DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER.

"Harry, Susan," Amelia called out as the children ran from the car to the porch of their home after their second day at school, "Wait for me."

Even as they stood near the front door and smiled naughtily, Amelia walked up to them after locking the car and unlocked the door. As soon as she opened it, the kids rushed inside and headed straight upstairs.

A little later, at 10 minutes to 5 pm, Amelia was sitting on the sofa perpendicular to the fireplace in the living room, holding Harry and Susan on her legs.

Kissing their foreheads, she whispered, "I think it's time for me have my favorite thing to eat. What could it be? Oh yes, but first…"

Suddenly, she began to tickle them, causing them to squeal, squirm and laugh.

Laughing evilly, she said, "I'm going to eat you! And I love my babies, well tickled!"

Harry and Susan somehow freed themselves and jumped off her lap.

Susan cried out, "Are you going to cook me and Harry Mummy?"

Amelia patted her thighs and said, "I'll cook you in my lap. And I will cook you by tickling you. Come for your Mummy's special tickle attack you little ones!"

With that, she raised her hands and pointing her fingers forwards, she began to chase Harry and Susan even as they ran around, trying to escape.

Harry and Susan ran into the latter's bedroom and hid under the covers.

Soon, they heard someone coming into the bedroom.

And then, they heard their Mummy whisper, "Mmmm… Fee fi fo fum, I smell two little baby bunnies in here, cute, so cute, just too cute, and they have escaped from me."

Even as Susan pressed a finger to Harry's lips, Amelia whispered evilly with a glare on her face, "I will find you, and then, I shall place you in my lap, and eat you up! Where are you? I know you are hiding here, somewhere."

Harry and Susan were holding on to each other tightly and staring into the blanket when suddenly, the blanket was lifted and their Mummy appeared and said evilly, "Boo!"

"AIEEEEE," Harry and Susan screamed even as Amelia glared at Harry and Susan and danced about, her fingers pointing towards them.

She sat on the bed and began to tickle her children, pinning them to the bed under her hands as she did so.

"Ha ha ha, you can't stop me," Amelia sang out as she tickled them.

And then, she leaned forward and began to 'eat' them, alternating between Harry and Susan as they squealed and laughed.

Finally, she stopped and placing them on her lap, she wrapped her arms around them and rocked them from side to side. She then lovingly sniffed their cheeks and kissed them.

Just then, she heard some sound coming from downstairs and carried the children to the living room to find Sirius standing there with a smug smile on his face.

"Hello little ones," Sirius called out, "I'm home."

"Daddy," both the kids cried out as Sirius took them from Amelia and hugged them.

Amelia smiled at them and then spoke, "Sirius, are you ready?"

"Yeah," Sirius replied, "Let's head to the car now."

Harry asked, "Where are we going?"

Susan spoke up, "We're going to my Ma's grave and Da's grave."

Amelia added, "And all the other graves of your uncles and aunties."

Susan said, "Harry's Mama and Dada are gone. Do they have graves too?"

Sirius replied, "Yes Susan."

Harry asked, "Can we go see them?"

Amelia replied, "Yes. In fact, after visiting Susan's Ma and Da, we're planning to take you to the place where your Mama's and Dada's grave is, in Godric's Hollow."

"Okay," Harry said.

Later on, Sirius, Amelia and the children were all in silence as they drove down a country road. Amelia was driving this time and Sirius would be driving when it was time to go to Godric's Hollow.

They were nearing the place where Susan's parents had been buried.

And then, they all saw something.

It was the remains of what had once been a large house, a manor in fact, and not just any manor, but the manor of the Bones family where Amelia had lived before Voldemort and his followers had slain Amelia's family and had destroyed the house as well.

There were mostly stones and creepers gathered about, where there had once stood the large house, a house that Sirius had visited many a time, the place where Sirius had seen Susan for the first time shortly after she had been born, where he had often played with her as a tiny baby and cooed all over her.

And then, a flashback came to Sirius' mind.

Sirius and Amelia had returned from an Order meeting to find the house under attack, the dark mark in the sky. They had rushed into the house to find themselves in a bloodbath. Death Eaters were everywhere and family members were being slain. Already, Amelia's father had fallen.

Sirius was fighting on the second floor of the building, in a corridor where Susan's room was located, trying to help Lewis and Alexandria Bones who were fighting Fenrir Greyback and a few other Death Eaters.

Amelia was fighting nearby, and was having a hard time with Bellatrix Lestrange who was cackling evilly and taunting her saying, "The Dark Lord's killed your Daddy; the Dark Lord's killed your Mummy."

Just then, they heard someone calling out, "The Dark Lord's on this floor!"

And sure enough, they saw the Dark Lord Voldemort, some distance away, advancing towards them.

Just then, a brown haired woman, Alexandria came running out of Susan's room with baby Susan in her arms and cried out, "LEWIS, THEY'RE HERE!"

Just then, she was grabbed by none other than Fenrir Greyback.

Sirius and Lewis turned to see that sight and opened their mouths in horror.

Greyback snarled, "Mmmm…. Your baby girl will make a good meal for me. After I've slain you, I'll make mincemeat out of your precious baby girl. I'll…"

But before he could say another word, Lewis lunged forward with a roar and somehow wrested his wife and child from the demonic werewolf's grip. He then punched Greyback on the chest, causing him to reel back, but it was only for a moment, after which the werewolf slashed Lewis' face in a fit of rage, causing him to fall down.

Just as he made a swipe at Alexandria, Sirius suddenly yelled, "Everbero!"

The spell struck Greyback and caused him to be blasted backwards.

Sirius turned to Alexandria, who was frozen with horror, and Lewis who had gotten up, sporting claw marks on the right side of his face.

Alexandria turned around and screamed, "HE'S HERE…"

But before she could utter another word, a cruel, high-pitched voice cried out, "AVADA KEDAVRA!"

And the next thing Sirius and Lewis beheld, was Alexandria, with a terrified expression on her face, falling forwards into Lewis' arms and then onto the floor, but not before Lewis managed to take Susan from her arms.

Voldemort was looking straight at them.

Amelia, who had managed to blast Bellatrix back, turned and moved towards Sirius and Lewis.

Even as he began to stride towards them, Lewis suddenly turned to Sirius and thrust Susan into his arms crying out, "TAKE SUSAN AND RUN! I'LL HOLD HIM OFF!"

Amelia cried out, "Lewis no, you'll…"

Lewis cried out, "Take care of my daughter Amelia. Sirius, take care of them both! Run! Run now!"

Barely had Lewis said this when he was suddenly struck by a killing curse, from none other than Voldemort.

That night had been a horrible one. Sirius and Amelia, holding Susan, had barely escaped from Voldemort. Lily and Amelia had held each other and wept that night in the Potters' cottage in Godric's Hollow. Sirius himself had cried and James had been the one to comfort him, saying that the deaths of Lewis and Alexandria were not his fault. In fact, Sirius remembered having helped Amelia to find the house in Park Lane for her to raise Susan, for both him and her to raise Susan.

If only James and Lily had not died, they could have all had wonderful happy gatherings. They could have perhaps all lived together and given their children a wonderful childhood.

Of course, they were having a wonderful childhood now, but without James and Lily, not to mention the abuse that the Dursleys had subjected Harry to for two and a half years.

He was interrupted from his train of thought by the sound of the engine turning off and Amelia calling out, "Paddy, we're here. Come on, wake up."

"Oh, oh right," Sirius spoke, realizing that they had already reached and were now in a parking lot by the graveyard.

A few minutes later, Harry, Susan and their Mummy and Daddy were standing in front of two graves made right next to each other.

Harry and Susan stared at the inscriptions on the tombstones.

Lewis Alexander Bones

Born: 17th July 1959

Died: 4th September 1981

Alexandria Marigold Bones

Born: 28th December 1958

Died: 4th September 1981

Susan went up to the graves and kneeling down, she said, "Hello Ma and Da. How are you? I got a new brother and his name is Harry. He is four and I will be five. Auntie is Mummy now and Uncle Sirius is Daddy, and you are my Ma and Da. I love you Ma and Da, even if you are dead."

Harry knelt down in the same way as Susan and said, "Hello Uncle Lewis and Auntie Alexandria. My name is Harry. Mummy told me you were friends with my Mama and Dada. My Mama and Dada are gone because Voldemort made them go away. I had to live with Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia, who didn't like me and were mean to me, but then Mummy came and took me to live with her and sissy Susan, and then Uncle Sirius came and became our Daddy. Now I am four years old. I love my sissy Susie and my Mummy and Daddy and Mama and Dada and you too."

Amelia moved towards her children, and kneeling down, she hugged them whispering, "Ma and Da would be so proud of you two. You are both our sweet children, always bright, lovely, not mean or violent."

Sirius moved towards the graves and knelt down. He couldn't help feeling slightly emotional as he looked upon them.

"Lewis, Alexandria," Sirius whispered painfully, "I'm so sorry I couldn't save you. I couldn't save you or James and Lily. And I rushed to get my revenge after Pettigrew instead of being there for Harry and Susan like I should have been from the very beginning. I may not have been appointed as her godfather, but I can definitely say that I love Susan with all my heart as much as I love Harry. I'll take care of Susan and Harry. I know if things had been the other way round, you two would have taken good care of Harry. Please, be at peace now. Please, forgive me for not being there for our children earlier. Be at peace now. I will take care of them."

Even as he finished, a few tears rolled down his cheeks. Amelia rested a hand on Sirius' back and whispered, "Lewis, Alexandria, I miss you so much. I wish you and Alexandria could be here. I hope you are okay with the fact that Susan calls me and Sirius Mummy and Daddy now. I just couldn't say no to her, but I won't let her forget you. Both she and Harry are my children and I will always love them equally, so will Sirius. I took Harry away from his cruel Muggle relatives and he is now our son. Susan is now our daughter. Sirius and I got married this year. He was innocent after all. Peter Pettigrew was the real traitor and is in prison. It turned out he leaked secrets about our ancestral home's defenses to Lord Voldemort. I'm sorry I couldn't save you, but I will always cherish your memories in my heart and give Susan and Harry all my love."

With that, she went silent.

The family sat there for quite a while, holding each other in solemn silence.

A few tears flowed down Susan's cheeks, and Harry hugged her and wiped them like his Mummy would wipe his tears.

Afterwards, Amelia and Sirius guided the children around to see the graves of all the other Bones family members who had perished in the attack, which included several cousins, aunts and uncles, and of course, Amelia's parents. Sirius remembered how Amelia's father had been good to him and had invited him over to Bones Manor several times before and had even once told him that if there was anyone outside the family that he could completely trust to take care of his grandchildren, especially Susan, it was him.

And to think he had been felled by Voldemort himself…

It was painful, but the adults knew that they had to be strong, for their children.

After spending about an hour, the family returned to the car, and this time, Sirius took the wheel. "Off to Godric's Hollow," he cried out, unaware that Harry and Susan were asleep in their car seats.

Amelia whispered, "Sirius, it'll take a long time to drive there and back. Shall we just drive home and floo over from there?"

Sirius replied, "That might be better."

So, the family drove back home, stopping on the way to grab some snacks for the children, who were feeling hungry. By the time they reached, it was nearly 7 pm.

"I thought we are going to see my Mama's and Dada's graves," Harry cried out even as Amelia opened the front door.

"Yes we are," Amelia explained, "But the place is very far away, so we will be using the floo."

"Oh, okay," Harry replied innocently.

Amelia and Sirius, holding Harry and Susan respectively, then stepped in to the house and made sure the door was locked before using the floo to get to an inn in Godric's Hollow. Luckily, there were not too many people, so nothing happened.

Soon, the family was standing in front of a cottage, one that was a picture of utter destruction, devastation, one which had once been a place of joy and laughter, joy which had been ruined by a traitor who cared more about power than about an innocent baby, and Lord Voldemort.

Harry asked, "Did we live there?"

Amelia replied, "You, Mama and Dada lived there. You brought them so much joy, when they were still around. They loved you like anything."

They stood there for a little while and then went to the graveyard near a small church.

The graveyard where Harry's parents were buried echoed with a nightly silence save for the sounds of footsteps as the family walked through.

Soon, they reached a grave.

It was made of marble, and shone in the darkness.

There, was written:

IN LOVING MEMORY

OF

JAMES POTTER * LILY POTTER

BORN BORN

27 MARCH 1960 30 JANUARY 1960

DIED DIED

31 OCTOBER 1981 31 OCTOBER 1981

THE LAST ENEMY THAT SHALL BE DESTROYED IS DEATH

Sirius and Amelia looked sadly upon the grave that entombed the corpses of their friends, which no doubt would have rotted away by now.

Sirius who was now carrying Harry, placed him down and said, "We're here Harry. Your Mama and Dada were laid to rest here. Why don't you go say something to them?"

Amelia placed Susan down even as Harry moved closer to the tombstone.

He neared the grave and knelt down.

Even as Susan moved towards Harry, the latter said in a voice that Sirius and Amelia would always remember, a pained baby voice, the voice of a child who had been stripped of his parents, "Mama, Dada, why did you have to die? Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon hit me and said that you didn't love me and that you hated me, but Mummy said they lied. Mummy came and took me away from them, and now I live with Mummy and Daddy and sissy Susan, but I miss you Mama and Dada. Why did you leave me and go away? Why did the bad man Voldemort make you go away? He was bad and didn't like you, and he didn't like me, and he killed you."

Sirius and Amelia held each other even as Susan stood right behind Harry.

There was silence for a few moments.

And then, Harry said something that broke Amelia's heart, "Why didn't the bad man kill me?"

"Harry," Amelia cried out and she rushed towards him, knelt down and took him in her arms even as he burst into tears.

Sirius moved forward and held Susan who herself was sad, seeing Harry cry.

Harry's statement had broken his heart too.

Amelia and Sirius would never want either of their children to die like that.

Harry looked on even as Amelia wiped his tears.

Amelia herself didn't know what to say.

And then, everyone heard a deep voice speak, "Because your Mama saved you."

They all turned right, in the direction of the voice, and were surprised at what they saw.

Harry, who had turned to his right and was looking up, felt surprised at the sight of the man before him before saying, "Uncle Sev?"

Snape, who was standing there, having just moved to that position now, knelt down and pulled Harry into his lap.

He said, "Your Mama was the sweetest, most kind person I ever knew in my life. She loved you so much and would not let that evil man harm you. She was killed, but her love was so strong that it protected you from him and he did not harm you. She saved you, your Mama saved you. Always remember that your Mama saved you. Be that sweet person that your Mama was. Be that sweet boy that you are. You are like your Mama, so sweet, caring, sharing… Don't lose that. Always be like her."

And then, Harry and Snape hugged each other. Snape looked at Harry silently saying, "You will know more when you are older."

He then looked upon the grave and whispered, "Lily, please forgive me for not being the friend that I should have been. The only way I can make up, is by protecting your son. Please forgive me for having been mean to him the first time I saw him. I adore him now and I will do everything I can to protect him."

He felt a light breeze on him and felt his heart warm up, as if Lily were right in front of him saying, "I forgive you, Severus."

Amelia and Sirius held each other as they looked upon the heartwarming scene.

Susan walked over to Harry and hugged him, and Snape held them both in his arms, all the while looking upon the grave.
