Chapter 2: Town Shrouded in Masked Shadows. (2/4)
Ellie:
After what was possibly, the worst movie session she ever had. Ellie accompanied Joel and Maria alongside Jesse and Dina to question him about what they saw on those disturbing footage in his camera. Upon arrival, they caught Cedric yelling at him over the so called panties that he stole.
Although they were there to question Fox Boy. Maria decided to first, chastise Cedric for filling a safe post with pornography and for stealing underwear from the woman around Jackson. She did it privately on one of the rooms, but they could hear her yelling at him.
Joel left to grab something for Fox Boy to eat, as according to him, he was no use for them if he passed out from hunger.
Which left Jesse,Dina and Ellie alone with him. And honestly, he disturbed Ellie. Dina and Jesse strangely weren't disturbed by him, she understood why Jesse was so calm since the two actually spent the night together, but why was Dina so calm around him. Her arm still hurted and that was probably why she was somewhat disturbed by him, since he caused the fracture.
Fox Boy, who was sitting on top of the bed just staring at the wall. Ellie was able to finally take a good look at him. His outfit looked worn-out and it was clear that he hasn't changed his clothes in a while but his clothes didn't really smell bad. She also noticed two extra details in his outfit. He was wearing two different colored winter gloves in each hand, on his left there was a blue glove and on his right there was a red one. There was something written on the back of his coat in the color white.
Spero in coelum ire, vel etiam ad inferos, quia putrida in hac terra odi.
But Ellie couldn't understand it.
Fox Boy then removed the hood of his coat, which revealed his hair, which he scratched a bit. His hair appeared white, but looking closely, it was more of a very bright blond. His haircut was wavy and very short, but Ellie can actually tell that his head was actually shaved not long ago and his hair was just regrowing.
As Ellie observed him, they all just stood there in silence, waiting for Joel and Maria to come back.
Until...
"So, why do you wear that mask?" That question came from Dina, who clearly was curious about it.
Ellie was about to ask her to not talk to him, but he replied before she could.
"They put it on my face and told me to never take it off." He answered her in a soft voice and strange accent.
"You mean, the other ones with the masks." Jesse decided to join in.
Fox Boy just nodded at him. "This mask used to belong to someone else, but I can't remember who..." He stood up from the bed that he was sitting down. As he stood up, Ellie noticed that he had a terrible posture, with his back relatively hunched, giving him a very defeated look. He approached the bars with his strange robotic walk. Once he was close enough though, Ellie noticed that he's the shortest one of them, appearing to be even shorter than Dina. But that's probably because of his bad posture.
"So... In that, video, you got on your camera... What was that thing that the woman with the doll mask was covering you in it." Dina decided to ask, as she was very curious about that.
"You mean Venus?" Fox Boy asked and Dina nodded as they did heard him calling her Venus in the footage. "I don't know what it is." He answered to her.
"Wasn't it paint or something?" Jesse was also curious.
"No..." Fox Boy replied.
"But, why did she covered you in that..." Dina was asking him but then she paused before continuing. "What, was that thing that tossed you on the footage?" She decided to ask, as both Ellie and Jesse also wanted to know.
"Oh... It was just one Venus's creations, as Reaper calls it." Reaper was the last guy they saw. "That thing she covered me with keeps it from attacking me, but I stepped on one of it's arms by accident.."
That however caused Ellie, Dina and Jesse to look at one another in surprise. With Ellie having a urge to ask what the hell does he means by one of it's arms. "Wait?" Jesse asked something first though. "That thing that tossed you, was a infected right?"
Fox Boy just nodded.
"You telling me that, that thing that the creepy woman covered you with, keeps the infected from attacking you?" Jesse was clearly skeptical about that.
"Yes." He bluntly replied to Jesse.
"You're bullshitting us!" Ellie decided to yell as there was no way such a thing exists.
"Wouldn't I have to be a bull to do that?" He asked them in confusion, clearly not understand what bullshit means.
"She means, you're lying to us, right?" Dina decided to clarify to him.
"No..." He shaked his head.
"Then why the hell aren't you covered in that thing then?" Jesse asked him.
"It smells bad." He replied casually, apparently not understanding what was so special about it.
"How bad?" Dina asked, but Ellie doesn't understand why that matters.
"Very bad." The Albino boy replied to her girlfriend's question. "Who are you?" He asked Dina.
"Huh?" Dina was surprised.
"He's Jesse." He pointed at Jesse. "She's Ellie." He pointed at Ellie, but Ellie was surprised because she didn't know how he found out what was her name. "But I don't know who you are?"
"Oh, my name is Dina." She introduced herself to him.
"Hi Dina." He waved at her. "I'm Fox Boy."
Dina smiled and waved back. "Hi Fox Boy."
Ellie really couldn't understand how Dina does that. She had this strange facility to befriend other people. Which was one of the things she liked about her. But the guy in the mask still creeps her out.
Suddenly, however, they heard the entrance door opening. Turning around, they noticed that Joel came back with a plate and a cup of water in hand.
"Hey, what are you kids doing?" Joel asked as he approached them.
"Asking questions." Jesse answered.
Joel then approached the cell. "Step away from the door." He ordered Fox Boy, who obeyed and took a few steps back. Joel handed the plate for Jesse to hold in order for him to unlock the cell.
Once it was unlocked, Joel placed the plate and the cup of water on the floor. In the plate there were baked beans on it, which smelled nice. Who made those? Ellie asked herself. Joel then retreated and locked the cell door once again.
Fox Boy however, just stared at the plate, seemingly confused.
A small pause ensured, until Dina broke it. "It's for you," She said to him. "You can eat it."
Fox Boy then stare at Dina, with the mask making it impossible to know what expression he's making it. He then moves and sits in front of the plate. "Thanks for the food." He thanked them before he slightly lifted his mask until above his lips, still covering his nose. Giving them a decent sight of the lower half of his face.
Fox Boy had a smooth and hairless face, she can't see a single hair in his jaw or chin, though she can't tell if he has any hair above it. He had a defined jawline, his lips were thin and seemed to be really dry. To Ellie's and everyone else's surprise, once grabbed the spoon and opened his mouth to eat, they noticed that his teeth were sharp, just like those kids in the footage. Was he... One of those kids before he...
Once he chewed the beans and swallowed. He let out a childish looking smile with his lips closed, showing that he actually had dimples, before he eat another spoonful.
"He has a really adorable smile." Dina whispered to her.
"Are you serious?" Ellie didn't saw anything adorable in it. It actually made him look even creepier.
Before Dina could reply, they heard the door of the room where Maria and Cedric were. "YOU WILL GO TO EACH GIRL YOU STOLE FROM AND TELL THEM WHAT YOU BEEN DOING, AND I DON'T CARE IF THEY BEAT YOU UP, CHAD AND BOONIE MIGHT STILL HE ALIVE IF YOU WEREN'T SCREWING AROUND DURING YOUR PATROLS!" Maria yelled at him really loud, but Ellie didn't really feel any sympathy for him. According to Jesse, there were a lot of infected in the area that Cedric is in charge of patrolling which indicates that he wasn't doing his job properly. "NOW OUT OF MY SIGHT!" Ellie actually felt bad for Maria, as she was the one that had to break the bad news for Chad and Bonnie's relatives when they on their way there.
Cedric walked away, clearly ashamed... Or just buttburt that he got caught, Ellie didn't know for certain. "Bye Cedric." Surprisingly, Fox Boy decided to say goodbye to him while smiling and waving.
"Fuck off you freaking weirdo!" Cedric yelled at Fox Boy. Who was technically the reason why he got caught, which confirms Ellie's suspicion.
"How about you fuck off you freaking pervert." Dina quickly rebuffed angrily to Cedric, which reminded her that one of the panties he stole was Dina's.
"And be thankful that I ain't telling everyone that Chad and Bonnie are dead because were screwing around during your patrol you perverted asshole." Jesse sounded really angry and he seemed to be restraining himself to not charge at Cedric.
Cedric just looked at them angrily before he stormed off.
"Asshole." It was Ellie's single opinion about Cedric.
Joel then turned his head to look at Maria. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"Not much, but I don't think any of us is okay at moment." She replied.
"Understatement of the year." Ellie couldn't help but comment. Joel touched her shoulder gently in response.
But all of their attention then turned back to the Albino boy that was sitting inside the cell eating beans. They all observed him as he sat there eating in silence. He doesn't look so intimidating up close, but he still pretty creepy. And he may not look so dangerous but those guys he killed in the footage say the opposite. Ellie thought as she observed him. Why do they wear those masks though? That was the thing that she was most curious about.
"Is Fox Boy really your name?" That question came from Dina.
"I think so, all they ever called me was Fox Boy." He replied, not taking his eyes off the plate, before eating another spoon.
"By they, you mean your people?" Maria asked, but the answer was pretty obvious.
Fox Boy chewed his food before swallowing. Then he turned his head to face them. "Who are you?" He asked her the exact same way he asked Dina earlier.
"This is Maria." But Dina decided to introduce her first.
Fox Boy then gave the same childish smile from earlier and waved at Maria. "Hi Maria." He said to her. "I'm Fox Boy." He did the exact same introduction that he gave Dina.
"Hi..." Maria was clearly confused and she awkwardly waved at him in response.
Dina gave a low giggle, probably thinking it was cute.
"Hey, I been meaning to ask..." Jesse then spoke up. "How old are you, Fox Boy?"
He stopped smiling then he looked at his fingers and apparently started to count on them. They all stared at him as he counted on his fingers, waiting for his answer. "I'm six thousand, five hundred fifty-nine days old." He told them casually before he went back to eat the beans.
What the fuck? Did he count all of that on his fingers? It was Ellie's reaction. Couldn't he just give how many years old he is? She thought in annoyance as the others also seemed confused as none them seemed to know how many of the days he said are equivalents in years.
They all actually struggled to figure out. Until Maria spoke up to them. "He's seventeen years old."
That surprised all of them. Well, mostly Ellie and Dina because Jesse and Joel already suspected.
Soon enough, Fox Boy finished his plate and pull his mask back down. He placed the spoon besides the plate and stood up. "Thanks once again for the food." He gave them a bow before he walked towards and literally sat in the exact same position and once again stared at the wall.
"Why is this guy so fucking weird?" Ellie asked.
"You saw those videos Ellie." Joel replied with his arms folded.
"And I have feeling that he went through much worse than what we saw, considering the scars." Jesse added as he leaned on the wall.
"Either way, we can't trust him." Maria decided to input. "He's clearly dangerous and we're probably under the aim of his people." She added, as she has been worried since she saw the numbers that Fox Boy's group has.
"Speaking of his people..." Jesse spoke. "According to him, that thing that the creepy woman with the doll mask was covering him with... Actually keeps the infected from attacking."
Joel and Maria looked at each other in pure disbelief. "Okay, he has to be lying, there's no way such a thing exist." Joel was quick to assume that.
"Umm... I don't think he even knows how to lie." Dina pointed out.
"Yeah, I have to agree with Dina on that." Jesse told him as well. "If it actually does that or not, I can't tell but... I really don't think he was lying."
Ellie then moved her head to look at Fox Boy once again.
Fox Boy:
Mission: Prepare the ground for the invasion. FAILED
Mission: In case of capture, activate Jester's device and await for the arrival. ACCOMPLISHED
Mission accomplished, now I only have to wait.
Fox Boy though as he sat tight on the bed of the cell. He could hear Jesse, Ellie, Dina, Joel and Maria speaking but he didn't care about the conversation. The beans were tasty. He thought as he really savoured his food.
"Hey, Fox Boy." He heard someone calling his name, which turned out to be Dina. She's so pretty. He thought as he looked at her. "What... Did that..." She seemed to be trying to ask him a question. "Big guy with the armor..." She means Ghost Head. "Did with that girl on the footage?"
The others seemed surprised by her question. Which Fox Boy just answered bluntly. "He tossed her on the floor and stomped on her head until it was completely smashed." He spoke casually, but all of them looked disturbed by what he said.
"What kind of armor was that?" Maria asked him.
"Bulletproof armor." He pointed out.
"No shit." Ellie rebuffed. "Does everyone in your group have that?"
"Not the same kind as Ghost Head's, but yes." Saying that however, caused all of them to look at one another in surprise.
"Ummm..." Jesse seemed to wanna ask him something. "Why aren't you wearing one then?"
"Reaper said that I would be useless with it because I don't have the strength to wear it." The armors are quite heavy.
The five then started to whisper to one another in a volume that Fox Boy couldn't hear. The Albino boy just faced the wall once again and waited. Jester is probably finishing the repairs now, but I don't know if making the drop is a good strategy. Especially if they gonna use sharp ones. They're way more difficult to contain in comparison to the others.
"Hey." Fox Boy moved his head once again to face the group. "Those kids, from the footage, who were they?" Jesse asked him.
"Jester's sons." Fox Boy replied, they all widened their eyes in response for some reason. "A,E,I,O and U." He added.
"What?" Jesse didn't understood.
"Those are their names, A,E,I,O and U." I hope they are been feed right now, but Jester usually forgets about them when he's working.
They just stared at him with strange looking faces. Until one of them asked a different question. "What... Exactly were you talking about?" Joel asked. "You and Jester, I mean."
"I just went there to tell him that Reaper wanted him to make more White Phosphorus." Fox Boy informed him.
"What?!" Joel was surprised by what Fox Boy just told him.
"You got to fucking kidding me?" Jesse added.
Maria just put her hands on her hips and walked around a bit.
"Umm... What exactly is White Phosphorus?" Ellie asked in confusion to them.
"A toxic substance produced from phosphate-containing rocks." Fox Boy explained. "It exists as molecules made up of four atoms in a tetrahedral structure. The tetrahedral arrangement results in ring strain and instability. The molecule is described as consisting of six single P–P bonds. Two crystalline forms are known. The α form is defined as the-" While he was giving a more detailed explanation to Ellie about what was it, he ended up being interrupted.
"Okay!" She said to him. "But what does it do to a person?"
"Exposure to it can cause burns and irritation, liver, kidney, heart, lung, or bone damage, and death." Jesse decided to answer. "I read about on a book once."
"Tommy and I once saw some soldiers trying to use it on the infected, I didn't stick around to see what it did to the infected but I saw what it did to some people that got exposed to it by accident." Joel explained. "Let me tell you, it wasn't pretty."
"Tommy told me about that, he used to have nightmares about it." Maria added.
"Oh, don't worry." Suddenly, Fox Boy called their attention. "They definitely won't waste it on you guys."
"How do you know?" Jesse asked him.
"This place is only level two," He answered him. "They only use it for level three or above."
"Level two and three?" Ellie asked him and everyone were making strange faces.
"Like in a video game or something?" Dina asked him.
"I had video game once, but it broke." A PlayStation Portable was the name, how he missed playing the games.
"Oh, how did it broke?" Dina asked him, and everyone looked at her with a strange look on their faces.
"I fell on it." Fox Boy looks down sadly. I fell on my sword too, but at least it didn't broke, thankfully the blade didn't pierced through my liver.
Ellie:
"Why the hell are you asking about a video game?" Ellie whispered to ask her girlfriend in confusion.
"Because I'm curious, and because I happen to like videogames." Dina answers her girlfriend. "And so does you, like when you spent three whole nights playing that game about a bandicoot."
"Yeah, but this is-" When Ellie was about to reply however, Jesse spoke up.
"What exactly does level two means," Jesse asked the masked boy. "Is it supposed to be level of danger of something like that?"
Both Ellie and Dina moved their heads to look at Fox Boy. Who just nodded in response to what Jesse said.
"Umm..." Dina was the one that spoke. "How many levels are there?" She asked.
Fox Boy then raised his hand opened, putting his five fingers on display. Revealing that there are five levels. Which surprised Ellie, because they were considered level two.
"What exactly defines this levels?" Joel questioned him.
"Defenses, numbers, difficulty of infiltration, resources, combat capabilities and a few other things that I don't really know what it means." Fox Boy answered his question while he scratched his head.
"And, mind explaining to us why we are level two?" Ellie asked as she was still curious about their low number.
"Your defenses are pretty mediocre." He bluntly informed them. "Anyone could get pass it with a aerial vehicle or a demolition one." Wait, why is he mentioning that? Do they have these type of things? "Sneaking inside also isn't a difficult task, I found three different entrances when I came inside for the first time."
That however surprised everyone. "Wait?" Jesse was the one that decided to ask. "You came in here before?"
"Yes, I even borrowed a book from that old man." Fox Boy replied. "I think his name is Seth."
Ellie was visibly annoyed by the mention of him. Seth was a old man, who runs one of the local bars and helps cook food in the kitchen from time to time. Ellie detests the guy because he made some really disgusting comment about her and Dina once that Ellie never forgot about it.
"Borrowed?" Maria instantly asked for some clarification.
"He kept calling me, Nico and saying sorry, but I don't know what he was apologizing for." Fox Boy explained. "I asked him if I could borrow the book that he was reading and he said yes, then he hugged me." He looked down a bit. "It was nice."
Ellie instantly looked at the others, very confused with what she just heard. Maria however, seemed to be bothered by what he said.
"Who's Nico?" Joel asked Maria.
"Nico was Seth's youngest son." Maria revealed to them. "I don't know the details but, Seth's wife and three sons died before he came to Jackson."
"Oh..." Dina clearly felt bad with that.
"Sometimes," Jesse called their attention. "Seth drinks alone at the bar at night, he may have drunk to the point where, he mistook Fox Boy with his son."
"Shit..." Ellie didn't like Seth at all, but hearing that was really upsetting for her.
"This entrances that you got in, where are they?" Joel asked, probably so he can go there and make sure no one sneaked through it again.
" One through a place filled with clothes, one through a place that smelled like cookies and the last one was..." He looked up, apparently trying to remember something. "I don't know what it was supposed to be, but there was two people having intercourse there." Everyone shifted a little awkwardly when he said intercourse. Which definitely meant sex. Fox Boy then looked at them for a bit, especially Jesse. "Now that I think of it, it was you having intercourse with a girl, Jesse."
That, of course, surprised everyone. Especially Jesse, though Dina seemed to be the second most surprised about that. Ellie shared some of that surprise as she never saw Jesse with any other girl since Dina and him broke up.
"Y-you probably mistook me with somebody else man." Jesse tried to deny it.
"No, you were wearing a gray T-shirt and saying "I love you" to the girl over and over and over again, though, I couldn't see the girl's face." Fox Boy informed them, apparently not seeing anything weird about spying on people having sex.
Though, Ellie was now curious about who was that girl that Fox Boy saw Jesse with. She looked at Dina , who just looked away awkwardly after hearing what the albino boy said. Ellie was about to ask her what was wrong, but Joel spoke first.
"Jesse, you come with me and show me where exaxtly is this place that he saw you." Joel ordered Jesse as they have to close this entrances that Fox Boy found.
"Umm... I-I don't think it'-" Jesse awkwardly tried to speak against it but.
"Just go, we'll... Handle the rest of the questions." Dina awkwardly assured Jesse. "Besides, you're the only one that knows where it is." She spoke that last part with a very strange tone of voice that Ellie couldn't help but notice.
"Ummm... O-okay." Jesse finally agreed.
Joel then approached Maria. "We gonna have to warn everyone about this, we need prepare ourselves." He informed her.
Maria stared at Joel for bit, obviously contemplating what he just said to her. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, before she approached the cell. "One last question." She told Fox Boy. "How long do we have until your people get here?"
That was the question that everyone wanted to know. As they needed to know when to expect the attack.
Fox Boy just looked at the ceiling in response. All that they could do, was stare at him awaiting an answer. The creepy masked boy then reached his boot and removed the left one. Revealing a yellow sock, once he removed the sock, it revealed that his left foot. Which to Ellie's and everyone else's shock, three of his toes were missing. Before they could ask him what he was doing, he pulled something out of his sock. It was strange looking device that Ellie never saw before. It had a red light on it that was blinking in a very strange pattern. The albino boy stared at it for a few seconds until he finally spoke. "Oh, that man probably mistook the information."
"You mean that guy that was with you?" Joel asked him, he did told her that he shot a guy that Fox Boy was traveling with.
Fox Boy nodded in response. "He said that the invasion would occur in a few days, but he was probably being lied to by the supreme leader." He told them, making them wonder who this supreme leader was. "What a shame."
They all stared at him before speaking. "What is a shame?" Maria asked, clearly curious by that.
"I actually enjoyed spending time with all of you, but it will come to a end sooner that I would have liked." He replied while looking down sadly.
Everyone looked at one another frightened by what he said. "W-what the fuck is that supposed to mean?" Ellie was the one that decided to ask.
Fox Boy then turned his head and stared at them for nearly half a minute until he finally answered Ellie's question.
"They already arrived, they gonna attack at any second now."
Thanks everyone for reading my story.
Questions and Answers:
Watching the videos, Maria, Joel, Tommy, Ellie, Dina and Jesse now know Fox Boy's story, or at least part of it. Now the next step is to talk to Fox Boy himself, they've seen him and met him except for Maria but have yet to talk to him, with the exception of Jesse on that department.
His best buddies are likely going to Ellie, Dina and Jesse. Jesse has already begun to warm up to him, won't be hard for Dina to follow but Ellie... more so.
Fox Boy is probably going to be in the cell for a couple of days. He might be allowed out, and possibly the chance to join Jackson... on the start of a probationary basis.
Jesse will be Fox Boy's best friend
Dina will act like a big sister.
Ellie... She will still find him creepy for a while.
More like a couple of hours in that cell.
First of all, I really like your writing, thank you.
- You can describe the incident with the camcorder well. I understand the uncomfortable situation. It's like watching a video roll with snuff film saved. It was a very nauseous situation. Fox cubs are full of perverts and sadists. This group was much worse than I thought. They have better manpower and equipment. Reminds me of The Purge, but also a version with a psycho killer.
-I like the innocence of the little fox. He was an innocent young man. but was brought up wrong
If we didn't meet today good afternoon good evening and good evening too
You're welcome.
That was what I was aiming for. The Normandies aren't just psychos, they're a like a group modern Spartans, if that makes any sense.
Part of me likes to consider Fox Boy as a worse case scenario for what someone born in that type of world would have turn out. He's not a bad person but his entire life is PTSD material. His childish behavior is kind of a coping mechanism to a certain degree.
I just love getting to know more about fox boy. out of the languages you used I only recognised Italian and Japanese, and Italian was be cause he used dispiace which I have heard enough from Ezio from AC to recognise it anywhere. also, I'm afraid to know what ghost head did with that woman he took but I think I know and I hope I'm wrong. one last thing, if you don't mind me asking, do you use a translator app for other languages you use or did you ask someone who knew how to speak them?
I speak a bit of Italian, the rest was a translator.
The languages each of them used.
Jester: French
Ghost Head: Russian
Venus: German
Reaper: Japanese
Fox Boy: Italian
Could we maybe get a preview of a romantic moment between Fox Boy with either Ellie or Dina?
Hmm... I don't know about romantic but, I hope this will satisfy you
{
All that Fox Boy could do, was wait until the rain stopped. The loud noise coming through the window was bothering him, but he endured as there was nothing to be done. He kept on sewing the wound on his leg, luckily, the cut wasn't deep and it was easy to sew it.
Suddenly, he heard the door of the room that he was in opening and saw Dina.
"Hey..." She greeted him awkwardly and slowly approached the couch that he was sitting on top of it. "You should hang your clothes, otherwise they won't dry." She informed him as he put his wet clothes on the floor.
"Sorry..." Fox Boy spoke as he focused on stitching his wound. But they just gonna get wet again, so what's the point?
Dina sighed before she grabbed his clothes and moved to hang them on the bathroom.
"Where are the others?" He asked her. I don't like them, they're mean and that girl keeps staring at me.
"Downstairs," She spoke as she hanged his pants on the shower curtain. "Two of them tried to hit on me, so I just came here."
He instantly moved his head up in response. "They tried to hit you?!" He was about to go downstairs to hurt whoever tried to hit her but...
"No!" Dina quickly spoke in response. "Trying to hit on someone... Means that they tried to flirt with me." She clarified, but the albino boy didn't understood.
"Ummm... What exactly does "flirt" means?" He asked in confusion as he adjusted his mask.
"Well..." She hanged his sweater while trying to come up with a answer. "It's when... You express to someone that you're interested in them... Romantically or... Sexually."
"Oh..." The boy with messy wavy hair understood. "Like when I asked if Ellie and I were a couple?" I didn't understood her explanation though.
Dina then hanged his Duffle Coat, but she seemed a little bothered by that question. "N-no, that... was a question, n-not flirting." She awkwardly clarified to him, before she hanged his socks.
"Okay..." The albino boy then looked down at his injury and finished stitching his leg. Once it was done, he searched the room for the bandages. Only to see it on the table at the other side of the room.
Thankfully, Dina grabbed for him as she left the bathroom and approached him. "Let me," She kneeled in front of him. "You gonna have to take it easy." She informed him as she wrapped his very pale skinny leg.
"I don't think that's an option, we might have to deal with a incoming assaul-" Fox Boy tried to inform her.
"I don't care." Dina interrupted him. "You gonna take it easy, and that's final, otherwise Jesse and Ellie are going to kill me." She stated as she finished wrapping his leg with bandage.
"They won't kill you, Jesse and Ellie love you." He stated.
Dina sadly look up to the masked boy. "I don't think Ellie loves me anymore and I don't... love Jesse the way he loves me, I just wish that I figured that out sooner." She told him with a sad expression on her face, but it disappeared right away. "But they really, really like you, and so do I." She added with a smile.
Fox Boy didn't really understood what she meant about Ellie and Jesse.
"There, all fixed." Dina then finished putting the bandages on him.
The albino boy then inspected the bandages, and saw that she did a perfect job in bandaging his leg. "Thanks." He told her with a big smile, that she couldn't see because of the mask.
Dina smiled back before she sat next to him. But then she checked him from head to toes. "Aren't you cold?" She asked as he was only wearing blue boxers and his mask.
"No..." He shakes his head as he responded her. Then he leaned on the couch and stared at the window for a bit, watching the rain drops on the glass. A minute or two passed by in silence with the boy in blue boxers staring at the rain.
Until he moved his head to look at Dina, who was sitting next to him, hugging her legs on top of the couch. He noticed that she took her shoes off. "How..." Suddenly, she tried to ask him something. "How did happened?" She asked. "With you and Ellie, I mean?"
"What do you mean?" He didn't understood.
"I mean..., when you... Asked if.., the two of you were a..." She was having a hard time saying it. "Couple, you said that... You two kissed and stuff."
"Oh, she was really sad about something and started to drink a bottle of a alcoholic substance, then she asked me to dance with her and then she kissed me, but I didn't like it." He decided to explain to her in detail.
Dina then looked at him with a strange face. "You didn't like it?" He shaked his head in response. "Why not?" She asked him.
"Her breath smelled really bad, before and after she vomited inside my mouth." It was very disgusting, the taste of it was horrible.
Saying that however, caused Dina to burst into laughter. "S-seriously?!" She asked him with difficulty as she tried to contain her laughter. But to no avail.
"Yes," He confirmed and she laughed harder. "Are you supposed to do that when you kiss someone?" He asked in confusion, because he really doesn't want to do it.
"Hahahahaha, N-no, Hahahaha!" Dina kept on laughing, making him even more confused.
As she laughed however, the albino boy kept on looking at her, her lips to be more precise. Part of him is still curious about kissing, Ellie wouldn't do it again after what happened between the two of them, so he was left confused. As Dina laughed, Fox Boy had a strange urge, an strange urge that he didn't know how to describe it. I... Want to... Try again... Should I ask first or...Just do it like Ellie did? He thought about it as he watched Dina laugh. Strangely and almost instinctively, he moved his mask up as he always does for eating.
"Oh god..." Dina was wiping tears from her eyes, from laughing so hard. "Hahaha..., Okay... Oh god..." She laughed a bit more before she finally stopped, before she turned her head to face him. "Listen, don't worry ab-"
Without any type of warning or even a sound, the moment that Dina turned her head to face the masked boy, she was surprised by him, suddenly approaching his face and pressing his lips into her just like Ellie did to him. Fox Boy didn't know what he was doing, his body simply moved on it's own. Their lips were connecting and it was very plesant, which was probably what kiss supposed to feel like, not that it wasn't pleasant with Ellie, despite her disgusting breath and vomit. Him and Dina stayed like that for a few seconds. But then however, Fox Boy came to his senses , and pulled back.
"I... I'm so-sorry." The moment he pulled back, he apologized to Dina instantly before pulling his mask down again.
"Wh-what was that?" Dina asked in confusion with her eyes widened.
"I-I...I don't know," He sincerely didn't. "My b-body just moved on it's own, like when I'm fighting someone, but we were not f-fighting or anything, b-but I don't understand why, I-I-I..." Fox Boy desperately tried to explain himself but he just kept stuttering and saying things that made no sense.
"Hey,hey," Dina instantly reacted to his confusion. "It's okay." She reassured him before she touched his shoulder. "Take a deep breath and chill out."
