The next few weeks passed uneventfully.

On the night of Tuesday, September 29th, 1992, Hannah asked Harry, Amy, and Susan to come up to her room after they'd finished a dinner of spaghetti with meatballs, breadsticks, and Budweiser.

Harry, Amy, and Susan all agreed to this and followed Hannah to her room. Hannah closed the door and performed a Privacy Charm on the door and room.

"So," said Hannah softly, "I want to ask the three of you a favor, but I will understand if the answer is no."

"Go on," chorused Harry, Amy, and Susan.

"Tomorrow," said Hannah quietly, "is the eleven year anniversary of my father's death."

Harry, Amy, and Susan all looked at Hannah sadly, remembering how tragic Hunter Abbott's death had been.

"I have made some special necklaces by hand in tribute to and in the loving memory of my late father Hunter Abbott. I would greatly appreciate it if the three you of you would wear these necklaces along with me tomorrow. I should warn you that you may find these necklaces embarrassing to wear. I have my own reasons for having made the necklaces the way that I made them, and it would mean the world to me if you three would join me in wearing these necklaces tomorrow in the loving memory of Hunter Abbott. "

Harry and Amy looked meaningfully at Susan. They all would wear the necklaces with Hannah of course, but, as Susan had been Hannah's Bestie for many years before she'd even met Harry or Amy, they felt Susan should reply first.

Susan got the hint quickly and piped up, "Hannah, of course I'll wear the necklaces tomorrow. Hannah, your friendship has meant everything to me since we were but baby girls. I'll always be there you and stand by you come hell or high water to our world."

"I will absolutely wear the necklace tomorrow," promised Amy, "If it's important to you, then it's important to me. Besides, I'm sure you'd do the same for any of us if we asked."

"I AM wearing that necklace tomorrow," declared Harry fiercely, "I don't give a damn what some random student might say about it because they won't understand what it means but I will. We've all been scarred in our own ways. We're the Yellow Quartet. We're in this together. If it means something to you for me to wear that necklace, then it means something to me too."

Hannah felt a few silent tears running down her cheeks as she looked at her three BFFs.

"Okay, " said Hannah slowly, "But I might as well warn you before I show them to you what the necklaces are made of and what they look like. My dad's favorite candy was lemon drops and his initials were H.A. I have made necklaces out of lemon drops that depict an interlocking H and A and I've already attached the necklaces to chains."

Next nanosecond, Hannah went over to her trunk and opened it. She retrieved four necklaces from her frunk that perfectly matched the description Hannah had just given of them. She put one on herself and tossed one each of three to Harry, Amy, and Susan, who each put them on instantly.

"Are you three still on board with wearing these tomorrow? If not, there will be no hard feelings on my part," asked Hannah.

"YES!" replied Harry, Amy, and Susan instantly.

"Hannah," said Harry quietly, "These necklaces are a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man. There is pure inner beauty in these necklaces because of who they honor and what they represent."

Hannah felt her insides explode with an emotion she couldn't quite explain at hearing that.

"It's a nice and quiet way of honoring someone who paid the ultimate price in the war," said Amy in a low voice, "Nothing too over the top. A simple use of a man's initials and favorite candy in his loving memory. Hunter deserves to be honored and I'm proud to be able to help honor him."

The unexplainable emotion inside of Hannah grew.

"It's very moving that you made this tribute by hand," said Susan slowly, "There's a certain purity in things that are crafted by hand. Magic has its place in the world but there are certain times when making something by hand is the only fitting way to do it. Creating a tribute like this is certainly one of those times."

The unexplainable emotion inside Hannah swelled.

Hannah broke down completely and sobbed. Sobbing tears with a burning sensation in them. One fifth joy, one fifth terrible sadness, one fifth pride, one fifth gratitude, and one fifth pure emotion.

"Thank you," sobbed Hannah, "Harry, Amy, and Susan, I can't fully express how much this means to me. I am very touched by your support. I can feel you three inside of me."

They all looked at each other and suddenly had an idea.

While Heather had occasionally permitted the Yellow Quartet to go naked at Abbott Manor, usually to have naked water balloon fights, Harry, Amy, Susan, and Hannah all knew that the headmistress would never allow them to go naked in front of the whole of Skyward School of practical Sorcery. But it would mean a lot to them to stand by each other all completely naked except for the necklaces.

So, Harry, Amy, Susan, and Hannah all took off all their clothes, including their socks and shoes, so that they were completely naked and then put the necklaces back on around their necks.

Harry, Amy, Susan, and Hannah proceeded to have a tight group hug with also intentionally stepping on each other's feet.

All hugging each other and stepping on each other's feet while completely naked except for the lemon drop H.A. necklaces that were a tribute to Hunter Abbott, Harry, Amy, Susan, and Hannah could all feel each other inside of each other and they could all feel what these necklaces meant.

They would wear the necklaces tomorrow on the anniversary of Hunter's death.

Tonight, in this moment, the Yellow Quartet was one. They were each other.
