DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER.

Harry and Susan slept on until 5 in the evening. As soon as they woke up, they started going through the new toys. Soon, in the playroom, where Amelia had kept them, they had joined the train tracks together. Harry was running a train across and Susan was moving a toy convertible car with a small owl figurine on top towards a crossroad.

Sometime later, they heard a voice ringing out, "Enjoying yourselves my loves, aren't you?" Harry turned around to see Amelia looking lovingly at them and moved over to her for a hug. Amelia sat down and hugged him tightly before giving him a kiss. Of course, she did the same for Susan.

Around 7:30, Amelia brought the children into the dining room for dinner which was freshly made tomato soup. Harry took one spoon of it and smiled. This was so good, way more than he had ever had with the Dursleys.

After they had finished eating, Amelia brought them into the living room for a story.

She decided to read out one of the new books, called 'Good Night Gorilla' in which a baby gorilla stole the zookeeper's keys while he was wishing him good night and proceeded to unlock all the other animals' cage doors in the zoo, after which they all followed the zookeeper all the way up to his bedroom.

Harry and Susan burst out into peals of laughter when Amelia performed some voice impressions for all the animals to say good night, and when she turned to the page where the zookeeper's wife woke up to find all the zoo animals inside their bedroom.

The wife finally took all the animals minus the baby gorilla back to the zoo, and he was allowed to sleep with them in the bedroom. Harry and Susan loved that part.

After the story, they all brushed their teeth. Afterwards, Amelia led Harry and Susan to the bedroom just opposite to Susan's, both of which were at the end of the corridor. As they entered the room, Amelia said, "Well Harry, take a look at your new room."

Harry's eyes widened with amazement as he looked at his bedroom. The walls and the ceiling were red, yellow, blue, green and cream. And it was quite big, as big as Amelia's room.

Harry asked, "Is it for me?"

Amelia answered, "Your own very bedroom, way more spacious than just a cupboard under the stairs. How do you like the colors?"

Harry beamed and hugged Amelia saying, "I love them! Thank you!"

Amelia hugged him and carried him over to the bed. She then changed him into his pajamas and said afterwards, "I'll just be back. Just let me bring Susan over."

Amelia went into Susan's bedroom and carried her into Harry's, proceeding to place her on the bed. She then went into her own bedroom and retrieved an album.

Sitting on Harry's bed with Harry and Susan on each side of her, she opened the album and said, "Now Harry, let me tell you a story, a very important one."

Harry leaned over to stare at a picture of a red haired girl dressed in black robes with a red badge standing near a beech tree. Amelia explained, "There was once a lovely girl named Lily with red hair. She was so kind and loving. She was more than just an ordinary girl. She was magical. And she was a very smart witch in school."

Turning over to the next picture which showed the same girl, now older, around 17 or 18, she continued, "When Lily grew up, she became a beautiful woman, so beautiful, and so caring."

Moving on to a picture showing Lily standing next to a young man with glasses and jet black hair, she said, "In the school that she went to as a witch, she met a handsome young man, also magical, a wizard, whose name was James."

Amelia noticed Harry's eyes widen as he looked at the picture. Smilingly, she turned over to a picture showing James and Lily on their wedding day and said, "Lily and James loved each other so much, and they decided to get married."

Turning to Harry, she said, "And so, they got married. One day, something very special happened. They were going to have a baby."

She turned to a picture of a pregnant Lily standing outside a cottage and said, "This was the cottage that James and Lily lived in."

Turning over to picture where Lily was sitting on a bed next to James, holding a newborn baby, she said, "One day, on July 31st, a beautiful baby boy was born. And they decided to name him Harry James Potter. That baby was you my Harry."

Harry looked up at Amelia and asked, "That was me?"

Amelia kissed his forehead and replied, "Yes, that was you! And your Mummy and Daddy loved you very much."

Amelia turned to a picture where baby Harry was being held by a young man with long dark hair and a woman with yellowish brown hair. Harry pointed to the woman and cried out excitedly, "That's you Aunty!"

Amelia laughed and said, "Yes Harry, that's me."

She then pointed to the man and continued, "This is your Uncle Sirius. He was your Daddy's best friend. He loved you like anything, and now, he loves you more than ever as he always has. Uncle Sirius and I, your Aunt Amelia used to visit you. We used to hold you a lot, and I used to rock you to sleep sometimes."

She then moved on to a picture in which baby Harry was being held by Sirius and another man with light brown hair and said, "That's Uncle Sirius and the other man holding you is your Uncle Remus. You used to call him Mooey when you were very small. He was also a very good friend of your parents and he loved you very much."

Eventually, they reached the end of the album, the last picture being that of Harry's parents holding him.

Hugging him, she whispered, "Your Mummy and Daddy loved you so much Harry, and they still do."

Harry hugged her back. For a few moments, he was smiling, but then his expression changed and he said sadly, "Then, they died in a car crash and I had to be with Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia and they did not love me."

For a moment, Amelia felt her blood boiling upon hearing that, but then she thought about the more important thing which was the murder of Harry's parents. She wondered if she should tell him now or later, but ultimately decided that now was better.

After turning off the lights except for a lamp light next to Harry's bed, she held him and said, "Harry, that's not true. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon lied to you. They didn't die in a car crash."

Harry looked up in wonder and asked, "They didn't?"

Amelia took a deep breath and said, "In this world, there are good people and bad people, even in the magical world. You are a lovely magical child, a wizard, and Susan is a good witch. Your Mummy was a good witch and your Daddy was a good wizard. Uncle Sirius and Uncle Remus are also good wizards. I am a good witch too. But, there are bad witches and wizards too."

Harry asked, "Like Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia?"

Amelia couldn't help chuckling at that and she replied, "Well, they are bad people. They did not take care of you the way they should have. They were mean to you, but they are not magical. A non magical person is a Muggle. The Dursleys are Muggles."

"Oh, okay," Harry replied.

Amelia remained silent for a moment before saying, "Some years ago, there was an evil wizard. He didn't like Muggles and magical people whose parents were Muggles, and he said that we magical people should be doing bad things to them like killing them and treating them badly."

Harry said, "But that is bad. Not good to kill."

Amelia said, "Yes, it's not good to kill people. But this bad wizard killed many people because he did not like them. Many people were scared of him. His name was Voldemort."

Harry said, "Voldimot?"

Amelia corrected him saying, "Vol-de-mor-t. His name was Voldemort."

She then continued, "Your Mummy, Daddy, Uncle Sirius, Uncle Remus, and Aunt Amelia, that's me, told him no, this is not correct. He had many friends who used to help him kill others, and we went and stopped those bad people. Voldemort did not like us because we were always trying to stop him. In fact, Susan's Mummy and Daddy were also trying to stop him, and one night, he killed them."

Harry asked, "He made Susan's Mummy and Daddy go away?"

Susan replied, "He made my Mummy and Daddy go away."

Amelia hugged Susan and kissed her forehead before saying, "And one fateful night, when you were only one year old, Voldemort came to the cottage where you and your parents were living in, and he killed them. They didn't let him come and get you, and for that, he murdered them."

Harry looked at Amelia in shock as he heard all this. And then he burst into tears. Amelia immediately wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into her lap, proceeding to rock him from side to side. This went on for a few minutes before Harry finally calmed down.

Sniffing, Harry said, "So Mummy and Daddy are dead. Did he get Uncle Sirius and Uncle Remus?"

Amelia said, "No, after he killed your parents, he mysteriously disappeared. You could say that he's dead. As for Uncle Remus and Uncle Sirius, they are still alive, but Uncle Remus became very sad and we haven't seen him for a long time. There was a man who was not supposed to tell Voldemort where your parents were, but he told him. And many people say that it was Uncle Sirius who told Voldemort, but that is not true. He did not."

Harry said, "Dudley stepped on Aunt Petunia's flowers and said that I did it. Uncle Sirius didn't tell but someone said he did it."

Amelia said, "Correct Harry, it's just like that. But soon, things will be better."

She then waited for a moment before saying, "Also, Uncle Sirius is your godfather."

Harry asked, "What's godfather?"

Amelia explained, "A godfather is a man who is supposed to take care of a child if the parents are not able to, if they're dead or something like that. If it's a woman and not a man, then she is a godmother. In fact, Uncle Sirius was supposed to take care of you, but then everyone thought that Uncle Sirius was bad and put him in jail."

Harry asked, "Will he come back?"

Amelia replied, "I'm trying to help him. Soon, he will come back."

Harry asked, "Will I have to go away from you?"

Amelia hugged him and replied, "No Harry, I will never leave you. After Uncle Sirius comes here, we will marry and then we will both take care of you like your Mummy and Daddy would have."

Harry suddenly asked, "Aunty, are you my godmother?"

Amelia looked at him in surprise. She knew that Lily and James had not appointed a godmother. Sirius was the only guardian on the list. But if she had been married to Sirius earlier, she would have been Harry's godmother by marriage.

Plus, she didn't have the inclination to tell him that she wasn't. Besides, James and Lily would have trusted her to take care of Harry if Sirius couldn't.

So she whispered, "I am your godmother, and I will take care of you. I will feed you, clothe you, bathe you and love you like my own child."

Harry hugged her tightly and wrapped his arms and legs around her. Amelia smiled and hugged Harry back. She then said, "Let me just put Susan to bed now, and then I'll be back. Susan, say goodnight to Harry."

"Goodnight Harry," Susan chirped hugging Harry and kissing his cheek. Harry hugged her back and replied, "Goodnight Susie."

Amelia carried Susan and went out of the room to put her to bed. A few minutes later, she came back and tucked Harry under the covers. Hugging him and kissing him, she said, "Goodnight Harry, I love you."

Harry kissed her and replied, "I love you Aunty. Goodnight."

Amelia kissed him and laid his head on the pillows before turning off his lamp and exiting the room. As she closed his door, she felt happy.

Harry needed to be loved and cared for. Amelia felt that in taking Harry away from the Dursleys, she had done the right thing. James and Lily would have trusted her with Harry if Sirius couldn't take care of him.

She whispered, "Harry, I didn't see you or check up on you for two and a half years. I'm sorry I left you. I should have taken you in from the start, not those horrible Dursleys. I may not be your godmother officially, but I will be your godmother because I love you and I will take care of you. Sleep peacefully my baby."
