Chapter 7: The Stand
(Intro)
On a rainy night in Dragon City, the Dragon Eye Crew were rounding up Dragons for Word. "Get in there! Move it!" Rancydd exclaimed as he loaded the Dragons into a carrier. "That makes 10 Dragons tonight. How many Wraith Dragons is Mr. Paynn making?" Swayy asked. "Enough to control a city, Swayy. Enough to build an army." Rancydd said. "Enough talk. Time to go."
Suddenly, Artha, in his Dragon Booster armor, and Beau dropped down onto the carrier. "Leaving so soon?" Artha asked. Rancydd and Swayy turned around to see Kitt and Derek, in their Booster armors, leap onto the platform with Wyldfyr and Volcanya. "What a shame. The party's just getting started." Derek said. "Oh, great. It's the Boosters." Swayy said, displeased at their situation. As Beau leapt down from the carrier, Artha knocked on it, causing the captured Dragons to rush out and escape. "Dragon Eyes! Move in! CAPTURE THEM!" Rancydd exclaimed into his com-link. "Artha, we have incoming." Beau said. Artha looked behind him and saw the Dragon Eye crew riding right towards them. "Beau, see that tower?" He asked, pointing to a tower in front of them. "I see it and know what to do with it." Beau said. They headed towards it, bounced off it and flipped over the Dragon Eye crew. Kitt used her cannons and surrounded the Dragon Eye crew in a ring of fire. "Magma, give them a ride." Artha said. Derek hopped off Volcanya and stomped his foot on the ground, creating a magma geyser that shot the Dragon Eye crew into the air. "Our turn, Beau." Artha said. "Go get them, partner." Beau said. As he magged Artha into the air, Artha drew his staff and bashed through the Dragon Eye crew. "Hit the road." He said as the Dragon Eye crew crash-landed. "Nice one." Kitt said. "That's how you do it." Derek said.
As Rancydd and Swayy watched their crew get defeated, Rancydd called Word on his wrist-com. "These Boosters are proving to be quite a nuisance. Pull back and come to me. It's time for a new plan." Word said.
Later, Artha, Kitt and Derek returned to Penn Stables. "That was weird. Rancydd and Swayy just pulled out of there without putting up a fight." Artha said. "Yeah. What was up with that?" Kitt asked. "I don't know. But at least we stopped them from stealing those Dragons." Artha said. "Indeed. Nice work out there, kids." Connor said as he, Parmon and Artha's siblings, minus Holly, walked up to them. "Thanks, Dad. And I think we should get some sleep." Artha said. "But there's a race tomorrow, Artha. You and Kitt need to practice." Parmon objected. "Sorry, Parm. But we've practiced all day. And we've been foiling Word's forces all day too." Kitt said. "That's okay, kids. You've all worked hard today. A little sleep should rest you all up for the race." Connor said. "Thanks, Dad." Artha said as he sat next to Beau. "Fine! Everyone can just sleep the night away. I have work to do." Parmon said as he walked out. "Hey, where's Holly?" Derek asked, noticing Holly wasn't with them. "Still tending to that pink Dragon you guys rescued earlier." Benny said. "She's really become attached to her." Jessica said. "Of course, she has. We Penns have our way with Dragons." Artha said before falling asleep with Beau cuddling him.
Meanwhile, in one of the stalls, Holly was tending to the pink Dragon. The Dragon was all glittery and had 2 ribbon sails. She named her Glyttia. She was carefully wrapping bandages around Glyttia's left hind leg. When the team found Glyttia, she was badly hurt when she was captured. As Holly bandaged Glyttia, she sang a heartwarming song.
The sky is dark and the hills are white
As the Storm King speeds from the North tonight
And this is the song the Storm King sings
As over the world his cloak he flings
Sleep, sleep, little one, sleep
He rustles his wings and gruffly sings
Sleep, little one, sleep
As Holly sang, Glyttia rested her head on her lap. Holly hummed as she rubbed the sleeping Dragon's head.
Meanwhile, Rancydd and Swayy met with Word in his secret lair. "What do you expect us to do?! Now that there's 3 of them, they're getting harder for us to battle!" Rancydd exclaimed. "I have a plan that will deliver me the Gold Dragon and the Great Dragon Phoenix once and for all. It begins with the most powerful Wraith Dragon ever created." Word said, gesturing to the screens playing replays of Artha and Beau. "Artha Penn's Dragon?" Swayy asked. "Yes. He is powerful and skilled and one of the fastest Dragons I have ever seen. I will turn him into my personal weapon against the Gold Dragon." Word said. "The Penn family has a lot of friends and are popular on the street race circuit. That Dragon will be hard to steal. Even for us." Swayy said. "Not if they let me steal it." Word said sinisterly.
The next day, at the street race circuit, the team was witnessing a fight between 2 of the participating Dragons. "Oh, man! Did you see that?" Artha asked. "Yeah, it was Drac!" Lance exclaimed. "Lance!" Connor exclaimed. "It was not Drac. It was very bad." Parmon said. "It's the Dragons. They're getting harder to control." Kitt said. "She's right. Everyone's been talking about it." Fallon said. Suddenly, one of the Dragons nearby roared angrily. "Even the Dragons are talking about it." Artha said, understanding the Dragon. "What'd he say?" Jessica asked. "Trust me. You don't want to know." Artha said. "Even I wish I could un-hear that." Beau said. "I never thought I'd say this, but these races are getting unpredictable and more dangerous than fighting crime." Kitt said. "I know you're right, Kitt. But like it or not, these races are our training for crime fighting." Artha said. The others nodded in agreement. "Come on, kids. Let's get ready for the next race." Connor said. "Mr. Penn's right. We need points and gear or you guys will never make it to the level 2 rounds." Parmon said as they walked away. Unknown to them, Swayy was hiding nearby, preparing to set Word's plan into motion. "Rancydd, it's Swayy. I'm going in." She whispered into her com-link.
"Look, guys, if you want to improve your points, gear and get more Drackles, why don't you just enter a level 3 competition?" Holly asked. Everyone turned to face her with shocked expressions. "Level 3? But how can we do that?" Kitt asked. "Kitt's right, Holly. We don't have the gear or the training to take on a level 3 race." Artha said. Just then, Swayy put on a disguise and walked up to them. "Excuse me. I couldn't help, but overhear your conversation. If you lot need new gear, why don't you just get a sponsor?" She suggested. "A sponsor?" Artha asked. "Think about it. Artha Tannis Penn, a rising star, son of the great Connor Penn. Anybody would sponsor you." Swayy said. "Yeah. A sponsor. Free stuff!" Lance exclaimed. "I don't know. We already have Connor's gear and each other as a team." Kitt said. "And just who are you anyway?" Derek asked. "I'm just a local girl who's just saying. A sponsor could make your lives much easier. You wouldn't have to work so hard or practice so much." Swayy said. "I don't trust this person. Her aura's all kinds of trouble." Beau said. "I don't know. Do you know a sponsor?" Artha asked, sensing suspicion. "Sponsor Row. Building 985." Swayy said, handing Artha a card before walking away. Artha looked at the card. "What're you thinking, Artha?" Parmon asked. "I think something's up. Let's go talk to this sponsor and see what's up." Artha said. As the team walked away, Swayy contacted Rancydd on her com-link. "Rancydd, it's Swayy. Tell Master Paynn that Artha Tannis Penn is on his way." She said sinisterly.
Later, the team arrived at building 985 in Sponsor Row and walked up to the sponsor. Unknown to them, it was actually none other than Word Paynn. "Are you a sponsor?" Artha asked suspiciously. "I am someone interested in helping you, the first-born son of Connor Penn, and your team." Word said, disguising his voice so Connor wouldn't recognize him. "Everyone knows you, Artha. Such talent, such skill. But I guess that things are getting…hard for you and your family. With what happened with your stables and all. No time to be a kid anymore, is there? No time for games, no time for fun. It's always practice, practice, practice." "Yeah, it is." Artha said, sensing something dark about this sponsor. "I can help you with all of that." Word said. Just then, a light flashed next to the team. They looked and saw a new kind of Green Gear. "I can make you a famous racer, Artha. All you have to do is put the gear in your mag pit and try it. If you don't like it, just give it back." Word said. Artha took the gear and examined it. But he felt that something was not right about this gear. "Thanks for the offer, but I'm gonna have to take a pass with this. I'm good with the gear I have." He said, putting the gear back. Word was not happy about this. But as the team left, Holly, being the youngest of the octuplets, stayed and looked curiously at the gear. "You find the gear…curious, little Holly?" Word asked. "Yes." Holly said. "Your brother may not want it, but you are more than welcome to it." Word said. Holly looked at the gear and smiled with curiosity.
Later, the team returned to the stables to load up on gear. "I think we should at least try to enter a level 3 race." Artha said. "But we don't have the gear to do so." Parmon said. "I know. But if we enter this race, we can get stronger when we have to go up against big threats like Word Paynn or the Gloomix Clan." Artha said. "Artha's right. We have to be ready no matter what." Kitt said. The others agreed. Just then, Holly returned to the stables, hiding the gear in her backpack. "Well, hello, stranger. Where'd you get to?" Connor asked. "I had to take care of…something." Holly lied. "What's in the backpack, Holly?" Erika asked. "It's…food. For Glyttia. She needs her strength. Gotta go." Holly lied as she took off. Artha watched as she left, sensing something bad.
"Soon, I will have a new Wraith Dragon in my stable, Penns. It may not be Artha Penn's Dragon, but Holly's Dragon will have to suffice." Word said sinisterly.
Later, Artha and Kitt were preparing for the race with the others. "Oh, dear. The race is in 10 minutes and I'm really nervous." Parmon said. "Why are you nervous? We're the ones racing not you." Kitt said. "I think he's just worried since this is your first level 3 race." Gwen said. "Well, you can relax, Parm. We trained hard for this race." Artha said. "Penns!" Moordryd called as he and Cain walked over to them. "Moordryd. Cain. You guys made it." Artha said as he greeted them. "So, I take it that you knew that my father was trying to trick you." Moordryd guessed. "Yeah. But I managed to see through his plan." Artha said. "Good. But where's Holly?" Moordryd asked, seeing that Holly wasn't with the team. "I don't know. She said she had something to do and then she just took off." Connor said. Moordryd started to worry about Holly. They started secretly developing feelings for each other some time after Fira disappeared.
Meanwhile, Holly and Glyttia were back at the stables. Holly brought out the gear Word gave her and held it out to Glyttia. "Okay, girl. Let's see if this gear is everything that sponsor said it is." She said. Glyttia magged the gear onto her head and activated it. She fired an iron ball from the gear and hit a Wraith Dragon target the Penn family set up for outdoor training. "Alright! It works!" Holly cheered. Glyttia was happy too.
But unknown to them, Word was secretly controlling the gear from his lair. "Now I will control the Pink Dragon and use her to help me capture the Dragon Booster and the Gold Dragon." He said as he contacted Rancydd and Swayy. "Now all I need is some kind of emergency to lure the Boosters. And Rancydd and Swayy, they better show up. So, make it a big emergency."
Meanwhile, the race was about to begin. Artha, Kitt and the other racers were all ready at the starting line as the track's glow counted down. When it glowed green, the Dragons took off down the track. "I think you 2 made the perfect choice in gear for the first run." Parmon said through the com-link. "We'll see." Artha said. "But you can always mag some other gear on the next lap when the course changes." Parmon said. "Thanks, Parm." Artha said. "We'll keep it in mind." Kitt said. "Good luck, kids." Connor said.
As they reached a tunnel, the racer ahead of them activated his Dragon's White Gear, blocking them from passing. Beau and Wyldfyr tried to break through, but the gear was too strong. "We can't bust through it!" Beau exclaimed. "Pull back! We'll lose energy if we keep pushing!" Artha exclaimed. "Good call!" Kitt agreed. They pulled back as the racer got further ahead. "What's going on out there? Beau and Wyldfyr's Draconium coordination are down 30% already." Parmon said through the com-link. "We were getting a bit of trouble from one of the other racers." Kitt said. "We told you these races were getting tougher! We need to mag-pit on the next lap!" Artha exclaimed. "I'm guessing that since the new course will include obstacle and maneuvering sections. So, mag the Blue Turning and Brown Bashing." Parmon said. "He's right. Those gear colors should give you 2 an advantage." Connor said. "Copy that, Dad." Artha said.
Lance and Jessica rolled out the mag-pits for Artha and Kitt as they started to turn up. The 2 racers magged their gear as they passed the pits. "Heads up. Our blocker's coming right up." Beau said. Artha looked up and saw the same racer from before up ahead, activating his Dragon's White Gear. "Looks like there's a jump ahead." Kitt said. "Too bad he won't make it." Artha said. Kitt nodded, knowing the plan. They activated their Brown Bashing Gear and bashed through the racer's White Gear, forcing him to stop before he fell off the jump. Artha and Kitt activated their White Gear and leapt over the other racer and off the jump, gliding through the air. "Just what do you 2 kids think you're doing making such insane moves like that?!" Parmon asked. "Looks like they're jumping into 2nd place." Charlie said. "What? 2nd place?" Parmon asked. As the 2 racers ahead were battling it out for the lead, Artha and Beau simultaneously thought of a way to score a win. "Beau, you thinking what I'm thinking?" Artha asked. "Yes. Activate our Red Thrusters. That should help get us in the lead." Beau said. "One boost coming up." Artha said. He activated the Red Gear and flew past the other racers, giving Artha the win. "YES!" Kitt cheered. Parmon, Moordryd, Cain and the Penn family cheered at Artha and Beau's victory.
Later, Artha and Beau were being congratulated by the other racers as they headed back to the others. "Great win." One of them said. "That was smart thinking back there, Beau." Artha said. "Back at you, partner." Beau said. "Artha!" Kitt cried, alerting them both. "What's wrong?" Artha asked as he and Beau rushed to the others. "It's Holly. She just called us and said that something's wrong with Glyttia." Erika said. Artha got worried.
Later, the team returned to the stables to see and listen to what Holly was upset about. "You took the gear from that sponsor?! And you didn't tell us?!" Artha exclaimed angrily. "Yes, I know. But we were just testing it and now she can't de-mag it." Holly said. Glyttia tried to de-mag the gear, but it wouldn't mag off. As she tried again, a piece of the gear broke off. "You see? She's trying to de-mag it, but can't." Holly said. "Weird. A Dragon not being able to de-mag gear is just plain creepy." Parmon said. Artha picked up the piece Glyttia broke off and inspected it. "I had my suspicions about this gear earlier. But I should talk to Mortis to be sure. Kitt and Derek, you come with me. You guys head back to the track. If this another one of Word's plans, we need to be ready." He explained. "What about me?" Holly asked guiltily. "You stay with Glyttia and wait for us, Holly. If that gear's what I think it is, she needs you by her side." Artha said. Holly nodded, comforting Glyttia.
Meanwhile, Rancydd and Sway were setting up their trap. 4 Dragons were locked in place with electro-penning prongs. "Are the electro-penning prongs in place?" Rancydd asked. "Of course." Swayy said. "Good. When I give the signal, short out the fetlocks and blow the penning prongs. Those 4 Dragons will start a Dragon stampede just fine. And the stampede will bring the Boosters into Mr. Paynn's trap." Rancydd said sinisterly.
Meanwhile, Parmon, Moordryd, Cain, Connor and Artha's siblings investigated the track with their Dragons. "You see anything, Cain?" Moordryd asked. "Nothing." Cain said. "I think this whole thing is trouble somehow." Parmon said. "You're right to think so, Parmon. Word always had his ways of making trouble." Connor said. Suddenly, there was an explosion ahead. "What's happening?" Lance asked, shocked from hearing that. "Seismic activity in Dragon City? That's unusual." Connor said. "Well, it can't be an earthquake." Parmon said. "Maybe a dust cloud?" Fallon guessed. "Or thunder." Benny guessed. But then, everyone's eyes widened at what was coming their way. A massive Dragon stampede. "STAMPEDE!" Connor exclaimed. Everyone turned their Dragons around and ran the other way to avoid the stampede. Rancydd and Swayy watched the scene from above. "We're ready, Master Paynn." Rancydd said through his com-link. "A Dragon stampede in my honor? How fitting. You've both done well. Now to call my secret weapon and wait for the Boosters. Come to me. Come, my new Wraith Dragon." Word said, tempting his control onto Glyttia.
Meanwhile, as Artha, Kitt and Derek prepare to enter the ancient temple, Glyttia started behaving strangely again. "Glyttia? What's wrong, girl?" Holly asked worriedly. Just then, the gear started glowing and seized control of Glyttia's mind. "Glyttia? Glyttia!" Holly cried as her Dragon ran away. Artha, Kitt and Derek comforted her as she cried. "What have I done?" She said tearfully.
They rushed down to the temple and ran up to Mortis. "Mortis! Something's going on!" Artha exclaimed. "What happened?" Mortis asked. "Someone tried to sponsor me with some new gear. But after I turned him down, Holly took the gear, put it on Glyttia and now she's run away." Artha explained. "Gear? What kind of gear?" Mortis asked. Artha held up the broken gear piece. "I sensed something weird about it earlier, but I need your confirmation to prove it." He said. Mortis scratched the piece with her staff, revealing the green to be nothing but paint. "It's paint!" Derek said in surprise. "That's a Black Draconium Gear!" Kitt exclaimed. "I knew it! The sponsor was trying to get me to put Beau under his control!" Artha exclaimed. "Paynn!" Mortis confirmed. "No! I just turned my Glyttia into a Wraith Dragon!" Holly cried.
Just then, the temple's alarm blared. Mortis activated a television and revealed the panic caused by the Dragon stampede. "And Mid City is in panic at this moment as a huge Dragon stampede has just thundered past the intersection of drag-ways 11 and 05 through 55. Damage to the city is immense. Security is powerless. The people need help. They are asking for the heroes they are calling the Boosters." The news lady reported. "Oh no. The others are down there." Derek said worriedly. "They'll be caught in the middle of it!" Kitt exclaimed. "Guys! There's a huge stampede in Mid City!" Artha called through the com-link.
"We are right smack-dab in the middle of it!" Parmon exclaimed as he and the others continued running from the stampede. "We're not sure how long we can stay ahead of it! We need help down here!" Moordryd exclaimed.
"Hang on, guys! We're on our way!" Artha exclaimed. "But how are we gonna get ahead of them?" Derek asked. "The stampede is heading towards the old city aqueduct system. Go outside the main exit and follow the pipe North. It will put you guys to where they're headed." Mortis explained, showing the pathway on the screen. "But we gotta find Glyttia." Holly cried with worry. "And we will, Holly. If the stampede's heading for the aqueduct, then Glyttia will be there too." Derek said, comforting his little sister. "Let's do it, guys." Artha said, getting his amulet ready. Kitt and Derek got their amulets ready too. "RELEASE THE DRAGON!" "RELEASE THE FIRE DRAGON!" "RELEASE THE VOLCANO DRAGON!" They activated their armors and transformed into their Booster Modes.
Meanwhile, the Dragon stampede raced through the city and terrorized the civilians. Word focused his cameras on Glyttia as she joined the stampede. "Slow down, my girl. Wait for the Boosters." He said. He activated the Black Gear and transformed poor Glyttia into a Wraith Dragon.
Meanwhile, Artha, Kitt, Derek and Holly rode Beau, Wyldfyr and Volcanya along the pipes towards the aqueduct. When they got to the right spot, they saw the others and the stampede heading their way. Suddenly, as the others passed under the 3 Boosters and Holly, everything started shaking. "What's happening?" Kitt asked. Beau noticed the problem. "The vibrations from the stampede! It's causing the track to crack apart!" He exclaimed. "We're going down!" Artha exclaimed. They leapt off the track as it crumbled apart, creating a roadblock. But the stampede shot right through it like it was nothing.
"This is all my fault! Why did I have to be so curious? Now I've lost my Glyttia!" Holly cried out of guilt. Just then, Artha got an idea. "Holly, try calling out to Glyttia. It might break Word's control over her." He said. "What? But I can't do that. I'm not a Booster like you guys." Holly protested. "Holly, we've seen how strong your bond with Glyttia is. It's as strong as our bonds with our Dragons." Artha said. "Yeah. If any of our Dragons need our help, we would do the same." Kitt said. "We know you have the power to help Glyttia, Holly. You need to believe that you can help her." Derek said. Beau, Wyldfyr and Volcanya growled in agreement. "The Dragons agree. We believe in you, Holly. You can do it." Artha said. Holly, believing in herself, leapt down to the track. "Glyttia, I need you." She said, trying to reach out to her Pink Dragon. Suddenly, a pink light trailed from her fingers and headed towards the stampede. "Glyttia!" She called again as the light reached Glyttia. "Glyttia, I need you." Glyttia started regaining control of herself. "GLYTTIA!" Just then, she smashed the Black Gear against the wall, severing Word's control. "WHAT?!" Word exclaimed in shock. Glyttia shook off the remaining pieces and transformed back into her sparkly pink look. "I've lost the Dragon?! My trap is ruined!" Word exclaimed.
As Glyttia stopped in the middle of the stampede, she gave a loud roar as the same pink light trailed back to Holly, surprising her. "Holly, look!" Kitt exclaimed. Holly looked and saw Glyttia running back towards her. "Glyttia!" She cried happily. Glyttia playfully pounced on her and nuzzled her. "Oh, I'm so happy you're back, girl!" Holly cried as she hugged her Dragon. "Come on! We gotta help the others!" Artha exclaimed as he, Kitt and Derek rode after the stampede. Holly got on Glyttia's back and followed.
Meanwhile, the stampede continued chasing the others. "Hang on, guys! We're on our way!" Artha called through the com-link. "Okay, how do we stop a massive Dragon stampede?" Derek asked. "We gotta get them off the track first before they do anymore damage." Kitt said. "Artha, what about Lance's game?" Beau asked. "That's it! The Level 12 Battleground Dragon!" Artha exclaimed. "Great idea, Artha." Connor said through the com-link. "Lance, give me your Battleground Dragon game and your Flashstick!" Parmon called. As Lance tossed him his game and Flashstick, Parmon attached the game to the tip of the stick. Artha and Beau rode up beside the group from atop the pipes. "Here! Throw it to me and I'll do the rest!" Artha called. Parmon threw the Flashstick up to him. "Let's hope this works." Moordryd said. Beau stopped and magged Artha up to a higher pipe. Artha attached the Flashstick to the pipe and activated the game before leaping down for Beau to mag him back on. As the game came on, the Dragon roared at the stampede causing them to turn the other way, off the track.
"Drac! You used the vid-game to slow them down." Lance said. "Yeah, but they didn't stop." Erika said. "So, now how do we stop them?" Derek asked. "If only we could talk to them like how I called out to Glyttia." Holly said. Just then, that gave Artha and Beau an idea. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Artha asked. "We know someone who can talk to them." Beau said. "Let's go!" Artha exclaimed. They rode off after the stampede. "Artha! Beau! What're you doing?!" Kitt exclaimed. Artha and Beau got ahead of the stampede and stood on another pipe. Artha got off Beau and started to glow. Everyone looked on in awe at what was happening. Artha gave a loud shout and the Great Dragon Phoenix emerged from his body. The others gasped at this as the Great Dragon Phoenix let out a loud shriek, causing the stampede to stop. The Great Dragon Phoenix started singing to them. "What's it doing?" Derek asked. "It's talking to them." Connor said. The Dragons bowed to their great creator. Unknown to the team, Rancydd and Swayy were watching the whole thing. "Do you see that?" Swayy asked, both shocked and awed. "Yes, I see it. Mr. Paynn was right. You control the power and you control the world." Rancydd said. But suddenly, as the Great Dragon Phoenix disappeared back into Artha's body, he felt exhausted and fainted from using up a lot of his power. "ARTHA!" The team cried. Luckily, Beau caught him with his tail. "You did what you needed to, partner." He said.
Later, the team returned to the stables. Artha slowly started coming around. "How are you feeling, Artha?" Kitt asked. "I've felt better. Now I know the consequences for using that much power to summon the Great Dragon Phoenix from my own body." Artha said. "Well, we all did good today, son." Connor said. "Yeah. We stopped a Dragon stampede and got Glyttia back." Parmon said. "Yeah. We did it together as a team. No sponsor required." Artha said. But then, Holly sighed sadly. "What's wrong, Holly?" Lance asked. "I still feel guilty about what I did. I let my curiosity get a hold of me and put my new best friend in danger." Holly said, feeling bad for what happened. "Hey, I know how you feel. Everyone does something they come to regret." Artha said. "It's true. I made a lot of mistakes when I started racing. But I learned from those mistakes with help from your father." Kitt said. "They're right, Holly. You can't feel guilty because of one mistake. Being curious is part of being human. Even Dragons get curious at times." Connor said. "He's right. No matter how many mistakes someone makes, they're still the same. No matter what." Moordryd said. Holly smiled, knowing how happy her family makes her.
"Say, guys. How about we relax with a little story?" Artha asked. "I like the sound of that." Lance said. "I agree." Kitt said. "I don't mind." Derek said. "Should be fun." Moordryd said. "Go ahead, Artha." Connor said. "In that case, I have the perfect story in mind." Artha said. He reached into his bag and pulled out an old-looking book with a garnet gemstone on its cover. His siblings recognized the book. "Artha, is that the book Grandpa gave you? The same one he gave us?" Erika asked. "Yes. I figured that this story would be perfect to relax to." Artha said. "Well, what're you waiting for? Read it." Holly said eagerly. Artha opened the book and began reading.
"The Legend of Dradevows.
Long ago, there is a world filled with wonderful Dragons and people who lived in that world in peace. These people who reside in Dradevows have unique features and possessed magical powers. 12 special stones were the key to open a hidden gateway to Dradevows by stepping and dancing on each special stone. But on the 12th one, it must be twirled 3 times to open the gateway. Once entered, witness the beauty and wonder of the world of Dradevows. Meet people of Dradevows with arms spread open to welcome their visitors with warmth and kindness. And thus, form an alliance when there's darkness that would spread across the entire universe
The End."
As Artha finished the story, he saw that Kitt, Parmon, Moordryd, Cain, Connor, his siblings and the Dragons were all fast asleep. "Still got it." He said with a small smile. He turned his attention to his story book, wondering if the legend was true. "If Dradevows does exist, I hope we can discover it. And hopefully, the people there will help us stop the darkness of Word Paynn and the Gloomix Clan." He said.
Well, how was that? The street races were getting tougher for Artha and Kitt. During this, Word tried to sponsor Artha by giving him a Black Control Gear disguised as Green Gear. But as Artha saw through the plan, Holly's curiosity caused her to take the Gear herself and use it on her own Dragon, Glyttia, and ended up turning her into a Wraith Dragon. But in the end, Holly managed to free Glyttia and the Boosters foiled Word's plans once more. But what's next for the growing Booster team? Just how many Wraith Dragons has Word created? And will the Penn family ever discover the secret of their story book? Leave a review if you'd like.
