DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was not in a good mood as he sat in his office on this Monday morning. Far from it, he was worried.

For, he had just heard from his trusted spy, Arabella Figg, a squib, that Harry James Potter was no longer to be seen with his relatives in the neighborhood of Privet Drive.

Upon questioning her, Arabella Figg had explained that she had tried to find out what had happened to Harry after not seeing him or hearing about him for a few days, but Vernon had brushed her off saying that he had run away with some crazy freak woman.

This certainly was not good. It could only mean that Harry had been kidnapped.

But how could this be? The blood wards generated from Lily's sacrifice plus Petunia Dursley nee' Evans taking Harry in were supposed to protect him from Voldemort and his Death Eaters as long as Harry considered that place as his home.

And the word 'crazy' for a moment made Dumbledore wonder if Bellatrix Lestrange had somehow escaped from Azkaban and somehow managed to get past the wards and take Harry.

No, Bellatrix was still in Azkaban. Else, her escape would have been in the papers by now.

Currently, Minerva McGonagall and Severus Snape were sitting opposite Dumbledore at his table. Dumbledore had just explained the current situation.

Dumbledore spoke, "It is quite terrible to know that Harry Potter has disappeared. Who could have possibly kidnapped him?"

Snape spoke, "Perhaps he ran away on his own, simply to escape from getting disciplined like his 'blessed father' should have been."

Minerva and Dumbledore looked at Snape in disgust and Minerva spoke, "Severus, he's not even four. Why would he try to run away? He won't even know how to survive!"

Dumbledore spoke, "We will need to find him and return him to his aunt and uncle."

Minerva spoke angrily, "Albus, from the way things were described it seems that his aunt and uncle do not care! Otherwise, the police would be at their door. Are they?"

Dumbledore replied, "No, according to Arabella."

Minerva stood up and accused, "I told you, they are the worst sort of Muggles, but did you listen to me? No!"

Dumbledore raised his voice saying, "LISTEN TO ME! Harry's current situation is what we are discussing. As for the Dursleys, you know why I placed him there. Lily's sacrifice for her child gave him a protection of love. For that protection to be strengthened, a relative of the person who sacrificed themselves needs to accept him as their own, and Petunia has done that for Harry. The blood wards function to protect him from those who wish him harm, especially from Voldemort."

Snape suggested, "Then the only way someone could have possibly kidnapped Potter is if the kidnapper had no harmful intentions. Perhaps whoever has taken Potter desires to worship him as the celebrity that he is in our world. Or perhaps he or she cares for him. Based on that, it would be prudent to suspect Lupin."

Minerva said, "He is a werewolf and the ministry would never let him take custody of the child. Be sensible Severus."

Dumbledore looked at them for a few moments and said, "You do have a point Severus. We should find out just who that person is."

Severus further suggested, "It could have been the Malfoys for all we know. Narcissa has always desired another child, but has not been able to bear one after Draco Malfoy. Also, raising the Boy-Who-Lived would further help Lucius Malfoy remain in the Ministry's good books."

Dumbledore said, "That is very possible. As today is the Hufflepuff-Slytherin quidditch match, there will be no classes today. I highly suggest visiting the Malfoys to find out if what you suggest is really true."

"I shall," Severus replied.

Dumbledore said, "Very well, I suggest you go now after grabbing something to eat. It will be some time before the match begins."

Severus nodded his head in response.

The three of them stood up and walked out of the Headmaster's office.

As Severus exited, he thought of the possibility of Harry being with the Malfoys. It was quite possible that Lucius and Narcissa had removed him from the Dursleys.

Whatever it was, the boy would have to be found. And then he'd have to go back to his aunt and uncle. Surely, they'd have been worried about him. Who would not want to take care of the Boy-Who-Lived?

And, as much as he was Lily's child, he was also James Potter's spawn. And Severus had promised to protect Harry for Lily's sake. However, that did not mean coddling him, did it? And plus, he was a spy.

As for Minerva McGonagall, her thoughts took a different course. If whoever had kidnapped Harry had managed to get past the wards, then obviously, it had to be someone who cared for him. She had tried to convince Dumbledore not to send Harry to the Dursleys, but to no avail. And now it was possible that the poor child had been abused.

Plus, Arabella had mentioned that it was a woman who had done it. The question was, which woman?

And then, something clicked in her mind, even as she remembered a flashback.

One year old Harry was racing around on his toy broomstick in the evening while Amelia and Minerva sat watching him in the living room of the Potters' cottage in Godric's Hollow.

Just then, there was a loud clap of thunder outside, quite loud!

Harry screamed and got off his toy broom, screaming and crying out, "Mama!"

Amelia stood up and rushed over to him saying, "Oh my baby Harry, come here."

She sat down and pulled him into her lap, enveloping him in her arms and saying, "Don't be afraid my child, I'll protect you from the storm."

Amelia rocked him in her arms and nipped his cheeks.

Just then, Lily came into the living room calling out, "Oh my poor baby, come to Mama." Sitting down, she took Harry from Amelia and held him. Harry stopped crying and rested his head against her bosom.

Lily said to Harry, "Don't be afraid of the storm, Mama's here now. Mama's here, Mama's got you. Mama loves you."

Baby Harry held out his left hand, and Amelia took it and kissed it.

Minerva turned into a cat and standing in front of Harry, she meowed. Harry turned his head to look at her and smiled. He then called out, "Minkitty."

Lily smiled and said, "Whenever both of you or at least one of you are around, Harry doesn't cry so much during a thunderstorm."

Amelia smiled and said, "I remember being frightened of thunderstorms when I was a child. My mother would often hold me tightly during such times."

Lily replied, "Every child needs to be held during one."

Turning back into her human form, Minerva replied, "Indeed, especially this little one here." Saying so, she kissed Harry on his cheek.

Amelia moved her head closer to Harry's and whispered, "Maybe I'll eat you up. Maybe then you won't be so frightened of these storms, because then you can hide inside my tummy. How is that you little one?"

Lily turned to Harry who was staring at Amelia and said, "So what is it? Will you let Ami eat you?"

Harry held his arms out and said, "Ami."

Amelia took Harry from Lily and said to him, "Oh my baby, come to Ami and let her gobble you up."

Saying so, she pretended to eat him, first blowing a raspberry on his tummy. A few moments later, she stopped and hugging him, she whispered, "Now you're mine and the storm can't get you."

Suddenly, Harry held his arms out and yelled, "Mama, Mama, Eeeeeee!"

Lily hugged Harry and kissed his forehead saying, "We've got you baby. You're mine." Minerva turned back into a cat and began to nuzzle Harry, much to his delight as he laughed.

Minerva smiled as she remembered that evening.

And then it occurred to her. It had been mentioned that some lady had taken Harry. And if what Dumbledore said about the blood wards was absolutely true, then only someone who had no evil intentions could have taken Harry.

But who would? Perhaps someone who cared for Harry would want to make him feel happy, safe and loved, and would take Harry away from the Dursleys for that.

Minerva was almost sure by now about who had taken Harry. She hoped that she was correct.

A visit to Amelia was in order.
