by the same guy who turned them into Androids. Now, they're both living peaceful lives. Android 18 is married to my dad's childhood friend Krillin, and Android 17 is a park ranger who also has his own family." Goten gave off a bright smile. "It goes to show you that anyone can change."

Centorea thought about asking him if he were an android or not, but seeing as Beytah said his memories may be artificial too, she figured it could break him if this were true. She decided to ask talk about the legend who defeated a Demon King instead.

"He also mentioned something about a Demon King."

"Yeah, what's that about?" Kimihito added.

"Hmmm... Demon King, Demon King, Demon King... The only thing I can think of is Piccolo's old title. You see, King Piccolo used to be a bad guy who wanted to take over the world. He caused a lot of mayhem around the world and killed many people. My dad beat him by punching a hole through his sternum."

Kimihito cringed at the graphic detail, but Centorea remained stoic.

Goten continued. "Before he died, he coughed out an egg, that his son, Piccolo Jr. would hatch out of."

"Um, he coughed out an egg? As in he gave birth?" Kimihito asked.

"Yep! Anyway, Piccolo Jr. trained for years to get revenge against my dad. They fought in the 23rd Worlds Martial Arts Tournament, and after a long and hard-fought battle, my Dad beat him. Instead of killing him, my Dad chose to spare him even after he almost killed him. Eventually, he became one of the good guys and has helped save the world a countless number of times. He actually helped recently too. He unlocked this huge orange form and fought a monster known as Cell Max. I was knocked out, so I didn't get to see how the fight ended, but apparently, my brother unlocked some crazy power and dealt the final blow! Man, I wish I could've seen it!" Said Goten disappointed."

"Your father sounds like an honorable warrior worthy of respect. To show mercy for one who made an attempt on his life, and to influence him to become a better person. Your father is undoubtedly a special man and a true inspiration. You must be proud to call him your father."

"You bet I am! As for Piccolo, it was actually my big brother that convinced him to give up evil. None of this would have been possible if my dad didn't spare him. It just goes to show you that it pays to be merciful." Goten smiled and then he noticed they arrived at their destination. "Oh, I'm here! Bye Kimihito, Bye Centorea!

"Stay safe Goten!" Centore exclaimed

"Bye!" Kimihito simply waved

Later… Goten's first day back at school was as normal as could be. Of course, Asashi was there, and he mentioned that he'd be trying out a new gym as he had been doing some individual training and wanted to see how much stronger he got. He did not see Mizuki on this day despite them having the same lunch. Goten ever wondered if he confessed to the girl he liked as he said he would. Draconis seemed to be avoiding him for reasons he assumed were to take away any suspicion from her. Melody would admit to what she'd done in the past with her enchanting voice with a public apology. She tried to mend the broken relationships she caused, but everything wasn't all fine and dandy. Things were still tense between students, and a good amount of people were hurt by her actions. Still, she took consolation in doing the right thing for once. She was allowed to stay but she would have after-school detention for a while. As for her host family, he accepted her with open arms. When Goten would find himself going home early as it was a Monday and he wanted to finish his homework to avoid doing it at the last minute. When Goten got into Kimihito's house using his set of keys, he noticed that the house wasn't as lively as it usually was. In fact, no one was there to be seen.

"Guys? Where is everyone? Come on, this isn't funny!" Goten would look around more until he heard voices from Kimihito's room. 'So that's where they are.' Goten thought. He knocked on the door. "Hey, it's me Goten! What's happening in there?"

"My master has caught a cold!"

"Oh no! Here, let me help!" Goten entered and saw Kimihito. He was laying in his bed looking very sickly. "I'm sorry Kimihito. I hope you feel better soon. Here, take this." Goten's hands are enveloped in a light. Remembering what Beytah did last night, Centorea clenched her sword out of fear. She didn't truly believe Goten would kill her Master, but instincts took over. However, before a move could be made, a light enveloped Kimihito, and as Goten was in the process, Ms Smith crashed through the wall.

"Stop right there! Ladies! You must evacuate quickly! That goes for you too Goten! Darling may be contaminated. We have to quarantine him! We're responding to a severe threat of virus mutation. If a new virus from a human mutates, and is transmitted to non-human species, it can be a threat to all non-humans!" Smith boldly claimed.

"Hey, I feel much better! What did you do Goten?" Said Kimihito.

"I lent you some of my energy. You should still get plenty of rest."

Smith looked over at Kimihito and began sweating as this was all just an excuse to get away from her paperwork.

"Thank you so much, Goten! I don't know wh- he was interrupted by his own coughs."

"You really should get some rest. I can't actually heal you or cure your sickness, but this little bit of energy I gave you should make you feel a little better. Well, if you'll excuse me, I'll go grab something to eat! And while I'm at it, let me get you something too Kimihito. You've done a lot for me, and I want to repay you. Before Goten could even get past the door, he was grabbed by Miia's tail and brought into a hug. It wasn't just Miia who hugged him.

"Awww, you're so sweet Goten! I don't know what we'd do without you!" Said Miia.

"Goten, that was so cool!" Said Papi.

"I am truly grateful for helping my Master. Please, allow me to express my gratitude." Said Centorea.

"You're such a reliable young man aren't you?" Said Rachnera.

"Yay, master will be okay!" Said Suu

"I must say, I am curious about the spell you used." Said Mero.

"Oh, this? Well, I just transferred my ki to him. There's no point in hiding it because we live together and it's not like I have to keep my powers a secret anymore. Basically, ki is your life force, meaning every living being has it."

"What?! Don't think I'm not grateful to you for saving my master, but you shouldn't throw away your life so easily!" Centorea exclaimed.

"Relax Centorea, there's no consequences for me doing this. I only gave a small percentage of my own energy, and it will come back to me in no time! You run with Kimihito for exercise, right? Well, I'm sure that by the time you're done, you won't have as much stamina as you did when you started, but over time you regain your stamina. In my case, what I just did was no different than the amount of energy I would use to lift my finger."

"T-That's a relief."

"Anyway, ki is something that you can learn to control, and when you do, you can become faster, stronger, more durable, and even fly and use techniques like I can. Of course, not many people know about this. Even in my world, it was kind of rare, which is why I had to hide my powers at school. Now? There's no need. Worst-case scenario, people think I'm an unknown demi-human which isn't completely wrong. If the police try to stop me, I can just show them my status, and BAM! Problem solved!"

"Are you suggesting that anyone can use this power?"

"I am. My sister-in-law managed to learn how to use it in like two days! She did have a martial arts background though, and that might have something to do with it. The length of what it takes to learn how to use ki can take a few days to possibly even years. It all depends on the person. I already taught one person because I wanted a training partner and right now, he can at least do this." Goten summoned a blue orb of energy out of his palm.

"Wow, it's pretty!" Said Papi.

"It's so sparkly!" Suu added.

"I can train alone, but it's much more enjoyable to do it with someone," Goten added.

"I see, then perhaps we can train together someday?"

"I would love that Centorea!"

"Now, wait just a minute! Darling may be better now, but he still has a cold and therefore must be he still must be quarantined." She turned to Goten. "As for you, we need to speak in private." Said Ms. Smith.

"Okay! Girls, I'll be back soon okay!"

"The girls nodded and went back to the living room.

Goten and Smith would meet in a room where nobody was present.

Do you know anything about that Saiyaman X2 person? Or the person who fought him?" Said Smith.

"Well yeah, Saiyaman X2 saved people from a bunch of robbers. He seems like a really cool guy!"

"You know, Saiyaman X2 did the same thing you just did."

"What, you mean this?" Goten demonstrated his blue orb again."

Ms. Smith nodded. "He's still a mystery. We don't know what he is, or where he came from, but we do know he can fly and use the same blue ball of energy that you did. That's rather curious, isn't it?"

"Yeah, that is pretty interesting… Wait, are you saying you think I'm Saiyaman X2?"

"It's up in the air, and there's no proof, but you can say I have my suspicions. You can fly, but then again, so can many other liminals. However, there aren't many liminal species that can do what you and those two people we found the other day did, and your build is very similar to Saiyaman X2 as well. Additionally, the other one had blonde hair, but Saiyaman X2 was unidentifiable. However, if you're really insisting that every living being can do this, some proof would help us in our investigation."

"Well, there's my friend from school, but he's definitely not Saiyaman X2. I only taught him a little bit, and there's no way that he managed to learn how to do what was described on the news that fast."

"I see, Well then that leaves you."

"All right, let's say I was Saiyaman X2. What would you do? Would you try to arrest me?"

"Well, normally I would be required to, but assuming you are Saiyaman X2, it should be okay as long as we keep it a secret. If you are indeed Saiyaman X2, keeping your identity hidden would make life easier for both of us. I don't get paid enough to deal with someone like him again."

"Um, isn't that a little too irresponsible for you to outright say that?"

"Oh? I would argue the opposite. Even if you were Saiyaman X2, it didn't slip past me when you said people wouldn't be wrong to assume you were some unknown demi-human. Assuming this is the case, the charges of hurting a liminal would be dropped. However, you would still have to deal with the other charges. I wasn't too thrilled about him ruining our operation and making my team look like complete and utter fools. However, Saiyaman X2 isn't that big of a deal. At least not in the grand scheme of things, he isn't. Our main target is the one he fought or rather cases that were similar to him. He wore a suit, but we could see his skin and his hair. He claimed to be a zombie, but his skin was smooth, and he looked just like a normal human teenager. His strength, however, was anything but human. He almost slaughtered my team, but Saiyaman X2 saved them. If you are Saiyaman X2, I would like to thank you for what you've done."

Goten was about to say 'You're welcome' but stopped himself from saying that. "All right, so what's the point in telling me all this?"

"There have been many cases all around the world of humans with absurd strength kidnapping humans and liminal alike. This started about a year ago. At first, it only happened to people with a questionable past, and more times than not, they were brutally murdered. However, the kidnapping started happening to innocent people around the world non-discriminately never to be seen again. No one knows what happens to their victims. An incident was covered on the news once. These strange people who looked human but were anything but kidnapped some liminal. They somehow managed to save them, and we managed to capture the culprits. However, they easily escaped and made quick of their captors. It was almost as if they let themselves get caught for some reason."

"Hey, I think I remember hearing about that!"

"I know I don't have the greatest reputation; you might even call me irresponsible. However, I do take my job seriously, and I really do care about the future of human and non-human relationships. We recently found that in some of these cases, these superhumans resemble previous victims, some of whom are non-human species. They seem to be following the orders of an unknown individual."

"That does sound bad, but what does that have to do with me particularly?"

"My co-worker, Zombina mentioned something very interesting. She mentioned you thought it was surprising that she was a non-android zombie. She laughed it off at the time, but whomever we fought during our operation not only claimed to be a zombie but also the masterwork of some great doctor. That's quite the coincidence."

'Oh crap?! Did I say too much?!' Goten thought. "All right, I did say something like that. If I'm being honest, there is someone like that in this world. You see, he's an android created by someone by the name of Dr. Hedo. I barely know the guy, but I know he works for Hedo who works for my best friend's mom now. I'm pretty sure he's one of the zombie-like androids who used to be dead humans but were brought back with science and turned into Androids. I still don't know what he's doing here. Normally I would assume he was sent by Hedo to bring me back to my world, but he made it clear that he's not here for that."

"I see. Is there anything else you can tell me about these Androids? And while you're at it, who exactly is this person."

"I tell you a little bit, but if I'm being honest with you, my knowledge is very limited. Here's what I do know. Around 33 years ago, my dad single-handedly defeated a powerful and evil army known as the Red Ribbon Army. An evil scientist named Dr. Gero who once worked for that army spent years watching my dad and his friends and he created androids specifically to kill my dad out of revenge. These two androids were originally two innocent humans that the Dr kidnapped all for his petty revenge. I don't know all the details, but he ended up dying. However, before he died, he created a monster known as Cell that wreaked havoc all around the world and threatened to destroy the entire planet. Cell hosted a martial arts tournament. If he won, he would destroy the planet but my older brother Gohan ended up killing him and putting an end to his reign of terror. As for current Androids being made, they're made by Dr. Gero's grandson, Dr. Hedo. He started by grave robbing and turning corpses into androids. He ended up getting arrested for this, but he let these Androids return to their families and they requested that his sentence be lowered. Months later, he would be let out of jail. He did cause trouble one other time after this, but he's a changed man now. The person I was referring to is actually one of the corpses that were turned into androids. I won't say more than that because he's not someone you can handle. Anyway, that's all I can say for now. I know you probably have a lot to deal with, so I'll leave it at this, but we need to talk about this at another time. We should work together on this case. I'll tell you what I know, and you'll tell me what you know."

"Excellent! Your insight was very useful. I'll be glad to work with you in the future." Ms. Smith began whispering. "I didn't even have to use blackmail."

"What was that?"

"Oh, nothing."

"Oh, there's one more thing I need to say."

"And what's that?"

"If these are androids, you should avoid engaging with them. They can't be Hedo's Androids because Hedo is one of the good guys now and he wouldn't do something like this. But if myself and one of his androids can be sent to this world, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that remnants of the old evil Red Ribbon Army found their way here too. There's also a chance that they're from another evil organization which might even be worse. If these superhumans you told me about are androids, then you're going to need some extra power." Goten gestured to himself.

"Oh, I couldn't do that! As irresponsible as people think I am, I would never take a high school student on a dangerous mission like that. You're a good kid Goten, but you can't go on this mission. I don't doubt that you're powerful especially if you are indeed Saiyaman X2, but a kid like you should be enjoying life, not going on dangerous life-threatening missions. Tell me, what would your family think if they came here and they found out you died because of my negligence? All I'm asking is for information regarding this threat." She was almost certain Goten was Saiyaman X2, but she didn't know the full extent of his strength. She knew he could survive the blaster that Zombina stole with minor injuries, the very same blaster that blew holes in multiple buildings. Even, if Goten was this superhuman who could shrug off a weapon far above their technology, what would he do against multiple androids? This was a job for professionals.

"You don't get it, Ms. Smith. These androids aren't just another case of liminals abusing loopholes or common criminals. Every single one of them is capable of mass destruction on a scale that you can't even begin to comprehend and are all nearly indestructible. If these androids are as strong as the ones I know, you and your team won't stand a chance. Depending on how strong they are, I might not stand a chance. Every single one of them has the power to destroy the planet. I don't know Jack about any military in this world, but what can your military do against people who not only have the power to destroy the planet but can also withstand the power to destroy the planet?"

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. In our scuffle against Saiyaman X2 and that other person who I assume is the same android that you know, we obtained the blonde one's gun. Zombina was able to at least do some damage. With some reverse engineering, we can create stronger weapons to deal with threats such as him. If that person we fought is anything to go by for what we're going up against, then surely, they can't be that overwhelmingly powerful."

Goten of course wasn't too keen on the idea of killing Beytah, but he did try to murder him and nearly killed Ms. Smiths' crew. He couldn't blame the woman, and it was only fair that they could at least defend themselves from androids like him. However, he knew that no matter how efficient the weapon was that wouldn't be enough.

Ms. Smith felt a tap on her shoulder. "That's odd, I thought I locked the door. Who did that?" She turned towards where Goten was sitting, and noticed he was gone."

"Goten?"

"I'm up here!" Goten was hovering near the ceiling while holding the pen she used to take notes.

"When did you get up there? And how did you get my pen?"

"If you're going to go against Androids, they'll be even faster than that. Even if you create a weapon, they'll still be too fast. Your only chance would be to catch them off guard, but what good would that do against a group of them? You're going to need some extra backup." Goten gestured to himself.

"Okay, so explain. Even if you can fly, possess strength above the average liminal, and are faster than the human eye can perceive, what could you do against an android who according to you, can destroy the entire planet."

"Ms. Smith, you said it yourself. I'm not completely human. I didn't want to reveal this because I didn't want to have my rights taken from me, and I didn't want to be feared but if you're really going to try to go after these guys, you're not leaving me with much of a choice. I'm going to do whatever I can to convince you not to get yourself and your team killed. You said this world has no interactions with aliens, right?"

"There have apparent sightings, but there hasn't been any concrete evidence of their existence."

"Well remember when I asked you about how the interspecies exchange bill would respond to aliens?"

"Ah yes, it was such a peculiar question. You said it was because of a friend, but I had a feeling that you were referring to yourself. You don't reach my age without learning a thing or two about people."

"Well, you're half right. You see, I am a human-alien hybrid. I won't say too much about them because for one, I don't know a lot about them, and two, what I do know isn't good and you'd probably consider me dangerous if I told you. There aren't many of us, but judging from the living members of my race, they're immensely powerful, and hybrids like myself and my brother and have the potential to be the strongest, if we really put our minds to it. If you asked me how strong my race is, I'd say we're probably naturally a bit strong as the average android." Goten thought about telling her that people could learn ki to fight against this possible android threat, but he quickly realized that wouldn't be enough. Krillin was about as strong as a human could get on their own, and he wasn't even close to himself or his wife in terms of strength. Of course, Android 17 was stronger than him and he'd fair against Android 18 now, but based on the androids he fought that were created by Dr. Hedo, his statement about androids being around as strong as a base Saiyan was true.

"You know, if anyone else told me this I'd think they were crazy. However, after what I've seen and heard from you, you being an alien isn't too far-fetched. You did first appear falling from the sky and according to you, it was due to advanced technology that we haven't reached yet, and believe me when I say I did a long and thorough search for any records on you and couldn't find crap. As human as you look, your abilities are anything but. You can fly, and you somehow managed to beat armed assassins, one of which was a sniper who should have been a considerable distance from you, with your bare hands. I figured you at the very least aren't completely human. I even considered the possibility that you were one of those androids you spoke about. However, you look and act human, so I thought it'd be easier if we pretended you were human even if you weren't. With that fact established, If we're really dealing with an enemy that apparently has an army of soldiers capable of destroying the planet we live on, then I'm sure there would be reports of at least one of them causing enough destruction to make the news globally."

"Ms. Smith, androids are usually able to control their power. They use a different type of energy than me or my non-android friends back home, but I'm pretty sure it's the same principle. Basically, ki control allows us to use as much power as we want. This means people who have learned how to control their ki, can either use 100% of their strength or they can use even less than 1% of their strength. There's much more to it than just this though. The amount of damage we do with our attacks is based on the concentration over a specific area and for some of us, that could be an entire planet. Sometimes more."

"I see. If what you're saying is true, then the implications are rather disturbing. The idea that there are many beings on this very planet that could destroy this planet is rather terrifying. If someone with this power felt like taking their own life and taking everyone with them, what would stop them?"

"That's… actually a good question. Normally my dad or someone else much stronger than me would, but they aren't here. I don't know a lot about androids, but whoever created them probably made it so they can't destroy the planet. That doesn't make them any less dangerous though. They could still have the power to destroy the planet even if for some reason they're unable to concentrate it over a large area. What I mean is, that they can still deal enough damage to hurt someone who could survive the power to destroy the planet. This goes for normal ki users with a large amount of energy too. Remember Kii? No, I don't mean Ki, I mean that girl I met in the forest."

"Ah yes, the Dryad that you found. Thank you for that by the way."

"Well, I got rid of the trash in her forest by blowing it up with my energy. The reason I didn't destroy the entire forest was because I specifically concentrated my energy on the garbage I was going to destroy."

"I understand. However, if what you're telling me is true, then that means you can destroy the planet yourself right?"

"What?! I couldn't do that! That's horrible! Even if I did that, I would die too! I can't survive in the vacuum of space. I may be half-human, but I still have basic needs to survive!"

"Well yes, but from what you told me, you could concentrate your energy on a smaller scale. Would I be correct in assuming you could easily destroy entire countries and continents?"

'Ah, great! This is exactly what I was afraid of! Now she's going to think I'm a threat to the world itself.' "Listen, Ms. Smith, you have to understand, I-"

"Oh, I know, you would never do such a thing. However, if these androids are capable of what you say you can do, then what hope do we have against them?"

"We'll just have to take out whoever is in charge! I have my own concerns about this, but I'll do whatever it takes to save this world. If I can help it, I'm not leaving until we solve this issue, and if I get sent back to my world through the dragon balls, then I'll just find my way back here. I know you have moral reservations about letting someone as young as me fight potential world-ending threats, but you need me, and I need you! I may be stronger than most people, but I'm not nearly smart enough to track down the person responsible and get around androids who are possibly as strong if not stronger than me on my own. I mean I'm only 16 years old! This isn't something I can do alone. Please, let me help!"

At this, Ms. Smith sighed and gave in. Fine, I'll see what I can do. However, I'm not the one who makes these decisions, so don't take this as confirmation that we will let you fight against this threat. However, your cooperation is appreciated. At a later time, let's discuss this further. As for me, *Yawn* let me finish up the rest of my paperwork. I'm very behind."

"Wait, before you go back, can you keep what I told you about myself a secret? About me being an alien power to destroy the planet I mean."

"Hm? *yawns*, yeah sure." The woman goes to a random table in the living room to sleep and finish the rest of her work.

"Perfect! I can't wait! I finally have a chance to be a real hero, and no one can stop me!" The young Saiyan's joy couldn't be contained.

This chapter was another case of me having something very specific I wanted to write but realizing that I could add a lot more. The next chapter will be when I begin to deviate a lot from the main plot. Yeah, accidental bars! Well anyway, I hope you enjoyed it! Until next time, peace!
