DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER.

Around 10 pm, Vernon and Petunia were looking at Dudley in his bedroom and cooing all over him as he slept.

Their 'perfect' Duddykins was the best, no matter what anyone said.

But of course, that was only in the eyes of Vernon and Petunia.

Just then, they heard someone banging on the door.

Vernon and Petunia went downstairs wondering who it was.

Petunia muttered, "Maybe that 'boy' has come back."

Vernon muttered, "Who could it be at this bloody hour?"

He opened the door and came face to face with the man who had visited the previous night and a stern woman wearing a pointed hat, glasses and green robes. Both of them were looking furious.

As soon as the door opened, Dumbledore yelled, "YOU SICK, TWISTED, WICKED, PEOPLE! HARRY DIDN'T DESERVE TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT!"

Vernon and Petunia were startled by this, but Vernon regained his composure a few moments later and scoffed, "That boy's obviously been telling you lies. I told you he was nothing but…"

Minerva who was standing next to Dumbledore yelled, "HOW DARE YOU! YOU KEPT YOUR OWN NEPHEW IN A CUPBOARD! TO THINK THAT THE POOR CHILD MUST HAVE BEEN BITTEN BY SPIDERS SEVERAL TIMES! SHAME ON YOU!"

Petunia spoke, half nervously, half scornfully, "We gave him a home as you said. We gave him a place to sleep, we gave him food, we clothed him, we bathed him; we gave him everything."

Minerva yelled, "YOU DIDN'T GIVE HIM THE THING HE NEEDED THE MOST FROM YOU, LOVE AND CARE!"

Vernon yelled, "We took good care of our nephew and in return, he gave us trouble and finally ran off with that freakish woman!"

Dumbledore yelled, "AMELIA WAS RIGHT TO DO WHAT SHE DID! SHE IN FACT DID WHAT WE SHOULD HAVE DONE LONG AGO!"

He paused for breath before continuing, "I LEFT YOUR SISTER'S JOY AND PRIDE WITH YOU AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT HIM, IS IT?! SHAME ON YOU! LILY WOULD HAVE LOVED YOUR OWN SON LIKE HER OWN IF IT HAD BEEN THE OTHER WAY ROUND, THAT YOU AND VERNON HAD DIED AND JAMES AND LILY HAD LIVED!"

Petunia pleaded, "Please, lower your volume. What will the neighbors think?"

Minerva hissed, "Is that all you can think of, quite ironic considering that you abused your own nephew! Lily would be so ashamed of you! You disgust me!"

Petunia stuttered, "Bu… but, what about, P, Po, Potter?"

Dumbledore spoke in response, "Harry will never be coming back here. You are not fit to raise a lovely child such as him! In fact, you are not fit to be parents!"

Minerva said, "If it wasn't for the authorities, I'd hex you until you begged for mercy! In fact, I just feel so tempted to turn your son into a pig, not that he's not one already, considering how you've been stuffing him with sweets while hardly giving Harry any good food, starving him at times! Oh, don't think I don't know anything! Amelia told me everything! What you have done to that poor child is monstrous! You've called Harry names such as 'freak', but I say; YOU ARE MONSTERS!"

Vernon and Petunia had pale looks on their faces. Vernon mumbled something which sounded like 'Mimblewimble'.

Dumbledore turned towards Minerva and said, "Enough Minerva, let us leave this place."

Minerva nodded and they turned to leave.

They had just taken a few steps away from the house when Dumbledore suddenly turned to look back and yelled, "DON'T THINK YOU WILL GET AWAY WITH WHAT YOU'VE DONE! DON"T THINK YOU WON'T BE GOING TO COURT FOR THIS, BECAUSE I'M SURE AMELIA WILL FILE CHARGES AGAINST YOU!"

And with that, he and Minerva disapparated away from Privet Drive with a loud pop.

Vernon and Petunia looked at each other and went out onto the porch.

And then, they saw what they had hoped not to see, a neighbor looking out of the window of the next house, and another one standing on their porch.

Their reputation had been dragged into the mud.

Petunia gasped and said, "Vernon love, we have to get away from this place. We should move. This is so unfortunate considering we've lived in this house for almost seven years!"

Vernon looked at his wife with a pale expression and replied nervously, "Yes Pet, we should move. Perhaps we could visit Marge and stay for a while first before we decide where to move."

Meanwhile, Severus Snape was sitting in his bed, feeling quite tired.

As far as he was concerned, he was never going to apologize to the Potter brat. One, he was James Potter's son. To apologize to him would lead to coddling him, which Snape had no intention of doing. Second, Snape was a spy and a fearsome teacher. What would his students, not to mention Lucius Malfoy think if they were to see him coddling a child, especially Harry Potter? Of course, he did coddle one child, Draco Malfoy, the son of Lucius Malfoy, his godson in fact, but he did not coddle any other child. He just didn't have the knack of being affectionate to kids like other people, and he did not wish to develop it.

But deep down with him, there was a pang of guilt.

He couldn't deny that he had gone too far with his words towards Harry. Perhaps he could have just said nothing.

He had let himself be out of control when he had looked upon Harry and heard his words. But saying that his mother had died because of him had been too much.

He could not deny that.

But even with all this, he was still not willing to apologize. He was only half awake.
