DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER

The time was now 3:30 pm in San Francisco. Sirius, Amelia and the children had gotten through immigration and now had to catch their second flight on American Airlines to Hawaii which was scheduled to depart at 4:15 pm. They had just gotten past security and were now trying to find their gate which was A-23.

Unfortunately, with only 15 minutes before boarding, this meant that they would have to find their gate quickly and then get a to-go meal instead of sitting down and eating in a relaxed manner before boarding. Harry and Susan had been fussing over the past few minutes saying that they were hungry and tired.

Soon, they arrived at their gate through the crowd at the airport.

Just as Sirius and Amelia were about to find some seats, they noticed a commotion near the desk near the doors to the gangway.

People were arguing even as an airport security official, a bald heavily built man standing nearby shouted, "Ladies and gentlemen please keep calm! The captain has been taken seriously ill. We are trying to find an available pilot for the flight and rest assured, if worst comes to worst, you will be refunded."

Sirius moved towards the group near the desk and asked, "Hello, can someone explain what's going on?"

A brown haired man in a red shirt and jeans turned around and said, "Are you flying to Hawaii? This flight has just been delayed! Apparently the pilot fell sick! It'll take at least an hour before another pilot is found!"

Sirius walked up to the security official and asked, "Excuse me, how long will it be before another pilot is found and we start boarding?"

The official replied, "Well, it's 5 minutes to 3:45 so you can expect till at least 4:15 or later. As soon as it's time for boarding, we will let you know."

"Thank you," Sirius said before returning to where Amelia was standing with Harry and Susan in her arms, the bags on a couple of seats nearby.

Sirius explained, "Our flight's been delayed. Apparently, there's no pilot and they're trying to find another one. The earliest we can expect to be called is 4:15."

Amelia said, "Oh no. Well it least it gives us some time. Poor Harry and Susan are hungry and tired. As it is, we had to stand for a long time during immigration. And we couldn't get something to eat during check-in and security, and all the nuts and bananas are finished."

Just then, Amelia heard Harry whimpering, "Mmmm….."

Amelia said, "Oh my poor baby, hungry and tired? I know baby, I feel the same way."

Sirius said, "Amy, let me hold one of them. I can surely hold one."

Susan at that point, turned to Sirius and held her arms out saying, "Daddy."

Sirius took Susan and rocked her in his arms whispering, "Shhh, don't worry baby girl, Daddy's got you. We'll get something to eat now, don't worry. Just hold on my princess."

Amelia rocked Harry in her arms whispering, "Baby, baby, baby, Mummy's got you. We'll get you and Susan something to eat now. Just hold on my baby, Mummy's got you."

Sirius and Amelia found a fast-food-joint nearby and bought a couple of veggie burgers, fries, two hot cocoas. They found a booth near the counter and placing their bags there, they took the children to the bathroom, Harry going with Sirius and Susan with Amelia.

A few minutes later, Harry was sitting in Amelia's lap and Susan in Sirius' as both the adults were trying to feed their children.

Harry sleepily opened his mouth and took a bite of his burger.

After swallowing, he moaned and leaned back against his Mummy's bosom.

"Harry," Amelia said, "Come on, you need to eat, otherwise, you'll be hungry later on. I will feed you."

Susan meanwhile had taken a bite and was closing her eyes.

She suddenly felt her mouth smeared with something.

"Oh no, Susan," Sirius said as he wiped off some mayo from Susan's mouth, "You need to eat before you sleep off. Come on, you can do it. Daddy's here, take a bite from Daddy. Just a little more; you can do it."

Sometime later, they had all finished eating when suddenly, they heard an announcement, "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the pre-boarding announcement for flight American Airlines 714 to Hawaii which was delayed. We are now inviting those passengers with small children and any passengers who need special assistance to begin boarding at this time. Please have your identification and boarding pass ready. Thank You."

"Sirius," Amelia said, "That's us. Harry, Susan, just hold on a little while longer, and then you can sleep."

Harry and Susan groaned as Amelia and Sirius led them to the gate. Both Sirius and Amelia were handling all the bags, and Amelia was holding Harry's and Susan's hands.

A few minutes later, Harry's and Susan's eyes widened slightly upon seeing the plane they were boarding, a silver plane with three lines of blue, white, and red.

But upon stepping off the gangway and into the plane, they moaned exhaustedly.

Amelia and Sirius walked on through the corridor until they found their seats near the left wing.

Susan went and sat in the window seat, and after the bags had been placed in the overhead compartments, Amelia flopped down in her seat next to Susan.

Harry, who was standing in the row behind them, moved over to her and held out his arms.

Sirius asked, "Harry, do you want to sit with Mummy? Are you okay sitting in the aisle seat?"

Harry sleepily nodded.

Sirius lifted him and buckled him in the seat next to Amelia.

Harry leaned against his Mummy who smilingly wrapped her arms around him and Susan.

Sirius smilingly said, "Well, I guess I've got the row behind you for myself then. There doesn't seem to be that many people here."

"Don't be too sure Sirius," Amelia said, "Anything could happen."

But luckily, Sirius turned out to be right. There weren't many people on that flight, and it seemed like Sirius had a whole row for himself.

As for Harry and Susan, they were lying on Amelia's sides as she held them closely and caressed them.

Soon, the plane took off, but neither of the children stared out of the window. Susan turned around once to see the ground getting farther and farther away just as the plane lifted off. A second later, she pressed her head into her Mummy's side.

After take-off, Amelia pulled the armrests up and allowed Harry and Susan to put their heads in her lap.

Sometime later, Amelia woke up to find Harry fidgeting in his seat. She asked, "Harry, do you have to go to the bathroom?"

Harry whispered, "Yes."

Amelia quickly unbuckled Harry and Sirius who just happened to be awake at that time turned to Amelia and asked, "Amy what's happening?"

Amelia replied, "Harry needs to use the bathroom."

Sirius quickly got up and lifting up his son, he moved towards the nearest bathroom as quickly as he could.

A few minutes later, Harry was finished and was now sitting next to Sirius.

Sirius asked, "Harry, do you want me to read you a story?"

Harry nodded and said, "Okay."

Sirius pulled out a book to read to Harry.

Later on, after a long time, during which, Harry had fidgeted on and off, landing time finally came and Harry stared out of the window as the plane flew over the ocean near an island, the island of Hawaii.

Soon, the plane landed and once again, there was an abrupt sensation as the plane touched down on the runway. Harry could see lights on the side and all around.

The sky was already darkening. It was 8:15 pm in Hawaii.

A few minutes later, the plane stopped and Sirius and Amelia got the bags out of the overhead compartments and made sure they had not forgotten anything before exiting the aircraft.

Soon, they were in a large hallway near a large conveyer belt, waiting for their luggage.

Harry saw a big blue suitcase which he knew belonged to them and cried out, "The suitcase is back!"

Sirius laughed and proceeded to pull it off the belt, carefully so as to avoid hitting anyone.

Sometime later, Harry and Susan were in their car seats in a rental car and Amelia was driving.

But this time, Harry noticed that Amelia was sitting and driving on the left side, and the car was moving on the right side of the road.

Susan who had noticed this as well, said, "Mummy, Daddy, we're on the wrong side."

Amelia said, "No sweetie, this is the way people drive in America."

"Oh," Harry said as he heard that.

Sirius and Amelia just smiled.

Soon, they reached their hotel, a nice beach resort, and as an assistant placed their luggage on a trolley at the lobby after they entered, Sirius and Amelia picked up Harry and Susan.

The lobby was quite small, colorful, and had a fountain in the middle.

Harry and Susan were feeling very tired and barely glanced at the fountain before burying their faces into their parents' necks.

Even as Amelia went to check in, Sirius took off Harry's glasses and placed them in a case which was stored in his backpack.

He then moved over to Amelia and stood by her during the process.

A minute later, Amelia received a room key and the family of four moved towards the elevator, holding their children as their luggage was pushed on a trolley by an assistant.

They emerged on the fifth floor, the top floor, and proceeded down the corridor till they came to end. The assistant took Amelia's key and inserted it into a slot. There was a flash of green light and the door was unlocked.

The room that they entered was a suite. There was a large sitting room with a fridge, kitchen and television, and to the right side, there was a door which led to a bedroom beyond which, there was another bedroom with an attached bathroom. There was a second bathroom, but it was on the left side of the sitting room and did not have any bathing facilities.

In all the rooms, there were large windows that extended from one side to the other.

A few minutes later, the luggage was all in and the assistant had left.

Sirius asked, "Amy, it's almost 10. Shall we get something to eat, or shall we just go to sleep?"

Amelia replied, "I think we'll just sleep. Harry and Susan are desperate to go to sleep."

Sirius and Amelia proceeded to change the kids into their pajamas before carrying them into the first bedroom.

Amelia said, "Harry and Susan can sleep here together, and we can sleep in the next bedroom."

Sirius agreed and they tucked the kids in.

After a series of goodnight hugs and kisses, the parents turned off the lights and moved into the second bedroom.
