Daily Life With a Saiyan Teenager Chapter 9
A Fated Meeting! Cell Makes His Move
It wasn't often that Ms. Smith got calls directly from the chief, but now was one of those times. "Seriously? I'm getting déjà vu. Goten is great and all, but I don't think I can handle two of him." Said Smith as she wiped her eye.
"Agent Smith, we have reports of an unknown liminal! It's green, it seems to be a mix between a Cicada and some type of reptile, it has many black spots, an orange beak, and a long tail!"
"So, it's another liminal? Sounds like an experiment gone wrong to me. I was confused when you needed to talk to me about Goten, but now I can understand why. However, I don't understand why you felt the need to call me for something like this. I'm sure I can find a host family that would be to their liking."
"No, quite frankly I don't know what this thing is. We aren't even sure if it's sapient. I called you to inform you not to engage. This creature has overwhelmed police and killed entire cities worth of people in seconds. A sole survivor stated she saw him stick his tail into someone's abdomen and use it to eat them whole from the inside out, leaving nothing but clothes. According to our witness, it wasn't a quick death, it was slow and painful. The screams will likely haunt her forever." He said grimly.
"Surely, we can send one of our teams to deal with this liminal. Perhaps M.O.N or even TALIO can deal with them as usual."
"No, this isn't just any demi-human. This creature was reported on in other countries, and it did the same thing there that it's doing in Japan. It seems to have abilities similar to the vigilante Saiyaman X2 and the criminal known as Beta 1. All efforts to overpower it have failed so we're going to need military force, Cultural Exchange Bill be damned. If we don't do anything this will be the end of everything we hold dear. It's all a matter of tracking it down now. It's been known to quickly get from conjecture to conjecture regardless of distance, so this creature must be fast. Luckily, it has yet to come anywhere near the Saitama prefecture, so you should be safe for the time being. If you see him, call for reinforcements, and leave the area immediately."
"Oddly enough, I believe I might know what this creature is. I had a chat with the last person you called me about, and he told me that the superhumans and super demi-humans encountered across the world were androids. Normally this wouldn't be taken seriously, but this seemingly normal human teenage boy has shown many signs of being a non-human species himself. These signs include flying, moving at inhumane speeds, superhuman strength and I believe you're already aware of his durable body. He initially claimed to be human which may have been believable in his first appearance. However, we recently had a chat and he admitted to being only half-human. I'm telling you this because he apparently has a history with what he believes to be this unknown organization and says that he should be equal in strength to these apparent androids.
"Then tell me what he said."
"I'm getting to that. Apparently, our enemy is known as the Red Ribbon Army, and according to our friend, they are from his world. Their goal is world domination, and to that end are kidnapping innocent people and turning them into weapons just like they have done in the past. I'm not sure how much of this I believe but, he mentioned that every single one of them can destroy this entire planet."
"Don't be absurd! If any organization had that sort of power, then we wouldn't be speaking! He's a young boy and clearly, his imagination is just running wild!"
"Exaggeration or not, these apparent androids have proven to be immune to human artillery. Japan is far from the only country they've attacked. They appear overseas too and caused all sorts of mayhem in the US. In actuality, it would seem that more often than not, they target overseas locations. The information that was given to me by Son Goten lines up with what we know so far. He also knows who Beta 1 is. I did some digging and found that a teenager who attends the same school as Goten matches the description suspect. Not exactly a difficult task considering the name he goes by is 'Beytah."
"Seriously? Well, that makes our job easier." The Chief deadpanned.
"The problem is, we don't have any way of restraining him. We also don't know if Saiyaman X2 was able to beat him or not as they both vanished after we came into contact with them. That said, he referred to himself as the masterwork of some mysterious Doctor, and I have reason to believe that at the very least, this doctor has a connection with the people responsible for the kidnappings. Even this person's motivations line up with what we know about the enemy. He claimed he was trying to purge the world of all criminals, and if we look at the data, when this started occurring about a year ago, every single one of their targets was people with a questionable past."
"If this is true, and believe me I hope it is, I would like to do something about it. I can't do anything on your word alone and even if this were true, there's not much I can do against them if they are mostly overseas."
"Yes, well if I may suggest an idea, perhaps you can speak to Son Goten yourself. He has agreed to work with us after all."
"Well, we can start by bringing this Beta 1 into our custody. We have ways of making criminal scum like him cooperate."
"I tried, but he mysteriously vanished. It took a while because, like Goten, he has no prior records in this world. Due to this fact, we were unable to get much information on him. He's also come into contact with Kimihito Kurusu and explains that Son Goten is likely a failed experiment of theirs that escaped. According to him, Goten is a clone of a hero from another world that his boss gave up on and was also responsible for nearly killing one of his homestays and destroying a part of a building. Luckily no one got hurt from the blast."
"There were reports of something like this. The teenager firing some sort of laser at a wall I mean. That is odd, but how exactly do you know it's this is the same person who attacked Saiyaman X2?"
"Even though his name is quite unusual and similar to the culprit, we need more information.
"Name aside, He has the exact build, and appearance as the assailant, and Goten at the very least has a connection to people like Beta 1. Even before the incident, he asked Zombina if she were an android and later confirmed that there were indeed people like him back where he came from. From what we know, this is definitely something we need to look into more."
"You make a good point Agent Smith. However, for the time being, you should focus on enforcing the cultural exchange business. As I said before, this is an issue that goes beyond the Bill or simple law enforcement. This is now in the hands of our military. As for the mysterious boy named Son Goten, I'll make sure to get in contact with him as soon as possible."
"Understood. In the meantime, I'll make sure Darling isn't assassinated."
Speaking of Goten, he was currently flying to school. He wasn't flying at full speed, but he went fast enough to get there within 5 minutes. He was ecstatic to see his father, but he knew he'd have to stay here a little longer to take care of the Android threat. Goten wanted to fight them too, but he knew people were at risk and it would be better if his dad took care of them. After all, he trained with Gods and had the power of an Angel. What could androids do against one of the strongest people in the universe? Sure, Cell Max was strong, but Goten believed his dad could take someone on that level, and besides how likely it is that they'd have to fight an army of androids as strong as Cell Max? Regardless of whether his dad was strong enough, he wanted in on the action. He ended up getting to school early, so none of his usual friends were there. However, he was confronted by a female Werecat. She had short blonde hair, blue eyes, and tanned skin.
"Hey, you, come with me and I'll show you something fun." Said the Werecat.
"Sorry to be rude but have we met before?" Said Goten.
"Does the Nightclaw gang sound familiar to you?"
"Wow, talk about cliché! Is that some kind of roleplay group?"
"You trying to pick a fight?!" She said angrily.
"No, not really. Your group just isn't ringing any bells. Wait… your voice sounds familiar. Are you one of those guys who tried to fight me at lunch that one time?"
"Yeah, but that's in the past! Come on! Hang out with us!"
"Well, I guess the day is still early. Sure, I guess we can talk for a bit. Besides, I'm in a good mood! Oh, I don't think I ever got your name."
"The name Nekiro and don't you forget it!"
"I'm Goten! I'm glad to meet you for real this time around!"
Nekiro would lead Goten into an 'empty room' far away from any other person. He was immediately met with a Lamia's tail constricting his waist.
"Excellent work Lena!"
"No problem! He's strong, just how I like em!"
A Wyvern comes down from the ceiling near the entrance. "I told you, he's, my prey!" He said.
"First come first serve loser!" Said the Echidna
"What did you say?!" the Wyvern replied.
"Sindrath, Elena, please no fight!" Said Titus.
"SHUT IT MUSCLE FOR BRAINS!" Said Elena
"Hey, don't talk to Titus that way! If it weren't for him, we wouldn't be half as powerful as we are! I get that you are eager to show this punk whose boss, but we didn't come here to argue! There will be plenty of him for everyone!" said the Werefox
"Um, why am I here?" Goten questioned.
"Why to receive punishment of course! You disrespected Nightclaw and now you shall pay with your life!" The Werefox replied.
"Lame."
Everyone paused.
"What. Did. You. Just call me?" Said the Werefox with a dark expression.
"K-Kinyiriko! Calm down! We had a plan, and if you rush in you'll ruin it!" Said Sindrath as he held Kinyiriko's arms to prevent him from rushing in at Goten.
"I said this is lame. Nekirio, what gives? I thought you were going to show me something fun!"
"Oh, this will be fun all right! But only for us!" She said with a toothy grin. "You were so easy, just like every other virgin man in this school. So desperate to lose your V card that you never considered the risks!"
"Um, what does virginity have to do with this?" Said Goten.
"You can play dumb all you want, but it's not going to save you now!" Nekiro replied
"I really don't know what you mean! Wait a minute… I KNOW WHAT THIS IS! You're trying to summon a deity that requires virgin sacrifices, aren't you? I read about something like that in a book!"
"Where did you get that idea from?! If you're trying to save face for-"
"I know! I know! You're all secretly vampires with a taste for virgin blood! Well, you aren't getting my blood!"
The Werecat grew frustrated as Titus began laughing.
"Hahaha, little man funny!" Said the Orc.
"Oh, for the love of... I MEANT YOU AGREED TO COME HERE THINKING I'D HAVE SEX WITH YOU!"
"Sex? Oh…" Said Goten almost sounding disappointed which offended Nekiro. Then he looked at the male liminals and his face scrunched up in disgust. "Ohhhhhh….."
"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT US FOR!?" Sindrath and Kinyiriko exclaimed as they grew cartoonishly angry.
"What the hell is up with that reaction?! Are you trying to say I'm ugly?!" Said Nekiro.
"No, I just thought you meant a game or something to pass the time until the bell rings."
"And you didn't think it was strange that someone you never talked to suddenly wanted to hang out?"
"Well, I am still kind of new here and I thought you were just being nice! Hey... so don't take this the wrong way, but I'm really not interested." Said Goten.
"Are you messing with me?! And why do you look so grossed out by it? Am I that unattractive to you?!" The Werecat replied.
"No, It's just we barely know each other and I'll probably be leaving this country soon. The same goes for... Lena was it?"
"It's Elena!" She said sternly.
"Gotcha! As for you three…" Goten gestured to the three male liminials.
"Us?!" Said all the male liminals in harmony.
"Look I know you went out of your way for whatever this is, and I understand how you feel, but I'm just really not into guys."
"What!" Everyone shouted in surprise.
"We can be friends, but I'm not going to lead you on into thinking we can be something more. I'm sure you'll all find someone who can return your feelings." Said Goten before giving them an apologetic bow.
This elicited different responses from each of the guys.
"HOW REVOLTING! YOU THINK I'D WANT TO BE WITH A… WHATEVER YOU ARE BECAUSE YOU AREN'T HUMAN!" Said the Werefox
"I am human." Said Goten blankly.
"HEY, DON'T GET THE WRONG IDEA DUMBASS! I CAN BEGRUGGNGLY ADMIT THAT YOU'RE A WORTHY OPPONENT, BUT I DO NOT LIKE YOU LIKE THAT! Said Sindrath
"Titus… feel sick…" Said the male ogre.
"Really? Then why are you all here? This was obviously coordinated. If Nekiro brought me here for… that reason, then why are you three here? You know, even if something was going to happen, I wouldn't exactly feel comfortable with you watching either." Said Goten.
"BECAUSE WE'RE TRYING TO KILL YOU!" Both Sindrath and the Werefox screamed.
"Why would you want to do that?" Said Goten curiously.
"YOU MADE A FOOL OUT OF US!" Said Kinyiriko.
"Pardon me, but I don't remember doing that. The last time we interacted, all I was doing was eating. If I did something else at a different time, then I apologize for offending you. Also, Elena? Can you please let me go? It's been entertaining and all but the bell's probably about to ring soon. This didn't work last time, so I don't know why you think this will work now."
"Enough of your insolence! LENA, BITE HIM!" said Kinyiriko
"First of all, you don't get to call me Lena! Second of all, DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO NUMBNUTS!"
"Respect your leader! And refer to me as the great Kinyiriko!"
"Since when were you the leader? Don't go deciding things on your own! You'd make an even weaker leader than small claws!" Said Elena.
"Why you…." Said Kinyiriko.
The Echidna then bites Goten's neck. "OW! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU MADE OF?!" It wasn't a hard bite, but it was hard enough to cause her pain. This also meant her fangs weren't able to pierce Goten's skin so the poison couldn't enter his blood vessels. Though previously, she refused due to not wanting to kill Goten, she had an antidote."
"Why would you do that? You do realize I was kidding about the whole vampire thing, right? I get that this school is for people of all species with different cultures and backgrounds, but you can't just bite people out of nowhere! It's unsanitary! You don't know where my neck has been! …Not that it's been anywhere it shouldn't have been, but you should still be more careful!"
"So you think you're funny huh? Oh, I am so going to enjoy you after you're unconscious!" Elena lustfully smiled as she waited for Goten to drop.
…
"Don't know why you bit me, but whatever happened, it's nothing a little washing up can't fix!" Goten said confidently.
"How are you even standing?! This isn't the first time you've shown inhumane abilities! What are you?!" Said Elena.
"It's a long story, but let's just say that my dad wasn't exactly human and leave it at that."
"So, you're saying you're a liminal just like us. You do realize that even being half-human still makes you a liminal right?" Elena stared at him with her eyes squinted.
"Well yeah, that may be true, but when your mom is a human, you're raised as a human, and you're around other humans all your life, you end up acting human and using human terminology. Besides, saying something like 'I'm human too.' Rolls off the tongue much better than saying 'I'm partially human too' especially if it's a casual conversation."
"Is your other species the secret to your strength?" Elena asked.
"Well, that's a big part of it! I also got strong through sparring with my best friend and training with my older brother and dad. Speaking of my dad, I can't wait to see him again! I can already smell the sweet scent of my mom's cooking!"
"When you're not with your dad, then what do you say about us camping in the woods? Just you, and me?"
"That sounds like fun! …But the answer is no. At least for now. You see, I got caught up in some stuff and until it's over and done, I can't go back home to where I'm from. Tell you what. If I have time, I'll do something with you."
Elena smiled. 'Checkmate.' She thought.
"Oh, and here's a tissue just in case you're bleeding. I don't know how hard you bit me, but I do know my body is kind of tough. Kind of runs in the family, you know?"
"No thanks! I'm not some sissy who needs to be pampered! …But that was really nice of you." Elena blushed.
"Anyway, It's been fun, but I'm going to head back to the cafeteria!" Goten began walking out of the room.
"NO YOU DON'T! YOU AREN'T GETTING AWAY!" Yelled Kinyiriko
Goten turned around only to receive a punch in the face. The result was as expected, and Kinyiriko recoiled in pain. However, he continued by continuously punching Goten in the face. "YOU THINK YOU'RE SO TOUGH DON'T YOU?! WELL, I'LL SHOW YOU!" He continued to punch his face and his hands started bleeding until Goten grabbed his forearms. "Cut it out!"
"I won't lose to you again!"
"Lose what? There was never a fight to begin with! All you're doing is hurting yourself!"
"But if I can't beat you, I will never prove myself!"
"I get it. You have a lot of pride, don't you?"
"Yeah, and so what if I do huh?! What do you know about pride?!"
"A lot more than you'd think. I already told you my dad wasn't human and I'm sure that based on what happened, you know I wasn't lying. That race happens to be a very prideful race, and I'm no exception, so trust me when I say I understand pride. Look, I don't have any beef with you or your friends so what do you think you'd accomplish by beating me up?"
I'd be respected! And people would revere me! After what happened at lunch the other day, I was treated like a joke! Sure, as a delinquent, people were afraid of me, but I was fine with that! Being feared is better than looking like a pack of punk bitches which is what you made us look like!"
"Yeah, no. He made you look like a punk bitch. I watched and laughed." Said Nekiro.
"Shut up, you lazy bum!" Kinyiriko yelled.
"So, in other words, you want people to think you're cool?" Said Goten.
"That sounds… kind of pathetic when you put it like that." Said Kinyiriko.
"That's not pathetic at all! Nothing's wrong with wanting to look cool, but instead of trying to act cool, you should focus on being cool instead. For example, I thought it was cool of you to defend Titus after Elena insulted him. I don't know the full context of your relationships, but I thought it was really nice of you to have his back. Even if it wasn't anything serious, it's nice to know that you care about your friends."
"Elena just has a way with words. She didn't really mean what she said." Said Nekiro.
"I'm sure she does. Honestly, none of you seem as intimidating as you're trying to appear, and I don't mean that as an insult. I'm not saying that to look down on you either. You guys are too funny to be scary. Misunderstandings aside, what I said earlier still stands. I'm fine with being friends, and that goes for all of you. Kinyiriko, I don't know if you'll take my advice seriously, but if you do, you'll be a lot happier in the long run."
"Whatever…"
"Well, I'm going back to my homeroom. I wish you all the best!"
"WAIT!" Kinyiriko shouted.
"What is it now?" Goten asked.
"Thank you… for saying I'm cool." Said Kinyiriko while not even looking Goten in the eyes.
"Anytime!" Goten waved to him as the bell rang and school officially started. The rest of the day was pretty average except Goten was a lot happier, not that anyone noticed anything different. Goten in general was a pretty chipper person, so to them, it was no surprise that he was chipper today either. There happened to be an upcoming exam, but despite thinking he'd be able to go home, he decided to go to the library for a book anyway. He was about to check out a book on the Edo Period, and since Melody was at the registry, he thought he'd drop by and say hello. History wasn't an easy class for Goten since he was from a different world. Of course, many demi-humans would be in a similar ballpark, but at the very least, they lived in the same world and therefore lived by the same logic.
"Hi Melody! You wouldn't believe what I found out today!"
"You seem rather jovial today. Tell me, why are you in such high spirits today?"
"I sensed my Dad's energy today which means he's here! Can you believe it?! My Dad is finally here to bring me back!"
"Oh, that's wonderful news Goten! …Does that mean you're leaving?" Said Melody in a sad tone.
"Melody, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disreg-" He was quickly cut off by Melody.
"No, don't be. I'm happy for you! I understand this is important for you and just as you wouldn't want to take me away from my loved ones, I wouldn't want to do the same thing to you either. Well, there is one thing I'd like to ask of you, Goten. It's a bit of a selfish request."
"Sure, I'm all ears!"
"If it's possible, may I accompany you back to your world? I'm astutely aware of why you wouldn't want to bring me along, but being here is dangerous for me. I heard what happened to my old host family, and though it brings me satisfaction knowing that the waste of oxygen got what it deserved, I believe I know who's responsible. He's someone you seem to know very well. I have reason to believe the person I believe who is responsible for the disappearance of Hisato Nimura is none other than an upperclassman known as Beytah."
"A-Are you sure?" Goten was taken aback by this. He felt his relationship with Beta 1 was kind of complicated. Sure, he forgave him, but he still technically committed a lot of crimes, then again, he was also considered a criminal in the eyes of the law even though Ms. Smith saw fit to ally with him instead of pursuing him as a criminal due to them both having common interests, and she had already got over the Saiyaman incident. If Goten were to report him, Beta 1 could report him in return. There was also no need to report him as his name was literally plastered on his shirt, and when Goten said the name 'Beytah' people who encountered the android automatically assumed Goten was just saying Beta. Ms. Smith may be law enforcement, but she didn't completely follow the law herself, nor did she punish every instance of someone breaking the law. The girls in Kurusu's household have violated the Bill several times, and yet she either finds a loophole or ignores the act altogether. However, someone like Beta 1 who not only directly tried to kill her friends, was an Android-like common enemy, and had important information. She wouldn't let this go.
"Before I joined the interspecies exchange bill around a year ago, my mother allied our house with a suspicious organization. It was a strange decision considering my mother loathed landwellers and especially humans. She was never a 'good person' by human understanding, but she cared about her subjects. About a year ago, she became obsessed with power and even decided to marry me off. The arranged engagement was a result of this. She's changed and quite frankly I'm afraid of her. After we allied with them, seeing staff from the human organization wasn't uncommon. In fact, even humans had the technology to help them breathe underwater if necessary. They called themselves 'Red Pharmaceuticals' and despite seemingly being a mere pharmacy company, they possessed technology far greater than even that in modern human societies. After they appeared, some of our subjects began disappearing, and instead of doing anything, Mother turned a blind eye. The mother I knew loathed most other ocean kingdoms, and especially humans. She believed that since this world is made up of mostly water and that life began from water, it was our right as aquatic life to be the dominant species on Earth. Humanity defies her views by continuing to expand and becoming even more dominant. My mother may have not been the greatest person, but she cared for her people. Ever since their arrival, she changed. That group also had a group of mercenaries and although it didn't occur to me at first glance, the uniforms they wore were very similar to the ones Beta 1 wore, and it doesn't take a lot of effort to put 'Beta 1' and 'Beytah' together."
Goten was in deep thought? 'Beytah is responsible for his disappearance? Sure, I knew he had some issues, and he did do a lot, but I didn't know about this! Red Pharmaceuticals also sounds awfully familiar! I think they might be from my world too! Well then again, that could be a coincidence. As flawed as he is in his sense of justice, I don't see him joining obvious villains such as the Red Ribbon Army, especially after what happened with his boss. 'I'll definitely have to talk to him when I see him. I'm sure he has a reasonable explanation.' Goten thought.
"I believe it was him because a day later, he attacked Saiyaman X2, and why else would a mercenary from Red Pharmaceuticals be here? If I go with you, I can get away from my Kingdom and that wretched human army."
"That… is actually pretty interesting, but is what's going on really something you want to run from?"
"Why not? I may be able to use certain abilities, but they aren't useful in a war setting. I'm completely useless, so it's not like there is anything they can do. However, if my power ends up in the wrong hands, it could be detrimental to the entire world under the sea."
Well, you make a good point, but another problem is that Beytah is from my world. I don't know how he got here, but he might have a way back. We were… adversaries for a little bit, so he wasn't interested in helping me go back. Last time we talked, I'd like to say our relationship improved. I'll see what I can do, but I got caught up in some stuff, and I'm not leaving until it's dealt with." Said Goten.
"That's wonderful news! That means you have plenty of time to think about it! That aside, I also heard something interesting about you. I heard you're from a good source that your father wasn't a human."
"How do you know about that?"
"Goten, nothing gets past me. I may not be the most popular girl in the school but I have eyes and ears everywhere. I heard you had a bit of a confrontation with a group of delinquents known as Nightclaw."
"That name is so cringe... I did say that, but at this point, I'm not too uncomfortable about talking about that anymore. Besides, they aren't that bad! I think they're all just really misunderstood! Anyway, let's go somewhere private for a moment so I can give you a better explanation."
Melody giggled. "That's just like you to look for the best in people. I will gladly spare a moment with you."
Later…
"So, as you know, my dad wasn't human. He was actually part of an alien race known as the Saiyans. They came from a planet called Vegeta. They were a warrior race that valued strength above all else. They used to conquer and sell entire planets after slaughtering the populace. A practice Saiyans did was sending infants to planets, so they'd grow up and slaughter every living being so that the planet would be ready to be purchased. My dad was one of these infants. In his case, he was sent to Earth before the planet was destroyed."
"Pardon me, but what?!"
"Yeah, it turned out the Saiyans were under the command of a super evil guy. This particular person was afraid that they'd get too powerful and achieve a form known as the legendary Super Saiyan. He feared they would overthrow him, so he destroyed their planet, killing almost every Saiyan. Some happened to be on other planets. So they survived, but a lot of them died later on. I didn't want people to know about this because I didn't want to be feared, so I told people I was human which is only half true. Over time I gradually became more and more comfortable with letting people know who and what I was, and since I trust you, I'm fine with you knowing."
"Goten, excuse my outburst but exactly HOW ARE YOU STILL ABLE TO SMILE?! Your entire species was wiped out!"
"Well, I was born a long time after they were brought to extinction. It's sad, but we Saiyans are still thriving on Earth. You'd also have to consider that I pretty much lived my life as a human, and even though I always knew I was technically an alien, I was also half-human. I barely even know about the Saiyans, so I don't have too much of a reason to be upset by this. It's not like we're going extinct anytime soon either. If anything, we're growing. Saiyans are biologically similar enough to have children with humans, and that's how we'll survive as a species. I even have a niece who is a quarter Saiyan."
"But aren't you in the least bit upset about losing your culture? A chance to understand what you really are?"
"Nope! Not in the slightest! I wouldn't want to be a part of Saiyan culture. Sure, I enjoy fighting like a Saiyan does, but I'd much rather do it for fun instead of for the sake of deciding the fate of the world. I prefer peace above everything else, ya know? And the Saiyans as a whole were anything but peaceful. Why would I want to be a part of a culture that conquered and in some cases, destroyed planets?"
"But isn't it lonely being one of the only Saiyans?"
"No, because my inner circle has people from various races and that includes other Saiyans that aren't related to me. In my universe, there are 9 living Saiyans, and I know every single one of them except for one, but even he's someone my dad has fought and befriended."
"I-I'm just surprised you're so blasé about this. I'd think someone in your position would be desperate to rebuild your race. Do you not care about your own species?"
"I wouldn't say I don't care. Think of it like this. My dad learned morals from Grandpa Gohan, and my dad went on to spread those morals to both myself and my brother Gohan. I know that not every Saiyan that was killed was evil but something positive did come out of the genocide of the Saiyan race as horrible as that sounds. Don't get me wrong, I don't consider the genocide of the Saiyans to be a good thing at all, but because of this, the Saiyans got a second chance to live as a species that protects their own home instead of destroying the homes of others, and they get to live on through humanity. We still aren't perfect, but we're better off than we were before."
"Well, if you're really one of these Saiyans… That doesn't change a thing! In fact, I think I love you more!
"Well I'm glad you're not afraid, but why would that make you love me more?"
"There's something beautiful about someone who has the power to conquer the world yet doesn't do that. It's the mere idea that at any moment you could dominate the world whenever you so desired. Goten if it's fine with you, why don't you start by dominating me?" Said Melody as her nose bled.
"I don't know how to respond to that."
"I apologize, I didn't mean to cause you discomfort. So what about your mother? If you're half-human, then that side must come from her."
"Yeah, she was human, but more on her later. Anyway, long story short, my dad's space pod was found by an old man known as Gohan. My dad was naturally aggressive, but one day he fell down a ravine and hit his head. Ever since then, he's been a kind person. Gohan raised him as his grandson and taught him martial arts. However, one day something terrible happened, there was a full moon."
"I am aware of how many demi-humans are affected by a full moon, but what does it do to Saiyans?"
"Well, one thing I didn't mention is that Saiyans are born with monkey tails and when they look at a full moon, they turn into giant apes and go berserk. That unfortunately happened to my dad and his grandpa lost his life. For the majority of my dad's life, he simply thought a monster killed him."
"I'm sorry Goten… I had no idea."
"Don't be! My grandfather is definitely smiling down on us to this day! Well, at least my family back home."
"That piques my interest. If Saiyans are born with tails, then why weren't you?"
"That's… actually a good question. My brother Gohan was born with a tail, and yet none of the Saiyans that were born after him were. It's better not to question it. Saiyan biology is complicated." Goten went on to explain how his parents met and how he was born. As it would turn out, no matter how Goten phrased the story, he'd always end up bringing up the fact that his Grandfather was a king. He tried to avoid saying it, but he mentioned a castle which caught Melody's interest.
"Your Grandfather lived in a castle and told your father to retrieve his daughter? Does that mean he's a king?"
"Well yeah, Grandpa was definitely a king alright and he still lives there."
"So, your grandfather is a king and your mother was a princess… That makes you a prince! I called you my perfect prince before, but think, you were a literal prince all this time!"
"I guess? I never saw myself as one though. I could never sit around command subjects. That just isn't me."
"Pity, I hoped one day we could rule his kingdom together. Well, I suppose living as a commoner is its own experience."
"I just call it freedom."
"I envy your way of living Goten. Living as you want to."
"Well, that's not impossible for you either. I mean if my mom can do it, I don't see why you couldn't."
"You make a convincing point Goten, but what of her subjects?"
"Well, my Grandfather is currently ruling over Fire Mountain, and I'm sure when he steps down, either someone else will take over, or they'll change their government. I don't know what the situation is for you, but I'm sure there's a way. If not, then it's best to just focus on the present. Trust me on this! Even if it doesn't last forever, you'll have good memories to look back on!"
"You're right. By the way, I befriended Draconis the other day."
"That's great! I'm surprised I didn't see her today though. She must have been sick."
"She actually had to go somewhere yesterday. She said she needed to participate in something. I'm wishing her the best."
"Well so am I!"
"Well, I'd hate to keep you away from your reunion with your father, so I'll end our wonderful talk with a warning." Melody's face became serious. "I recommend not telling people about your heritage."
"Yeah, I can understand, but so far no one had a negative reaction, and I'm fully aware that it's not a believable story. If anyone sees me as a threat based on what I told them, I could just tell them I'm a big fan of science fiction,"
"That's not why I'm telling you to hide it! Listen, many species will try to take you for themselves for mating purposes. Tell me how technologically advanced is your world?"
"A bit more than this one."
"Well, if a single Saiyan is capable of conquering a technologically advanced Earth, many factions will want that power and will take it through any means necessary. Lamia's would seek you out especially. With your offspring, Lamia's would be able to completely disregard the exchange bill, and they could easily force humanity to give the men and would quickly become the dominant species of this world. This isn't just to get rid of potential rivals either. My kingdom is no different. If my mother found out about you, I'm sure she'd try to have us married, but only for the sake of producing powerful offspring. She'd raise them to conquer the land dwellers and humanity would fall. Although our society has changed and we have grown past consuming human flesh, many of us would have little to no issue with killing humans for sport. The only difference is we wouldn't need to lure them. I want you to love me, and if you're forced to be with me, then I fear that you'd loathe me."
"Melody, I could never hate you for something out of your control. As for what you said about factions wanting my kid, you have to be exaggerating a little. I mean I'm sure some factions would be like that, but they can't ALL be like that, right? Besides I've shown my power in public a few times, and no one tried anything so I should be fine as long as I stay in Japan!"
"Are you sure? You know, according to one of my sources, a Lamia, or rather an Echidna was telling her Lamia friends how she found a perfect mate for her tribe. One that would make her tribe the most powerful in the history of her kind."
"So, she wants to marry me? But why? We met like twice and we barely interacted."
"She likely wants your seed if nothing else. Something you should know about Lamia's is that they are known for kidnapping human males and forcing them into orgies with little regard for their life. It's truly repulsive. Did Elena say something about taking you to a private area by chance?"
"What, you can't be serious about that! You must be pulling my leg! Melody, your kidder!"
"No Goten, I'm serious. Elena did tell you to go somewhere private with her, did she?"
"She did say she wanted to go camping, but if she was going to do something, I knew I could just leave at any time. I wasn't planning on going too deep into the woods either, not that I'm really worried about wild animals."
"Whatever you do, do not go! You may be powerful and can fly, but her venom might be too much for even you! Should her fangs pierce your skin, your blood vessels would break down and if left untreated, you could die."
"Wait, but wouldn't that defeat the entire purpose of using me to produce offspring? Well thanks for the warning, Melody. I still can't imagine that Lamia's as a whole do that, but I will keep that in mind. Well, I could just ask Miia. Actually on second thought that might not be a good idea. That would be incredibly awkward to bring it up to her."
"Is Miia the Lamia that you live with?"
"Yeah, she's really nice though!"
"Well if she and Mero can get along, then I'm sure she's alright. She doesn't seem to be after you. Goten, please understand that I just don't want what happened to me to happen to you."
Goten responded by hugging her. "Thank you, Melody. Not just for the warning, but for still being my friend even after I told you all that I am. You know, ever since I came here; I was afraid that I would be feared if the truth about me was common knowledge. The only reason I had no problem with using my power in public as much as I did is because I figured I could get away with it thanks to the bill, but if society knew about the history of my race and what they're capable of, I was afraid they might react badly. I know it sounds ridiculous but from my point of view, I had no idea if a race of space conquerors was believable, so I chose to be cautious just in case. I had no problem with showing my power, but I never even came close to using the full extent of my abilities." Goten knew he probably wouldn't be in any real danger if the entire world turned on him, but that didn't make that scenario any more desirable. He had practically lost everything if only temporarily, so he hated the idea of losing everything in this world too. He liked his host family, he liked his school, and though he could easily fly to another country and start a new life there, he had already made so much progress in Japan, and he didn't know enough about other countries.
"As if I'd ever be so shallow! Even if I didn't find the idea of an unknown species from beyond the skies conquering worlds to be… arousing, you will always be my perfect prince." She said blushing.
"It's flattering that you think that way but I'm anything but perfect, but then again, neither is anyone. Well, I hope we can meet again! I'll look more into your situation and if you still want to come to my world, I'll see what I can do. If you ever want to go back, there are a few ways I could possibly bring you back to this world, but it isn't guaranteed. Just keep that in mind. My dad may be here now, but I'm not leaving immediately which means you'll have plenty of time to think about what you really want."
"Good luck Goten! Whether or not you come back, I wish the best for you!"
As Goten left, Melody got a thought in her head. 'How interesting. A race of warriors that once spread fear and mayhem above the skies was brought to near extinction only to live on through another race. I think I have a new idea for a novel.'
Earlier… in a different area.
Later… Papi had once again snuck out of the Kurusu household She had gone considerably further than she normally did, but she still went unusually far. To make matters worse, she brought Suu with her. They were currently playing with some kids in the park who were kicking a ball around. Unfortunately, one kid kicked the ball into a tree.
"Aww, the ball got stuck! Hey Bird Lady, do you mind getting that for us?!"
"Okay!" Papi flew up and grabbed the ball. She returned to the ground with the ball."
"Okay, let's keep playing!" she said excitedly. Unfortunately, all the kids were looking elsewhere. Their faces weren't that of excitement but rather terror. What they saw was a green bug-like creature stabbing his tail into a female Neko. Her once beautiful features slowly began to emaciate, and soon there was nothing but the dress she wore.
"YOU BASTARD!"
Her host family ran up and punched the monster for what he did, but he soon shared the same fate."
The creature licked his lips as he was in the process of sucking the man dry. "Ah, how refreshing. The more I feed, the hungrier I get and it looks like there's bird on the menu." Cell said looking straight at Papi.
Papi was terrified. She wasn't the brightest girl, but even Papi could recognize the danger after witnessing such a gruesome scene.
"Suu, we gotta get them out of here!"
Suu used her slimy body to lift the kids to the top of a building so the monster couldn't get them, and Papi followed shortly. It was times like this where she was glad, she could fly.
Papi noticed that the kids were crying and tried to comfort them.
"Hey, don't cry. That big scary monster can't hurt you anymore!"
"B-But, my mom and dad! They're still down there! What if the monster does what he did to those people?! I bet he's responsible for all those people who disappeared too!" Said one of the little boys.
"Hey, it will be okay! We'll find your parents, right Suu?"
"Yes, you'll find them alright. I promise you'll be uniting in the afterlife!" Cell flew up the building with a woman wrapped in his tail by her neck.
"*Sobs* Please, don't hurt my son!"
"MOMMY, NO!" A little boy cried.
The monster stuck his tail into her and absorbed her just like all his previous victims.
"YOU MONSTER! WHY! WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO MY MOM!" The boy screeched.
"Because she was delicious. And you will be too." Cell sadistically licked his lips as he marched over to the kids."
"You stay away from those kids!" Papi did a flying kick into Cell's face, but it did nothing to the bio-android. Kicking Cell broke her right talon causing her to fall to the ground screaming in pain.
"How kind of you to not delay the inevitable but it's rather cruel of you to prologue their demise." Said Cell with a cruel smile.
Before Cell stuck his tail into her, Suu moved her towards the kids and formed a dome with her body.
"Suu, no! You can't sacrifice yourself for us!"
In truth, Cell could have walked through them, but he decided to instead put his tail into the blob and began sucking. Suu tried to expand the body enough so Cell couldn't absorb all of her. After a short while, Suu was almost completely gone and Cell felt immense pleasure as he saw the harpy's disheartened face.
"S-STOP IT BUG MAN! PLEASE LEAVE HER ALONE! YOU WANT ME, RIGHT?! JUST LET HER GO! I CAN'T EVEN GET AWAY!"
The only response she got was a cold silence.
Suu was nearly fully absorbed, but before the last of her went into his tail, she got to say her last words. "Papi, thank you for being my friend. I'm sorry I had to leave you. Tell Master and everyone else that I will never forget them!" And with that Suu was completely absorbed.
"SUU NO!" Papi began sobbing uncontrollably. This was the hardest she had ever cried in her life and the kids behind her weren't faring much better. The creature began walking towards them with his vile smile until he was interrupted by a blast. It was a blonde android by the name of Beta 1.
"Leave these poor civilians alone villain!"
"Ah yes, yet another self-righteous imbecile who thinks they stand a chance. After I absorb you, you can ask the police officers how it went for them in the afterlife."
"The only one being sent to the afterlife is you! Before I kill you, tell me. Are you responsible for the disappearances all around Japan?"
To this Cell began maniacally laughing. "So that's what this country is called? Well tell me this, do you think I started in Japan? After I was defeated, I fled to a faraway village where I rested until an unfortunate soul came close enough to me. I followed the child's mother and absorbed her along with the entire village. After that, I went all around the world absorbing victim after victim until I reached this level of power. Where I stand now, I should be enough to devour that mysterious Super Saiyan, but just being strong enough isn't enough! I need to completely overwhelm him completely so won't be able to make me budge."
"You won't get the chance monster! I'm ending this right now! It's because of monsters like you that the Doctor has to create a utopia and that dream is impossible with you still standing!"
"Ah, on the contrary, my dear friend. I can't sense you which means you must be an Android. Absorbing you will give me far more power than any of these pathetic morsels I've been feeding on up until now."
"Take this!" Beta 1 fired a blast out of his new and improved gun after he lost his old one to M.O.N. To the surprise of Cell, Papi, the kids, and even Beta 1 himself, the blast sent Cell flying far away. "Wow, that's one hell of an improvement. My master really outdid himself this time. YOU HEAR ME MONSTER?! MY NAME IS BETA 1, AND I'M THE MASTERWORK OF THE DOCTOR! DON'T YOU EVER FORGET IT!" He turned to Papi and the kids. "Hey, you! You can fly, right? Get those kids and run!"
"I CAN'T! MY TALON IS BROKEN!" Papi exclaimed
"Very well, I shall help you." Beta 1 summons Beytah 2 and uses the battle jacket to carry Papi and the kids to a safe area before Cell came back to look for Beta 1. He was no longer going after any person he saw; he now had a target.
Cell was knocked back hundreds of kilometers away, but the gun failed to actually damage the bio-android. Because Beta 1 was an Android, Cell couldn't sense him. Of course, he could still go after humans and liminals, but this Android was the most important thing right now. He could risk raiding the Red Ribbon Army's current base of operation as they had an army of androids, some of whom were previously capable of destroying him easily. Even if he could absorb a few, he was unsure if that would be enough. Absorbing a Super Saiyan would be more than enough energy, and he was more than confident he'd be able to destroy the Android who beat him but failed to kill him last time.
Cell began to shout. "WHERE ARE YOU ANDROID! IF YOU DON'T COME OUT, I WILL BLOW UP THIS ENTIRE CITY UNTIL I FIND YOU!"
As Cell was shouting, Beta 1 left Papi and the kids in a somewhat safe place. Of course, Cell could easily find them given their ki signatures, but he didn't care about them anymore. He wanted the Android. Before he left one of the kids asked for his name.
"What's your name Mr?"
Beta 1 turned to the kid. "I am Beta 1, and I am a Superhero! And this time around I mean it! I finally understand exactly what that is! Now wait here! I'll take care of him!" Beta 1 turned to leave.
"Hey wait, can you find my parents? I'm really worried about them"
Beta 1 bent down to meet the girl at eye level. "I promise you I will do what I can, but before that, this creature needs to be defeated so he can't hurt anyone else again! Before they knew it, he flew off."
"That guy's just like Goten!" Papi said excitedly.
Beta 1 couldn't help but scowl at this. His previous conversation with Goten was initially an act, but then he started having second thoughts. Befriending him was all a part of a plan to bring him over to the side of Dr. Hedo, but after talking to him, he wanted to experience his vision of justice. After all, ever since he became an android, all he's known was anger, violence, hatred, and an obsession with creating what he believed was his masters' ideal world. Now, things were different. It was his chance to do something for the sake of another who wasn't Hedo.
Cell fired a ki blast in a random direction toward the city below. The radius destroyed a good portion of the city and killed many survivors. Luckily Papi and the kids weren't in that radius. However, Beta 1 was now engaging with Cell. He fired a blast at his back. Despite catching him off guard, it didn't do anything to him.
"Ah, so you came after all."
"YOU VILE MONSTER! HOW DARE YOU KILL ALL THOSE PEOPLE! FREAKS LIKE YOU DON'T DESERVE TO EXIST, BUT I'M GOING TO SOLVE THAT PROBLEM HERE AND NOW!"
Cell chuckles. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots."
Beta 1 goes in for a punch, but Cell blocks it with a single arm, prompting the zombie android to take a page out of Goten's book and go for a kick to the head. Unfortunately for Beta 1, Cell was prepared. Cell blocked his kick and punched his stomach causing his stomach to literally go through his back. The bio-android followed up by using both his hands to double axe handle Beta 1, slammng him into the ground.
"Ugh, what is this thing made of?!" Said Beytah as he struggled to get up. However, as he started to get up, Cell appeared above him and did a dive kick into his gut causing him to cough up blood. The bio-android would jump up and when he came down his foot landed on Beytah's face. The impact caused his head to create a small crater below them. Cell began stomping on his face a series of 4 times before Roundhouse kicked him. Before Beta 1 could travel a significant distance away from Cell, he flew above him and punched him into the ground. He would stomp on his stomach once more causing him to cough up even more blood. He punched him in the stomach a few times before taking a few steps back and lifting him by his left leg.
"You could have avoided all this if you accepted your fate from the beginning."
"Like hell, I'd do that! I will never be a part of you! Even if I gave up, you'd use my power to hurt more innocent people!"
Cell chuckles sadistically "Oh, believe me, I'm glad you resisted. Your fruitless attempts at harming me to avoid the inevitable were… entertaining." He then licked his lips.
"G-GET AWAY FROM ME YOU BUG! YOU SHOULD BE ON THE GROUND BEING CRUSHED UNDER MY FEET!"
"On the contrary, you filled that role perfectly. However, that act has come to an end. It's time you fulfill your new role in food services." Cell maniacally laughs.
"You're nothing but a coward! You trample over the lives of the weak like it's nothing!" 'I guess I wasn't much different. I went after the lives of criminals because I was disgusted by criminals getting off easy. I killed and captured people without any care of how that'd affect other people. Even the people who committed lesser crimes, I mercilessly slaughtered them. I didn't care about the families that I ruined or the people I could have killed…' Beytah thought.
"Oh, a coward, am I? Then tell me, why are you the one who is squealing like a little piglet." Cell punches him in the gut more as he is hanging upside down, then karate chops his leg which causes a loud snapping noise, before dropping him. Beytah screams in pain but is unable to move as that assault has broken his leg. After he was done screaming, Cell lifted him by the neck, and placed his tail about Beytah, in a jabbing position. However, something Beytah could barely notice due to his now blurred vision was that Cell's normally pointy tail was no longer as sharp. In fact, he could have sworn there was a hole where the tip once was. Beta 1 weakly pulled out his gun.
"D-Damn you! I won't let you absorb anyone else monster!" Beytah aimed fired his blaster at Cell. Luckily, it managed to send him back just as far as before. Unfortunately for Beytah, he was so injured that moving the wrong way could possibly cause one of his broken bones to puncture one of his vital organs. Unlike Zombina or even the other members of the Beta Series, Beta 1 still very much functioned like a human due to his corpse being fresh when Dr. Hedo turned him into an android. Still, he mustered the strength he needed to hide under the rubble of a broken building that had broken from the mere shockwave of Cell's earlier blast. Just as Beta 1 began to hide, Cell came back to the location.
"Where are you little Android?! No matter how far you run, I will catch you."
"H-He's too strong! I have no choice but to use it! Activating Beta 2000!" There was a massive cloud easily the size of a tall building. From that cloud wasn't some small battle-jacket, but it was the equivalent of a Gundam with the same color scheme and theming of Beta 2. Since his loss against Goten, Hedo made sure to build an improvement for him.
"You don't stand a chance anymore! It's time to put Beta 2000 in action!
"You decided to show yourself. How brave. It's cute that you think hiding away in a suit of armor is enough to save you!" Cell then went in for a boosting punch, but it did nothing to the robot.
"What the?!"
Beta 2000 swatted Cell to the ground.
"What's wrong little gnat? Your kind should be used to that by now!"
Cell flew up to the glass that Beta 1 was behind. "No… but it was stimulating."
Cell fired a green ki blast at the robot, which once again did no damage. "WHAT?!"
"Hahahaha, told you before, it's over for you! The glass is just as durable as the rest of the suit, and my own power increases the suit's durability even more! In the same way, Alpha Zero's amplifier gives him more power, mine gives me impenetrable armor! Face it! You're through!" Beta's mech grabbed Cell and threw him into the sky. He then fired multiple homing missiles at Cell in different directions, with each bouncing him around the air, but failing to damage him. The last missile pushed Cell to the side before he flew around the mech looking for an opening and fired a ki blast.
"SPECIAL BEAM CANON!" Cell yelled as a spiraling beam came twirling at rapid speeds towards the nape of Beta 2000." Though this technique was powerful enough to push Beta 2000 into a building, destroying it, it was not still not enough to penetrate his armor. The force of the beam did knock him over, but right before he hit the ground, the mech used its hands to stand, and Beta 2000 did a back flip which kicked Cell into the sky in the process."
"Even Saiyaman X2 wouldn't be able to survive this! If you're getting pushed back by my normal attacks, you can't survive either! "JUSTICE CANON!" Beta 1 yelled as his robot formed an oval with its fingers from both hands. A White ball formed with green and dark blue lightning surrounding it. After Cell regained his stance, Beta 2000 crashed with the ball as if he were a meteor crashing onto the Earth. The robot accelerated and it went so fast that both it and Cell wound up in outer space. Beta 1 was lucky that Beta 2000 was enough to support him in space. Beta 1 finished up the attack by firing a white energy blast surrounded by blue and white lightning, and Cell was gone."
"HAHAHAHA, YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER CROSSED THE GREAT DR. HEDO! YOU HEAR THAT UNIVERSE?! DR. HEDO IS THE GREATEST IS THE GALAXY!" His laughter was cut short by a purple energy disc slicing off Beta 2000's left arm."
Of course, this didn't hurt Beta 1, but it was something he noticed. He looked up and saw a slightly injured Cell above him.
"WHAT?! HOW DID YOU SURVIVE?! THAT ATTACK WAS AT LEAST 100 times my own power! Even if you were as strong as one of the five titans created by Hedo, Beta 2000 was designed to take the impact of attacks and covert it into its own power!"
"Your attack was powerful enough to send me across the entire solar system, but I'm afraid I was merely testing the waters of my new strength. I've absorbed so many different specimens over the past day, and I haven't even come close to using my full potential."
"Well, neither have I!" said Beta 1 as Beta 2000's right arm morphed into a blade. The blade itself was covered in plasma that was far hotter than the sun itself. On its hilt, four cylindrical objects formed an electric field around the blade. Beta 2000 flew at Cell to slice him, but Cell dodged every attempt. As he flew around, his hand was glowing purple, but Beta 1 couldn't understand why. Cell flicked his finger and the same Death Slicer that sliced off Beta 2000's arm appeared from behind Beta 2000's neck but he saw it coming and dodged. Cell redirected it to follow Beta 2000, but Beta ran from it until it was aligned between himself and Cell. He then countered with a flying slash type of energy blast which was a stalemate between both attacks, causing a massive explosion that was bigger than the city they were just in. The explosion knocked them both back a considerable distance. Since Cell had the speed advantage, he appeared above Beta 2000.
"KAAAAAAAAAAA...MEEEEEEEEEE...HAAAAAAAAA...MEEEEEE...HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Cell yelled as he fired a blue energy wave right at the glass, Beta 1 was behind. The explosion was enough to put a dent in the glass and stagger Beta 2000. It also spun around his machine making him dizzy for a moment as he spun around in space. This was when Beta 1 decided to use Beta 2000's ultimate attack. The hilt on the blade formed by Beta 2000's right arm began spinning around while shooting out an electric aura around the blade and the plasma now completely covered the blade and instead of just being white, it had all the colors of the rainbow. Cell tried to interrupt but was literally shocked by its power. The mech itself was able to absorb the impact of techniques after all, and the energy disc only added to that power. Beta 2000 backed up a fair distance before pointing its spinning sword at Cell. It then came charging at high speeds right at Cell in preparation to impale him."
"THAT PIECE OF JUNK WON'T SAVE YOU!" Cell shouted as he tried to counter with Frieza's last Emperor technique. Although the purple energy wave was fast and required little to no charge-up time, Beta 2000 accelerated at such an alarming rate, that by the time Cell fired tyrant's last technique on Namek, Beta 2000's vibrant colored blade had already pierced through it. Perhaps Cell's technique was stronger, but it had no time to accumulate enough force to push back and overpower the incoming Android. The blade impaled Cell, and his body began slowly disintegrating starting from the middle of his body and causing him to scream as he was in immense agony. The sword itself was what was disintegrating Cell, but the plasma surrounding the blade was burning every part of the Bio-Android at once.
"This is but a mere taste of what your victims felt! The worst of the worst get their just desserts and you're getting an entire buffet!"
Cell's yells became even louder shrieks as the hole that was right under his chest started to slowly expand. The outlines of the hole were charred black as it slowly became wider and wider. "I-IMPOSSIBLE! YOU'RE NOTHING MORE THAN AN INFERIOR MODEL!" In one last ditch effort, Cell fired a Death Saucer at Beta 1, but he flew up in the air to dodge it."
"Oh please, you're so pathetic and desperate. You're going to die. Just accept it."
Cell's screaming lasted for a bit until his body was reduced to nothing more than a few ashes. Beta 1 assumed so and he took this moment to gloat.
"Hahaha, take that Saiyaman X2! I just saved the world! That makes me a much better hero than you! Not only will I make Dr. Hedo proud, but I will make myself proud too! I saved the world! As much as I loathe to admit it, you were right! Fighting to save people feels amazing!" Beta 1 exclaimed. Unfortunately, his celebration was short-lived as an object crashed at blinding speed right through the machine's armor and into Beta 2000's core. Luckily, it didn't go completely through, but it was a very damaging blow. This object was the arm that Cell had sliced off earlier. This entire time, Cell had been using telekinesis to spin the arm at rapid speeds out of Beta 2000's vision, waiting for an opening. The force of the arm going throw the core of Beta 2000 sent him crashing right back into Earth. Beta 1 had an escape, but it wouldn't work considering he was in space. The glass dome doubled as a spacesuit, but he had nowhere to run to. He had no choice but to come crashing back into earth."
"You know that last attack really hurt."
"WHAT?! BUT HOW?!"
"That was a powerful attack, but I still remain, and I'm even stronger than before. You can thank the cells I'm made of for my regeneration capabilities." Said Cell while breathing heavily. "You're useless without your blade, so let's see how you fair without them!" Cell creates two large death beams with the entirety of his hands, but instead of firing them like a beam, he made them into arcing blades, and one at a time, he threw both of them at Beta 2000. The first one was thrown vertically, and it sliced off the arm that had the blade. Then the second one was thrown horizontally and it sliced off both of Beta 2000's legs.
"Now… Why don't I end this off with the same technique I started with? SPECIAL… BEAM…. CANON!" Cell gave off a mighty roar as Piccolo's signature move spiraled down at the base of the arm, pushing the entire arm along with the gigantic special beam canon through Beta 2000's core.
Beta 2000 along with the pieces that were sliced off of Beta 2000 burst into flames as they reentered Earth's atmosphere. Realizing the core being destroyed might cause some major damage to the planet itself due to being overcharged with power, Beta 1 Separated Beta 2000's head from the rest of its body which essentially reduced him to Beta 2, however, it was still far more durable than it used to be. Beta 1 knew that if Beta 2000's reached the surface of Earth and its core went off, it would cause major damage to the Earth. Normally, destroying the core of a charged-up Beta 2000 would create a blast radius large enough to wipe an island from the map, but with the force of Cell's techniques that was added to the mech which caused the core to overload, increasing the blast radius to the point that it could obliterate an entire continent, granted the overall power of the blast was enough to damage a star. Knowing the falling titan would cause catastrophic damage if it hit the ground, Beta 1 decided to use the remaining power of Beta 2000's head to stop its body from crashing into the Earth. He flew inside the massive hole right below Beta 2000's chest and by using the power of Beta 2000's head, he formed an energy barrier around the core not unlike Android 17's. With his own power, he formed an energy barrier around himself. With that, the planet potentially being destroyed was avoided but at a heavy cost. Beta 2000's head was completely obliterated, and Beta 2000's shield was barely enough to protect him. It also prevented the remains of Beta 2000's body from being destroyed. At this point, Beta 2000's body was nothing more than a torso with a massive hole in its chest. The other pieces of Beta 2000 landed elsewhere. Beta 2000's torso fell in the very same city where the fight started with Beta 1 still inside. When Beta 2000's torso hit the ground, there was a heavy impact that could be heard from far away. From the damaged body of Beta 2000, a bloodied Beta 1 crawled out. The durable head of Beta 2000 and the energy barrier he made were enough to cushion him from the powerful explosion, but he was still heavily injured from it. It was a miracle that he could even move. As he crawled, memories from his past before he became an Android started to resurface. He remembered the face of a boy with brown spikey hair that somewhat resembled Goten.
"I-I need backup! Even with that hidden power, Goten had shown me, he wouldn't be able to beat this monster. I-I need backup!" He began calling Hedo on his communicator."
"Hello, Beytah. We're a bit busy at the moment. I'm in the middle of a discussion! Cell somehow managed to survive his encounter with Alpha Zero, and he's on the loose!"
"I know, but I'm fighting a monster, and I can't win! I need backup!"
"Impossible! There's no monster that one of my creations can't beat! Would you mind describing it?"
"It's like this green bug man covered with spots and a long tail!"
"Wait, he's in Japan?! Beytah, you need to get out of there now! That monster is Cell, a creation of my grandfather! I'll be sending in backup, but you need to hide until then!"
"Yes sir!"
He was interrupted by a booming sound as Cell reappeared in the area.
"SHIT! I CAN'T MAKE A SOUND! I THINK THAT WAS HIM!" Beytah 1 whispered as he turned off the communicator.
"Where are you hiding your sad excuse for an Android? Playing hide and seek only makes this more fun for me."
Cell began firing blasts in random directions destroying countless buildings, and killing any survivor that may have been hiding. As he did Beytah began to crawl away, using the rubble from a destroyed building as a shield from Cell's vision. Before he could get away, there was an interruption.
"HOW DARE YOU KILL MY SON!" A man drove his car at a high speed towards Cell. The impact did a lot of damage to the car and severely injured the man. Cell grabbed the man's neck through the car and pulled him through the windshield"
"Why… my son finally made a real future for himself, and you took that from him. You took him from us! I hope you rot in hell, freak!" Said the man with venom.
"Now I feel bad. How about I send you to him?"
'Damn it!' Beytah got out of his hiding spot and shot a blast at Cell. Cell didn't notice it was heading towards him until the last second. Not wanting to get sent flying again, he threw the man to the side and dodged. The injured man took this opportunity to crawl away and hide somewhere.
"Ah, so the little android finally came out of hiding. How wise of you to finally accept your fate. This will be over soon." Cell grimly smiled.
"You're damn right it will be over soon! Your life, your reign of terror, and everything you stand for! I'm putting an end to it RIGHT NOW!" Beytah pulled out his blaster once more.
Cell chuckles. "You know that doesn't work right? You may send me away, but no matter how much you resist, I will always find you."
"Then I'll send you somewhere where you can never come back!" Beytah powered up the blaster with his energy causing dark blue and dark green electricity to start emanating from the muzzle of the blaster. Shortly after, Beytah himself is enveloped in a dark green energy."
"I may not be as strong as a lot of the Androids, but through modifications, I'm able to attack with power over one hundred times greater than my own limits!"
"You should have run when you had the chance!"
"A hero never runs! That action is reserved for cowardly villains like you!"
Instead of outright aiming at Cell, Beytah aims for the sky and fires a white beam surrounded with the same electricity from before. The attack stops midair, forming a white ball covered in blue and green electricity.
Cell began flying towards Beytah, but he soon found that he was trapped. Four bolts of electricity emitted from the ball and surrounded Cell, trapping him in an electric cage.
"Who do you think you are? You're nothing more than a lower model! You're only use is adding onto my power!"
Beytah smugly smirked at Cell. Being zapped to death is a fitting end to a bug like you, wouldn't you say?"
The white ball began slowly descending toward Cell. As it falls, white missile-like projectiles from the ball start homing in on Cell, targeting what would be his vitals, causing him great pain and keeping him from moving. Eventually, the cell's body is crushed under the weight of the white ball and it seemingly consumes him. It then explodes, causing a massive crater in the ground. Luckily, no one was around to get hurt by it.
"Hahahaha, justice prevails again! I can't wait to tell Hedo about my success! I didn't even need the backup!"
However, just as he began to gloat, a liquid, slimy substance appeared from behind Beta 1 and reformed into the shape of Cell.
"I'll admit, that one stung a bit but…"
"Beytah looks behind him and gasps in terror as he sees the creature he thought he vaporized standing right behind him.
"YOU SHOULD HAVE WAITED FOR BACKUP!" Cell grabbed Beta 1 by the back of the neck. He fired a yellow ki blast right through Beta 1. Even though he was a Zombie, he wasn't like Zombina meaning this wound was fatal. Beta 1 was on the ground coughing up blood, while barely clinging onto life.
'So this is where it all ends, isn't it? At least I was able to do something good before I died. I guess I'll never find out which one of us had the correct form of justice… Tell me, was I a true superhero? If nothing else, then I hope that by absorbing me, he will no longer need to feed on more innocent people. Perhaps my power will be enough for him… If we had met sooner, I like to think we could have been really good friends with relatively normal lives, but I suppose that's not possible now. I'm sure Dr. Hedo will help you get done if that's what you desire… Goodbye…'
"You know, you have Dr. Hedo to thank. If not for his modifications to my absorption capabilities, that may have been troublesome. Aw, what's the matter? I see the life fading from your eyes. Are you afraid that you will die? Don't worry, your good friend Cell will keep you safe! You'll get to live on as a part of me for the rest of eternity! You should feel honored!" Cell lifted his tail above Beytah's head. What was once a pointy stinger, opened slightly revealing a small hole. That small hole expanded making the end of the tail appear in the shape of a small cup. The tail descended upon Beta 1's head and began swallowing up creating a bulge in his tail. When the lump in his tail reached his back, there was no visible sign that Cell had eaten the boy whole, but he did let out a shriek before glowing yellow and gaining even more power. Cell charged his energy, and the new power-up destroyed the ground around him. After he was done absorbing Beta 1, Cell licked his lips.
"How refreshing, a nice snack before I move onto the main course. I feel so much stronger than I was a moment ago! It must be my Saiyan cells reacting nearly dying from that sword attack. Luckily, his essence was enough for me to recover. I never thought that a water girl's ability would come in handy. Perhaps I'll stack up on more abilities and energy before I proceed to assimilate that unknown Super Saiyan."
Aquarium
Miia, Kimihito, and Mero had gone to an Aquatic park. Currently, Kimihito and Miia are moving out of the lake after a Dragonnewt named Draco kidnaps Miia, and Kimihito crashes his swan boat into theirs. Seeing as they were both in the water, they were both wet. After they get to land, Miia bends down.
"Are you okay Miia?"
"Uh-huh."
Kimihito takes it off and gives it to Miia to keep her warm. "Here, take this."
"Oh, thank you, darling.
The two share a moment and begin laughing.
"You are going to pay for that! Get your hands off my bride this minute you pitiful human!" Said Draco prompting Miia to throw a can at their face. The Dragonewt fell back into the water.
Kimihito walked up to Draco and attempted to take off their clothes.
"Jeez, you're going to catch a cold if you keep those wet clothes on, you might accidentally hibernate. You should take them off and warm up in the sun."
"Go away! Don't touch me!"
"There." Kimihito opened the Dragonnewts jacket revealing they were female.
"So you're a girl?! Miia exclaimed."
"You idiot! All I wanted was friends who were reptiles like me!" Said Draco.
"Do you take off all your friends clothes?"
"Is that why you sent Darling that awful letter?"
"What awful letter? What are you talking about?! I'm outta here!" Draco began flying away. "You haven't won yet, you hear me!"
"So she wasn't the culprit." Kimihito muttered to himself.
"What's in here?" Miia said holding a case.
"Wait, don't open it!" Kimihito exclaimed.
In response, Miia handed it to him.
"Turn around for a second."
Miia did just that. The next thing she knew, she was suddenly wearing a necklace that resembled a snake forming a heart. "Darling, it's gorgeous! For me?"
"Well, I saw it at the gift shop and… I thought it would look pretty on you. That's all." Kimihito was covering his face with his hand to hide that he was blushing. I thought about giving it to you after the dolphin show, but-" Kimihito couldn't finish his sentence as he was glomped by Miia. "What is it Miia?"
"That's why I love him so much…' Miia thought to herself. She began constricting him with her tail. "Thank you so much, darling! You're always so sweet. I love you."
Mero watched. She was worried about them, but she was happy they were alright. That feeling was replaced with sadness as she watched the two getting closer. Her thoughts were interrupted by screaming from multiple the combined yells of a group of people running in their direction.
A man yelled towards Ms. Smith and her group "HELP ME! HEY, YOU'RE THAT M.O.N SQUAD, RIGHT?! YOU GOTTA HELP ME!" The man tripped.
"Calm down, and tell me what's wrong." Said Ms. Smith who was currently writing up Draco. Upon closer inspection, she noticed what he was running from. It was an unknown liminal species that seemed to be a cross between an insect and a reptilian species. The 'liminal' stepped on the man's back and jabbed its stinger-like tail into it.
OST: Perfect Cell Theme - Bruce Faulconer
This caught everyone's attention as the man screamed in absolute agony. Kimihito, Miia, Mero, Draco and the rest of M.O.N watch in horror as the mans body slowly liquified until it was completely dissolved into his tail. All that was left of him was his clothes.
"Oh. My. God." This was all that Ms. Smith could say at the horrifying sight.
"T-That's so horrible." Said Miia as she began to vomit her lunch.
"OH HELL NO! THAT'S ALL KINDS OF FUCKED UP!" Zombina blurted out.
"LET ME GO RIGHT NOW! THERE'S NO WAY I'M GOING TO BE NEXT." Draco yelled as she struggled even harder to get out of Tio's grasp.
"What is that thing?! Is THAT the culprit!?" Yelled Tio as she unconsciously let Draco go. Draco went to Miia.
"Come on my love, let's escape together! Said Draco."
"No, I'm not leaving my Darling Behind! Said Miia.
"Girls, we need to get out of here now!" Said Kimihito.
The humans that saw the man deflate into a mound of flesh before being sucked into this monster's tail turned the other way and began running. However, one after another, Cell stabbed his tail into each and every one of the humans including the staff who happened to be in the area. As he did this, every member of M.O.N instantly pulled out their guns and tried to gun down the monster, but their weapons did nothing. All they could do is watch as random civilians were slowly devoured as their fluid was sucked into Cell. His tail made a bulge as every bit of his victims were sucked in.
"What is this thing made of!" Doppel exclaimed.
"I knew I should have kept the gun I stole from that Beta guy!" Zombina yelled. After the insect-like "liminal" Was done absorbing the fleeing humans, he turned his attention to Mero.
Mero had her hand over her mouth in horror at what she had just witnessed. She let out a scream as she realized the monster's attention was directly on her.
"EVERYONE GET BACK!" Ms. Smith exclaimed before continuing to shoot at the monster. However now, she was using lethal force and her teammates followed suit. At this moment, she didn't care about the law, because she knew this monster was literally going to kill everyone.
"What's the plan, Smith?! He's worse than Blondie! At least he wasn't liter drinking people!" Said Zombina as she joined in on the shooting. No matter what they did, they couldn't damage Cell. This led to Ms. Smith calling for backup. As she did that, the monster began slowly advancing towards Mero."
"I apologize for missing the main attraction, but I promise, I'll make that up to you. You get to join the fans of yours as a part of my biomass." The monster sadistically laughed as he looked at Mero causing her eyes to widen. He raised his tail, and Mero flinched, bracing herself for the worse.
"NO! STAY BACK!" She said as she flinched.
OST ENDS
Fortunately, The tail never reached her. When she opened her eyes, she found that she was no longer located in the same position, and she was being held by none other than Son Goten.
"Goten? Is that you?" Said Mero looking up at her savior. Upon closer inspection, she found out that her savior was indeed Son Goten. He was wearing was still wearing his high school uniform as he flew straight to the area as soon as school ended. "Oh, thank you so much, Sir Goten! How could I ever express my gratitude? You may not consider yourself a noble, but your spirit says otherwise! I can see why Melody fell for such a brave young man!" Said Mero gazing up at Goten with stars in her eye. However, he wasn't paying attention to her. Instead, he was giving a death stare at the monster who had tried to kill her. "Sir Goten?" She said confused. She noticed an expression she had never seen from him before. He was serious, but this wasn't like the time when he scolded her for her insensitive comment to Melody. This time around, she could see genuine hatred in his eyes. Was this an
"Goten spoke quietly to Mero. "Mero, I'm going to hold him off long enough for you all to escape." He turned to Kimihito. "Hey, can you carry her? I'll make sure her wheelchair gets back to her I need every single one of you to get out of here!"
Kimihito picked up Mero from Goten's arms, and looked straight at Goten, noticing the most serious demeanor he'd ever seen Goten wear. "Goten, I know you're strong, but you're not planning on fighting this guy alone, are you? We can't just leave you to die!"
"Goten, why exactly are you here? Were you searching for the culprit?" Said Smith.
"No, I sensed my dad's energy here, but apparently the only person here is him." Goten turned back to Cell. "You aren't my dad, so why do I sense his energy coming from you?!" Said the half-Saiyan.
"Ah, yes, the Saiyan I've been looking for. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." Cell gave a bow.
"Well, I can't say I'm happy to see you! I know what you are! I'm not letting you hurt my friends! And those clothes on the ground… Those belonged to people you killed, didn't they?! Said Goten.
"Well done. You're smart enough to deduce that. I did it all for you, you know? I thought I'd stack up on a few snacks before we finally met. I wanted to make a good first impression, and I hope I didn't disappoint." Cell bowed to Goten, before continuing the conversation. "You can say I have some business with you, Saiyan."
"Well, I want nothing to do with you! I know what you are! You're another copy of Cell, aren't you?! We just got done beating one of you!"
"So, you did your research. You must've been in Hedo's time machine when he traveled to this world. But no, I'm the one and only Cell created by Dr. Gero. As for why I may have your father's energy, I traversed this entire planet absorbing beings of every species all for you. Perhaps your father was one of them. Don't worry. Whoever your father was, you'll be joining him soon." Cell licked his lips."
"Who is this, Goten? He can't be the person who sent the letter right?" Miia asked.
"I doubt it, but whatever he is, he's far worse. I thought he was a clone of Cell, an android who almost destroyed the entire Earth back in my world, but he's saying he's the real deal. That's not possible though! The real Cell was killed by my big brother, Gohan!" Goten reasoned.
"So, you say you are Gohan's brother. But that's not possible. If that were true, then my spy robots would have picked up on you by now. Well, if what you're saying is somehow true, then allow me to re-introduce myself. "Hello… Brother."
"Come again?"
"In a minute."
"Ugh, gross! You are not my brother! The only brother I have is Gohan, and the last time I checked, he's not a psychotic android hellbent on destruction."
"Shows how little you know." Cell taunted.
"What?" Goten replied.
Well, I suppose you'll die anyway so there's no harm in telling you a little about myself. As you know, my name is Cell. I am an Android and the single greatest creation of Dr. Gero, born of his computer. You see, in his efforts to create a supreme fighting organism, Dr. Gero combined the cells of the world's greatest fighters into one including those of your father. His plan was to cultivate those Cells into a single invincible entity. However, it took too long to create a complex being such as myself. Luckily, the computer continued its operation. The Namekian Piccolo, the prideful Prince Vegeta, Frieza, the tyrant responsible for the destruction of Planet Vegeta, the home of the Saiyans, His Father King Cold, and finally the one you claim is your father, the legendary Son Goku. All of them are a part of me, and soon you will be too."
"What's that supposed to mean?! No offense dude, but you're seriously creepy." Said Goten.
"Goten, try not to panic, but I think he plans to consume your bodily fluids with his tail. Before you came here, he stabbed his tail through people and sucked them into his tail from inside of their body. You need to be careful Goten." Manako warned.
"So that's what you meant? Gross, talk about bad memories! I'd rather die than become a part of you!" Goten remembered being absorbed by Buu. Although Buu did not absorb him by doing this, the idea of being eaten for power didn't sit well with him.
"Aw, that hurts my feelings. Didn't you come here to see your father? So why don't you come home to Daddy?" Cell proceeded to lick his lips after saying that.
"Stop it!" Goten exclaimed. He was officially disturbed.
"I won't let you lay a finger on him!" Tio cried out as she swung a double-sided lamp post at Cell. To no surprise, it broke. "No way!"
"So... does anyone have any ideas on how we're going to beat this guy? We need to do something before my partner in crime bites it." Said Doppel.
"Goten, do you have some kind of connection to this creature? W-Who is this?" Said Manako fearfully.
"I do have a connection, but not directly. Before I was born, he almost destroyed the world." Goten turned his attention back to Cell. "How are you here?! WHY are you here?! Even if someone brought you back from the dead, how did you end up in this world too? Dr. Hedo's machine was incomplete so even if you were sent through it like me, it should have been a 1 in 1 million chance for you to end up here! There's no way this is a coincidence!" Said Goten.
"Back from the dead, you say? Ah, you must be referring to your brother's half-baked attempt at finishing me off. To your first question, it was through the same means you must have got here. Through Dr. Hedo's time machine. In an attempt to change the fate of the world, Dr. Hedo attempted to replicate Bulma's time machine, but on a much larger scale. Instead of one person, he attempted to transport an entire Red Ribbon army base to the past, or rather the Red Pharmaceuticals headquarters as they call it now. I originally tried to use Bulma's time machine, but it was stolen by Hedo for study. Seeing this as my chance to finally absorb the two Androids that I was deprived of, I followed them in secret. Unfortunately, something went horribly wrong, and instead of going back in time, we ended up in this world. Upon realizing this fact, I still took that moment to strike. I started by trying to absorb Red Ribbon Army soldiers or rather Red Pharmaceuticals staff as they're referring to themselves now. It worked for a little until they caught on. They had one of their androids that Dr. Gero locked away, temporarily defeating me. However, instead of finishing me, Dr. Hedo decided I was better suited to being repurposed as a guard dog for his lab. The process was tortuous but that just means revenge will be that much sweeter, and because of it, I gained so many new abilities from the countless souls I absorbed."
Ms. Smith caught this bit of information. Aside from preventing Kimihito Kurusu from being assassinated by the culprit, her main goal was to find the organization responsible for kidnapping humans and liminals and turning them into weapons. She now had a name, so she could do research if she survived this encounter with this insect-looking creature. Before, she had taken what Goten said into consideration but wasn't going to treat what Goten said as absolute fact until certain things were verified. Now, a being had appeared. One that she assumed was an unknown liminal, was now revealed to be Cell, the very same who almost destroyed Goten's world at some point, or so he said. It wasn't lost on her, what he called Goten either.
"So, the name of Goten's race is a Saiyan. Why does that name sound familiar? Oh well, that's not important right now. Based on what Goten told us, this Android is more powerful than any army on the planet. I hope for the sake of us all, he wasn't just boasting about his strength." She thought out loud.
Cell continued his story. "As I was trapped within Dr. Hedo's lab, it occurred to me that I needed more sustenance to grow even stronger. I grew weak as the Doctor experimented on me. He took my incapacitation as an opportunity to repurpose me. At some point, he let his guard down and I managed to escape after an android went on the loose through the lab. I could have killed the Doctor or taken him hostage but didn't for two reasons. He was the only one capable of fixing the time machine and taking us back to our world, and by the time I escaped, Hedo had already made many new Androids who were far stronger than even me. As it would turn out, the androids that had a non-human base were even stronger than even 17 and 18, and I knew holding Hedo hostage wouldn't stop them either. After escaping, I needed to get stronger. So, I absorbed hundreds of thousands of citizens from nearby cities and towns. I thought I was masking my energy well, but I was found and nearly destroyed by another android I'm sure you know very well. However, he failed to finish me off, and while I was injured, I fled far away to avoid staying on their radar. I found myself resting in a river and was planning on staying hidden for a while, but when a small child came close, I couldn't resist." Cell gave a disturbing smile.
Everyone was completely disgusted by this information.
"Yep, this guy has got to go! I'm going to that research lab to take the gun back so I can blow this guy's head off!" Said Zombina.
"Wait, Zombina! We should listen to what he has to say. He's already revealed a lot of important information needed for future events." Said Smith.
"Yeah, if we even have a future." She replied.
"First of all, if you're going to lie, at least make it believable. Our world was fine before I was sent here, and why would Hedo have any reason to steal a time machine? He's smart enough to create one himself! Even if Beytah was a bit obsessive when it came to creating a new world order without crime, I know for a fact that Dr. Hedo would never turn innocent people into androids!" Goten thought to himself for a moment and recalled what Hedo was doing when they first met. "…Well then again, he did turn dead people into androids, but he also brought them back to their families… but that's in the past! He already served time for that!"
Beytah? Oh, perhaps you mean the Android Beta 1. Ah yes, he put up quite the fight, but his efforts were in vain. He was spouting some nonsense about being a real hero. The piece of junk actually thought he was protecting something!" Cell laughed at the fallen android's fate. "I wonder how he feels knowing his power will be used to destroy the people he tried to save."
"What did do to him?!" Goten yelled.
"Oh, were you friends? Then I'm going to enjoy telling you this next part. You see, after I absorbed the inhabitants of that village, I was still too weak. I knew that I couldn't absorb enough people while staying off their radar. However, that's where you play a part in this story. I sensed a powerful energy coming in a certain energy. Seeing as Androids can't be sensed, and my existing Saiyan Cells, I identified it as the energy of the legendary Super Saiyan. This particular Saiyan was unlike any other I've had data on. However, I knew I wasn't powerful enough to beat you, so I traveled far and wide across the world, absorbing many vermin along the way. I made quite the discovery as I went about my mission. You see, I found that in this world, humanity shared their planet with many other races and those other races had a tendency to give me more power than mere humans. As I grew more confident in my strength, I eventually traveled to this country. I still kept my distance from you, and I did eventually surpass you but I knew that slightly surpassing you wouldn't be enough to ensure my victory, so I continued. At some point I found a new city to use as my feeding grounds, and after absorbing a gelatinous blob in the form of a human girl, I was about to absorb a bird girl and the group of little children she was protecting. That's when he showed up. Beta 1, or as you call him Beytah."
"Wait a minute… Gelatinous blob in the form of a girl, and a bird girl protecting a group of children… No, don't tell me he got to Papi and Suu too!" Said Kimihito in absolute terror.
Cell turned to Kimihito. "Papi, Suu? I'm afraid that's not ringing any bells. I don't make a habit of remembering the names of my food. I absorbed the gelatinous girl, but before I could move onto the bird, I was interrupted by Beta 1 however as far as interruptions go, this was rather pleasing." Cell cruelly smiled before he turned his head back to Goten. "He showed me such a pathetic display of strength and after that grand speech about protecting the innocent too. As much of a disappointment as he was, he gave me quite the donation. Despite absorbing him, I still felt the need to feed, and so I came here. I figured I'd fuel up on a little more filth before coming to you. As for the bird girl, I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up as collateral damage. She was ultimately worthless in the grand scheme of things."
"No… YOU BASTARD!" Kimihito yelled." As for Goten, he was hyperventilating.
"Then… All those people died because I came here. No… No… You're just trying to screw with me! I'm going to make you pay Cell!" Goten declared.
"Ah, ah ah." Cell said as he waved his index finger at Goten in a condescending tone. "I didn't absorb him in the traditional way, I swallowed him up. He's alive but he's merged with me on a cellular level. Even if by some miracle you manage to kill me, you'd kill your friend too, not that you could ever hope to defeat me regardless.
Goten's energy began to swell intensely causing the entire area to shake."
"Darling, what's going on with Goten?! I've only seen him like this once but even that is nothing compared to now!" Said Miia.
"I don't know! He told me before that he's always holding back the full extent of his power. I think now, he's releasing it all." Said Smith.
"This is something that happened to Sir Goten before?" Mero asked.
"You weren't with us at the time, but when Goten first started living with us, he found out about people trafficking liminal and he got really upset. So angry that it was like there was an earthquake in my house." Said Kimhito.
"What is this kid? There's no way a filthy human like him is capable of that!" Said Draco.
Goten suddenly stopped to inhale, exhale, and calmed himself down. "You know, it's a shame. It really is. I don't know how you survived, but considering your children were around so long without anyone noticing, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. As a kid, I always hated you for killing my dad. Looking at all the other kids with their dads… seeing my best friend with his father… I was jealous. I desperately wanted to know what it was like to play with my dad, to make him proud of me, to train with him, but more than anything else, I wanted to bond with him. But I couldn't do that because you took him from me before I was even born."
And with that one speech, this already tense situation just became even more tense. A connection between the two individuals before them was established. Even Kuroko Smith was surprised because Goten never mentioned that Cell had killed his father. In fact, she remembered him speaking as if he was still alive. "Perhaps his mother remarried?" She thought.
"Darling?"
"Yes, Miia?" Kimihito was visibly shaken up by this new development.
"Didn't Goten talk about what his father does for a living? He spoke about him like he was still alive."
"Oh my, what a twist of fate! This meeting was most certainly destiny!" Said Mero.
Goten continued his speech. "…But when I was 7 years old, a miracle happened. Someone gave their own life in exchange for my dad's, and this time he was here to stay. I finally knew what it was like to have a father and soon enough, I stopped hating you or even caring about you whatsoever. That's why it's a shame. If you followed your children's example and became a better person, I wouldn't have to end your life."
"Um, am I the only one who's getting a serious case of the chills?" Said Tio.
"N-No, you're not alone there Tio." Said Manako.
"Children? What are you referring to." Said Cell.
"The Cell Juniors? I know you've been gone for a while, but don't tell me you forgot about your children." Goten replied.
"What are you talking about? Oh, I see what you're doing. You think if you confuse me, it will save you."
"Great, so I'm up against a deadbeat." Goten rolled his eyes at the monster. "Also, how can I be saved if there's nothing to be saved from? Because that's what you'll be reduced to. Nothing. Suu is a liquid so she should still be alive in there. I'm going to save her and Beytah just like my father saved me when I was absorbed by a much stronger enemy than you! And when I'm done, I'm going to wipe you off the face of the Earth."
Well, you are awfully cocky. How peculiar, an unknown Saiyan who claims to be the younger brother of Gohan. It's nothing personal, but I have a grudge against your brother for what he did to me. I was just going to absorb you like everyone else, but if you're really Gohan's little brother, I'll take my time sucking you up, just like I did to your friend Beta 1."
"You're planning on eating me? I hate to tell you this, you're incredibly unoriginal. Absorbing people to get stronger wasn't cool the first time, and it's somehow even less cool now. Like how hard is it to train for your own power? Well, whatever. It doesn't change a thing because you'd still end up being defeated by a son of Goku. Don't you dare say another word about Beytah, or I might kill you on accident, and we both don't want that."
"You aren't seriously planning on fighting him alone, are you? I mean I know you're tough, but I also heard everything he said. Are you really alright with this? We should all just get out of here." Said Kimihito as he held Mero.
"I am. This guy is tough and he's way more than any of you can comprehend. Ms. Smith, that goes for you too."
"Goten, you should know I'm under direct orders to not engage with this Cell creature, and though I have no doubt about your strength after what I saw from you, and I haven't forgotten what you told me before. This was a creature that threatened to destroy the entire planet and was defeated by your older brother, yes?"
"Yeah, that's right."
"Our military may be getting involved soon, but based on what you told me, I doubt that would be enough. You've been right so far, so that means you're our only hope. If things are too much, run and if you can't handle him, then stall for time. If you can't do that, then run. If it comes down to it, I will do what I can to distract him." Said Smith.
"You gotta hand it to her. Smith may be a lazy bum half the time, but she does take her job seriously when it counts." Said Zombina.
"Ms. Smith, I can't run from him and even if I could, I still wouldn't. If I don't do this, this guy isn't just going to kill more people, every last person on the planet. Humans, Liminals, and even the life on other planets, he doesn't care! He'll trample on everything like it's nothing! Even if I did go with you, he can sense my energy and he will do whatever it takes to get me." Said Goten.
"He's right you know. Even if he gets away, I'll just destroy this entire country to make sure he can't escape. Any attempts at hiding his energy will be futile. If he flees to another country, I'll destroy them all one by one." Cell promised.
"Oh? I wouldn't be so excited if I were you. You mentioned that you were defeated by another android earlier. You've already wasted too much time, and I'm sure that this Red Ribbon Army has already been alerted by you actions. You are responsible for the disappearances of many citizens, and interspecies exchange students alike all around Japan, correct? You said you traveled around the entire world ending lives as you pleased? Well congratulations, the entire world is your enemy. You may have the power to destroy the Earth, but I know for a fact that you won't destroy everything because if you did, you'd also destroy the machine you need to achieve perfection. Isn't that right?" Said Smith.
To this Cell began laughing. "Do you actually think you had some sort of victory over me? I know exactly what I can't destroy, but if I destroy every other place, it will be the only place for Goten to hide. I have yet to tap into all the power I have achieved. I'm sure the Red Ribbon army will send someone after me, but by then I'm sure I'll be unstoppable. Do you want to know something? There are androids who far exceed both Goten and my current self in power. However if given time, I will surpass even them. I'm part Saiyan like Goten so I can get stronger from fighting powerful opponents and from near-death experiences and although those androids may be more powerful than me, they lack the means to kill me. That's not all though. I'm also a member of many other different species as well, which means I can grow at an even faster rate than Goten. However, He's so much weaker than me that there won't be a fight." Cell laughed at her causing her to Smith to uncharacteristically grit her teeth in anger. "You were right about the part I played in those disappearances. I was responsible and they were… scrumptious. However, I'm tired of having the same meal every time. Now I'm seeking something more… exotic." Said Cell while staring right at Goten. "I'm looking forward to telling Gohan what a delicious meal his brother was before I strangle the life from his neck… although at this point, killing him would be an act of mercy. Regardless, you'll be alive as a part of me for the rest of eternity just like Beta 1! How does that sound? Not many get to experience immortality. Consider that a gift from yours truly. This way, your dear brother will burn in hell forever thinking of how he could never save you, for the rest of existence."
"Goten, don't listen to him! He's trying to trick you!" Said Miia. Unfortunately, Goten's attention was on something Cell just told him.
"What are you talking about?! What happened to Gohan?!"
"Hahaha you mean you don't know? And you call yourself his brother!" Cell mocked the Saiyan teenager.
"You better tell me right now, because I'm not laughing." Said Goten.
"And ruin the suspense? I don't think I will. It's as the soon-to-be dead woman said, I wasted too much time, but that doesn't matter now does it? Why don't you save everyone's time and accept your destiny? Become one with us brother, and together we will become... invincible."
"Sorry buddy, but that's not happening! I'll tell you how it's going to go. I'm going to save my friends, you'll tell me what happened to my real brother, and after that... Let's just say there will be no one attending your funeral."
OST: Unseen Entities II – UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes
"Is that so…" Goten looked behind him and looked in surprise as Cell was already behind him. Cell hit Goten in the face with the back of his hand, sending him flying near ground level. Goten did a handstand to get back on his feet and came flying to deliver a punch, but it did nothing to Cell, just as many attacks against Goten did nothing to him in the past. Cell countered with an underhanded punch to Goten's gut causing him to cough up saliva, before elbowing his head into the ground.
"Goten! H-He's actually being hurt!" Said Kimihito. He knew Goten wasn't invincible due to how he was found, but he also knew that anything capable of damaging Goten had to be seriously powerful.
"R-Run guys! I'll hold him off!" Goten muttered as he struggled to get up, but Cell was not done pulverizing his prey. The Bio-Android Stomped on Goten's head many times and then proceeded to lift him by the back of his head.
"Aw, what's wrong? You were so confident just a minute ago." Cell taunted the young Saiyan as the Android began dragging Goten's face against the ground before lifting him and slamming his face back into the ground. He began repeatedly stomping on his back before front-kicking him high into the air. Goten managed to halt himself into the air but barely dodged Cell's next assault.
"Goten, watch out for his tail!" Mero exclaimed.
Before Goten knew it, Cell appeared in front of him and attempted to stab his stinger into Goten's flesh as he had done to his previous victims. Goten danced around his tail, before catching the end of his tail with his feet. He fired an overhead energy blast at Cell to push himself away from the bio-android, causing an explosion where Cell was standing. Goten began charging his energy, but just when his aura went from white to yellow, Cell appeared behind him grabbed him by the back of his neck, and slammed him back into the ground. Because a Goten transforms by focusing all the power in the back of his neck, that stopped him in his tracks. Cell lifted him by the back of his head with a single hand, grabbed one of his legs, and turned Goten so that he was facing the sky. Cell flip kicked his back, knocking him upwards into the air, he flew above the airborne Goten and used both of his hands to slam him into the ground. Before Goten could hit the ground, Cell dive kicked him in his stomach using him as a surfboard when they crashed into the ground, causing Goten to cough up blood. He then grabbed Goten by his right leg and began slamming him across the ground many times. As Cell was slamming him around, Goten fired ki blasts at Cell, but it didn't even scratch the android. After leaving him on the ground for a bit, Cell waited for Goten to try to get up and elbowed his head before delivering a nasty uppercut to his gut, causing him to cough up more blood and saliva."
It all happened so fast and everyone was stunned at the blatant cruelty they were witnessing before their eyes. Ms. Smith was the first to respond.
"That is it! Let him go now or there will be hell to pay!" Said Ms. Smith angrily while pointing her gun at Cell. At this point, she was 100% sure that Saiyaman X2 was indeed Son Goten, but she did not care. Beta 1 was the name of the android she and her team fought, and she just recently found out that the name of Goten's species was known as Saiyans, at least according to this Cell and Goten did not deny that. It didn't take a genius to realize the name Saiyaman was a play on Saiyan. She remembered the power from Beta 1 when he fired a similar energy wave. It could burn through many buildings. She recalled Goten performing a similar feat albeit with minor damage, but at least Goten and Beta 1 proved not to be invincible. This creature on the other hand might have been, but she didn't care. He was harming someone that she cared about. Goten may have been a vigilante, but Smith still saw him as a good kid who wanted to do good.
"Oh, and what will you do about it? You're far too weak. Do you hear that, Goten? No one's going to save you. Not your friends, not your father, and certainly not Gohan."
"Who said I need to be saved?"
"Well, perhaps this will change your mind. Allow me to show you a little something." As Goten lay on the ground, injured, Cell began powering up his energy. A select amount of the people here had seen Goten power up albeit not intentionally. However, this creature was different. No one aside from Goten could sense ki, but even they could notice something off about Cell's aura. Unlike Goten's white aura, Cell's was a bright yellow, but instead of having a flame-like aura, Cells had faces popping out of his, and if that wasn't enough, the screams of his victims echoed throughout the environment."
Goten was almost too shocked to even speak. "All these people are trapped in Cell now and it's all because of me…"
"HOW MANY PEOPLE DID YOU KILL?! DO OUR LIVES MEAN THAT LITTLE TO YOU?!" Said Smith angrily.
Cell simply smiled grimly at her and said one word that shook her to her core. "Enough." The combination of that one word and Cell's malevolent smile was enough to answer both of her questions. This prompted her to angrily open fire at Cell. She didn't care about the laws right now. She just wanted Cell dead. This time around, she didn't even pretend to be Doppel pretending to be herself. As one would expect, it did nothing."
"You're a monster! How can you be so proud of this?! You didn't earn this power, did you?! You may have the cells of the strongest warriors but none of your power was earned! The only power you have is the power you stole from innocent people who couldn't even defend themselves! You're nothing but a coward!" Goten proclaimed.
"Stole? They get to be a part of greatness! They should be thankful that I gave them a purpose! And now you too fulfill your purpose."
"Yeah? Well, you know what I think? I think you should have never come here! Because now you're going to suffer the consequences again!" Goten began powering up as he flew towards Cell. He was going to transform, but Cell vanished and delivered a hard punch before he could even react which sent him flying backward. Goten did yet another handstand but this time, he fired a ki blast after landing on his feet to propel himself into the air to get away from Cell, and fired a volley of ki blasts towards Cell who flew through them and uppercut him further high into the air before appearing before using both his hands to slam him vertically towards the aquarium which was well over 200 meters away from where everyone was standing. Before Goten could hit the glass on the second floor, Cell grabbed him by the back of the neck and forced Goten's face into the glass, which broke it. He began dragging his face diagonally through the building and dropped the Saiyan teenager before roundhouse kicking him, down onto the second floor.
OST PAUSED
"N-No way!" Said Manako. As she stared at the sight.
"It all happened so fast!" Said Kimihito.
"What happened to him Manako? Could you see what happened to him? Is he okay over there?" Smith asked. This would normally be a stupid question after seeing someone get slammed into a building with enough force to heavily damage it, but this was Goten and she knew Goten wasn't a normal human or liminial for that matter.
In response, Manako ran up the stairs to get a better view of the part of the Aquarium that was destroyed and pulled out her scope. She had seen Cell dragging Goten with her own eye but her she needed to be at a higher ground to see what was going on inside the broken part of the Aquarium.
"He slammed Goten's face into the Aquarium and dragged him across the building. That's why it suddenly collapsed. I think he's still alive, but they're inside the destroying building, and too many obstacles have obscured my vision of them. Even if he's still alive, I don't know if he will be for long." Said Manako grimly.
"No, I won't believe it! There's no way Goten is dead! I've seen the things he can do firsthand, and I have complete faith that he'll pull through. There's gotta be something we can do to help him!" Said Kimihito.
"Darling, it's best that we don't interfere. It's not an ideal situation but right now, we're nothing but a burden. If we tried to help, we'd only get in the way. You should take the girls and get off her. My team and I will focus on getting any survivors to safety. We should have left awhile ago, but I ignored Goten's warning in favor of obtaining information. We need to get going now!" Said Ms. Smith.
"We can't just leave him to be killed by that psycho! He needs help!" Said Kimihito.
"Then how are we supposed to help?! This creature told us himself that he was responsible for possibly consuming billions of people throughout the world and nobody was able to do a thing about it! He's considered such a threat that our military will certainly be getting involved but after what Goten told me and what I'm seeing, I don't even know if they stand a chance either! I… I want to rescue Goten more than anything but there's nothing we can do!"
"Ms. Smith, what is that horrid monster?! He appears to have a snake tail like Miia." Said Mero.
"Hey, his tail is nothing like mine! At least I don't use it to suck people up!" Said the Lamia.
Ms. Smith calmed herself after getting unusually emotional. She quickly sighed and began giving Miia an explanation. "He's an android of some kind, but I don't know what he's supposed to represent. He resembles a humanoid cicada, but that's all I can say. Fortunately, Goten has told me about this creature. According to our friend Goten, he was created by a scientist known as Dr. Gero to kill his father. He apparently started a martial arts tournament in which he would destroy Goten's entire planet if he won. As it would turn out, he ended up being killed by Goten's older brother, or so it was believed. I've already called backup, but that was before I knew what we were up against. The Chief told me about him, but I didn't put two and two together before it was too late. If what Goten told me is true, then no army in the world could stand a chance against this monster. I know my team didn't." Said Ms. Smith with a serious expression.
"…Then we're pretty much screwed?" Said Zombina.
"I don't know. Goten said he's more or less equal to an Android, but the results don't appear to be in his favor. Everything Goten told me is starting to become more believable. We can't do anything to Cell, but we can still make ourselves useful and rescue any survivors we find." Said Smith.
OST RESUMED
Meanwhile at the Aquarium
"Who's there?!" Said a police officer who was near the crash. The day couldn't get any worse. First, people in the Aquarium all mysteriously disappeared, and now, a good portion of the building was destroyed. When the smoke subsided, he saw something that terrified him. He saw bug man beating a high school student by pinning him down and punching him several times in the stomach.
"Freeze! Hands where I can see them!" The officer pointed a gun at Cell.
Cell looked him dead in the eye before ending his attack on the boy with one final punch which created a hole in the that floor. The officer was completely frozen in fear. When they went through the ground, the Police officer immediately called for even more backup.
"I-I think I found the culprit! I'm pretty sure it's the thing responsible for all those disappearances on the news! I saw him crash through the Aquarium, and beating a high school student to death! There's nothing left of anyone here except for clothes just like all those cases throughout all of Japan! This isn't an isolated incident! I think our entire nation is under attack!" Said the terrified officer.
"Reinforcements are coming! Do not engage!" Said the other person on the end of the phone.
When Goten crashed into the first floor and recoiled in pain. When he recovered, he noticed his surroundings. There were a few police officers but there wasn't anyone else except leftover clothing, a reminder of Goten's failure which made it even harder for Goten to focus as Cell relentlessly attacked him once more. Goten did a backflip to distance himself from Cell, but the Bio-android was already behind him. In the middle of Goten's backflip, Cell grabbed his right calf with his right hand and slammed his fist into the left side of his torso causing Goten to yelp in pain as he was sent through a fishtank causing the water to spill and the fish to get out. Every blow Cell gave to Goten was so excruciatingly painful and fast that he didn't have time to react to his next assault. Cell appeared at every angle as Goten struggled to defend himself. The Teenage Saiyan desperately needed to get out of the water, but this Android wouldn't let him. Not to mention, the police officers would drown if this entire area flooded. 'That's it!' Goten thought. Goten used his afterimage technique, to dodge and blew a massive hole into the ground with a ki blast, causing all the water and the fish to go into that hole. He also fired another ki blast into the wall so the police officers had an easier escape. The only reason the technique worked on Cell was because he didn't know Goten could perform it. The green insect-like android quickly adapted to Goten's afterimage technique. Cell continued his attacks, but finished by swinging his tail, sending Goten crashing through many walls and ending up back outside of the building onto the ground. "So, you want to play hero? It all makes sense now. You thought if you acted as a distraction, your friends could get away. Cell grabbed Goten's face and aimed his body in a certain direction.
"Ah yes. You're friends are still in that location. Try protecting them from this, hero." Cell tossed Goten into a wall and blasted him with a yellow ki blast that tore through the wall and was headed straight for his friends.
OST ENDS
Of course, from everyone else's perspective, this all happened within a matter of minutes. They were going to leave but both Goten and Cell moved too fast. The Aquarium was hundreds of meters away, and this Cell Creature had knocked Goten into that building, and destroyed a portion of it it.
"Screw this crap, I'm outta here!" Said Draco as she tried to leave. Before she could, she felt a light behind her and when she looked she was terrified as a giant beam of light came flying toward her and everyone else.
"HOLY CRAP!" Draco shouted.
Everyone in the general area panicked. Ms. Smith flinched as she saw what these blasts could do firsthand, and here was a gigantic one far bigger than the one used by Beta 1 headed straight towards her. However, the blast was stopped by a golden glow. As the beam came closer, they heard screaming.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Before they knew it, a blonde boy… no a blonde man covered in golden flames had punched away the beam into orbit. He was wearing a wifebeater, exposing his muscular build his eyes were teal. That orb would eventually explode causing an explosion larger than Japan, but by then it was too far away to be heard. "Mero, I guess you know my 'secret trick' now."
"It's you Goten! But when did you have the time to change your hair?" Said Mero.
"No time to explain! Just get out of here! Cell is going to kill you!
Before Kimihito could even give Goten a rebuttal, Cell appeared standing in front of Goten.
"The legendary Super Saiyan in the flesh. Congratulations on managing to finally show me your true power. I must say, I'm excited to test out the strength your friend gave me." Said Cell.
"Is that why you tried so hard to stop me from transforming? Sounds to me like you're afraid."
"Oh, don't flatter yourself, boy. When you feast, do you wait for your food to power up, or do you dig in?"
"WE GET IT!" Miia yelled in the background.
"Big talk for someone who lost to an eleven-year-old." Said Goten.
"I already told you before that confusing me will not save you. You know, I could never respect you Saiyans for serving under a weakling such as Frieza but despite that, I respect your ancestors far more than you and your current generation starting with your pathetic father. The Saiyans may have been weak compared to me, but they made full use of the strength they did have. They lived for conquest and the thrill of battle, but your generation has delusions about protectors of peace. Why bother protecting worthless organisms like them? You could have easily conquered this Earth just like your father was meant to, or even this version of Earth, but just like your failure of a father, you choose to denounce your Saiyan nature to protect the Earth instead. I myself do not care for conquering the world, but I could never be beaten by someone who fails to make full use of their abilities. These people you're trying to protect are only holding you back, so I was merely doing you a favor. GO ON GOTEN! SHOW ME YOUR TRUE NATURE! NOTHING ELSE MATTERS! NOT THEM, OR THE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD. ALL THAT MATTERS IS US! GIVE ME SOMETHING TO TEST MY POWER ON BEFORE I LOSE THIS CHANCE ONCE AND FOR ALL! …Because once I absorb you, even Gohan will be powerless before me.
"You're wrong Cell! I never once denounced my Saiyan nature. In fact, you gave me the perfect opportunity to finally let loose! …But I hate that it cost people their lives. Lives that they'll never get back thanks to you!"
"Just like them, you are but a mere stepping stone to achieve what's rightfully mine. Once I achieve my perfect form, I will finally be complete, and I will never again be subjected to the humiliation of being a mere test subject! Fortunately, the upgrade to my absorption capabilities made it all worth it in the end. I haven't even begun to use my full power against you. Even as a Super Saiyan, you're far too weak!"
"You want to achieve your perfect form so badly? Well, you could have just asked." Goten's voice was emotionless. All signs of the cheerful teenager were nonexistent. There was no humorous tone implying that Goten was either 1. Trying to fool Cell for some reason or 2. Went insane and was actually willingly going to let Cell get stronger.
"Goten, this isn't a funny joke!" Said Doppel.
'Just what are you playing at?' Smith thought.
"Getting cold feet, are we? Do you think by telling me this, you can change your fate? Or perhaps you simply want to have a good fight. You Saiyan's are so typical. Even in this state, I've just been playing with my food. You don't stand a chance against me now, let alone in my perfect form." Said Cell.
"Oh, it's nothing like that. I can tell you're really desperate to achieve your perfect form, and I just thought I'd help you out of the kindness of my heart." Goten then vanished and appeared in front of Cell. The Saiyan punched him with a fist surrounded by a miniature twister, and before the punch could hurl Cell through the air, Goten grabbed his tail with his left hand, cyclone punched him again with his right hand causing his body to stretch away from his tail. He then fired a massive ki blast, which ripped Cell away from his tail.
"You wanted to become the dust in the wind right? Goten tossed his tail to the ground where it wiggled around on its own for a bit before Goten obliterated it by shooting out a small ki blast with a single swipe of his hand. "Because that is the perfect form for you after all." Goten's normally cheerful voice became deeper and darker.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Miia screamed. "DID YOU SERIOUSLY JUST RIP OFF HIS TAIL?! I mean, I'm not going to say he didn't deserve that, but I think I'm going to have nightmares for a while…" Miia shivered as she hugged her tail.
"I think we all will," Manako added as she too was disgusted by the sight. In fact most people there were, even if they didn't show it. Zombina was not 'most people'.
"OI SQUIRT! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE SO HARDCORE?!" Said Zombina.
"Not the time Bina. Besides, look at that body. He's anything but little!" Said Doppel as she saw Goten's muscles appearing through his ripped-up undershirt. If Goten heard that last comment, he didn't acknowledge it.
Goten turned to his host family. "Kimihito, I'm releasing you from your promise. There's no point in hiding it anymore, not after Cell revealed it and especially after what I'm about to do. Now, take the girls and leave. I'm going to distract him long enough for you to escape. Leave now while I still have control over myself!" Goten turned to the now tailless bio-android floating slightly above the large river, but still relatively close to the gang. "As for you Cell..."
Ost: Blazblue Cross tag Battle – Turning Fate.
Completely consumed by rage, a golden flame surrounded the Saiyan hybrid as he flew after Cell at blinding speeds. "THERE WON'T BE ANYTHING LEFT OF YOU TO BURY! Said Goten as he rushed out to finish Cell.
"Is it me, or did Goten completely lose it?" Said Tio
"And it's totally reasonable! I hope Goten gives that thing the beating he deserves!" Said Doppel.
After Goten flew after Cell, he went straight towards him and Cell was prepared to counter. However, Goten vanished appeared behind him, and punched him in the back. He then teleported to where Cell was flying and punched him away again. He teleported again and repeated the process, knocking Cell all over the place. He ended the combo by kneeing Cell in the back, causing him to plummet into the water. The Saiyan teen was far from done. Goten descended into the water and rapidly placed yellow energy mines around Cell who was stuck in the crater that was created by the force of Goten kneeing Cell into the ground underwater. As Cell was stuck in the crater, the golden-haired boy crouched down by him and laid a hand on his stomach before firing a large wave of yellow energy right on top of him, causing a colossal explosion with a golden pillar emanating out from the top of it. Goten flew out of the explosion and fired tons of mini yellow ki blasts down at where Cell was.
"WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ME OR MY FAMILY?! YOU WANTED TO SEE SAIYAN NATURE?! FINE! I'LL SHOW YOU MY SAIYAN NATURE!" Goten shouted as he continued throwing ki blast after ki blast at Cell.
After finishing his ki blast volley, he threw a large sparkling ball of yellow ki at Cell. The ball of energy had many rays of light coming out of it. Goten chucked it at Cell with both of his hands, causing the entire lake to light up. yellow rays of light came out of the lake and the ball of energy that Goten threw expanded, along with the rays of light which caused destruction to the bottom of the lake. The now tailless bio-android ascended from the water and tried to sneak attack Goten from behind, but the young Saiyan and backflip kicked Cell away. The Super Saiyan turned into two streams of yellow light that continuously hit Cell in the stomach many times and then he used another one of his techniques.
"Cyclone Style: Tornado Hurricane!" The streams of light turned back into Goten with his right fist extended into Cell's stomach. His entire body was surrounded by a twister and his golden aura, he pushed his fist deeper into Cell before swinging his fist, causing Cell to torpedo through the air, and when he reached a certain distance, he exploded. Goten knew this wasn't enough, so he continued his assault further. He flew towards the explosion and used his father's signature attack.
"KAMEHAMEHA!" Goten fired his father's signature technique at the explosion. When the smoke cleared, he saw that Cell had taken significant damage. He was covered in blood and scratches, and he was noticeably shocked by Goten's increase in power.
Goten charged up his energy before shooting straight for Cell. He hit Cell with a heavy punch to the face, followed by two more light punches and a flying kick that went deep into Cell's stomach with his right leg. He then kicked him again in the face with his left leg leaving a golden stream of golden aura that followed the motion of the kick. He went for a hard jab to Cell's gut, before kneeing him in the chest, and appearing behind him and elbowing him in the head. He then appeared all over Cell, punching him from every single angle, creating afterimages before hitting Cell with a golden energy punch which pushed Cell away once more. Goten proceeded to fire four ki blasts that went past Cell making it seem like Goten missed him, but then he hit Cell into those ki blasts with a powered-up dive kick covered in golden energy, causing a moderate-sized explosion. Goten finished up by forming a ball of energy surrounded by a whirlwind and chucking it right at Cell, blowing him up once more, and turning away from the explosion.
"It's over Cell! I'm done playing around with you!"
OST ENDS
"D-DAMN YOU! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?! I'M GOING TO SUCK YOU UP JUST LIKE EVERY MORSEL BEFORE YOU AND I'M GOING TO SAVOUR YOU!" Cell shouted.
"You put this upon yourself Cell. The only reason I didn't destroy you yet is because I know Beta 1 and Suu are still alive in you. I hate you Cell. More than you could ever imagine, but believe it or not, I don't take pleasure in making you suffer. Give back Beytah and Suu, then tell me where Gohan is, and I'll make your death quick. That's the only mercy you're getting from me."
"T-THIS ISN'T POSSIBLE! How did you get this much stronger in such a short amount of time? Even as a Super Saiyan, there's no way you got this powerful THIS FAST!"
Goten angrily grabbed Cell in the throat, and everyone who was watching briefly saw a beam of golden light fly into a tree on the left side of the lake. Goten slammed Cell against the said tree.
"No Cell, it is possible, and you're going to regret underestimating me. You shouldn't have pissed me off, because now I'm not feeling so merciful. Now tell me right now. What happened to Gohan?"
"Hehehe, y-you'd like to know, wouldn't you?" Cell stuttered due to his injuries.
Earlier with everyone else
Goten's assault didn't take very long from the point of view of the spectators. From their point of view, they could only see Goten whenever he stood still. Whenever he was flying, it was like he vanished from existence, and when he was physically attacking Cell, they saw Goten changing stances but did not see his movement. They were also surprised at the huge explosions and shockwaves that were caused by Goten's assault. Before they knew it, they were witnessing Cell, the seemingly invincible monster being pushed around by a seemingly invisible force, blown up, and finally, they saw the enormous star-like ki blast that Goten threw into the lake. They could only watch in awe as it expanded. Goten made sure the blast radius did not reach them, so they were perfectly fine.
"So that really wasn't a disguise the other day!" Said Kimihito as the group attempted to run even further with himself pushing Mero's wheelchair.
"He did say it was his real hair… and he told me he wasn't using dye either, but I simply assumed he used something else. He had a different hairstyle that day, but now that he's returned to his normal hairstyle, it's all clear to me. I happen to recall Sir Goten saying he was an unknown non-human species. I didn't question it at first, but it all makes sense to me now. I must say I'm intrigued as to what exactly a Saiyan is." Said Mero.
"He's more than that according to that Cell creep! He called him a Super Saiyan." Said Miia.
"Wait a minute, this adds up!" Said Kimihito Kurusu.
"Whatever could you mean sir?"
"Since Goten gave me permission, I guess I can tell you. Remember that day, Goten asked to speak to me in private? Well, he had a pretty good reason for it. You see, the thing about Goten is he's part of an endangered species known as the Saiyans. They were a species of warriors who were enslaved to do a tyrant's bidding. They were known for many crimes throughout the galaxy such as bringing entire races to extinction and conquering planets. Eventually, their own planet was destroyed by the same person who enslaved them and forced them to do their bidding. He feared the Saiyans were getting too powerful, and that they'd achieve a legendary transformation to overthrow him. What Goten is now must be that transformation! He didn't want to say anything at first because he didn't want people to fear him."
'That's terrifying! And here I thought Lamia's had a bad reputation.' Miia thought.
"Then are Goten and his family the last survivors? That's so tragic and yet he was so optimistic up until now!" Said Mero.
"Goten himself doesn't know a lot about them. He was born on Earth after their home planet was destroyed and he mentioned that there are only nine of them including himself, and most of them are partially human." Kimihito.
"An entire species was nearly wiped out losing all traces of its culture yet lives on through another species. That's quite bittersweet. It's rather admirable that he can still be so joyful with knowledge of such an unfortunate truth. I must say, his new appearance is quite sublime! He's like an angel!" Mero replied.
"That's so sad! His race may have done bad things, but that doesn't mean they need to go extinct! Ms. Smith, I know humans and demi-humans aren't allowed to have sexual relationships but can't the interspecies make an exception for Goten? He may be a demi-human, but his race is dying!" Said Miia.
Ms. Smith adjusted her glasses. "If he ever wanted to, nothing would stop him but he actively chooses not to. Something about too many connections to his own world. Not to mention, he didn't want people knowing what he was, so while he may be considered a liminal due to coming from another world, he's still looked at as a human. That said, I'm sure an exception could be made. Now regarding what Darling has just told us, Goten told me the same thing. He also mentioned the androids and this Cell is one of them. He once threatened to destroy his entire world, before he was dispatched by his older brother. Goten himself has decided to stay a bit longer to help us fight the same organization that created Cell and has been responsible for multiple liminal and human trafficking crimes, but that can only happen if he wins. I can see why he exposed himself to me. He didn't want my team fighting against threats like this, which in hindsight is understandable. With that said, we should seriously take his advice and head out." Said Ms. Smith.
"What about Goten?" Kimihito asked.
"We'll come back for him later but as of now, we'll only get in the way. Goten may be young, but he's also the only person who has a chance against this Cel creature. We'll have to trust that Goten can win otherwise, we're all through. If Goten gets eaten by that monster, our only hope is that some other android comes and kills Cell, but then we'll have another problem to deal with. I understand how you feel, but Goten isn't some defenseless child. He's our only hope." She replied.
However just when she said that, it seemed as if the fight was completely over.
From everyone's point of view, all of this happened in around two minutes, and this time they started to leave, but when they looked back, it appeared as if Goten had already won the battle. However, this was cut short because of the explosion. Manako looked and saw Cell missing more than just his tail. He was missing a lot of his abdomen, his right arm and leg were completely gone, and since Manako had the best vision out of any of them, she saw that Cell was beaten, bloodied, and breathing heavily after that blast.
"Excuse me, but I think it's already over. Look at your own risk." Said the Monoeye.
This caused everyone to stop in their tracks. Tionishia looked despite Manako's warning and didn't like what she saw. Cell had injuries that by all means, should be fatal.
"I think Goten won! …But I wish I didn't see that. How is he even still alive?" Said Tionishia.
"I don't know, and I'm not going to find out! I'm going back to my host family!" Said Draco. She then left the area.
"That Goten kid is really something else! Good with pranks and he can kick some serious ass! He really showed him! I bet Goten would be a great addition to the team!" Said Doppel.
"Um, what is Goten doing with his body? Wait, Cell is somehow still alive!" Said Manako.
"Wait but how? His guts should be spilling out of his body! I gotta see this for myself." Said Zombina before going around the lake to get to Goten and Cell.
"Wait! We don't know if Cell has any tricks up his sleeves! It's best that we proceed with caution. We need to make sure Cell is dead." Said Smith as she and the rest of M.O.N chased after her. Some members of M.O.N were faster than the others, but they all got there fast enough to hear something they never thought they'd hear from Goten of all people."
"DON'T YOU DARE LIE TO ME! THERE'S NO WAY GOHAN WOULD EVER DO THAT! NOW TELL ME WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO HIM BEFORE I BLOW OFF YOUR HEAD AND RIP OUT THE REST OF YOUR STOMACH! I'M SURE THAT WAY, I CAN RELEASE BEYTAH AND SUU BY FORCE!" Goten angrily yelled.
When they heard this, every member of M.O.N instantly bolted to the nearest hiding spot which was either behind another tree or bushes that were nearby. They had assumed Cell was dying and hoped to retrieve Goten so he could be brought back to Kurusu's residence, but after they heard that from Goten, they were terrified. They were going to try to finish off Cell but after hearing Goten and seeing what he was doing to Cell, they didn't want to interrupt.
"HOLY CRAP TIO! YOU WERE RIGHT! HE REALLY DID LOSE HIS SHIT! I'M JUST GLAD HE'S ON OUR SIDE!" Zombina whispered but was still loud.
"I-Is he going to be okay? I hope he doesn't change too much after this. He has to be going through a lot right now." Said Manako.
"Hey, so sorry if this is an inappropriate time to ask but who's Gohan?" Tio asked.
"Gohan is the older brother of Son Goten. According to the man of the hour himself, Cell attacked his world, and he was killed by his brother Gohan. Of course, this was before Goten was even born." Said Smith.
"So, his brother is here too huh? I can't even begin to imagine what the rest of his family is like. Seriously though, a race of warriors who used to conquer entire planets. Someone better warn Goten before girls start chasing his seed." Said Zombina.
"I-I hadn't thought about that. That could be an issue, but at the same time restricting Goten from having relationships would be the same as driving his species to extinction, and I don't think I have to explain why that's contemptible. It's not like we could stop him anyway. We don't know for sure if he's ever going to go back to where he came from, so we need to be prepared for that." Smith replied.
"You think you've won?! Well, I got news for you!" Said Cell.
Suddenly, the parts that Goten destroyed began pulsating. Not knowing what was happening, Goten distanced himself away from Cell. Cell's destroyed body parts were instantly regenerated which in turn caused fluid to fly out, dissolving the nearby ground.
"Oooof course, you have regeneration." Goten facepalmed.
"I have Piccolo's Namekian Cells which means I too have the ability to regenerate. Such a useful trait. I love the Nameks."
"Well, if your regeneration is anything like Piccolo's, then that must have taken a lot out of you! There must also be a limit!"
"I'll admit that You have powerful techniques, but you're still too weak. As for my regeneration, that may be true, but I don't even need to use it against you anymore."
"Well see about that!" Goten went charging at Cell for another assault, but his punch went phased right through Cell's face.
"WHAT?!" Goten yelled.
Cell followed up by grabbing Goten's right forearm, the very arm he used in his attempt to attack Cell. He then hit Goten in the gut with an underhanded punch, that caused him to cough up saliva and blood. As it would turn out, Cell wasn't bluffing about being a lot stronger than Goten as a Super Saiyan, but being enraged briefly made Goten stronger but the rage boost was not a permanent power-up. What Cell had wasn't something that would simply fade away after a brief moment.
'His body felt just like Suu's!' Goten thought.
"As I alluded to before, to make up for my inability to achieve my perfect form in this world, Gero's grandson experimented on me and upgraded my absorption capabilities. The idea was to repurpose me as a guard dog for his research lab that would adapt to any possible threat. Because of his modifications, once I absorb an organism, I can take on its characteristics at will... Hm?"
Cell noticed the members of M.O.N. hiding away.
"Ah yes, the perfect subjects for a demonstration..." Cell fired webs at the spots where every member of M.O.N. was hiding. Not registering what Cell just did, he teleported to Tionishia to deflect the web, but it simply pushed Goten to the ground which in turn, made Goten's arm stick to the ground. "NO!" He screamed, as his friends except Tio were hit by the attack. Fortunately, all it did was put them in a similar situation as Goten, but they were even more restrained.
"What are you doing here?!" Said Goten.
"We thought you beat Cell, so we were going to make sure was dead and give you a ride home. Oh, I better get a raise after having to put up with this." Said Ms. Smith.
"It's so sticky! I can't get out!" Said Manako.
"OH, COME ON!" Said Zombina.
"What is this stuff?" Said Doppel.
"Goten, are you okay?" Said Tionishia.
"I'll be fine! Focus on getting them out of his webs! I think I have a way to defeat Cell."
Cell vanished to Goten who was now in front of his friends. "Now your friends are stuck! Are you willing to go all out, knowing these weaklings will be caught in the crossfire? You don't have control of this fight, so this river will be our battlefield, and nothing can be done to change that. Even with your power increasing through anger, you're simply too soft to pose a significant threat. You could have gone for the kill back there, but you held back, and for what? Some fruitless attempt at saving two insignificant morsels whose fates are already sealed?
"If I can be rescued after being absorbed by someone far stronger than you, then I can save them from you! You think my compassion makes me weak? You don't know crap about us Saiyans! Yeah, my ancestors are responsible for a lot of awful things but that's all in the past. Now, we just want to protect our home, and right now this world is my home which means you gotta go. You think taking what isn't yours is what makes the Saiyan? Well, I guess I'm not a Saiyan, because your life is already mine." Goten powered up and used his energy to destroy the webs.
"YOU TELL HIM GOTEN!" Zombina cheered him on from the webs.
"Well, you can certainly bark, but let's see your bite!" Said Cell
"Bring it on Cell! The real fight starts now!" Said Goten.
"Oh, I wouldn't call this a fight. This is nothing more than an opportunity to test my new abilities." Cell retorted.
Both the Super Saiyan and the bio-android assumed a fighting stance as they got ready to continue their duel. This was a fight where neither of them could let the other getaway. Cell felt that he needed to absorb Goten to stand a chance against the new Red Ribbon Army. However, seizing his prey wasn't as easy as he thought. As for Goten, he couldn't let Cell absorb any more liminals and gain their abilities. He didn't know what kind of abilities certain liminals had, but for all he knew, they would make Cell invincible.
I don't have much to say other than I hope you enjoyed so I'll give you some of my OC pronunciations.
