George Rolls On Forward

Early one morning, George had finished towing out William B. "Good luck on your journey to Singapore!" George called to the big ship. "Thanks!" William B. called back as he left the Great Big Harbour. "I can see," said George.

Next, he brought in Canso, the supertanker into the big harbour and took him to the oil refinery. "Thanks," said Canso in his squeaky voice. "No problem," smiled George, "And how?"

Then afterwards, George brought in Margaret and docked her into the loading dock with no problems. "See?" George said, "I can do the job with no problem!" "We know, George," the other tugboat groaned. "Oh well," said George. "I think I'm going to have a headache," said Annapolis.

Sometime later that day, George was resting at his dock after finishing his work. "Nothing like a great big job to start my great day," said George. "I know," The Dispatcher said. "Uh-huh," Donald Dock said, as 'uh-huh' is all that Donald ever says.

"George isn't boastful when he's asleep," said Hank. "That is true," said Emily. The other tugs carried on worth their work for the time.

One hour later, the Dispatcher sent George and Theodore to bring in a big ship. "I'm telling you, Theodore," George said, "This is going to be an easy job." "If you say so," said Theodore.

A few minutes later, they approached the entrance to the harbour. The big ship was waiting outside the harbour entrance, next to Blandford. "Thar she is!" George called out. "Thar?" Theodore repeated. This ship is Gloria Cornwallis.

"Morning, Gloria!" George boomed. "Oh boy," said Theodore quietly. "Morning," Gloria Cornwallis called back and then, she looked at Theodore. "I hope you won't use me as a battering ram," Gloria Cornwallis said severely to Theodore.

"No, ma'am," Theodore replied, embarrassed. "Oh, Theodore," George said, "It'll be fine now. Just stick with me." "That's funny," said Gloria Cornwallis with a chuckle, "I'm carrying wood glue today."

Soon, the two tugboats towed Gloria Cornwallis into the harbour and docked in her dock safely. George and Theodore left to do their next job.

Theodore had to move Bayswater barge with Hank while George worked with Emily on moving a freighter to another dock. "There," Emily said. "Thanks George." "No problem," said George, "Why I can move ships faster than any other tugboat!"

"I know," said Emily. "You don't need to yell," Foduck said as he passed by. "Who's yelling?" George asked. "Ugh," Emily groaned. Later, George was towing Shelburne the giant barge. "Good to see you working," Foduck said as he passed by, "George."

"I know!" George said, "I can move barges faster than any other tugboat." "Oh, vey," Foduck groaned. "Can we play jump onto the giant wave?" Brunswick asked. "No!" Foduck answered loudly.

Later, George returned to the Great Ocean Dock to rest. "What a fine day," George said. Soon, Theodore and Hank returned from moving Bayswater. "Man," said Hank, "What a big job Bayswater had to do." "I know," said Theodore.

The next morning, Theodore and George were told to bring in another cargo ship. One who hasn't visited the harbour in years. "Oh boy," said Theodore, "I know where this is going." Soon, they arrived to where Kirby is waiting.

The two tugboats buttoned their towropes onto Kirby and prepared to bring him in. "I hope you won't play pass the logs with my cargo this time," Kirby told Theodore. "No," Theodore replied meekly, "I won't." In no time, the two tugboats began to tow the cargo ship into the harbour.

"Ok," said George, "Where to?" "Dock 5," Kirby answered. "Dock 5 it is then," boomed George. And so, Theodore and George docked Kirby into Dock 5. Theodore had said nothing throughout the whole time.

After that, George left to move even more ships around the Great Big Harbour. Everyone else did their jobs as well. "Ok," said Foduck, fishing lines checked, Millie." "Thanks," said Millie.

"Ok," said Emily, "There you go, Guysborough." "About time!" growled Guysborough. "Thanks," Emily said, "Is more like it." "Ok, Theodore," said Barrington, "I'm ready." "Right," said Theodore.

And Theodore towed Barrington to the oil refinery. "So," said Barrington, "How's your work with George today and yesterday?" "Good?" Theodore answered, "I guess."

For the rest of the day, no other tugboat worked harder than George and by the end of the day, George was very happy. "I know so," he smiled. "Right," the other tugboats agreed. Suddenly.

"Ooh!" George groaned, "What?!" "Oops," said Millie, "Sorry, George." Millie had accidentally dumped fish onto George's deck. "Well, this is a fishy ending," said George. And the other tugboats laughed.
