Visit
Conrad Explorer had just been docked into Dock 30 by Theodore and Hank. "There you go, Conrad," said Theodore. "Thank you," said Conrad Explorer.
Theodore and Hank decided to stay with Conrad Explorer for some time before setting off to do more work. Conrad was left alone for the moment as the cranes began to unload his cargo.
One also took away the fallen container that Shelburne had picked up. After the cranes finished their jobs, Conrad Explorer took a short nap. Meanwhile, Theodore and Hank had finished moving Brunswick barge to a loading dock.
"Hey, Theodore," said Hank, "Aren't we supposed to be out working in the open ocean? We are now Ocean tugs." "Yes," answer Theodore, "But remember, we've been only ocean tugs for less than a week now. Also, we should stay here in case Conrad needs us. After all, we were the ones who brought him in."
"I see," agreed Hank. Just then, Emily floated by, setting off to do one of her jobs. "Hey, Emily," said Theodore. "Hi," said Emily, "Going out to work?" "Yes," answered Emily, "I have to replace old bell buoys."
"I see," said Theodore, "Well, good luck, Emily." "I will," replied Emily.
After Theodore and Hank finished their remaining jobs, they decided to visit Conrad Explorer just as soon as he woke up.
"Hello," he said the moment he saw Theodore and Hank. "Hi there," said Theodore. "Did you enjoy your nap?" asked Hank.
"Well, yes," answered Conrad Explorer, "I have nothing else to do right now." "I see," said Theodore. "Until much later," Conrad finished his sentence. "Which is tomorrow?" asked Hank.
"Yes," said Conrad Explorer. Meanwhile, Emily was out in the bay, removing an old bell buoy, which was covered in rust. "This thing sure needs a perfect polish," she thought to herself.
So she pulled it out of the water and took it to get it cleaned up. Just then, Emily came across a familiar looking container ship. "Hmm," thought Emily. She decided to talk to the ship.
At the same time, Theodore and Hank were still chatting with Conrad Explorer. "So Conrad," said Hank, "How long you and Cumberland have known each other?"
"Maybe longer than you have been working," joked Conrad Explorer. "I see," replied Theodore. "I've known Theodore ever since he came to live here in the Great Big Harbour!" exclaimed Hank.
"Yeah, that's true," agreed Theodore, "I had my own ideas at first, but making friends is a better choice than that." "Right!" agreed Hank, "It's butter!" "Butter?" repeated Conrad Explorer.
Theodore whispered to Hank, "You mean 'better'." "Oh!" chuckled Hank, "I knew that." "Well, I'm impressed!" said Conrad Explorer. At the same time, Emily reached the container ship.
She knew who he was: Cumberland. "Oh, hey, Cumberland!" called out Emily. Cumberland noticed Emily. "Why hello there!" he replied. "It's good to see you around here again!" said Emily.
"That's really nice of you," said Cumberland. "Sorry, I have an important job to do," said Emily, "I can't guide you in now." "I see," replied Cumberland. "Maybe I can send for another tug," said Emily. "Ok," replied Cumberland. Theodore and Hank continued exchanging stories with Conrad Explorer.
"At one time," said Theodore, "Me and Rebecca had gone on a treasure hunt!" "Oh," said Conrad Explorer, "Did you find anything?" "Maybe an anchor," answered Theodore.
"I see," replied Conrad Explorer. "And one time," said Hank, "I met a not a silly face boat." "That's Millie," said Theodore, "And she lives here." "Oh," said Hank. "Amazing," said Conrad. Before anyone could say anything else, Emily chuffed by, saying, "A ship outside." Then she left without saying anything else.
"Well, you're doing a good job, Emily," said Theodore, suggesting that Emily is too tired to say her sentences correctly. "So, now what, Theodore?" asked Hank.
"We've heard Emily," said Theodore, "Let's bring in the ship." And Theodore and Hank left to bring the ship into the harbour. "Good luck, you two," smiled Conrad Explorer.
In no time at all, Theodore and Hank reached Cumberland. "This must be the ship Emily told us to bring in," thought Hank. "Yes," agreed Theodore, "As he's the only one in our sights."
"Right," agreed Cumberland. "Let's get to work," said Theodore. Theodore and Hank guide Cumberland into the harbour. "Nice to see you again," said Theodore.
"Thanks," replied Cumberland. Meanwhile, Millie, who was nearby, saw Theodore and Hank guiding Cumberland into the harbour. Then she noticed an old bell buoy.
"Looks like this thing needs replacing," she thought. And she left to tell someone about it. She didn't know that it was Emily's job today to bring in all the rusty bell buoys. Theodore and Hank finished moving Cumberland to Clayton's dock.
"There you go," said Theodore. "Yes," agreed Hank. "Thank you two," smiled Cumberland. "Time to get to work," said Clayton and he immediately started unloading Cumberland's containers.
"Oh, by the way," said Theodore, before leaving, "Your friend, Conrad Explorer is here." "Really?" asked Cumberland. "When you're not doing any jobs, I would like for you two to meet up again."
"Yes!" agreed Hank. "Oh thank you, Theodore and Hank!" replied Cumberland, "I've always wanted to see him for years!" "You will!" said Theodore. "Yes!" agreed Hank, and the two left.
Meanwhile, Millie was already speeding into the harbour. Emily was also speeding from the other way. After Emily turned a courner around a large rock, she saw Millie heading towards her! "Oh no!" she cried. "Emily!" shouted Millie, "Watch out!" It was too late for either of them to stop in time.
An extremely loud bang occurred as the two struck each other bow first. "Ouch!" they cried simultaneously.
Theodore and Hank just floated for a while.
"Theodore," said Hank at first, "Do you think it's nice to talk to Conrad Explorer?" "Hank," Theodore replied, "Yes, it was nice to talk to him like that, and we are going to have him meet Cumberland." "Really?" asked Hank. "Yes," replied Theodore, "And that's what we're going to do tomorrow."
"Yes!" agreed Hank, "Tomorrow." So as the sun sets for the day, the two friends floated off together, thinking about what they are going to do tomorrow. There will be something else happening tomorrow, too.
