Welcome to the next chapter of RWBY: Team DUSK, before starting the story. Let's answer some reviews:

The Heiress' Date

Several days later, inside of the bedroom belonging to the members of Team RWBY, it was still a couple of hours before either of them would wake up for classes. Their room was made in such a fashion where it could be called out of order, most of their belongings and additional luggage were situated near their beds, which similar to Team DUSK was set up into bunk beds.

Weiss' bed was situated on the ground beside her hung-up paintings on the left side and her luggage. Ruby's bed was right above hers, hung up using a series of ropes attached to the ceiling with a red blanket that acted as a makeshift tent for her. Blakes' bed was also situated on the ground beside a bookshelf filled with her books. Finally, right above her head was Yang's bed, which was suspended up using some of Blake's books placed on top of her bedposts, while being underneath her partner's bedposts as a poster of a band was beside her bed.

Although it wasn't the best setup for bunk beds, all of them loved it either way since it was something that all of them did together for the first time. In the bed belonging to the Schnee Heiress, Weiss was sleeping peacefully in her bed reliving a certain meeting, which she had with a certain person.

During one of the social events where almost all Atlas' upper class would all gather together under the same roof to converse and mingle with one another. Not that Weiss could care much about most of them since it was nearly the same each time. This social event similar to all others were where the Schnee Family would be at the center of attention with people wanting to be in her father's, the patriarch's good graces.

And Weiss as the potential heiress would be the target of praise, more so after performing a musical number on the piano or singing, which were always performed above their standards. Afterward, the praises she'd received would increase all the more as she could hear comments of potential suitors from their children or grandchildren from their parents or grandfathers discussing it with her father.

She had been trained and taught even from this age to be courteous and not to slander the Schnee name, which was the reason that she smiled each time she received praise. But, on the inside, she was almost becoming tired of hearing the same thing.

"It's the same thing every time these people," Weiss sighed in her head instead of out loud. "There's no one here who isn't intending of getting into the Schnee's good graces by even showering me in praise."

Despite being seven years old, it was something that she soon started to realize the intentions of the adults around her or her older sister.

"Weiss."

Weiss heard her mother, Willow Schnee, a woman to who she and her sister bears a striking resemblance to calling her as she walked beside her.

"Yes, mother?"

"Come along, there's someone that I'd like you to become acquainted with."

Weiss heard the gentle request from her mother as she held onto her hand.

"Do you know about the Norden Family, Weiss?"

"Yes, I believe they're a family who has been close to ours for a long time."

"That's right. One of them has a son who's the same age as yourself," Willow smiled as she looked down at her daughter. "Your grandfather and his were good friends in the past, so I believe that the two of you would become good friends with one another."

"Okay."

Weiss said those words, but on the inside, she wasn't so sure about becoming friends.

Willow led her youngest daughter to an area where the people weren't gathered together in groups. There Weiss saw a beautiful woman with silver hair and matching silver eyes. Standing beside her was, in fact, a boy who was the same age as herself with black hair and silver eyes dressed in formal wear.

"My what an adorable daughter you have Willow."

The boy's mother said in a gentle tone.

"Thank you, Natalia. And I must say that you're boy is a cutie himself."

"I know, right. He's going to grow into such a lady killer when he grows up."

Natalia said ruffling the boy's head who seemed embarrassed about the entire thing.

"Mom."

"Well, why don't we leave these two to talk in peace?"

"That sounds like an excellent idea."

Natalia and Willow soon walked elsewhere leaving their children in the same deserted area to converse with one another without being bothered. Weiss stood there with the black-haired boy who seemed to fix his hair, which his mother had ruffled to the point of messing up.

"Well, I might as well do as mother said and talk to him," Weiss thought before she courteously bowed her head, while she lifted her dress lightly. "Good evening, I, am Weiss Schnee of the Schnee Family."

Weiss perfectly performed that greeting in front of the black-haired boy who finished fixing his hair.

"Well, then how are you going to…?"

"Yo, my name is Daniel Norden."

"H-Huh?"

Weiss was stumped hearing those words, which didn't have the slightest shred of noble elegance behind them.

"Uh, is there's something wrong?"

"Y-You said something so improper here."

"What was improper about it," Daniel questioned crossing his arms and tilted his head to the side. "I was just as greeting that I say to friends."

"F-Friends. But, we don't even know one another yet you're already saying we're friends."

Weiss started wearing a slight frown at the thought of someone already calling themselves her friend without her consideration first.

"Didn't our mothers want us to be friends? Well, mom said that if I came there was someone my age that I could talk to instead of adults. If it wasn't for that, then I wouldn't have come here in the first place. There's nothing that I find fun about parties like this."

Daniel spoke more and more improper things that Weiss hadn't heard from anyone else around her.

"How can you talk like that here?"

"Well, mom always said that I shouldn't be afraid to speak my mind. If you can't speak your mind, then you'd just be doing what someone else wants you to do."

Weiss was confused again about those words, but more so after Daniel stepped in front of her suddenly causing her to step back a little.

"W-What?"

"You shouldn't scowl so much, you know. Or else, your face might freeze up," Daniel said wearing a mischievous smirk before turning around causing Weiss to stare at him weirdly, then turned around making a funny face using his fingers to stretch out his mouth. "It might turn out like this."

"…."

Weiss was surprised about the suddenness of that before her face started breaking from the serious expression, then she started giggling cutely.

"Hehehehe, you're weird."

"I'm fine with that. Some of the most interesting people are weird."

Daniel replied laughing lightly too.

"Look at that."

"Oh, the Schnee and Norden heirs are laughing together."

"Aw, the two of them look almost cute together."

Multiple adults found the scene between Weiss and Daniel adorable, with their mothers staring at them in enjoyment about the situation. A lot of the people in the crowd were urging the two of them to dance in front of them before turning into a request from almost all the adults in the room.

"Do you know how to dance?"

"Of course, it was one of the things that I had to learn."

"You should add how to properly talk in events like this."

"That seems like a hassle, so I humbly refuse."

Daniel replied as he walked forward to the crowd sending a mischievous smirk toward Weiss while extending his hand out toward her. She realizing from that moment that he wasn't the kind of person who'd act prim and proper during events like this, but for some reason, she didn't mind that.

"Well, at least you're not a…."

"Weiss."

Weiss was confused as she heard a voice that didn't belong to Daniel speaking to her, which instead belonged to a young girl.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Weiss?"

Another different female's voice came from his mouth.

"H-Huh?"

Weiss spoke up in her bed and dressed in her pajamas.

She realized that both the sisters, the black-haired young woman and the blonde-haired young woman standing there still in their pajamas also.

"Well, you must've been having some good dream," Yang said stretching her arms and yawned. "We tried waking you up at least three times, but didn't get a single response."

"It was nothing. I might've been more tired than I thought."

Weiss replied as she let a soft yawn escape from her mouth.

"This is what you get for studying too late at night, Weiss."

Weiss heard her partner speaking out loud causing her attention to be aimed at Ruby.

"I don't want to hear that from the late-night crammer herself," Weiss said getting out of bed before noticing that Blake was not in her bed. "Where's Blake?"

"Already in the bathroom getting prepared for school. After getting up, we had a game of rock-paper-scissors to decide who got to go first. And well, Blake one the first round. I won the second round. So, Ruby goes third. And by default, you're last."

Yang replied in her usual lighthearted tone, which would cause Weiss to stare back at her annoyed.

"Why wasn't this decided after I woke up?"

"Well, as Yang said, we tried waking you up. But, you wouldn't respond," Ruby replied before pulling the dreaded item that caused her the most trouble on her first day living with them, a whistle. "I was almost tempted to this."

"And if you had woken me up using that again, then I would have hit you."

Weiss threatened seriously as Ruby who seemed to yelp and backed away from her partner out of fear.

"So, what did you dream about?"

Yang questioned sitting beside the heiress on her bed.

"It was nothing. But, more than that, it's none of your business."

Weiss replied coldly to the blonde who seemed persistent about it.

"Come on, we're all girls. And so, anything spoken in this room won't leave this room," Yang said almost kindly as Weiss still seemed hesitant about mentioning anything around the blonde who'd simply tease her. "It isn't unusual about those kinds of dreams about the cute boy living on this floor."

"W-What 'certain dream' are you referring to," Weiss blushed at the mention of that since the blonde would be the kind of person who'd mention something like to embarrass her. "And besides, I wasn't dreaming about Daniel?"

"I never said that it was Dani. I could have been talking about Jaune."

"Then that would make it a nightmare."

Weiss coldly said as she glanced to the side imaging that blonde boy being in her dream.

"Jeez, no need to be so cold. You're going to make me 'schneeze'."

Yang made an obvious pun as Weiss almost felt herself cringe as Ruby let out a nervous laugh after hearing her older sister make one of her ill-famed puns.

"D-Don't use my name as a joke."

Weiss demanded feeling mocked at this point.

"Come on, I don't say 'norden' wrong."

Yang did it again as Weiss groaned and forced herself on the pillow behind her.

Before long, there was a knock on the door catching the three women's attention.

"Oh, I got it!"

Ruby zipped towards the door using her semblance and leaving behind a trail of roses, then placed her hands on the doorknob. Without asking whoever it was, she cracked the door open to find Daniel standing there holding an item, a book in his hand as he waved his hand.

"Morning, Ruby."

"Hey, Daniel."

Weiss was almost surprised about the sudden visitor, but more so after seeing Ruby letting enter their dorm room without asking them first.

"D-Don't just let him enter our room, y-you Dolt. What if there's something he shouldn't see?"

"Come on, Weiss this is Daniel," Ruby nonchalantly reasoned as she allowed him to enter their dorm, but Weiss' reasonable comment did cause him to avert his eyes a little so that he didn't see anything. As in most situations, people would look around almost out of instinct. "Besides, we keep our room clean and Daniel's already seen us in our pajamas, remember?"

The time Ruby brought up was the first time all of them met together dressed in their pajamas, but Weiss sighed a little since it wasn't the point she was attempting to make.

"That wasn't what I meant. Did the two of you make it a habit to let boys into your rooms?"

"Of course we didn't aside from some close friends," Yang replied shrugging her shoulders. "Besides, I don't think that any boy from Signal would have the courage to make a move on their teacher's daughters. Anyone who'd think about making a move on Ruby would have to go through me first."

Those last words from Yang almost sounded as if she'd challenge anyone who attempts to ask out Ruby, the little sister herself looked a little oblivious.

"Uh, what exactly does, 'make a move' mean?"

Ruby asked, but not toward her sister, it was instead directed toward Daniel who looked nervously about the question not knowing how to respond to that. He glanced over toward Yang herself, but all that he got from her, of course, was a shrug of her shoulders and a teasing smile.

"Well," Daniel replied before smirking playfully, then poked the side of her cheek teasingly. "That's something that you'll find out after meeting that special someone."

"Ugh, Yang said that same thing. Come on, tell me!"

Ruby demanded as she started pounding her fists on the side of Daniel, although, it didn't hurt him, so he merely played along.

"Ouch ouch, stop."

Daniel replied unable to contain his laughter as Ruby pouted, then started doing it faster.

"Yang said that too! Stop treating me like I'm some kind of delicate flower. I'm training to become a Huntress so I deserve to be treated as an adult too."

"That's pretty hard to do, Miss Rose."

Daniel mused about her last name, in essence, a delicate flower, which didn't take long for her to pick up on. She then proceeded to beat on Daniel more rapidly, while puffing her cheeks more.

"Uhhh!"

Both Weiss and Yang were left looking at the retinue between the two team leaders with some amusement.

"Besides, shouldn't you already be used to Dani being in your room."

"Times like that doesn't count," Weiss stated before finding herself taking a discreet glance toward Daniel, whose still being quote-unquote roughed up by Ruby. After thinking back to the times that Daniel caught her in his arms during the initiation and felt her heart flutter a bit. "Things are much different from those times when we were both still children hanging out."

"Well, way to sound like an old repressed woman. What were you planning on doing if the two of you ended up in the same room," Yang pointed out. Weiss didn't want to admit it out loud, but she was brought about not knowing what to do if she ended up being Daniel's roommate. But, the thought about it caused her to blush. "Weiss, I know you love doing things all orderly and by the book, but living like that won't allow you to live life to the fullest, you know. And isn't that the reason that we're all here to experience that?"

Weiss stared at Yang stunned since that did sound like good advice to her, which caused the heiress to soften up her expression a bit. It was one of the first times that she didn't tease her, but instead have her honest advice.

"Well, I'm surprised that you could say something do helpful."

"Well, I think that I did a good job looking after and raising my little sister."

Yang said placing her hand on her hips as her pride seemed to rise.

"I'll be sure to…what are you two doing?"

Weiss turned her head to see their little roughhousing resulted in Ruby hanging onto his back, with both her legs wrapped around his waist and arms wrapped around in his neck in a kind of chokehold. Daniel admitted that she was, of course, stronger than a normal girl considering that she could wield Crescent Rose without any trouble.

"I believe that Miss Rose is trying to take me down."

Daniel teased as Ruby still attempted to him attempted to "take him down". His nonchalant response about this caused Ruby to pout even more as she soon sighed and resorted to her trump card.

"You leave me no choice, Daniel," Ruby stated before glancing over toward Yang who simply watched them in amusement, before noticing her little sister was looking at her. Soon enough, Ruby gave her the puppy dog eyes, which almost melted her heart. "Yang, could you please help me take Daniel down."

"Eh?"

"Wait, what?"

Weiss and Daniel seemed to be surprised about this, but Yang didn't appear to be against that request placing a hand over her heart.

"What kind of older sister would I be if I refused a call from my baby sister," responding to her younger sister, who seemed to be wearing a smug smirk on her face. Yang later stood up from her seat raising her fist into the air and her eyes seemed to turn red. "Here I come, Dani! This is the Xiao Long-Rose Tag Team!"

"Uh, I'm not sure that I want to…."

Daniel felt worried at that moment as he noticed the blonde brawler pouching on him, with Weiss staring at it all wearing a stumped expression on her face. Moments later, the bathroom door opened revealing Blake dressed in her school uniform and hair properly fixed, as well as her black bow.

"Alright, Yang, I'm…what?"

Immediately, Blake was stumped as she was a witness something that she never thought that she'd ever witness after joining a team. Daniel, a person she would call one of her new friends were being restrained from behind by her partner as her team leader leaned in front of him and continued tickling him.

"Hahahahaha, c-come on…k-knock it off!"

Daniel said laughing unable to get out of the hold because Ruby was also tickling him so that made it more difficult. There was also the fact that Yang's chest was pressed up against his back more so than before since she was holding onto him tightly from behind to ensure he didn't escape.

"Not until you apologize for teasing me!"

Ruby laughed and declared as she continued going to the most ticklish spots that were on most people.

"I-I refuse…hahahahaha…I-I have no regrets…hahaha…!"

Despite being tickled, Daniel still refused to apologize for teasing Ruby.

"What's going on?"

Blake decided to ask the most level-headed person on the team aside from herself, who ironically was also a girl she never thought she'd have a friendly chat with.

"Well, Daniel was teasing Ruby, then she tried to take him down, but couldn't. And she called in Yang for help."

Weiss replied almost not believing what happened herself as both the sisters continued 'taking down' Daniel who was almost helpless. Blake witnessed as Daniel still refrained from apologizing for teasing Ruby, but showed no intent in backing down even though he was outnumbered and undergoing tickle torture.

"What did Daniel tease her about?"

Blake wondered seeing as she missed something interesting in the bathroom getting dressed.

"Well, Ruby asked what does 'making a move on someone' mean."

"Ah."

Blake flushed a little realizing the meaning of making a move on someone for various reasons.

"Come on, stop being stubborn, Dani. If you apologize to Ruby, then," Yang said before she teasingly whispering in his ears. "I'll make it with your while."

"What did you just whisper in his ear?"

Weiss questioned suspiciously.

"I don't even want to know what's going through her mind," Daniel muttered before noticing that Ruby was in for a second session of the tickle torture. "Wait, how about a proposition?"

"…I'm listening."

Ruby narrowed her eyes.

"I'll bake you some more cookies if you overlook this transgression."

Daniel said in a tone resembling a man pleading for his life, which caused Ruby to think seriously about that deal.

"Hmmm, well, the crime of teasing me is a serious one. And so, if you also threw in strawberries, then I'll accept."

The three others in the room looked surprised as both of them sounded serious about this, but were instead still joking around with one another.

"I thought that…."

"Well, cookies are one of Remnant's greatest pleasures. But, I love strawberries."

"Alright, deal."

Daniel held out his hand as much as possible since Yang was still holding onto him, then Ruby grasped his hand and shook it. Seeing that the two of them agreed to their terms, she sighed a little disappointed then removed her arms from around Daniel. After that happened, he could sit comfortably on the ground without being manhandled by the blonde brawler.

"Well, Daniel did you bring it?"

"Yea, it's on your bed."

Daniel said pointing to the book that he placed on her bed, which Blake picked up.

"Thanks."

"What's that," Ruby asked standing up before noticing the title. "Fateful Twilight?"

"That."

Weiss seemed to recognize the title of the book since she reacted from hearing the title.

"What is it?"

"It's an autobiography written by Daniel's grandfather," Weiss replied. "I heard he wrote several books that were published and become rather popular."

"Ugh, a book," Yang seemed to sigh out loud catching all their attention. "You have a guy who's at least a ten or a nine…a seven at worst, who gives you one free request, but you ask him for a book."

"Would you rather I ask him out on a date or something," Weiss seemed a little attentive about that suggestion. "I wouldn't feel right asking out a guy I haven't known for that long out on a date using the first request. How would you feel if Daniel and Ruby went on a date?"

Blake asked pointing at the two of them, which Ruby blushed a little about as Daniel wore a wry smile.

"I don't need to be too worried about that, the most those two would probably do is talk about weapons or going to an arcade. Besides, Dani wouldn't do anything weird with Ruby," Yang stated before her eyes turned red. "If he did, then we'd have to have a little chat."

"Is that a part of your semblance?"

Daniel questioned, although, he didn't have a problem with that threat since it meant just how precious Ruby was to her. But, in response to that question, Yang merely gave a playful shrug of her shoulders.

"Well, this one wasn't among the books that he published and his others did pique my interest a bit. So, I asked Daniel if it was possible if I could read it."

"It wasn't that much trouble. All I did was fish it out from my belonging," Daniel said. "I have no idea the reason at the time, but my aunt just threw it at me before I went to Mistral. Of course, she didn't even give me a warning or hold back that strong arm of hers."

Daniel replied before taking a seat on Blake's bed beside the older black-haired girl, but the motioned caused an item that was sticking from underneath her pillow to move. Both were unaware of this as Daniel recalled how much his face hurt having the book literally thrown at him. But, as Blake was going to open the book in her hand, a sound caught their attention.

"Oh, Blake, I think the book on your bed fell on the ground. I'll get it."

Daniel went to pick up the book.

"Oh, thanks. I didn't have a lot of…wait," at the mention of the book on her bed, Blake panicked realizing what that book was. "W-Wait, Daniel you d-don't have to, I'll get…."

Blake tried getting Daniel not to pick up the book, instead offering to do it herself, but it was already too late as it was in his hands. After reaching his hands, he noticed that the book had a black cover with the title written in red print, which read "Ninjas of Love".

"Wait…."

Daniel said recognizing the title as Blake felt her world almost crumble.

"D-Daniel, can we talk outside about, uh," Blake said unable to come up with a reason before one soon popped in her head. "R-Right, the assignment that was in Professor Greene's room."

"R…whoa."

Faster than he could respond, Blake grabbed onto his hand without thinking and dragged him outside their dorm room leaving her teammates confused.

"Is Blake started to take the initiative?"

Yang joked as Weiss didn't look amused.

"Shouldn't you be getting prepared? I know that your hair alone takes a portion of that time."

"You're just jealous."

Yang said as she brushed her hair using a single hand causing Weiss to roll her eyes.

"Well, as you said, Yang takes a long time to do her hair. So, we might as well get dressed now."

Ruby said as she zipped over to retrieve her uniform as Weiss stood up thinking about what transpired in a couple of minutes. But, instead of being annoyed, there was a part of her that couldn't help but laugh about it.

"I won't be able to experience life, right, huh," Weiss found herself thinking about the words that Yang said to her as she started removing the nightgown that she had worn after retrieving her uniform, revealing the light blue bra that she wore underneath it. Another thought soon entered her head causing a light, almost inaudible. "I almost forgot got that there was still one more request after all that happened. Honestly, I already forgave him, but I may as well use this last request as a chance."

"Did you say something Weiss?"

Ruby asked as she finished putting on her school uniform shirt.

"It's nothing."

Weiss replied as she started putting on hers.

Meanwhile, Blake who abruptly dragged Daniel outside their dorm room without speaking a single word about it dragged him to a private area where there were no students. Despite this, Blake still looked around to ensure not a single person would hear their conversation and breathed out a relieved sigh.

"This is too embarrassing," Blake seemed to scream in her head as she recalled the moments until Daniel found that book, in particular, under her pillow. "Out of all the people who could have found that book in my room, it had to have been the one boy who visits our room. I could have handled it, if Ruby, Weiss, or even Yang found it."

Blake had gone to great lengths to ensure none of her teammates stumbled across it by mistake. But, if someone on her team did in end finding it, then she could have explained it easier. Of course, it would've been awkward no matter what was said, at least, her teammates were all girls. Blake even prepared herself for the possible teasing that she'd receive from her partner. However, the first person to find out was a boy who she befriended.

"Why did Daniel end up being the person who found it? We can talk about different things without trouble, but this is too awkward and embarrassing to even think about. Well, if I take too long, then we might be late for classes."

Blake could feel her cheeks burning at this point at the situation.

"Uh, Blake. Not that I mind it, but if people find us holding hands, then I might end up being interrogated again."

Blake was brought back to reality was Daniel's voice, which caused her to look down and noticed that she was still holding his hand. After realizing that she was still holding onto his hand, she immediately separated them from one another and apologize.

"I'm sorry, Daniel," it was the first time that Daniel has ever seen Blake this flustered and nervous about anything, but she still felt the sensation of his hand. "I-If anything I was expecting that Ruby, Weiss, or Yang to come across it at some point. But, I wasn't expecting anyone to go through the trouble of looking under my pillow and I thought that I put it back before getting it. Uh, what're they going to think about me after they find out about this?"

Daniel stood in the same spot as Blake continued rambling on about the erotica that was still in his hands.

"I honestly can't blame Blake for this reaction. I think that anyone would act like this if someone found out about an embarrassing secret of theirs," Daniel thought glancing at the back of the book where the summary was. "But, I wasn't really expecting that someone as aloof as Blake would be interested in this. I guess that saying about it always being the quiet ones fits this situation."

He reasoned smiling wryly as Blake seemed to lean forward a little pleadingly.

"Daniel, please don't tell anyone about this. Can this please be a secret between us?"

Blake begged.

"Uh, about that. Blake isn't this an erotica…an adult book?"

Daniel asked pointing at "Ninjas in Love", having recognized the title once before, but noticed Blake's face turned bright red from the mention of the genre.

"It's not what you think, Daniel. After I started reading different books and genres, I came across a…, romance novel at some point," Blake admitted under her breath. "I was going through some things before and decided to read them as an escape. I-I got curious and started reading more and well…."

"It's fine, Blake," Daniel interrupted Blake, finding it almost hard to watch her struggling to tell him that much. "It's none of my business whether you read romance or adult novels. I mean, I am kinda surprised to see that you like reading ones like this. But, as I said, it's none of my business what you read."

Daniel tried calming down Blake, who still seemed panicked after having one of her guilty pleasures found out by a boy. He held the book in front of Blake in a way that no one would be able to see the title, which she graciously took and held close to her chest.

"Thank you."

Blake said sighing from relief about that secret being kept.

"Come on, Blake," Daniel sighed faintly, faking an almost hurt expression, which didn't take long for Blake to pick up on. "Seriously, did you think that I'd go around telling everyone? I wouldn't have even told any Hunter, Alyssa, or Sandra let alone anyone else. You could give me a little bit more credit than that, y'know."

Having heard those words and calming down from the embarrassment, Blake realized that Daniel wasn't the kind of person who'd go around spreading that to anyone if she didn't want anyone knowing. Although, not realizing it in the first place and reacting like that caused her to feel a whole new level of embarrassment.

"Right, I wasn't thinking in the heat of the moment," Blake sighed placing a hand on her forehead almost as if she were scolding herself for thinking about it. "I'm sorry, I might've overreacted a little. I didn't expect that you'd be the one who finds it."

"Well, you need to relax a little bit, Blake."

Daniel noted unconsciously reached his hand out to pat Blake on her head.

It didn't take Blake a second to realize where he was going to touch her on her head, sparking a near-immediate reaction from her. She reacted to the gesture and grabbed onto his wrist using strength he was expecting from the bow-wearing girl.

"Wow, I don't think that even Weiss gave me that kind of reaction."

"S-Sorry."

Blake removed her hand from his wrist, as Daniel could still recall the pressure from her grip.

"Nah, that's more my fault. Most of the time that's my general reaction when I see someone in distress or when I want to tease someone. Although, it does look like you're not the kind of person who'd like having their head pat."

"Well, that's something that you do with a kid."

"Not exactly. I don't see Ruby or Weiss complaining."

"Well, as good of a Huntress-in-Training Ruby is, she's basically still a kid. And I think that if it was anyone else, then Weiss would have snapped at them in a heartbeat."

Blake said laughing lightly, but Daniel noticed that the bow on her head once again twitched.

"I'm pretty sure those are ears underneath that bow," Daniel surmised as he noticed Blake had recovered from her previous flustered state, then sighed lightly. "Well, this is proof enough that Blake's a faunus, but…. She just calmed down from having one secret revealed and I don't think that it's the right time to mention it. I don't know why, she wouldn't want to reveal it, but whatever it must be serious."

Since meeting Blake, Daniel noticed that she was always against the Faunus students being mistreated and had always talked about the Faunus' situation with strong resolve. So to him, Blake hidden her Faunus traits could be more personal than most would think. After realizing the amount of them spent there, Daniel reached inside of his pocket to retrieve his Scroll and checked the time.

"We should probably head back. If we end up being late to class, Yang might start asking questions," Daniel had mused, which Blake could understand. "Also, we might receive a long-winded tale about being punctual from our dear Professor Port."

"You're right. I wouldn't want that."

Blake laughed a second time before both of them headed back to their dorm rooms.

From that moment, their day continued with their usual classes after going through the extended lecture which was given by their first-period teacher. But, then some of them moved onto the next class period run by someone more or less unique than Professor Port. Inside of the History Class, there looked to be papers scattered around the teacher's desk, both on the desk and around it with empty coffee mugs and cups. On the wall was a map of Remnant with different articles and red thread pinned on various locations.

All in all, it gave off the vibe of being unorganized, which wasn't too surprising considering that their teacher gave off the impression of being all over the place. The said teacher has dark green messy hair wearing apparent opaque glasses dressed in disheveled professional wear without a blazer. Professor Bartholomew Oobleck.

Inside the classroom were Weiss and Blake, Pyrrha and Jaune, and Cardin and Dove, although neither of them sat beside their teammate. Although, Cardin didn't appear to even be registering the lesson as his feet rested on his desk sitting in front of him almost falling asleep.

"Now, class, shall we continue with the lesson," Professor Oobleck spoke in a fast-paced manner that made it almost impossible to get what he said. In his hand was a coffee-filled mug that he took a sip of before zipping off in another direction in front of one a female student with rabbit ears, which signified her faunus status surprising her. "Now, what were we talking about, Miss Scarlatina?!"

"U-Uh."

The female student in front of him seemed stumped due to his actions.

"Incorrect!"

"I-I didn't even say anything yet!"

The female student replied speaking in an accent of some kind but didn't get a response as Oobleck zipped off in another direction standing in front of the entire class.

"What we were discussing was the Great War," Oobleck said before sipping his coffee again and spoke. "Truly, it was the war that led the four kingdoms into becoming what they are now! However, we must've forgotten the things that triggered that terrible war in the first place! So, Miss Schnee can you give us a reason for that war?"

Weiss who had been taking notes in class the entire time tried catching most of what Oobleck was telling them had stood straight up.

"There were different reasons that war was caused, but most would say that it was caused by the high tensions between the four kingdoms. All this ranged from being unable to agree with the decision the others made in handling the Grimm or their citizens. With Mantle and Mistral removing acts of expression in an attempt to survive the Grimm, something Vale disagreed with. But, the primary cause was from one side attacking the other."

Weiss gave a response in the punctual manner that one would expect.

"Excellent. Yes, even now we have no idea who fired the first shot in that war, but the kind of battle that had been waged and the negative emotions wafting from all the sides," Oobleck said before getting more serious for only a second. "Because of that conflict, the Grimm attacks became more frequent, their attacks started spreading more worldwide unlike before. All of us should remember that instead of focusing on fighting against one another we all need to remember what the true threat is."

For a moment the students were surprised about the sudden serious tone from their teacher, who took one more sip from his coffee mug and breath once.

"Mister Arc! Mister Winchester!"

""Huh?!""

Both Jaune and Cardin reacted to the call of their teacher, almost seeming to call from their previous positions.

"It's good to see how attentive the two of you are. So, can either of you tell me what we were talking about?"

Oobleck asked as both of them seemed to be almost stumped about the question.

Pyrrha seemed to smile wryly after seeing her partner and team leader speaking a bit incoherently in an attempt to guess what the lesson was about. Cardin was fairing a little bit more, although, that could be more because he didn't care about the lesson at all. Blake didn't appear interested in that matter, instead of looking back at her notes, while Pyrrha seemed to be attempting to give Jaune signals.

"Why did a neanderthal like that even bother enrolling in Beacon?"

Weiss questioned as she seemed to speak out loud as she checked her note as well, while Oobleck appeared to lecture both Cardin and Jaune at the same time. Dove who had been sitting beside her since it was the seat that was assigned to him, sent a glare in her direction.

"And who was that directed toward, the blonde idiot?"

"That's the same as the pot insulting the kettle."

Weiss replied coldly not caring about amusing one of the people she has already had a distaste for, consisting of all the members of Team CRDL.

"Tch, that's a sharp tongue you got there little miss heiress. The same as that idiot, Daniel."

"Didn't that so-called idiot take down your team leader without trying?"

Weiss questioned as she remained to focus on her notes, which triggered a reaction from Dove.

"Listen, you little…!"

"Mister Bronzewing," Dove reacted after hearing Oobleck calling out to him. "I can see that you're bothering Miss Schnee! Do you want to write a thirty-page essay about the events involving the Great War? In addition to the ten-page about how it impacted Remnant, as well!"

"N-No, sir!"

"Shame! Truly, shameful," Oobleck replied almost dishearten about the fact that he didn't want the assignment at all, and took another sip of coffee. "Now, shall we continue onto the lesson. Next, we will discuss the King of Vale at the time. And afterward, I'll be placing you all into pairs for the report about the Great War."

"W-Wait, Professor Oobleck."

"Yes, Mister Arc!"

"Weren't we assigned a report about the Great War? And our feelings on the matter?"

Jaune spoke confused since he did receive the same assignment as punishment for not paying attention.

"Yes, but this assignment deals in explaining the effects of the different kingdoms before and after the conclusion of the Great War. So, they're completely different assignments from one another! Now, then since some of your teammates are inside the class already. I believe that it'll be easier to be assigned with them, while I'll work on sorting out the other students. I'll also be assigning what kingdom, you'll all be focusing on as well."

After placing the empty coffee mug on the table, Oobleck retrieved another one, then took a sip out of it, then zipped toward the other side of his desk to receive the layout for the assignment.

"Well, I believe that it'll make it easier to help Jaune in writing his essay as well."

Pyrrha said, feeling happy that she could assist Jaune, but Weiss didn't share the same thought.

"Pyrrha, you shouldn't help Jaune out of every situation he gets himself caught in. This isn't a battle, so there isn't a need to help him with something he caused for himself."

Weiss noted, leaning forward to speak to Pyrrha, who turned around to face her wearing a smile.

"I know, but I wouldn't be a good partner if I don't help Jaune, right?"

Pyrrha replied smiling at Weiss who blinked in response to those words, but she didn't reject those words since they made sense to her.

"Well, I think that Jaune should at least be grateful that he has you as a partner."

Weiss didn't give another response after that, with Pyrrha still smiling at that.

"Not that I agree with Weiss that much about it," Blake said before turning towards Pyrrha. "I could be wrong, but it does look as if Jaune has been underperforming in classes since the initiation."

Blake brought up a good point since the initiation where Jaune acted like a leader, leading the members of Team JNPR (before being official) against a Death Stalker. But, since then, it looked as if he was still a student learning in a training institute. That was something that from Blake, Pyrrha couldn't help noticing the same thing from what she has seen Jaune doing in classes so far.

"Well, I'm sure that Jaune is still attempting to find himself here. From the leadership he said and the potential that he has, I believe that he'll become a remarkable Huntsman after graduating."

Pyrrha spoke with such belief in her words that neither Weiss nor Blake could come up with a single response.

Their history lesson about the Great War continued from there about the King of Vale who managed to end it all, then decided to allow all the kingdoms to maintain independence instead of falling under his sole rule.

After class ended, the students whose partners or teammates weren't in the same classroom were all paired with one another. Pyrrha and Jaune remained near one another talking about their joined assignment, as well as the one that he received as a punishment.

"Well, it appears as we got Mistral as the topic."

Blake said reading from the paper that she received from Oobleck for their assignment.

"So, we'll start on it after school and head off to the library to work on it," Weiss stated already sounding as if she had a game plan for it. "I doubt that we'll be able to concentrate on the assignment in our dorm room if Ruby and Yang are there. And I won't accept anything, but a perfect score."

Blake stared as Weiss started devolving into getting the perfect score on this assignment, which was something she would have expected from their team's perfectionist. As both Blake and Weiss were walking forward towards their next classes, the two of them were stopped as a male student stood. Neither of them knew who he was, but he was a blonde male who looked a little older than them, meaning he must be an upperclassman.

"Hello, beautiful," the male student said directly to Weiss, causing her to stare back at him wearing an impassive, almost irritated face. But, either he didn't notice or didn't care about her reaction and continued. "I witnessed the stellar performance that you had put on during the initiation and I was to tell you the truth, I was taken aback. I think that you should've been assigned leader instead of that grade skipper. So, if you wouldn't mind, would you…."

"If you think that you're worthy of me, then that's laughable," Weiss said in such a cold tone that most would think the temperature dropped several degrees. "Step aside fool."

"…."

Hearing those words, the blonde upperclassmen looked as if his pride was shattered as Jaune who listened in looked shocked as well. Weiss and Blake didn't register it at all, as the both of them walked past the student, whose mouth was agape.

"Well, that makes the tenth guy who you shot down. I know that it probably got irritating at this point, but was that really necessary?"

Blake questioned not out of concern for the male student, but more or less out of what might happen next.

"I don't want anything to do with someone who can't see passed by family's fortune. Excluding that cheap praise and invitation," Weiss said before thinking about the past. "I could see that he had the same eyes as the people looking get close to Schnee Family using me. And he also blatantly insulted my partner too."

Weiss said, recalling the tone that the blonde upperclassmen spoke in talking about the "grade skipper".

In response to hearing such words from Weiss, Blake couldn't help crack a smile and even started to laugh in a stifled manner.

"Wh-What're you laughing about?"

"It's weird hearing those words from the girl who treated her partner as a nuisance the first time they met. And moments ago, even told Pyrrha not to support hers."

"I-I didn't say she couldn't support him. I simply meant that she shouldn't pamper him too much. This is a school where we're training to fight Grimm and uphold order. If we're not prepared to handle something as simple as our school assignments, then we won't be prepared to enter the real world."

Weiss replied still a little flustered about what Blake said about her defending Ruby.

"Would we be prepared to enter the real world though?"

"Huh, what does that mean?"

"There's a lot of things that we still don't know about the Grimm. And there are several situations out there that we might not be able to solve with what we learned here."

"Well, at this point, I think that we should focus more on learning what we can now and graduating first."

Weiss said as she focused forward with Blake agreeing with those words about just learning whatever they could at this stage first. As both of them continued walking, she noticed that there weren't that many people near them, meaning no one would be able to hear this next question.

"Hey, Blake."

"Yes."

"Has there been something that you regret not doing?"

Weiss' sudden question caused Blake to stop and stare at her confused about the suddenness of it.

"Like what?"

"It's not like I'm asking about something personal, but this is something that I can't ask either Ruby or Yang. Ruby would be too confused about it. And Yang would start making baseless and random accusations," Weiss noted as she turned to Blake. "You're the only person on our team that I can ask without some nonsensical response."

Blake blinked twice at that response before getting in a thinking position wondering about her response.

"Well, I don't know about that, but," Blake said before glancing to Weiss, who really wanted an answer and finally, she gave her one. Even if it meant opening an old wound. "If there's something that I regret doing, then the might be not mustering up the courage to talk to someone dear to me sooner when I knew he was at a crossroad in life. It really isn't something that I want to share, but…."

"If it's something that you don't want to share, then…."

Weiss felt some regret since it looked as if her question opened some terrible memory, but Blake raised her hand stopping her from speaking further.

"It's fine. I'm kind of happy that you wanted my opinion about something like this," Blake said. "Well, all that I can say on that matter is that if you feel like there's something that you need to do, then do it. Or, you might end up regretting it at some point."

"Right."

"Then shall we head off to our next class?"

Blake said as she started walking off ahead of Weiss.

Weiss also proceeded forward but reached in her pockets to retrieve her Scroll and turned it on. She went to her contacts before going to the one belonging to Daniel and sent a quick text to him. After sending that text, Weiss allowed a breath to escape from her mouth before proceeding forward.

After school ended, Daniel found himself standing in front of Beacon Academy, which was the same spot he first met Ruby and Jaune. Ironically, it was also the same spot that Ruby and Weiss first met too. There was also an assortment of students walking around talking among themselves to people he assumed were their teammates.

"I wonder what Weiss has planned."

Daniel wondered thinking back to the text that he received.

[I want to talk about the third request. Meet me in front of the school after classes.]

"I almost thought that she forgot about that," Daniel noted before thinking for a moment. "Nah, this is Weiss I'm talking about. She wouldn't forget something, especially, if it was her idea in the first place. Well, whatever Weiss has planned, then I'm sure that it'll be interesting."

Daniel surmised as he continued waiting there for Weiss to arrive.

"I'm sorry for making you wait here," Daniel turned around to see Weiss walking up in front of him as he stood in the same spot before sighing. "Getting away from Ruby was took a little more effort than I thought. She's always wanting to do things together."

"Well, you're her bestie, right?"

He asked back smiling lightly causing Weiss to turn in another direction.

"I guess."

Weiss didn't admit to or deny it, resulting in a smile appearing on his face.

"Well, never mind that. I called you here to talk about the final request," Weiss said before looking a little bit more bashful than Daniel has ever seen. "I want you to escort me around Vale on the weekend alone."

Daniel stopped for a moment at the word escape and noticing the bashful expression on her face, he came to a single conclusion.

"Do you mean a date?"

In response to hearing the word date, Weiss flinched a little, as the red dusting her cheeks started becoming a lot redder than before. She wanted to deny it, but recalled the words that she heard from Yang and Blake, then started speaking again

"If you want to call it that, then it's fine."

Weiss said in a tone that almost caused Daniel's heart to skip a beat.

She wasn't speaking in the usual haughty tone that she'd normally would around the others, but one that was the most common for them.

"Alright, then let's go out on the weekend."

Daniel said smiling genuinely, but he couldn't hide the red in his cheeks either.

"Alright," Weiss said smiling genuinely before turning around. "By the way, you're paying."

"Of course, I am. My mom always told me that the guy pays."

Daniel laughed after mentioning the fact that he was paying for this date over the weekend.

After managing to get those words and request out of her mouth, Weiss found herself smiling faintly as she ventured toward the direction of her dorm room. Daniel stood there scratching the back of his head about the third request, but he didn't have the slightest problem with it and instead of looking forward to it.

"Well, I wasn't expecting to be asked out on a date was the furthest thing of the reason that Weiss asked to meet me here. But, I can't say that I'm not at all looking forward to it," Daniel stated scratching his cheek and smiling as gently as possible. "I know no that there's no way that I'm going to screw this up."

Daniel, after resolving himself to that headed back to his dorm room to finish the rest of the afternoon doing what homework their teachers gave them and spent time with their teammates. From that point, the progressing time seemed to move slower than usual as the weekend was approaching as both of them seemed to focus more on the appointed time for their date.

Once the weekend arrived, Daniel was going through the clothes that he had inside of his closet and picking out the right one. His teammates, who were all dressed in their casual wear were all sitting in their respective beds in an equally relaxed manner. Both Hunter and Alyssa couldn't help, but find themselves watching their team leader skimming through his clothing.

Sandra, despite her disinterest, also found herself taking some glances toward him, but was mostly focused on the tuning of her electric guitar.

"Well, Daniel, is there something you're not telling us?"

Alyssa asked wearing a teasing smile on her face.

"No, not that I'm recalling."

Daniel replied picking out an outfit from his closet, then closed the closed door.

"So, does that mean you don't have a date," Alyssa pointed out as she laid down on her stomach, staring back at him from her top bunk, but Daniel remained silent. "It'd be obvious to anyone that you're preparing for a date right now. Nervously going through different clothes."

"Going back and forth between them."

Sandra added after Alyssa while playing a note, then Daniel turned to Hunter to see what he was going to sign.

'I kinda is obvious to even me.'

Hunter signed using his hands as Daniel sighed at how obvious that he was making it, which meant that he really was nervous about the date. Of course, the reason being since it was his first one.

"Alright, fine. I'm going out with someone."

"It's Weiss, isn't it," Alyssa correctly guessed. "She's the most likely candidate. You don't have to say anything at all, but I can kinda see that being the case."

"Alright, fine. Jeez, am I getting that easy to read?"

Daniel asked himself, then noticed that Hunter was attempting to get his attention.

'I don't think that it's that. Most of the time you're nonchalant about things, but there are times when you're unable to hide your genuine feelings about things. It's not a bad thing, you're just an honest person.'

Hunter signed to him, which caused Daniel to smirk at how his partner saw him.

"Well, hearing that improved my mood. So, what're you all planning to do?"

"Well, Yang and I are planning to hand out with our friends from our old school. It's been a long time since we last hung out with each other."

"Not that I should tell you, but I'm going to play on my electric guitar for a while."

'I made a new friend in the library. So, I was thinking about helping them with their report for class.'

"Alright, then. It looks like we have our own things planned. So, I'm going to get prepared and head out first."

Daniel said as he started walking inside of the bathroom to get prepared.

"So, anyone picked up that he was happier than normal?"

Sandra asked out loud much to their surprise as she picked up a new model amp, which she soon connected to her Scroll. It might have come out of her mouth without her knowledge as she appeared to be focused on getting her set up correct.

"Well, that's what happens when you're going out with someone you like."

Alyssa added as she took a leap from her bunk, then took a seat on her partner's bed.

"Hey, I didn't give you permission to sit on my bed."

Sandra complained as she sent an annoyed look toward her partner, but Alyssa merely sent a teasing smile in her direction. Hunter remained sitting in his bed once again smiling and laughing at the odd interactions between his new friends and team.

Meanwhile, inside the room next door, belonging to Team RWBY, Weiss found herself in a similar situation as her teammates were staring at her.

"Sooo, Weiss do you have anything planned today?"

Yang asked wearing a teasing smirk.

"No, what makes you think that?"

"Well, you're kind of making it obvious by the state of your bed."

Yang replied pointing out the several clothes that Weiss had placed on her bed, which seems to have been taken over by the sheer number of clothes that she brought out.

Realizing what had happened, Weiss hid the red that started dusting her cheeks and played it off by acting in her usual manner.

"Hah, I always ensure that I look my best," Weiss spoke in her usual haughty tone and brushing her hair with her hand, but the most perceptive members of her team could see past that. "I need to think carefully about this. It is the first time that we've been alone like this without the others interrupting or walking in. It is also the first date that I've actually been on where I wasn't forced into."

"Aw, first date jitters, Weiss?"

Yang teased as she appeared behind the Weiss who seemed too embarrassed to respond to that one at first.

"Ah, my bestie has a date?"

Ruby asked zipping beside Weiss wearing an excited expression on her face with her eyes sparkling.

"M-Mind your own business, it's not like you're the ones going out with someone."

"Probably, not. I mean, we're not the ones who asked out the boy next door."

"Y-You have no proof that I asked out Dani."

"Well, probably not. But, I do remember that you were happier than usual, which is a lot considering that most of the time you have a sour look," Yang had stated as she shrugged her shoulders. "Also, if Dani was the one who asked you out, then you probably would have been more nervous when you returned to the room."

"Shouldn't you this perceptive in classes instead of someone else's social life?"

Weiss said as she crossed her arms.

"I can't help it, I'm more of a sociable girl. Speaking of which, Ruby get the chair!"

"Alright, sis."

Ruby saluted like a soldier despite being the leader, then zipped towards one of the chairs placed at their desks and brought it back. Yang later held Weiss by her shoulders and forced her into the chair before she was able to even comprehend what was going on or complain.

"W-What do you think you're doing?"

"Well, one of the benefits of being a part of an all-girls team is talking about things that you can't talk about around boys," Yang said before giving her usual smirk. "And asking for fashion advice, especially if one of you just so happens to be an expert in that area."

"I-I don't need help."

"Well, too bad. Since you're getting it," Yang said sticking her tongue out at Weiss. "Hey, Blake wants to get in one this too? I'm sure, it'll be fun."

Blake, who had been sitting in her bed holding a book in her hand thought about it for a second before shrugging her shoulders and placing a bookmark in the spot that she left out on. She then stood beside her two teammates as they gathered around Weiss. After seeing her two teammates going to such lengths to help her with this, she couldn't find herself immediately denying the request. Besides, it didn't sound that bad to her bonding over such a thing with people she met here.

"F-Fine, if you won't stop insisting, then I won't be against it."

"Hehehe, you could say that you want to enjoy this bonding moment," Weiss didn't give a single response from Yang as she started getting everything prepared. "Alright, we're going to start dolling up this little princess for her date with that special boy. But, in return, she'll need to share the details."

"Not happening."

Despite Weiss' rejection, her team started helping her pick out her clothes for her date.

Seeing this did cause a light smile to appear on her face as she found a group of people who didn't treat her as a meal ticket and genuinely wanted to help her. Throughout her childhood, there have been people who wanted to get in good with the Schnee Family, but there were people here who wanted to be her friends.

After several minutes, Daniel found himself standing inside the commercial district located, dressed in casual wear, which consists of a black jacket, a darkish blue shirt, black jeans, and sneakers. Before leaving, he did receive a text from Weiss informing him that she'd meet him in the same spot. It hasn't been for that long since he arrived there using one of the airships stationed at Beacon for this situation. But, he found himself checking to ensure his clothing was alright.

"Now that I think about it, what's Weiss going to wear," Daniel found himself thinking as he checked to see if his hair was properly groomed. "I don't think that she'd wear anything cheap, but would she have anything that would be easy to move around in? Uh, I can't find myself wondering what he wore."

His thought seemed to wander around to different things as he scratched the side of his cheek.

"Daniel."

"Ah, Weiss. I almost thought that…."

Daniel had attended to make a minor joke but found himself stopping in his tracks as he turned around to look at Weiss. She was dressed in a white blouse, blue skirt, casual high-heeled shoes, and holding a white purse in her arms; her hair wasn't tied up in the usual fashion, instead, it was tied in a ponytail. All in all, Daniel couldn't help it and caught himself staring at Weiss.

"Uh, Daniel. If you keep standing there, staring at me," Weiss said finding herself flushed at the almost undivided attention that was focused on it. "Then you won't be able to escort me."

"R-Right."

Daniel managed to blurt out but found himself scratching the back of his head laughing.

"Good. I made reservations to a café and restaurant, all you need to is pay for it."

Weiss replied and smiled.

"Yea, yea. It wouldn't be a request if I allowed you to."

Daniel replied as he chuckled a little at that as Weiss walked beside him, then held out her arm.

"Well, then shall we get going? First, the café."

Realizing the gesture, Daniel smiled, then linked his arms up with hers and started walking forward.

Seeing them walking down the streets, there were some people, primarily normal citizens, whose attention was caught in their direction. Most of the comments, that Daniel could hear were ones about them looking almost like a genuine couple and some comments about Weiss from men.

"Well, I never thought that I'd be out on a date with Weiss yet, but I'm happy nonetheless. Now, there's one thing that I need to take care of at some point," Daniel thought as he continued looking forward, but couldn't help feeling a little irritated at the moment. "Someone is falling us from behind in the crowd of people."

Daniel didn't turn around to stare into the crowd since whoever was following them might become aware of it and most of all he didn't want to alert Weiss.

"Whose ever falling us is smart enough to hide in the crowd, but I can clearly feel someone staring in our general direction. I can't tell if they're either after me or Weiss, but he was waiting at least a couple of blocks from me," there was a moment that he turned towards Weiss who looked to be smiling to herself. "I don't want to ruin this for her, since Weiss went through the trouble of doing this. I'll handle whoever is following us without her realizing it."

"Daniel, you're being quiet. Is there something wrong?"

"Huh, I'm more confused."

"About what?"

Weiss asked confused about that sudden reveal.

"About all the effort that you put into this date. Did you want to spend time with me that badly?"

Daniel replied wearing a wide grin, which caused Weiss to blush as she elbowed him in the side.

"I'm sorry, but it was surprising though. I mean we spent time together all the time."

"Well, most of the time we're around everyone else. Besides, it's been a long time since it was us alone like this."

Weiss added more honestly, but still a little embarrassed after mentioning that.

"Then, I'll ensure that it's something special."

Daniel smiled and replied as he hands Weiss continued going forward.

Soon enough, Daniel and Weiss reached the café, which she made a reservation with beforehand, then after the receptionist checked them in, took a seat at the table. He looked around the café noticing that it was something Weiss would be interested in. There were several comfortable chairs and tables around the store for several different customers and even a place where people can perform a song.

"This is a good cafe. Although, I have been to that many good places like this in a long time."

"Well, you should take this chance to remain in my good graces. And I might give you the chance to experience a lot more places like this. So, we'll remain here until it's time for us to head to the restaurant for our reservations."

Weiss commented as she and Daniel took a seat at their table.

"How can I help you two?"

Soon enough, a waitress dressed in proper attire walked in front of them.

"Ah, I will have a coffee."

"I'll have the same, but with cream added onto it."

"Alright. I also wanted to inform you that our shop is currently offering a special vanilla cake for couples."

"C-Couples?"

"Sure, that sounds appealing."

Daniel replied after Weiss causing her to jump a little at the implication of being a couple, but she didn't mind that idea at all.

"Then, I'll return with your orders in a moment. I have to admit that I'm a little bit jealous."

The waitress replied happily after whispering that last line to Weiss as she started walking off to retrieve their orders at a brisk pace.

"A couple, huh?"

Weiss said as she leaned forward glancing over toward Daniel who smirked and shrugged his shoulders.

"Well, we are on a date. So, that wouldn't be too out of the truth."

"Whatever. Well, it wouldn't be the craziest thing you've ever done."

"You mean like the time we played a game of hide-and-seek on your eleventh birthday, then I started tickling you after finding you."

"That wasn't even a fair game since you brought it up in the heat of the moment."

Weiss sounded amused as she recalled those exact moments, which was something that she never thought she'd ever get to experience before.

"So, are there any other stories that you could share about what you did in Mistral?"

"I've been through enough there to where it can't all be talked about in a single day," Daniel replied as the woman assigned to their table as a waitress arrived holding their orders in her hand. "But, I think that we can talk about it while drinking our coffee and sharing this cake."

"Alright."

Weiss agreed as she picked up her coffee, then took a sip and Daniel joined her and started drinking his before a conversation started occurring between them.

"And there I was standing in the middle of a room filled with criminals working for some lower-level mob boss with one bullet in Vanir. To be honest, I didn't know how I was going to get out of that situation at the time, but one of his men was dumb enough to leave a crate filled with dust in the building. So, I shot it and caused an explosion of different kinds of dust. Man, if your dad so that, then he'd have a heart attack."

Weiss found herself interested in hearing what Daniel had gone through in Mistral and laughed sometimes after hearing about it.

"I find myself hearing dust being wasted like that, but if you managed to survive because of that, then I suppose I can forget about it this time."

"Yea and it was then that I told that moron Isaac not to have an affair with a mob boss' wife," Daniel said after he placed the coffee cup on the table. "I've been through so many idiot and unbelievably avoidable situations due to my mom's idiotic former teammate, but I guess that all the experience was a good enough reward. Although, the first situation I got involved in because of him almost broke me."

Daniel said that last part in such a low tone that Weiss couldn't hear it, but noticed that he shuttered a little.

"Well, we should try the cake at least."

Weiss said as she pointed at the lone frosted vanilla cake that was placed in front of them.

"Ah, since they think we're a couple, then why don't we play the role?"

"…ah."

Before another word could leave from her mouth, Daniel picked up a fork, then cut off a piece of the cake before placing it on top of the fork. After picking it up, he placed it in front of Weiss who stared at it.

"Come on, open wide."

Weiss couldn't tell if he was being serious or teasing her, but she did as instructed and opened her mouth.

The waitress, who had served them stood on the side watching the entire thing with them, which caused them to feel a little awkward. But, Daniel placed the vanilla cake in her mouth and Weiss ate it, resulting in her eyes being widened a little.

"This is good."

Weiss complimented as the flavor of the cake and cream danced across her taste bubs.

"Here, your turn, right?"

She asked picking up another fork, then cut off a piece of her own to give to Daniel, which he accepted and felt a similar sweet sensation as her.

"Man, this place sells good deserts. I wouldn't mind coming here again."

"Me neither. I might even tell, the others about it."

Weiss said, referring to the three friends that she made in coming with Beacon despite getting off on the rockiest start with all three of them.

Daniel, after noticing the blissful look that was on Weiss' face couldn't help smiling since she found other people able to make her this happy. Although, among that, he could feel the same presence that he felt inside the crowd of people when he was walking with her. He didn't need to look as he realized that there were several buildings in the area beside the café the two of them were in.

"Alright, if that's the game they want to play," Daniel said before getting up, catching Weiss' attention. "I need to head to the bathroom. I'll be back."

"Alright."

Weiss said as she watched him heading off to the bathroom after asking one of the workers where it was.

"Geez, why are you acting like this, it's not like he walked off again."

Weiss talked to herself as she took off another piece of the cake, then ate it, however, that caused the waitresses in the café to squeal.

"Did you see that?"

"Do they really have that kind of relationship?"

"I mean, you did see what she did."

"What're they freaking out about," Weiss said before noticing the fork that was still on the table, which caused her to realize something. "Uh, that's the fork that Daniel used to feed me that cake and the one I used to feed him is still in…."

Weiss blushed a deep shade of red after realizing that she fed herself using a fork that she used to feed a cake to Daniel moments ago, which was basically an indirect kiss.

Outside on a rooftop further from the café, there was a man dressed stealthily holding a camera in his hands that has a long lens pointed at the spot where Weiss and Daniel had been sitting. He remained motionless as he continued pointing the camera at the window.

"Tch, it looks as if he left to the bathroom. But, I can at least get some personal photos of this little…."

"So, care to explain yourself, Mister Stalker?"

"W-What?!"

Said man dubbed 'Mister Stalker' turned around to see Daniel casually kneeling in front of him.

He made some movements that showed that he was trained, then pulled out a baton of some kind from his side, then aimed it toward Daniel. But, it didn't even strike him as Daniel grabbed onto his wrist tightly before he could even reach him.

"That's not nice, Mister Stalker. But, you don't seem like a typical stalker."

"Argh."

He groaned as Daniel tightened and twisted his arm in an attempt to put him into a hold.

Moments later, the man reached into his pocket and dropped something on the ground, which Daniel seemed to recognize. But, runes appeared around it as the man pulled out another baton from his pocket then aimed swung it at Daniel again. In response to this, he blocked it using his arm, letting go of the man at the same time, which granted him the chance to run.

"Hahaha, you can't catch…me."

The man stopped moving as he realized that he couldn't move forward, causing him to turn around to realize that runes were circling his wrist, which Daniel had grabbed onto.

"Hmm, batons and a flashbang that has lightning dust in it. Looks like, you're a professional."

Daniel said as he snatched the camera from the man's hand, then started going through the photos that were all stored inside of it. After turning it on, most of the photos looked to have been of him and his team from a distance during the time they went on their date.

"So, you were following me and my team," Daniel said before going onto the photos that caused his face to turn sourer. "Alright, I can tell that someone hired you to follow me around, but do you mind explaining these?"

He shuttered as Daniel walked in front of him wearing a smile, but his eyes didn't match the expression at all.

On the screen of the camera were several different photos of girls he recognized from Beacon, there were some from members of RWBY.

"U-Uh…."

The man couldn't move as Daniel stared at him.

"Come on, I won't be able to hear your reasons if you don't talk. You'll make me think you were planning on doing something inappropriate with them or selling them to someone else."

Despite speaking in his usual pleasant tone, the man was experienced enough to tell that it wasn't at all pleasant, which caused the man to feel a sense of pressure from him that unnerved him.

"I-I wasn't…."

"Well, I don't have time right now for a chat at the moment," Daniel said snapping his fingers causing the runes that circled his arms to vanish, but they remained inscribed on his wrist. He then knelt in front of the downed man with the camera's memory card in his hands. "There's a place that will be perfect to continue this conversation, but I want you to bring any other photos that you might have taken with you."

"Th-Those were the only ones. I promise."

"Alright, but if I find out they weren't. Or, if you don't come to the appointed place," Daniel said as he knelt right in of the man who seemed shaken as he stared straight into his eyes. "I'll come and find you."

Having told him the location, then sending him off somewhere else so that Daniel could continue with his date without being bothered by some creeper. After he entered through the window that he left from in the bathroom, after ensuring that there wasn't another person inside the bathroom at the time. Daniel returned to the table that Weiss was still waiting for him at.

"I apologize for the long wait."

"Humph, it wasn't that long, but you do have a lot of nerve keeping the one you're supposed to escort waiting."

"I apologize, milady."

Daniel replied doing a slight bow of his head causing Weiss to roll her eyes.

"Whatever. So, we still have time here," Weiss noted after staring at the time. "Do you want to do anything here?"

"Well, how about a performance?"

Daniel asked pointing towards the place where there was a stage for people to perform and sing songs in front of all the patrons. Weiss thought it for a moment about singing in front of all these people but didn't find it as an issue considering that she sang in front of several hundreds of people several times.

"Fine, I'll grace you with a performance."

Weiss confidently declared as she stood up from her chair, then started walking toward the person stationed near the stage. After explaining she wanted to sing a song on the stage, the worker showed her where the microphone was placed at. But, before that, he held the microphone in his hand and started tapping his finger on it gaining all the patron's attention.

[Hello, our dear patrons. One of our customers wants to perform in front of us all.]

He said before showing Weiss all the selections of songs that were displayed on the monitor.

Having gone through the list of songs that were displayed on the monitor right in front of her, then choose one out of the entire list. As soon as the music started playing, she started singing the lyrics using a voice, which could be called angelic. The moment Weiss started singing the song, which was a popular one called "Let it Go", almost all the people in the cafe stared at the stage with their attention.

From her voice to the professional timing in singing the lyrics alongside the music, there was nothing anyone inside of the room could criticize or critique. All of them merely listened to the song being sung in front of them all without missing a single note. Once Weiss was finished, she did a single bow as the entire cafe had erupted with cheers and clapping from the entire establishment.

"That was the most incredible performance that I've ever heard!"

"That was amazing!"

"I almost want to hire her!"

Those were some of the compliments that Weiss heard from the crowd.

She stepped off the stage, then appeared in front of Daniel who seemed to be sitting there wearing his usual look expression.

"So, how was that performance?"

"As always, you gave a perfect performance."

Daniel complimented as Weiss smiled confidently.

"Excuse me, I wanted to know if there was something else that I could help you all with?"

Their waitress walked in front of them and questioned, obviously still enamored about Weiss' singing.

"Oh, there's something," Daniel said before pulling out his Scroll and handed it to the waitress. "Could you please take a photo of us? Is that alright, Weiss?"

"Yes."

"Sure, thing!"

The waitress said excitedly as she pointed the Scroll at them.

Daniel wrapped his arm around Weiss who seemed to give a faint smile, then got in the perfect position to take the photo. The waitress seemed to gush after seeing that before finally taking the photo, she handed the Scroll back to Daniel.

"I'll send the photo to you later."

"Alright, we'll finish up the cake, then head out to the restaurant for our reservation."

"Alright, milady."

From there, Daniel and Weiss started finishing the cake, while continuing to talk about various things before they finally headed out. Of course, after Daniel took care of the bill, they headed out to the restaurant to finish the rest of their date, which the two of them greatly enjoyed.

Upon their return to Beacon, the sun had already and it was evening, as Daniel escorted Weiss back towards her dorm room. There weren't the usual students in the halls so, leaving them alone for the moment as Weiss turned her attention toward him.

"Well, I want to thank you for escorting me around Vale."

"You know, you could just say thanks for the good date."

"Well, technically, I planned it and you paid for it," Weiss said smiling and crossing her arms. "So, if you want me to call it a date next time, then why don't you plan it?"

"So, there's a next time?"

Daniel replied with a question as a teasing smile appeared on his face.

"Maybe so," Weiss said as she held out her Scroll, seeming to prepare herself to unlock the door using it, but she stopped from doing that. "Since this is the third request that you completed, then I guess that resolves all of it. If I were, to be honest, though, I did forget about it almost sometime after we met again. I also have to admit that the whole three requests were kinda childish on my part."

He could see that she was embarrassed and almost ashamed about the 'three requests' thing that she came up with admittedly on the spot after their first encounter.

"It's alright. Well, my leaving three years ago was more or less a selfish and personal thing that I needed to do. I didn't really give a proper explanation about that at all."

"B-But, I should have realized the reason was related to everything that happened back then with your family. And that…you…were almost being killed four years ago."

Hearing those words caused Daniel to glance to the side, but both of them were stumped as both of them heard an odd shuffling noise behind the door near them. Weiss turned her eyes towards the source, which originated from her bedroom as her eyes twitched.

"T-Those dolts," Weiss spoke irritated after realizing the two of them were being listened in on. "I'll need to return to my room and handle those two."

Weiss said realizing who it was listening in on them, as two sisters popped up in her head, then placed her Scroll in front of the door causing the door to unlock for her.

"Uh, Daniel."

"Hmm?"

Instead of a normal response, Daniel was surprised as Weiss leaned forward and gave him a surprising kiss on the cheek, causing both of them to blush a deep shade of red.

"Uh, that…."

"That was an apology, so don't dive further into that," Weiss immediately replied before starting to open the door, then a breath escaped from her mouth. "Next time, I want…."

Daniel didn't get to hear that response as Weiss ventured inside of her dorm room, leaving Daniel standing there still flushed about what happened.

"Hahaha, well that was some apology," Daniel said before placing his hand on his body where his scars were all located and narrowed his eyes slightly before breathing out. "I could never forget what happened that time even if I tried to. But, I can promise that it'll be different next time."

Daniel said those last words more determined than he has ever said before realizing what he said and allowed a relieved breath to escape from his mouth.

"Come on, don't end the night mad after all that happened."

Daniel stated to himself as he walked next door toward his bedroom after using his Scroll.

Inside Vale near the middle of the night, the same man that Daniel had run into was waiting inside of an alley alone nervous. He believed that he was being an idiot for being terrified of a teenager, but there was that look in his eyes that shook him.

"It was supposed to be a simple job. All I needed to do was follow around some student that was simple enough."

"It seems you're having an interesting conversation with yourself."

The man jumped realizing that a familiar voice appeared behind him.

He didn't need to turn around to find Daniel leaning against the wall behind him, dressed in different clothing from what he wore before, which consists of a black hoodie.

"Y-You actually came."

"So did you, I honestly thought that I'd have to come to track you down. Since those runes on your wrist allow me to track you as long as I know the general direction."

Daniel replied, causing the man to shutter realizing that he would have tracked him down if he didn't come as he was told, which explained the runes that were still on his wrist.

"W-Well, don't you children have to return around this time?"

He tried speaking in an adult-like manner, however, it did not affect Daniel.

"Are you really trying to act like a proper adult," Daniel asked getting himself from off the wall. "I think a proper adult wouldn't take several photos of teenage girls, more than the person they're supposed to shadow and take photos of."

"Th-That was…."

"Though, I shouldn't be out this late since I don't know much about the school's policies about this. You know how kingdoms and academies are strict about their students and people," Daniel said in an impassive tone before getting serious. "I want to know who hired you to follow me around in an attempt to get incriminating photos."

"U-Uh, I honestly don't know hired me. All that I know is some guy came up to me and handed me a name. Trust me, it's hard for people like me to find work like that to pay this much for following around one student. There aren't many things that someone like me can do in the real world like huntsmen, so this is all I have. I'm from Mantle, so it's difficult for people like us to make a living compared to those from Atlas like you."

Daniel narrowed his eyes at the man's attempt at gaining sympathy, but the fact that he took photos of him wasn't what he was mad about.

"So, you thought that if you also took some photos of the Schnee heiress that you would get lucky and use it to blackmail her family into paying you. And then, while you were at it, you thought you'd test your luck and get some photos of other girls like her teammates to either sell off or use to blackmail their families. I mean, Vale is perfect for that right, all the students are allowed out into the city to unwind, unlike Atlas Academy. So, if either one of the students gets themselves in a situation in these parts, then that you're meal ticket."

As more that Daniel spoke to him, the more that the man could hear the aggression in his voice.

"I already told you that those were all the photos that I took since I came to Vale. So, please just let me off this time. I promise that…."

"I don't think that your words have any kind of merit since it sounds like this isn't the first time you've done this. It also makes me think about the reason that you carry around batons and flashbangs," in a single step, Daniel stood in front of the man once again staring straight into his eyes. "I want you to leave Vale, then return to Mantle and never come back."

"O-Okay, I won't come back. I promise."

"Good, now, I think there's a bar somewhere around here before leaving," Daniel said causing the man to obediently started to head somewhere where he can have a drink leaving Daniel there alone. "Huh, I wonder if I should've told him that I informed my aunt about everything, as well as grave out his description and evidence. Ah, well, it was him who made his bed, so he'll need to sleep in it."

Daniel shrugged his shoulders walking off in the opposite direction wandering off thinking about what he heard.

"I can already tell who hired him to shadow me and get some blackmail material on me. Well, it doesn't matter at this moment, I've already got two scores that I need to settle," he spoke recalling two people, in particular, to who he was thinking about. Before his thoughts had gone back to Weiss and about the life she lived due to one person. "But, that jackass of a businessman is in over his head thinking he can try and blackmail me. Since blackmail can work both ways."

A/N: Well, this is the end of the next chapter of RWBY – Team DUSK, before going further I want to first apologize for the late updates in stories. There were some severe weather troubles where I am at, while I was in the middle of updating this one, which knocked out the power and made it freezing.
