Cavalry Surprising End Overwhelm Joy
Yang managed to punch through the ice wall to get inside for team RWBY to go help Izuku's team defend against Shoto's team.
"Bursting through if you don't mind." Yang smirked as Blake narrow her eyes to analyze the scene.
"Oh no, another team is here!" Momo shocked.
"Damn it, if only my legs will work right now." Tenya cursed himself as his engines are still useless right now.
"Should we be worried about them, Deku?" Ochaco asked worry of Blake's team being here.
"That is unexpected, but we have to stay strong now that we got the headband back." Izuku believed they should be on the defensive now with another team being here.
"Uh, wait a minute, Big Boy. Please tell me I got something wrong with my eyes." Mei noticed something really wrong with the headband in Izuku's hand.
Izuku was confused of what Mei said but decided to look at it for himself then gasp when he finally saw the number on this headband, it was not the ten-million-point headband but a seventy-point headband meaning Shoto's team were expecting this to happen.
"They tricked us!" Izuku shocked.
"Wait, so they didn't get the big headband back?" Ruby surprised.
"We mixed the headbands up. There's no way we leave the prize on top. You underestimate us." Momo pointed out.
"That answer your question." Weiss said.
"Todoroki, better watch yourself. That was too close." Tenya said to the team leader who was looking at his left arm.
"Oh no! Team Midoriya didn't get the ten million points after all!" Present Mic announced shock of this sudden realization, seeing that Midoriya's team were getting themselves back on top but couldn't.
"(Adding this with the other headband we got, that's 235 points, but it's not enough.)" Izuku thought feared that his team isn't gonna make it to the final event.
"That game's almost over. Time for the countdown!" Present Mic announced and the hologram board changed into a timer.
"Ten seconds left!" Ruby screamed.
"Tokoyami, go after Blake's team!" Izuku ordered.
"On it!" Fumkagmi nodded and Dark Shadow charges at the team.
"Ruby, speed us at Shoto's team." Blake ordered quickly and Ruby use her Semblance to carry them at Shoto's team.
"Kaminari!" Tenya shouted and the electric boy quickly zaps them with his power though the four girls from another world are protected by their auras but still felt some of the attack.
Just when things couldn't get any worse, Katsuki's team suddenly burst through the ice wall from the other side and Katsuki himself launches himself toward Deku to get his headband.
"Deku!" Katsuki shouted.
"Is that guy crazy or something?" Weiss wondered what's really going on inside that head of the exploding boy.
"Damn it, charge in!" Izuku shouted.
"Let's go!" Ochaco screamed as the team carries Izuku to their opponents.
Katsuki notice that Deku is desperately trying to make his way to Shoto's team which he quickly figured out that the icy-hot bastard has the most points now, he blasted himself charging at Shoto while team RWBY is trying to see if they can snatch some points from Shoto and Katsuki.
All four teams are charging at each other ready for the final clash to decide their fate in this Sports Festival.
"Time's up!" Present Mic declared, and Katsuki just fall flat on his face to the ground and the teams stopped.
"And with that, the official second battle is finally over." Present Mic said.
"Bakugo! Are you okay, man?" Eijiro asked concern for his friend only to get a angry mumbling noise from the leader while he pound his fist to the ground.
"Does anyone else feel like your life just flashed before your eyes because that what just happened to me." Ruby exclaimed.
"Easy Ruby, we managed to get in the game and that's what matters." Blake patted the little girl on the back.
"Now, let's take a look at who our top four teams are!" Present Mic excited while Aizawa just looks on emotionless as always.
"In first place, Team Todoroki!" Present Mic announced.
"We ended in first place, but it was too close for comfort." Momo sighed as she was nervous for a moment there.
"I'm sorry, l let everyone down, didn't I?" Tenya blamed himself for almost losing the position.
"That's not true. You're the reason we won. Thank goodness for that special move of yours." Momo assured that Tenya did amazing in that.
"In second place, Team Bakugo!"
"Ugh… We were so close to first place." Mina winced.
"Yeah, sure. But we're moving on, so it's all good." Hanta believed with a grin.
"I don't think our leader would agree with you. Like at all." Eijiro pointed out as Katsuki is screaming in rage of being in second place to that icy-hot bastard.
"In third place is Team Blake!"
"Oh man, I was kind of hoping we be in first or even in second place." Yang groaned, seeing her team is right behind Katsuki's.
"It may not have gone we had planned out, but the important thing is we are able to move on to the third event which means we'll have to give this our all." Weiss stated.
"Yeah, the whole world is going to see what Team RWBY can do when it comes to battling!" Ruby excited with her fist in the air.
"You do remember it'll mostly be hand-to-hand combat, right?" Blake mentioned, causing Ruby to gulp in fear that she completely forgot about that.
"Damn it, if only I gotten that special permission before all of this." Ruby exclaimed.
"You're not the only one who feels bad." Yang sighed as she points at the sadden Izuku.
"I really wish we could've helped him get more points, he really wanted to stand out more in this festival." Yang hugged a little onto herself and thought of going over there to comfort him.
"Actually Yang, I think Izuku is going to be just fine." Blake smiled.
"What do you mean?" Yang asked.
Blake turns her head to face Yang with a smile and points up at the score board that got the yellow brawler to look up, then her mouth open of shock when she saw Izuku's team name at a certain place.
"Hey, Deku." Ochaco said walking up to him while Mei gets the broken jetpack off from Izuku.
"Guys, I'm… really sorry." Izuku apologized for losing this event for the whole team.
However, instead of being sad or a little upset, Mei and Ochaco looked at him confuse for a second the latter smiles as she and Mei points at Fumikage that confuses Izuku very much.
"I must apologize." Fumikage said.
"When Todoroki was shaken by your first attack… I tried to grab the ten-million-pint headband, but things didn't go as planned." Fumikage explained while Dark Shadow slowly raise up.
Izuku upon seeing what is in the mouth of the shadow creature.
"Still, I got one. It was around his head, where his guard was the weakest. Midoriya, you're the one who created the opening for me and ensured our advancement." Fumikage revealed that he got Dark Shadow to snatch a headband that has the number 615.
Izuku quickly done the math in his head combining the 235 points they currently had and the 615 points making them into a total of 850 points, more than enough to get him and his team into the position they have been trying to do since the start of this game.
"And in fourth place is Team Midoriya!" Present Mic announced as he's a little surprise but feel excited as well.
Hearing those words causes Izuku to slam his knees so hard on the ground that he made cracks around him, and his tears burst out like a water fountain, then he suddenly got lifted by Yang spinning and jumping around very happy.
"YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT!" Yang repeated the words.
"These four valent teams will be moving on to the final round!" Present Mic declared.
Meanwhile, Shoto is looking over to see that Izuku has managed to get himself into the final round with barely the skin of his teeth and look down at his left hand.
"(I said I'd never use this to attack. But as soon as I was overwhelmed, I broke my own promise.)" Shoto thought clutched his hand.
"At this rate, he'll win, and I'll end up exactly who he wants me to be." Shoto muttered to himself. Unknown to him, Weiss saw his expression getting a familiar feeling from herself.
"Now, let's take an hour lunch break before we start the afternoon festivities! See ya soon!" Present Mic said.
"Hey, Eraser Head, let's grab some food." Present Mic offered to have some with Aizawa.
"I'm taking a nap." Aizawa decided to sleep on it.
Most of the students started to exit the stadium to go get some food together whole congratulating on the ones who were able to move on to the final round.
"Mina, congrats." Tsuyu said.
"Thanks, but Bakugo only asked me to join because I could melt Todoroki's ice. It's not like I really helped all that much." Mina explained, not feeling like a winner entirely.
"Blake, I have to see you and your team did very well back there. Getting as many points as you can, and I was worried when you came bursting in like that." Momo complimented to cat ear girl.
"Thanks, we tried our best to get very far in this festival and probably make our way to the top." Blake smiled.
"Yes, and I hope you don't mind me saying this, but you got the most adorable cat ears I have ever seen." Momo pointed at Blake's cat ears.
"(Oh shoot, my bow must've fallen off during that last round. But I guess it doesn't matter anymore.)" Blake thought surprised and decided to just go with it.
"Iida, you were holding out on us. I had no idea you could do that!" Ochaco said running in place.
"Yeah, that was so awesome! You 'zoomed' for the win!" Yang punned.
"Rest assured it wasn't my intention to deceive you, I was just being strategic. I merely wanted to show that I could compete with Midoriya." Tenya explained.
"Well, don't forget that I'm also a speedster and I'm going to surpass that speed!" Ruby proclaimed.
"Aw, look at that, Iida. You got yourself a new rival." Ochaoc said thinking that is cute.
"Oh, speaking of which, where'd he go?" Ochaco wondered where Izuku is.
"Now that you mention it, I don't see Izuku anywhere." Yang looked around now seeing him.
"I think I saw him go with Shoto for something in private." Blake informed.
(With Izuku and Shoto)
Izuku and Shoto are standing together alone inside a tunnel close to the outside as the icy-hot guy had asked him to come with him alone.
"You brought me here, so now what?" Izuku asked.
Shoto just stare at him silence while unknown to either of the boys, Weiss is standing just outside the tunnel leaning her back against the wall and her ear open believing this is something she has to hear for herself.
"I was overwhelmed." Shoto finally talked.
"And it made me break the promise I made to myself a long time ago." Shoto mentioned.
"(Break his promise, I remember asking about his Quirk once and said that he would never use his left side." Weiss thought recalled.
"(He was serious about it even though it would have given him a big advantage back there, I guess him and Izuku must've made the fire come out.)" Weiss thought figured.
"Iida and Kaminari, Yaoyorozu and Tokoyami, Uraraka… None of them felt it. In that moment, I was the only one who could sense your true power." Shoto remembered that one moment when Izuku charged at him.
"I'm guessing Yang, Blake, Ruby, and Weiss knew about your power since you've been hanging with them the longest since they suddenly appeared at USJ." Shoto guessed.
"Huh, yeah, you could say we trained together." Izuku chuckled nervously.
"I see." Shoto nodded.
"Anyway, what I'm saying is that it reminded me of something… Experiencing All Might's Quirk." Shoto mentioned.
"Oh yeah, our Quirks are similar in a way. Is that all?" Izuku asked, feeling worried.
"(This is reminding of that private we had with All Might, but is Shoto suspecting those two are blood related somehow?)" Weiss thought wondered.
"I'm saying the power coming from you felt the same as All Might's. Tell me, Midoriya… Are you All Might's secret child or something?" Shoto asked.
"(I'm his… what?!)" Izuku thought shocked while remembering what Todoroki said back in the locker room before the start of the festival.
"(Okay, I get why he thinks that. As insane as it sounds.)" Izuku thought.
"(Yep, just as I thought.)" Weiss thought sighed while Izuku tries to tell Shoto that not it at all.
"Whatever the case maybe, if you're connected to the number one in some way… then I have even more reason to beat you." Shoto stated.
This surprise and confuse Izuku of what he is going on about wanting to beat him so badly as Weiss is being Curious of wanting to listen to this more.
"My old man is ambitious; he aims for the top." Shoto started talking about his father.
"He used his power to make a name for himself as a hero, but he was never able to best All Might, so the Symbol of Peace is living proof of his failure. He's still at it though, trying to take down All Might, one way or another." Shoto said as his tone became a little lower.
"I'm not really sure what you're getting at. What are you trying to tell me, Todoroki?" Izuku asked.
"(I think I know what he's going through.)" Weiss thought looked up at the sky, thinking of her own father.
"Have you ever heard of Quirk marriages?" Shoto asked, and Izuku express that he has no idea.
"They became a problem in the first few generations after superpowers became widespread. There were those who sought out potential mates solely with the intention of creating powerful children. Many people were forced into relationships, they were simply viewed as old-fashioned arranged marriages. But clearly, it was unethical." Shoto explained about this.
"(Hmm, I think something similar happened on Remnant years ago when they started to discover the Aura and Semblances.)" Weiss thought remembered reading about that.
"My father has not only a rich history of accomplishment, but plenty of money to throw at his problems. He brought my mother's relatives to get his hands on her Quirk, and now he's raising me to usurp All Might." Shoto revealed shocking Izuku.
"(It looks like there's another man who only cares about himself… Like my father.)" Weiss thought upset.
"It's so idiotic. I refuse to be a tool for that scumbag." Shoto angered.
"In every memory of mother… I only see her crying. I remember she called my left side unbearable, before she poured boiling water on my face." Shoto mentioned with his left hand on the left side of his face.
"The reason I picked a fight with you was to show my old man what I was capable of doing. Without having to replay on his damned fire Quirk." Shoto said looking back at Izuku.
"You see, I'm going to show him that I reject his power, and I can take first place without using it." Shoto declared.
"Then you're going to end up losing in the end." Weiss decided to show herself much to the boys' shock.
"Weiss, what are you doing here?" Izuku asked.
"So, you heard everything?" Shoto asked as well.
Unknown to the three of them, Katsuki is also listening to this and staying quiet though is also shocked that the snowflake girl is here as well.
"Yes, and I completely understand of where you're coming from with father issues. My father only married my mother for the rich family company that was started by my grandfather started and the money." Weiss mentioned.
"I may have lived in the rich, but my life was anything but a happy one when my father never gives a damn about his family and tries to make me into him." Weiss looked back at the sky.
"But I started to see things differently and how I wanted to make my family name proud, something that my father could never do but that doesn't mean I'm a coward like you." Weiss glared at Shoto.
"You're calling me a coward?" Shoto asked, then suddenly got slapped on the face hard by Weiss.
"Because you're saying such nonsense that the fire is your father's when we all know it's your power, you're the one born with it and it's through your will only to make that fire yours. It was never your fathers to begin with." Weiss stated.
"If you don't see that, then you'll just bring yourself down than going up and that attitude of yours… You're only turning yourself into your father." Weiss pointed out.
Weiss decided to leave and taking the shocked Izuku with her as she grabs his hands, leaving the shocked Shoto feeling hurt from both the words she said and the slap she gave him.

Izuku and Weiss (and Katsuki) now knows about Shoto's past along with the hatred he has toward his father, Endeavor and his goals, but Weiss gave him quite a scolding of the mistake Shoto is making in his life and sharing a bit of her own story.
