Well everybody this is it, we can say goodbye to 2022 and hello to 2023. Happy New Year! I just hope that this year will at least be better than last year, because last year was terrible! I had Covid twice and influenza, aka a terrible flu and I had to go to the emergency room twice. Not to mention, the deaths of so many people, like Bob Saget, Emilio Delgado, Pat Carroll, Queen Elizabeth II and Kevin Conroy. RIP to all of them!

Anyway my new chapter is up and please leave a review because I would really like to know how I'm doing, because some things I want to make sure I'm doing it right. The song in this chapter is inspired by Aaron Fraser-Nash.

Were You Ever

After Hava left the kitchen she slowly walked around thinking about what Lonnie said. Hava knew that she was lucky that she had a father who loves and cares for her. But it made her think how much she missed her father even more. As she was thinking of him still stuck on the Isle, it made her so sad. She didn't care what that hairless beast of a king, Belle or what Fairy Godmother said. Who were they to decide what was good or bad? Or what was right or wrong? Hava then started to sing softly.

They call him villain

They call him demon

But if you'd seen what I seen

Would you feel the same?

Were you ever seen as a monster on sight?

A creature of the night

And wondered why

I will not run

I will not fear

I will come and be right here

Were you ever seen as an outsider?

A misfit that is painted as a horned viper

Treated as a creature filled with dire

Were you ever seen as a mistake?

Had a time when you'd just break

Your plans are in ruin and you're left with ache

I love my dear dad

We share a goal

To gain our freedom

But the Beast takes his tolls

Our time for vengeance is right in sight

They will see the strength of our might

From Prydain to Camelot

We will not lose ourselves

We will not lose faith

We will stand as one like a pack of wolves

Were you ever seen as an outsider?

A misfit that is painted as a horned viper

Treated as a creature filled with dire

Were you ever seen as a mistake?

Had a time when you'd just break

Your plans are in ruin and you're left with ache

You wait now Pig boy, the time of the dead will come

And when it does, our shadows will carry our rage

Because our judgment was never yours

Were you ever seen as an outsider?

A misfit that is painted as a horned viper

Treated as a creature filled with dire

Were you ever seen as a mistake?

Had a time when you'd just break

Your plans are in ruin and you're left with ache

Hava then heard someone clapping, she quickly turned to find it was Emrys, who was smiling and walking over to her as he continued clapping.

"Emrys? What are you doing here?" Hava asked.

"Sorry love, I wanted to talk to you back in the kitchen, but I figured it wasn't the right time," Emrys told her, "Wow Hava, you're a lovely singer."

"Thanks," Hava smiles, "My father would sing to me when I was a kid, it's probably why I started enjoying singing."

"You really miss him, don't you?" Emrys said with sympathy.

"Yes," Hava answers.

"Believe it or not I know the feeling," Emrys said, "All my life I've been raised by my grandfather Merlin and I grew very close to him."

"Your parents?" Hava asked.

"Not around," Emrys answers straight-forward.

Hava nods, "I see. My mother was never around in fact she gave me up the minute after I was born."

"I'm sorry," Emrys says.

Hava shrugs, "I'm more of a daddy's girl anyway, so don't be. My father is all I need."

"I feel the same about my grandfather," Emrys responds and then says, "It's getting close to curfew time, we better get to our rooms, otherwise we'll never hear the end of it from Fairy Godmother."

Hava nods, "Yeah I have to say you're right about that. I guess I'll see you tomorrow."

Emrys gave another boyish charming smile, "See you tomorrow. Night, love." He then walked away.

Hava frowned with her red eyes narrowing at what Emrys said. He called her love twice, even though they're not dating. I told him my father said no dating. Oh well he'll only be here until after the coronation and then that'll be it with him. But I have to have to admit, he is kind of charming, far more charming than anyone else here. Hava shook her head, even if that was true, she would never date anyone unless her father approved of them. Hava then made her way back to her dorm.

I also wasn't sure if Sherwood Forest, Camelot or Wonderland would be better in the song.
