DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER.

Susan and Harry, both being sick, had had to rest for about a week before fully recovering, but afterwards, had become frisky and cheerful once more.

And now, the day being October 5th, it was Susan's birthday.

Of course, the day being Friday, she and Harry would have to go to school, but a party had been planned for the evening after school was over for the day.

Currently, it was 7:30 AM and Susan, who had just woken up and dashed out of the bedroom excitedly to tell her parents it was her birthday, bumped into Harry who was running towards her, having just exited his bedroom.

"Ouch," Susan exclaimed as she fell on her bottom and quickly got up.

"Sorry Susie," Harry cried out even as he wrapped his arms around her, "Happy Birthday Sissy!"

Susan hugged Harry crying out, "Thank You Brother!"

They then slowly tiptoed to their parents' bedroom, opened the door, and saw a very awake and smiling Mummy standing right there in front of them.

"Good morning my little babies," Amelia cooed.

She instantly bent down and hugged Susan tightly, kissing her face while cooing, "Happy Birthday my sweet little baby girl Susie, my sweet little honey bee!"

Susan squealed excitedly as her Mummy picked her up and spun her around.

Amelia then placed Susan down, kissed her and picked Harry up cooing, "You little one, my sweet little baby bunny, come to Mummy!"

With that, she spun him around as well and kissed him before putting him down.

Harry said, "Mummy, we have school!"

Amelia looked at him and Susan and replied, "Actually, I got a call last night from your teacher. Today's a holiday. So, there's no school today."

"No school?" Harry stammered in shock, unable to believe that there was no school on a weekday.

He had grown fond of his school.

Amelia hugged him and explained, "Don't worry baby. That means you get to stay home and play. And you've done your homework for the day. And that also makes it easier to just hold you in my arms and eat you!"

With that, she began pretending to eat him, causing him to squeal and squirm.

Susan squealed and ran off to hide under her Mummy's bed.

A minute later, Amelia stopped 'eating Harry' and kissed him tenderly before setting him down. She then moved towards the bed and called out, "Susie, I know you're under the bed. Come out now."

"NO," Susan cried out from underneath, "You'll eat me up!"

Amelia said a little sternly, "Susan, you need to come out now. Be very careful. You could hit your head against the bed and get hurt. I don't want you to hit your head. Come out now."

Susan slowly crawled out from under the bed on the other side and stood there.

Amelia came over to her and wrapped her in her arms before tenderly kissing her. Susan kissed her back.

Just then, they heard a bark.

Susan looked to her right to see a big black dog bounding towards her.

The dog approached her and began to wag its tail.

"Daddy," Susan cried out, "You're a doggie on my birthday!"

Harry came and wrapped his arms around the dog's neck.

The dog gently nuzzled Harry and Susan before transforming into a man and picking up his children in his arms.

"Happy Birthday Susie, my sweet little girl! And good morning to you dear Prongslet," Sirius cried out excitedly.

"Thank You," Susan cried out before they simultaneously said, "Good morning Daddy!"

A little while later, the children, having been cleaned up, were sitting next to each other at the table, eating their fruit.

Just as they finished their fruit bowls, Amelia came in with two plates of butter laden chocolate-chip and blueberry pancakes and set them on the table for the children.

She then cut the pancakes into pieces and proceeded to feed Susan a bite.

Susan ate her piece of pancake, swallowed and then beamed at her Mummy.

Amelia cooed, "How's your pancake love?"

Susan replied, "Yummy!"

Amelia kissed Susan's cheek and then proceeded to feed Harry a bite as well.

A few minutes later, Sirius and Amelia were also eating at the table and Harry cried out, "Does Susan get a party?"

Amelia replied, "Of course Bunny."

Harry asked, "Will Aunty Linda come?"

Amelia replied, "Yes she will, and Uncle Malcolm too."

Susan looked excited at the mention of 'Uncle Malcolm', but Harry had a confused expression on his face.

Amelia explained, "Aunty Linda has a brother, and his name is Malcolm. You can just call him Uncle Malcolm. He really wants to meet you. He was the one that sent those toy planes for your birthday."

"He did?" Harry said, "The note said from Uncle Malcolm."

"Yes," Sirius replied, "It was him, and he's coming today in an hour."

After finishing breakfast, Harry and Susan went to the play room, took some toys and books and headed down to the living room.

Amelia and Sirius were watching the children working on their railway tracks while discussing what to do about the party.

Sirius said, "I think we should have it outside. It's still October."

Amelia disagreed, "We should have it inside. It's already starting to get cold and it's very likely for it to rain today. We cannot have the children getting sick again."

Sirius nodded gravely, remembering how Harry and Susan had gone on groaning and moaning when they were sick.

He then suggested, "But maybe, if it doesn't rain, we could still let the children play outside for a while, but just have everyone eat inside."

Amelia replied, "I suppose you're right."

Just then, the doorbell rang.

Amelia went to open the door and as soon as she did so, she beheld a small brown haired girl beaming happily and looking up at her.

"Oh," Amelia exclaimed happily, "It's you Hermione! Hello sweetie."

"GOOD MORNING AUNTY! WHERE'S SUSIE AND HARRY?!" Hermione excitedly cried out.

Just then, Susan burst out from behind Amelia's legs and cried out, "Hermione!"

Hermione hugged Susan and cried out, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSIE!"

Susan squealed and hugged Hermione back even as Harry, who had heard what was going on, bounded towards them to hug Hermione.

Amelia smiled at the scene before turning to face Hermione's mother who was just behind her.

"Hello Emma," she said, "I'm so glad you could make it."

Emma replied, "I'm so glad we could come over. I'm only a little worried about the other kids."

Amelia assured, "Don't worry about it. All the other kids are magical."

Emma said, "I know. I just can't help feeling a little concerned."

Amelia replied, "I understand. Not every magical family is open to having friendships with Muggles and Muggleborns."

Emma said, "At least there won't be any of those Malfoys you mentioned the other day."

Amelia replied, "Oh I can assure you, there won't be."

A few minutes later, Harry, Susan and Hermione were all sitting in the playroom and Hermione was reading out a book to Harry when suddenly, they heard a shout, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSIE SQUIRREL!"

They looked up and saw Ron running into the playroom.

Ron ran and hugged Susan before hugging Harry and Susan.

Susan said, "My name is not Susie Squirrel, my name is Susan Bones Black."

Hermione said, pointing to a picture of a squirrel in the book she was holding, "Susie Squirrel is the name of a squirrel, and she has to hide her nuts from the bad crow charlie."

Just then, Fred, George and Percy came in and the twins cried out, "Happy Birthday Susan."

They went and high-fived Harry, Hermione and Susan before Percy politely wished, "Happy Birthday Susan" and shook Susan's hand.

Next, Ginny came in and gave Susan a tight hug, and then soon, Neville and Hannah arrived and joined in.

At one point, Susan went up to Aunt Andromeda who had arrived a few minutes before and was watching the children. Andromeda, who was sitting on a bean bag patted her lap and stretched her arms out. Susan climbed into Andromeda's lap and said, "Aunty, can we go outside and play?"

Andromeda replied, "Sweetheart, it's a bit cold today. I don't really know if Mummy will like the idea very much."

Harry came up to her and said, "Please!"

Andromeda smiled at Harry, kissed his head and said, "If Mummy's fine, then I guess it should be okay."

Harry and Susan ran out of the playroom and straight towards the kitchen where they saw Amelia and Molly examining something in a pot on the stove.

Amelia turned to the children and asked, "What's happening?"

Harry and Susan asked, "Can we go and play outside? Please?"

Amelia looked at them and said, "Just give me a few minutes. If it's not too cold, I'll get you all wrapped up and then you can go."

"Yeay!" Harry and Susan cried out.

"But," Amelia added firmly, "If you do go outside, you are not going out without jackets and caps."

"Okay," Harry replied.

A few minutes later, Amelia, having declared the weather to be 'okay' was leading Harry, Susan and the other children into the backyard.

Even as the children stepped into the backyard, they screamed in excitement and ran towards the treehouse.

Harry and Hermione climbed up the stairs and ran towards the bridge. They stood in the middle of the bridge. Suddenly, Harry pointed his finger towards Fred and George who were chasing Ron and Neville and said, "Uh oh, we have to help Ron and Neville.

Ron and Neville hurriedly climbed up the ladder and ran towards the ship, the latter crying out, "RUN, RUN, FRED AND GEORGE ARE PIRATES!"

"Arr," Fred and George chorused as they climbed up the ladder in hot pursuit.

Harry and Hermione screamed and ran towards the ship where Percy, Ginny and Hannah were standing at the steering wheel.

Hermione cried out, "Hannah, Ginny, pirates are coming!"

Harry went to the side of the ship and grabbed a toy sword. The others followed suit.

Just then, Fred and George, who were holding toy swords, emerged from a trap doorway and said, "Well hello."

"Too late to escape."

Suddenly, Susan, brandishing a toy sword and wearing a pirate hat and a patch over her left eye emerged from the doorway and cried out, "Attack!"

"Aye aye captain," Fred and George simultaneously answered in response.

Fred, George and Susan charged towards the others.

Susan ran straight towards Harry and they began to fight.

"I'm going to get you Harry!" Susan cried out as she tackled him to the ground.

Harry managed to escape and he ran towards one of the slides.

Ron and Hannah ran towards both.

Neville, who was fighting Fred and George, took one look at Susan and screaming, he ran off towards a slide and went down.

The fight continued for a while, and at one point, Fred and George caught Neville and were going to make him 'walk the plank', which for them was, dragging him to the pool to throw him inside the water. Luckily, Molly and Amelia put a stop to it at once. Needless to say, the twins got a timeout.

Meanwhile, Harry was still being chased by Susan when he suddenly saw two figures emerging from the backdoor.

One, he recognized as Auntie Linda, dressed in a navy blue jumper and a scarf, smiling as she stood there, talking to the group of adults nearby.

The other one, he did not know.

It was a man, clean shaven, quite heavily built, with short black hair, quite neatly combed, and he was wearing a dark blue sweater, a blue scarf and jeans.

He had a smile on his face.

Harry looked at the man in curiosity, and then suddenly noticed his sister sprinting towards the man and Auntie Linda.

Susan, having just seen the two figures, rushed over to them and hugged Auntie Linda crying, "Hello Auntie and Uncle!"

Melinda picked up little Susan and spun her around in a circle crying out, "Ahh, Happy Birthday my little Susie! Happy Birthday, I just can't believe how big you keep growing! I just want to eat those cheeks of yours!"

With that, she pretended to eat her cheeks making chomping noises as she did so, causing Susan to laugh. She then kissed her cheeks and set her down before turning to hug Harry who had run up to her.

"Harry my little baby," Melinda cooed as she picked him up and spun him in a circle, "You're so cute that I want to eat your tummy! Can I eat you for lunch?"

"No Auntie," Harry cried out, "Don't eat me!"

Auntie Linda laughed and nibbled his cheeks gently before kissing them tenderly and setting him down.

Harry then turned to look at the other man who was currently holding Susan.

Susan seemed to be happy in this man's arms.

Even as the man started to put Susan down, Auntie Linda said, "Harry, this is my brother, Uncle Malcolm. He's been wanting to meet you."

Malcolm looked at Harry with a smile and said, "Hello there, you must be little Harry."

"Hello Uncle Malcolm," Harry said, "Mummy said you were coming today."

Malcolm smilingly replied, "Oh, did she? Well yes, here I am. Melinda's told me all about you."

Harry said, "Thank you for the toy planes."

"Oh come on," Malcolm said laughingly, "You don't have to thank me. I'm just spoiling you, you know."

Melinda said, "And you know what, Malcolm's a pilot."

"A pilot?" Harry asked.

"A pilot is someone who flies a plane," Susan suddenly spoke up.

Harry then looked at Uncle Malcolm with curious green eyes and said, "Are you a Muggle or a wizard?"

"Harry," Amelia who was standing nearby suddenly cried out, but Auntie Linda and Uncle Malcolm just laughed.

Malcolm knelt down and replied, "Well yes, I am a Muggle. I know my sister's a witch, but still, just because I'm not a wizard doesn't mean I'm not happy."

Harry said, "You're nice, but Aunt Petunia is a Muggle and she was mean to me."

Malcolm frowned at that. He had heard about the Dursleys from Melinda, and he just couldn't believe that Petunia had been capable of doing that.

Sure, he was the Muggle sibling of a witch, and he was older than Melinda, just like how Petunia was a Muggle and Lily's older sister, but that did not mean that he had to be jealous and feel lesser, did it?

And plus, yes, he had been sad about not being a wizard, and on a few occasions, he had openly cried over it, but he had always tried to be happy for Melinda.

And plus, their parents had always loved them both.

And even if that had not been the case, he never would have treated a child cruelly, like Petunia had.

He was interrupted from his train of thought by a baby cry of "Run away, here comes a shark!"

And the next thing he saw was Harry, Susan and Neville running away from Auntie Linda who was chasing them.

"Ha ha ha," Melinda laughed evilly saying, "I'm a shark and I'm going to get you all at sea!"

The twins, who had gotten back to playing pirates, and the non-pirates minus Percy all ran up the stairs to the treehouse.

Melinda started circling the trees, smiling evilly as she did so.

Harry, Neville, Ron and the twins were standing near one slide, observing Auntie Linda over the railing.

Suddenly, Fred said, "Hey George, walk the slide."

George said, "Yeah, someone has to walk the slide and not the plank."

"Because there is no plank."

"But there's a slide and a shark waiting below."

Neville who was right before the slide clutched onto the railing in terror.

The next moment, his fingers were being pried off and he was being pushed down the slide. He could only scream helplessly as the Weasley twins waved in glee.

His feet met the ground as he came to the bottom and he started scrambling for the ladder.

Even as he neared the ladder, he heard evil laughter behind him and screamed.

He managed to reach the ladder and started climbing up, but just as he was one or two rungs up, he looked down and saw Auntie Linda right next to him.

He screamed and nearly lost his grip and fell, but Auntie Linda caught him just on time.

"Oh my goodness," Auntie Linda cried out, "Neville sweetheart, are you okay?"

Neville cried out, "Please don't eat me up!"
Auntie Linda spoke comfortingly, "I won't eat you baby, you're a good boy. I just want to make sure you're okay. I'm sorry I scared you. Are you okay? Hurting anywhere?"

Neville said, "No."

Auntie Linda asked, "Sure?"

"No." Neville replied.

Auntie Linda kissed Neville's cheeks and put him down on the ground slowly saying, "Just be careful when you climb up. Always hold on tightly while you climb, okay?"

"Okay," Neville replied.

Auntie Linda smiled as Neville climbed up to join his friends.

Meanwhile, Harry was looking at the twins, with a very cross expression.

"That was mean!" He cried out.

Susan joined in, "That was mean, you have to say sorry!"

Fred said, "But the shark was going round."

George added, "And someone needed to walk the plank."

Ron angrily stated, "You pushed Neville! Mummy says it's bad to do that!"

Hermione spoke up, "You really should say sorry to Neville."

Fred and George raised their hands up and started, "If the shark eats Neville, we're sorry."

"Otherwise, no sorry."

"Fred, George!" a shout rang out and the twins nearly jumped out of their skins and turned to see Percy glaring at them.

"If you don't say sorry," Percy warned, "I'm telling Mum!"

"Okay," the twins responded, and just as Neville turned up, they said, "Sorry Neville."

Neville just looked at the twins a little warily for a few moments, but then smiled and said, "It's okay."

Soon afterwards, the children were all called to sit for birthday lunch.

Harry and Ron sat on Susan's left and right sides, and Hermione sat next to Harry while Ginny sat next to Ron, with Neville on her other side.

Dumbledore and Minerva, of course, were seated at the table, as was Snape.

"Happy Birthday little Susan," Dumbledore happily spoke as he got up to give Susan a hug.

Susan hugged Dumbledore back even as Harry and Ron hugged him.

Next, Minerva came over and kissed Harry's and Susan's cheeks saying, "Happy Birthday little Susan, hello darling Harry, are you being a good boy for your sister?"

Harry and Susan hugged Minerva and kissed her cheeks even as she hugged them.

Next came Snape who simply and politely said, "Happy Birthday Susan, and good day to you Harry."

Susan smiled at Snape and hugged him, and Harry shook his hand.

Just as they were about to sit, they saw someone who had promised to be there.

It was Uncle Remus, standing near the cake.

Harry and Susan ran towards Uncle Remus and hugged him crying out, "UNCLE MOONY!"

Uncle Moony hugged his cubs saying, "My goodness, you cubs are growing so fast! Happy Birthday dear Susan, and Happy day to you Harry."

Then, it was time for the birthday lunch, and Amelia and Molly had certainly cooked a lot. Susan's favorite dishes were all there, of course, some of them being Harry's as well. The children's mouths were watering at the sight of casserole and watermelon slices, plus puddings.

They all dug into the food, and enjoyed it immensely.

Soon, it was time for the birthday cake, and everyone sang, "Happy Birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Susan, Happy Birthday to you!"

Everyone cheered as Susan blew out her five shaped candle and was fed pieces of cake by her Mummy, Daddy, and brother Harry (who nearly dropped his but luckily did not).

After lunch everyone had finished eating, the kids were all brought inside the house as it was starting to get cold, and Amelia decided to read a few stories.

Minerva, Snape and Remus left, as did Andromeda, but not without saying tender goodbyes to Harry and Susan.

Dumbledore was outside, talking to Sirius.

"Sirius," Dumbledore said, "I was thinking, now that Susan is five, and Harry will turn five next year, they really should start getting a little training in self-defense. I know you may not like it, but in case Voldemort rises again soon or someone tries to attack the children once they come to Hogwarts, they will be prepared to some extent at least."

"I agree with you Dumbledore," Sirius said, "In fact, Amelia was telling me the other day that we should get the kids to go to karate classes at least once a week."

"That sounds good," Dumbledore replied, "I like that."

He left soon afterwards, after hugging Harry and Susan goodbye and giving them his custom present of lemon drops and saying, "Don't eat them all at once, otherwise, your Mummy will be very angry with me."

Later on, some of the adults left, as a sleepover had been planned (mostly because Harry had asked if there would be one two days ago). And while Sirius was trying to teach the twins a little football, Harry and Susan were standing and talking to Uncle Malcolm who was explaining what a seaplane was.

"So this is why they call it a sea plane," Malcolm was saying.

"Are there any planes that can land on both water and land?" Susan asked.

Malcolm said, "Of course there are. They are called amphibian planes."

"Can we go on one?" Harry asked.

Malcolm laughed and said, "Of course I'll take you all up in one, in fact, I'd love to take you all up with me, someday."

Amelia, who was standing with them, smiled and said, "Someday."
