Bonnavista's Triple Loads

One morning, Theodore is moving Bonnavista barge across the harbour. "All right, Bonnavista," said Theodore, "Let's get going." "I am going with you!" Bonnavista called back. In the Great Big Harbour, many barges have cranes on their deck to help them with the heavy loads they have to haul.

One of the barges that is capable of lifting cargo is Bonnavista. Usually, Theodore tows Barrington around, but today, Barrington is busy with Hank, and all the other barges are busy, too.

So the only barge that was available for Theodore that day was Bonnavista. "All right, Bonnavista," Theodore called, "It's time that we get to work." "Right," Bonnavista agreed. "So where to first?" Theodore asked. "Well," said Bonnavista.

So first, Bonnavista will go to the factory dock to remove some old drums. "Haven't been here for a while," Theodore thought as they pulled up to the docks. "Ok then," said Foduck, who was already there, "Well, go right on ahead, Theodore and Bonnavista." "Right," Theodore and Bonnavista said together.

At once, Bonnavista started to remove the old drums from the dock. It took them only a few minutes to get the job done. And once all of the drums have been removed, Theodore set off with Bonnavista to take them to the recycle docks. "Who says recycling hurts?" Foduck said.

Once that job was done, Theodore set off with Bonnavista to go to a part of the Great Big Harbour. Bonnavista's next job was to remove parts of an old locomotive that had fallen in the water over a hundred years ago.

Of course, George and Emily were there. "Who would dump a locomotive in the waters?" Emily asked? "Well, it was over a hundred years ago," George replied, "So who cares?" "Man," Emily thought, "Talk about not respecting history." "Of course I respect history!" George boomed, "Well, here's Theodore with Bonnavista now!" "Ready to go," Bonnavista called back.

So, part by part, Bonnavista raised parts of the old locomotive and placed them onto a cargo barge. Once Bonnavista had finished raising up the train, Foduck arrived to inspect the ruins. "Ugh," he groaned, "A scam." "What?" George asked. "You mean?" Emily asked.

"Some Flim Flam of a fool tried to sell this locomotive as a great product," Foduck explained, "This one is a failure!" "Oh, I see," said George. "No kidding," Emily agreed.

Anyway, once the remains had been taken away, Theodore took Bonnavista to a place outside of the harbour. By now, it was almost dinnertime for people. The two came across Millie and Truro. They had a large problem.

A bunch of logs were blocking their way to a small part where they like to go fishing. "Looks like we got us some roadblocks," Theodore said. "You mean water dams," Truro replied. He wasn't trying to make a joke. Nonetheless, Theodore had Bonnavista began to clear up the waterways.

"No time to say anything," said Bonnavista, "Let's get to work." And they did. Theodore helped, too. Meanwhile, Hank stopped by to see what was going on. "What kind of job do you want to do?" Hank asked Barrington, "I mean, what job should we do next?"

"Well," Barrington replied, "It's up to you." "Oh, right," Hank replied as they continued on. After a few hours and careful tugging, the pathway was clear and Truro and Millie can go fishing. "Whoosh!" Bonnavista exclaimed. "You can say that too many times," Theodore replied.

By the end of the day, Theodore took Bonnavista back to her dock and returned to the Great Ocean Docks. "So, Theodore," the Dispatcher called to the little tugboat, "How did today go for you?" "Let's say interesting," Theodore answered, "But I think you should ask Bonnavista." "Uh-huh," Donald Dock replied. "Oh, right," the Dispatcher replied.
