So, instead of making you all wait 2 weeks at least for an update, I decided to use my birthday to gift you all this chapter. Yes, 9/14 is my birthday. Enjoy!
Chapter 6: Where's Goldie now?
Third Person's POV
It's been a few months, more specifically 8 months, since anyone has last seen and heard from Goldie Gomelt. It was as if she had disappeared completely. Well, in a way, she had.
The phone number, for those who have not figured it out, had 2 ways to dial. 1-888-436-2426 or 1-888-Henchco.
That's right, the ad was for Hench Co. Goldie had gone very low under the radar, works part time for Hench Co. and uses their henchmen to build her a base that would fly under the radar completely thanks to her designs.
College? She finished her year and did the rest to earn a master's degree in 2 months. She turned 21 and Hench Co's leader, Mr. Hench, actually treated her to dinner and her first drink.
What was she doing during that time?
Well, she helped invent many machines, fix/improve any broken/outdated stuff, that sort of stuff. She wears the catsuit most of the time when training, working etc. She even did freelancing projects on the side, like with Ned. She was an excellent thief as well after 3 months of training.
She would wear a ninja mask that covered the hair, as well as a black ninja outfit with a yellow/gold colored belt and a type of pattern on her. Different ones, different areas, all the gold/yellow color.
As much as she loved the catsuit, she wore the ninja outfit when stealing so not to be identified nor caught. She still wore it, though.
When she had first introduced herself, she decided to change her name. Igo didn't fit her anymore, it never did, nor would she ever go with Nogo. It took her a bit to think of a new name, but she had thought of one by the time she got to the office. One that fit her speedy thinking, still kept the word Go at the end and her love of speeding.
Her new name?
Gogo.
(Pronounced Go Go.)
Gogo's POV
I was in Hench Co. right now, finishing fixing a new ice beam before it went off to Dr. Dementor, when my personal work phone rang. I sighed, stopped what I was doing then answered it.
"Go for Gogo." I said over the phone. Yes, that was my usual opening line when I answered that phone. Only a few villains had it. Also, it was both off the radar and untraceable. How do I know? I built it.
"Gogo, baby, it's Hench." I heard Hench say to me.
"Don't call me baby, I've told you this." I say with an eye roll.
"Sorry, listen. I got a client up here, but I'm busy. Can you take her to our showroom to the cheap stuff?" He asked me.
"Why can't one of your secretaries or henchmen?" I asked as I finished putting the last wire together.
"They're all busy. Please, sweetheart?" He asked me.
"Stop with the pet names." I scolded him.
"I'll pay you 2 hours extra." He tells me. I paused and thought about it.
"If I go past the two hours, you have to pay me another two." I told him.
"It's in a contract already, just sign and send back. It's coming to you now. She'll be in the display area." He tells me before hanging up. I closed the phone just as the door opened.
"Miss Gogo." I heard the top henchman say to me.
"Hey Parker, he wants me to sign?" I asked him. Parker nodded. I scanned the contract, took the pen and signed. No loopholes since he knew not to mess with me. I took a picture on my phone before nodding.
"Right, I'm heading over. Do you know who the person is?" I asked him.
"No clue, just a lady in green." He tells me.
^A lady in green? Could it be?^ I thought as I hurried. I didn't want to get my hopes up, but there was a chance. I hurried and scanned before seeing her, the lady in green, talking on the phone. I went over to her.
"No Dr. D, I'm not going to go over budget. Bye." She said before hanging up.
"Never thought we'd see each other again, Shanelle." I say quietly, calling her out by her real name. She turned to me; eyes wide at seeing me.
"Goldie?" She questioned me. I smirked at her. We were both in the same suit, different colors, though standing across from one another anyone could see we were related in some way. She smiled before we hugged.
"Ah, it's so~ good to see you." She said with a smile.
"Same to you." I added. We pulled apart and looked at each other.
"Why are you here?" She asked me.
"Well, I kinda work here. I get signed up to do contracts here. Anyways, I'm supposed to show you around." I tell her.
"Wait, you're Gogo?" She asked me.
"Yeah, cause my mind is always go, go, go as well as my bike speed." I told her with a small smile.
"Heh, you kept the go part." She told me, arms crossed as she had her hip to the side.
"So did you, Shego." I say to her.
"Fair." She says with a shrug.
"I'm told you're on a cheap budget. Why don't I show you a sneak peak of something better?" I questioned her. She raised an eyebrow.
"Something you made?" She asked me. I nodded yes.
"By all means." She said as she gestured. I motioned for her to follow me before walking off, hearing her behind me.
"So,~ what happened after I left?" She asked me. I gave her a quick rundown on everything.
"And that's how I started working here. I guess I'm considered a villain, though I do work for a few civilians and such, but that's just for money without stealing." I say with a shrug.
"You've been busy." She tells me.
"Of course I have been. I found my place, sort of. I like working with machines, engines, technology, plus the money people pay, especially villains. Woo boy, does it pay well." I told her. I then showed her a small laser I had worked on.
"It's half my design." I told her.
"Half?" She questioned.
"Hench thought of the idea but couldn't fully design it. I improved the idea and built it." I explained.
"So, uh, what does it do?" She asked me.
"In short; this little thing can cause a black out in a city the size of Anchorage, Alaska. Aka, 1,947 square miles." I tell her with a smirk.
"So?" Shego questioned.
"I also forgot to mention, not only it stays in effect for 12 hours straight but, if hooked up with a large power source, can also cause a massive earthquake to completely level that city within 2 minutes." I tell her.
"How much power?" She questioned, curious on it.
"Just hook it up to a power plant or hook it up to a lair with the proper energy source. I have it all down in this pamphlet." I told her as I handed her the pamphlet. She was reading it when Hench showed up.
"Gogo, I told you to stay in the cheap range." Hench whispered to me.
"Relax, she's my sister. I figured I'd have the family discount added and then pay for whatever she can't pay of she's interested." I tell Hench with a smirk.
"Really?" Both Hench and Shego said in unison. I then stood next to Shego.
"Of course, after all I am following in your villainous footsteps." I say with a smirk. Hench looked between us before his jaw dropped.
"Whoa, never once noticed the resemblance until now. I wondered why Gogo here looked a bit familiar." Hench said in surprise.
"Yup, she's my older sister." I say with a smile.
"Oh, that's right. I owe you two birthday gifts." She tells me.
"And I owe you one, so we'll work on that later." I tell her.
"Wow, um, ok. Well, After a family discount." Hench said as he snapped his fingers. Parker came over with a pen and paper as Hench wrote down a price then showed me and Shego.
"It's a bit higher than what Dr. D wants." Shego pondered.
"Hench, wrap it up for her with the spare pamphlet, I'll cover the rest." I say with a wink.
"Sure thing, sweetheart." Hench smiled before he walked to the door.
"Enough with the pet names, Hench." I scold him.
"You don't have to." Shego muttered.
"Chill, you're my sister. If I invented it or helped make it, look for my GG logo. You'll get a discount, and if not, call me." I say to her before pulling out a pen and writing my number on the pamphlet.
"Call me whenever you need me. Hell, call me to bust you out of jail, I'll be there." I tell her with a smile.
"You know things might not go back to the way they used to be, right?" Shego warned me.
"I know, but I can't stand not having a connection with you. We are day and night." I tell her, pointing to myself for day and her for night.
"We've always been thick as thieves, though now we could literally be like that. I won't force anything; I just miss you is all." I told her honestly. She was my friend, my only friend, so losing her was hard. Shego thought about it before smiling.
"I've missed you, too. I mean, I know we were once close, so now that we're technically on the same side again we could make it work." She said, causing me to hug her.
"I'm glad to hear that, big sis." I say happily. She hugged me back before we heard a cough. We both pulled back, Shego embarrassed for having a soft side while I was bummed we were disturbed.
"Sorry to ruin the family reunion, but whenever you're ready." Hench said as he motioned towards his office area. We went there, Shego used a card and I paid the rest in cash out of the cash Hench paid me, signed off I finished both jobs, and I walked out with Shego.
"You're done for the day?" Shego asked me.
"Yeah, I'm going to go get food before going home. You are leaving already?" I asked her.
"Yeah, but hey, how about we meet up next week for lunch?" she asked me.
"Sure, just call me to give me the details on where and when." I say with a smile.
"See ya later, Gogo." She said with a smirk before hopping in a hover craft and took off.
I waved bye before going to my bike. As soon as I hopped on it, I got a small alert on my watch. I opened it and my brown eyes lit up. I put my helmet on and zoomed off, going 185 MPH on my bike all the way back to my secret layer. It was on a special sensor that only activates for me, causing the ground to open up, showing real ground for 3 feet until you see the metal floor/roof lift to a small opening the size of a small car, closing 2 seconds after entering. I entered; the entrance closed then the lights came on as I stopped.
Inside was a clean, organized workstation. The work areas were metal with black gold plating, the floors were gold and black marble layered with enough impregnating sealers on it to stop stains from seeping in as well as preventing damage while keeping its beauty. The tools were painted black and gold, layered to not be removed. Two walls were black, but the long walls with the workstations were gold to make the black stations pop out. Anything on the black walls, shelves/decor were a gold color.
Behind one door near the entrance, left side when back is to the entrance/exit, was a bathroom, gold with a black mirror frame, sink, cabinets, etc. It was a half bath, though it had a mini stand in shower for emergency cleaning.
Through the door on the far right is the home like area. A mini living room, 3 gold walls with black decor, 1 black wall with a large flat screen TV, black leather furniture and black shag carpet over the same marble floor. The carpet was square, from under the couch, reclining chair on the side as well and gold metal and glass coffee table in the middle, all the way to the wall that had an electric fireplace. No real flames.
To the right side of the TV, same wall, was a door. Opening it led to my bedroom, black carpet, black furniture, gold walls along the black door, the right and opposite of the door, the left wall is black with a gold door leading to the master bathroom. Same marble floors, all black walls with a large in ground oval tub/jacuzzi in grooved marble, more gold than black with gold faucet, a gold stand up shower with the top being the shower top, waterproof speakers to listen to music built in, gold cabinets, marble sink and gold mirror frame that was shaped like a magic mirror from a fairy tale, futuristic gold lamps on the walls, and such.
Back to the room, the black wall had gold coins painted on it, black desk, gold chair like the one from Go Tower, black gothic bed frame and gothic style black furniture with gold silk sheets, black quilt with gold/yellow stitching, gold silk pillowcase with 2 black silk ones, then my gold coin pillow I made years ago. Black futuristic lamps hanging around my bed, a light above with a remote to control it and a gold desk lamp on my desk. To the right of two black doors, a walk-in closet. Gold with black décor.
In the living area, the door against the left wall leads to a dining area, mostly black walls with gold trimming, black Victorian style rectangle wood table with 6 chairs, 2 having arms are at the ends, with gold cushions, light gold designs on them, gold chandelier above with fake flames, floor mostly gold with black swirled marble, to the left is a mostly unused kitchen.
The kitchen has a gold oven/stove, microwave, blender, fridge, sink and other appliances, the walls were pitch black while the cabinets were ashy black, the door to the pantry on the left is gold and gold inside with black shelving. The reason why the kitchen is mostly unused is because I have yet to learn how to cook and have yet to trust a henchman to be here and cook for me. Any henchmen I hire usually works outside for me. All this might be underground, but it was, in a way, my dream home.
Back to the work area, there is an elevator that leads to a downstairs area where all my inventions, vehicles and such are stored. If you go back to the work area, everything is organized by tools, toolboxes next to them with tools organized as well, as well as which tables have hand ones, electronic ones, nuts, bolts, nails, the works. If one thing is out of place, I put it back as I try not to freak. You could swear there was an invisible line around each tool that only I could see.
In short, the whole lab is two floors 10 feet underground, about 2,000 square feet, each room being roughly 36x42.
I put the helmet down before heading to my room. I slipped into my ninja gear, adding some small but powerful weapons, before heading down to my other bike. It looked almost like my first one, yellow with black tints, super thin but powerful hover wheels and fast, except this one was all black with a thin yellow circle on each wheel and a thin yellow stripe on each side. I wore a black helmet and hurried off to my next heist I was alerted on.
I usually track certain places where I can get the best parts for anything I invent or sell to the highest bidder to make more cash. This piece, however, I've had my eyes on for months. I wasn't going to sell this piece. Oh no, this was for me and me alone. I was thankful for this bike being both fast and quiet as I sped to the location. Going at 185 mph, on and off road, followed by how far I had to, 643 miles, I was able to get there in 3.47 hours. Long, but worth it.
I arrived in the dark of night, around 8pm, as I used my watch to get a layout of the place. After 2 minutes, I confirmed where the piece I needed was and snuck to the roof. I made sure my phone was on silent before opening a vent/duct, quietly slipping in, navigating through the air vents all the way to the room I needed.
The piece?
It was a rare, high tech engine piece to make any ride faster. If I connect it with my engine, I can go from 185 MPH up to 230 Mph, giving me an extra 45 MPH.
Best part?
It won't overheat the engine at all!
See why I wanted it?
Sorry, back to my view.
I lightly dropped in the room, thankful for no floor sensors, as I used a smoke spray. I navigated through the lasers with ease until I was right there at the piece, getting ready to use the mirror gadget, which is 4 mirrors, and it moves to move the lasers around to form an opening the shape of a diamond, when there was a loud crash.
I looked over and saw a beefy guy, wearing a pale blue top with ripped sleeves, charcoal pants and boots, tan skin and a tattoo on his upper right arm that said 'ED' on it, with long bleach blonde hair. He wore a red helmet and was on a red motorcycle, doing a spinning wheelie before landing. He took off his helmet, revealing he had a somewhat awful mullet, brown eyebrows and a brown mustache that reminded me of Hulk Hogan. I noticed he wore black gloves and a black belt as well.
"Aaaaah~ Yeah!~" He cried out, doing an air guitar. This made me cringe.
^Oh damn, a real-life redneck.^ I thought bitterly to myself. He then noticed me.
"Yo, back away from there. Seriously, like, that's mine bro. Seriously." He tells me, causing me to roll my eyes over his vocabulary. I used my hand to to make a shooing motion towards him before I went to use my gadget.
"I mean it!" He yelled as he stepped on a laser. Then the sirens went off. I was pissed now.
^Screw it.^ I thought as I reached in and grabbed the piece before running. The guy hopped on his bike and cut me off.
"Bro, give me that piece. Seriously, like, I need it. Seriously." He tells me. I jumped up, used one hand to land on his shoulder, then propelled off, doing a flip, before landing and running to my ride. The guy rode and nearly caught me, but I avoided him.
"Give it! Seriously!" He yelled, acting like a child throwing a tantrum. I made it to my bike as security found both of us.
"Motor Ed and a ninja! Call the police!" One yelled. I tossed a smoke bomb at them, filled with sleeping gas, causing them to pass out as I rode off. I was only going 90 when 'Motor Ed' caught up to me. I had no time to put on my helmet either.
"Give it, now! Seriously!" He yelled as he tried to take the piece from my hand.
I shoved it in my ninja top, securing it in my bra, shivered from the cold metal before glaring at him. He growled and went to reach for me, but I swerved to get behind him. He turned just as I went past him, except he managed to pull my mask off. He looked back and saw my gold curls as I looked at him. My face mask was still up, happy to be separate from the hood, to see his wide eyes. He then turned by popping a wheelie and followed me.
"Yo, you got cool hair, dude! Like, seriously! Except it makes you look like a chick!" He yelled over his engine. I then snatched my mask back.
"I am a chick, 'dude'!" I said, mimicking his tone when I said dude. That caught him off guard a bit, then he started looking over my body. My outfit couldn't reveal my curves at all. I moved and smacked him, causing him to cry out.
"You want the piece? Catch me first!" I challenged before speeding up. I heard him howl and make an air guitar sound as he tried his best to keep up. I let him get close as I put my helmet on. He did the same.
"Can you hear me?" I asked, hoping to have the right frequency to his helmet.
"Yeah, bra, I can." He tells me, causing me to roll my eyes.
"As fun as this is, you won't catch me. So, later gator." I say before activating full speed. In a blur, I was out of sight.
It took a while to get back, but I made it back at 1 am. I shook my head after taking my helmet off before going into thought.
^Motor Ed. I wonder if there's a villain file on him.^ I thought as I took out that new piece, which looked a mix of a sonic screwdriver from the 4th Doctor Who and holoprojector holocommunicator combined, on the worktable before heading to my room. I'd work on the bike tomorrow, but before sleep I decided to look up Motor Ed. I looked him up and was surprised with what I found.
"Motor Ed, original name Eddie, was once a mechanical engineer. He was one of the best in the world but had quit due to conflicts in the workplace. If wondering, it was because of his mullet. He loves his hair and never cuts it. Used to work in a government facility. His interests are making rides, making fast and/or destructive rides, driving fast rides and not caring if personal property, that's not his or his crews', gets destroyed. He owns a few monster trucks and one motorcycle that he deems 'his baby' since he built it from scratch. Don't be fooled by his vocabulary, he is very smart." I read out loud.
"Huh, who would've thought." I say with a shrug.
^So, he's actually very smart. Hm… Sounds like a perfect opponent for me, a good challenge.^ I thought before I smirked.
"Well then, Motor Ed, let the games begin." I say with a chuckle before closing my laptop.
Motor Ed's POV
I couldn't believe it!
One minute, I was catching up to her, the next...
Poof.
Gone!
Seriously, she was so~ fast. I was in shock before I gave off a type of howl.
"Damn, I need that ride!" I yelled out before speeding off to the junk yard.
Yeah, I lost the piece I needed, but I now had a new goal. Beat that Golden Speed Demon in a race and out steal her. Seriously. Only, like, one problem…
I, like, never got her name. Seriously.
